I was watching tik tok and some dude started talking about fanfics that become books and he said the usual thing, Larry fanfics and BTS fanfics and that person said Banana Fish (well the guy said it was a douijinshi) AND I WAS LIKE... EXCUSE ME? Since when did Banana Fish start as a douijinshi? But otherwise I was thinking like: Well maybe it was a My Own Private Idaho doujinshi because there are a lot of official Banana Fish illustrations that depict Ash and Eiji as Keanu and River's characters [sorry don't know the character names i din't watch the movie] but the person in the video said "It was a Karate Kid douijinshi" AND I JUST FREAKED A LIKE WHAT?? SINCE??? UH??? WHEN???

I mean, I've been in the Banana Fish fandom (sadly 💀) since the anime started and I read the manga, so I guess I would know that this thing started as a doujinshi of the fucking DANIEL LARUSO and the blond dude from COBRA KAI.

Does anyone know anything about this??? Because it was literally the only thing I was thinking about since I saw this video.

#4: Fathom

Sitting at a wooden desk that has several piles of paper, Oz desperately searched for the correct paper feverishly. Not wanting to be disorganised, she pulls up a chair, eyes trained on the top of each page, hoping to find the words “The plan of one Alex” glaring back up at her. 

Deep down, she knows that such a paper would not be laying around. Even if she is in a magical library that claims to have everybody’s story written out, it would not bring her a step closer to fathom the reason for Alex’s betrayal. 

She still remembers the scene like it was yesterday. 

Alex has always cut a striking figure and this time, it was no different. The group has just defeated Vishq the Raven and was resting in a room when Alex stood up to go over to the group’s camp supplies. 

Nobody batted an eye. After all, they were working off the additional adrenaline of a good fight and were involved in each other’s proximity rather than something happening a distance away. 

“Ksssh”, a sound of wood scratching a surface caught their attention and taught them how much they should have been worried. 

Before anyone could react, Alex casually dropped the lit match and entire match box onto their camp supplies. Given that the said supplies had flammable items, the entire thing burst into flames in less than a minute. 

It happened so unexpectedly that nobody could react and could only blink, looking as the inferno ate their entire stash of supplies. After it was reduced to ashes, Gil, their warrior, took the first step and ran over. 

Ignoring Alex, they slid on their greaves and came to a stop beside the pile and started carding through it, looking for anything that might survive the blaze. As their expression became more crestfallen, the rest started stirring. They all started racing to the spot. 

Only to hear gasps as Linx took the opportunity to deck Alex with their right hand. 

“Why did you do that?”
