I think I'm gonna spill some things about Doll Face to get it some traction LOL! Mine will still be my main project but I also have like 50+ other stories and I like to work on multiple at a time. I don't want to get burnout or lose interest in Mine(Which is already kind of happening sadly, just burnout though! I'm still plenty interested in Mine and where I'm going with it and where I can go with it :3) So I'm gonna talk about the story without spoiling it. Kind of like how I did with Mine where I talked about gameplay, story, the mc, and ofc, the love interests! I think I'm also going to take inspo from some of Mine's asks and moves them here(Like give these characters the same prompts at least until I get some asks :3) I probably won't post as much here as I do on Mine in order to avoid that burnout, but I'm gonna be working on some other stories while I wait to get some motivation to write for Mine!

Format

So I'm gonna start with the format. Now unlike Mine how I was uncertain how I wanted to go about it, like whether it would be a game and a playthrough of a fake game, I know I want DF to be playable :) I know I also want people from all over to be able to enjoy my game so I want there to be many language translations! Once again I'd need help with translations since I don't speak any other languages, so it may take a while, but I will make sure that people can enjoy my stories!

Moving on to the mc! I talked a little bit about them in Doll Face's introduction post! So in their world, everyone has magic, it's something you get when you turn 16. There are a few cases with early and late bloomers, but 16 is the average. The mc is AT LEAST 18, and they are going to college. Canonically, the mc is human, but I still find the idea of doll mc very interesting! It's something I didn't even think about when I posted the blank oc template, I was just expecting humans LOL! Although I did have ideas for a doll mc ending soooooo👀 Anyways the mc hasn't gotten their magic abilities yet which has caused them to be bullied for many years and now they are outcasted in college because they are known to not have magic. In their loneliness, the mc turned to crocheting dolls and has made them their friends. The mc has made each and every doll unique with different personalities, stories, and relations to to each other and has inserted themselves into their story(For example, Jondi and you being besties) The mc is a blank slate mc and I want the pronoun option to be inclusive. I think in the demo it may be more basic pronouns(She/he/they), but in the finished game I want you to be able to write want pronouns you want(That's also a thing I want in all of my games though!) Much like Mine's mc, Doll Face's mc is also miserable(Cause of the bullying and loneliness and stuff) They're nice though and they still do have their happy moments, like with their dolls! Also, you live with your mother, you dad isn't talked about, it won't be specified what happened to him that can be up to you! Your mother is kind and sweet and cares for you deeply <333

Endings

Much like with Mine and many of my other games, I want there to be a lot of different endings. Multiple bad and neutral endings maybe multiple good endings this time. I'm still debating if I want a true ending or not. I think I also want Doll Face to take place over the span of a week, it just seems like a good amount, however I might change that and make it a bit longer, at most a month. There can also be different routes you can go down, there may be some enemy routes(mainly Ehren LOL), friends, lovers, and each character will have a yandere route but they don't start off as yanderes and you can have endings where they aren't obsessed at all. Because this game might be longer then Mine, you will be able to date the LI's or you can choose not to and have it be a slow burn for epilogue dlcs! I don't think I'll have any side characters that will be romanceable as of now but that may change! There will be pretty much all the same epilogue routes as in Mine, I won't go into all of them for spoiler endings, I just think some endings would be cool to figure out on your own :) You can choose to cut them out of your life, for multiple reasons. Second you can choose to just be friends with them. Third you can choose to date them and you can choose whether you live with them and also if you have any pets! Fourth route is marriage, you can choose in you live with them, if you have any pets or babies, stuff like that. You'll be able to choose one of these for the characters, for example. Marry Jondi, (you won't be able to date multiple characters and you can't date anyone else if you're married.) Friends with Aiden, Eevi, Charon. Leave: Bao, Bix, Ehren, and Bartholomew. Theres more context with each ending but I'd rather you guys see how the game is gonna go when it comes out!

Character Explanations

Jondi: Jondi was the first doll you ever made. When you made her you made her to be your best friend, and that hasn't changed. You hold the most connection with her. She is your comfort, you can't help but smile every time you see her. She's been through you through some of your darkest times and you couldn't be more thankful. It's very rare to see her without a smile on her face, and with her around you'll rarely see others without a smile on their face. She loves making candies and sweets and is so happy to be able to give them to you, if you like sweets and are able to eat them ofc. Her and Aiden are pretty close, though she may overwhelm him with her bubbly and extroverted personality sometimes! She has a playful rivalry with Eevi, they both often compete on who can make others smile and laugh more.

Aiden: Aiden was the second doll you ever made, back before you made your own fantasy world and gave them complex backstories. You, Aiden and Jondi were created to be your best friends, your safe spaces. He's a lot more quiet and introverted then Jondi. When you wanted peace and tranquility Aiden was the doll you turned to. Your inspiration for Aiden was the crochet flowers you learned to make when you first got into crocheting. You thought it would be really cute to give these flowers an owner! Aiden was the doll that gave you the idea to actually make their world physical(As in you have this huge land made out of cardboard for worldbuilding) He's pretty timid around those he doesn't know well, Jondi often has to do the talking for him.

Bao: Bao is the fourth doll you made. Canonically, you relate to Bao the most! an introverted, insomniac who's gloomy. They are a doll of a few words, unless it's about space. They prefer to spend their time alone, daydreaming and studying stuff about space, however if anyone will take the time to get to know them and listen to them ramble about the things she's passionate about, you'll see a new side to her. She's very blunt and rude by accident, unsure of how to really talk to people, so she just prefers to not talk to them at all. They live AWAY from all of the other dolls.

Bartholomew: Bartholomew was the fifth doll you made. Despite making them, they still have things that seem unknown to you. You still aren't sure if it even likes the things you made it like. They remain a mystery to you and you're excited to solve this mystery, as Bartholomew has always been a fun character for you to think about. However, they were also the start of your more depressing character and stories. It's the prince of the Button Kingdom, although the residents are terrified of it.

Eevi: Eevi is the seventh doll you made. After adding more to the story and watching it get more and more depressing, it stated to affect you mentally, so you made Eevi in order to cheer you up a bit! She was a refreshing character to make, a break from the cruel world you made these dolls reside in and inserted yourself into. Eevi is far from oblivious to the world they resided in, aware that the king is cruel and that the other dolls aren't happy with their living situations, it's why Eevi got into the clown business, to cheer others up and bring light into the world!

Ehren: Ehren was the sixth doll you made, very shortly after Bartholomew. You already had an idea for Ehren when you were making Bartholomew. Ehren pushes away from the royal life as much as they can, they don't care about it, they don't like the attention. They prefer to live their life in the shadows, away from others. Doesn't like Bartholomew, but works for it since they can't escape the royal life completely. The two don't treat each other as siblings, rather as a boss and colleague. The only thing Ehren likes is their knife, Lucy. If they aren't out killing people, they're spacing out.

Bix: Bix was the third doll you made. He was the first doll you made that had a solid backstory and when you decided to add more to previous dolls. You made Bix after witnessing your "friend" get an s/o. You longed to be wanted as well so you made Bix. Although there's a lot more to Bix. Even though you made them to want you, you're insecurities have altered him to be a little different to how he was actually supposed to be. Still, despite being a little different to how he was supposed to be, he's fun to be around no less! Not really someone you can rely on much outside of the bartending business, feelings are not talked about, but distractions are guaranteed!

Charon: Charon was the last doll you made! After inserting yourself into their story, you decided to make a chivalrous knight of justice! Although Charon works for the prince, Charon does not hold the same ideals, Charon cares about the lives of the townsfolk, though he'd rather die then show it. Charon works behind the scenes in order to protect the townsfolk, ofc some(Ehren mostly) of the other knights and guards are still aware of Charon's distain for the prince's ways. Charon shows what gender they feel with his hair, if it's up then Charon prefers to be referred to with he/him pronouns and if Charon's hair is down then she uses she/her pronouns

Caregiver! Wallace and Little! Scott

Wallace, maybe, didn't know the term 'age regresion' but knew that something was up.

Sometimes there were situations, where Scott would act much more childish than usual, and when confronted about it afterwards, he would deny it and act very defensive about it.

For example, the other night Wallace woke up with Scott curled up against his chest, his thumb stuck in his mouth. Wallace gently petted him on the back, and he let out a soft cry, hugging Wallace tighter.

"What? That didn't happen. You're making it up". "It totally did happen, bro, deny it all you want". "You were just drunk and imagining things!"

And Scott leaves the house as fast as possible, face red from embarrasment.

Then it happens again the next night, Scott against his chest, sucking on his thumb.

Wallace got an idea. He ruffled Scott's hair and Scott, predictably, let out a cry.

"Hey, Scott. Scotty. Buddy, we gotta wake up"

"I don't wanna-a!" Wallace chuckled, noticing that he sounds a bit softer and high-pitched than usual.

"I bet you don't, but we can't just stay in bed forever, can we?" Wallace shifts his position into a sitting now, Scott now being on his lap, hanging on his neck, whining softly. "There we go... Hey, pal, can I ask you a question? Can you tell me how old you are? You can show me with your fingers if you're shy".

Scott goes quiet for a moment, and then hesitantly shows Wallace 3 fingers.

"Very good. Thank you, Scott, you are being very helpful right now. I know it takes a lot of courage to admit things. You sure are a brave boy". Scott smiles so very gently. "Now, do you want to watch cartoons while i make us breakfast?"

And general headcanons:

Scott regresses either to 3 to 4 year old toddler or to a baby

They never established a parental title for Wallace, so toddler Scott just calls him by his name. However, baby Scott can't articulate words well, so he just pointed at Wallace one time and went "mama!!" Wallace accepted that.

Scott is a very talkative little, he likes to swing his legs while sitting at the table, telling Wallace everything about his day, all the cool bugs he saw and a level in the videogame he beat.

Wallace tends to take Scott play outside a lot, cause they both need that fresh air!!

Scott's the type of little to chew and suck on EVERYTHING. His thumb, his shirt, blankets, his toys, even crayons and markers. The first little gear Wallace ever bought him was a pacifier and two teethers, cause Scott just put anything in his mouth without thinking twice.

He also bought him a toy truck and an Eevie plush, which were also a hit.

Wallace lo-o-oves nicknames, sticking them in almost every sentence, but he tends to keep the overly sweet ones to himself. His usual go-to's are 'buddy', 'pal', 'kiddo' and 'champ'. He occasionally uses 'sweetheart' when Scott's being extra clingy and vulnerable.

He also calls him a tiny menace, as a cool title😎

Scott still really likes videogames when he's small, but he tends to stick to simplier ones, and sometimes he asks Wallace to help him beat them.

OK SECOND MOVIE TIME!! featuring the rat grinders !

Obviously the rat grinders are the other evil group from the island, kipperlilly is uma and everyone else is her gay little crew (except not buddy dawn, he's one of the hero's sorry king).

so kipperlilly has always hated the bad kids as she did in fantasy high, and she's pissed that they got this opportunity and no one else did so she's just kind of Bitter and Seething.

all of the bad kids (now including adaine and fabian and ayda) are having a great time at the academy except fig, who's feeling guilty abt the whole love potion thing and also kind of misses being evil just a little bit and is having trouble relating to gilear and feels like her whole reason for coming to the academy doesn't matter anymore. so she leaves back to evil island

this one kind of follows the plot of the second movie mostly, everyone realizes she left, ayda, fabian, and adaine make everyone take them to the island to try and bring her back, they fight with the rat grinders and all of that just kind of how they did in the movie. but we Do still have kristen's campaign for student body president instead of eevie making dresses.

the main difference is instead of kipperlilly using the love potion on ayda like uma did in the movie she Does use a spell to make ayda announce her student president because i know aguefort would still have the student president have a weirdly large amount of power at the school.

so kipperlilly is like "Bring down the island barrier" but fig breaks the spell and reveals that kristen actually won the vote. kipperlilly teleports away and it is a Happily Ever After. Until the third movie.

I thought Ditto!Desmond would be better off as a Ditto masquerading as a trainer so here’s Ratonhnhaké:ton getting Desmond as a different Pokemon instead.

“The village is in trouble!” Ratonhnhaké:ton shouted and began to ran. The other children ran as well, following Ratonhnhaké:ton.

They all remember their parents’ words…

I was debating if he should have a Braviary!Desmond but an eagle motif Pokemon feels like it should be all of his ancestors’ Pokemon or, being my bias, Altaïr’s Pokemon.

Then I thought of making Desmond one of my favorite Pokemon, Froslass, and idea was Ratonhnhaké:ton would try to cross a mountain during a severe snowstorm and loses his consciousness on the way, the last thing he sees being a Froslass who brings him to an abandoned cabin deep into the forest but then I remember @saberamane suggesting Absol to be part of Desmond’s Pokemon team and I couldn’t resist XD

Beta-ing for me is a nightmare situation where I beg you to carefully read thirty pages of introspection and then i cry until you're nice to me about it

But yes I have my people trust my life with and will be with for life as long as they're willing to read for me (apps, carol, em who left social media and i literally tracked down by her professional post-degree website for her expertise). i don't change it up if i can help it -- the only reason i only used one beta for shikatema month is because all the above three were so busy and i had just yelled at them for like three months for go easy and felt bad bombarding them with last minute smut. but as soon as i have a legit story im wanting to write again, you know appy will be my first email.

i met them all by chance over years just discussing shikatema and my stories and valuing their insight. usually im just chatting with someone at the right time and i'm totally into their vibe and their opinions and they're being super helpful in letting me workshop my ideas and so i ask them for help too (like weirdcreepies for st month). and then next time i have a story i'll ask them for help too.

there are so many amazing people who have helped over the years and who i love (the best lines in aibg come from chau, eevie pushed me to finish go easy, steph tweaks all my characterization) but who i felt like i pressured too much last time or they're too busy atm or they didn't write me back because im an annoying writer (see above (re: crying)), but i will always check in in the future and hope they're free!

Gosh, what else to talk about. Okay so Artair is trans! He leans somewhere in a wibbly masculine and nonbinary zone. He figured it out when he was seven or so, when his 'imaginary' friend Chelsea said something. Her, her brother Jerome, and Artair went to the lake in the park to swim and maybe catch frogs.

Jerome commented on not needing a top piece to his swimsuit because he was a boy, and Artair lamented that he wished he was one as well. Chelsea just kind of said 'well why not be one then?' and that was like-- turning the world on it's head for Artair. until then he didn't know that was even a possibility. Honestly he probably thought everyone who was a girl felt that way, any time he had the wish pop up in his brain, so her saying something was very eye-opening lol.

He did the research he could at the time, and brought it to his uncle, who did his best to support him and did his own research to try and understand it better. It took a while for them to make much traction due to the meager offerings Cadence had for anything in that vein, including from a medical standpoint. So they had to talk to doctors and psychs in other towns, some of which were difficult to work with or reluctant due to his age.

They persevered though! and Artair is much happier for it. He chose the name Artair because it was the less anglicized version of Arthur, and his family all had names somewhat dealing with Arthurian legend, so he wanted to keep that motif. He actually pronounced it wrong for a long time, and when he realized the right way to say it, it was already kinda stuck. So he goes by both Ar-taire, and Art-er. legally, he had his name and pronouns changed, and now in town Artair attends a group of several trans folk who all live in Cadence, so they can commiserate with someone who Gets It, or just in general hang out and have a nice time. It's how he met Axel and reconnected with Jace after high-school! They both enjoy it greatly, especially since the two also have a vested interest in supernatural as well, and Axel isn't shy to admit he works with less natural methods in the hopes of helping others.

Everyone gets magic when they are 16, not you though. Because of that you have been outcasted by society. Yearning for friends, you make them through dolls. However, it isn't enough for you. You turn to other ways in order to make them come alive. At first it doesn't work but when you wake up all of them are alive!

Note: years have passed since you were supposed to get magic and when you first made the dolls, you're at LEAST 18 now

If I make "Doll Face" content, can I tag you in it?- Yup! I would LOVE to be tagged in any fan content! It makes me so happy and overjoyed to see people making stuff for Doll Face. I'm happy that others are interested in my stories and characters.

Characters

Jondi: Jondi is the first doll you ever made. She's a joyful, loyal and sincere doll. She cares a lot about you and her other doll friends. Her hobby is making her friends smile and laugh.

Aiden: The second doll you made. He's a sweet and gentle plant lover. It's rare to see him without his dearest plant. Often checks up on you. You're one of the people he can speak to without getting super nervous.

Bao: The timid astrologist. Quiet and shy in front of others, talkative in front of the stars. Want to get them to speak, ask about anything space related.

Bartholomew: A mystery. They're quiet and don't talk a lot and the others are kind of scared of them. Ehren's older brother.

Eevi: A clown! They LOOVE making people laugh. Her and Jondi have a playful rivalry. Gets upset when it doesn't make people laugh but it will NEVER give up.

Ehren: An assassin. They aren't bad at their job but at first glance you would think they are. They space out a lot and they're kind of clumsy. Bartholomew's younger sibling.

Bix: A total flirt. They turn everything they can into an innuendo. Gets on everyone's nerves and enjoys it.

Charon: The headstrong knight. Comes across as rude but is very protective. He means the best for you and his friends.

samjang w sashimi is literally on top + I love jjangmyeon + any naengmyeon is great (and I say that while I choke on it all the time even though I could cut it) + the chicken..literally omg + I’ve learned from when I was very little that dried squid was the best with alcohol because of my grandpa, it was his favorite snack time and little me could only eat the squid obviously lol

When I went there, I was a little disappointed because some of the places I went to, especially with seafood, were around the same prices as US restaurant prices… considering I paid around a thousand to two thousand to go there….

Uyu, I highly recommend to drink the Heineken beer with dried squid and hoisin sauce mixed with sriracha as the dipping sauce!

Yes dried squid is the best with alcohol!! Now back In my country I don't have it anymore, I really miss it :(

I think I had the beer with dried squid and sriracha sauce once! it was with my friend, we ordered wine, delicious and spicy!
