Festixia Rat AU is unfortunately not an AU where those three (Felix, Festus, and my oc Artemisia) are rats. Idk if you thought that, but I feel the need to clarify that.

It does contain Felix Ravinstill and his 36 pet rats. A different man altogether than Felix Ravinstill without his 36 pet rats.

It's one of the newer fics, and it doesn't have any real direction other than try and write a happy Festixia ending that maybe doesn't imply that the corrupt and unequal system continues longer because of that.

It begins with Felix telling Artemisia at age 8 or 9 that he doesn't (at the moment) like her romantically after she declares her intention to marry him (see Ch. 1 of Close Your Eyes). Afraid that he's upset his friend, however, he pulls out Aesop the Rat and allows her to take him home. <- This is what leads to the inciting incident of the story (learning what the hell is going on at the Click house) and also all I've got so far. I imagine the power of rats does a lot to help the throuple out though, beyond better communication skills.

Let's start off strong shall we?

Her name is based on the female painter Artemisia Gentileschi but is often shortened down to Mia or Arty.

She has her mother's telekinesis but doesn't seem to have the ability to read or meddle with other people's minds.

Leo was all set for being a father seeing as though he took care of his brothers, though the daughter part threw him through a loop. April, however, mostly struggled for the first two years seeing as though she never had siblings and didn't grow up with her mutant powers fully unlocked.

Ok what's the height difference between Misa and Leo

Ooh good question —

@littlemissartemisia might need to correct some assumptions I make based on googling the average height of certain age groups, but here we go:

Misa has three age designs (all of which I’ve drawn at different times), and thus has three different heights: tot, teen, and twenty-something.

UIFY Leon has two heights currently: tot and teen.

Tot Misa: 2 or 3 ft tall

Teen Misa: 4-5ft and change

Twenty-sumthin Misa: Possibly a little over 5ft

Lil’ Leon: 3ft 6in

Teen Leon: 5ft 8in

Lil’ Leon is a foot (plus change) taller than Little Artemisia.

Normal Leon with Little Artemisia would have anywhere between 2-3ft of air space between them lol. But Leon with the teen version of Misa would have either a full foot difference or he’d be just around a head taller than her.

Teen Leon pitted against Misa (because he would absolutely see their height as a contest) would be somewhere around a tie, depending on what @littlemissartemisia says. Lil’ Leon against her would be around the same as Little Artemisia against teen Leon, just about 2ft apart in height.

Did the Knights/that whole era date anyone before/after getting married? I'm most curious about Bartemius Sr, Avery Sr, Eileen, either Lupin, and both Sinistras!! If you don't want to answer, don't feel like you have to!!

Same with Rosekiller and Wolfstar but you talk about them more often. :3

Tiberius Nott Senior definitely got around with a few girls before settling down with his wife Gladys.

Bruce Senior more so dated a lot after he was married, he fathered a half-blood child who later end up in Hufflepuff but he did not stick around for the mum. The only one he actually kept around and seemed to properly care for in a way he didn’t for others was Hazel (a friend of Olive Hornby)

Bartemius Senior had a pathetic crush on his wife since like fourth year but refused to do anything about it because he was friends with Artemisia’s brother but also I just think he wasn’t that popular with girls cause he was a bit of a dickhead? Not in like an active dickhead kind of way but more like he was pretty boring and would prioritise his studies and it was clear he thought he was just a liiiittle bit better than everyone else.

Edmund Senior unsuccessfully lied about being sort of boyfriend/girlfriend with the daughter of a family friend who was a few years older than him when he was in sixth year and after that he might have approached a few women but none with much success. Esther was definitely his first real anything which is why everyone considers it so unbelievable.

Eileen had a few things going on, though a lot of it was also just rumour based because she was friends with a good handful of boys

Hope I’m not entirely sure of but I’m leaning towards no

Lyall had a few girlfriends, one or two that might have leaned forwards more serious

Altair (Aurora’s dad) had a thing going on with Salma before she married Tariq (Aurora’s uncle and Altair’s older brother). Only Salma and Altair know about this tho and he didn’t end up with someone new before being matched with Nazareth who I don’t think was with anyone prior

When you say both Sinistra’s idk if you’re referring to Altair and Tariq or Altair and Nazareth but for good measure we’ll do Tariq as well. I think Tariq was a guy that a good amount of people had a hallway crush on, he was quidditch captain as well and a good looking lad, but I don’t think he entertained it a whole lot more than maybe a few flirty chats here and there but I’m not too sure tbh

As for rosekiller and wolfstar I can’t see Evan and Barty with anyone else unless it’s like bartylus for a fic setup but even then I prefer them to just be all in insane about each other. Sirius definitely had a bajillion girlfriends before Remus and I think Remus might have had one girlfriend who he tried to get it on with once before being like nope it’s not for me

What are The relationships between the turtles and their sisters who’s the favorites?

Initially, Venus does not trust the boys, and the rest of her sisters follow, because Vee believes they're working for Draxum (she dislikes him.) But Arte gets a good feeling about them and after a few encounters, they slowly start getting along.

Venus has pretty okay relationships with each of the boys, and she tries not to play favorites, but she does favor Raph a lot. They spar a lot and Venus is the only turtle who can air-jail and carry him (he gets carried yay!)

Jennika's relationships with the boys are very solid and well maintained, and she joking calls everyone her favorite because they're all equally awesome. In reality, she spends the most time with Leo because they'll read and write fanfic until 4am and both enjoy musicals

Artemisia’s a bit of a mixed bag depending on who you're talking to, but she spends pretty equal amounts of time with all her siblings. They cannot pick a favorite sibling because it both feels funny and would make her feel bad. Her supposed "favorite" switches on an hourly basis depending on who's asking.

Lita is one of the family babies, but she doesn't mind it nearly as much. She always likes listening to her siblings and will passively spend time with everyone, but very clearly favors Mikey and Donnie’s company among the boys.

Thank you so much, this is the best thing ever! Frida would never tell, but she adores that turtle plush. She’s never really had a plushie before, and this is definitely the perfect time (what with the stress of being in a new place starting to set in). Also, sorry she’s so weird, but she doesn’t have any experience with children so… yeah hahaha

I do think this is so plausible, because every time I think about how Felix could turn on the Capitol it involves him being forced to see the unfairness of his own privilege.

I do struggle with how to get him their though... (me and the new Artemisia AU I've been playing around with in my head)

In this scenario, perhaps, he is also being quarantined near Clemensia, or even if he never sees her, he begins noting how people are condemning Dill for getting him sick but they'd never do the same thing about a Capitol student another Capitol student sick (well, actually, people might. Depends on the student's prestige and wealth, I assume)

We all know I have a Ravinstill problem, so I'm going to cut my musings off. Do you have any more thoughts on that scenario?

ah, my delight at getting to elaborate on my nonsense thoughts!

i think that he’s blinded to the major issues of injustice within panem. he’s so used to those big, obvious things that it never even occurs to him to question them. it isn’t until he’s confronted with this smaller issue that it starts to click in his brain and he begins questioning things.

once he’s confronted with this smaller, more personal issue then he’s forced to start seeing the inequalities in treated for the district kids vs the capitol kids.

he sees himself get fussed over and cured nearly instantly by the capitol doctors while dill is suffering in a cage in extreme temperatures and left to rot essentially. and it just starts to become something he can’t reconcile in his mind- are his family really the good guys if children are dying from diseases they could easily cure? if people are starving while they have plenty? if these kids are fighting for their lives in a death match while his peers place bets and cheer them on?

and then it just snowballs until he can’t control his rebellious thoughts. i don’t really know what he could do from there once he had these thoughts. realistically, probably nothing would occur but it’s been fun thinking of little au possibilities for what could happen.

i’ll put those little ideas under the cut:

i like the idea of felix slowly starting to spread information to people he can trust. his great uncle is the president so you know he has to know some decent information. he shares it with the likes of lysistrata or clemensia or even hilarius (a way to tie felix’s narrative until plutarch and the full rebellion we see maybe?).

it’s dark, but i also like the idea of felix teaming up with clemensia and realizing something needs to be done about coriolanus because he and his ideas are making things worse. they take care of him by poisoning or something.

i’ll also share my silly, completely self-serving idea that i like to think about— felix teams up with festus and persephone and information gets passed on that way. felix tells them all the information and persephone shares it with like mags and later finnick and that’s how they sit the rebellion.

i really like your idea of him getting quarantined near clemensia- i think that could be a great start to them teaming up against coriolanus together lol
