I finished Banana Fish for the first time small while ago. It completely broke me, someone who's normally very emotionally detached. Couple days from that, I decided to rewatch it. It was way more painful, cried nearly the whole time. It became my favorite anime. Here is my study drawing of dear Ash.

I relied too much on reference the first time and didn’t like it. So I immediately redrew it in a more stylized way that looks like something I’d actually draw. Been a minute since I actually made this…
