Who Am I pt1

When I was a 13, my dad told me not to worry about boys. He said “You should not get yourself into a relationship until you know who you are as person”. I promised I would take his advice, but it didn’t take long for me to break it. 

It was 7th grade when I met him. The boy who I had fallen in love with. He was not my type what-so-ever. He was outdoorsy, loved to hunt and fish, wore cowboy boots and camo. I can’t remember how it happened, but we became really close. We had a couple of the same classes and sat in the cafeteria together. 

I made it pretty clear how I felt about him, but he was not interested in me. At least thats what I thought. I didn’t know how to flirt, so I looked up tutorials on Pinterest and let my friends teach me stupid pick up lines. I even came up with a stupid plan to get his phone number. Then the day before I was going to try out my plan, he got my number from a mutual friend. 

Fast forward 3 years. This boy and I were still friends, but not anywhere as close as we used to be. In 10th grade he started dating one of my friends, and I was happy for them. But she worried about him a lot! I remember the night of homecoming, we had a sleepover and she kept checking on him, asking where he was and what he was doing. 

6 months later, they broke up. All 3 of us started to become distant for a while, but the ex-girlfriend and I still talked on the weekly basis. Junior year came along and this boy was dating another girl. A girl from a different school, and who happened to be a year older. The boy and I starting talking again, and he would even sit with me on the bus. 

I remember one day mentioning that I wanted to go to the farm show to see the cows. Without hesitation, he offered to take me. I figured he was just trying to be nice, so I declined the offer. After school, I checked his social media to find that he had deleted all of the pictures of his girlfriend. I didn’t ask questions, but I did text him that night and ask if the offer still stood.

Day 14 is Scorpion Pose 🦂 Picture on the left is from 9/20/14 Picture on the right is from today 3/14/20 😳😅SIX YEARS?! Boy I’m old. But with age comes wisdom hehehe. All joking aside, it’s crazy to watch myself from the beginning of my yoga journey because I still feel like I’m a beginner lol. Now I understand. There was no way that Eden from 2014 was going to attempt this pose without a wall. Even now I made sure there was something behind me except the difference is I didn’t rely on it. I haven’t even really attempted forearm stand...like ever as peculiar as that sounds for someone that’s been involved with yoga for more than five years. I was surprised today to almost float up into forearm stand. I felt the balance & that was my safe spot....forearm stand???? A safe spot??! YESS lol compared to scorpion pose it’s a breeze (to me, now). It was fun figuring out where I’m at with scorpion pose now. I’m working on lifting my head up & reaching my toes down...as I was practicing this pose today it was really easy to lose my balance but in a controlled way of course. No flipping back and forth *gotta protect that spine*. I was able to sit comfortably like this forrrrrrr...wait for it.... My First Post

I’ve been struggling! Haven’t we all though? I am severely running out of things for my THREE going on 18 year old to do. He is way too smart! But I am way too unmotivated. I’m not well versed in how to get a toddler to buckle down and learn something new. So i mostly let him learn at his own pace. He reads books with me, I let him watch educational things like Circle time with Ms. Monica. I think her weekly repetitiveness definitely gives him more insight into what school will be like. Will there even be a such things as school after this Pandemic? I am exceptionally weary. I am also R A N D O M. There aren’t many things to do except wonder how life will change after this trying time. Well, I guess I’ll introduce myself! I am MOMMY! My son is Maxwell, Max or Waxmell for short. He is 37 months old. We live in the south with liberal views and Yankee accents. My BD(short for fiance) is of a much lighter skin tone. Yes. He is white. I am Black. We together made the most beautiful human being the world has seen. Yes, I said it. No, I don’t care about other children. I am 1000000% convinced my offspring will be the reason the world *actually* changes. I have been told I have a way with words. Most likely meaning that I say the words most people don’t have the gall, audacity,or tenacity to speak out loud. I hope this site will be welcoming. Although that hasn’t ever really stopped me.
