Not my usual content, but here are a few of my favorite pictures from my recent trip to the Grand Canyon (part of the reason I haven't really posted in a while).
I don't have a super fancy camera, but I'm pretty happy with how a lot of my shots turned out, especially after a bit of editing, so I figured I'd share a few.
...and it's probably a good thing I didn't bring a high-end camera, because the one I did take is now full of sand. Lol.
Anyway, click for higher res, etc., etc.

Ash & Blossom Hart, Day 86, Part 11
Does Blossom know a swarm of teens are about to depend on that food?
Blossom: There's more chilli on the counter, girls - help yourselves.
Meredith: Thanks, Auntie Blossom.
Hmm, they might need some more food if they're going to feed those boys too.
Gulliver: Do we have any space for flowers in the garden?
Blossom: Hmm, maybe out the front of the house?
Devon wishes his sister's friends weren't his cousins, too young for him or already in relationships.
Haddie: Hi Adie! I wanted to ask you to come and play but Mama says it's too late and maybe tomorrow.
Haddie's not at all intimidated by all these teens!
Haddie: I'll play dancy music and you can all dance, okay?
Ember: If you can clear up the chili dishes, I'll get out the ice cream!
Freddy: Ooh, ice cream!
(he walked off to make the beds instead)
Ember brought the whole crowd home with her afterwards and they swarmed around, eating all the food, as teens do.

Started going through my Southeast Arizona Birding Festival photos this past weekend. I'll be posting all my keepers up on Flickr. The first batch I've uploaded is from before the festival even began!
This photo in particular is from our first visit to the Ash Canyon Bird Sanctuary. Filled with feeders, dozens of hummingbirds come by to drink up and they don't mind posing for pictures!

Today at Ash Canyon. We're not just for birds!
Western diamondback rattlesnake (Crotalus atrox), at Ash Canyon Bird Sanctuary, Cochise County, Arizona.
He was found dozing at the front door of the caretaker's house, and gently relocated to a less public spot on the sanctuary grounds.
