While waiting for the big re-release I was thinking I could remodel Danny's latest outfit from the fic. I oriented myself on the other superhero outfits especially on Kon's outfit ( while I don't have the fic at hand at the moment my notes I made for the last model states: " Kon would wear that.")

A full-body suit with a high collar jacket over it, half gloves, high combat boots and and an utility belt with a sidepouch. His weapon is his lighting scythe he summoned in one of his recent fights.

So yes I'm going to go to the filming location for S5E9 The Ascent, Whitney Portal, in November (weather permitting) as part of a big trip I'm making to the US!!! This is the penultimate stop on a big solo trip going through Utah, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, and Northern California.

I always thought the filming location looked so amazing in the episode and then I found out that it's close to Alabama Hills and Lone Pine California which is the shooting location for the Voyager 2-parter Basics (and a few of the ST movies) and I knew I had to take a detour. It's a slightly insane thing to do because it's a multi hour detour from a sensible route from my previous stop going back to Vegas before heading home but I'm literally SO excited. If anyone has been to Lone Pine or Whitney Portal before and has any tips, let me know!

I didn't intend for my WiP to include an exploration of the specific type of spiritual baggage that comes from making the decision to leave the corrupt and evil Church long before you ever stop believing in God.

But here I am. Writing a queer wizard whose goal is to become immortal so he can escape the judgment of a god he's terrified of but insists he doesn't believe in.

Lex Luthor has a new sickly son. Most people think this is his new way to gain publicity or maybe he might be turning over a new leaf by adopting. But to those in the know it is obvious that this new son is a Superman clone.

Danny is a Superman clone, which would be nice if half his physiology wasn't made out of concentrated kryptonite. At least all it's doing is weakening him. Too bad everyone else constantly seems to think he's actively dying.

i think a lot of the potential pairings on ds9 would have the gossip circles extremely engaged but you know what the funniest thing would be. rom/sisko. people would be losing their minds on that station. jake and nog would be in denial. dax would never let sisko live it down. quark would attempt to flee the quadrant
