Christopher Ruocchio's Ashes of Man was devastating, even though I had a feeling of what was coming I wasn't prepared.

I finished reading it a while ago, read other books and now I've picked up The Dregs of Empire: A Tale of the Sun Eater, which takes place right after the events in Ashes of Man. So I'm reminded again of what happened at that point in the story and despite being very invested in Lorian Aristedes, I can't wait to get back to the main story.

Time runs down, and leaves no man unscarred... leastways until the world is changed, and its god returns with new light.

Fellow Sun Eater reader! Welcome aboard, it's a grand old time. I've been following the series for three years now, and it's really starting to take off! The last year especially there's been some more attention.

It's such a good series! Personally I really like the narration style, Ruocchio knows what he's doing with prose.

But yeah, there's not really anything about it on Tumblr, though hopefully that will change!

I'm reading Kingdoms of Death rn and really enjoying it so far (about 200 pages in) even though I have a feeling something HORRIBLE is about to happen

There are literally NO POSTS about this series. I find the booktube community likes fantasy more than scifi so it's hard to find people to rec that genre. I saw Smitty1423 (a booktuber I trust) recommend it and hopped on board.

It's such a good series and I LOVE "The Chosen One" trope and if it's done well It's super satisfying. Hadrian is dat boi.
