Usually I don’t like to talk about shipping as personally I see it as something that’s based on one’s personal opinions or tastes, like asking someone what their favorite ice cream flavor is.

That being said Lily criticizing Huntlow being canon, because it was rushed and Hunter is somehow abusive, yet still ships Skarlow is wild to me. As Skara was one of Willows bullies. Maybe it wasn’t shown but she was apart of Bosha’s crew, was described as mean by Amity, and had no issue with joining in their antics. It’s not hard to read between the lines that Skara was just as cruel as Amity and Bosha were.

And I’m saying this as someone who also likes Skarlow, it just feels ironic that the woman known for telling people to beat up their bullies, ships a victim with one of theirs.

So a couple days ago I wrote this post about Skarlow at the University of Wild Magic and one of the things I talked about was Skara helping Willow during a rough patch by bringing her into class as a special guest and I can’t stop imagining just how cute that would actually be.

Skara introducing her to the whole class as ‘The most #1 Flyer Derby Captain this side of the Titan, the Strongest Plant Witch alive, AND the single cutest girlfriend EVER! Also helped save the Isles or something, I can’t keep track of all her amazing accomplishments!’

The kids raising their hands and asking stuff like ‘Is it true you single handedly destroyed Belos?’ And ‘Are you really strong enough to arm wrestle The Collector?” And Skara has to admit she may have added a bit of Willow-centric flair to a couple stories.

Willow introducing the kids to Clover, and them all thinking they’re the cutest Palisman ever, making Daisy jealous and earning a laugh from Skara as she has to reassure her own Palisman that she’s really cool too.

Willow teaching the kids how to play Flyer Derby, and explaining some of her favorite moments playing it in Hexside, occasionally veering off into just talking about how cute Skara was in her uniform or how smart her strategies were, making Skara blush.

The two college kids setting up a friendly match with half the class each, playfully trash talking/flirting with each other while coaching their kids through the game in the most encouraging, down to earth way possible. Skara’s team winning, and Willow exclaiming that now she has to kiss the winner, and the kids getting grossed out as Willow pulls Skara’s face in for a surprised, but very welcomed smooch.

Willow being given a ‘Thank You for Saving The Isle’s’ card by one of the kids, signed by the whole class, and her opening it with a tear in her eye as she makes out words in the scribbles, like ‘HERO’ and ‘AWESOME’ and ‘GREAT,’ including the message from Skara in the original post.

Willow flying off after an hour or so, waving goodbye as she and Clover leave. Skara waving back until a student tugs on her pants to ask if Willow’s gonna be coming back, cause they all like her and her Palisman, and Skara making a mental note to ask Willow if she wants to come again.

Willow arriving to Skara and Luz’s dorm after Skara gets back to kiss her awesome girlfriend and thank her for the huge pick me up. The two cuddling up on the couch, Willow teasing Skara by saying that she’s jealous Skara gets to hang out with so many awesome kids, and now Willow wants a kid herself, which makes Skara sputter like an idiot, just as Luz walks in, and turns right back around to tell Amity that it’s possible that that they’re gonna be aunts soon!

Skarlow.

Man, imagine how cool it would be to see Skara develop from a bullies lackey into her own person with Willow's help. Maybe an alt version of "Any Sport" where instead of focusing on Hunter, it was about Skara being told to join the Entrails by a belligerent Boscha so she can take the team down from within, only for Willow to be a better friend to her then Boscha ever was. Imagine Willow telling Skara how cool her strategies are, how smart she is, and Skara being stunned at being complimented instead of put down. Imagine Skara asking Willow why she let her on the team after everything she's done to her, and Willow telling her that it's because she believes in second chances, because she see's a part of Skara that's kind and good, and that Willow believes she can be more then a bully. And imagine Boscha near the end of the defining game, yelling at Skara to knock Willow off her staff or drop the flag or lose and Skara just finally tells her to shove it as she and Willow lead the Entrails to victory!

And imagine all the potential drama afterwords. Imagine Skara starting to fall for Willow, but trying to suppress her emotions because she doesn't think someone as cool and wonderful as Willow could ever feel the same way about her, especially after being friends with Boscha. And imagine Willow developing feelings for Skara, knowing she bullied her and still feeling hurt, but unable to deny how nice and fun and cute she is now. Imagine interchanging scenes of Skara and Willow talking to Viney and Gus respectively, the two rambling about their complicated feelings as their friends don't really know what to do but listen and think "Wow, she has it BAD!" Imagine the pair becoming more and more distracted during Flyer Derby games, Skara's strategies revolving around Willow doing the big plays, Willow always giving Skara the flags to score with.

Imagine if the show lasted till Sophmore Grom, and Skara and Willow, now head over heels for each other, stay on the field after their latest practice, both wanting to talk to the other. Imagine Skara telling Willow how much she means to her, how sick she is at how she treated her for years and how she knows she doesn't deserve Willow, and Willow has every right to say no, but Skara would be eternally grateful if Willow accepted her Gromposal of a bouquet of PRoses (flowers that whisper love poems). And imagine Willow, teary eyed, hugging Skara and telling her of course, of COURSE, she wants to go to Grom with her, as Viney, Gus, and now Hunter fly over the stadium, forming "SKARA, WILL YOU GO TO GROM WITH ME? -WILLOW" in the air.

I actually cannot believe you guys. I can’t believe I got four people asking me my opinion on bully/victim ships after I’ve both made a very clear stance on both of these ships and stated multiple times that I was bullied in school and am still dealing with the aftermath.

Do y’all think it’s funny to keep asking a victim of years of bullying to address how the entire fandom is constantly romanticizing her experience???

It’s bad enough that it’s happening at all, even though I’m not surprised whatsoever since this is everywhere. Whenever I enter a fandom of a show where someone gets bullied it’s read as romantic. That doesn’t mean I want to see it??? I don’t want to be reminded these ships exist. I’ve literally blocked the ship tags everywhere I could and unfollowed people for making art for these ships because it’s triggering for me to see those. I don’t want to to talk about them. I don’t even want to think about their existence. I’ve made my stance, loudly, so please STOP FUCKING ASKING ME TO DO IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN! I’m tired of talking about this! I’m sick and tired of constantly having to explain why bullying is shitty and shouldn’t be romanticized!

The only thing that would make me okay with these ships would be if there was no bullying in canon. I don’t want to see a victim dating her bully, ever, but especially not because of how keen most of y’all are to either just ignore the bullying ever happened in the first place or just treating it as fucking flirting. I don’t get it. I’ll never get why anyone finds the idea of being bullied hot, the only thing it is is in fact fucking traumatizing.

If anyone read this entire post and is somehow tempted to try and convince me otherwise? Do us both the favor to spare me and get off my blog. This isn’t up for fucking debate! I spent hours on end crying in bed and I am still super insecure because the whole thing permanently destroyed my confidence! 1) How old were you when you first starting writing fanfiction? I started around 2011, so I was around 13 years old at the time.

2) What fandoms do you write for and do you have a particular favourite if you write for more than one? I am currently writing for The Owl House fandom, but I am intending on broadening my scope to She-Ra as well as Lord of the Rings, Zelda, and ATLA bc gay fantasy brain go brrr.

3) Do you prefer writing OC’s or reader inserts? Explain your answer. I prefer to write original characters myself. Y/N stuff is not exactly my forte. It gives me more control as to how I know the characters will act depending on their own characterization and backstory.

4) What is your favourite genre to write for? I actually really prefer to write really tense stuff, despite my misleading username. I live for the conflict of the moment and it does lean into some pretty angsty stuff sometimes. I mean, look at Soul Bound. However, I also do like writing light-hearted comedies as well as some fluff whenever I can get around to it. My heart yearns and so too must the romantic tension.

5) If you had to choose a favourite out of all of your multi-chaptered stories, which would it be and why? I really only have one that is published, but it is definitely the one that I do like the most. Soul Bound was originally a story that was going to stand on its own. It was set in a world that I created meticulously from the ground up, taking inspirations from Lord of the Rings, Legend of Zelda, ATLA among other things. I do have other multi-chapter projects in the works that I absolutely love, however out of my published babies, it's SB 100%.

6) If you had to delete one of your stories and never speak of it again, which would it be and why? The Legion of Lenny Faces was a crack fic that I just posted for funsies. I wouldn't mind getting rid of that.

7) When is your preferred time to write? Since I am starting to work again, I'm thinking about starting work on my writing around 2PM. It's normally around that time that I start anyway, so it works out.

8) Where do you take your inspiration from? Movies, music, sometimes even my own songs that I write. Inspiration really comes from anywhere that hits me. However, it hits especially hard whenever I make a playlist for a particular mood that I want a story to have.

9) In your xxx fic, what’s your favourite scene that you wrote? In Soul Bound, my current favorite scene that I have written was the scene in the chapter Confrontations with the scene between Amity and Odalia. I essentially channeled everything I ever wanted to say to my abuser into Amity's words and it was the most cathartic thing that I ever wrote.

10) In your xxx fic, why did you decide to end it like that? Did you have an alternative ending in mind?In The Bean that I wrote for April Fools, while it definitely is a crack fic, I still wanted it to read like an Owl House episode or at least an Owl House short. However, I did think of an alternate ending in mind where the bean just kept on multiplying until it flooded the entirety of the BI. However, That would mean by those rules, duplicating all non-living things on the isles.

11) Have you ever amended a story due to criticisms you’ve received after posting it? I split an entire chapter into two pieces and rewrote another one just because of criticisms that made complete sense to me. In all honesty, I did blame the burnout, however all of that and the small break I did take helped a lot to reinvigorate my love for this story that I am writing.

12) Who is your favourite character to write for? Why? Skara. 100%, she is babey and I love her.

13) Who is your least favourite character to write for? Why? Gonna be honest, while I love King as a character, I don't exactly like writing him. I feel like if I wrote him as more of an active part of the story, it would detract entirely from the whole thing. Second would be my OC, Robert Almade solely because I feel like he can be much more fleshed out, but also because there are parts of his character that I did write that just don't make complete sense to me. This should be worked out later.

14) How did you come up with the title for the xxx? - You can ask about multiple stories. For Soul Bound, I literally asked a Discord server for ideas because all the titles I did think of were shit XD. However, I recently came up with the title for my Skarlow punk band AU, Skara and the Wallflower, based on the book/movie The Perks of Being a Wallflower as well as band names in general.

15) If you write OC’s, how do you decide on their names? I normally think about the themes the character embodies and how they may change and grow throughout the story, and then I translate specific keywords into different languages and trim them in a way that sound like a name.

16) How did you come up with the idea for xxx?[Ask me about a specific story]

17) Post a line from a WIP that you’re working on.“Oh, sure! Protect me from him, but let Amity take the brunt of it and possibly die? What if she is dead, Eda? What if I can’t see her again?”

18) Do you have any abandoned WIP’s? What made you abandon them? I'd rather not talk about it.

19) Are there any stories that you’ve written that you’d really love to do a sequel to? Possibly I may have one for Skara and the Wallflower if I feel up to it, however Soul Bound is going to be a one-and-done deal.

24) How do you feel about writing smutty scenes? I can write smut. However I don't ever feel comfortable publishing smut. It really just isn't for me.

25) Have you ever cried whilst writing a story? YES! I ABSOLUTELY HAVE!!!! SO MANY TEARS BECAUSE OF THE ANGST!!!

26) Which part of your xxx fic was the hardest to write? This most recent chapter was actually the hardest to write because I was already so scared when writing Scrying of the Soul that when I started writing this one, I didn't know how to settle down with this whole thing. I knew Luz needed to process her trauma before I introduced the ghost, but exactly how I felt like I had trouble with.

27) Do you make a general outline for your stories or do you just go with the flow? I have a varied mix of ways I outline. Yes, I do have a list of bullet points about what major plot points go where, but really that's all that comes together before I start writing. Soul Bound is completely plotted out in the very broad strokes, but the rest is just improvisation.

28) What is something you wished you’d known before you started posting fanfiction? That writing would be the single most fun thing that I have ever done and to be fair while I do want my stories to be the best they can be, just the fact that I'm getting them out there makes me happy.

29) Do you have a story that you feel doesn’t get as much love as you’d like? Gonna be honest, my one-shots don't get a lot of love, but it is entirely understandable.

30) In contrast to 29 is there a story which gets lots of love which you kinda eye roll at? Ya know, Imma just say a song title that I wrote that many people love that I've grown to just not like. Ticking Time Away.

32) Are any of your characters based on real people? The way I characterize Odalia is based on a mix of what is already established. That and a heavy doseage of my abuser and their mindset. Which is kind of why it felt cathardic writing that scene in Conflicts.

33) What’s the biggest compliment you’ve gotten? Honestly, whenever I make a revision and it is heavily praised by either a reader if I edited an already published chapter or a beta reader if I had revised a particular scene they didn't like. I thrive off of any good critique and it makes me want to do better.

34) What’s the harshest criticism you’ve gotten? I mean there are people who wouldn’t read just because what I wrote was a ghost fic, but tbh it wasn't even that harsh.

35) Do you share your story ideas with anyone else or do you keep them close to your chest? I normally share with other writers when I'm really excited so I can bounce ideas off of them, however specific story elements I keep close to my chest because that part feels like my personal touch moreso than the general idea.

36) Can you give us a spoiler for one of your WIP’s? HAHA NICE TRY BEYOTCH YOU JUST HAVE TO READ IT!! (Other than the fact that Amity does get her body back, but that's already been promised.)

37) What’s the funniest story you’ve written? The BEAN

I would honestly be willing to collab with anybody from the Good Witch Society on Discord. As well as my partner which we already talked about quite a few ideas that we had for stories.

39) Do you prefer first, second or third person? So, I do love writing inner monologue, however if I was ever staying in one character's perspective, it would just feel way too limiting. I prefer third person omniscient so I can at least give the reader insight into what's going on in everybody's heads.

40) Do people know you write fanfiction?IRL, yeah. But I have established that I am using this to exercise my own writing skills.

41) What’s you favourite minor character you’ve written? Emira I would actually consider a minor character in the grand scope of my story, however I absolutely adore writing her.

42) Song fic - What made you decide to use the song xxx for xxx.I write my own songs and to be completely fair, it was really spontaneous in Soul Bound, but I found out a plot point that could definitely weave in extremely well within the story.

Skara and the Wallflower being a punk band AU will definitely be a songfic with all original songs.

43) Has anyone ever guessed the plot twist of one of your fics before you posted it? Actually, nobody has ever really guessed a plot twist yet.

44) What is the last line you wrote? This really can't be good.

45) What spurs you on during the writing process? I already really adore the stories that I write and my goals are to write them and get them out there. I think about how the characters react and how things can go wrong in a way that makes sense.

48) What’s your favourite trope to write? Friends to Lovers, hands down.

49) Can you remember the first fic you read? What was it about? To be completely honest, the first fic I read was a Zelda fic. I forgot what most of the plot was about, but it did involve Link and Zelda going into Termina and meeting up with this original character who did everything he can to fuck with the both of them. It's very vague, but I absolutely loved it and I never remembered it updating.

50) If you could write only angst, fluff or smut for the rest of your writing life, which would it be and why? I'd have to cave and say angst. I like to have conflict in my stories, but I never like to have it be complete brooding. Just some light trauma, you know?

So how would Skara and willow become an actual couple? I’m only asking because you have a few different answers.

Unfortunately, I'm not certain what to say, because if you're asking me 'How canonically would Skara and Willow get together,' it's kind of difficult one to answer.

The reason I've given so many answer's as to how Skara and Willow become a couple is because A) People asked often for different variations of it, and B) The show itself doesn't give a lot insight into their relationship, so a lot of speculation's can be made. We know Skara bullied Willow in the past, and we know now the two are friends, but a lot of specifics and nitty gritty details are less clear. The show never even gives a hand-wavey explanation for why Skara and Willow became friends, for Titan's sake. It can make for pretty fun speculation fodder and fan theorizing, but it also means creating a perfectly 100% show accurate answer to how Willow and Skara start dating involves a great deal of headcannoning, and also would involve explaining how Huntlow would break up since it's fairly obvious the intention at the end is that the two are in some form of romantic relationship.

I dooooooooo have something of an idea, a potential outline for a long-term Skarlow focused post-timeskip fanfic I'd be happy to see someone tackle, but with life, GS, and another project, there's too much for me to ever do it myself. So if you would like to take up the challenge of writing it yourself, feel free to take the idea and do it yourself. Hell, I might even beta-read it for you.

It starts from Skara's perspective as it follows her developing feelings over Willow while the pair are at Hexside. Over the years, Skara can't help but grow fond of her team captain and friend, eventually realizing she likes Willow a lot more then she should. She refuses to act on her feelings though, both because of her past as a bully and the fact that she's dating Hunter, so Skara mostly just vents to her bestie Viney about it all. After Hexside, Skara becomes a teachers aide and thinks she's fully gotten over her feelings for Willow until Hunter's 21st birthday, where he proposes to her in front of all their family and friends. Willow runs off, panicked, Luz and Amity follow after, and the party attendee's, unsure what to do, try either to help cheer Hunter up, or slip away before things get bad, which is Skara's method. Later, she hears that Willow broke up with Hunter, and a tiny, selfish pang of hope in Skara's chest reminds her that she hasn't given up her feelings for Willow. Even if she wishes she really had.

Later through Willow's perspective, we see how her relationship with Hunter was like. How she always liked him, cared about him, but never felt the same way for him as she did for her. How she always saw Amity and Luz and her dad's and wondered if she would eventually feel as happy with Hunter as they seemed with their partners. And how she never wanted to hurt Hunter, but after he proposed to her, she just didn't know how to react other then to panic. Essentially, she'd always love Hunter, but never felt in love with him, which leads to a lot of her personal conflict in the story. How she never wanted to hurt her friends, but now seems to have created this painful awkwardness in the Hexsquad because she could never be honest with Hunter or herself...

The main focus would be on both girls and their complicated emotions, both regarding their respective situations and, after a while, their feelings for each other. It would also feature a number of subplots, such as Skara being a teachers aid, Boscha and her relationship with Maya, and Hunter's own journey of self discovery after the breakup.

Not all the details are worked out perfectly, but I think there's at least something here, ya know?

I've been looking through some skarlow stuff recently and I've seen your stuff a lot, I really like it and think it's very cute, but I was wondering what got you into Skarlow in the first place?

I don't know if you've answered a question like this before, sorry if it's repetitive.

I’ve actually noticed you liking and reblogging a lot of my stuff today and honestly it makes me smile to know there’s still skarlow fans out there.

I have answered this question before, but I don’t mind answering it again;

Basically, I wrote a story called The Wrong Blight, and decided to work in a minor running gag/character point that Skara was secretly crushing HARD for Willow. It’s not a major thing sadly, just a few jokes and Skara eventually apologizing to Willow about her bullying. But this was also back in the days of the hiatus between seasons 1 and 2 (the last chapter was released a day before Tides), so the only real Willow ship was Boschalow. Anything aside from that was considered rare. I had friends who asked me why I included it, and I made a joke about how ‘Willow deserves the best, and Skara is the best, so.’

I didn’t think too much of it until one day two of my friends, one being Quartz (the writer of Valleween, if you know that one), writing the first chapter of their fic, Guitar Strings and Flower Petals. And all because of my little Skarlow mentions.

Eventually the other writer dropped out and so I took the reigns, working on GS with Quartz. And ever since I’ve been ride or die on the Skarlow train!

Sadly, Skarlow has never gotten the love it really deserved. I honestly think it could be a great fandom ship still, combining the awkward and angsty emotions of Boschalow with the sweet adorableness of Lumity. But alas, it never got its due, not even when MoringMark shipped it. But at least I have GS and a few friends who see the potential. And hey, it’s kinda cool being part of something so super niche.

But still, thank you for your love and support. It means a lot you like my little silly ship!

You have a favorite legends of runeterra champion?

I... have never been asked anything about LoR before. Huh... Honestly, kinda throwing me for a loop here. But ya know, what the hey! My blog, my questions to answer!

(Note: To my Skarlow fans, unless you play LoR or LoL, prepare to have nothing I say here make sense until the very end.)

So I don't actually play a lot of LoR outside of Path of Campions these days. Competitive just got really unfun for me, sadly, so if it's not a PoC champion from sets before the release of Runeterran champs, there's a good chance I haven't played them.

However, I do have to say, out of all the champs, my personal favorite to play has to be...

THIS LITTLE SHIT!

Not because he's super good or anything, actually, but because I love the thrill of watching your opponent draw a card, grinning as you watch the mushroom count on the card grow so high it reaches into the hundreds, and your opponent loses a game they probably deserved to win.

Hehe.

How about a beach day adventure with Skarlow?

Ooooh! Now this is a cute idea! Sadly one we won’t see cause we don’t have 20 more adventures, but, well, it’s still worth exploring.

Normally, the sea surrounding the Boiling Isles is… well, boiling. As such, beavers are not exactly a romantic hotspot for Witches. But, during an exceptionally low tide, an event called a ‘low boil’ happens, where the Isles oceans don’t burn on contact, and certain couples like, say, Willow and Skara, like to go and have fun get together.

Skara eagerly asks Willow to go to the beach during the next low boil, which Willow is more then happy to accept. Luz and Amity plan to go as well, specifically to a small private piece that the Blight family owns, so they make it a double date. So when the perfect weekend roles around where a low boil occurs, both pairs of couples grab their cutest swimwear, hop on their Palismen, and fly off to Blight Beach for some low boil fun.

The four decide to start their date with a fun game Luz shows them: Chicken. Luz takes Amity on her shoulders, Willow does the same to Skara, and they spend a half hour playfully trying to push one another around. Skara eventually stumbles off, but they’re deep enough that she’s fine, and it’s a good excuse for Willow to carry her in her arms back to the beach, so she doesn’t complain.

After the game, Amity and Willow decide to chill on their beach blankets, while Luz and Skara attempt to build the worlds biggest sand castle, because of course they do. Amity and Willow provide some assistance, such as using Abomination goo to make the castle more sturdy and Willow summoning a flower wall to keep any troublesome beach creatures from messing with it. Eventually, Skara and Luz proudly unveil their little castle: a lumpy, misshapen wreckage of a castle that Luz said USED to be the worlds biggest, until an intense battle. Still, the pair are proud of their creation, and their respective partners reward them with a kiss (Amity on Luz’s cheek, Willow on the tip of Skara’s nose).

The pair of couples decide to split up for a bit, with Luz and Amity deciding to go for a walk while Willow and Skara stay where they are. As their friends leave, Skara spots a big conch shell and decides if Gus’s weird idea about humans hearing the ocean in them was true. Unfortunetly, she didn’t take into account the idea of a SpiderCrab inside, and is met with a pinched ear. It’s not enough to draw blood thankfully, but it still stings. Lucky for Skara, Amity planned for such a catastrophe and brought a Healers kit Emira gave her (or was it Em’s girlfriend? She’s not sure). Willow quickly rushes to apply a soothing cream to it, not realizing how sensitive Skara’s ears actually are. When Willow touches them, Skara squeaks and try’s to pull them down on instinct. The Plant witch quickly realizes her mistake and rushes to apologize, but Skara tells her she was just surprised, and she doesn’t mind Willow touching her ears if she asks. Willow asks this time, and Skara nods, and Willow applies the ointment carefully while Skara sinks into it, happy and content to be so close to Willow. When the ointments fully applied, Skara asks Willow to carry her to the blanket to cuddle, and Willow gladly does. It feels so nice and soothing to Skara that she falls asleep within five minutes, while Willow just lays next to her partner and wonders what she did to be lucky enough to get a girlfriend who’s so wonderful and cute.

After an hour or so, Skara wakes up groggily to Luz excitedly rushing over: Apparently Eda sent over Owlbert with some stuff for human smore’s and a bonfire (she sent maybe a little too much lighter fluid, but Luz was able to measure it out). And now that the suns getting low, the four decide to have one! After it’s all set, Luz shows her friends how to cook a marshmallow for a smore, which instantly becomes a massive hit with all the Witches (Willow has to stop Skara from pouring the entire marshmallow bag into her mouth). The four girls chat, cook smore’s, laugh, brag about their partners. It’s a fun, easygoing end to the night.

Sadly, all the girls have to make it back home soon, and Luz and Amity take off to the Owl House, holding hands on the way. Skara and Willow both have to fly separately back to their own homes, though, so they sadly can’t leave holding hands. Instead, Willow gives Skara shell that had pinched her earlier, now SpiderCrab free and holding a bottle of ointment for her ear. Removing it, Skara confirms that she CAN, in fact, hear the ocean in the shell. Giggling, Willow asks if Skara needs a little more ointment, to which Skara lies yes. Willow then asks Skara if she’s ok with her applying it, to which Skara truthfully responds yes. Willow does, and in Skara’s delighted haze, she asks if she can kiss Willow. To which Willow has the only reaction the Plant witch could have: a solid, all consuming blush, followed by a swift shake of her head, and an enthused nod. And Skara does, in fact, kiss her. And the two girls smile, promise to message each other when they’re home, and wave goodbye on their Palismen, giddy and happy and grateful for their magical day on the beach.

Have you done a skarlow thanksgiving prompt? Cause if not, how about one where Luz invites everyone, Eda, Raine, King, Amity, Gus, Willow, Skara to spend thanksgiving at the Noceda household

I’ve never really thought about a Noceda Thanksgiving. But honestly I like to consider these holiday ones, so thanks for the suggestion.

Also, I don’t know if you meant for me to include them, but I’ll be adding Hunter and Vee to the list, since both can be considered adopted Noceda’s, and Viney, since she’s the only Entrail that would be unaccounted for.

•The day starts with the Noceda’s all cooking together, trying to create the best meals they can for their guests. Camilla cooks the turkey, Luz is in charge of baking empanada’s, Vee helps make a few other meals, and Hunter is in charge of decorations, because while Camilla may love the boy he isn’t exactly a great cook.

•A few hours before the dinner, the Witches start arriving with their own dishes. First Eda, Raine and King, carrying the best meal they could: a bunch of ‘borrowed’ sandwiches from Luz’s favorite shop (Raine went back to pay for them, but only had a couple dozen Snails). Luz is excited, but Camila makes a mental note to apologize and pay for Eda’s theft later.

•Next, Amity, bringing along a home made Appleblood Pie! It’s… edible, and doesn’t kill Luz in one bite, so she takes her girlfriend into a big hug and puts the pie next to the sandwiches. Amity also brings her brother as a surprise for Hunter, much to his nervous chagrin.

•After that, Gus, Willow, Skara, and Viney arrive with their own dishes. From Gus, a traditional Witches desert known as a Giraffes Head, made out of Slitherbeast meat. From Skara and Viney, Meatza with a Fairy-stuffed crust. And from Willow, a salad.

I think you can safely assume which of the three was the only one Luz and Camila ate.

•The gang spends the time before dinner hanging out. Willow and Skara try out a game of roller hockey in the streets versus Gus and Viney, while Amity and Luz cheer them on and King plays referee. Hunter and Ed go for a walk, enjoying the crisp autumn air. And inside, Vee helps Camila finish up the turkey while they talk with Eda and Raine. Both Camila and Eda tell a few stories of taking care of Luz (though Eda has to edit hers lightly to make it look like Luz didn’t almost die at least once a week) while Raine asks about human bands and music, given permission by Camila to scour her record collection to play. She finds one, a gift from Camila’s dad, from a band AB/CD, which Raines falls in love with, which explains why heavy metal rock is what’s being played over the speakers at dinner later.

•By the time Willow scores the final goal and a lovestruck Hunter and silly Ed return from their walk, dinner is ready! The gangs all run inside for the biggest meal Camila and the Noceda’s have ever prepared, all for the wonderful friends and family Luz met in the BI. It required all the tables and chairs in the house to form the dining and food tables, but from the smiles and laughter from everyone, it was worth it.

•Later that night, as all the eating was finished and the night wound down, everyone from the BI helped take care of the dishes and tables, thanking the Noceda’s for the lovely time. As the gang all left (not before one last kiss from Ed to Hunter though), Luz have each of her friends a hug on their way out, vowing to make next Thanksgiving even better for everyone!

Skarlow…at grom? As grom queens themselves?!?

I can't believe I never thought about them as like, Grom queens. Obviously, they'd go to Grom together, but the idea of either being Grom queen never occurred to me for some reason. So, here's what I think would happen.

It would be Willow who'd be recommended as Grom Queen: She's the strongest Witch in school, leads the newest sports team to a tournament win, and was one of the key members of the resistance against Belos. Of COURSE she'd be the best option to fight Grom! So Bump makes the call over the loudspeakers. And Willow starts out actually really excited. She's honestly been considered to be good enough to fight freaking GROM, of all things! She's ecstatic! And so's Skara! She's so proud of her Petals. She can't help but brag about dating the world's best Grom Queen (she and Luz debate about that a little, of course, but they eventually agree to call it a draw). And the Entrails are happy about it too. Until Hunter asks what Willow's biggest fear is, reminding Willow of the actual thing she has to do. And so, Willow has to recon with thinking about what, to Grom anyway, would constitute her greatest fear. She's afraid of ladybugs, sure, but will that be what Grom uses? That's such a stupid and silly fear to use, really. BUT WHAT IF GROM DOES USE IT!?!? Still, she tries to keep her head high, and with Skara and her friends rooting for her, Willow feels ready for anything Grom can throw.

Skara helps Willow train, trying to throw all Willow's biggest fears Grom can use against her: Ladybugs, Boscha, bones, bats, other b-words. Everything Grom could conceivably use, Skara helped Willow train against, trying to help her girlfriend gain the necessary courage needed to beat the demon back into the depths of Hexside. And right before the two entered the gymnasium, Skara gave Willow a 'good-luck-not-that-you-need-it' kiss! Now, Willow's ready to take on just about anything! So she hopes, anyway.

As Willow steps into the gym, the floor opens up, and she descends down the steps into Grom’s domain. She starts the fight off strong: she smashes through ladybugs, crushes a collection of living bones, and is able to snuff out an army of bats. It’s all going well, and the school cheer’s her on, most of all Skara, borrowing Luz’s pom-pom’s and everything. But it’s as Willow turns to look up at her cheerleading girlfriend that Grom pulls out his ace in the hole: when Willow looks back, Grom’s transformed into Boscha (the real Boscha, coincidentally, did not come to Grom that year, saying it was stupid and dumb and how dumb it was that Willow was Grom queen). Willow just charges onward... only to be tripped by Skara.

Willow tries to get up, only to be knocked down by ‘Skara’. They start to mock her, about how stupid she was for trusting her, that ‘Skara’ was always going to leave her and be back to Boscha’s bestie. ‘Skara’ summons up a guitar and uses it’s soundwaves to smash Willow into the wall. As Willow struggles back onto her feet, ‘Boscha’ throws a fireball, reiterating the same point as ‘Skara’: that her girlfriends going to go back to bullying Willow, and Willow’s stupid for putting faith into her. Willow knows they’re stupid, and not real, and that she should ignore them... so why does it hurt so much?

Skara, up above, is stunned, unsure what to do: Amity helped Luz, right, so there doesn’t need to just be one person fighting Grom right? As the idea crosses her mind, she spots the sword fallen onto the ground where Willow was shot back by Boscha. Without a second thought, she drops her pom-pom’s and divebombs into Grom’s lair, grabbing the sword and slashing down ‘Boscha’ in one swift, badarse motion (she’s a bit disappointed Willow didn’t see it honestly). She rushes to strike down ‘Skara,’ only to be thrown to the side by a tentacle. Skara picks herself up, but gets attacked by ‘Skara’ yet again. It tries to get into Skara’s head, but Willow is able to break ensnare ‘Skara’ in vines. Skara collects herself a second before playing a song that shakes the vines so rapidly Grom explodes inside it. As the remains of Grom slink off, the school cheers on as it’s two newest queens are crowned.

After the fight, though, Skara and Willow walk out to talk about what exactly just happened. Willow admits that she was worried that her biggest fear was, indeed, Skara becoming a bully again. And Skara admits that the reason Grom didn’t change after it started fighting her was because, honestly, that’s Skara’s biggest fear: that she’ll hurt Willow again. Before Skara can offer an apology, though, Willow wraps an arm around Skara, kissing the top of her head, and telling her that she knows Skara well enough to know that, in reality, she won’t ever hurt her again. She’s just grateful that Skara’s ok and safe after their fight. So, Skara and Willow return to the dance, and spend the rest of the night as adorable, lovable Grom Queens.

Random Skarlow scenario/prompt: if willow was in trouble or need saving, what would Skara do and vise versa?

Oh now this I like! A lot!

Every time Willow is in danger, Skara charges in. Doesn’t matter if it’s an army of Slitherbeasts, the Collector, or Boscha. If someone’s threatening her gf, Skara throws herself in front, instrument ready, an attempt at an intimidating look on her face. Sure, Willow’s just stronger in most ways, and can no doubt handle herself in any fight, but Skara’s her girlfriend. She won’t let anyone lay a finger on Willow if she can help it. Granted, this attitude has gotten Skara into a couple scrapes and given her a good couple bruises, but if Willow’s safe at the end, that’s all Skara cares about. Plus, Willow likes to try and patch her up after, and Skara really likes the feeling of being taken care of by her Petals, so.

Willow’s slightly less reckless then Skara. Rather then throwing herself into the fray of a random attack, she’ll start by trying to just get Skara out of the situation. Perhaps by intimidating whatever’s threatening Skara, perhaps by trying to pull Skara aside. Willow just want’s Skara to be safe, and as much as she appreciates Skara’s big gestures, she appreciates her girlfriend being alive too much to let her get hurt. But oh, if someone actually lays a finger on Skara, they’re about to learn the answer to a very serious question: just how much can Willow and her plant’s bench press, and how hard can she bench press someone into the ground?

I like this prompt so much, in fact, it inspired a little story idea in me, a touch angstier then my usual fair.

Skara and Willow walk into Hexside holding hands, as always, and Boscha comes in to insult them, as always. It’s par for the course with Boscha. She snarls something dumb like “Look, two half a witches,” Skara responds with a witty remark like “And now we’re a whole witch, so screw you,” and they go their separate ways. But today Boscha has a new way of getting under their skin; Reminding Skara of the good ol’ days, when they were friends and they’d hang out and bully Willow for funsies. Skara tries to ignore it, but Boscha keeps going, talking about how much it made Skara laugh when they were kids and how much she encouraged it. Willow ‘s clearly more upset then usual, but insists they just walk away. But Skara gets upset and insults Boscha right back. And it’s a deliberate insult, a direct hit to Boscha’s ego, the sort of thing Skara wouldn’t say to anyone else. It’s such a stinging insult in fact, that Boscha’s first reaction is to punch Skara. Not a magical kinda punch, but a very real, hard punch.

So Willow immediately summons a vines to throw Boscha out the nearest window, and rushes to carry Skara to the Healers office in a panic. When they get there, she starts bandaging Skara up while waiting for Viney, and Willow tries to calmly but firmly ask why Skara provoked Boscha so badly, and if she knew Boscha would throw a punch over it. Skara’s silent. After a bit of pleading though, Skara admits that she was angry about being reminded that she bullied Willow. She hates herself for it every day. And she wanted to make Boscha so mad she punched her, because she thought feeling a fraction of the hurt she put Willow through might help. But, she admits, all it did was scare Willow, and now she’s just even more self-loathing.

Willow feels a mixture of frustration, pity, and a desire to protect her girlfriend from herself. So, she takes Skara’s big cheeks in her strong hands and reminds Skara that she loves her and is grateful to be with them. That her past doesn’t define them, that all Willow cares about now is the wonderful girlfriend Skara is. So she doesn’t want Skara acting all beaten down and like she can’t care about her own safety because of it, ok? And now a red faced Skara thanks Willow for caring, and apologizes for everything one last time. 

Willow takes Skara’s hand, promises it’s all ok, and the two of them Skara a kiss as Viney walks in, rolling her eyes despite literally kissing Em right before she entered the room.
