A Friday show in Seoul, South Korea (10 February 2023) in Asia Tour 2022-2023 deserves some fun memories.

But yes, the bright red lipstick for the queens is... not exactly new, but has certainly become more pronounced since the revival. Especially for the Broadway productions, where I often feel it almost clashes. Personally I don't see the need for the girls to have more pronounced lipstick than the boys—and it's especially glaring with, e.g., Coricopat and Tantomile, whose makeup plots are otherwise identical, but ah well. Apparently Jellicle cats, in addition to having an unusually high number of male calicos, are sexually dimorphic when it comes to lip colour. Mysterious are the ways of Jellicle.

Can I just say I love when the Cats makeup uses really dark colored lipstick? It always looks so good and I think it should be used more.

'Jellicle Songs', 2022 Asia tour

Press day before the 2022 opening night (9 February 2022), so everyone's first cast. Most noticeable Tyler Lotzof as Victoria, Ashlee Hammerin as Demeter, Amy Everett as Jemima, Dominique Hamilton as Rumpelteazer, and Anina Pletscher as Electra.

(If you look closely you'll notice we're missing a chorus Tugger - because, this being a press event, they only performed 'Jellicle Songs' and 'the Rum Tum Tugger', and Will Richardson was already in full Tugger gear, ready to burst in and interrupt!)

24 February 2022, and Caitlin New - swing in the 2022 Asia tour for the female roles that require both singing and movement - had her Bomba debut for this leg of the tour!

In the 2020–21 leg, she covered Bomba many times, as well as Cassandra, both psychic twins, Jennyanydots, and Grizabella. This time around she's covering all those roles except Cassandra - although I'm sure she could do it at a pinch! Still, this was her first time onstage this year.
