I don’t want to open a can of worms, but…

I'll start by saying that I haven't analyzed the character in depth so feel free to correct me in case. My impression is that he's… kinda flat.

*Spoilers*

Damn, he's a Paladin of the BOS who discovers he's a Synth, there was a HUGE writing potential here and instead, his reaction in the moment he realized what he truly was, as valid as it was, seemed lukewarm to me.

Alright, you ran away, great. I come looking for you and I find you. What I expected to see there was someone desperate, broken, in pieces, on his knees from pain and ANGER and instead I see a man who’s cold as a popsicle. Shit man, that was your life, everything you believed in just collapsed on you, you're not even sure of what you are anymore. And instead of finding you teared up I find you there calm and collected, as if you were expecting me, and the first thing you ask me is to kill you. Just like that, emotionless, flat. I get it, again, you're a Synth and a soldier but you just found out you are what you always HATED.

He looked pretty well to me, slightly bothered by the matter. What am I not seeing/understanding of him? I don’t get it.

And after Blind Betrayal? He continues to be a bigoted racist regardless. Where did the writers left his development? WHERE

His VA as well… doesn’t move me at all…
