When portraying romantic or sexual scenarios involving your OC, do you aim to inspire a particular response in the reader or viewer? Whether a warm fuzzy feeling, or getting really quite turned on (or possibly both)?

I don't actually really write anything (neither romantic/sexual or otherwise) currently about my ocs, and vanilla gpose can only get you so far when involving more than 1 character ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But if I were to actually put in words some of the scenes I've toyed around with in my head, I thiiiink it really depends on the scene? Fuzzy feelings for cute fluffy scenes, other for spicier stuff, melancholy for some angstier scenes. I currently prefer to think about more upbeat scenes for my ocs, so I guess my theoretical writing would lean more on the warm fuzzy side? Maybe some spice, if I ever figure out how (I've thought about some short ficlets for Hawu'li but I've yet to find the motivation to actually start or get over the fact that writing in foreign language is a whole another skillset than writing in your native one).

And as a kind of sidenote: I'm probably super selfish with my writing haha, but I feel like, if the words get ME to react in a way I want (like that warm fuzzy feeling for some cute fluffy scene for example), that's good enough. If others feel the same while reading, good! If not, eh, not much lost.

1. Is your Tav a romanceable character? Are there any specific requirements to romancing them?

He's very romanceable, and there are no pre-reqs for romancing him. The PC can approach him at any time to start his route, but if they don't, and they aren't already in a relationship with another companion, he'll start an initiating dialogue during the act 1 party. If you turn him down he takes it in stride and says friendship with you is still a treasure worth having.

8. If they’re poly, do they have a reaction to the PC engaging in a relationship with Halsin?

He'll tell the PC he can't blame them for being drawn to such a fine specimen and say that if they ever have room for one more, he is at their command.

10. Will they join in with the PC and the Drow Twins, or no?

He will! When the twins say they want both of you, he'll ask the player character if they're alright with sharing him.

Does your OC enjoy wearing the funky dorm socks....not the uniform, just the socks, or do they try to cover them up like Jade?

OH I LOVE THIS ONE

So when he was initially attending Night Raven College, Chrysanthos HATED the Octavinelle socks. One of the few condolences of ending up in Octavinelle rather than Ignihyde was at least the uniform of Octavinelle is classy...until you get to those funky goofy socks. He absolutely did what he could to cover them up and hide them.

After the blastcycle accident that made him lose most of his leg and caused him to get the prosthetic, wearing the socks with the uniform was tricky. (Didn't want to cause static build-up in the prosthetic.)

As a graduated adult, Chrys kept his entire Octavinelle dorm uniform out of a sense of eventual pride and understanding that he had about himself, and that includes the socks! He's actually quite fond of them these days and whenever he's wearing one of his vinyl or porcelain prosthetics on his leg, he'll put on the dorm uniform socks and wear them around his apartment just for fun.

It seems like almost yesterday that we celebrated our first ever Kiara Theron Appreciation Week! We are back a little early for 2023, because February has a very special day that absolutely reminds us of Kiara!!

This year, we will be celebrating our second edition of KTAW around the same time as World Languages Day (Feb 21st), considering Kiara's love for languages and cultures!! We have incorporated a couple new themes that still have a strong connection to Kiara herself.

This event will be held from February 20th to 24th, 2023. Any content is welcome - art, fanfic, edits, essays, moodboards, interactive media, headcanons...even short appreciation posts and screencaps! Our only requirement is that the content should be Kiara-focused and depict her positively.

Each day has a theme, and some will have two. For those days, you can choose whichever theme you prefer or you can even combine them! It isn't completely necessary to post the content exactly on the day it's meant for...just make sure you tag it with the day and theme even if you're submitting it on a later day.

Here are our themes:

Feb 20th - Art & Literature/Wine

Feb 21st - Polyglot

Feb 22nd - Around the World (Travel)

Feb 23rd - Family/Home

Feb 24th - Relationships/Friendships/Throwback

We usually keep an extra week in case you would like more time to develop your pieces, and we also accept WIPs. We would still be happy to accept your piece even if it's not fully complete or you can share an excerpt! There is also a wealth of older pieces out there that we always feel deserve attention, so we also accept "throwback" pieces! Hi, I'm just sending out a random Ask to get to know my mutuals. What would your most ideal day be like? What would you love to do to be utterly at peace.

Please forgive the wait time for answer, I wanted to be able to give this ask the time it deserves.

First, what a thoughtful ask! I'm so thankful to be on the asklist for this

Now to the actual answer...

My most favorite days were the ones I spent with animals, but one specific day comes to mind.

It was the second day of our of my last camping trip with my dog. We were in a new place, with a large field and a beautiful stream running through it. I woke up to the sounds of birds and leaves rustling in the wind, with my dog happily snuggled up to me. Then I made breakfast and coffee on the fire, and a chipmunk joined me - my dog loved to see small animals and we have chipmunks in our yard so he's used to them. I read for a little bit while my dog enjoyed the sun and the forest sounds. He was already quite old by that point, so he laid and took everything in. Then we had a stroll through the field and he got the tiniest flowers I've ever seen stuck on his fur and it made me laugh. When we arrived at the stream, he splashed around a little while I soaked, and we walked back to camp. It started raining just after, and we spent the next few hours snuggled up in our tent, enjoying the pitter patter of water on the canvas. I read some more, he napped.

I'm pretty sure my perfect day involves napping, an animal, coffee and time to read.
