ian and mickey are doing great, their business is running smoothly and they're very successful and happy. once their parole ended they started making time to take road trips out of the state to places theyve always wanted to see. they're currently on a road trip right now in fact!

debbie and franny are great. franny does really well in school and has started playing tee ball and really enjoys it! debbie's business is going well, she's currently single (by choice) but has really reconnected with some of her old welding school friends as well as becoming good friends with calista, whose influence and guidance has really helped ground her. she's matured a lot, but of course she's still good ole debbie, just less messy and a bit more confident in herself.

fiona did that reality dating show down in florida but it was not a great experience. she decided to move to louisville near kev and v. being with her best friends again while still being away from chicago has been really good for her. she has a steady job at a laundromat (that she doesnt own)

lip and tami are doing fine, fred is fine. tami was not pregnant! phew! lip struggled for a little bit but he and brad are back on their feet fixing bikes and its going well.

carl quit being a cop and took over the alibi full time with his former cop former partner guy. the alibi did not really turn into a cop bar after-all, but the cliente has changed a little as they made some changes to the vibe and did some good marketing and its become a pretty solid business.

liam is also great. he's well taken care of living with lip and tami and fred. he also bounces around to his other siblings' apartments pretty regularly just to hang out, sometimes babysits franny, plays video games with mickey, goes jogging with carl or ian (sometimes both!). he's actually on his way to two weeks of summer camp right now. he won a camp scholarship through school to go and he's extremely stoked!

mandy is living somewhere on the north side in an apartment with some friends. she's got a desk job now in the admin office of the chicago make up school. its a solid paying job and she enjoys the atmosphere. she's been thinking of maybe becoming an MUA herself but hasnt decided yet. she hangs out with ian and mickey regularly(sometimes together and sometimes just one of them!)

sandy and debbie have texted a few times but things are still weird for now. sandy doesnt stay in chicago, she likes to bounce around a lot and do her thing. when she is in town she always hangs out with mickey and mandy and she's doing a-ok.

Do they believe in ghosts? Have they ever experienced anything unexplained?

yes. her family is puerto rican catholic and they are incredibly superstitious. she's seen stuff around her abuela's house that makes her believe that ghosts exist. like shadows in places where shadows shouldn't be.

Do they have any unusual collections or items in their home?

she collects rocks! she gets rocks from every state and country that she's ever been to.

What’s their favorite dessert or candy?

florecitas! they are these cookies that are iced.

Do they like corn mazes, hay rides, or apple picking, or any other autumn activities?

yes! she doesn't really get corn mazes, since she's a southwestern girl at heart, but but everything else she totally vibes with.

What’s their favorite way to keep warm (coats, a fireplace, a hug, etc.)?

coats!!! she lives in her sage green bomber jacket, as well as her fancy the north face jacket that logan got her for her first christmas trip to minnesota back in 2015. she LIVES in those jackets. she also enjoys a good cuddle by the fireplace with logan as well.

Have they ever played a spooky game, like Bloody Mary or used a Ouija board?

yes. her and wren played bloody mary when she was younger all the time. it never worked tho.

If they had to become a supernatural creature (a werewolf, a vampire, etc.), what would they pick?

definitely a werewolf. if we go based on the bthalloween episode, she's trying to help kendall keep the secret from jo.

ELISA:

Have they ever dressed up for Halloween? What’s their favorite costume?

nope. brazil is a catholic country, and her avó (grandma) would rather drop dead than do anything associated with monsters lol. once she's in america tho, her halloween costumes are pretty great. her fave one that she's done so far with james is the joker and harley quin.

What makes them nostalgic?

the smell of corn, and when the air gets a slight chill!

What do they think about pranks?

oh she's a pranking queen i fear. give elisa the chance and she's putting whoopee cushions everywhere, covering the palm woods in silly string.

Would they ever visit an allegedly haunted building?

GOD NO. she's a, too catholic in nature for that, and b, too much of a wimp LMAOOOO

Absolute summer haters:

Macy and "Alice", these girls are MELTING AND SUFFERINGGGGG. If they could kill the summer heat, they would. Macy wears sunscreen and "Alice" forgets to wear it and faces the consequences.

Summer enjoyers:

Finley and Mila. Surprisingly, the nerd likes summer because it means swimming in the ocean and getting slushies. Mila enjoys all the summer activities and festivals that come out of it. It's a cheery season for her!

Iris likes ice cream sandwiches, and Finley prefers blue raspberry icees.

Axel is a float guy or a caramel cone guy. Mieke loves cookies and cream!!!

"Alice" likes mint chocolate, and she likes lemon sorbets. However, she would prefer boba tea, tbh. Arden is a red fruit sorbet guy or iced coffee. Asher is into sea salt ice cream and vanilla ice cream mochi (WEEB!!!)

Hippolyta loves LOVES any type of ice cream. She's happy to try new flavors, but the more intense flavor ones aren't much to her liking.

Ophelia and Patron are Gelato enjoyers, he likes the tiramisu or coffee flavor and Ophelia the cherry one. Also magnum ice cream with nuts!

Mila loves orange creamsicles while Macy likes the melon flavor and shaped ice cream! Dogface is more a super cold drink type with lots of ice guy.

Odile likes anything sweet and strawberry-flavored. More if they have small strawberry pieces in it.

Libitina... eh... they could care less. They eat anything tbh.

take two: begging to know everything about macie and her relationship w her parents!!

ahh thank you!! okay,, massive trigger warning for crossing boundaries, abuse and mentions of divorce

macie is the baby of the family, and she was an accident. her mom went behind her dad’s back and basically sabotaged the birth control they were using bc she wanted another kid after the twins and she knew he wasn’t going to agree to it otherwise. so from the start, she’s starting off on the wrong foot (though it’s obviously not her fault)

her mom is like every stereotype of a southern pageant mom you’ve ever seen. mean as hell, willing to throw others under the bus to get what she wants. and unfortunately amber has always been enabled in her shitty behaviour. macie’s memaw (her maternal grandmother) has a similar personality type and it’s just a thing for women in their family to be like that.

meanwhile, her dad comes from a very strong puerto rican background. her abuela is strong headed but she’s one of the kindest and most loving women ever. macie takes a lot after her abuela compared to her mom’s side of the family.

anyway, macie’s older sisters (the twins) decide that when they are in middle school (when macie is around 3) that they no longer want anything to do with pageants, or dance bc of the immense pressure their mom was putting on them for it.

and amber sets her sights on macie instead. she signs her up for dance classes, singing, acting. in every way she can, she’s trying to make her daughter a star. think melissa ziegler from dance moms

even if it’s to macie’s detriment. she ignores when macie is sick and should be resting. ignores it when shes clearly showing signs of stress.

and that’s when the physical abuse begins. macie doesn’t place well in a dance competition? she’s getting hit. macie forgets her song at a singing competition? there’s cigarette burns that need to be covered up on her back.

this goes on for about three years, so from the ages of 4-7, her mom is not only emotionally abusive, she’s now becoming physically abusive as well.

and her sisters start to realize this as well, but they are still teenagers. they’ve just turned 16, they can’t afford to move out and take their sister with them. not yet at least.

and eric is oblivious to this. at least for a while. as the primary breadwinner and a truck driver, he’s out of town for most of the month, and the days that he is around, amber and the girls act like they’re all just one big happy family.

but eventually he finds out. the specifics of this i haven’t figured out yet, but he sees some of the scars on macie’s back and he’s like what the fuck

he confronts amber about it, she plays innocent but he knows his kid. he knows she isn’t able to reach around her back like that. he knows that she’s not playing with cigarettes and lighting them. he knows damn well that macie doesn’t flinch when he’s around.

and that’s the final nail in the coffin for eric. him and amber’s relationship has been disintegrating for years (honestly, macie’s birth was a shitty dollar tree bandaid over an already failing marriage) and he’s done. he doesn’t care how much money it’s going to cost him, he wants a divorce and he wants full custody.

after two hard years of fighting in court, eventually he gets given full custody of all three of his daughters. technically the twins are already 19, so they can choose who they want to live with anyway, but they make the choice to live with him while they’re not at uni. and eric quits his job as a truck driver and goes back to being a mechanic.

there’s a lot of guilt on his part for not being there with the kids, and for letting the abuse go on for so long though macie and her sisters don’t blame him at all.

macie makes the choice at 12 that she wants to move to los angeles to pursue music, and initially eric is extremely against it. partially bc he knows that amber moved to california after the divorce and partially bc he in no way wants his kid wrapped up in the hollywood lifestyle. but macie’s incredibly persuasive, and with her sisters going to university at the university of arizona, he figures the west coast can’t be that bad

so he leaves the shop, and goes after her as a sort of dadager (dad manager. he’s workshopping the title okay?)

and that brings us to our current btr canon!
