does anyone agree that james Dashner, Suzanne Collins and Veronica Roth should come together and write a crossover novel/book of Maze Runner, the Hunger Games and Divergent to be made? or to write a movie script for it? Peter: Oh god, they texted you ‘hi.’’ punctuation only means one thing, Caleb. They're mad at you. Caleb: No, it's Tobias. They're just being gramatically correct! meanwhile Tobias: And then I used a period so they'd know that I'm mad at them. Tris: A period doesn't say 'I'm mad', it says 'you're dead to me'. Tobias: I stand by my choice.

Hey, guess what guys, I'm not dead!

I've decided that it's finally time to post my Erudite initiation story! I was going to wait until after Amalgam is done, but that feels so far away and I simply love Caleb Prior and my other Erudite kids to pieces.

All the same, please heed the tags on the fic. This one gets kind of dark in later chapters.

Summary:

Knowledge is a costly thing. Erudite is everything anyone could ever dream of. At least, that’s what its young initiates desperately want to believe. It’s the best thing to ever happen to them. It’s the worst thing to ever happen to them. It is what they love most in the world and what they fear more than anything. It is where ambitions come true and those with enough will to climb are reborn as something perfect. It is blindingly beautiful. Caleb Prior is out of his depth and he knows this, maybe only this. He cast his blood into the water and now it is all he can do not to drown. Elizabeth Reynolds finally has what she’s always wanted. She’s finally becoming the person she’s always been supposed to be, that is, if she keeps her ship steady. On the other side of this ocean is paradise, membership, perfection. But the sky grows dark, the waves fight back every moment, the wind howls in their ears. Let only the strongest survive.
