i’m gonna say something. i think the series of unfortunate events movie is good. does it follow the series completely and exactly? absolutely not. it has the first three books crammed into one motion picture. but does it have the exact vibe the books were going for and does jim carrey absolutely fuck as count olaf? yes yes a thousand times yes

see like thats crazy to ME because this stood out to me sooo much, it didnt stand out quite as much the first few times i watched it but i guess after reading volume 0 of the manga it felt twice as bad because now i KNOW that kaido projects on saiki as much as he does because he sees saiki as a quiet, shy, anxious guy with no friends just like him, so watching him take the first possible opportunity to feel popular by putting himself above saiki by essentially bullying him is CRAZYYYYY. but like yk we also know WHY he does it, it happens irl all the time yk ?? hes just insecure, thats why he has a weird superiority complex over the valkyrie breaker kids, thats why he lies to his brother, hes just insecure as fuck and it shows in shitty ways

teruhashis like almost ENTIRE thing is manipulating people and tumblr still loves her (rightfully😇) so i definitely agree that people on here sometimes exaggerate things just to be different LOL kaido is one of the most popular characters so its no surprise people do this to him, though ive never seen anyone actually HATE him tbh

but to be fair, you can say this about almost any saiki k character, they all have these weird complexities that explain their shitty behavior and some people just pick and choose whose good aspects they want to ignore but some of that is just based on different interpretations i guess lolZ

Ohh, another unpopular opinion I have is that I cannot fucking stand the way people blorbo-ify the fuck out of Kaido and Toritsuka. Neither of these characters are innocent little babies (one less than the other, but it applies to both nonetheless) and should NOT be treated as such. It's insane to me how people can justify Toritsuka sexually harassing people (and inappropriately touching chiyo without her consent) and Kaido being a massive dick LOL.

I love both of these characters and it isn't THAT serious, but there are ways to like them without pretending like their wrongdoings either didn't happen or were somehow okay.

I do not believe asshole and babygirl have to be mutually exclusive. They can and should coexist.

Hello everyone and how do you do? In light of the growing Series of Unfortunate Events kin & system community. Myself (Jacques Snicket) and Klaus Baudelaire have decided to create a server space for everyone to congregate! (A word which here means to come together and bond over common ground.)

As what you might expect, if you fit any of the typical DNFI criteria (homophobic, racist, support MAPs, factkin, etc), you will not be welcome, but otherwise everyone is welcome and encouraged to join!

We have PluralKit for systems (and only for systems) and the server itself is run by Klaus and myself, both of which are fictives!

When you join the server, you will have to wait until you read the rules & submit an introduction before being allowed into the rest of the server, but you will have a channel to talk with others until a mod is available to verify you.
