For the angst prompts, 10 for Barry and Morgan?
YESSS ofc! This takes place right after 3x1, when Barry returns from Flashpoint. All the canon changes of Flashpoint are intact...but Barry hasn't found out about those just yet ;)
Barry skidded to a stop in the Cortex, eyes wide and desperate as he scanned the room. Caitlin, Cisco, Iris, Jesse, Harry— No, no, where’s—? “Barry?” Cisco frowned. “What’s wrong?” What’s wrong? What’s wr—how could he ask that?! Morgan’s missing, she’s gone, she— …wait. Maybe she’s not. Maybe…maybe I’m just overreacting. “Barr?” Iris prompted softly. “Where’s Morgan?” He burst out, hoping for any answer. At school, with Tina…even kidnapped, he’d save her in a heartbeat—anything to hold his baby sister again, to settle his n— “Who?” His heart skipped a beat. “…Morgan. Our Morgan. Don’t you remember?” “Allen, what are you talking about?” Harry frowned. “We don’t know any Morgan.” “But you do!” Barry’s eyes darted desperately between them. “You all—Iris, she worked with you at Jitters, you recommended her to Starbucks in Starling City, she’s one of your best friends!” Iris just stared back in confusion. “I don’t know anyone like th—” “Caitlin, Cisco,” he entreated. “Come on, you guys knew her before I did! She was Thawne’s so-called daughter, he treated her terribly—we all missed the signs, me most of all, don’t you remember any of it?!” “I’d never miss something like that,” Caitlin whispered, tears in her eyes as she set her jaw. “That…I’m a doctor, what kind of doctor would miss that?!” “It’s okay, Cait.” Cisco squeezed her hand reassuringly, his worried gaze still fixed on Barry. “Jesse?” He pleaded, desperately running over and shaking her, ignoring everyone’s startled cries. “Please, please, she’s your sister, your soulmate, you must know someth—” “Get off me!” Jesse shoved him off, succeeding only because of his shock, fearful as she stared him down. “What the hell’s gotten into you, Barry? I have no idea who that girl is!” “That can’t be!” Barry cried. “That…that’s impossible!” How could everyone just forget M—? “Things are back to how they should be. Well…for me, anyway. For you…” He froze. No, no, what did you do to her, what did you— “Barry?” Iris prompted gently, snapping him out of it. “It’s okay. Whatever happened...we’ll figure it out, okay?” His friends, his family, had only shock and concern written on their faces. All for him. Not Morgan. Because…because they didn't remember her. They didn’t remember how much they loved her. How much they worried about her. How much better their lives were for having her in them. They didn’t remember the Team’s youngest, most vulnerable member, who had been part of it nearly since its beginning, who had always risked her life to protect them even when they begged her not to (just like Barry, they teased, which always charged up a surge of guilt within him). All of this…he’d time-traveled to save his mom, to maybe even save his dad too, but in the process— In the process, all he’d done was erase Morgan from their lives somehow. “Now, you can reset the timeline, you can try to fix it, but no matter how hard you try…it’s never gonna be exactly how it was.” No. No, I won’t accept that. He hadn’t accepted it with the tidal wave, when he’d time-traveled to save lives, and he sure as hell wouldn’t accept it now, when his time travel had erased one. No, not erased. Not…not erased, just…just gone. Just not here. The mere thought of that made him sick. Morgan, his baby sister…wherever she was, she needed him. And he needed her too. “Cisco,” Barry tried again, “you can see into other timelines, can’t you? Please…” Cisco frowned. “You…you think we’re in a different timeline?” “That…would mean you time-traveled.” Caitlin frowned too. “Barry?” Iris’s eyes widened. Of course, she’d put the pieces together. Barry looked around at all of them, at their wary faces, and sighed. “There’s…there’s something I should tell you…”

is it okay if i ask you the same question you asked me? i'm really curious and i'd like to know more about your take on Barry and Cisco and their powers and how they connect and work together. if it's okay?
Yes definitely!
Usually I headcanon Cisco's powers come from the Speed Force, and almost in two parts? So, there is the general in dctv canon metahumans are created at exposure to some unnamed dark matter, established in series 1 but not a constant requirement of exposure at a moment that would otherwise result in death, almost like a rapid evolution in a single organism instead of over generations (which might have a name but I can't think of one right now). And dark matter might just be everywhere, so presumably there is a specific particle or something that activates an existing metagene, and the most likely source seems to be the Speed Force? It's opening the Speed Force in s4 that creates the bus metas, the Philosopher's Stone in s3 is from the Speed Force, even way back at the start the purpose of the particle accelerator is to channel a path for the Speed Force to reach Barry. Which actually what you said the other day about Cisco's powers coming from Barry first travelling through time fits so well, I have been writing them in fic as starting to develop slowly from the initial explosion, but travelling through time is sort of the first time Barry accesses the Speed Force rather than just draws power from it if that makes sense? And he doesn't know it yet, but that moment, that surge of power Barry unknowingly lets out being what triggers Cisco's metagene, again with the end goal of saving his life... Yes, I like this idea, I'm going to stick with it after I talk about the second half of how I headcanon Cisco's powers are connected to the Speed Force.
Which is Cisco's powers are literally from the Speed Force, he's connected to it just like Barry is, it just manifests in different ways. Barry when he travels through time intentionally sees things in the Speed Force, in a similar way to Cisco's vibes, they can both access different universes through their powers, both their powers are linked to vibrations, so maybe the Speed Force is impossible to truly say what it is, but it's somehow connected to the vibration of the multiverse. And I think maybe Cisco's powers might also be linked to the other Forces too- the Speed Force uses plural pronouns in their early appearances, then stops after the arc with the other Forces, after they become separate entities, so with Cisco's abilities meaning he sees through time maybe he draws from the Still Force a little at least, I think it could have been fun to have Cisco's powers glitching after Crisis and at first they think it's because the multiverse is gone and then it goes into the Forces arc and they slowly piece together the Forces are no longer together and that's what's causing Cisco's problems, when they get them to work together again Cisco's powers are fixed too.
Anyway I got distracted. There is a line in episode two "[Cisco's] the eyes and ears, and [Barry's] the feet", and I think that almost later sums up their powers? Or at least how they use them together- Cisco gets his vibes and can tell Barry where to be, Barry can run through time and Cisco can see through it, he can see the changes and other timelines. Barry can share his speed through Flashtime, and Cisco can stop a speedster in their tracks, and I think Barry's probably glad it's Cisco that ended up with the power to stop a speedster, Cisco and Iris are probably the only people he would trust with it if he had to give it to someone.
So now I want to go back to Cisco's powers being triggered by Barry changing time. If Cisco's powers come from the Speed Force, it's by Barry accessing it at that point, giving it that path into the world, and by the Speed Force deciding that is the point Cisco needs them. He gets his vibes so he can see his death, knows what happened, can learn how to avoid it this time around. And his death came at the hand of a speedster, eventually he'll get the powers to stop a speedster, to cut them off from their powers, it's like they were tailor-made so if Cisco had had powers in that moment he would have been able to stop Eobard and save his own life, like the Speed Force knows they can't protect him exactly, but they can give him the tools he needs to protect himself.
(And, well, pulling a little from the comics, Barry is the Speed Force, or it came from him, either way there's an echo of Barry within it, of course the Speed Force wanted Cisco safe, and maybe it was a part of Barry that chose to give Cisco the powers to stop him should they ever need it after all)
#thank you!#exactly how i write barry and cisco's powers relating to each other does vary a little by fic#depending on what is most useful#(gone in a flash has the most- in that they both see through each other's vibrations#and barry can see cisco when he vibes and cisco is drawn to barry and iris in his vibes)#but them both sharing a connection to the speed force is more or less a constant#dc tv universe#dc#cisco ramon#barry allen#replies#alittleflashvibe#*

Eobard Thawne (Flash) - Extra
“This Eobard Thawne must be another effect of changing timelines.” Harry stated.
Right now he was tucked in the pipeline as they tried to figure out what course of action needed to be taken.
Cisco was obviously down for vibing him to another planet. They were all pretty much done with handling all the different versions of the evil speedster. At least this time he didn’t look like Harrison Wells. It was unsettling having two Wells just casually walking around.
Barry wasn’t sure what the right decision was. No matter where he dropped him, he knew some way or another he would return to cause havoc. They were all brainstorming at this point.
“I can help.”
The new voice made them flinch. Harry went into fight mode, and he expected Caitlin, Barry and Cisco to do the same, but they just froze as if they’d seen a ghost.
“(Y/N)..” Cisco was speechless.
You just wore a sad smile.
“We thought you were dead. Eobard said the blast had killed you…that the reaction was delayed and you just disappeared. W-We never even found a body..” You could tell that it had torn him losing you like that.
“I couldn’t stay. I knew too much and if I’d intevine it would have jeopardized everything.”
“You knew?” Barry asked.
“I know everything.” Your eyes glowed that blinding white for a second before it disappeared.
“I had to let it all play out. I’m sorry about everything.”
Cisco shook his head.
With so many changing timelines and mistakes, he didn’t have it in him to be angry at you.
“I’m glad you’re alive.” He ran over, pulling you into his arms, and you held on with a smile.
“I feel like I’ve missed something completely.” Harry spoke.
Barry laughed, and soon enough, you all did.
~~
“I need to find a way to trick them.”
He just needed a plan, then he could get away and hide out in some other timeline until he could get strong enough to finally defeat Barry. The second he heard footsteps he schooled his features. The trick was making them think he was in control.
“So what’s the verdict?” He planted a confident smile. What he doesn’t expect is how calm they all seem. Another person came from around the corner, and he felt his heart stop.
“(Y/N)...”
He didn’t say it aloud. Truthfully he never thought he would see you again.
“Hi Eobard.”
You wore a gentle smile, and his mind ran back to that kiss you’d both shared. That day when you begged him to give up his hunt for revenge and join you into a much better place. You hold out your hand for him
Unconsciously, he felt himself reaching out. He touched the glass, and when he caught the gesture, he yanked his hand backwards, glaring.
“This is a trick! Do you really think they’re going to just let me walk out of here. Barry would sooner die than let me go!!”
His words held so much spite.
“I won’t.” Barry admitted.
“As much as I hate you, there’s nothing that I can do about how you see me. I can’t take you back to the future, because I know you’ll cause issues. Putting you in argus was the only option we would have. Because watching you rot in a prison would make me feel better.” Eobard gritted his teeth.
“But it wouldn’t bring my mother back. “ He says. Caitlin runs a hand down his shoulder.
“We trust (Y/N). For some reason she actually cares about what happens to you. So if she says that she can save you, then we believe her.”
Eobard realized then that he could take a chance. He had extreme faith that Argus would not hold him. In a week’s time he would be able to get himself out. He’d gotten away from worse situations.
But on the other hand…
“Come with me..”
He never forgot those words. That look of complete and utter selfless love. Like the last time, he knows it has to be his choice. He could continue down this part, or maybe, actually be happy.
“You don’t deserve happiness. All you need is revenge.”
That voice in the back of his head made him hesitate. When you moved closer and placed your hand on the glass, your body phased right through. Harry was astonished, so was everyone else.
“You deserve to be happy, you can be. All you have to do is take my hand Eobard.”
You turned over your hand, eyes filled with so much faith in someone as broken as he was. His hand trembled as he reached out for you, sliding his palm into yours. It glowed, and for the first time since he’d gotten to this timeline, he felt a sense of relief. No hate or pain or anger. Just relief.
He looked back up at you.
“I missed you.”
Your lips hadn’t moved, but he heard it.
He smiled, sliding his hand against your cheek. He almost forgot how amazing it felt to touch you.
“I missed you too.”
Your eyes shifted back to the team, and you could tell they knew that this was goodbye again.
“I love you guys.”
Cisco wiped the tear from his cheek.
“I miss you already.” He spoke. Barry sent a wave, and Caitlin smiled. Your gaze moved back to Eobard.
“Where do you want to go?”
He shook his head.
“It doesn’t matter.”
He took a step, and when he leaned in for a kiss, both your bodies dissipated with the shine of a light.
Maybe happy endings were possible after all.

YES!
I'm going to have to re-watch S2 to get a good feel about the timeline and all. I'll see once I get round to writing it if I'll expand the au through the next few seasons or just decide to go canon divergence after it.
The thing is that even while Barry is hiding his distrust of 'Jay', he's still going to slip up sometimes because he wants to protect his friends from the villain in disguise.
Barry might see some kind of hole in 'Jay's' story and try to subtly point it out and get the others to see why he's so suspicious. But because they all trust 'Jay', they gang up on Barry demanding to know what he's trying to say. For all they know 'Jay' is a helpful hero from another earth, and Barry is the one being unreasonable.
All of these accusations against Barry, along with his growing independence from needing his team to help him end up creating a wedge between them all.
Team flash don’t really notice the distance Barry is putting between them and him, because most of their focus is on zoom, Harry, and ‘Jay’. But Barry is just in the corner reliving his trauma, overthinking about how his friends never trusted him, etc.
Often times in these kinds of fics, people write Barry getting help from the rouges, but I don't really want to do that in this one because I want to put the emphasis on Barry being a damn competent hero.
Barry ends up relying on Gideon to do a lot of things. She's the only one who really listens to the things he says, and she can give him so much information that might make his investigation go faster.
Zoom probably doesn't end up breaking Barry's back in this because I want to have Barry do some strategic stuff to escape from him. He's quick on his feet, and the central city of earth 1 is far more different compared to earth 2, it's obvious that there will be a lot of hiding spaces Zoom doesn't know about.
Barry will probably try to do his best to subtly keep everyone else he loves away from 'Jay', like making sure his dad wouldn't come near the city, or just not mention Henry at all around 'Jay'.
Barry would also be really hesitant to listen to the opinions 'Jay' gives him, especially regarding speed because of all the weird vibes he gets from him. Barry could justify his hesitance with explaining his experience with Eobard, probably making 'Jay' think his plan is working. (It's really not)
"Barry you should apologize to Jay." Caitlin said, looking at him with a disappointed frown. His fists clenched in frustration for a second, too fast for everyone else in the room to see.
"Look, it's just that I don't want his feedback on how I use my speed against metas.” He didn’t get why they were all siding with a guy they just met, why wouldn’t they believe him? “I mean, don’t you remember how he wanted me to throw lightning at a guy made of sand!? They would’ve died if I did that!”
“He’s been trying to help us, you shouldn’t be so stand offish with him.” Iris cut in, attempting to make him see reason. They were the ones being unreasonable, not trusting him. “I get that you’re not as trusting since the whole man in yellow thing, but he is the one with more experience.”
All Barry could do was grumble with acknowledgement as he turned away from his friends. They seemed to take this as agreement, which he didn’t know how to feel about.
“Jay’s in the speed lab if you want to go talk to him.” Cisco pointed out.
He looked back to see everyone’s expectant looks, even Joe was crossing his arms. “… okay, okay. I'll go talk to him.” He responded, holding his arms up in a placating gesture.
They all nodded in satisfaction, Caitlin send him a grateful smile that made his stomach twist with a mix of discomfort and guilt.
As Barry sped down to the speed lab, he stopped at the entrance, thinking over what he was going to say to the man standing in there. He didn’t care what anyone else said, too many things Jay said and did weren’t adding up.
He took a deep breath before walking inside.
“Heyyy there Jay.”
Jay looked up when Barry entered the lab, the way he reacted almost made it seem like he was expecting Barry to show up. “Oh, hi Barry.”
“Sooo, I just wanted to apologise for uh- accusing you of lying and…” He trailed off towards the end, he didn’t really know what to say to him, Barry couldn’t trust him.
He thought over his words for a moment before letting out a sigh, running his hands through his mussed up hair. “I’m sorry, it’s just last time someone was this interested in my speed, he helped me for months before revealing to have murdered my mom when I was 11.””
Jay tilted his head as he pondered Barry’s apology. Honestly Barry didn’t care what he thought, he was only doing this to make his friends feel better. “It’s fine, I understand. Something similar happened to me too when I was younger.”
Barry’s ears perked up at this new information. “…you do?” He watched carefully as Jay seemed to hesitate over what he was going to say.
“Yeah, uh- my mother actually was murdered as well. So I guess something we have in common huh?”
Barry just nodded, thinking about what he could do with this new information. He had to go to Gideon, add it onto his ‘wall of crazy’ as the AI dubbed his wall covered with information.
“Again, I'm sorry about accusing you. I know everyone else thinks you’re great. Especially Caitlin.” The fact that Caitlin and Jay were developing this relationship left a bad taste on his mouth. He didn’t want his friend to get hurt by this possible villain.
The way Jay perked up at the mention of Caitlin made him want to punch him. “Really?”
“Yeah, I know she was worried when you came down here. Maybe you should check up on her. I know my presence probably wouldn’t make anything better.” And didn’t that hurt.
Jay smiled at him, giving him a pat on the back as he passed him to exit the speed lab.
It really hurt how no one was on his side.
I HAVE STUFF TO DO AND SHOULD NOT BE HERE RIGHT NOW BUT I JUST GOT A SEASON 2 AU IDEA
I’ve mentioned a couple times how frustrating it was that Barry was suspicious of ‘Jay’ and no one listened to him, so I was just thinkingggg
What if Barry pretended to trust ‘Jay’ just to get everyone off his back, so he’s a lot more cautious throughout the season (and probably tries some investigation himself)
Honestly after typing it out I don’t think much of anything would change (except an extremely satisfying “TOLD YOU SO” from Barry after Trajectory which should have happened anyway but that’s a different story Barry blames himself way too much to do that unfortunately) but yeah
#the flash#barry allen#cw the flash#tbh I kinda want to somehow fit Hal into this#I’m a sucker for halbarry#Such a shame cw decided to deprive us of their friendship#their dynamic would've been great#also the way they both drop everything for each other#Hal would believe everything barry says without a second thought#barry REALLY needs that#Have this mini fic#Kinda about Barry’s feeling towards Jay#saffi’s rambles#saffi writes

Tag list; @thebloodrobin @badasspolygenderfriend
Story list; Chapter 1 , Chapter 2
. . .
When you wake up, the apartment is eerily quiet. Usually it wouldn’t be a problem for you- but now that you have an infant- it startles you to climb out of bed and rush to the nursery across the hall.
When you find that Dante’s crib in empty, you feel your chest tighten, looking over your shoulder as you move back to the hallway, and to the kitchen, “Cisco?!”
“Morning!” Cisco greets you almost instantly with a kiss to your temple, your eyes moving around him to see Dante holding younger him, bouncing in small circles so young Dante giggled and grabbed for his shirt,
“Why didn’t you tell me he was up?” You breathe, hand at your chest, “I almost had a heart attack,”
“Easy, mami,” Cisco soothes, handing you a glass of (favorite/drink), “He got up early, and I figured you were still exhausted from yesterday so Dante and I already got him up for you,”
“Thanks,” You murmur, Cisco humming as he kisses your lips, turning to Dante now looking at his phone,
“It’s Sherloque,” Dante rolls his eyes, almost instantly so does Cisco, “We’re needed at the labs,”
“Are you gonna be okay here without me?” Cisco asks, and you smile, taking the infant from Dante with a nod,
“Gotta get used to being with him alone anyways,” You remind, “Stay safe, and Caitlins been having some struggles with her dad. Help her?”
“I’ll see what I can do,” Cisco nods, pecking your lips before moving to the door, Dante waving over his shoulder before youre left in silence again,
“Okay,” You heave, looking down at the babbling boy, “What to do...”
. . .
“Well, well, well. Liquid nitrogen,”
Cisco shines his flashlight towards Sherloques voice, stepping up next to him to the giant container, “That’s a potent accelerant, is it not? Oh this place it would have gone up,”
“So all my fathers work is completely gone?”
“Well, not necessarily,” Ralph speaks, “I mean, think about it. Police listed this fire as accidental, but they didn’t know about the connect to your father, so,”
“Ralph, my father told me to come find him,”
“I know that, but a guy who disappears on the night of a warehouse fire and who’s hard to find?”
Ralph pauses when finding a box, lifting it and setting it on the table. Within seconds, Sherloque scoffs in addition to Ralph starting an argument on Caitlins mother,
“Alright!” Cisco shouts, pushing past Ralph to grab the lid of the box, “Give me this!”
The three are forced to watch as their friends nose begins to bleed, body collapsing almost instantly so Caitlin gasped, rushing for her friend on the floor of the factory, “Cisco?”
. . .
“While you were unconscious, I scanned your wounds. There are still trace amounts of aluminum beryllium alloy fused within your hands,” Caitlin turns to Cisco on the med bed next to her, her friend running a hand down his face with a large sigh,
“See, this is- this is what I need,” Cisco laughs, irritably, “I just need rest,”
“No, Cisco, rest is not going to fix this, okay? Every time you vibe or breach, the dark matter is going to affect your central nervous system, causing you more and more pain, every time you cube, you are going to experience more and more seizures,”
“Then what am I supposed to do?” Cisco asks, loudly, sitting up so he could stare at Caitlins startled expression. He sighs and rests his head in his hands, fingers knotting into his dark locks,
“Y/N woke up from a nightmare last night,” He starts, voice quiet as he lifts his head and looks at his hands, “Of when Cicada attacked her at home yesterday, of her going into labor early. She was scared, Caitlin, because I wasn’t there and she was focused on whether or not I’d make it to see our son,”
“But she made it through it, because she’s strong,” Caitlin reassures, Cisco swallowing and shaking his head,
“But what if I hadn’t had made it?” Cisco asks, now looking up his best friend, “What if Y/N had Dante, and learned that I didn’t make it? It would have crushed her, Cait, you know that,”
“I do know that,” Caitlin nods, hand on Cisco’s knee, “When you and her were thinking of baby names, she chose the name Dante for your brother. When future Dante came, she didn’t complain of the fact that Dante looks exactly like you. When she found out Dante has her powers, she secretly wished he was a breacher like you. Because she wanted Dante to grow up to be the man you are today,”
“Y/Ns terrified of her not regaining her powers,” Cisco murmurs, curling his fingers, “She depends on her powers just as much as we all do, Nora said she’d gain them back, but, with the timeline changing and Dante being here a month early-,”
“Like you told her yesterday,” Caitlin reminds, “Her body is still healing from child birth. Both you and her need to trust the process of time,”
Cisco nods, biting his lip to calm his nerves.
. . .
When you wake up again, it’s at two in the morning and in desperate need for air. You find yourself sitting up, only sparing your sleeping husband a glance before you climb out of bed, edging towards the nursery for the third time that night.
Your footsteps are light as they move from hardwood to carpet, your hand tucking hair behind your ear as you lean over the crib, eyes staring at the bundled infant silently in slumber,
A moments pause before a hand touches your arm, a startled yelp escaping your lips so another hand covered your mouth, your eyes flicking up to Cisco’s face shining from the windows moonlighting,
Your brows furrow as you hit his chest, glancing back over to the infant in fear he had awoken, but Cisco is quietly leading you out into the hallway, his own brows pinched with worry,
“Why did you scare me?” You hiss in a whisper, hitting his chest again but then resting your hand in that spot, fingers clutching at his shirt,
“What’re you doing up again?” He whispers back, watching your held tilt towards the nursery, before his hand slides up to your jaw, guiding your eyes back to his in the dark, “Hey,” He murmurs, second hand mirroring the first on your face, “What’s going through your head?”
You clench your jaw and let your eyes flutter shut, opening them so you met Cisco’s eyes, “I had the nightmare again,” You swallow, “But this one was different,”
“How?” Cisco questions,
“I-,” You shrug, blinking so Cisco felt a tear touch his thumb, where he rubs the skin, soothingly, “In this nightmare Dante didn’t survive, him coming early caused complications,”
You sniffle, Cisco shushing you as he pulls you to his front, hand sliding to clutch at your hair,
“Hey,” Cisco whispers, your eyes shutting as you tuck your head under his chin, “We’re okay, baby. All of us,”
“But you almost weren’t,” You remind, Cisco’s eyes shutting as he exhales, “I could have lost either one of you,”
“But you didn’t,” Cisco reminds back, tilting his head down so you looked up, “You’ve got us,”
“Promise?” You plea, Cisco smiling with a nod, his lips pressing against yours, hand at your hip, tightly,
“I promise,” He murmurs, letting you lean back into him before he kisses your head, guiding you to the bedroom footsteps away.
When you wake up the fourth time, you decide sleep wasn’t your friend and settled in the living room, tea in one hand and phone in the other. Four AM. Dante would be waking up soon. Cisco eventually, too.
Your mind drifts back to the nightmares. All four times, all four nightmares were different. Cicada attacking. Early labor. Dante not surviving. Cisco not surviving.
Lucid dreams weren’t common during your pregnancy. You wondered if it was an after effect of pregnancy for you, or if Cicada attacking really took a toll on you.
You hear Cisco before you see him, his figure soon sinks down onto the couch beside you, and in silent motions, he allows you to set down your mug and press yourself against him, his arms tight around your shoulders,
“Do you wanna talk about it?” His whisper is almost ghost like, one leg spread across the couch as the other hung off the side, your body settled between and against his chest,
A small exhale, and you let your ear rest on his chest, “You didn’t make it,”
Cisco’s hand slides up your back and caresses the back of your head, in silence pressing short, slow kisses to your temple and ear,
“You know I’m not leaving, babe,”
“I know,” You murmur, nodding, “I just don’t know why I keep having these nightmares,”
“We can ask Caitlin,” Cisco hums, “See if it’s really an after effect,”
You nod a second time, allowing your body to relax as your eyes flutter shut, breaths evening out. Dante’s short cry causes you to jump, head shooting up to look over the couch, where Cisco sits up, hands on your hips,
“I got him, don’t worry,” He soothes, and you move to sit back in your previous spot, “Finish your tea,”
Your eyes watch as he disappears around the corner, sighing into your cup as you take a needed sip of the warm beverage.
. . .
“Cisco?” Said male looks up at Caitlins call, her and Barry staring at him in concern, “You okay, bud?”
Cisco’s hand runs down his face, elbow propped on his chair in thought, “What if I took a break?” At Caitlins head tilt, he exhales, “From the team?”
“Cisco Ramon,” Your appearance behind him causes him to turn around, sharply. Dante was not with you- Joe and Cecile had suggested a play date day for him and Jenna, “I’m not letting you do that,”
“Y/N,” Cisco sighs, and you shake your head, moving to stand next to Caitlin in front of him,
“No. Cisco, aside from Dante and I, this team is the most important thing to you. I’m not going to let you walk away from it because of my problems,” You hold a finger, “And I know that’s why you’re thinking this,”
“I just don’t want to be the cause of your nightmares,” Cisco states, and you close your eyes, looking down,
“Cisco, whether you’re on the team or not, I’m always going to worry about you, and them,” You nod to Barry and Caitlin, “The past four years, Barry was the pinpoint of my worry. Scared he would end up like our parents. Dante was born, he’s now the center of my worry. I’m always going to be worried- now with metas in Central City, how can I not be?”
You shake your head, “The point is, I’m not letting you leave this team. No questions asked,”
Barry smiles when Cisco leans his head against his chair and looks up at you, patting Caitlins shoulder so she nodded for him to follow her to her lab,
Cisco pushes up from his chair and rounds the control panel, arms wrapping around you, tightly, “I love you. You know that, right?”
“Always,” You smile and look up at him, Cisco cupping your face with a light laugh,
“Let’s catch Cicadas ass,”

Oops?
Hey! So! I’m not dead! Surprised? Me too!
This story was written for my good friend @comfortably-chaotic-mind - I love them, please go follow them and read whatever they post. Some ColdFlash written just for you, buddy, since I know I haven’t written much...and this is honestly kind of garbage and not in any way explicitly ColdFlash until the end, and I might eventually continue it in a real story (probably not). But anyway! Good job with school! Here you go!
Oops? a ColdFlash Fic for @comfortably-chaotic-mind - 4700 words
“Allen.”
He glanced up, fingers pausing their furious typing but still hovering over the keys. “Yeah?”
“There’s some guy at the door, says he knows you.”
Barry’s brow scrunched. “Who?”
His roommate shrugged. “Didn’t give a name. Said he was your friend, asked me to get you.” A pause, and he looked over his shoulder almost nervously. “He’s creepy, dude—I think he might be on the run. Who the fuck you hangin’ out with?”
Realization dawned, and he laughed. “Oh, okay,” he said, still laughing. “Yeah, it’s fine. It’s just Len—you can let him in.”
“You sure?”
Barry rolled his eyes. “Yes, Hal. I promise he won’t steal your stuff.”
His roommate’s eyes narrowed at that. “Even more suspicious,” he muttered, but he disappeared back into the hall.
There were muffled voices—Hal telling Len where to find him—and then the front door shut and the TV in the living room turned on. If he listened really carefully, he could hear quiet footsteps on the creaky stairs.
The door to his bedroom-slash-office opened again, and he turned back to his computer. The data report wasn’t going to finish itself. It didn’t take long for the door to shut, and then a man’s figure came to lean against the desk beside his arm.
“No Cold-Gun today?” Barry asked, conversational. “How bold of you. You know, without that thing, I could take you to jail whenever I want.”
The man scoffed. “We have a deal, Scarlet—I don’t kill, you don’t turn me in. I haven’t killed anyone, so…”
He rolled his eyes. “What do you want, Snart?” he sighed. “And how did you even find me?”
“I asked Vibe.”
Barry waited for him to continue, but he left it at that, so Barry finally stopped talking and looked up with a raised brow and a completely nonplussed expression. “What do you want, Cold?” he snapped.
Len just frowned. “What are you doing here, Scarlet?”
“What do you mean?” He gestured pointedly around them. “I’m working.”
“You work in Central City,” the man corrected, almost…grumbling.
Barry shook his head, face scrunching in utter confusion. “No, I mean—I had to go back to school.”
“Back?”
“Yeah? Back? This is where I went to get my degree in the first place, and now I have to take an updated course. Just a few weeks. I should be back by next month. I’m even getting paid for it.” He grinned, though it almost immediately fell when Len just stared at him. “What?”
“When did you get your degree?”
“Every CSI has a college degree, Snart. It’s mandatory.”
“No. When were you in Coast City?”
He shrugged. “I moved the summer after high school. School for three years, training for one, and then I went home.” The other man was silent, and his brow scrunched in concern. “Why?”
Len shook his head. “No reason,” he said quietly, glancing around the room. The way he said it indicated that there was, in fact, a reason, but that he would not be disclosing it. “What are you doing back?”
“Refresher course,” Barry replied slowly. “They updated the curriculum for the new tech we have now, and Singh offered to send me back here instead of doing the course in Central, since Coast City is way better in the university department.”
The other man didn’t ask anything else, still looking around the room, and the speedster sighed deeply.
“Look, Snart, I have a lot of work to do, so if there’s a reason for this visit, please get to—”
“What was it like,” he interrupted, the words rough and halting, as if he were forcing them out of his throat, “for you, when you were in your coma?”
Barry blinked in surprise. “How do you know about that?”
“Humor me, Scarlet.”
“I…” He hesitated before shaking his head. “Well, it was hard, at first. Not just because I woke up with superspeed, but—when I was…asleep…I was just dreaming. About anything, everything—and it didn’t really feel like anything more than just regular dreams and stuff. And then I woke up, and it had been, like…nine, ten months without me even noticing. So I had to deal with that.” He sighed. “The world just kind of…I mean, the world doesn’t stop because a random CSI is in a coma. No one really cared—No one other than Iris and Joe, and STAR Labs kinda. So, yeah. It was rough for a while. Everything had changed, and I didn’t even get to see it.”
Len was quiet for a long moment. Barry watched him carefully, searching for any sign as to what this was all about.
Finally, the older man sighed and shook his head. “How did you know it was me at the door?”
“Hal’s description,” he replied without hesitation. “He’s pretty intuitive about stuff. Said you looked like you were on the run, and creepy, and suspicious, but if he thought you were actually dangerous, he would have come out and said it. And you’re the only one I know that could pull that off and still say, I’m a friend of Barry’s, can you get him? with a totally straight face.” He shrugged. “Anyone else who might have done that is still in Central. I got an update last night—they all went out to celebrate Caitlin’s first official catch.” He grinned.
Len rolled his eyes. “You left a bunch of newbies to protect the city,” he sighed disapprovingly.
Barry frowned. “You know, when we first met, I was a newbie,” he pointed out. “I had only been a speedster for like—a month.” He huffed. “Cisco and Iris have it under control for now. It’s fine. The city’s in good hands.”
“I don’t like it.”
The speedster paused, head tilted as his eyes narrowed. “Why?”
“I just don’t. A lot can happen without the Scarlet Speedster around.”
“There are three other speedsters in town right now. I think they’ll be fine.”
“None of them are you.”
“What’s your point, Len?” he sighed, exasperated now. “Did something happen?”
“No.”
Just then, Barry’s alarm sounded, startling him. It was noon: officially lunchtime. He huffed, shutting down his laptop and standing to stretch. Then his phone started beeping again—not his alarm, this time, but his text-tone. And then it started ringing. Like, ringing ringing, in the way it only did when Cisco’s latest installation was being put to use.
He had only let him put the app on his phone a few weeks ago, before going to Coast City, just in case. If several people called him at once, he could choose which he wanted to answer rather than hearing the busy-line beeping noise when he answered the phone.
Barry raised a brow and reached for the device.
Len grabbed his arm, pulling him back. “Don’t answer that,” he all but ordered. “Trust me.”
“Why?” His face scrunched. “What’s going on?” he demanded.
“They’re just going to tell you that I’m on my way here,” the man explained carefully. “And since I’m already here, you don’t need to know.”
“How did you get here so fast, then?” Barry retorted.
“Kara lent me her generator.” Len shrugged. “She was…strangely nice.” His brow rose. “I’m guessing you only told her the good parts, and not that I’m a criminal?”
The speedster ran a hand through his hair. “Maybe? By the time I met her, you were with the Legends.” He paused. “How did you meet her?”
“Long story.”
“Obviously, I’ve got time.” He crossed his arms and glared pointedly. “What the hell is going on, Len? What did you do in Central that has everyone trying to get ahold of me? When did you get back from the Waverider? Why are you here?”
“I didn’t know where else to go!” Len shouted, expression crumpling. “Mick won’t talk to me, Lisa’s underground, Sara thinks I’ve lost my mind, and the rest of the crew—they can barely look at me after what they did! What they let me do!”
Barry was utterly confused, now, and he took a slow step forward as if approaching a scared, wounded animal. “What are you talking about?” he asked carefully.
“I died, Barry.”
He froze—actually froze, standing stock-still like a robot shutting down. This was… “What?” he asked. “What…That…What?”
Len sighed, slumping down into the vacated office chair. “The Time Masters were—They were gonna let Vandal Savage wreck the timeline. Kill whoever he wanted. They said they had to, to ensure the world’s survival.”
“What does that mean?”
“In a couple hundred years, we’re going to be invaded by Thanagaar—an alien planet with a warlike people. And the Time Masters don’t think we’ll make it unless Savage is there to help us. So, they let him do what he wants, shape the world into what he thinks is best, and he’ll save the world.”
“It’s Vandal Savage, Len. He can’t be trusted.”
“I know,” he snapped. “We all knew that.” He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “We decided to destroy their time-keeping device. The Oculus, they called it. It held the records for every timeline, every little change that would or could occur. Destroy that, and time is guided by freewill.”
“And?”
“And the only way to destroy it was to stand right next to it, holding down the button until it exploded.” He looked up, watching the horror dawn across Barry’s face, and nodded. “Ray was going to be the one, thinking his Atom suit would protect him, but we saw that it wouldn’t. And then Mick tried to step in, because Rip convinced him it was the way to repent—by saving his friend. I couldn’t—I couldn’t let him die.”
“Len…”
“I couldn’t let Mick die, Barry,” he snapped. “Not like that. Not when I—I was the one who dragged him into the whole thing. Into the Legends. He followed me, after everything, after everything I did to him, and…and I couldn’t do it.”
“I get it.”
“I knocked him out, took his place…blew up the Oculus. Took out half the Time Masters, too.”
“And then?”
“I died. Disintegrated. Became…Nothing.”
Barry reached out to set a hand on his shoulder, brow scrunched in sympathy. “How long?”
“I don’t know.” Len shook his head. “Days? Years? Centuries? I…I wasn’t sleeping, exactly, or dreaming. It was all…real. And then you were there. Every time I managed to pull myself together, every time I relaxed into the pain enough to think…You were there.”
He was confused again. “I don’t remember…”
The man was already shaking his head. “An older version of you,” he clarified. “You were…maybe thirty?” He sighed. “There were so many fragments, different timelines…It’s hard to keep track. Most of them didn’t make sense.”
“Why?”
“I’d rather not say. If you don’t mind.”
Barry shrugged. “That’s fine, I guess. It’s your trauma.” He sighed. “So this was maybe…three, four years in the future.”
“Most of it.”
“And the rest?”
Len looked away at that, silent for a minute. Then, quietly, “The last one was a few weeks ago. He brought me back to the Waverider.”
“He?”
“You…Future-You.” He chuckled softly. “I fell through a wormhole onto his kitchen floor.”
Barry laughed. “I’m sure that was surprising.”
Len shrugged. “He didn’t seem surprised. But it could have been because he was older.”
“What do you mean, he didn’t seem surprised?”
“He…” Hesitation, again. “He just leaned over and said, Finally. Then he helped me up, explained some science stuff that I couldn’t understand, and offered to take me back to my time.”
“How old was he—I?” Barry stuttered.
“Forty? Maybe forty-five?” Another shrug. “You might have been older, though—I had a feeling. Speedster aging must be slower.”
“Strange.” He shook his head. “How long did you stay with the Legends?”
“Not long. Like I said, they can barely stand to be around me.” He sighed. “It didn’t take much to get them to drop me off in 2016.”
“You still haven’t told me how you met Supergirl. She’s on another Earth, Len—the Waverider couldn’t have taken you there, and I don’t think you have any favors left with Cisco. So how did you meet?”
Len nodded, thoughtful. “That…is complicated.”
“More complicated than literally dying?”
“Yes.”
Barry huffed and sat down on his bed, crossing his arms. “Hit me with it, then.”
“First of all, I didn’t meet her this year. I met her…probably at least fifteen or twenty years from now. It’s all a little fuzzy.”
“Why?”
“She—Well, her team, really…They were the ones who pulled my threads together.” He shook his head. “They didn’t mean to, not really—they were looking for some sort of robot, or something—but they got me out first. I was unconscious for that part. Woke up in a hospital bed next to Kara’s.”
“She was hurt?”
Len shook his head again. “Not exactly…More drained. The machine they used drew power from her. She insisted it was fine, that she just needed some Vitamin D, and she’d be fine.”
“Her power comes from the Sun.”
“I know that now—I didn’t know back then.” He sighed. “She asked who I was…and when I told her, she immediately asked if I knew you and Oliver.”
“Of course she did,” he muttered. “And then?”
“I don’t remember a lot of it,” Len admitted. “She gave me one of her spare generators, and then I woke up on Older-Barry’s kitchen floor.” A scoff. “And then I get home to a crew that no longer wants anything to do with me. They dropped me off in Central. I looked for Lisa, but it looks like she’s underground—she’s not at any of her usual safehouses.”
Barry grimaced, shifting slightly in his seat. “Um…”
The former villain narrowed his eyes. “What’s that, Scarlet?”
He winced. “Lisa’s not underground, Len.”
“What are you talking about? Is she in jail?”
“No…” Barry sighed. “She’s on Earth-2.”
“Why?” Len demanded, lurching from his seat.
“Because she’s sick,” he said calmly, holding his hands up in a placating gesture. “Harry—Earth-2 Wells knew a doctor who specializes in her condition, one who’s much better than anyone we know on this Earth, and we sent her over there to get help. Cisco’s probably on his way there right now to tell her you’re back.” He paused. “Actually, she’s probably with the you who lives there, now that I think about it.”
“What?” That made him pause in his anger, at least, now confused and concerned. “Why?”
“I don’t think you want to know,” Barry hedged. “But she’s in good hands, I promise.”
“Just tell me, Barry.”
“Fine,” he sighed. “The doctor I told you about, the specialist? It’s her—Earth-2 Lisa Snart is a bio-engineer with a Medical Degree. Basically, she’s Caitlin. Minus the ice powers and with the addition of some pretty sweet inventions.” He grimaced. “Her brother is…the Mayor. Of Central City. They killed their dad when they were kids—self-defense.”
Len was quiet for a moment. Then: “You’ve met, then?”
He nodded. “Twice, actually. Once on accident…and then again when Harry introduced us to Lenny and Doc. They’re…nice. Safe. Very protective, which isn’t surprising.” He grinned. “Last I talked to Lisa, she was awake and feeling a lot better. She hasn’t had an episode in almost two months, and her brain activity is back to normal. She sounds better, too—more like herself. Even flirted with Cisco when they talked, which she hadn’t done in a while…”
“She’s okay, then?”
“Not at a hundred percent yet,” Barry warned with a shrug. “But yeah. She’s safe. Happy. Feeling better than she did when she first came to us.”
“What happened?”
“She just—Showed up at Joe’s one night, out of nowhere. I think it was maybe a month or so after you left—she had called Cisco before that, asking if we knew where you were, and we told her, and she was pissed at me for some reason.” He laughed, just a little. “Then she just shows up out of nowhere at Joe’s house, scares the hell out of me when she just walks right through the front door. Which was locked.” He shook his head. “Apparently, she stole your key?” His brow raised.
Len just smirked. “Lock-picking gets tedious after a while.”
“Where did you even—”
“Iris should be more careful about leaving her purse lying around.”
“…Whatever.” Barry huffed. “So, anyway, Lisa just walks in one night—middle of the night, out of nowhere—sits right next to me on the couch, scaring the hell out of me. She looks at me, and I could already tell something was messed up with her, because she just…she didn’t look right. She looked tired and sad and…sick.” He sighed. “She looked at me for a minute and then said, Don’t freak out. You know, like she hadn’t just appeared out of nowhere. And then she said, I need your help. And I was like, With what? And she told me she ran into an old boyfriend and he did something to her.”
“What the f—”
“Not that,” he assured quickly. “That was my first thought, but she kind of lost it when I asked her, and—yeah. So then, when she calmed down from that, she got this headache…migraine…thing, and that was when I first saw her get one of her attacks.” He grimaced. “It was…bad. Weird, and scary, and it actually kind of freaked me out.” A sigh. “So, uh, I called Caitlin first, and then Cisco and Harry, and asked them to meet us at STAR Labs. Harry had actually seen something like it before, on his Earth, and he knew a specialist—other-Lisa—who could help. So we took her there. She insisted that I had to come with her, and she wouldn’t let me leave until she was with Lenny and Doc, until she was sure she could trust them.”
Len thought this all over for a moment. “What exactly did this attack entail?”
“Hard to describe…” Barry thought about it. “She kind of…exploded? Not her body, but like…her spirit, kind of. Like an astral projection, except she couldn’t control it enough to actually appear as a person.” He sighed. “We met the ex-boyfriend a few weeks later…Roscoe?”
“Dillon.” He sneered. “He’s still around?”
“Not anymore,” the speedster said darkly. “He was a metahuman…some kind of tornado-hurricane-spinning abilities. Cisco called him Topsy-Turvy, but after he just kept coming and coming…it was an accident, but he died.”
“How did he hurt Lisa?”
“As far as we can tell…She was working on some sort of mercenary work or something, and he was robbing a bank, and they…literally ran into each other. She got thrown into a wall, got a knock on the head, and apparently the concussion triggered some kind of ability she didn’t know about.”
“She wasn’t in Central—”
“When the Particle Accelerator blew.” Barry nodded. “Yeah, we know.” He winced. “You’re not gonna like our theory on that.”
“Why not?” Len asked, very slowly.
“Because it might be my fault.”
He blinked, surprised. “What?”
“Turns out…I kind of…give off small amounts of Dark Matter because of the Speed Force…mostly when I run.”
“And?”
“And, the people that I transport, if they carry a metahuman gene, could, theoretically, absorb that Dark Matter in the same way that people affected by the Particle Accelerator did…and, theoretically, this would make them more likely to develop an ability when exposed to violent trauma.” A pause. “I transported Lisa a handful of times when we were helping you guys last year, and even before that for different reasons.”
Len didn’t say anything to this, instead looking down at his hands.
“I’m sorry, Len,” Barry said quietly. “If I’d known…”
“It’s not your fault,” he told him. “You didn’t know.”
“I…”
“Not every bad thing that happens is your fault, Scarlet,” Len said with a smirk. “It’s alright.”
Barry huffed. “Fine.” He was quiet for a minute. “If you want, I can take you to her. You know, so you can see for yourself.”
He thought about it for a bit before shaking his head. “No,” he decided. “If she’s getting what she needs, I don’t want to interrupt it. If Cisco does tell her and she wants to see me, I’ll go, but for now, she needs her rest.”
The speedster nodded in understanding. “Okay.” His phone was still ringing, and he looked at it. “I’m just gonna tell them that everything is fine.”
He picked up the device, ignoring the calls, and opened the group chat, which was full of about a hundred messages that all said pretty much the same thing. He sent out a text saying, Yeah, he’s here. Just wants to talk about some stuff. Everything is fine. Thanks, I’ll let you know later. Love you guys.
With that, Barry sighed and slipped the phone into his pocket. “So, what are you going to do now?” he asked the former villain.
Len just smiled. “Not sure. I could go back to robbing banks…but I don’t really need the money. Maybe I’ll offer your team some help in Central.”
“What do you mean, you don’t need the money?” His eyes narrowed.
“Blowing up the Oculus had a few benefits.” He shrugged. “I know all the lottery numbers for the next five years. I’ve already made four-hundred grand.”
“Len…”
“Technically not a crime.”
“Still.” Barry shook his head with a deep sigh. “Fine, whatever. Well, I’m sure STAR Labs could use the help. And I’ll be back in no time…as soon as I finish this course, which is…not what I expected.”
“Too hard?”
“Too easy,” he corrected, scoffing. “I’ve read all the material, and the projects are all…solved with very little effort. Nothing near as challenging as my actual job in Central. Science there is always complicated.”
“Because of the metas.”
“Yeah.” He shrugged. “Superpowers make regular science look way easier than it did in college.” He nodded at the computer. “Actually, after the paper I’m working on right now, I only have two more and a final exam. I could be done by next week, if I wanted. I just don’t want Singh to think I rushed through it.”
“He already trusts you more than any other CSI, Barry. I think he trusts you to do the work on your own schedule.”
“Maybe.”
“Then I’ll see you back in Central next week.”
“I—”
“Next week, Barry.”
A sigh. “Fine. Next week.” His phone buzzed, he looked at the message and laughed. “Harry says your sister is attempting a prison break to try to see you. You might want to visit her.”
Len chuckled. “Alright then. I suppose it’s time to tell her what’s happened.” He stood, holding out a hand when Barry followed suit. When their hands clasped, the villain-turned-legend pulled the speedster forward until they were almost hugging. “I’ll see you soon, Scarlet.”
“See you soon, Cold.”
And with the press of a button, Len was gone, leaving Barry to wonder exactly what just happened.

6 Weeks Later
“Barry…”
“Iris…”
She sighed. “This is getting unprofessional.”
He laughed, a little nervous. “What are you talking about?”
“You and Len.” It had taken a while for everyone to get used to each other, but now he was just Len instead of Cold. Progress. “You guys have got to stop flirting in the field. It’s weird.”
“We do not flirt.”
“You’re literally blushing, Barry.” Her tone was amused now. “Do you have a crush?”
“Iris,” the speedster all but whined, pulling a t-shirt over his head. “This is weird.”
“Why? Because we dated?”
“Yes!”
“Barely.” Iris rolled her eyes. “Barry, it’s fine. You have a crush on Len, it’s fine…but you should probably tell him.”
“No!” he said immediately. “No, that’s—That’s a bad idea.”
“Why? I’m pretty sure he likes you.”
That made him pause. “Really?” He bit his lip, looking at her. “You think so?”
“Lisa keeps teasing him about it.” She nodded. “And you’re both clearly attracted to each other, and you’re always flirting, so…Why not just come out and say it?”
“What if you’re wrong?”
“I’m not.”
“What if it ends badly?”
“What if it doesn’t?” Iris laughed brightly. “Barry, sometimes you get in your own way. You just gotta go for it sometimes. Take a leap of faith. It’s gonna be okay.”
Barry was quiet for a long time, and Iris eventually left him to his own devices.
Ultimately, he decided to go for it; he went to find Len. Unsurprisingly, he was at “their” spot: a diner across from Jitters and CCPD, filled with leather booths and chrome and the smell of fresh homemade pie.
Barry slid into the booth across from Len, who looked up from his phone with a smile. “Hey, Scarlet. Look at this.”
He turned the device around so the speedster could see. “What’s that? Oh—Oh, that’s so cool!” He grinned. “Lisa-Squared?”
“Yeah. Lisa drew up the models, and Doc built it. It came out pretty neat, I think.”
“It did, yeah. I like the melting feature—there won’t be ice-streaks all over the city.” He laughed. “Of course they’re gold—Lisa’s choice, I’m sure.”
“Naturally.” Len shrugged. “You can’t take the Gold out of the Glider, I guess. Not completely.”
“No, I guess not.” Barry leaned his head on his palm, elbow on the table.
The newly-branded Citizen Cold raised a brow and put his phone away. “Something on your mind, Barry?”
He shrugged. “Iris came to talk to me today.”
“What about?”
“She said that we flirt a lot when we’re in the field.” He scrunched his nose. “I told her she was crazy, and she looked at me like I was an idiot…not unlike you’re looking at me right now, Len—what the hell?”
“Barry,” he said quietly, slowly, “I don’t know how to break this to you, but almost everything we say to each other is banter…which is a form of flirting.”
“But—But,” Barry sputtered. “But!”
“What’s wrong, Scarlet?” Len teased. “Can’t keep up?”
He frowned, almost pouting. “You never said anything,” he accused.
The other man shrugged. “I was told not to.”
“By who?”
“By you. Older you—The one who brought me back. He said you had to figure it out on your own.”
Barry stammered again, arms flailing. “What the hell!” he said, frustrated. “That’s stupid!”
“You’re calling yourself an idiot?” Len clarified.
“Yes! I’m an idiot, now, but like—that’s just stupid.” He sighed. “I mean, I guess it makes sense to keep the timeline the way it should be. But still.”
They were both quiet for a long minute. Long enough for a waitress to come by and take drink orders and then bring them back.
Once she disappeared, Barry took a sip of his soda and then suddenly blurted, “Will you go with me to Jesse’s party on Earth-2 this weekend?”
Len raised a brow. “Are you sure that’s a good idea? That’s a lot of pressure.”
“It’s just a party, Len,” he said with a grin. “All our friends will be there, and we can be together without doing the awkward first-date thing…I mean, we already did a lot of that without realizing. Unless you want to…”
There was a pause as he thought about it, enough to make Barry almost panic, but Len nodded slowly. “Alright. But I have two requests.”
“Shoot.”
“One: If Caitlin makes her Speedster Alcohol, you have to stop drinking at least two hours before we leave. I want you sober when we head out.”
“Why?”
“Because, two: I want to go for a walk. We’re not doing the first-date-awkward dinner thing, and movies aren’t something we have time for, but we can go for a walk and talk about things.” A pause. “It’s important, to me.”
Barry thought about this, about what it might mean, but he didn’t see a reason to say no. Besides… “That sounds nice. Okay. I won’t drink too much, and I’ll stop before we leave so we can go talk. It’s a deal.”
“It’s a date, Scarlet.”
“A date, Cold.”

Part 1 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5
You brushed your damp hair from any remaining knots, the remnants from the warm shower no longer lingering on your body. Taking in a breath, you smelled freshly of raspberry delight from your shampoo and conditioner combo. Nothing beats getting clean. Placing the hairbrush down, you braided your locks into a French Braid that Jesse had taught you to do. You sighed at the thought, turning to look at the picture frame that remained on your bedside counter. It was just last year that everything was ok. A shiver had gone down your spine.
The frame held a picture of you, Harry, and Jesse at a Christmas Gala back on Earth 2. Your fingers ran over the cool glass when you picked up the fame, taking a seat on your bed. Jesse and you had wide grins, thoroughly enjoying the night, while Harry had a small smile laced onto his face as he stood in between you both with an arm around you and her, a glint of light evident in his deep blue eyes. Harry and Jesse had been making progress on restoring his intelligence, something that Marlize DeVoe hadn’t done a great job of doing Jesse had commented. And much to the dismay of some of Jesse’s hero group, Jesse pushed forward with helping her father. Honestly, you knew Harry wasn’t just going to sit around and be an Average Joe. What was it that Cisco called them? Jesse and the Quicksters? Yeah, that sounds about right. You laughed to yourself a bit, remembering how Harry hated the name your friend had given Jesse and her group.
Vrr, vrr
Your phone vibrated, bringing you out of your thoughts. Lowering the picture frame into your lap, your fingers still danced over the glass pane. Picking up your phone, you saw a text notification from Cisco.
Ciscito: Hey, you still up? (10:45 PM)
You: Yeah, what’s up Vibe? (10:46 PM)
Ciscito: I think Chester and I made the necessary modifications needed to connect the Cerebral Inhibitor to the Mindscape machine. Schematics and diagnostics seem to be running smoothly, but without a test run we can’t be too sure. (10:48 PM)
Ciscito: Have you talked to Cecile? (10:49 PM)
You: Yeah, she said she’s free all of tomorrow, but if something were to come up she’d let me know. Also, I sorta got persuaded into babysitting Jenna next time Cecile and Joe need a date night, but that’s fine with me. (10:51 PM)
You: That’s why I’m going to have Harry and Sherloque, maybe even our salty German Wells be our fresh pairs of eyes for this. (10:54 PM) One wrong calculation and well…
Ciscito: Ugh, please don’t mention said Herr Wolfgang “stick-up-my-ass” Wells (10:55 PM)
Ciscito: You feeling ok? Need me to come over? (10:55 PM)
You: No, I don’t wanna steal you from Kamila. She’s going to need you with what she experienced in the Mirror Dimension. And Eva’s still on the loose. (10:55 PM)
Ciscito: But are you feeling ok? (10:55 PM)
You: Honestly, I’m scared Cisco. What if I’m wrong? What if all of this is wrong? Like I said I’m just a doctor, I don’t know if my thought process even works with the new rules of physics with this new timeline… What if I’m the reason that I don’t get to see Harry again? That we don’t get to see him and Jesse. (10:57 PM)
Ciscito: Hey! No! You listen to me, and you listen to me well. We’ve done this before. We didn’t think it was possible for multiple universes to even exist, but it did. Closing the breaches to trap Zoom, we figured it out with Harry. Nazis from Earth-X crashing the West-Allen Wedding suddenly happened, but then we saved the day with everyone. (10:59 PM)
Ciscito: Hell, we didn’t even know how to perform an exorcism until a couple of weeks ago! Scientifically might I add, despite all the things Cecile brought in. We Expecto Patronum-ed the shit out of Thawne. He’s just lurking around like the pissed off, red-eyed Voldemort that he is now. (11:00 PM)
Ciscito: My point is, have a little faith in yourself. If it’s anything that HR taught me, is that you don’t have to be a genius or a physicist to come up with a plan to save the ones you love. (11:00 PM)
Ciscito: Remember that. (11:01 PM)
You: Thank you Cisco, I really don’t know what I’d do without you. 11:01 PM)
Ciscito: Yeah, I mean, that’s why I’m here. All in a good day’s work, you know. Doing the Lord’s job, blessing others with my existence and advice. (11:02 PM)
You: Wow, Ciscito, I can practically feel the narcissism through the texts. (11:03 PM)
Ciscito: Is that what you still have me on your phone as? (11:04 PM)
You: You’ll never know~ (11:05 PM)
You: Goodnight Ciscito~! (11:05 PM)
Ciscito: Wait (11:06 PM)
Ciscito: No, this is serious! (11:06 PM)
Ciscito: CHANGE IT!! (11:06 PM)
***
With hurried footsteps, you entered into the Speed Lab seeing the Mindscape machine all set up with the Cerebral Inhibitor perched on a nearby table. Chester was working on creating some algorithms for Sally and the other STAR Labs Satellites while Cisco tinkered with the Neural Splicer. Nash was already in the room, hovering over them and messing with Cisco. The leather jacket you wore seemed to carry a bit more weight on your shoulders, you made a head nod at each of them. You peeled your jacket off, not being able to stand it against you anymore. Not really registering Chester’s chattering and enthusiasms to Cisco about opening up multiple dimensions and the endless possibilities of technological advancements that could come from such discovery, you took a seat on a mobile stool nearby. Running a hand through your hair, your brain rifled through your doubts. What if I end up frying Nash’s mind? A pang of hurt struck your chest because then not only would he be dead, but so would all the other Wells if your assumptions about due to their existence in his mindscape were correct consistent wavelengths. Their hypothetical blood would be on my hands.
Once Cisco had threatened Nash to leave him to work in peace, you approached the slyly grinning adventurer. “Hey, I just wanted to thank you.” You pocketed your hands in the back pockets of your jeans and gave him a small smile.
“For what?”
“I don’t know. I guess for taking a chance on me and coming back. Even if you didn’t know what was going on.”
Nash pursed his lips for a moment, shaking his head for a bit, “Oddly enough, I had a gut feeling that told me an adventure always comes with your Team’s calls.” A cheeky laugh left him. “You guys just always go out looking for trouble, huh.”
*Speak for yourself,* you deadpanned in your thoughts, but let him continue.
“Lucky for you all, I happened to be available, so why not pop in. If this does work, then…” The dark-haired Wells trailed off, looking over the Speed Lab, “Then you get your Wells back. But-”
“-But?-” You raised a suspicious eyebrow at him, crossing your arms.
“You owe me.”
“Excuse me?”
“You heard me, little lady. You owe me and when the time is right,” he paused in thought, “I’ll cash that favor in.”
You scoffed and unfurled your arms, an incredulous look on your face, “What? Nash, you-”
“Hey, sorry I’m late,” Cecile interrupted you, entering the labs with Baby Jenna in her stroller. You rolled your eyes at him, gesturing and mouthing that this conversation wasn’t over. Nash just smirked to himself. Heading over to Cecile, you gave her a hug. “Jenna gave me a bit of a tantrum getting dressed today.”
“No problem, thanks for doing this Cecile.”
“Always here whenever you guys need me.” The metahuman attorney gave Jenna a toy to stay preoccupied until this was over. Cecile turned back to you, a look that’s all too familiar crossing her face. “You couldn’t sleep.” You made a sheepish look before heading over to one of the computers, setting up the software to monitor physiological and psychological functions. Cecile followed close, reading you, “Or more like you didn’t want to sleep.”
You opened your mouth to speak only to be cut off by that motherly look she had on her face. Closing your mouth, you shut your eyes for a moment before reopening them, “I guess I was nervous. I mean, a lot’s at stake here, Cecile.”
“Uh -uh, what did I say about negative attitudes in my labs,” Cisco strode close, handing you the one MAD 2.0 after setting down the Neural Splicer. You stuck your tongue at him, “We want him back just as much as you, all of them, so don’t worry. We’re Team Flash. When have things not gone our way?” You and Cecile just made a face at him as he handed Cecile one MAD 2.0. “Actually, don’t answer that, anyway- Party people, let’s get a move on.”
You and Cecile put on the MAD 2.0’s meanwhile Cisco sedated Nash, who’s currently lying on a gurney and had the MAD 2.0 on already. Caitlin had told him the sedation would last a few hours, but would keep Nash’s body under normal cellular and molecular regulation. Making eye contact with Cecile, you nodded as if to say that you were ready. Your nerves spiked slightly in anticipation, the hairs at the back of your neck sticking up. She held a hand for you which you took, shutting your eyes in focus and allowing her to transport you into Nash’s mind.
***
Opening your eyes, you find Nash right in front of you before looking around. *I guess what you indulge in becomes your mindscape* you thought as your eyes scanned the cold-looking cave walls with lights hung up on them to illuminate the paths.
“Alright, I’ll be monitoring your vitals until Caitlin comes back, but in the meantime Cecile and I will be here in case anything happens,” Cisco voiced out to you and Nash, but you had stopped listening and pushed past Nash. But where? You had no clue, you just needed to start moving.
“Ah, hey-” Nash followed with quick steps until he was beside you. “Shouldn’t you be letting me lead the way? This *is* my mind and everything. I’d know it best.”
“Perhaps, but I didn’t see you moving. The one who’s supposedly quick on his feet as a multi-versal explorer.”
“Snarky, I can see why Harry would like you,” Nash let out a little laugh, his words making you grin slightly. “And it’s geological myth-busting, ah-thank-you-very-much.”
You pursed your lips for a moment and stopped, turning towards him, “Be honest with me Nash, do you think I’m being delusional about this?”
“Delusional? Never. Conflicted? Slightly. But hopeful,” he adjusted his jacket and started walking with you in toe, observing the caves and mentally remembering where he had last seen both Wells doppelgangers. “Even with that shred of doubt within you, I can see that you haven’t let it consume the hope you have left. Hope is important, it gives life meaning. How else would a physician such as yourself come up with a brilliantly thought-out plan?”
He glanced at you with a quirked-up eyebrow, sending you a witty smile that was oddly comforting. Maybe because he wore the face of the man you trusted the most. You smiled to yourself and looked on ahead. Hope, sounds something up Kara’s alley really. You both had passed by a couple of exits or cave-memory outlets actually.
“So, based off what Cisco told me when he exorcised Thawne out of you, each cave outlet has a memory of yours? Whether good or bad. And only you’d be able to get into it?”
“Give or take. Thawne apparently rifled through all my memories, so I’m less keen on having the others do the same.”
“Did you install a little battle droid or something, Solo?” You joked.
“Ha-ha, not exactly. And an adventurer never shares their secrets without getting something in return.”
“Touché, Nash. Touché.”
You two continued to walk for god knows how long (Cisco checked in to say that 35 minutes had passed since you’ve entered, and that Caitlin had finally returned) until voices reached your ears. Stopping in your tracks, you and Nash were currently on the top part of a slight rocky incline structure within his mind. He stopped beside you, squinting at the sight in front of him. From a good distance you can see a group of Wells, in an enclosed circle, heatedly discussing something with each other as insults and science-y words were thrown around. Very loudly, might you add. They were none-the-wiser about yours and Nash’s appearance. From afar, one wore a dark fedora and the other had platinum white hair while the remaining two had dark hair. One dark-haired Wells had their back facing you. Is… is that one wearing sunglasses inside a cave??? Your eyes widened as one of the voices distinctly made your heart jump: gruff, sarcastic, and full of irritation towards the other men.
“Oh my god,” fell out of your mouth in a shaky whisper, standing stunned in place. Your body refusing to even synthesize tears at this point.
At that same moment, Nash had turned his head towards you, reaching a hand out to stop you, “Ah, hey- (Y/N) don’t-” but you had already started running down the slight incline. Not too steep enough to pick up way too much speed, but good enough for you to keep running.
“Shit,” Nash cursed, yelling out to one of the Wells in the group that he can see clearly just as you had started running. “Sherlock!” Nash made his way down the incline albeit a bit slowly, gauging the forthcoming interaction with the group.
“Hm, its Sherloque,” Sherloque immediately perked up at the sound of the voice calling his name incorrectly, eyes easily spotting you in the dim-ish part of this mind-cave as you were closing in. “Uh, ’arry. ‘arry!”
“What?!”
“Incoming,” the detective quickly altered his doppelganger and pointed a finger behind him. “Incoming très vite!” The other two Wells turned as well with confused looks.
“What?” Those words left Harry’s mouth, turning his body around in one fluid motion only for your body to launch into his arms. Knocking the tall Earth 2 genius back a little, but not enough to have you both fall to the ground. Your arms wrapped around him tightly as your head buried itself in his chest.
Harry had stood there, the shock leaving his body after a second or so. His arms circling around you instantly, a soft expression crossing his face as his eyes shut. The dark-haired man breathed you in. Reopening his beautiful baby blues, he kissed the top of your head before you both pulled away slightly. A hand gently cupped your face while the other held onto your upper arm as if checking if you were an illusion or not. It always blew your mind to pieces and made your heart swell at the way he handled you. How his callous hands can manipulate machinery and tools, yet gently caress you as if you’re made of the most fragile material to ever exist on any earth.
“Hey,” he whispered in that gruff voice of his, eyes filled with such warmth at the sight of you. Your hands rested on his firm chest, a thumb rubbing the material of his black sweater. His thumb brushed your cheek, feeling the growing heat on your skin. Feeling you against him. It was weird. Your psyche self and his interacting like this in Nash’s mindscape, yet feeling utterly and impossibly real to the touch.
“Hi,” you responded with that silly star-struck grin never leaving your face, the heat on your cheeks growing. You might as well had heart eyes popping out of your face. You saw him check over you, seeing if the Crisis had done anything in any way to change you from what would have been something so familiar.
Sherloque had a small smile on his face at the reunion, Sonny had that wide smirk on his features before nudging the uptight German beside him. Said German only rolled his eyes slightly as he adjusted his glasses but knowing deep down that it’s nice to see someone else other than a Harrison Wells doppelganger. Wolfgang won’t admit it because it’s just not his style. Nash had stood a little back behind you, nodding at the three gentlemen as the couple in front of him literally forgot the existence of him and the other Wells men.
Sherloque cleared his throat, “Now is that anyway to say ‘ello to us, good doctor?”
You blinked snapping out of your trance with Harry, looking over to the rest. You and Harry broke apart from the hug with you doing a tiny excited wave, “Hey, sorry about that.” At the same time, Harry’s hand found yours and intertwined your fingers together.
“No problem, Doll,” Sonny responded in that Brooklyn accent of his. Harry raised an eyebrow at him.
Wolfgang was the last Wells you made friendly eye contact with, but you noticed something. “I like-” you gestured to the slight facial hair on his face, “-the goatee thing you’ve got going on . It suits you.”
“Danke,” Wolfgang’s cheeks were dusted a slight pink color. He played with his glasses a bit.
“Now what brings a beautiful dame like you to these dark depths?” Harry shot a glare at Sonny for the pet names, he mistakenly held your hand a bit tighter and it made your heart beat a bit louder. You only raised your eyebrows at this Wells as he had spoken to you. Sonny just shrugged to which Harry narrowed his eyes even more. Oh, if looks could kill.
“We-” Nash started, stepping close to stand beside you while Harry was on the other side, “-have a proposition.” You five now stood in an enclosed circle.
You gulped, licking your lips and criticizing yourself for getting too caught up in the moment when every second should be spent on your theory, “I think I found a way to bring you guys back.” The Wells men froze, their eyes lighting up for a fraction before glancing at one another. Sherloque nodded at you. “Each and every one of you.” You snuck a peek at Harry, who’s eyes met yours instantly.
“Vell,” Wolfgang was the first one to break the silence that had shifted, “let’s hear it. Bitte.”
***
You explained your theory to them about multi-dimensions, the equipment that would be used, and what Team Flash had been doing so far. You couldn’t help but glance at Harry and Sherloque, receiving encouraging nods and a proud smile. “I just wanted to run this down with you guys because rewriting the laws of physics seems to be your area of expertise.”
Each Wells had their minds working through the information you had just given them, the cogs in their brains already turning in order to isolate a critical factor that can ruin it all.
“It shouldn’t be as tricky as multiverse hopping, amiright?” Sonny joked.
You gave a sheepish smile at the cheery Wells. I can ironically see why they call him Sonny. “I-I know I’m just a doctor, and- Barry and the others said it makes sense. Chester and Cisco are working to manipulate the Cerebral Inhibitor to the Mindscape while adjust the Neural Splicer for the Cerebral Inhibitor in order to return your psyche’s back to your bodies.”
“Aber ein problem,” Wolfgang interjected, gesturing with a hand while he had an arm crossed across his chest. “How are you going to take into account zhe dimensional breaches? Has Team Flash found ein dimension to extract it’s properties in order to make a sufficient extrapolator?”
“No,” you draw out your answer, “but that’s where you all come in.” Sherloque’s eyes held that curious glint as you continued, “All the Wells will be the key-”
“To opening up dimensional breaches to Earth-Prime.” The Frenchman finished. You nodded, biting your lower lip.
“Recording each entrance and cataloging it for future use in case something else were to happen,” Nash interjected, adjusting a gloved hand. Why does he wear those all the time?
“And it’s up to us, all of us to crack this… dimensional code. To solve a new problem,” Harry added on. You turned to him, your thumb rubbing his hand.
“Harry, you figured out how to close the breaches. Without a doubt, I have faith that you and the others can open these dimensions. That all these Earths are just hidden somewhere tricky to make us lose sense and hope of finding the ones we love.”
“But- and excuse my English- there’s a fuck ton of Wells and Earths in here and out there. How would efficiently cataloging even work with that much information and coordinates, my friends?” Sonny brought up an excellent point. One you hadn’t thought about because honestly you didn’t think you were gonna get this far. You were essentially at a loss for words.
Wolfgang cleared his throat, raising a pointer finger, “Ja, vell, before zhis crisis had occurred I created a neural memory chip in vhich I vas able to register every Vells across the multiverse from our strange und large Council. Basically, downloading zhe information into my own memory as vell as my psyche. Vas not easy, but after some time it vas a success.”
“Wolfgang, that’s amazing.” You said, feeling that hope inside you swell up again and taking down the pesky doubt that had been gripping your heart these past couple days.
“Danke, schatz.” The German Wells mumbled the last part to himself, but Sonny and Nash heard him. “I believe zhat a Council meeting ist overdue.”
“I guess, I should leave that to you guys.” You shrug your shoulders a bit, sadly letting go of Harry’s hand.
“Nein, halt-”
“Non, (Y/N)-”
“Hold on, doll-”
“Babe-”
Your eyes widened in confusion at there protest. “What?” Nash only rolled his eyes, crossing his arms because he really didn’t want to attend a stupid Council meeting with all those “idiots”.
“The others are…” Harry pursed his lips and glanced off a bit before looking at you. He didn’t want to say it.
“Stubborn? Irritably hardheaded? Unnerving?” You suggested and crossed your arms at you. “Yeah, I know. I’ve dealt with like four Wells already.” Harry raised an eyebrow at you, but he knows that his flaws were something you’ve grown to love and accept of him. As you’ve told him before obviously.
“Zhe ozhers vill need convincing-”
“-yeah, they’ll actually sit down and listen to ya, doll. Instead of getting at each other’s throats like the last couple of times and having all hell break lose like an all out mafia brawl.”
With confusion laced on your face at this new information regarding the council meetings you can see why Nash hates attending them. Your eyes wondered at Sherloque who had remained quiet in thought then to Harry. Each exchanged looks before Harry spoke up, “I think what this idiot is trying to say is that it’s best for you to propose the idea.” You opened your mouth to say something, but Harry cut you off. “I will be right beside you. Sherloque, Wolfgang, and I have sorta… taken charge of the entire council.”
“Like the Roman Triumvirate?”
“Just without the power-grabbing, backstabbing, and domination.”
“What about Sonny?” You all looked at the Brooklyn-accented Wells.
“Yeah, I actually don’t know why he hangs around us.” Harry deadpanned to which Sonny pouted with an eye roll.
“Hey, I’m your guys faithful secretary and advice guru, basically your hype man.” You had not seen Harry roll his eyes so much and so hard at the New York Wells. It made you want to laugh so much had your situation not been filled with a serious tone. “So, what do you say, doll?”
“I-” Your eyes danced to each Wells, sighing and looking down for a moment before locking your gaze onto Harry. “I don’t want to make a fool of myself,” you whispered.
“You won’t. Babe, I’ve got you,” Harry took your hand in his larger one once again, “Just like you’ve been by my side before.”
“Sherloque?” Calling his name snapped him back to reality, but it did not mean he had not been listening to you.
“100% with you every step of the way, petit fleur.” He tipped his hat at you, a knowing small smile on his face.
“Alright,” you let out a breath and shrugged. Harry grinned widely, especially at the fact that you would be staying longer. “Lead the way.” What else do I have to lose?
French and German Used:

UnwarRANTed: No One Asked, [BLANK] Delivered - The Flash
[BLANK] - Wow! Episode twenty-one of season five, already! This season just flew by. Season four seemed to drag on, but I've finished this one in two days. Also, this post is so much longer than it was supposed to be (hopefully it will make up for my recent inactivity).
WARNING: Spoilers for The Flash (Season five)
My biggest problem with this season is Nora. I really dislike her as a character, mainly her lack of maturity. From what I've gathered, Nora is about 27-30 years old, yet she acts like a child. I understand that she's emotional and can act rashly because of the situation she's in and the problems she faces with her family. However, I don't think that gives an excuse for her character to act as she does.
While watching, I often forgot that Nora even was an adult; everything about her screamed 'immature teenager'. She doesn't look before she leaps, often gets others into danger because of her actions, and is (mainly) the cause of most of the conflict in the season to begin with (she absolutely could have met her father without completely messing up the timeline, but choose not to). I suppose some of the blame can be put onto Eobard Thawne, as he manipulated her into doing his biding with the promise of meeting her father and potentially saving him. That being said, Nora is still responsible for her own actions, and many of them were done without help from Thawne.
I'm not surprised that I don't like her. I believe that I just have a hard time becoming attached or even liking characters to begin with. I think that Nora is well-written (for the most part), she's just not my type of character.
Other than Nora, I really liked this season. The drama and conflict were nice and the storytelling really shown through in some places. I really love the idea of Grace's vendetta against meta-humans, how it stemmed from her parents murder (or would it be considered manslaughter?) and fully bloomed from her uncle's words of spite. I also loved the idea of Cisco trying to cope with his powers and figure out who exactly he was-- Vibe or Cisco Ramon-- while Caitlin struggled to deal with her lose of Killer Frost, who she had no accepted was a part of her. I think The Flash does a wonderful job of showing that superpowers aren't just this amazing, wonderful, perfect thing straight out of comic books. There's real consequences to having them and it isn't always great to be a superhero. There's pros and cons to powers just as there is to everything else.
I love the characters' not only physical struggles with powers, but emotional ones, too. Being a hero isn't always easy, and The Flash really shows it. I can't help but be reminded of Hitoshi Shinsou from My Hero Academia. His struggles to accept his powers vividly remind me of Cisco's (though, they struggle for different reasons).
Anyway, awesome season! Can't wait for the sixth! The only real downside was those dang crossovers.

Crisis On Infinite Earths Outline Fix, Part 5: Laurel Returns!
This is the conclusion to the Crisis, Part 5! This is a bit of a longer one again. For parts 1, 2, 3 & 4, here:
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
I thank God for these ideas, if He wills, that He blessed me with:
The bright green light consumes the screen.
Kara, Wally, Jjonn, Ray, Sara and Kate all wake up in their new earth.
But things are different. Black Lightning's, Supergirl's, Earth 1's, Earth 3's and another earth's are now all merged into 1. Lex is the head of the DEO. All the speedsters remember everything. Cisco's powers are back, which when he touches Wally, vibes his pre-crisis memories back. The history of Earth 3 is now apart of that earth's, the Justice Society Of America having been prominent heroes, with the members of Jay Garrick Flash, Dinah Drake Black Canary (Laurel and Sara's mom), Ted Grant Wildcat, Dr. Fate, Hawkman/Hawkgirl, Alan Scott Green Lantern, and others, apart of the team in the 80's & 90's. Barry Allen's Flash has been erased, having never existed. Wally is seen as The Flash, the 2nd Flash there's ever been, after Jay Garrick. John Diggle's life has been altered as well.
Cisco misses Barry, but has become accepting of the situation after the preparations made for it and sees it as his responsibility to maintain the protection of the city. He uses his vibing to give Caitlin, Ralph and the others their memories back, but Wally stops him from giving them to Joe and Iris, saying that he doesn't want them to bear the heartbreak of losing Barry all over again.
Iris is the head of the Central City Citizen, which Post Crisis is a prominent newspaper.
Wally is left to ponder that the people see him as the Flash, him refusing to wear the costume, stating that he's not the Flash. Cisco tells him that the people think he is.
Mia is angry and guilty about the loss of her dad. Diggle has guilt that he couldn't be there for him when it happened.
Cisco picks up a reading of something coming from space, and traces it to landing outside STAR Labs, which he confronts, to find a man landing there.
Sara and Diggle talk about Oliver's loss and she tries to assuage his guilt, stating that no matter what, Oliver wouldn't have wanted him to die fighting this threat, and that Oliver was very stubborn, which they both have a small laugh about.
Sara comforts Mia, whose beginning to be accepting of her dad's death and that he died saving the multiverse, seeing him as a hero.
Sara, though having wanted to continue fighting, is still depressed about the fact that so much of her family is gone and that she has almost no one in her life. Which she talks with Mia about.
That's when they're attacked by some shadow creatures. They fight them, but are pinned down, about to be torn apart, when suddenly...
A sonic scream emerges from the side! BLASTING THEM BACK! And from the side...
Emerges Black Canary.
Sara is shocked. But apprehensive... until Black Canary looks at them and acknowledges Sara as her sister with a smile and rushes to her. Sara realizing that this is E1 Laurel. Alive. Laurel helps her up and Sara touches her shoulders, almost in disbelief that this is real, tears springing to her eyes, before hugging her, crying, in tears of happiness and grief. Mia almost smiles at the moment as well. Mia realizes and says that if they attacked them, they may attack the others as well.
They go to STAR Labs to warn them about what's happening. And are met with Cisco stating that he knows it's not over, as they've been told by someone, that someone revealing themself as the Green Lantern AKA Guy Gardner, from the Justice League Of America 1997 TV Movie, played by Matthew Settle.
Everyone is brought together, Diggle, Kate and Mia included. Guy Gardner tells them that he was from the other earth that was merged with the others, and is questioned by Diggle in how he survived the merge with all his memories intact. He says that his ring protected him. Cisco and Guy explain that the antimatter verse portal is still open, but is slowly closing as this new timeline, of sorts, cements, and if it does, those shadow creatures will be stuck here. Cisco determines that they're gonna need to recreate the sonic pulse to try and get those shadow creatures to them, so they can somehow get them into the portal before it closes. Laurel volunteers to do it, in spite of Sara's concern. Cisco explains that because there's no way to know where they are, they're gonna need to double the pulse from before to get all of them to them. Diggle suggests Dinah. Laurel questions that, but Cisco states that the Dinah Diggle is suggesting is Zinda Blake post-crisis and doesn't have a sonic cry and Laurel's mom has never had powers. Diggle realizes that he hasn't gotten all his memories straight yet. Cisco then says that there's someone else who can help them.
We cut to E2 Laurel standing in front of Laurel. Laurel is uncertain about this. E2 Laurel maintains her memories of pre-crisis. Laurel asks how this is possible. Cisco speculates that with the merging of some universes there may be holdovers from the previous, then stating that both Laurels have the metagene for the canary cry, a now discovered gene post crisis, and, with his memories of EX Laurel, he speculates at least most, if not all the Laurels in the multiverse, have one as well. But E2's was activated by dark matter, while post crisis Laurel's was activated by a gene bomb HIVE set off in 2014, HIVE post crisis being an organization who sought to enhance humanity, using techological and biological enhancements. Laurel asks E2 Laurel if she can be trusted with her history as a villain. E2 Laurel points out that she remembers nearly dying to help and hopes that's gained something. Sara vouches for her. Laurel trusts Sara's judgement and agrees.
The group all agree that the only reason the shadow creatures would have a reason to attack them is based on the Anti-Monitor being alive still. They talk about how that's possible, Sara, among the Legends, suggests that as time hasn't fully cemented yet, he may not be erased, Cisco then suggesting that he also may be acting essentially as a time remnant or using something to keep himself from erasure, like tech or something. Jjonn tells them that he read the Anti-Monitor's mind before he transported himself away and he read that because his plan to cause an antimatter universe of his own in place of our multiverse has been stopped, he's willing to try and prevent the multiverse from forming at all, even if it means his own destruction. They work out how he'd do that, coming to the conclusion that he can use the temporal zone to go to the dawn of time to try and undo it at it's inception.
As the group works out their plan, Guy Gardner uses the STAR Labs computers to look into information about his friends post crisis, from his earth, and where they are now.
His Barry Allen is now Darryl Frye, a detective in Central City.
B. B. Dacosta is now Green Fury, her alter ego as a pop star, Madonna-esque.
His Ray Palmer is now Al Pratt, a respected physics college Professor, and first Atom post crisis.
Tori Olafsdotter is now Mary Pratt, married to Al Pratt, and a reporter.
His Martian Manhunter is unable to be located here.
Diggle is there and tells him glad that a lot of his friends are okay on this earth. Guy Gardner understands that he speaks from a place of a grief at his friend having died in the crisis. Guy Gardner and Diggle bond over that, Guy telling him that now all his friends are found, that Martian Manhunter from his earth is still missing, but he has faith that he's out there somewhere and Diggle has to have faith that his friend is somewhere out there too. Diggle agrees that he does, that it's like Oliver said, it's God's plan.
The team works out the plan.
Before starting, Sara apologizes to Laurel for what happened on the boat. Laurel tells her that she didn't go through with it. Sara says that she would've and that kills her, for being jealous and petty like that, saying that she wanted to have what Laurel had, be her, but she was just hurting herself and her whole family, stating that she doesn't want this, hating herself, to hold her back anymore, that she wants to move forward. Laurel agrees.
Kara and Kate talk, Kate telling her that she can't find Bruce and doesn't know where he is. Kara tells her that she can't give up.
The majority of the group tracks the energy signature of the Anti-Monitor, courtesy of Cisco with combination of tech and his vibe powers, through the temporal zone in a waverider pod, as Diggle, Wally, Guy Gardner, E2 Laurel and Laurel remain on the waverider, above earth. The waverider pod containing Sara, Kara, Alex, Kate, Ray, Cisco and Jjonn.
The 2 Laurels begin their sonic pulse. Guy Gardner explains that they're going to have to act quickly, as his ring is running out of power, and that's why he can't use it for flight while he's using it for the trapping of the shadow creatures and why he'll have to stand at the open door of the waverider as he does it. When Diggle asks if he can recharge it, Guy tells him that post crisis the ring isn't his anymore and will seek out it's true bearer when the time comes, and because of that he doesn't have access to charging it. When the shadow creatures are drawn to the waverider by the sonic pulse, Guy Gardner uses his ring to capture them, giving the go ahead to Wally to superspeed a speedforce portal into the closing antimatter portal, allowing Guy Gardner to funnel the creatures into it.
Meanwhile the others chase after the energy signature of the Anti-Monitor in the wavrider pod, as he flies through the temporal zone. They get close to him, but, realizing they can't catch up, Cisco breaches them both into a neutral area, the vanishing point. The waverider pod crashing. When the group climbs out, they see...
Anti-Monitor standing, unscathed, towering over them, in full comic book Crisis On Infinite Earths Anti-Monitor tech body armor.
Cisco breaches away quickly.
The Anti-Monitor mocks them for that and bringing him here, stating that he's been erased from existence, so the vanishing point no longer holds it's sway over containing him.
Sara states that they didn't bring him here for that. They just didn't want anything or anyone to be in the crossfire, when they destroy him.
They begin the battle:
Atom blasting the Anti-Monitor, even trying to fly into his ear, shrunken, but he's slapped away.
Jjonn flies into him, reaching into his chest by phasing, but the armor he's wearing electrocutes and burns Jjonn. The Anti-Monitor then responding by punching into his chest, him flying backward, being smashed into the ground.
Kara and Kate double team him in an attack of distraction and offensiveness, but are blasted away by an energy beam.
Alex begins shooting at him from behind, telling him not to touch her sister, but he, unaffected, simply redirects his beams at her, which she just barely dodges, then, on the ground, leg badly hurt, being met with another blast directly at her.
Kara quickly superspeeds inbetween her sister and the beam, trying to hold it back with her heat vision, him walking up to her, pushing her heat vision back into her eyes, grabbing her head, placing his hand over her eyes, the heat vision burning them, BLINDING HER, her yelling out in pain.
Back on the wavrider Diggle, flying above earth, tells those on board that it's time. The 2 Laurels are ready.
Sara comes up behind him with a blade, but he grabs her quickly by the throat, destroying her blade, mocking her for thinking it'd work, then saying that now she's alone again. Sara smirks, saying that she's far from alone.
Suddenly a breach opens and Brandon Routh Superman emerges, flying like a freight train into the Anti-Monitor. The Anti Monitor's grip on Sara is immediately broken, him being SMASHED into the ground.
Cisco exits the breach right after, as Cisco as ever, exclaiming, "Was that a bird? A plane? Why, I think it was Superman!" He then asks Sara if she's okay. She says that she is, but what took him so long? He explains that they had a couple last minute additions.
Out of the breach emerges:
E1 Black Canary
E2 Black Canary
Killer Frost
Citizen Steel
Heatwave
Tyler Hoechlin Superman
Black Lightning
Tom Welling Superman
Obviously Brandon Routh Superman, as he re-positions himself.
They all engage in battle with the Anti-Monitor. Their powers all together do some damage. Atom's blasts, the canary cries, the electric blasts, the cold blasting, the flamethrower flames, the heat visions of all the Supermen doing the most damage. But he's still too powerful to defeat. Cisco tries to use his breaches to slice the Anti-Monitor apart, but his suit breaks the breaches apart when they close in on him.
Alex crawls over to check on Kara, whose eyes seem almost seared in a way.
In the waverider, Guy Gardner is having a hard time containing all the shadow creatures as he funnels them into the antimatter portal. Diggle, flying the waverider with some difficulty, tells Wally that the others need help down there. Wally's uncertain he can. Diggle lays it out, telling him that it doesn't matter what he thinks, because they still need the Flash. Wally takes the Flash ring out of his pocket, pondering it. Diggle asks him if he's ready to do what it takes to save everyone. Wally, in resolve, places the ring on his finger, and extends his fist, the Flash symbol on the ring glowing in almost a lightning crackle blaze.
In the battle, Sara tells them to try to hit the Anti-Monitor with all their powers all at once. They make an attempt, but he's too powerful for them to get at with all those hits at once. Cisco tries something, throwing his breaches around the Anti-Monitor's hands, then giving the Supermen the go ahead. The Supermen do so. Brandon Routh Superman grabbing his left arm, Tom Welling Superman grabbing his right, Tyler Hoechlin Superman grabbing his head, them all holding him in place.
On the waverider, Guy Gardner's green lantern power ring starts to drain, just as the last batch of the shadow creatures are getting to the antimatter portal. He tells Diggle he's almost there. Diggle tells him it could kill him. Guy states that they have to make sure they're all gone now, as the antimatter portal's about to close, it taking all of his willpower to hold it. Just as the last shadow creature gets in, the portal closes, Guy's power ring runs out and he falls unconscious from exhaustion, falling out of the waverider into earth's atmosphere. The Green Lantern ring slips from his finger and flies off as he falls. But just before Guy's about to be hit with the heat of re-entry...
Diggle swoops in with the waverider and catches him!
The Supermen holding the Anti-Monitor gives the others the room to throw their powers (canary cries, lightning, etc.) at him at the same time. It does more damage, but he still struggles. Tom Welling Superman stating that they can't hold him much longer. Sara asks how he's still so powerful.
Kara, hearing this, realizes, and tells them, that he's still empowered by the energy of the sun that was used to cause him to form and it may take a similar energy to destroy him. Cisco, as he holds the breaches around Anti-Monitor, intensely struggling, his nose bleeding a lot, says that it could work. Sara states that the only way to be sure would be to drop him into it directly. Cisco says that could result in the energy of the sun blowing back and killing all of them here. Kara tells them no, then asking Cisco if he has enough power to drop her in front of the sun. Cisco begrudgingly says yes, understanding her goal. Kara stands up, her eyes still seared, telling him to do so on her go ahead. Alex asks Kara what she's doing. She tells Alex that Nazi Supergirl could absorb enough of the energy of a sun to explode, and that if she gets enough, she could destroy him. Alex asserts that Nazi Supergirl died from it. Kara acknowledges that. Alex telling her no, she won't accept that. Kara hugs Alex tightly, telling her that she can't lose her home again and quickly pushes Alex away from her, telling her that she loves her and tell Lena she's sorry, then telling Cisco "now", the breach opening around Kara, taking her and closing just as quickly before Alex can stop it.
Tyler Hoechlin Superman asks what's happening.
Kara floats before the energy of the yellow sun of earth, it energizing her, the energy flowing to and healing her eyes, her opening them, with the energy of the yellow sun making them glow.
At Kara's request, Cisco breaches her back into the battle.
Kara floats over the battle, telling the Supermen to get away from the Anti-Monitor. Tyler Hoechlin Superman, realizing himself what's happening, tells her no, that he can't let her die, there has to be another way. The other Supermen agree. Kara states that he has a son to take care of, all of the Supermen do, it has to be her, that protecting him was her job in the first place. Tyler Hoechlin Superman continues to reject that.
But in a flash of lightning, all the Supermen are pulled away from the Anti-Monitor, and Wally stands before them, in the full Flash costume.
The Flash lives again, as Wally circles the Anti-Monitor at superspeed, throwing lightning at him multiple times, this keeping him in place...
Allowing Kara to enact her plan. She says to Tyler Hoechlin Superman, "I love you, Kal-El." and flies towards the Anti-Monitor, her heat vision BLAZING with the fire of the sun, searing into him, it burning through his armor, burning him from the inside out, FLAMES igniting from the eyes of his suit! This use of her powers causing her eyes to crack with yellow sun energy bleeding out, the cracks spreading more and more. The Anti-Monitor, enraged, yells out, "NO!" And Kara collides with him, the force of it IMPLODING THEM IN A FLASH OF LIGHT!
Leaving nothing but a crater, and Kara's torn cape. Alex and Tyler Hoechlin Superman rushing there, seeing only the cape, them both breaking down, almost leaning on eachother, Alex devastated, inconsolable. The other Supermen stand silently in mourning, placing their hands on their shoulders in an attempt at comfort. Everyone else surrounding them, in silence.
The President gives a speech, honoring the sacrifices of Supergirl and the Green Arrow with a statue of an \S/ in National City and one of Green Arrow being built in Starling City.
Diggle visits Guy Gardner in the hospital who tells Diggle that his time is over and now it's his turn. We confirm that Diggle, now having gained full memory of both earths, in this post-crisis, his name is John Stewart.
The team honors the Flash silently with a Flash symbol built in it and empty seats for Barry, Oliver, Kara, even Bruce at the new table, in the Hall Of Justice.
In the montage of showing the earths with show the same things, but now with inclusions of:
The Birds Of Prey TV Series Earth, showing that team now working with Kevin Conroy Batman, who has a renewed pursuit of heroism.
Tom Welling Superman with Lois, watching their kids, before he gets an alert on a fire in Metropolis, with Lois being proud of him.
Justice League Of America TV Movie Martian Manhunter alive, leading martians on Mars.
Earth 1 Bruce, alive, stranded on another earth, but on the search for a way back.
Gotham TV Series Bruce as Batman in his earth.
Some quick flashes with the Batman 89 earth and Batman 66 earth.
On a re-established Earth 90 E-90 Flash speeds through the city, before getting a message from Christina McGee of a bank robbery by Trickster, E-90 Flash smirking and then speeding off to it.
On earth prime, something falling to earth in front of Diggle, but stopping just short of hitting the ground and it redirecting and pointing right at him. It emanating a green light reflecting on his face.
Ending still on the Superman The Movie nod of Brandon Routh Superman flying, his symbol back to yellow and red.
THE END.
In case ya’ll are curious, Kara and Barry aren’t really dead and aren’t gone for good. In their respective seasons, they’d return after a couple episodes or so. Please review and tell me what you think!

Different World| Part 1
You were rewatching your most favourite Tv show ever, you were watching the Falsh. As always you were creating images and scenarios what would happen if somethin went differently, what would you do if you were there. Would you help Savitar if you were given a chance? You somehow always felt sympathy for him. You understood his motives. Would you be able to save Barry’s dad from Zoom? Up until this point when the season 6 is running, there are three deaths, wich hurt you the most. Barry’s dad, Nora Barry’s daughter amd Ralph although he is alive, when De Voe took his body that was heartbreaking for you. And of course Barry’s comming death in Crisis. No matter what you are never gonna be ready for it. You suddenly feel really tired so you shut down your laptop and close your eyes. It takes you less than a minute to fall asleep. Wnen you wake up you hear beeping of machines like in a hospital. What happened? You don’t open your eyes yet but you can hear a very familiar voices talking.
“ I don’t know a portal opened and she fell through it. Luckily she doesn’t have any injures. She should wake up soon.”
“ Did you ran tests is she a meta?”
“ Yes.”
“ Cool can’t wait to see her powers.”
“ We don’t know who she is Ralph she could be dangerous.”
That’s when you decided to open your eyes and look around. Your jaw dropped when you saw the people around you Team Flash. You were at Star labs Caitlin was checking your vitals and everyone else just stared at you. You sat up.
" This has to be a dream. I can't be in Star labs let alone Central city."
" Well it's not, you are here. Who are you?"
" I'm y/n. And I don't know how I got here."
" We don't either. But we know that you are a meta. What are your powers?"
" I'm a meta human? How? I was just watching my favourite TV show and boom I'm in it."
" What I mean Barry is that in my universe the Flash is a pretty bad ass TV show and I love it. I've seen all realessed episodes so many times that I remember them almost to the slightest detail."
" Wait you know who I am?"
" Of course I do that's what I'm saying. I know all of you and your stories. I know your past, present and future."
" You sound like the Thinker."
" De voe... that's who you're dealing with right now? That means I'm in season four. The show is currently halfway through season six."
" Wait you know that much of the future?"
' yeah but who knows what will change because of me. Me being here already changes it."
" How do we know you're not liying?"
" I'm not liying. I can prove it. You are Iris West - Allen, a reporter you were working at CCPN and you the author of the blog about the Streak later the Flash. You were engaged to Edie Thawne, who died to save Barry from the Reverse Flash."
" Caitlin Snow/ Killer Frost lost Ronnie who was the love of your life. Then worked with Savitar for a while."
" Cisco Ramon aka Vibe. You're dating Gypsy also a breacher who has the scariest father I've seen. You make the useful toy's and super suits and you are great in naming metas."
" Ralph Dibny...Private Investigator who used to be a cop. You planted the evidence and that got you fired though Barry had a part on this too. But since you got powers and became the Elongated man you changed. You have a habit of making jokes but no one knows the meaning behind them except for me. You're one of the 12 bus metas."
" and last but certainly not least Bartolomew Henry Allen. The Flash. You lost both of your parents, to Thawne and Zoom, you lost more people than anybody else here. But you keep running for your friends and family, for Iris. You've defeated all your enemies so far. Reverse Flash, Zoom, Savitar and now you have to beat De Voe. I know I shouldn't but I will help you with him. Even though I know how this all end's and what will happen I myself want to change something."
" What?"
" I can't tell you yet. I'm aware of what I might do if I change the timeline too much. Don't want to create Flashpoint 2.0."
Everyone looked at each other quite surprised. Then Barry smiled and said.
" Welcome to the team."...
What do you think so far? What she wants to change? How will her presence and actions effect the timeline?

“Who can say?” “You can! Right now!”
“Cisco Ramon?”
“Who’s asking?” Cisco asked, noticing the new figure who’d arrived in Star Labs with Barry and the others.
“Querl Dox- or Brainiac 5. I’m a friend of Kara’s.” Querl said, as he considered Cisco’s reaction to his name. Or rather, the lack of it- which, honestly, pleased him.
There’s no Brainiac on this Earth, he thought. Nobody’s afraid of me, or my family line.
It was why he was able to fight openly against Amazo, with nobody throwing tomatoes at him, or calling for someone in turn to stop him.
He was aware that the Crisis would be happening, around a year from then. Earth-1 and Earth-38 would become one, and the presence of aliens would be known, but not feared, and there was really no need to wish for something that would soon become irrelevant. But nevertheless, he almost wished he could stay just a little longer on Earth-1, if only for that reason, and that Earth-38 could be so open with their acceptance of their heroes. “Barry Allen has spoken highly of you. He said you would be able to get us home?”
“If I couldn’t, my superhero name wouldn’t be Vibe.” Cisco said. “And I’ve heard about you, too. Superman says you’re from the future, huh?”
“Yes. The thirty-first century.”
“Oh, wow… I’m sure that was a difficult adjustment.”
“Understatement.” Querl said.
“No kidding.” Cisco answered. “So, what’s it like?”
“Who can say?”
“You can! Right now!”
Querl knew he was taunting Cisco in a way, refusing to give him an answer. It reminded him of when Winn asked him the same question, wondering if a number of fictional universes were correct in their predictions of the future. But this was a different situation, and their time together was even less than his and Winn’s had been.
“I can’t reveal much.” Querl told him. “Really, I shouldn’t at all. I should not be here. But circumstances in my time have forced me to stay, and… I admit, there are some people I’ve worked with who make the situation worthwhile.”
“You mean, like Kara?”
Querl squeezed his eyes shut, trying to keep from blushing, or reacting in any way that would give away his answer.
“Perhaps.” He said, opening his eyes again.
“Okay, there’s that.” Cisco answered. “So, what can you do? What’s your superpower?”
“I would not consider my twelfth-level intelligence a superpower, by your standards.” Querl said. “But that is only the beginning of my superior attributes, and the most important.”
Cisco nodded.
“I get it.” He said, looking down at his bandaged hands. “I mean, my powers are cool and all, but… working here is more fulfilling for me than running around in a costume.”
His eyes were drawn to Querl’s hands, then.
“What’s with the ring?”
“Ah! That’s my invention.” Querl said. “It grants flight, allows for communication with others wearing the rings…”
“Can I see it?”
Querl held his hand out to him, and Cisco took his hand- lifting it closer, examining the ring- but paused as though he was frozen, staring at it for a few moments before looking up at him with wide eyes, breathing heavily.
“You were using one of your superpowers.”
Cisco gave him a nervous smile.
“Yeah, how’d you know?” he asked. “Wait, no, dumb question. But…”
He didn’t know how to break it to Querl, that the other man was in his universe’s 4th timeline. He didn’t know if Querl even knew that, or would want him to tell him. But it comforted him, just a little bit, to know that Barry and the Legends weren’t the only ones messing with time, and even though this guy had (or time had been messed up around him) it only made him want to get to know him more.
If only he wasn’t leaving so soon.
“Come on.” He continued, too quickly for Querl to comment otherwise, or ask what he had been about to say. “Our friends are waiting for us.”
“Right.”

Flash tv prompt: Don is in love. Unfortunately, he's in love with Eobard's daughter. Meloni is nothing like her father, but Barry can't stand the thought of his son dating the daughter of the man who murdered his mother. Barry and Don fight, and then they don't speak to each other for years. Then the timeline goes to crap and Don and Meloni have to fix it while keeping their identities a secret from their fathers.
"You could ask him for help."
Don turned sharply to see Cisco standing there. He gripped Mel's hand tight.
"The Flash," Cisco said, pointing around the corner to where the younger version of Don's father was with his Uncle Wally and Frost. "He would help."
"No, he wouldn't," Don said. "He hates me."
"You came back in time for a reason," Cisco said. "Was it not to ask him for help? Your sister did already."
"You..."
"Oh, please," Cisco laughed. "You think I wouldn't notice someone messing with time? Who else's kid could you possibly be? And you look like your mother."
"I'm not-"
"Relax, you're not in trouble. I get it. Meeting your parents before you're born is possibly dangerous and might be weird. But you're Barry and Iris' kid. Another one. And you are..."
"My girlfriend," Don said. He pulled Meloni slightly behind him.
"Congratulations, kiddo. Have we met? I'm Cisco."
"I don't know if we should tell you our names," Meloni said.
"Smart, I like you," Cisco said. "You're not planning on telling me what brings you to this time either, are you?"
"No," Don said. "See you around, Uncle Cisco."
His hand tightened around Meloni's and flecks of her red lightning bled into his yellow.
Cisco's eyes glazed over.
"Tell me Eobard didn't send you," he demanded.
"Meloni isn't her father," Don snapped. "You're all the same, you won't-"
"Don," Meloni said. Cisco looked upset and he stepped back.
"Don," Cisco said. "I know it's dangerous, but please tell me what's going on."
"I'm not going to risk time by-"
Cisco opened a breach and grabbed something.
"Don't tell the Legends I borrowed this," he said, and handed Don a black stick. "Probably stole because I'm not going to remember to give it back. It erases memories. You can tell me everything and then I'll forget."
"But you're Vibe," Don said.
"I have too many visions to think they'll all happen," Cisco said. "And they've only just started to come back, I haven't told anyone other than Kamilla yet. Talk to me, Don."
"There's something wrong with Time," Don said. "We're just trying to fix it."
"Your father can help you."
"He wouldn't. We fought and I left and then it changed and he died and I didn't go to his funeral and Dawn and Nora hate me too and maybe they're right and if I'd been there I could have stopped it, but he wouldn't have wanted me there. And I saw that Nora came back with Bart, I don't know him, it's because if Dad meets me now I won't exist."
"I think there might be something Bart didn't tell us. But Barry would never hate you, and I don't know what happened, but it wasn't your fault. He wouldn't blame you."
"He did, I chose Mel over them."
Cisco looked at Meloni and sighed.
"You're Eobard's daughter," he said. Meloni nodded. "And they couldn't see past that, and it was Eobard who killed him, wasn't it?"
"But it wasn't Meloni," Don said. "She's not like him, Uncle Cisco, you have to-"
"I believe you, Don," Cisco said. "I don't know how much things will change in the next, what, three decades? But the Barry I know, he wouldn't be angry with you. Scared maybe, but he wouldn't hate you for this."
"He was furious."
"Eobard Thawne killed your grandmother."
"I know. Dad yelled everything he'd done at me. But Meloni isn't Eobard and he can't tell me I'm not allowed to see her just because of her father. He really can't, we have lectures together."
"How old are you?" Cisco asked.
"Nineteen."
"Did he tell you when he found out Nora was working with Eobard he ran her back to the future without letting her explain? He regretted it. He blamed himself when she was erased."
"But-"
"I think Barry hears the name Eobard Thawne and he doesn't think. His biggest fear is losing the people he loves, and Eobard is so determined to take everyone from him. Try talking to him. If he's still acting like an idiot, call me and I'll kick some sense into him, if your mother hasn't already done that."
"She's not..." Don trailed off.
"Which is why she hasn't already yelled at him," Cisco said. "I'm assuming that was Eobard too."
Don nodded.
"Well, if you're here to fix time, I think I know one thing that shouldn't have happened. Things will be different when you get home, Donnie. That's how time travel works. You can never truly go back to what it was before. You should probably erase my memories now, but hang onto that, if there's anything you need, you come find me, promise?"
"Thanks, Uncle Cisco," Don said.
"Come here, both of you," Cisco said. He pulled them both into a hug. "You two can do this. You can stop him, and you can get them both back. It'll be okay. I promise."

Killervibe week day 1
Fake dating
Cisco frowned at his deskspace, reaching up to rub his eyes, trying to fight off what promised to be a monster headache. Something was off. Not the pile of papers, and it didn’t look like anyone had gotten into his redvines jar or disturbed any of the other tools and trinkets, but still. Maybe he just needed more coffee--even if Caitlin and Iris both agreed that he Really Didn’t. He reached for the cup and blinked. “Caitlin?” “Mm?” Caitlin poked her head out of the medbay that adjoined the cortex. “What’s wrong?” “Can you tell me how long I’ve had this?” he held up the blue mug, with the TARDIS outlined in darker blue and white. The coffee in it was still warm. “You got the coffee ten minutes ago, Cisco, are you feeling ok? Wait, did you hit your head in that last fight? You told me you were fine, and if we need to have another talk about lying to your doctor--” “Not the coffee, and no, I didn’t hit my head. I don’t think. The mug. Since when?” “Last month. The station gave it to you after you fixed their coffee machine again. What do you mean, ‘you don’t think,’ Cisco, it’s a yes-or-no question.” Cisco thunked his head down on the desk with a louder bang than he’d intended. The mug was wrong, he usually kept just a regular STAR labs mug, or the Star Trek mug the Steins had gotten him for his birthday at the lab, and this one looked familiar, but...differrent. So how--- looking up, the light that glimmered on the edge of the mug and the glass wall as Caitlin passed it shone blue, and Cisco thunked his head down again.
“I’m going to kill him.” “Be more specific,” Caitlin advised. “And look up, I need to see if you have a concussion.” “Where’s Barry?” Cisco asked by way of reply. “It’s not a concussion--” “You just slammed your head against your desk so I’ll be the judge of that. I’m not sure, probably with Iris. Or running down a lead for dealing with our newest friend.” She jerked a thumb at the display screen with all the information on the latest supervillain threat. Cisco grumbled, but let Caitlin cup his cheek with one hand and shine a light at his face with the other, wincing a little at the brightness. “Better question, when is Barry.” Caitlin’s eyebrows rose for a fraction of a second before furrowing. “What do you mean--wait--that’s what the mug’s about?”
Cisco nodded. “Used to be different. Not sure if the whole story changed or if I just… brought this one to STAR or something.. It could be something small…” “Frost says he better be now, and she’s--saying things I won’t be repeating she can say them to his face later.” Caitlin sighed. “He promised he’d stop messing with time, at least without warning us.” “I’m going to see if I can figure out what else he changed. God. Remind me to pester Ray for an update for Gideon so she can do this instead of me.” Caitlin nodded. “Want me to call Iris?” “Nah. Let’s make sure this wasn’t like the first time he time traveled. Or the… third? If it was an honest mistake that happened because he was outrunning a, a--” “A tidal wave, or a magical explosion that vaporized the rest of us, yeah. Frost still wants a word with him.” “She can get in line.” Cisco leaned back, trying to concentrate, finding the threads of energy that wove through him and into the larger picture; trying to trace those threads to the place the blue turned to gold. Images flickered, a montage of clips, like evidence stacking up in a crime drama during a detective’s voice over, or Wally speedwatching an entire season of masterchef, but nothing major seemed to be highlighted, nothing felt too off or wrong-- Something drew his internal gaze deeper. A crime scene, from a few months ago, two images trying to compete for memory space. Blue versus full color, they were almost identical: the Flash standing on a rooftop, the costumed villain standing a few feet away, crackling with green fire. One thing was different. A blue-tinted body lay to one side of the two. That wasn’t right. The fight had just been a fight, no one had gotten seriously hurt (Barry’s broken arm had healed in half an hour, that didn’t count as serious.)
He drew back from the vibe. “ I… think I found it? The thing that changed. Someone died in that fight with Witchfyre.”
Caitlin shook her head “No, no one was up there, the nightguard--oh. Well, that’s… something. We can still be mad at him though.” “Oh absolutely. I mean, seriously, this is what we call in the legends for.” Cisco grumbled. “I’m going to have headaches the next two times we fight Witchfyre, I swear to God.”
“Two?” Caitlin asked. “We locked them up.” “Yeah they’re still alive, so statistically speaking--”
Caitlin muffled some laughter. “You sit those out then. Barry can deal with them himself.”
“That’s right.” Cisco took a redvine. “You know, he never bothers to figure out exactly what happened in the time he changes, he just goes along with it. Be nice to pull a surprise on him. One that, you know, wasn’t shitty for us.” Caitlin nodded. “If we get Iris in on it we could swap McSnurtle for an alligator lizard or something.” Cisco frowned. “She’s really bad at lying, though… hmm… not enough time to paint the cortex…I’m not cutting my hair.what does that leave?”
“How far back did he go?” Caitlin asked, stealing a redvine.
“Two months and three days,” Cisco said. “So that limits things a little....” “Gives us enough time for today to be our two month aniversary and he promised to be on watch at STAR while we went out to that new Italian place,” Caitlin offered after a moment. “He’s going to get that deer-in-headlights look,” Cisco agreed. “Oh man, that’s genius.” “Who’s going to what?” Barry asked, catching some of the papers that went flying as he skidded in. “Finally,” Caitlin said, making a show of checking her watch. “I was about to call. Did you hit your head in that last fight?” “...no? Why?” “So you just forgot Caitlin and I had our date tonight?” Cisco asked, hoping he could pass off his tripping over ‘date’ as mild indignance. “Your wha-- I mean,” Barry’s face matched the red of his suit and just as quickly went dead white. “ Um.. that was… today?” “Yes,” said Caitlin, grabbing her coat. “You know the drill, text if there’s an emergency, don’t blow anything up, set the alarm when you leave--” “--And don’t fuck with time,” Cisco said with her as they left.
The Dinner was nice. Caitlin hadn’t been out for Italian in ages, but it was a quiet enough place with good food. Cisco held up his phone. “ Evidence selfie?” Caitlin laughed, and leaned her head against his. His hair was soft, and she took a moment before pulling away, after the picture was taken. Her phone beeped, and she glanced at it. “Uh oh.” “What’s wrong?” Cisco asked. “....we forgot something.” “What did we forget? Dessert?” he reached up absently, checking for his vibe goggles, but no, he’d stored them safely. “Iris just texted.” “....and she didn’t timeline hop. Right.” Cisco sighed, crestfallen. “Also we forgot to order dessert,” Caitlin continued. “Wanna split a Tiramisu?” “What about…” “I think we can get Iris in on this,” Caitlin said, sliding the phone away before Cisco could see the text in question. From Iris, 7:52 It’s about time! details!? Cisco grinned. “In that case, absolutely. How long do you think it’ll take Barry to realize?” Caitlin thought for a moment “Not until the holidays at least.” “There’s always something big then,” Cisco nodded. “ I say, next May.”
“Loser buys cake and ice cream for a week.”
In the end, Barry only figured it out when their one year anniversary was a few months off from when he was sure it was.
#killervibeweek19#god i realize that this is just lead up to and not actual dating but i do my best i am just a little ace hedgi#killervibeweek

Cisco happy with the decision to eliminate his powers regresses his character arc...An Essay.
Note: This essay isn’t perfect, and it is riddled with some speculative theory, just trying to wrap my head around season 5 and what exactly was it that they’ve done. I’m emotional. There may be some mistakes. I wrote this kinda all in one sitting. I didn’t edit. We may agree or disagree on some things. That’s fine. But this is my take.
I need to to just to talk about something.
Cisco happy with the decision to eliminate his powers regresses his character arc.
Now, if he took a break from being Vibe, that, I could potentially understand. He had gone through a traumatic experience. He wants to date, wants to try and start a family. Okay. Maybe superhero-ing on the side can cause some difficulty with that. Then hang up the suit. Use your powers instead of your car instead of pew pew machines for a few months. But he’d come back to it. Or at least…In a crisis. They’d be there. That’s his decision. But to completely eliminate that? That’s drastic. It’s never something he had said he wanted to do. Should Cisco want to maintain close ties to Team Flash, which he claims he does “You’re not the problem. You guys are my family” (5x17), he’d be at a bigger risk to threats. In order to properly keep his safety, he’d have to separate from all of them and start somewhere fresh. He’d have to do what Ronnie wanted to do with Caitlin in season 1. To move away completely. It makes no sense! No sense at all! And @nintendo-sixtyvore has pointed out so correctly that every time Cisco has been in serious danger, specifically kidnapped, it had nothing to do with his powers. It had to do with his intelligence!!!!!!! This isn’t going to go away by removing his powers! Read their post here.
Besides, superhero-ing, and being part of Team Flash, although stressful, weird, sometimes crazy is something Cisco LOVES. It’s what holds him together.
He has said so many times, not only this season (“You’re my friend, my family (5x06)” and 5x05, 5x07 5x10) to Caitlin, and to everyone on Team Flash throughout the series.
In fact, after the particle accelerator explosion, having Barry be a coma patient, and later find out a meta-human Is what jump started Cisco’s excitement, his career, and his life again after such a terrible event. Cisco was the one on board with Barry from the very start.
We learn in 3x19, in the 2024 that was dissolved, that Cisco was the only one who remained in Team Flash. Barry was depressed. Iris was dead. Wally was paralyzed. HR skipped town. Julian became Killer Frost’s glorified zoo keeper. Caitlin as Cisco knew it was dead. He had lost his family, his purpose, his passion. He was depressed. He stopped taking care of his hair.
And he had lost his hands. He had lost his powers. “No hands. No Vibe,” he says brokenly.
I mean, first of all, that shouldn’t make all that much sense. His sensory vibes aren’t linked to his hands. He’s had vibes without touching anything, and he has stated that he sometimes gets them randomly (2x11,1x23) but apparently here they’re all gone the moment his hands are lost? Well. Okay. So lets take that for how he said it. No more hands means no more vibe blasts. It means no more breaches. No more Vibe. He can’t be the same hero, he can’t use his hands, he can’t make things the way he used to. He can’t feel any longer. He can’t thrust power from his hands, can’t open the world to the multiverse. But he can still have Vibes because he told Barry “I had a feeling” he’d be there. What does this mean? It means his Vibes are still there. He’s heartbroken over the other half of his powers being gone.
Killer Frost did that purposely. She could have killed him. She could have frosted his feet, his hair, his head…Anything else. But no. Cisco was the link to her humanity, and she wanted to squash it. She knew what would do that, what would officially make Cisco turn her away. Doing the unthinkable. Hurting him the most. Taking away what he loves. His powers.
So she did. And it worked. He understandably withdrew from her, grew sad, despondent, but even then even then he wanted to still work with Team Flash. Even when everything was up in flames, he was the last man standing.
Because he’s strong. He’s strong and he’s a hero. He loves to be a hero.
And Team Flash is his family. Its what he loves to do. Its where he belongs.
Team Flash being his family starts to disintegrate around 5x10. I have another theory that this is elevated by a continued resentment against Frost (explicitly Frost. Not Caitlin. Never Caitlin—which makes things complicated) that has never went away. You can find that here.
His vocabulary about “us” and “we” and “our” has changed to “me” and “my”. When he talks to Frost, he says: “Barry, Iris, Nora, they have a family. Even you and Caitlin have your weird little family. But what about my family?”
He automatically blames his powers as preventing him from having a family (which two episodes before he repetitively said with joy was Team Flash). Preventing him from being safe.
Cisco doesn’t know that. That assumption isn’t quite logical. Doesn’t it make more sense to discuss this with a potential partner. He didn’t make it about his powers there. He never said that “I hate opening breaches.” He never said “I find dimensional hopping repulsive.” He has said he was scared, that he was nervous, that he didn’t understand his powers in season 2 when they were developing, especially his vibes, because they were confusing. But the thing that was the most confusing to him were the visions he saw. The fact he could see other timelines, the fact he could see the future. It didn’t have to do with his hands.
5x22 was Cisco’s first showdown with Thawne since season 1. The Thawne who killed him. The Thawne he knew. But it wasn’t his very first encounter with a Thawne since then. This leads to something that sat badly with me. The conversation between Eobard and Cisco. Yes, Eobard is an ass, so he probably mentioned killing Cisco for shits and giggles because he knew he could, and because he wanted to pull it again with Nora, but…Using this to enhance Cisco’s reasoning for taking away his powers? No.
In fact, in 2x11, called, oh, I don’t remember…Oh yes. THE REVERSE-FLASH RETURNS. 2x11’s B plot was all about Cisco developing his powers, and confronting his fear. Giving himself agency.
At the end of the episode, they have Reverse Flash contained, and Cisco goes up to him and says his killer piece:
“My name is Cisco Ramon. I want you to know that I’m the one who figured out you were back. I helped stop you. Me.”
“And how’d you do that?”
“I have powers. And I helped track you down and I put you in here.”
“That’s quite the ability you have.”
“And here’s what’s so ironic about it. You gave me these powers. Have fun thinking about that while you rot away in this cell that you helped me build. Bye, Felicia.”
Cisco was so proud about that.
Soon after that he had a seizure (the result of Eobard being in their time, not because of anything Cisco did) but even after waking up, asking what was happening, Harry replied “We think you vibed one dimension too many.”
Cisco started to laugh. Not an afraid one or a nervous one. It was genuine, to which Joe joined along, as it was contagious and immediately accurately assessed that “Yeah, I think he’s going to be fine.”
In season 3, Cisco said he was afraid about using his vibrational powers against Caitlin because he was afraid of hurting her. But that was because he loves Caitlin. She’s his best friend. He didn’t want to kill her. And Cisco at the end of season 3 did exactly that. He was able to help Caitlin, fight Caitlin, and do it safely without hurting her. Without killing her. He grew. In season 3, Cynthia told him he could do a lot more with his powers. That she could show him. This was never continued on screen.
Season 4 reveals Cisco spent 6 months as the meta field leader of Team Flash and worked with Wally (which we only got 1 episode to see…Nice.) He did a good job, and was shown being great at it. He was in a really good place, despite the circumstances. He missed Barry. He missed Caitlin. But he had his powers. He had Star Labs. He had Cynthia. He had his purpose.
We know that Cisco was knocked out in the crossover in s4 oh so conveniently because his powers would’ve made the Crisis much less of a threat (…). By 4x16, Cisco purposely pointedly avoids shaking Matthew’s hand because
***“No offence. I like my powers.”***
At this point, Cisco’s powers were a part of who he was.
When Breacher offered Cisco a job at the collection agency, he refused because he wanted to stay. Stay on Earth One. He wanted to stay with Team Flash. He wanted to be Vibe. Before he got the job offer, he had to explain to Breacher that he wasn’t going to get his powers back because they had gone from old age. He explains why he lied because “I know how special our powers are.”
That’s the Cisco Ramon progression we’ve had. That’s where he was.
To have Cisco….Revert? To, what? To Pre 2x11??? It retracts all of this.
Another thing. Cynthia having the same powers as him? He liked that. It added a lot to his attraction. Now, how does that translate after the break-up is curious. It’s possible he’s grown an aversion to them following the split. “If I can’t even make it work with the girl who has the same powers as me, then what’s the point?” But see, even this logic is a relationship issue. Not anything about his ability, exactly. This arguments fits better with why he was so keen to jump ship with Kamilla. “She’s normal!!! No more inter-dimensional long distance!!” Cisco is muddling two separate issues here, pinning them on being a metahuman. Cisco and Cynthia’s relationship didn’t fail because of Cisco’s powers.
By season 5, he was drinking. He was trying to avoid pain. He was feeling down. Caitlin tried to help him. Ralph tried to help him.
Cue 5x03.
He was almost killed in 5x03, and had dark matter sliced into his palms which had remained for several weeks.
Now what other main characters had dark matter wounds? Orlin. Grace. Nora. Cisco. What did they all (except Nora, which I’ll get to in a sec)have in common? The moment they got these wounds, anti-meta sentiments emerged to varying degrees. This degree is in correlation with their wounds.
Remember Grace? The dark matter in her wound was in her head, it was so bad it warped her judgement, her mental state grew dark. Grace's was in her head, so it was the most intense. This was confirmed (By Caitlin’s Doctor-ing/Meta-science-ing) in 5x22 when the cure was in fact being neutralized by the dark matter inside young Grace and it was difficult.
The same thing happened with Cicada I. His dark matter wound in his chest changed his perception as well, going as far as to want to commit suicide once his war on metas was over.
Nora was stabbed in the back, paralyzing her and also taking away her speed. But, she has fast healing, and she eventually returned to normal (debatably. Remember she’s under the influence of negative role models, and later on the negative speed force later on).
Now, Cisco’s hand slices were the most superficial. He was also stabbed in the back but apparently the Flash writers forgot all about that and thought that a stab wound to the back that needed a brace would heal faster than two sliced palms, but alas, I digress.
His hands were sliced with dark matter, and the moment they were…. “The Death of Vibe.”
Cisco wasn’t in 5x04. But he was back in 5x05. And this is when he started to develop a RANDOM CONFUSING dislike towards his powers. Towards being a meta-human. He no longer wanted to be Vibe.
But here’s my thing. He had dark matter stuck in his hands. He’s had them in him for a long time. They were only taken out by 5x10. Caitlin even said, the reason why they took so long to heal was because of the shards stuck in his skin, infused with dark matter. Enough to let this idea about having a cure grow in his mind. Enough to start hating his HANDS. His HANDS were bleeding. HIS HANDS were the source of his sudden self-hatred. Enough to start making him dislike metas. Not to a “let’s kill them all off!” extent. But a “Let’s make a cure for this thing that I’m responsible for (Me: ?? Caitlin: ??) and I’m not sure I like even anymore!”
It’s almost like, this negative cloud took over. Interesting. Isn’t that arguably the same thing that has happened to Orlin? To Grace?
Everyone is complaining that CIsco would never do this. That this is out of character.
That’s right. This isn’t Cisco.
Cisco in season 5 had very little agency. Remember? Agency. That thing he had in season 2. In season 3? Season 4?
Most of the decisions he’s made were through pressure or suggestion by other people. Caitlin and Cisco never had another conversation about the cure following 5x10 with the exception of 5x15 (but that wasn’t about him. Only Shay) until 5x22. Like at the end of 5x10 she offers to help make the cure with him because he wants it. And doesn’t question his feelings again. But then in between those episodes, everyone else is pressuring him to do things he isn’t comfortable or putting negative thoughts in his head.
Sherloque in 5x21, enhancing his insecurities, trying to convince the viewers Cisco never liked being Vibe. Ralph in 5x12, trying to get him to go out and meet people when he didn’t want to. Barry in Elseworlds, insisting on him using his powers. Cisco is bleeding after his vibes on the Monitor and only Kara asks if he’s okay. He says, very strained “No! No I’m not!!!” Nobody checked up on him after this?!?!??!?!?!!?!? (Also He GOT HIT BY A CAR AND JUST WALKED IT OFF?? —Whoops wrong essay). Ralph in 5x14 trying to get Cisco to use his Book of Ralph to impress Kamilla on his date. And Iris and Caitlin pushing Cisco to try again after he said he felt by the 53rd failed first date he shouldn’t bother trying.
Until 5x22 when Caitlin Injects him because he asked her too.
Also, to quote @manjehaal: What’s with him wanting to work on it alone all the time?
Anyway. All this to say.
Let’s go back to 5x03. They called it the death of vibe. But Cisco ended up getting his powers back in that episode. He lived. He was dampened but he survived. BUt. This isn’t about the death of Vibe. This is about the death of Cisco. The death of the part of him that loved vibe. His passion. His excitement. Him.
There was no reason to do that. WHY DOES THIS SHOW LOVE TO KILL CISCO SO MANY TIMES. 5 TIMES THEY’VE KILLED HIM NOW, BECAUSE YOU BETTER BELIEVE I’M INCLUDING THIS.
And!!! And!!!! To make Cisco so badass in that final fight. It was hurtful. To see him so confident. So strong. To see him be Vibe. The Vibe we could have seen all along.
If he doesn’t want to be Vibe. He doesn’t have to be (Also, Cisco was going to lose his powers with age anyway, something we learned through Breacher). It’s painful. But to take a cure. To make it sound like Cisco thinks he’s diseased. There was nothing to warrant that. Nothing. They just destroyed something that so many people love. People love Cisco. They love who he is. They love him as Cisco and they love him as Vibe. They love him as as a latino hero. Watching them axe Vibe like that. Emphasizing its permanence. It was gutting.
And I’m pissed.

Past Tense (Team Flash & Reader)
Rating: T
Summary: You and your frenemy Nora get into an argument that leads to an accident… A big mistake that finds you trapped in the past and meeting your Team Flash parents.
A/N: This could also be considered a Nora & Reader. Disclaimer - Though I may have written about a fueled animosity between Nora and the Reader, it by no means represents how I feel about Nora myself.
“How could you, (Y/N)? I knew you were evil, but this is a new low.”
“You really need to open your eyes, Allen,” you say to the short brunette, “It’s not like I’ve done anything wrong!”
“You’re going to kill him!”
“Don’t be so melodramatic!”
“What did you call me?”
“Mel-o-dra-ma-tic.” This fires Nora up to no end, that girl really has a temper on her. You can see the multi-coloured electricity emit from her. She’s charging up.
“You’ll be sorry,” she growls.
You give her a ‘come at me’ motion with your hand. Nora West-Allen may be the fastest girl alive, but you have some pretty quick tricks of your own.
She winds up for a punch, and wow, she almost catches you off guard. You activate the power of your gloves, a gift from your godfather. You vibe yourself out of her way and end up where she once stood. This time you’ll get the jump on her. But Nora makes another run at you.
Even though “XS” is able to throw a killer shot to your body with her fist, you manage to suck her in with you into your handmade breach.
Why does it feel like your head is spinning?
You and Nora are suddenly sprawled out on the pavement in front of a series of retro looking houses. Your rival groans and gets up, leaving you on the ground. You hear her gasp.
“What is it this time, you drama queen?” She pulls you off to the side, behind some bushes.
“You just ruined all of our lives,” she whispers harshly as if her world was falling apart in front of her. You squint at what Nora is looking at in one of the houses.
“I highly doubt that, but explain.”
“That!” she points at the blue house in front of you, “That is my grandparents’ home! That is my mom and dad walking inside!”
“Yeah, so?”
“My mom and dad are not in their twenties!”
“Oh my God…” you breathe out, seeing your own kind-of-horror. “I see my mom, too…” There she is, getting out of her car. Mom - long, wavy chestnut hair and so freaking young.
“Allen…” you say slowly, realization creeping upon you, “I don’t think we’re in 2045 anymore…”
“Yeah, no shit!”
***
It took you and Nora approximately five months until you stopped bickering over whether it was a good idea or not to come clean to your parents from the past. Nora kept trying to subtly insinuate herself into random moments of her parent’s lives. Like that time she posed as wait staff at her mother and father’s wedding. But you were smart enough to stay away. You understood that the tiniest interaction with the people you knew could cause a ripple in time and potentially disrupt the timeline. You’ve heard plenty of stories from your mom over the years all featuring Nora’s father.
Like father, like daughter, you suppose.
But it was now or never. Almost half a year had gone by and you were both still stuck in the past. If anyone knew how to help you, it was Mr. Allen and your mom - Caitlin Snow.
Nora goes up to her grandparents front door finally, one day in May, and totally crashes her family’s get together. To be more specific, her Aunt Jenna’s baby shower. Who was just born. Days ago.
Of course, you were never one to be so rude as to interrupt something so intimate as that, especially when uninvited. Plus, you weren’t even supposed to be born yet, so... that could be awkward.
But you just have to peer from behind a car at Nora about to mess things up again when you two find yourselves outside of Joe and Cecile’s home. You weren’t about to aide in catapulting the two of you even further into time travelling trouble.
It was about a half hour, maybe not even, until the entirety of Team Flash (minus Joe, Cecile, and Jenna) hustle out of the front door. Their expressions range from deadly serious to complete awe. Your phone dings in your pocket.
Going to S.T.A.R. Labs, coward 😘 -XS
You try to reign in your frustration. You’re not a coward, you’re careful. But something in you is already pulling you towards the Laboratory building.
***
“I’m sorry, who are you?”
Everyone is staring at you. Even your mother said that you looked strangely familiar to her.
“My name is (Y/N), and-”
“-Are you my daughter, too?” Barry asks, looking like he’s about to worry all over again.
“No, I’m hers, actually…” you gesture to Caitlin. Mom.
“I’m what? Excuse me?” Caitlin falters. “There’s no way-!”
“Yeah,” Cisco pipes up, “She’s not even seeing anyone right now!” Your godfather really was a riot, even in his heyday.
“Gee, thanks for that.” Aw, she’s got that flustered look on her face. It’s so familiar and comforting. “Then who’s your father- wait! I don’t want to know! That could be detrimental to the timeline-”
“-My father is Julian Albert,” you couldn’t help but blurt out, letting your cares fly free. It’s just so nice to be able to talk to her, even like this. You hadn’t been able to talk to your mom for five months, whether she was from your time or this one. The Team Flash members all glance around at each other like, ooh girl, someone needs to make a long distance call.
Barry shakes his head and says to himself, “This is...too much information.”
“How does it feel to be on the other end, Barry?” Cisco jokes. Barry doesn’t answer that.
“Way to follow your own rules,” Nora mutters under her breath. Oh great, is she going to embarrass you in front of everyone’s much younger selves? You give her a look that screams, shut up or I’ll vibe blast you to kingdom come. She flashes you a whatcha gonna do about it? smile. You lunge at Nora, but Cisco and Caitlin hold you back.
“Hypocrite,” she calls you and gets restrained by Barry and Iris.
“Train-wreck,” you spit.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa!” Caitlin shouts and you’re already being taken back to when you were a child, “What is going on here? Why all the hate?”
“Yeah, that’s not what we’re about here at Team Flash!” Barry adds in total shock.
“Are you two like this… all the time?” Iris asks you and her daughter.
“Yeah,” Nora huffs in response. When the younger version of your mother asks why you bicker and fight all the time, you roll your eyes.
“Because she’s dating Bart!” Nora lets out, like it’s been tormenting her inside.
“You’ll have to tell us who Bart is,” Iris calmly tells her daughter.
“My twin brother! Your son! She’s going to break his heart!”
Just as you’re about to protest, Barry says with a hand to his forehead, “Wait, we have a son, too?”
”Such a cutie,” you admit. Iris holds onto Nora a little tighter at her attempt to break free.
“Okay, okay, this has got to stop, now!” Barry raises his voice. Everyone in the room freezes. Mr. Allen takes a deep breath. “Nora, why are you so against (Y/N) going out with... Bart?”
“Because! It used to be just me and him! Now I never see him anymore and she’s stolen him away. She’ll break his heart-“
“But I won’t, Nora!” you protest. “I love him, okay?!” You look awkwardly at Bart and Nora’s young parents. “I’m sorry you don’t see him that much anymore and I’m sorry about what’s happened between us. It sucks and I never wanted us to be like this. But I would never, ever hurt him, I need you to know that.”
She’s been stunned silent, some of her hair falls in her face when she looks down. Then Nora mumbles something.
“Speak up, honey,” Iris says.
“I’m sorry,” Nora says a bit louder, “I didn’t know you…”
“Well I do,” you confirm. “And I’m not some kind of black widow, just so you know.” She scratches the back of her neck. “Can we just forget about everything?” you ask. “I’m so tired of fighting with you.”
“Please? I am too.”
“Okay!” Cisco claps his hands, “Happy fun times from here on out! Now, let’s get to work on getting you back to the future.”
Nora sighs and slips you twenty dollars as you say, “I knew he’d say that.”

A/N: If I changed a few minor things it’s because I got so carried away in writing this idea. So much fun!
Requested by @bartallenisbae : Please write a flash team x reader about the reader transporting herself to get Nora but gets stuck as well. Nora and reader hate each other and when she introduces herself as the daughter of Caitlin and Julian. The team gets used to her (but start to get annoyed over the fighting with Nora and her and please no sexual tension they really do hate each other) and the team finds out the reader is dating Nora’s twin Bart and Nora is jealous of her because she’s used to it being her and her brother

One After Another (Cisco Ramon x Allen! Reader)
Chapter 2
Part 2; Cicada makes his appearance. Cisco talks about giving up his powers in fear of putting his son in danger after he has to fake his own death. Cicada attacks reader in her home, causing her to go into early labor.
Warning(s); Labor (Which I did not write out since it’s weird for me to write, you’re welcome)
Tag list; @thebloodrobin
Story list; Chapter 1 , Chapter 3 ,
. . .
Your footsteps take you down the halls of STAR Labs in alert. Caitlin had sent a startled call revealing a new meta had attacked not just Barry, but Ralph and Cisco, and Cisco had been injured to where his powers were lost.
Your breaths are short as you make it to the cortex, one hand at your stomach as the other rested on the door, Dante looking up from where he and Nora sat at the control panel, “Mom,”
“Where’s your father?” You heave, Dante standing to gesture to Caitlins lab, your figure moving past him and into said lab with sore feet,
“This is definitely Dark Matter, but these levels of concentration are unlike any dark matter levels I’ve seen before,” Caitlin steps back upon your arrival, her eyes moving causing Cisco to look up from his wrapped hands, face relaxing when he sees you,
“What the hell happened?” You demand, moving in front of Cisco to take one of his hands, staring down at where the palm had been patched,
“I’m okay,” Cisco reassures, and you look up to his face, eyes narrowed,
“That’s not what I asked, and I know you’re lying,”
His eyebrows flick up testingly, where you- barely- press you finger to his palm, his hand jerking away as he hissed, glaring at you in irritation,
“Ow! Don’t- do that!” He demands, and you mock his eyebrow raise, glancing to Caitlin,
“How bad is it?”
“The cuts are pretty deep. But they should heal in a few weeks, give or take,” She nods, Cisco huffing and drops his hands to rest at your stomach,
“I’ll be fine. I swear,” He assures, where you put your hands overtop his, nodding, lightly,
“Hey guys?” Barry calls, your head turning towards the Cortex so Cisco tapped your stomach with his fingers, letting you step back so he could stand up,
“We have a big problem,” Barry states, pointing to Iris,
“I just talked to Captain Singh and he said that Gridlock was killed during his transport to Iron Heights,”
“Gridlocks dead?” Dante asks, arms crossed as he looks to Nora,
“How?” Caitlin asks,
“Not sure,” Iris sighs, “I interviews everyone that was there and no one knows. But I did some digging...” She nods to the TV screen so you turned, eyes staring at the fallen video camera, followed by heavy breathing,
“What is that?” You ask, shortly, looking to Cisco,
“Sounds like the guy who just attacked us,” Ralph answers, your eyebrows raising in question,
“Attacked you? Is that thing even human?”
“Yes,” Nora nods, turning, “Cicada,”
“Who’s Cicada?”
. . .
“We never catch him?”
“Probably because he can take everyone’s powers with the dagger that basically sliced Cisco’s hand,” You try, Dante nodding,
“So we’re basically dealing with a Jack the Ripper,” Cisco sighs, leaning on the back of your chair, “Amazing,”
“What else do you know about him?” You ask, hand reaching to grasp Cisco’s at your upper arm,
“Just that he...,” Nora pauses, “He’s early,”
“What do you mean, early?” Barry asks,
“In our history, Cicadas first victim was a meta named Floyd Belkin. He never killed Gridlock, or Block, completely different victims,” Dante answers.
“Because the timeline changed,” Barry states
“There’s no telling what kind of effect this made to the timeline, or why kind of future Nora and Dante are going to go back to,” You inform, “We need to catch this Cicada guy, fast,”
“You mean catch the guy future us can’t catch?” Cisco asks, hand pulling from yours to rub at the palm, “Right, I thought beating the thinker was hard,”
. . .
“So your plan is to contact Herr Wells?”
You stand with your hands curled under your stomach, eyes staring at Nora and Dante beside each other, Iris and Barry at their sides,
“I know in the future you guys never bring in a Wells to help you catch Cicada,” Nora nods, “So if you want a different result this time,”
“We try something new,” You nod, Nora glancing at you with a smile,
“It’s a great idea,” Barry shrugs with a grin, and you look over when Cisco steps next to you, eyes on his phone,
“‘Cept it’s not,” He mutters, your brows furrowing as Barry leans to look at him,
“What?”
“It’s a terrible idea,” Cisco looks up from his phone, shaking his head, “If you’re looking for cooperation, trust me, this is not your guy,” He huffs, eyes back on his phone, “He is just an asshat,”
“Don’t be harsh,” You order, Cisco looking at you in disbelief,
“I’m sorry, I’m being harsh?”
“Yes,” You nod, your husband nodding back and gesturing to the communication device on the table
“Go ahead, call him, see if you don’t get a steaming pile of side-eye,”
“You’re being dramatic, Cis,” You shake your head, watching Nora press a few buttons before the hologram of an older Harrison Wells appears, turning with a scoff,
“The Flash,” You hear Cisco scoff next to you,
“Wait for it,”
“I love the Flash,” Herr Wells swoons, and you grin as Barry smiles, “Oh, you Barry Allen, yah? With the zoom, zoom, and the defy the physic laws and gravity, always with some style and Grace, yah,”
“Thanks, man,” Barry laughs, shaking his head,
“Das Kinder Flash,” Herr Wells gasps, hands together as he looks to Nora, “Child of the Flash.”
His eyes quickly move to you, where you smile in greet, “Sister Flash, of course!” He cheers, Cisco looking up from his phone with a glare, “Raving in your natural beauty, carrying a child, no?”
“I am, thank you,” You smile, glancing to Dante, “But, listen, we need your help capturing a meta human serial killer, Cicada?”
“Unfortunately I’m otherwise occupied, unable to assist you at this time,”
“You can’t?” Nora pleas,
“Nein,” Herr answers, shaking his head once, so you frowned in disappointment, “But I have done one better and called someone who can, this man is a legend, this man is the greatest detective in all the Multiverse, so I’ve attached his coordinates if you want to look at them,”
You nod as Nora leans into her computer, “Okay, got them,”
Iris looks up and over at Cisco behind her, eyebrows raised knowingly,
“What? You want me to breach him here?” Cisco snips, holding up his bandaged hands, “Hello? I just got Benihana’d. Hurts a little bit. Why don’t we just breach him here the old fashioned way?”
“Thank you, Herr Wells,” You hand Cisco the small device, smiling brightly, “This is great,”
“Privilege and an honor to help you, Flash, and Sister Flash, bye, Kinder Flash, and, Sister Flash, good luck on baby Flash,” Herr winks to Dante, vanishing from his spot,
“Okay, you know what, let’s just get this master detective out here,” Cisco mumbles, sticking out the extrapolator in front of him so a breach formed, a shadowed figure appearing almost instantly,
Your brows furrow as a Harrison Wells with sunglasses step out, Cisco lowering his arm, “Well,” The Wells starts, pulling off his jacket, “I imagined your earth would be colder. Harrison Sherloque Wells at your service, I’m here to catch your killer,”
. . .
A small hum from the television in front of you begins to lull you asleep. The apartment is empty as Cisco and Dante were both still at the labs, so when you hear the small creak of the floorboards, your body is wide awake and on high alert,
You sit up and glance over your shoulder, eyes slowly scanning the dark kitchen connected to the living room, hoping and praying you wouldn’t spot any movement,
The small, orange glow feet behind you indicates that Cicadas dagger was present, the dagger rising showing that cicada, too, was there,
“Cicada,” You whisper, hand slowly reaching out to your phone next to you, eyes watching as the man stepped forward, into the lighting of the television.
“Where is Vibe?” He asks, questionably, eyes narrowed under his mask as you swallow, free hand under your stomach,
“I don’t know who Vibe is,” You answer, calmly, slowly rising to stand, “I wouldn’t know where he is,”
“Don’t lie!” Cicada jerking forward causes you to push to your feet, knees hitting the coffee table so you stumbled, catching yourself with the wall behind the television, eyes wide in alert, “Tell me where Vibe is, and I might let you live,”
“I don’t know who Vibe is!” You shriek, feeling a tightness in your stomach, “Please, I don’t,”
“You’re going to have a lovely family, Miss Ramon,” Cicada says, lowly, stepping forward as you curl a hand under your stomach, body sinking to squat down, hand clutching your phone to your side, “Id hate to take away your husband, too,”
“Please, I don’t know who Vibe is,” You plea, eyes glimmering with tears. You force your thumb to press the alert button, sniffling as you drop your phone next to you,
Cisco looks over from his goggles at the beep of his phone, his eyes staring at the alert screen before he picks up the device, scanning the pinpointed address before his eyes widen, pushing to stand up and grab his suit,
Barry looks at Iris in alert at his own phone, speeding off so he skid to a stop in the living room of your apartment, your head ducked as you hiccup, “He has Cisco,” You choke out, and look up, “Barry,” Your brother moves forward, sinking down so he saw where your grey leggings were soaked, “My water broke,”
. . .
“Guys,” Barry speeds to a stop in the middle of the cortex, body tilted to hold you up as your hand clutched at your shirt, “Y/Ns going into labor,”
“What?” Barry hears Cisco hiss into his earpiece, Iris looking up from where she leaned over the control panel, “She’s six weeks early!”
“Cicada must have triggered it,” Barry let’s Caitlin- who showed up quickly once Barry first contacted her- move you to her lab, “Cisco, where are you?”
“I don’t know!” Cisco panics, looking around at the trees, “Some forest- is Y/N okay?”
“Caitlins got her,” Iris reassures, “Can you breach here?”
“Have you forgotten that my hands are fucked up?” Cisco shoots back, “God- dammit. Y/N, hold on! I’m coming!”
“I hear field crickets,” Sherloque hums, Barry pinching his brows, ignoring your cry of pain, “I know where he is,” He is quick to speed off, Nora following in quick steps behind him, Dante bouncing on his feet before disappearing, too.
“Okay, Y/N,” Caitlin breathes, hands at your knees as you pinch your eyes shut, opening your eyes to stare at a spot on the ceiling, “You’re ready to start pushing,”
“Without Cisco?” You heave, lifting your head, “How- I can’t, Cait,”
“Y/N, you can,” Your best friend encourages, “And you will. Now I need you to take a deep breath okay? And push with my counts,”
. . .
Despite all the commotion in the cortex, your eyes seem steady on the wrapped bundle on your chest. Your breaths had evened out- despite the headache in your temple and the paint in your thighs- smile light in awe,
“Caitlin, I’m fine!” Cisco’s shout causes you to look up, seeing him pull his arm- which had a gash at the shoulder- away from the doctor, his eyes flicking to you, “Dante,”
You hold a finger to your lips and smile, Cisco moving up to you with his hand at the gash, his eyes flicking from you to the infant, who shifts at the sudden voices,
Cisco exhales a laugh, your eyes shifting to his shoulder with a slight frown, “Cisco,”
“I’m okay,” He whispers, shifting to sit on the edge of the bed, “Promise,”
“We have a baby,” You grin, Cisco’s eyes finally leaving Dante to look at you, his hand not on his shoulder reaching up to cup your face, pulling you in to press his lips against yours, twice,
His forehead bumps yours, head turning to look back down to Dante when he whines, Cisco leaning back so his could extend his hands,
“Easy,” You nod to his shoulder, watching him nod once as he moves to lean against your pillow, shifting Dante against his shirt, carefully,
“Look at him,” He murmurs, your head leaning on his uninjured shoulder, hand on his, “He’s got your nose,”
“We already know everything he’s got,” You remind, nodding to the door where adult Dante stood, next to Nora and behind Barry,
Cisco follows your gaze, smiling as he glances back down to the infant. “Let Caitlin fix your shoulder,” You murmur, Cisco reluctantly handing you back your child.
“Hey,” Cisco pauses as he stands up, leaning back down to press a kiss to your lips, then to your forehead, “I’m so proud of you, mi amor,”
You smile back, looking up at Barry when he holds out his hands, hopefully.
. . .
“It’s almost like you’re really dead,”
You lean back in your chair, Dante rested against your chest as you read the screen, where the words- “VIBE DEAD” showed in front of you,
“Yeah,” Cisco heaves, arm now in a sling and free hand at the back of your shoulder, “I almost really was,” Cisco sighs, running his hand through his hair, “How the hell are we gonna catch this guy?”
“Not without our powers, we know that at least,” Nora frowns, and your eyes widen in realization, Barry’s brows furrowing at your expression,
“I never got my powers back,” You exhale, Cisco looking down to the anxiety etched on your face, “What if they’re gone for good? I- Cecile has hers, still,”
“Hey,” Cisco calms, kneeling down so he was even to you, “For all we know, they could be slow coming back- maybe your body just has to heal, you just gave birth, it’ll take time,”
Your tense shoulders relax, eyes shutting as you nod, “Right. Right, yeah. Sorry,”
“We don’t know much else, either,” Sherloque continues, “Variations in the timeline, they’ve shifted the elements, complicated the equation.
“Not all those elements are bad though,” Barry smiles over to Dante and Nora, “You two could be the elements that save us- you could be the reason we catch Cicada,”
“I must admit, miss Nora here pulled the rug right under from Cicada,” Sherloque laughs,
“That’ll be the only fake death we’re gonna see around here ‘cause you’re sticking around until you pay us back every cent,” Cisco reminds
“Well I have to say, prospect of another mystery with Cicada puts a little pep in my step,” Sherloque states, gesturing to where you had stood up and now bounced Dante, “And now with two Dante Ramons, I sense this will get quite entertaining,”
“It’s gonna be weird, for sure,” You nod, Cisco’s free arm sliding to rub the back of your neck as you move to his side, “Two Dante’s in one house? We’ll see,”
“We probably should get you two home,” Cisco speaks, stepping back as he glances to Barry,
“Get some rest,” Barry orders, finger pointed, “Both of you,”
“Dont worry,” Dante stuffs his hands in his pockets, “I’ll help. Any time I get to spend with younger me, I’ll take,”
You wink at Barry and laugh, Cisco nodding for Dante to follow, shaking his head as you murmur to him about how he must record Dante holding himself for the first time.
