Just Us
Percy Jackson x Reader Percy Jackson & the Olympians
Anonymous asked: I love your blog! If you are doing requests right now, are you able to do something with Percy and his S/O arguing and making up. Or some angst with a happy ending?
This got a little long. Hope y’all don’t mind :) Enjoy!
Requests are open for headcanons and fics!
The lonely apartment felt weird. It was happening more and more frequently as of late, but that didn’t mean it was any less wrong.
When you and Percy had first moved in together, the apartment on 76th Street had felt so alive. It was perfect, and he was perfect, and nothing could possibly have taken that feeling away. And it had lasted, not forever, of course, but long enough that you were confident that letting yourself fall so hard for the scruffy-haired skater boy from the Upper East Side was the right choice.
Sure, living with the son of Poseidon had its interesting moments, like the pegasi that tended to show up on your fire escape every so often, or the monsters that would sometimes follow you home after date nights. But overall, it was good and it felt right.
Until recently, that is. When the apartment started getting lonelier and lonelier, and you couldn’t shake the feeling that your world was somehow irreparably different. Like how your mouth feels after you get a tooth pulled. Something was missing, even when the apartment wasn’t empty.
Sometimes, it was his mom needing someone to watch Estelle. She was always so happy that Percy wanted to be a part of his little sister’s life. And who were you to deny him that? So off he would dutifully go, often not getting back until after you were asleep, sometimes just staying the night and not getting back until after you had gone to work the next morning.
Other times, it was Jason requesting help making sure both demigod camps had appropriate tributes to every minor god or goddess. You knew the work was tedious, and you knew how much Percy valued his friendship with Jason. So when the son of Jupiter called, you waved dutifully as Percy climbed on Blackjack’s back, not coming back for days, or sometimes even a week or more.
Most times, though, it was Annabeth or Grover just wanting to hang out. And you understood, really, you did. His two best and longest friends didn’t really have time to consistently spend with him anymore. Annabeth had gotten into Harvard’s graduate architecture program, so she only had precious little time to spend with Percy, and she could never leave Cambridge. Grover, of course, was still off spreading Pan’s message, and rarely did he have time to spare for his best friend. So, of course, you dutifully watched him race to gather his things, often enough forgetting to even say goodbye, before he was out the door for who knows how long.
Sadly, you sank into the couch—a plush leather hand-me-down from Sally and Paul when they redecorated their own apartment a couple years back—and turned on the TV. When he was gone for long periods of time, the news was often the only way to see what he was up to, even though he had a cellphone and a way to Iris message you on his literal wrist.
It was almost time for the 11 o’clock news, and, in theory, Percy should be home soon. You hadn’t heard anything from him all day, which wasn’t surprising, despite the fact that he was literally just on the other side of Manhattan babysitting.
But you weren’t so sure that he’d be home that night. Not only because Sally didn’t like when Percy walked home late at night. Of course she didn’t, and you didn’t either. The walk was quick during the day because he could just cut through Central Park, but late at night, the park was closed to pedestrian traffic. That, plus the fact that you and Percy had gotten into a bit of an argument before he went left you uncertain that he would return that night.
Or ever, for that matter, although your brain told you that was ridiculous.
All you had done was ask him to spend a little more time with you. You didn’t want to take him away from his friends and family, but you rarely got to spend time with your boyfriend anymore. Between work, helping out at camp, and him spending what seemed like every spare moment with his friends and family, you missed him. And you told him that.
Maybe you communicated it wrong, or maybe he misheard you, but whatever the reason, he left the apartment in a huff at noon.
Shortly before the news ended, you heard a roll of thunder and rain pattering gently on the window. There was no way Sally would let him leave in a storm. You stood and stretched, feeling your back pop, and made your way into your bedroom.
You had only been in bed for what felt like a few minutes when you heard the clattering on the fire escape. Annoyed, you got up and went to the window. You were getting ready to yell at Blackjack for making so much noise when you saw Percy half-slumped over on his back, clutching at his side. His shirt was torn and ruddy, and he was soaked from the rain that had progressively gotten worse.
Silently, you scrambled out the window, patting the pegasus’ nose as he shuffled to give you better access to his injured rider. You helped Percy dismount, pressing your hand to his wound so that he could use both of his arms. He mumbled a quiet ‘thanks, buddy’ and leaned his head against Blackjack’s snout for a brief moment before pushing away and letting you help him gingerly climb through the window. Your brain barely registered the flap of wings outside as you led Percy to sitting on the bed.
“What happened?” you asked softly, replacing your hand with his own before going to the bedside table to grab the container of ambrosia you had stashed in every room of the apartment.
“Empousai in the park.” His voice was hoarse, and he sounded tired. You doubted his six-year-old sister had tuckered him out that much. “Didn’t see them until it was too late. They chased me halfway through the Ramble before I was able to get some ground on them.”
You frowned, cupping a hand to his cheek briefly. “You’re home now,” you whispered. “That’s what matters.”
He paused for a moment, and you could see an emotion flash across his face too quickly to identify. Then, he nodded.
Silently, you went to the wardrobe and pulled out dry clothes for him to change into. Percy took the pajamas gratefully, and for a moment, his sea green eyes met yours. You were glad in that moment that he wasn’t the son of Zeus—the electricity in the air was palpable.
“How was Estelle?” you asked quietly, breaking his gaze. You sat on the edge of the bed while he changed.
He chuckled, wincing slightly. The ambrosia must not have fully finished healing him yet. “Good. She’s good. She asked about you.” You raised your eyebrows in shock and he continued. “She wants you to come over to play school sometime.”
You laughed. The last time you had played school with the five-year-old, she had been the teacher and you and Percy had pretended to be her bad students. She loved it. “Well, I suppose we’ll have to make that happen, then.”
He nodded and went silent as he pulled the ratty Red Hot Chili Peppers shirt over his head. It used to be a hoodie—you had gotten it for him shortly after you met him—and he wore it so much it was practically threadbare. He had cut the hood off at some point, and the front pocket had ripped off in a monster fight two years ago, so now it was just a thin sweatshirt that had been mended and sewn back together so many times, most of the stitching wasn’t original. But still he refused to throw it out.
After a moment, he sat down beside you, and for a second, you thought he wasn’t going to say anything. Then, he grabbed your hand. “Mom asked about you, too.”
“Oh?”
Percy sighed. His hair was soaked, and it stuck to his face at odd angles. He looked a mess, although if you were honest with yourself, he had certainly looked much worse. “I’m sorry I’m a shit boyfriend,” he mumbled. His grasp on your hand loosened. “I didn’t realize…”
You squeezed his hand.
“Everyone always told me that my fatal flaw was being too loyal to my friends. I never knew what that meant. ‘Til now.” His sea green eyes were sad when he finally let himself meet your eyes. “Turns out you can be too loyal.”
“I love how much you love your friends,” you reassured him. “I just want a bit more balance. I was starting to get the impression you didn’t want to spend time with me anymore.”
His brows knit together in frustration. “Of course I want to spend time with you. I love you.” The way Percy said it, so finitely and sure of himself, caused your heart to do backflips in your chest.
You leaned over and kissed him chastely, your lips barely brushing his. Before you had a chance to pull away, he was pulling you closer and kissing you again, one arm around your waist, the other cupping your cheek tenderly. It was brief, but kissing Percy always tied your stomach into knots like it was the first time.
He leaned his forehead against yours, and in the close proximity, you could feel him smile without even looking at him. “Mom invited us both for dinner tomorrow,” he mumbled, his sea green eyes meeting yours once again. “Maybe after, we can start that thing on HBO. The one with the monsters. Just us.”
You smiled. “Just us.”

Bakugou, Kirishima & Todoroki  with Ariana Grande songs
trying out a new format! I love writing small fics / headcanons based on a song. I was going through my Ariana playlist and these came to my mind. Hope you like them! <3
Bakugou Katsuki - everytime
You get high and call on the regular / I get weak and fall like a teenager
Tumblr media
He's rough. He knows he's being rough. He just doesn't care.
You were the one that went to his place, though.
His fingers are digging your hips so hard you can just tell he's going to leave bruises. But it turns you on even more. Your kiss is sloppy and your teeth crashes his sometimes, but both you and Katsuki keep getting back at it, trying to satiate a thirst that had begun long ago.
All it took was a text from him to get you off your bed, brush your hair, fix your makeup and go to his apartment in the middle of the night. The fact both of your lived in the same building seemed a cruel joke in that moment. He had pushed you against the wall the moment you walked in, kissing you like his life depended on it.
You didn't know why you even went there. You had just gone out to a lovely date with a nice man Midoriya had introduced you to. He had taken you to see a movie and then kissed you on the cheek as he said goodbye. He was a gentleman and even made you laugh several times, but it didn't change the fact you were back into Katsuki's apartment, your fingers tangled into his hair, trying to pull him even closer to you. You thought going to that date would help you get rid of your thoughts about him and his chiselled arms that were currently caging you, but it seemed it had done next to nothing. Not that you were really surprised by that.
"I need to go. I've got patrolling duty tomorrow" you whispered between kisses. Katsuki pulled away, his stern expression never changing and nodded. You took a deep breath, taking in the image of his ragged breath and strong arms one more time before turning around and leaving his apartment.
"That was the last time. The last fucking time" you scolded yourself under your breath as you made your way back to your room. There had to be a way to stop yourself going back to him every day he snapped his fingers.
Maybe someday you could find out how.
Kirishima Eijiro - Moonlight
I’d be crushing on you, baby. Stay right there where you are / I never knew you could hold moonlight in your hands ‘til the night I held you
Tumblr media
It was a pleasant surprise when you realized the agency you had joined was in front of Fat Gum's agency, where Kirishima was still working at. You had crossed paths when you went to the store to buy some snacks and decided to see each other at the end of the day so he could show you that side of the town. His smile was so big you didn't have the heart to tell him you were actually familiar with that area.
You had gone to the woods near your old school, U.A. Since your quirk was offensive and his was defensive, he offered to let you practice your attacks while he protected himself.
It started like that. Every Thursday afternoon you would meet in front of the store you had first seen each other again and walk to the woods. After a few weeks, you both were more comfortable with each other, staying up and chatting after you were done with practice. You learnt a lot about his family, stories about FatGum and his encounters with villains. You did your best to pay attention but we're always distracted by how beautiful he looked when he passionately talked about his dreams and his job, which seemed to be the same. You had had a big crush on him back when you were teens, but didn't act on it, trying to focus on getting stronger and a better hero.
However, not even two months into your weekly training, you ended up kissing him. You hadn't planned on it, but the atmosphere was very inviting. The sun was setting, he was laying on his back, telling you about his last fight with a villain and explaining how he had teamed up with SunEater to win. You were laying on your stomach, propping yourself on your elbows, watching him wave his arms as he told his story. Almost as if you couldn't refrain yourself anymore, you bent down and pressed a kiss on the corner of his mouth. Kirishima had blushed and laughed nervously. You muttered and apology but before you could finish, he sat up and kissed you again.
Training was long forgotten after that. You would still meet up every week, but instead of training, Kirishima and you would just spend time together. Sometimes, he would leave kisses all over your face as you giggled. When it was your turn, you would blow raspberries on his cheek, marvelling at your he would squirm underneath you as he laughed like a little kid. You always ended up embracing each other, whispering sweet words until night came, when he would accompany you to the train station and kiss you goodbye.
One summer afternoon, you listened to one of Kirishima's stories as he laid between your legs, his back pressed to your chest as you rested against a tree. How could a man so pure and sweet could be real? How could there be someone who not only wanted to be strong to help everyone else, but also pushed everyone to be their best selves? You pressed a kiss on his shoulder as he continued his story. Holding someone as pure and sweet against you felt like holding moonlight between your hands. And you never wanted to let go.
Todoroki Shoto - imagine
This is a pleasure, feel like we never act this regular
Tumblr media
As part of trying to fix his relationship with Endeavor, Shoto had to assist to certain event he couldn’t care less about. And as his girlfriend, you were always there to support him. He had assured you it wasn’t mandatory for you to assist -he knew how boring those meetings could get- but you always reminded him you would always be there for him, trying to make those events a little bit less duller.
That night, after dinner with his father and some other important heroes, Shoto had informed him that you had an early meeting at your job and he had to accompany you back so you could get some sleep. Endeavor didn’t like it. In fact, you knew he didn’t like you at all: you were not even close to the top ten heroes. Shoto didn’t seem to mind, as it wasn’t important for him, but it was still a sensitive issue for his father. He let you two leave with a stern look, making sure you both knew how much he disapproved your actions.
Shoto sat on the couch and sighed heavily, eyes closed. You went to the kitchen and turned on the electric boiler, ready to prepare some tea for both of you. Even if Shoto had managed to get you to leave the dinner early, you knew he was upset about having to deal with that sort of thing on a regular basis. There was so much to be expected of him and you could tell it was already taking its toll. There had to be a way to help him relieve some of that pressure. You just had to find out how.
Two weeks later, Shoto stood in front of his agency, looking down at the street. Your text said to wait for you to pick him up after he was done with work, but it had been over ten minutes and you weren’t there. Right when he was about to get worried, he saw your car getting closer and sighed, relieved. He got into the passenger’s seat and right when he was about to kiss you, he noticed your outfit. You were wearing a blonde wig, paired with a pair of sunglasses. You smiled mischievously at him and told him to look into the glove compartment. Shoto obliged, finding a black wig with a messy hairstyle. You helped him put it on and made sure it could cover up his scar.
“We’re leaving for the weekend” you announced, stepping on the gas pedal and driving through the highway. Shoto looked at the backseat and saw a two bags already prepared.
“We both have patrolls this weekend” he reminded you.
“Not anymore, got that sorted out for both of us” you sing-sung.
Shoto wasn’t one for surprises. It wasn’t he didn’t like them, he just didn’t get excited by them. Sure, a weekend away with you would be nice, but in what way would it be different from any other weekend you spent time together?
He got his answer once he realized how far you both were from the city. You parked in front of a hotel, that almost looked like a cabin from outside. It only seemed to have two floors. You fixed his wig a little before stepping out and walking to the registration. That was when it hit him. Shoto saw you register both of you under false names and it pained him it took him so long to understand what was the point of the wigs, when it wasn’t the first time he was wearing one. As you filled out some forms, he could clearly see his face in the news, about a robbery that was stopped the day before. Unlike any normal day, he didn’t see anyone look at him. No one knew he was a hero. No one was expecting anything of him. The realization made him sigh in relief, noticing in that moment how tense his whole body had been so far.
“We’re actually on our honeymoon” he heard you tell the lady in front of you. He felt heat rise up to his cheeks. The woman congratulated you both, wishing you happiness and a nice stay at the hotel.
Once you were both in your room, he couldn’t get but smile at the way you jumped on the bed and bounced a little. You laughed and stood up, walking back to him and placing a small kiss on his cheek.
“So, honeymoon?” he asked, with a slight teasing tone. Now it was your turn to blush as you gave him an apologetic smile. You put your arms arounds his neck and felt his hands resting on your waist.
“Yeah, I may have went overboard with that”
“No, I liked it” he replied, with a small shrug. You grinned and kissed him again, this time on the lips.
“We can go anywhere around this town. Nobody knows us here. We can order some food for tonight and then sleep until noon if we want to. Even if it’s just for this weekend… I thought you may like it” you explained.
“I do” Shoto nodded, tightening his hold on your waist and pulling you closer, your face burying on his neck. “Thank you” he whispered against your temple.
Even if just for a weekend, you couldn’t wait to disappear with him on your side.

Canals – All Time Low
Smile, tell me I'm alright With a goodbye You are so misleading A kiss or a gun fight High-noon or midnight Darling, I don't want to know If I'm just a short sight on a cold night The canals are freezing So tell me I'm alright with a goodbye

Nightmares – All Time Low
Now there's a ghost in the back of this room And I don't like it I fall asleep with my covers pulled up And try to fight it I gotta say, it's hard to be brave When you're alone in the dark I told myself that I wouldn't be scared But I'm still having nightmares

[RF] The Better Man
"Come on, come on. Pick up the phone." James was pacing in the hallway, a bottle of rum in one hand.
The ringing stopped. "Jeanie, it's me, Jim."
"Really? Cause my phone definitely said 'asshole' was calling." She mocked laughter at her own joke.
"Yeah, funny. Listen, can you pick me up? I need to crash at your place a few days."
He heard Jean sigh, and bit his lip as he waited for her answer. "Sure…Where are you?"
"I'm at a hotel on Claremont. I'll uh, send it to you."
She was silent again. She knew what that meant. "This is the last time Jim." She hung up.
James quietly stepped back into the room from the hallway. His “companion” from the previous night was already awake, in bed and half-dressed.
“I suppose you want me to leave then?” she said. He’d expected annoyance or anger from the woman, but she seemed rather cavalier.
He shook his head as he grabbed his wallet from the night stand. “Um, no that’s fine Sarah. I’ll just head down and pay on my way out. You can have the room ‘til noon.”
“Can I have another kiss?”
He stopped a few steps from the door. None of the women he’d met with had ever asked him that. It made him uncomfortable. He swallowed and turned around, his pride outweighing his conscience.
When he leaned in to kiss her, she turned her lips away at the last moment. “It’s Samantha by the way.”
He sighed and clicked his tongue in her ear. “I’m sorry.” In a few steps and he was back at the door. “In that case, if you want to call me, look up James fucking Dean.”
The door shut behind him without a word from Samantha. James smirked at his snide comment and headed for the elevator.
“That’ll be $105 for the night then,” the woman at the counter said courteously. “And please, no open bottles in the lobby.”
He handed her his card and stepped over to the coffee station. He poured the rest of his bottle in a paper cup with a lid and discarded it.
She eyed him, but said nothing else except “I hope you enjoyed your stay.”
He sat on a bench in the smoking area and called his boss. “Hey Don. I was just calling to let you know that me and the family will probably be back a little early. The kid’s not feeling too well, probably the heat. Disneyland is a blast though, you should take your little crew.”
He took a sip from his cup to wash out the distaste. “Anyway, I’ll be back in probably Friday then. See you then. Bye.”
The morning air was crisp, not too warm, and not too wet. James waited, what felt too long. He calculated the distance on his phone. "She should be here by now."
Her phone rang through until voicemail when he tried to call. "Listen, I'm sorry ok? I shouldn't be doing this. Like you said this is the last time, I promise."
He groaned as he set the phone back down on the small glass table and took another sip from his cup.
How did he end up here? He should be in control of his life, out on top. Instead he was making excuses for every decision, and his promises weren't worth the oxygen expelled.
He looked over his shoulder and saw Samantha talking to the woman at the counter. Not wanting to converse again, he picked up his cup and crossed the street to the taxi stand at the adjacent hotel.
"332 Hepburn Ave."
He watched Samantha walk out of the hotel. Her long blonde hair was now done up, she looked even prettier than she had last night. He continued to watch her make a call until she was out of sight.
Once I'm the freeway, the driver signaled to take an exit.
"Take the next one, it's faster."
The driver shook his head and pointed at his phone. "There's an accident up ahead."
James could see just the start of traffic piling up a half mile down the freeway, but he couldn't see the accident. He tried to tune into another sense, one he'd spent the last several years trying to block out.
"She's in trouble," whispered to himself.
"What's that?" The driver asked, slowing down
"Get as close as you can to the accident!" James reached between the front seats and pushed the steering wheel. The car skidded back onto the main road, nearly hitting a pole.
The driver slammed on the brakes. "The hell?!"
James opened the door and started running down the road towards the accident.
"Hey! I'm charging for the whole trip!"
Something had happened to Jeanie. He knew it. He knew when they were both ten and she broke her leg riding her bicycle with her friends while he was home.
Cars honked at him but he didn't care. He as fast as he could, his expensive shoes crushing his toes.
"Sir you need to step back, emergency services are still on the scene," an officer said to him. He didn't listen. He was frozen, his gaze fixed on the electric blue sedan in front of him, it was on it's side.
"The driver she?...", he managed to say.
"She's being transported in the ambulance, do you know her?"
James sat in the corner of the hospital room. The surgery and waiting had taken hours. Jean had more wrappings than a corpse, but she was alive. Broken bones, road rash, and her reconstructed face would heal eventually.
"Don't get me wrong, I'm glad you could be there for her, but I still don't believe you. You didn't go on that business trip." Katherine said angrily through the phone.
"I don't need his from you right now, my sister almost died today," he replied.
"I'm sorry. I just don't understand what's going on, or why it took so long for you to call."
"It's been a long day," James sighed.
"Well, William and I will be up there after school tomorrow, he'll be happy to see you back early." She still had doubt in her voice. "Just take care of yourself honey. Get a hotel room or something."
"I want to stay here. With Jeanie."
"Ok, call me in the morning if there's news. Or if you just want to talk."
"Sure thing."
"I love you Jim."
"You too."
He stood next to his twin sister on the bed, taking her right hand which was in better shape than her left.
"I know your all drugged up, but if you can hear me I'm sorry. It should be me lying in that bed, with you telling me I told you so. Although, maybe they fixed your crooked nose.”
James stepped out in the hallway to find something solid to eat to mingle with the rum and coffee.
“Is the cafeteria open?” He asked a nurse passing him in the hallway.
“It is but,” she cocked her head. “It’s only vending machines in there.”
“That’s alright, thank you very much.” He started in the other direction.
Of course it was Jeanie. She attracted enough bad luck for the two of them. Every accident, ever tough break, every broken heart. It was always Jeanie.
I’ve got no reason to feel sorry for myself. James thought, as he reached for his pastry from the bottom of the vending machine. But he did. James couldn’t be pitied, he couldn’t regret. He wasn’t allowed to be anything but thankful for his lot in life, and responsible for upholding it.
To always be the better man; it carried a price of its own.
His phone vibrated with a text message:
“So, Mr. Dean, or should I say Mr. Howard? Same place in an hour? My treat. - Samantha”
