Playing the KOREAN version of Urbz because I wanted to compare every Urb model to the Japanese version, but unfortunately and frustratingly the editable NPC cheat is not working with the Japanese version! So I figured the Korean version likely uses the same Japanese models. It appears to use the same Japanese opening and the same style for the player's urb / character.

BUT. The Korean version does NOT use the Japanese models, they use the original ones. Except, they're still different.

It's more subtle but they removed the 5 'o'clock shadow & softened his face! honestly it's kinda funny 'cos even though this is a console game, it looks just like a skinblend CC somebody would make for TS4! xD

because like that's what they often do, they soften up the default skin!

im aware that this is just like,,,the nature of food. but it’s kind of galling when something takes 5+ hours to make and the family member who had the least to do with its creation eats seventy five percent of it in fifteen minutes

#this is about my father eating like 35/50 of the pot stickers my sister spent all day cooking (there are four people in our family)#but it’s also about my father eating approximately the same proportion of the peirogis we make on Christmas Eve #(we being my mother sister and i while my father plays video games)#and also how my mother made him dinner and made me a separate thing i like very much the other night and he ate both #pretty much every day i eat five potato chips for breakfast and then like fifteen more for dinner lol #that’s fine no need to get fat over the summer #im buying a bathing suit from an asian company so i want it to fit my large American body lol #i wouldn’t want to have sons for many reasons but one being that men eat too much and it’s gross #And no men you don’t really need to eat that much sorry you’re not Michael Phelps and being male doesn’t mean you automatically need 4x #more calories than the average woman. It’s like maybe a little more than 2x + whatever’s needed when exercise is factored in #(Like 1200-1400 vs 2500-2800 i think)#If I had a husband and more than one male child I would need to make an honestly insane amount of food and then still not get to eat anythi #because it doesn’t matter how much you make. my mom makes a lot of food. #this is a really interesting look at what kind of burden the expectations for women are #especially in the experience of an asian american woman #bc as the writer says trying to live up to the standards u.s. society puts on women is a job in and of itself #women are encouraged if not expected to shell out hundreds of dollars on creams and serums and wraps that might not even work #all for the sake of trying to maintain the illusion that we're not aging--or if we are; we're doing it gracefully and flawlessly #and not like...y'know actual human beings who get age spots and laugh lines and wrinkles #and we're constantly caught in THE most ridiculous catch-22:#if you don't try you're ''letting yourself go''#but if you try ''too hard'' you're high-maintenance or vain #and we can't just say fuck it because it even impacts our ability to get hired #there was a study recently where several male execs said they probably wouldn't hire a female candidate who wasn't wearing makeup #bc it meant 'she wouldn't put in the effort'#anyway society is a curse enjoy your thursday evening #i gotta go back to my blorbos or i'll work myself into a rage spiral
