Alastor X Reader-Redemption and Back

You had finally done it. You had made it! You were going to be taken to Heaven and given your wings! Finally! This IS what you wanted, right? You sigh as you snuggle in to your boyfriends chest, thinking things over.

He was humming softly as he ran his claws through your hair gently. He didn’t want to lose you, oh no, you were his darling demon gal! But, you had wanted to be an angel. He couldn’t tell you no to that, and besides, this gave him cause to follow you to Heaven. If he could manage, that is...

You looked at the time. Only an hour left. An hour to get your things to the roof. An hour to cuddle with Alastor. One last time... Until he came to meet you in Heaven, of course! An hour to say your goodbyes to your friends. No, your family. All of your goodbyes... Even to the sweetheart herself, the princess of Hell...

“Al, I can’t do this. I can’t just leave-” you felt the hot tears start, you couldn’t hold them back. You didn’t want to say goodbye to everyone.

Alastor simply shakes his head. “Darling, you must! I cannot let you stay here when this has been such a big deal for you!” His everlasting grin almost dropping. He didn’t want you to leave either. But he was going to be strong enough, for the both of you if he had to be. “Dear, please don’t back out now, I would be sad to see you give up so easily.”

You sigh as he gently wipes the tears away. You knew he wouldn’t be there for a long time, if ever, which felt like someone was ripping your heart out. “But I don’t want to leave everyone...” You say quietly, frowning.

“Smile my dear! You’re not fully dressed without one! And everyone will follow you up! I can’t see why they wouldn’t! I certainly will follow a pretty little doll, such as yourself, to the gates of Heaven!”

You let out a soft giggle and nod. “Okay... I’ll... Give it a test run.” A small dorky smile made its way to your face?

Alastor tilts his head in confusion. “A test run, my dear? “But there have been demons sent to Heaven before! This is no longer a test-”

You giggle and shake your head. “No, what I mean is, if I get too sad or too lonely, I’ll do something stupid and come back!” you joke lightly.

“Ahohohohohoh, my dear, don’t do that! It might take us a while, but we will all eventually be right there beside you!” His grin widens slightly at your cheered up state. Why was he convincing you to go? He didn’t want you to. He sighs and sits up. “Well dear, let us go say your final goodbyes, shall we not? Everyone will be waiting for you!”

You look up at him. He was right! Only half an hour left. You sigh and link arms with him, going to the roof. You smile as you see everyone. You waved shyly. Time to say goodbye! You went through them all, Husk, Baxter, Niffty, Charlie, and Vaggie.

After what felt like only a few minutes, you saw the angels. You turn to Alastor one last time. “You promise me I’ll see you again?”

The tall Radio Demon took and then kissed the top of your hand, smiling at you. “I won’t stop trying until I succeed, my love.” He said softly, only for you to hear.

You smile and squeeze his hand, realizing you may never see him again. Your heart begged you to stay, but he gently handed your hand off to an angels, and with that, you were gone.

Charlie tried to comfort Alastor, but he simply dismissed her, and went to be alone to think about you.

He didn’t cry, no, that would make him look weak, but he couldn’t stop his grin from falling as his brain screamed at him to get you back and his heart thumped dully in pain. He’d never see her again. He was too bad to go to Heaven, but at least you were happy.

You open your eyes and looked around. Your demon form was replaced with your human one. Instead of (d/h/c) or (d/s/c) you had (h/c) and (s/c). You stood there shocked for a moment.

“You may go in at any time.” The angel who escorted you up said, slightly annoyed. Guess attitude didn’t dull when you went to Heaven.

You sigh and walk through the gates, only to be tackled? You let out a shrike. “Who are you?!!” You glare at the angel above you-wait.

“Hiya toots. Miss me?”

“Angel Dust?!”

“Shhh shh, up here I’m Anthony.” He says chuckling.

“You EGGED someones house and got sent back to HELL? After one WEEK?” Vaggie yelled at you and Angel Dust, in a private room. So far only her and Charlie had seen you too.

“Come on sweets,” Angel began, earning a glare from Vaggie. “The guy was a douche. He shoulda come down ‘ere with us, ‘e was just to holy.” Angel said in your guys’ defense. “ ‘Sides Vaggs, I didn’t wanna be up there anyways-” he began.

“Because you missed the drugs, turf wars, and sex?” she asked, snapping at him.

Charlie set a hand on her shoulder and looked between the two of you for answers.

“Well, yes, but I also missed you fuckers, alright?” he shoots his own glare at Vaggie. “Heaven is no fun, especially when everyone is tryin’ to get ya sent back ta Hell anyways.”

You nod in agreement. “Yeah. I’m uh, I’m with Angie on this.” You look down at your hands. “Besides, there are other demons up there proving that Hell DOES have people who can change... We didn’t even think we’d get in that much trouble.”

Vaggie seemed to have softened up to the both of you. But, she was still going to be strict. “Whatever. But if you two plan on staying here for free still, you’re gonna need to earn your keep.”

At the visible confusion you and Angel Dust show, Charlie perks up. “What she means is that you two will need to work here! Keep a decent reputation so the hotel doesn’t fail, but do smaller things to stay here and help!” she grins.

Of course you and Angel agree happily! This hotel was pretty much your home, and so were the people! You both go your separate ways, you to find Al, and Angel to find Husk. Or drugs.

You smile as you see him, deciding sneaking up on him would be the worst best course of action. You wrap your arms around the deer boi and he goes rigid.

He won’t kill anyone he won’t kill anyone he won’t dO IT-

“Alllll, guess what?” you sing song.

His jaw drops, was that really you? “(Y/n)?” he turns around and wraps his arms around you when he sees you, afraid you’ll disappear if he lets go.

You grin. “Yep!”

“But how did-why are-” he, for once in his life, seems to be speechless. He looks at you confused.

“Angie and I egged a guys house since he was being a dick... And well... We were condemned. Yay?” You weren’t really sure how he was going to react, if you’re being honest.  

His grin only seemed to widen though. You had really come back! He picks you up and spins you around. “Well darling, it seems to me that you mean you’ll be in Hell for quite some time then! Lets go take a stroll through Hell and maybe get a bite to eat! Omelets, perhaps? It is breakfast!” He gives you a cheeky grin.

You can’t help but giggle and shake your head. “Of course. Omelets sound great, Al.”

And with that, you were off!

These are all characters, not the actual streamers! <3 It's also not all of them since I don't watch a few of them :) I harbour no hate towards the people behind the characters that I have issues with lmao

Awesamdude - Negative relationship - basically, he let Quackity get away with putting Techno away, let Tommy die and get revived by Dream and then never apologised, and then let ghostbur die and... wtf - Yeah we aren't friends. In another universe, if he weren't the warden, we might get along.

BadBoyHalo - He kinda gives me bad vibes - After the egg stuff I just don't really like to be around him... he killed Foolish and tried to kill everyone at the banquet which I just don't vibe with - I kinda understand why he joined the egg. I mean he was there for Skeppy which I think is ok, but he really went off the deep end. If he redeems himself, I'll be the first to befriend him (cautiously)

Callahan - Alright I taught him some American Sign Language for basic communication - I go and hang out with him whenever I feel like there's too much angst on the server, he's so neutral it's honestly relaxing.

Captain Puffy - We don't know each other very well - I mean I agree with her when it comes to the egg and she seems nice but it's hard to be friends with her when her son is Dream... poor Foolish, though.

Connor - I don't know how to feel about him - I don't have anything against him but... he just seems like someone I wouldn't get along with so I don't hang out with him. He is kinda funny tho

Dream - Ok, ok, he's just an ass - I'm not even gonna list why, you know why... I'm just saying. - I do feel bad for him since Quackity just beats the living shit out of him and he's already in prison so why...?

Dream XD - I fear no man... but that thing... it scares me. - Why his voice do that?? - I avoid him but if he approached me, I would be ok with being his friend, I mean he's a god. If I don't then I might die. Might as well use it to the fullest extent I can.

Eret - I don't really understand why he joined the opposing side during the L'Manburg war - I mean she's cool! I like their outfits and it's nice to have another queer person on the DSMP - I think we'd be good friends in another life, but our friend groups don't overlap very much, so it's hard to hang with them.

Foolish - Little bit scary ngl - Lightning go brrrrrr - I feel really bad for him since he's gotta be related to Dream and he died during the egg shit. That's just cruel. - also I don't really vibe with his personality but I do like to talk to him about his building ventures since I also love to build

Fundy - I feel sooooo bad for him - He's super cute, super sweet, and he just deserves more love - I plant sweet berries around his house to brighten his day whenever I can and I also feed his fox - I love to talk to him and he teaches me dutch sometimes because it's an interesting language. Also, he just deserves a good role model in his life... Like Will kinda sucked as his dad, Schlatt was not a good role model, and his friends don't really care about him. :( - Um also (IRL) he's the reason I started watching the DSMP, I love coding and Dutch so it was a very good mix for me

George - I sleep the opposite amount that he does. - I love his mushroom aesthetic but I stay away from him in fear of Dream XD. - I don't have a lot to say about him since he's not on the dsmp much

Jack Manifold - Yo he's lowkey annoying??? - Give Tommy his hotel back??? He died??? - If he were nicer to Tommy I'd be his friend but he's gotta get his shit together lmao

Jschlatt - Fuck that guy - bruh, he ruined L'Manburg?? - He drinks too much, not surprised he had a heart attack oof

Glatt - Ghost Schlatt gives me such chaotic evil vibes - I enjoy his presence much more than I enjoy his living presence. - I like the fact that he's kinda useless and can't do anything. It's like going to a zoo to see a creature you wouldn't want to see in the wild

Karl Jacobs - I feel bad that he's losing his memory, he's such a fun character. - I like to hang out with him but he makes me sad and also our friend groups do not vibe with each other oof

Niki Nihachu - She's super sweet and absolutely terrifying. - I love to help her bake and its super fun to try out new recipes with her - People really underestimate her and in return for her help with the baking, I help her train her fighting skills.

Philza - DADZA - I get in trouble with him a lot oof, I like to troll people so it happens quite a bit. Also, I take the blame for a lot of the stuff Techno and I get up to as well as with the bench trio. - He taught me how to sew and crochet so I can make my own clothes. I also build with him whenever he asks for help

Quackity - Scared. - He's rude and evil and I dislike him... gambling bad - I like Charlie and I think he's a good influence on Quackity but tbh I feel the same as Techno in this scenario. I am not a Quackity apologist!

Ranboo - I have the same vibe as him. We are one and the same. - I keep an eye on him during his enderwalks, he worries me sometimes. - Out of everyone in the bench trio, we get along the best. I take care of Michael sometimes when he's out doing Snowchester stuff with Tubbo.

Sapnap - I mean I dislike him a little, he throws off my vibe. - He's on the wrong side of everything imo, just stop being weird, big man... - Also I mean I don't understand why he threatened Dream with torture if he ever escaped. Like you don't have to tell him that, just do it? - We have very similar voices (IRL oh no) and so I'll mess with people by doing my best impression of him

Skeppy - One of the many victims of my trolling (with techno usually) - He's fun to hang out with for a while but I can't handle being around him for too long, he gives me a headache - Sometimes I wonder if he's actually made out of diamonds... should I kill him and see what happens?

Charlie (Slimecicle) - BEST BOY I LOVE HIM - HE'S SO CUTE DAP ME UP - Honestly, we get along soooo well, he reminds me of a slime for some reason, hmmmmmmmm - I try to teach him human-ness because if he doesn't want to look like a slime then there's no reason for me to say no

Technoblade - Ah yes the best one on the SMP - He did not like me at first, I can be a bit annoying oh no - Eventually, he got a soft spot for me since we have the same sense of humour and I love to mess with people - I sympathise with him, he deserves so much more than he's getting. - I wish he didn't express his emotions as anger all the time since it really affects everyone. He's got some anger issues and I try to deal with them with him.

TommyInnit - Omg I still find him annoying but I love to hang out with him like Wilbur does. - He needs to learn some boundaries but he is still a kid, so it doesn't really matter. I think people have to stop being little shits to him since his brain hasn't fully formed, like all adolescents. - He's very sweet sometimes and I appreciate his assistance in a lot of random tasks

Tubbo - I am allergic to bees so we can't hang too much - I like to chill with him and Ranboo and sometimes him and Tommy, but I'm always telling Tommy off for being a little shit to Tubbo. - I do not approve of his governmental ways, but his heart is in the right place. Also, why do you have nukes?

Wilbur Soot - Too much government, I do not approve - not a good father - Eventually, he stopped governmenting so whatever, no more animosity from me, eh?

Ghostbur - Awww he gave me blue - how dare he die twice - I love friend, I walked him sometimes. So glad he has infinite canon lives - I wish he had more time on the SMP, he's super sweet and his vibe is amazing

Revivebur - Alright he's kinda cool, I like his hair. - He doesn't have any governmental plans thank god - He's a bit worrying but he hasn't done anything yet. I'll just keep my eyes on him.

listen you already know i love maverick mitchell but i Really Really Love Maverick Mitchell with all my heart and i HATE that people refuse to see him for the three-dimensional character that he is (and that tom played him as). he’s determined and confident and has every right to be, he’s a badass pilot, but i love his character arc about learning how to be a team player. i LOVE his relationship with goose and carole and baby!bradley (and ice, in any capacity) and i am so ready for said relationships to Destroy me in the sequel. (also when mav is Sad i am Sad, and it looks like he has had even more to be sad about btwn tg1 and tg2. what happened to you mav. what did they do to you. mcq if u do not give this man a happy ending a hug and some therapy i swear to GOD-)

iceman kazansky

the fact that ice is as much of an ensemble darkhorse / breakout character has everything to do with val kilmer (whom i also love) being a fantastic actor, bc lets be real the script did not give him a lot to work with here. i love his hair and his face and his very pretty eyes (whose color i can STILL not discern after many rewatches) and his absolutely warranted confidence in himself (and as a pilot). i love that he isn’t afraid to call mav out for being unsafe (srsly, he is the Only Sane Man in this entire movie) but appreciates mav’s outside the box / ‘dangerous’ thinking as his wingman. he’s got a big heart (as evidenced by the 'i’m sorry about goose’ scene) behind those ice cold walls, and i cannot WAIT to see how his relationship with mav has grown by the time the sequel is finally released. give me respected admiral iceman kazansky or give me death. if they kill ice off i AM disowning canon mcq, do you hear me.

i love goose SO FUCKING MUCH, every bit of him, from the not-at-all-regulation mustache to the bad jokes to the country-fried southern vibe to the singing and piano-playing to how much he respects and cares about mav (and how much mav respects and cares about him in return). his relationship with carole is my favorite thing on this entire earth, followed closely by his relationship with mav and also his relationship with ice. (like ice really respects goose and vice versa, and they clearly knew each other pre-canon, and one of the few times ice smiles genuinely in the movie is at goose - i really wish canon gave us more goose&ice, there’s so much to analyze there.) his death scene makes me tear up every time.

carole bradshaw

carole is the BEST. actual ray of sunshine in human form and also a fashion icon. i adore her optimism and kindness, even in literally the worst times, and i especially love how much she adores goose and mav. forever bitter that they didn’t recast meg ryan to play her in the sequel though i’m sure jean louisa kelly will do a good job bringing carole to the big screen. (NOT a fan of the fact that it looks like she and mav and bradley by extension haven’t spoken in a long time and i Demand an explanation, even if it’s angsty.)

last we saw bradley he was a little kid who clearly worshipped his dad and by the time the top gun 2 trailer rolled around, he’s the spitting image of his father, serious and determined to make a name for himself (with possible authority issues like young!mav, given he’s still a lieutenant in his late thirties).  i am very excited to meet him, and i’m also super excited to see his relationships with phoenix and the other pilots, and with jean louisa kelly’s carole bradshaw. (if bradley is playing great balls of fire on the piano in that one clip in the trailer i am going to just. straight up drop dead.) 

speaking of the trailers it’s clear bradley holds a serious grudge towards mav - “my dad believed in you, i’m not gonna make the same mistake” GOD. what happened btwn mav and bradley? what happened to their relationship?? (who taught him to blame mav for his dad’s death bc i hope to god it wasn’t carole - i’m leaning toward jon hamm’s character bc he seems like an asshole who does not like mav, or maybe even mav just refusing to correct bradley’s assumption bc he blames himself too.) anyway, PLEASE tell me bradley realizes he’s being an asshole by blaming mav for his dad’s death and works on repairing their relationship (and works through his own grief as well).

one of the people i am most excited to meet in the sequel! i don’t know anything about her besides the info from a 2017 casting call describing her as a “fierce pilot, gifted leader, kind of a loner, eager to prove herself, who falls for bradley aka rooster,” but that is enough to make me Very Excited to meet her - ESPECIALLY if the bradley/phoenix is going to be set up like icemav, which i have a strong suspicion it’s going to be, complete with height difference. (phoenix: *does anything*, bradley: top me top me top me.) also, a potential mav&phoenix father/daughter relationship????? Sign Me The Fuck Up. this movie is just going to end with me in tears and with custody of seven or eight new children.

listen apparently he is just a cryptid because we only know his name and i THOUGHT he was gonna be a main character since he was one of the first to get named, but we have only seen him on the periphery of some scenes in the trailers, even after all this time, so now i kinda doubt it. but he is played by the gorgeous manny jacinto and he and bradley sat near each other once so i am assuming they are friends in some way, and also my headcanon of him as amy santiago trapped in the body of jason mendoza has made me love him very much. pls don’t kill him, canon. also pls @ manny and mcq and kosinski give me SOMETHING to work with here lmao.

look. i know mcq and co are probably going to set up hangman vs rooster to be like mav vs ice, enemies/rivals to friends, but honestly, i’m not all that here for it??? i do like that from his callsign alone, hangman is probably going to be a darker version of ice (less kind, more focused on the job, maybe more like charlie than like ice if that makes any sense at all) and his rivalry with bradley is already clearly a lot more heated than mav’s ever was with ice. anyway, glen powell is an excellent actor, so let’s hope he makes hangman a 3d character in his own right and not just an iceman expy.

i’m already lowkey shipping payback/fanboy and i love bob for looking like a dorky 21st century radar o’reilly, but honestly, not super on the edge of my seat to meet these guys. i do want to know whose WSO bob is - my guess is phoenix’s since they were sitting next to each other at one point, but he could also be hangman’s - and my worry is that since he’s the only named WSO right now, they could very well Pull A Goose and kill him off in a training accident. (i hope not since i don’t want a complete canon redux, but it would definitely be angsty.)
