it became too much, watch her waste away, so he paid someone to care for her and he went back to the army. scream at boys with a shine in their eyes, watch it dim like his did; like hers did, as well. everything was normal; he'd spend the day breaking down boys' souls, then spend the evening drinking until he could stand the thoughts of his secret desires. maybe go out and satisfy those desires, if he felt like it.

then suddenly the world end to hell. he made his way home, to her, mostly on foot, seeing the weirdest things, and she'd gotten this new-found will to live in her. he loved to see it, and to join her in it, and they made their way to their families. hers was far gone, house empty except for the undead. he hold her once again, and it became crystal clear they weren't partners in the same way anymore. they were partners, and maybe soulmates, but not husband and wife.

they make their way to his childhood house, to find mom dead in her bed. his sister-in-law and nephew gone as well, he gets a lump in his throat. louise's outside, waiting for him to shout if he needs back-up, as he opens the office door. his brother's there, curled up in a sobbing ball, reaching out to him for help. he swallows the lump, and closes the door. they're gone too, he tells louise, and they go on their way, until they come across a group.

Zelda "Ziggy" Adira Abrams didn’t have a real home until she was 12 years old. Her mother Miriam had her at just 16 years old, and the two lived in and out of homeless shelters, run-down apartments, and friends’ places throughout her childhood. Up until they moved into an actual home, she had never known anything other than moving around, being a nomad, herself, and her young mother.  

Ziggy, named after Zelda Fitzgerald but nicknamed after the infamous David Bowie persona, was resigned to raising herself as well as her mother. She had to grow up and be an adult from a young age, from circling job ads in newspapers and making sure they made it to the shelter on time to get a room, or at least to eat. There was never any real room to be a child.

It was Ziggy and her mother alone for a good while, until when she was five years old. A five-year-old Ziggy had no idea why her mother’s body was changing, she just knew that sometime later they were inside a hospital, there was a baby in her arms,  and then suddenly, there wasn’t.  They walked out of the hospital, just her and her mother, alone again. Ziggy would learn many, many, many years later, that her mother gave her little sister up for adoption.

Ziggy learning to read and loving to read is credited to her mother in many ways, the first being that her mother would take her to the library during the day to keep warm and have something to do, and Ziggy needed an escape from everything. It started with princesses in high towers being rescued by their prince and turned into sometimes cheesy, but often thrilling, romance novels. Ziggy fell in love with love.

When they finally got a real home, it was only because her grandmother passed away, leaving the three-bedroom home to her only daughter, Ziggy, and her mother Miriam moved right in.

It was all rather the same Ziggy needed to raise both herself and her mother, except this time her mother had landed herself a job, a waitress at a diner at night. During the day, Ziggy would go to school, and a night her mother would head off to work, leaving the young girl alone to her own devices.

But ultimately, Miriam Abrams wasn’t the mother a young girl needed. She didn’t get the puberty talk, she wasn’t taught how to do her hair or makeup, these were all things she had to pick up from magazines. She learned to cook enough to feed herself, but she was barely allotted a childhood, having to be the adult her mother wasn’t. No pretty dresses or elaborate bat mitzvahs paid for by her mother's boyfriend could make up for it.

Ziggy left the first moment she could. With a high school diploma, 1,000$ to her name, and a bus ticket, she was off to California, as far away from her mother as she could possibly get.

Ziggy slept on couches again and worked odd jobs until she found something more permanent as a waitress,  paying 30 dollars a night to sleep in a bedroom that had a curfew of 10:00 pm. She didn’t go to college. She had no direction whatsoever. She just wanted to experience life.

So experience she did, she lived in California, Seattle, and New York, and finally, she landed herself in Colorado, just her, her beat-up little jeep wrangler, her books, and a few garbage bags filled with clothes.

That was five years ago now, and Ziggy has been the happiest, and the most stable she's ever been. She's got a dream job as a barista at the Green Thumb, reading, and writing romance novels in her free time. It's her dream to be published, to walk into a library and see her name amongst her favorites, but for now, just writing them is enough. She lives in Artist's Alley Apartments in RINo and has an orange Maine Coon cat named Papaya. She still has no idea what she's doing, but she's happy and having fun trying to figure it out. She sends her mother money once a month.

Imagine what music they'd have? What food? Would it be outside? What kind of theme, if any, would they have?

Jazz and jewish folk music. The ceremony would be outside in the garden, while the dinner reception, with Ashkenazi jewish food from Poland, Russia and Ukraine and the dancing party would be inside the house of their friend, Ray. The theme would be woodlands and mycology. 

Who would they invite? 

Ray (who is Egon's best man and provider of the house where the wedding is celebrated), Winston, Peter, Dana, Egon's mother, brother, sister-in-law and baby nephew, Janine's parents, sister, grandmother and maternal uncles and cousins. 

What season is it? Day or night? What colors do people wear?

Autumn, evening till night, starting at 15:00 pm. While the decoration is green and brown, the guests are left free to choose the colors of their clothes.

The ceremony follows traditional jewish marriage rituals, along with including a justice of peace to assist the civil legalization and documentation of the wedding.

They do write their own vows, taking some inspiration from literature. Janine's family rabbi and a paid justice of peace marries her and Egon.

COOPER ANDREWS // have you seen MYLES COHEN around the crash site? we’re trying to make sure they’re still alive after the crash! according to the manifesto HE is a 40 year old TRANS MAN. i hear they’re known being a/an ER DOCTOR. MY is also known to be RESOURCEFUL yet also ABSENT MINDED at times. we have a couple questions for MY when we find HIM, we heard something about a secret they might have? such as HE COLLECTS POKEMON CARDS! Myles “My” Vasa Cohen was born in Huston, Texas to Nuanua Vaai and Skylar Cohen a pilot and doula respectively. He has two siblings, a brother and a sister who he grew up with. Their father was often away for work but when he was back he’d always bring them gifts and sweets from the places he’d been. 

At age around 7 he was diagnosed with Dyslexia and Asperger’s, which a lot of his teachers took to mean he would not excel at school. They couldn’t be more wrong, a good student, Myles’ grades were steadily good and very quickly he knew he wanted to be a doctor when he grew up. He came out as trans when he was 15, then as gay when he was 18, and to his relief both of his parents were nothing but supportive.

Apart from his future goals of being a doctor, Myles had and still has a keen interest in Norse Mythology and Pokemon, though he often doesn’t admit it he has a large collection of the cards, some of which he brought with him on the ill-fated flight to Australia. He continued to succeed in school and once he did pre-med he attended the UCSF School of Medicine, where after a few dead-end relationships he met his partner.

The two settled down in a townhouse in San Francisco with their 3 rescue cats (“his babies”): Donnie, Joey and Sookie. Myles took up a job at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital’s ER department, where, though incredibly stressful due to the struggles of having to deal with the long hours, severe injuries and deaths he witnessed on a near daily basis My loves his job. While not officially married, Myles will usually refer to his partner as his husband.

My and his husband decided to go on holiday to Australia for a few weeks in order to de-stress a bit and relax, leaving the care of their “babies” to Chase’s sister.

Unfortunately for them, the trip would be anything but relaxing…
