I love writing Legend! Both my own and LU. And he's not really a Link but I'm really enjoying writing Ravio lately too.

Linkship crossover of choice: I think Heroes Spirit Eras would make a fun pairing with gruff cowboy ASAU Twilight!

Queer into oblivion: All of them. Every single one. This sounds like a dodge but it's not meant as one; every single member of my own cast is queer in some way and I write the LU gang the same. It's a big part of the draw of both Legend and Sky, though; I love Sky as poly and pan and Legend as bi and GNC or some flavor of genderqueer. LU Hyrule gets the ace feels and I love writing Wild as sex-positive aro. I could go on. Anyway. Show me a Links Meet cast with queer characters and you'll have my attention.

Anon I assure u I thought about that too, like,,,, they weren't together at the end of albw, but I think Ravio leaving (or just staying in Lorule while Legend and Fable went back home) kind of broke Legend's heart a little. I'll have to think about how that actually went down, bc counterpart was after albw iirc

Will you tell us more about Marin? Does she ever get homesick for a place that doesn’t exist? Does she ever question reality and wonder if anything is even real? Does she grieve? I rarely see anyone discuss the impact of learning your entire world and everyone you love nothing more than a dream. Is Link able to help or does he doubt reality too?

Being less sad how did she adjust to Hyrule? It’s a pretty drastic change from her island even without the whole dream thing. From the climate to the customs to simply the size of the population. Does she have an accent?

What does she think of her partners? Will you tell us about the individual relationships has she built with them?

I think she does get homesick. What Mizu and I decided, and what Nadea says in E4E, is she was trapped in the dream with Legend but almost everything in the dream the Wind Fish had seen before in some way. That said tho, the inhabitants of the island were pretty much fabricated to placate her and sell the world to both her and Legend. Now that she's out of the dream, does she have other memories of a life before she was trapped? Or is the island all she's known? That has yet to be seen, but she certainly didn't remember anything on Koholint. Did she grow up on the island in this dream world? It's worth thinking about, but we haven't discussed it (yet).

But yes she has trouble. Tarin wasn't real. She's known Koholint wasn't real for... like 5 or 6 years at this point (getting to Legend's era and meeting him again). And she was pretty calm in the comic. She's had time to get used to the idea bc Nadea told her to look for Legend but she wasn't convinced he was actually the same person she knew on the island (or if who she knew was all of Legend or just part of him, like how much was real?) but she'll have sufficient time to come around to the idea that yeah he was real, and Ravio's reaction to her helps cement that. She and Legend will definitely have to talk about that and that conversation will be,,,,,, interesting. Legend is used to the idea of Koholint not being real, but I believe he needs reminding that she's real frequently. That's the new part.

Aside from being shunted out of the world she knew as a teenager and having to figure out how to fend for herself, Marin was actually excited to see the world Legend had talked about. She knew it could be bad (especially since it had treated him so unfairly) but also it was so exciting to experience new cultures. She just wished she could have experienced it with Legend.

HOWEVER!! After Legend comes home (for good, Wars in tow) they can travel together! He can take Marin wherever he wants, or wherever he feels is safe enough, at least. The whole polycule could go lol.

I think she does have an accent. What is it??? Idk but she definitely speaks differently than her other partners. Lol they all have different accents, don't they? Even Legend and Ravio are different bc Legend has traveled so much.

For partners.... Woof, okay, this is really long already and I'm running out of mental bandwidth so I'm just gonna say a lil thing.

At first, Marin only has any real interaction with Ravio. She can write to Legend, but he can only be there as much as the quest allows. Her relationships with Wars and Nadea come later.

She and Ravio become friends first and foremost because they live together. And I say friends even tho Marin thinks Rav is cute and thus he starts to have a crush on her, they end up being very close bc they... they live together y'know?? And it's Legend's house but Rav wants to make her feel welcome and actually getting to know her trumps having a crush (which in turn makes the crush more than a crush and that's another letter to their boyfriend with Ravio freaking out).
