series masterlist !
description; You know where you were, and there was no kidding yourself on it. After taking in your surroundings, you stood from where you'd woken up and headed out of the patch of stinging nettle. You didn't know what your plan was, but it definitely wasn't to get stalked and subsequently chased by a very tall, inhuman deer-man.
additional notes; woo!! this chapter introduces alastor, but it's pretty much just at the end. reader does not have a good time. have you ever been stung by a stinging nettle? i haven't, but i saw my brother get stung on his leg by one and. and it's such a funny yet terrifying sight to see a 6'1 20 y/o scream like a banshee and run around like a mad man because he brushed up against a plant. it's not fun (he told me so himself). i hope you enjoy, i, once again, had a lot of fun writing this!! there might be typos to begin with, but i'm usually much better at catching them after publishing fics (i don't know how it works D:) so i'll probably be coming in and out to fix them :]]
warnings; general terror, anxiety, isolation, lots of religious references (enough to be tagged)/mentions of sunday school, mentions of death + death of friends, grief, reader is terrified for their life, gratuitous use of symbolism done by yours truly, being 'hunted', Alastor is referred to an 'it' (this will change in the next chapter when he introduces himself), and let me know if i missed any major ones !! :D

You just sat there for a while, looking around. There was no trace of whatever had killed you, whether you’d succumbed to the blood or the unspecified brain injury you definitely sustained-- there was no lingering lightheadedness or nausea.
Physically, you felt… fine. Your mouth felt crowded to the point of discomfort, your hands felt quite heavy because of the claws now adorning the ends of them--
And you’re pretty sure you’d landed on your tail. Yes, you have a tail. At first, you couldn't believe, that you'd fall down into hell and suddenly gain a tail; but you’d shifted around and pulled the large, furry mass from where it’d been pinned underneath you.
There was no beating around the bush with it, you had a tail now; and you were pretty damn accepting of it.
…Or you were just too tired to care. Not physically so, but mentally. You could hardly believe it, that in such a short amount of time, so much had changed.
One moment, you’d been happily hanging out with your friends, and the next you were in a car accident, hunted down the spoiled brat that caused it (because God knows he would’ve gotten away with it on account of his filthy rich folks) and slaughtered him.
With that in mind, you completely understood why exactly you were in hell, surrounded by a bunch of stinging nettles-- you looked down to your left, having felt something brush against your hand. It didn’t feel like stinging nettle at all.
When you looked down, you saw a small patch of 4 Zinnias. One was yellow, another orange, then a hot pink, and the last a bright cherry red.
You don’t know what it was about those flowers, but something stirred deep in your in response. Those were their colors, you’d realized. And maybe it was just one big coincidence, a fluke that the yellow was the exact shame shade of the cardigan Lorraine had been wearing. Or that the orange reminded you of Rudy’s carrot-top hair, or that the hot pink was exactly the color of Marnie’s cat eye-framed glasses—
Or that the red was awfully too close to the color of Matty’s Chevy convertible that he’d so lovingly named “Sheila”.
It was silly that spotting the flowers was what got you to stand, to finally get off your ass and leave the field you’d woken up in. But no matter how silly the reasoning was, at least you finally stood, right?
You considered being slow with it-- it'd be leagues safer then just yanking yourself upright and immediately heading out. But you weren't really thinking clearly on that end-- you just wanted away from the flowers.
It was stupid. It was stupid, the unease you felt because of those-- but something in the back of your mind reminded you about unit you'd done in home economics the year prior.
You don't know why it was required by the curriculum to learn how to pick just the right flowers for a gift (in the case of the boys in the class), or to decorate your home with (regarding the girls, which you thought was ridiculous that there was a separation between the two, but you could do nothing about it). You thought it was a little silly, but your teacher at least tried to make it entertaining.
She included a mini-history lesson, something that brought back some of the history parts of the etiquette unit done the previous semester. The Victorian language of flowers,
You couldn't remember what zinnia's represented, but you don't remember it being anything good. You think it's something relating to grief, and at that point you put a hard stop to anymore prying into the subject.
When you stood, you stumbled a bit. For a split second, fear shot through you-- were you still affected by the brain injury? did that carry over, and you just hadn't noticed until you stood suddenly?-- but those fears were replaced with annoyance at what you figured out to be the actual cause.
Weight distribution and whatnot, you weren't used to your ears being on top of your head instead of the sides-- so that messed with your balance just as much (or perhaps even more) than having to readjust for the added weight of your tail.
Luckily, you caught yourself before tripping face first into the stinging nettle right next to you. You'd put your foot down quick, just a hair away from brushing up against the plant.
"Shit!" You tried not to swear too often, but you felt like it was appropriate for the situation. You were quick to take a few steps back, relieved that you hadn't touched the plant.
One time, when you and your friends had been at sleepaway camp right before the start of freshman year, you and your friends had came across a patch of stinging nettle, smaller than the one you stood in now-- but still pretty sizable.
Rudy, ever the class clown, said he bet 10 bucks that he would jump into the nettle. Matty tried to discourage him, and Marnie had already preemptively turned her gaze away and covered her ears, readying for when he'd start screaming his head off (and boy, did he scream).
Lorraine was always the smartest, most level headed of the group. Though, at that point, she wasn't as used to Rudy's antics as the rest of you were; she took him up on the bet, thinking it'd make her an easy 10 dollars. That Rudy would chicken out.
He took off his shirt and jumped into the patch. It was awful, he'd jumped up almost immediately and started running like a bat out of hell-- he screamed so loud and so blood-curdlingly that camp counselors barreled to where your group was, afraid that someone had broken a leg or something of the sort.
When they got one look at the angry red welts on Rudy's back, they rolled their eyes-- you're sure they'd encountered more than a few risk takers that'd done close to same thing as Rudy had.
Rudy was always one to play up things for the laughs-- but that was one of the few times you were absolutely certain he wasn't doing anything to make it seem worse. It looked awful.
You weren't too keen on trying it for yourself, thank you very much. Eyeing the plant wearily, you made sure to steer as clear as possible of it as much as possible.
While you'd been sitting, you'd noticed a path right near where your head had been laying. You turned that way, and looked at it-- real closely, this time around.
It was pretty narrow, all things considered, but it was doable. It stretched on pretty far, but-- and this might be perspective, but it didn't seem that way-- it looked like it gradually widened about half a mile down.
Sure, it wasn't ideal, but this was hell, after all. You'd take what you could get, and you really didn't want to stay in this patch for any longer. You didn't know if hell had a day/night cycle, but if it did, and it turned to night-- you're sure that wouldn't spell anything but trouble for you.
Honestly, you could've probably walked straight forward-- like a normal person-- but for some reason, that still felt too close for comfort.
You felt something brush against your leg, and it didn't hurt-- but you didn't know how fast a nettle's sting settles in, so you snapped your head down and--
Huh.
Your tail-- which, you knew that, realistically speaking, it would move. Considering it's just another limb-- was swinging in agitation, and you hadn't meant to do it.
With a frown, you came up with a quick solution. You scooped it up with one arm and held it close to your chest with both. Then, not wanting to waste another second in this open field, you turned sideways and started cautiously making your way down the path, being painfully careful as to where you put your feet, or if you felt even a teensy bit off balance.
By the time you got to where the path widened-- thank God, you thought; even though He definitely had nothing to do with this strike of unexpected luck-- you took a chance and turned, no longer feeling the need to move sideways.
Most of the time, your eyes were focused whole-heartedly on the ground. Tracking where your feet were, if the path started narrowing again-- all of that fun stuff. But you made sure to look up a couple times, and look behind you as well. Just to be careful.
You don't know how long you'd been walking for. It must've been a while, probably a couple miles-- the sky was getting darker (and you mentally noted that hell did in fact have a day/night cycle. isn't that just swell?) and your feet were starting to hurt.
It felt like a miracle, that right as you started to get a little reckless with your footing-- hunger, exhaustion, and discomfort being one of the main sources of you being less and less cautious as the trek through the field wore on and on and on-- the end of the path was within sight,
However, it was a forest. Not a smart idea to go into-- even if it was day, the large trees would probably block any light from filtering through the leaves. You were certain it'd be awful in the dark, and all you had was the clothes on your back.
It was getting cold-- which surprised you. The temperature before was far from pleasant, it was what you'd expect from hell more or less. Scorching, to put it lightly; but it didn't affect you too badly-- maybe on account of your new biology made to better suit Hell's climate--
But it was cooling down, and it was cooling down fast. A shiver ran up your spine, a soft breeze turning into raging, cold wind that seemed to blast you from every which way.
In Sunday school, they didn't talk about hell much; it scared the kids, the idea that them, or a loved one, could go to such an awful place. It was a necessary evil when it came to discussing anything relating to God, however.
This... hell, it had to be hell-- felt worse then what you'd learn about. You've been here for hours, and have encountered not one person. Not one thing, nothing but plants and the fear of expectation.
This can't be all there is, rang out in your mind. It was terrifying, that hell seemed so similar to your time alive. A day/night cycle, temperatures that changed (even if it was from uncomfortably hot to uncomfortably cold).
As you thought about it more, you decided that maybe this was hell, your own personal one. You'd lived your life as someone who held friends and family in high regard-- you much preferred a night in than out, always opting for a cinema over a drive-in movie; but bending to your friend's wills if they so demanded.
To be stuck out here, in an unfamiliar field where there was no sign of someone-- something else, no trace that there had ever really been anyone else-- with by far one of your least favorite-- if not the least favorite-- plant being all your eye could see.
When you made it to the edge of the forest-- a nice little 'peace zone' between the nettles behind you and the foreboding, dark forest ahead of you, where there was just grass. Nothing more, nothing less-- you contemplated not going in.
Maybe... Maybe instead of a one-size fits all fire-and-brimstone, closed in with a bleeding stone ceiling and chains hanging down, the sound of screaming, tormented and damned souls being the only thing you could hear-- it was much more... personalized.
That seemed so, so much scarier than anything you learned in Sunday school. If you got a choice, you think you'd pick the other, only because it'd be predictable. You'd know what to expect.
And now, and you stand in front of the daunting forest ahead-- you find yourself torn between two worlds. On one hand, you can just stay here in this field. It's safer, if only by a little-- because you've been here for the past however-many hours, and not much had happened (save for a few close calls with the nettles you were carefully skirting around),
Still, staying out in the open didn't bode well in your mind. Going into the forest wasn't any better, it was just as scary as the nettle patch-- except for the fact that it was far more unfamiliar.
You must've stood there for at least 10, maybe even 20, minutes before finally making your decision. It was getting colder and colder-- you looked behind you, and despite how freezing it'd become, there was no frost covering the plants behind you.
Right. So, no 'hell freezing over' kind of situation. The temperature was just always set 100, whether that be in one direction or the other. Fine-- that's fine, i can deal with that you told yourself, crossing your arms over your chest to try and conserve what warmth you can,
Before stepping into the forest. The path had let right to an opening, a trail leading through the woods as well. You had full intention to follow it the whole way through, not wanting to stray off if possible.
You kept looking behind you, seeing the dim moonlight coming from the entrance growing further and further away-- when it was no longer visible, you swallowed hard and focused your gaze ahead.
This was fine.
You can deal with this.
This is just dandy, swell-- amazing! You're fine, you're okay. You aren't hurt, there's nothing behind you, there's nothing watching you, nothing hunting you despite what the deep-seeded prey drive in the back of your head tried to tell you--!
Snap!
You tried your best to not look back, but it was getting harder and harder as the moments went by. There no other noise, save for crickets chirping, and fireflies buzzing by (though, they didn't look like any fireflies you'd seen before, not while alive), and your own footsteps and shallow breathing.
Then, you stopped dead in your tracks. There was a fork in the path-- one leading down a steep hill, the other turning sharply into a more densely populated part of the forest. It was impossible to see all the way down the hill, or through the trees.
You stalled, not a smart choice, but... you didn't know what to do. The hairs on the back of your neck stood straight up, posture becoming more hunched as the cold feeling of dread curled in your gut and refused to leave you alone.
It went quiet.
Entirely so.
No crickets chirping, no fireflies buzzing, no wind rustling the trees-- nothing. Your ears began to ring oh-so suddenly, and you flinched. Clapping your hands over your ears, childishly hoping that'd fix-- or at least help-- the ringing in your ears, that was getting so loud you felt your brain starting to rattle in your skull,
You squeezed your eyes shut, pushing and pushing and pushing your hands harder and harder against your ears, and at some point, it seemed like you were trying to crush your skull into pieces out of pure desperation. Desperation for the ringing to just stop already!
Just when you felt your head was about to explode-- or implode, maybe; considering how much pressure you were putting on it-- the ringing stopped.
A hand was on your shoulder, but you didn't feel it settle there. You don't know long it'd been there-- it's a hand, you know that much. It was large, and clawed, and bony-- it didn't feel like a person's hand, so much as it felt like the hand of a monster. The kind that you'd ask your mom to check under your bed for as a small child,
Before you could properly react, besides the way your blood seemed to turn to solid ice in that second of realization and your eyes flying open, another hand-- just like the one on your shoulder, grabbed one of your wrists-- delicately, almost gentle, but a hidden threat lied beneath it-- and pulled it from your ear.
"Hello, my dea--!"
You turned around, and all you needed to get you rushing past the- the creature, the man(?) that stood before you was to realize just how tall it was, the antlers adorning it's head, it's red eyes that seemed to glow all on their own--
and oh.
oh god, those teeth, bared in what you assume was meant to be a friendly smile, but got horribly twisted upon execution-- it's mouth could be considered more of a maw then anything,
Before it could get another word, before it could even finish its damn sentence, you ripped your hand from it's grip-- it was loose, easy to pull your wrist from its clawed hands--
And swerved around it, taking off the way you came. You didn't dare look back, your tail trashed wildly with anxiety-- surely getting sticks and leaves and burrs stuck in it all the while, but you didn't care about that right now,
All you cared about was getting away from whatever the hell had just approached you.
A foolish, almost naive part of you assumed it wouldn't follow you. That it wasn't that interested in you, or that it'd already got its fun from spooking you like a flighty rabbit.
The laugh that seemed to trail after you, seemed to worm into your very head and make itself a nice, cozy little home right in the back of your mind-- told you otherwise.
It dawned on you, maybe a little too late, that this was probably its intention. To get you to run, run like a rabbit being chased by a hunter-- knowing that if it turned around, if it looked back for even a second; it'd be staring down the barrel of a shotgun, one held by a man with a trigger finger when it came to things like rabbits.
You were being hunted.
Pretty fitting for your first night in hell, isn't it?

Agatha All Along - Agathario leaks and theories
Last year they were some leaks about the show’s history, two of them has already happened, and it`s fun to notice how the leaks were right even on the details. So if you don’t want to be spoiled, this is a warning.
The leaks were about some major things on the show:
1. Rio breaking Wanda’s spell
2. Agatha, Rio and Nicholas backstory
3. Teen being Billy Maximoff on William Kaplan body
4. Rio Vidal not being part of the coven (the Black heart thing)
The only part that still needs to be show is Agathario’s storyline, so I will focus on it.
RIO BREAKING WANDA’S SPELL
“She (Agatha) has been trapped by Wanda in a trance like state where she believes she lives in a TV show version of Westview, but in reality, it`s all in her head. In the latest episode of that show, she plays Detective Agnes who is investigating the death of a young woman who is later revealed through a magical toe tag to be Wanda herself. Helping with the investigation is an FBI agent played by Aubrey Plaza, but Agatha soon realises that this agent is her ex-wife, Rio Vidal, who has entered Agatha`s mind and is trying to break her out of Wands’s spell. When she succeds, Agatha wakes up in her bedroom, now completely powerless, with Rio in the room with her and Billy, who had snuck into Agatha’s houss and is hiding in her closet, listening in to the 2 exes bickering”
In the leaks, it is Rio who breaks the spell, not Billy, and I think this will be revealed in the next episode or in the 8th. In the last episode we had Billy’s point of view, I think they didn’t show Rio in the couch because Billy didn’t saw her there, just Agatha.
And that could be becuse she was trying break Wand’s spell trough Agatha’s mind. The scene when Agatha is interrogating Billy, Rio isn’t in the same room, and from his point of view, she shows up after the spell was already broke
Other two things I feel gave some clues is that Agatha’s neighbour said it has been days that she is strange, so Wanda’s death maked it easy to Rio find her and trying to break the spell. And Rio shows up in the begining of the episode, Teen shows later. I think it was Rio trying to use Wanda’s death to get Agatha free from the spell.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Billy being kind of lost trying to do the spell, like he didn’t know what he was doing, in a way Rio wouldn’t, being Death and The Green witch.
One last thing on this part, when asked about Rio as FBI agent on Agatha’s house, Jac answered:
“That POV shot is obscured, there’s not an empty chair there. So I think she was, but it wasn’t - the story of episode 6 is Billy’s path and and what he’s focused on”.
Tumblr media
So in this moment, Billy believes he is the one that broke Wanda’s spell on Agatha, leading us to believe in this too.
AGATHARIO AND NICHOLAS BACKSTORY
“Through flashbacks we learn that Agatha and Rio were married all the way back in the 1600s, before Agatha had got her hands on the Darkhold, and they even had a son, Niholas Scratch. But divorced when Agatha, freshly under the influence of the Darkhold, became obsessed with it, she slowly started losing herself and getting corrupted by its evil power, resulting in her sacrificing their son to Mephisto (is referenced by name but does not show up). Once Rio found out about this, she and Agatha broke up and Rio has been trying to get revenge on Agatha ever since. Rio will be a villain in the series, who appears crazy and obssessive at first, but is justifiably very hurt and angry.” I see a lot of people asking why would Agatha hates Rio so much if it was Agatha who sacrificed their son.
Tumblr media
I think she really believed that Rio would spare Nicholas, being her mother too. And all this hate could be a way to deal with the selfhate and guilt for giving her son in exchange to be more powerful, even if she didn’t believe she would really lose him. She lost Rio and Nicholas, all her family, with that choice, the people she loved the most and were more vulnerable with, it makes sense that she went all power greed and closed off emotionally after that, because it’s all that she had left.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Rio, on the other side, wants revenge because Agatha not just made a deal using their son but put Rio in a position that she couldn’t make any choice. She is Death, she maybe can heal someone, but can not bringe back who is already dead. So she was left alone, without her son and wife, for something that was beyond her control. And with the knowledge that Agatha trade their son to have more power, a quality that maybe made her falling in love with Agatha in their first place.
That would make it bittersweet, what made then falling in love with each other (Agatha as a power hungry and Rio as Death herself) were the same thing that destroyed their family and broke them apart.
Tumblr media
RIO VIDAL NOT BEING PART OF THE COVEN
“The only 2 witches wich can enter the dimension without a coven are the Scarlet Witch, and Rio Vidal, who is powerfull Green Witch, she is supposed to be one of the oldest and more powerfull witches in the MCU. Rio uses the powers of Earth and nature and is said to be even stronger than the Scarlet Witch”
That’s go on with Agatha saying Rio was just a “tourist”. Maybe Rio didn’t even need to be summoned on the Road to appear, she was just waiting for the perfect moment, and Sharon’s death was it. And in the leaks it was already confirmed that Billy was part of the coven, not Rio.
HOW IT ENDS?
One thing I notice from the leaks it’s that none of them talks about the final battle/scene. I think the show is promoting it with few scenes, like a Rio’s betrayal against Agatha, but from the leaks of their backstory I believe will be more emotional, with both of then trying to trown at the other all the hate and pain for what happened, but having to accept and deal with Nichola’s death. Agatha trying to make a different choice, not sacrificing Billy and Rio leting him go alive, in a way she couldn’t do with Nicky.
Tumblr media
But that’s it’s me theorizing, didn’t find any leaks about their final fight, if it’s really between them, the vibe or how it ends.
I don’t think they will die because Aubrey and Kathryn will be back on Marvel. But Marvel likes to kill characters and bring then back later, so who knows.

Marinette had been to amusement parks before, but it'd been so many years since her last one. It was something her parents thought to do every now and then when she was young, and she'd only had so many chances as a teen that weren't tainted with memories of akuma battles. Once she became a full-fledged adult, it was too hard to excuse going to one by herself for fun.
She didn't have an excuse anymore for two reasons, one being her daughter and the other being the tickets that Jagged Stone had practically forced upon her. The man still had just as much energy as he did when they met and appointed himself as her baby-at-the-time's "Great Uncle J," a name that both sounded young and apparently gave him every right to spoil her rotten.
That, naturally, included the tickets, though he'd added at the time that they were a reward for all of Marinette's help throughout the years, whether that be as Marinette or Ladybug.
So there they were, her and the bundle of energy clinging to her hand like they'd be separated the instant she let go, eyes enthusiastically searching the rides and stalls. Marinette was only thankful that she wasn't the kind of child to run off on her own unless it was actually something important and not a whim.
"So? Any rides look good?" she asked, sensing that her little girl was in being so overloaded in her head that she couldn't speak unless prompted to mode. It was just too obvious with how fast she was turning her head, her black hair constantly getting in her face and swishing over her shoulders.
Kalette looked up at her, then grabbed the hand she'd already been holding with her other hand. "The teacups! I gotta know what it's like to be tea in a teacup!"
"Sound logic," she complimented, trying not to giggle. Was it egotistical to think about how cute her child was when said child looked so much like her? "Do you want to eat first?"
"No! Teacups!" Kalette insisted.
"No teacups? You sure changed your mind fast," Marinette joked.
She got a pout in return. "I'm not hungry, really!"
Shaking her head in amusement, Marinette turned around and started guiding Kalette to the teacups ride. There weren't huge crowds or lines since Jagged had made sure to pick a quiet day to buy tickets for, so she was already piecing together what they might do for the rest of the current hour.
If she spins too hard, she might get tired. Maybe we could go on something gentler afterwards where she can just sit and enjoy the ride?
She started searching the area for any nearby gentle rides, but then felt a tug on her hand. She stopped walking and looked down, seeing that Kalette had stilled, staring off into the distance where Marinette was certain the teacup ride wasn't.
"Kalette?" She crouched down, squeezing her hand with a little concern. "What's wrong?"
When Kalette met her gaze, her eyes looked as if she'd been starstruck, her mouth open in awe. She tugged on Marinette's hand - intentionally this time - and pointed, exclaiming, "Mama, that man's got dyed hair just like yours, but blue!"
Marinette felt her heart skip a beat at the familiar mental image that conjured, but she shook the thought away. There was no way that man was there, and she shouldn't be getting distracted by the mental image of someone she hadn't seen in so long.
But then she looked up, following Kalette's point to a man in the crowd that had a little boy with him. The man was decently tall, dressed up a little punk but not excessively so, and had black hair dyed blue at the tips.
She felt her heart clench, recognizing him despite his back facing her. Even the tiny strand at the top of his head hadn't changed, and she involuntarily uttered a tiny, "Luka...?"
She felt sure that there was no way he could've heard her with how quiet her voice had been, yet he suddenly stopped. Her brain fumbled with thoughts about how he must've gotten distracted by something, or was taking in the sounds, or anything else, all of which were put into question when he glanced over his shoulder.
Their eyes met. She couldn't believe it, wondering if she'd tripped and been knocked unconscious as her head hit the pavement, thus making all of this some crazy dream she was having. The screams of people on rollercoasters, the smell of citrus from a nearby drink stall, and the tiny hand squeezing hers were all so vivid, but the sight of Luka Couffaine standing there was surreal.
And then Luka's eyes widened. He turned fully, the boy at his side going with him as he approached, pathing straight towards her.
"Marinette?" He sounded breathless, like he'd ran there. She was still crouched down, leaving the sky as the backdrop behind Luka's face casting a beautiful backlight onto him.
Forcing herself back to attention, she stood up, dusting off her perfectly clean pants. "Luka! Hi! It's—wow, it's..."
"It's been so long," he finished.
"Yeah!" she agreed. Feeling her daughter's dangerously curious gaze burning a hole in the side of her head, Marinette gently pulled her in front, gesturing to her with a free hand. "Oh, this is my daughter, Kalette. Kalette, this is Luka Couffaine, my..."
Friend? Ex? Guy-That-She-Never-Quite-Got-Over-But-Didn't-Realize-It-For-a-Long-Time?
"...He's Great Uncle J's son," she decided, figuring that going with association would be best. Even if she'd stuck with "friend," that was so vague as to be completely meaningless, but Kalette knew Jagged extremely well.
Luka gave Kalette a crooked smile. "Hey, Kalette. Nice to meet you." He gestured to the boy at his side, eyes flicking to both Marinette and Kalette as he introduced, "This is Nika, my son."
Son. Marinette's eyes were unconsciously drawn to his hand, noticing that he wasn't wearing anything on his ring finger. Her free hand falling back to her side, her thumb rubbed at her own ring(less) finger. She reminded herself then that it didn't mean he was single and also that it was none of her business.
"Hi, Nika," she greeted, pretending not to be going through a crisis.
"We were just going to get something to eat," Luka added, confirmed with a small nod from Nika. "What about you two?"
She opened her mouth, but a squeeze tight enough to hurt turned her attention down to Kalette. "What is it?"
"Mama, I'm hungry," she replied, completely straight-faced.
What.
—————
They ended up at a food stall, Kalette making a show of letting "everyone else" choose first out of politeness, as if she cared one bit about what they were having. Marinette didn't doubt that the little traitor intended to pawn most of the food off on her, Luka, or Nika if she ended up full after a few bites, but she couldn't call her out at the moment and left the task for later.
Having walked all the way alongside Luka, things were at least starting to feel more real, especially when their hands accidentally brushed at one point. He had a calm aura that everyone who knew him naturally gravitated towards, and it hadn't faded with time. She started to feel its effects despite the obvious trap her own daughter had put her in.
"Nika, what do you want?" Luka asked, crouching down to his son's level. "I'll order it for you."
"Um..." Nika gave a side glance at all the food items on the sign, but answered noncommittally, "Anything?"
Judging by the disappointment in Luka's expression, Marinette got the feeling that this happened a lot. She was concerned, simultaneously feeling like she shouldn't be involved, but then Luka stood up and lowered his voice to talk to her, like he felt some obligation to explain.
"Nika has a hard time asking for what he wants," he told her. "I don't know where he gets it from."
She muffled a snort behind her hand. At his perplexed look, she couldn't help whispering back, "Oh, I can't imagine where he gets it, especially not with a dad who's always looking out for everyone else and never asks for anything."
He had the decency to look embarrassed by the accusation.
Now that she was officially involved, Marinette stepped past Luka, putting herself to Nika's other side. She sat down on the ground to be more level with him, bending a leg and resting an arm on its knee to give off a more casual impression.
"Nika," she began gently, "do you think he could help me? Keep a little secret?"
The boy stared, confused by her presence but nodding along.
She leaned in, raising a hand to the side of her mouth to tell him, "I'm so bad at picking things; the worst. You know in cartoons where a character waits so long that they grow a beard? That's me, any time I have to make a decision."
Though he tried to hide his giggling, she could see the smile behind his hand.
"It's the same here. Everything sounds so good, I can't decide!" She put her hand to her chest, trying to look extra pitiful. "Can you give me a recommendation? What would you get?"
His once hesitant eyes gleamed with purpose, and he started to look at the list differently. There was a layer of seriousness there as opposed to the reluctance of someone afraid to get invested in something they weren't going to ask for anyway.
"The, ah..." He tilted his head at her. "The soft pretzel?"
"The soft pretzel!" She gasped and hit her own forehead with the palm of her hand. "Of course!"
She took his hands, bowing her head in a dramatic show of thanks, then let him go and stood back up. Leaning confidently on the counter, she held up two fingers and requested, "Two soft pretzels, please! One for me and another for the soft not-pretzel boy here."
She turned to Luka, still grinning, but it faltered at the look on his face: the brows just barely visible between his bangs, the intensity in his eyes, and the lips parted without actually saying anything.
Marinette blushed and looked away, having forgotten how utterly deadly he could be.
—————
After finding a nice set of table and chairs to sit down on, Marinette and Kalette sat on one end while Luka and Nika sat on the other. They all had soft pretzels, Kalette because it was the easiest for someone who - again - was a traitor who didn't care, and Luka for reasons she could only guess at. Perhaps it was really what he wanted, or he'd just been getting food for insurance in case Nika was still hungry, or he simply wanted to match his son.
He was so handsome. She broke off a piece of her soft pretzel and nibbled on it as she observed all the ways he'd grown up over the years. Her young teenage brain, just barely able to grasp the concept of love, did think he was handsome upon first sight, but now she could truly appreciate it. His eyes especially still had so much warmth after years and years, just as she remembered them. She couldn't say for sure if they'd changed at all actually, but at the very least, she felt even more drawn to them now.
Said eyes flicked up from his soft pretzel to meet hers. She pushed the rest of the bite in her mouth, swallowing and trying to come up with a topic of conversation, not wanting to be considered "weird" for staring without reason.
"I didn't know you had a kid," she admitted. "Jagged never told me."
Which was partially her own fault if she was honest. It wasn't that she wasn't interested in Luka's life - far from it - but she tended to change the subject whenever it came up. It felt wrong to hear about the life of someone she knew she hadn't seen in so long. She imagined that Jagged had Luka work with him on occasions like he did with her, but it'd never been at the same time.
Though, worrying that the topic of his kid might be a sensitive subject, she tried to add, "Um, you don't have to share if you don't want to."
He shrugged. "It wasn't anything serious. He was a happy accident, she didn't want a baby but didn't want to abort, and here we are."
She struggled with the idea that something so life-changing was summarized down to one sentence. She couldn't see Luka as having relations with someone unseriously, but she considered that there might've been more to it that wasn't appropriate to say in front of two kids, or to someone he'd only just met again.
"That was sweet of you," she said. "I bet you're a good dad. Being a good big brother probably carries over, right?"
He chuckled, a little shy from the praise. "I'm doing my best, but you saw that I'm not perfect."
"Now you know how it feels to be mortal like the rest of us," she teased.
The comment reminded her of a fun kid's movie she'd watched with Kalette last week. She turned to her daughter to bring it up as a new, lighter topic, but found that said daughter was no longer there. Puzzled, Marinette turned to her other side to see if Kalette had switched just as a little joke, but she wasn't there either.
Her daughter's voice then spoke from across the table, "Mister Great Uncle J's son, what do you do for your job?"
Dread washed over Marinette as she looked to where Luka was, Kalette sitting on his side opposite of Nika.
Luka, oblivious to what she was up to, smiled and answered, "I make instruments."
"Busy-ly?"
She didn't pronounce busily quite right - she might not have even known that it was a word - but he understood. "Sometimes, but Nika comes first if he needs me."
Nika averted his gaze, bashful but not unhappy to be spoken of in such a way.
Kalette nodded vigorously. "Mhm, mhm." Her eyes flicked down to his sleeve, then she grabbed onto it with both hands. "Can I see your arms?"
"Kalette!" Marinette called in a panic, face flushed and utterly mortified.
Luka, unbothered by the request, put his soft pretzel down, then pulled his sleeves back to reveal his upper arms. Marinette's next words got caught in her throat, staring even more intently than Kalette was.
She could acknowledge a pair of nice arms when she saw them. He wasn't some hyper-buff body builder, but there was noticeable muscle. It made sense for the Luka of the past, who was always decently strong from carrying around heavy musical equipment, to still have it in him.
She was so taken for that moment that she neglected to scold her daughter blatantly poking and feeling his arm. She was a little jealous, and the salt from the piece of soft pretzel she'd just finished was making her feel thirsty.
Then, Kalette declared with a beaming smile, "Mama, I want this one!" with a finger still pressing into Luka's skin.
"Hm?" Luka blinked in confusion.
Marinette snapped back to attention, her hands hitting the table. "K-Kalette!"
"He can be my daddy! He's perfect!" Kalette raised five fingers and counted off her reasoning. "He's not famous, he already has daddy training, he has strong arms to pick me up, your hair matches, and he makes stuff like you do!"
Marinette didn't think she'd ever seen Luka's face turn such a bright shade of red before. Had she not been trying to wrangle in her angel-turned-devil of a daughter, she would've found it cute.
Ah, who was she kidding? She found it cute anyway, which was part of the problem.
"Luka, I am so sorry," she said, unable to physically reach and pull her daughter back like a cat owner picking up their kitten by the scruff. "She... she does this sometimes—all the time. She gives me her opinion on the men I meet and their 'qualifications' to be my husband and her dad."
She didn't add that Luka had been the first person Kalette had ever approved of. Was that worse or better than the alternative, considering the circumstances and how unknown Luka's current feelings were to her? Nika wasn't even saying anything, totally unreadable.
Kalette pouted, protesting, "But you told me to always tell the truth!"
"Not like this!" Marinette countered, wondering how such obvious advice for a child - 'be honest' - had backfired on her.
She bit her lip, watching Luka's facial movements carefully. He was staring in her direction, but not at her face, his mouth open but not forming words.
Did Kalette break him? Was that covered by health insurance?
"I..." His mouth shut as he swallowed, running a hand through his fluffy black-and-blue hair. "I... had no idea."
She sighed in relief. He lived.
She tore another piece of soft pretzel off, trying to bring things back to somewhere casual. "This is the first time you met. Of course you had no idea—"
"—that you were single," he clarified, and it became clear then that he'd been staring at her hand before, looking for a ring just like she had to him. "I thought you were still with Adrien."
The name made her brow twitch. The embarrassment she'd felt a second ago washed away into a sea of something else entirely, her grip on her piece of soft pretzel tightening.
"Nooo!" Kalette ducked back under the table and reappeared at her original spot. She whined, trying to pry the poor thing from Marinette's hands, "You're gonna smoosh it!"
While she tried to stretch and squish the pretzel back to its original shape, Marinette let out a tired breath. Shooting Luka a sarcastic look not directed at him, she proclaimed, "Oh, yes, because why would I ever divorce Paris's golden boy, the angel among men? We were Ladybug and Chat Noir, brought together by destiny and the will of people who never left me alone."
The last part was said with extra spite, and she didn't elaborate on if she meant her friends or Paris shipping two teenagers together like they had nothing better to do with their lives. She forced herself to take a breath, having not planned to get riled up on a simple trip to the amusement park.
"Sorry—" she began to say.
"No, I... I'm sorry," Luka stammered. "I know I didn't know, but I should've."
Yet he didn't, which was crazy to her. How out of the loop was he that he missed such big news? Was it intentional on his part? Had he stayed away from news about her the same way she did for news about him?
Her next words spilled out without her meaning to; he'd always been easy to talk to. "It was years ago. The puppy love that got me through a few years of shallow dating where everything revolved around being together couldn't last when we started actually living together. That's around the time you're expected to communicate—" She intentionally said the word as if it'd been foreign to her. "—and we couldn't do that. He'd say he was fine and then blow up later, and I treated life like I was still Ladybug, where everything was on me to fix."
She placed a hand on her stomach, allowing herself a moment to think back, and her other hand went to the top of Kalette's head.
"Then I got pregnant, and I was happy." She paused for effect. "But I realized that I was already taking care of a child and one was more than enough at that age."
Luka's hand flew to his mouth to hide a chuckle that threatened to burst out. He was better at hiding it than Nika, but she still caught it.
Smiling to herself, she stroked her daughter's hair and continued, "So, I got out. Penny even planned out a nice little vacation for me so I could get away from Paris and rethink my life. I needed it; there were so many things I didn't think about until then."
His eyes narrowed in concern, wanting to ask but not sure if it was alright.
She gave a one-armed shrug, not minding. "Trauma, honestly. Turns out that being in a city you've seen destroyed in alternate timelines, were always on edge in since an akuma could attack at any time, and where you always had eyes and publicity on you no matter what form you're in isn't good for your mental health. I only ever go back so my parents and grandparents can see Kalette."
She wished she'd had a drink to sip casually from, but she made due, hoping she conveyed that she didn't need him to feel bad for her.
"It's all in the past," she insisted, and she meant it. "I'm still working out exactly what I want, but I've got a good job, a nice house, and—"
"—and me!" Kalette jumped in, setting the only semi-malformed piece of soft pretzel down on her plate so she could put both hands on the one stroking her hair.
Marinette laughed, pulling her giggly, squirmy daughter onto her lap. "I was getting there! I had to save the best for last."
Her eyes flicked back up to Luka and Nika across the table. Luka had a sad, sympathetic smile on his face, which she'd expected from him, while Nika had a fist in front of his mouth as he looked at both her and Kalette.
"I'm happy for you," Luka said, an emotion somewhere deep in his tone that she couldn't place. "I just wish I could've been there when you needed it."
He really hadn't changed at all, which made her feel even more than in the infrequent random dreams she'd had where they met again. She tried not to let it all show on her face, though her voice shook when she replied, "When you were there, it made all the difference. I know how much you cared about me."
"Care," he corrected without missing a beat. "I never stopped caring about you."
There went the whole "try not to let everything show" thing. She blushed, tucking a lock of hair behind her ears and breaking eye contact with him. "I never stopped caring about you either. Where do you think the dye came from?"
He gaped, leaning forward in his seat. "Really?"
Kalette looked up at her, as best as she could from her place on her lap. "Really?!"
She giggled, shy at the interest but not to where she was going to lie about it. "A few years after Kalette grew up, I finally felt like I carved out a life for myself away from Paris." She still couldn't bring herself to look at him, but turned her gaze enough that she could see his face out of the corner of her eyes. "You know how some people cut their hair as a new start?"
He nodded.
"Well, I dyed mine." She ran her fingers through the pink tips of her bangs. "Kalette liked practicing doing my hair anyway, so I couldn't cut it, but... it felt right to dye it. You always looked so confident with yours, and—"
"It's amazing." Luka sounded like he'd blurted it out, which surprised her, as he'd always seemed to think through everything he said otherwise. "You look amazing."
"Thanks," she squeaked, twisting a strand of her dyed hair. "You too."
He beamed at her, reminiscent of a Luka from the past wearing her silly Kitty Section costume and confessing to her while an assortment of colored stage lights shone bright in the background. It was almost too much for her heart to take.
Nika, who had been silent the entire time, finally spoke up. "Kalette?"
He'd never said the name before and it sounded odd on his tongue. Luka in particular was shocked that he'd spoken up at all.
It was also the first time the two kids had addressed each other, but Kalette replied affably, "Mhm~?"
He glanced at Luka, then Marinette, then back at Kalette. "Can we share?"
Luka and Marinette flushed all over again. Kalette, meanwhile, brightened like the sun and hit the table with her tiny fists, exclaiming, "Yeah we can!"
"Kalette!"
—————
After everyone had finished their soft pretzels (or passed them off to someone else when they were full), it was mutually agreed that they'd continue enjoying the amusement park together, and not just because Kalette and Nika wanted to. It was a chance to reconnect, and it was reigniting positive feelings that Marinette hadn't thought she'd be able to have again.
Luka put the plates in a little stack, then went along with the rest of the group to the nearest trash bin to discard them. Nika had already been holding his hand out, so Luka took it and turned to walk with him, instructing gently, "Let's go."
"Ah—wait—!"
Before Marinette had even realized it, her hand shot out and grabbed Luka's other hand. He looked back at her, immediately worried that something had gone wrong, but she hadn't tripped and there was no emergency that required hand holding of all things.
"Uh..." She trailed off, fumbling for reasoning. "I... don't want to get separated?"
It was a laughable excuse out of context - the place wasn't even crowded - but she hadn't been referring to the amusement park. Seeing him turn away from her and make any distance brought a fear that'd laid dormant for so long.
She let out a small noise as he pulled her closer. Their eyes met, his own half-lidded as he leaned in to whisper in her ear, "Me neither."
She couldn't bring herself to ask him if he meant it the way she'd meant it or the way it had sounded, but the knot in her stomach that had been there ever since their break-up as teens was slowly coming undone. It told her something, even if she couldn't address it at the moment.
Kalette was at her other side, bouncing excitedly and holding her other hand. She was really there, a single mom with her daughter, and now she was with Luka, a single dad with his son. To any onlookers, it really would've appeared like they were two parents taking their kids to the amusement park.
Her grip on Luka's hand tightened, determined not to let go again, and she felt him squeeze back.

Pedro boys and why I'm swiping left on their tinders
Tumblr media
This is all to be silly!! I love them all very much <3
Frankie Morales
His name there says Frankie (Catfish)....with his main profile picture being him holding you guessed it...a catfish. He doesn't have many other photos on there, with the exception of a few older military photos that are so blurry you can hardly tell which one he's meant to be.
The rest of his page is pretty empty aside from the music section, where you actually get the first real glimpse at what this man is about. While his music selection is very respectable, it does not overshadow the glaring issues with his profile.
In short, Frankie's profile makes you think "Am I dating the man? The fish? Or a catfish?" Swiping left fs.
Marcus Moreno
This one isn't his fault! His profile is perfect. No really. All the women at The Heroics made sure to help him with it! His photos are cute and show off all his best assets. The bio is a little cheesy in an endearing "yeah he's definitely a dad" way. The problem then? It's Marcus fucking Moreno!!! Leader of the Heroics!!!!!! On Tinder???? There's no way anyone is going to believe it's really him. I believe there's a verification option on Tinder now, but really...even then Idk. Unless he fully comes out on an interview or something to super casually mention he's on Tinder, it just ain't working. No one likes a catfish! (Sorry Frankie!)
Jack Daniels
Mr. "Tinder What?" himself!!!! Let's say he manages to figure out how to set up a profile and all that. It's gonna be inTERESTING to say the least. His photos are actually pretty solid. An intriguing mix of photos of him on the ranch and photos of him in the Statesmen HQ looking very well put together. Opening line is definitely "Save a Horse! Ride a Cowboy! 🤠♥️" Very on brand for him. Followed by something very pro-american about the flag or serving his country and honestly... that's where I'm gone 😅. We get to see a bit of Jack's political mind in Kingsman and let's just say i don't wanna know the rest of it.
I'm grateful this is Tinder and not Bumble. Because if Jack used the audio prompt and I heard that smooth Kentucky accent...forget EVERYTHING I just said. I would be taking a chance on him. Sorry 😔 I can't fix him, but I will have fun trying!!
Joel Miller
For namesake, we're gonna set this pre-outbreak. There's no time for swiping in the apocalypse. Profile isn't bad just very empty. He's not really trying and it's kinda obvious. His bio reads something along the lines of "Single dad of a spoiled teen" with mostly photos of himself and Sarah on his profile. A few photos of him and Tommy out camping or on a work site.
And as handsome as he is, the profile feels like something his kid forced him to make as a way of getting him off her back. I wanna sympathize and help her out, but I don't know I have the heart to attempt to win over this very clearly emotionally unavailable DILF. So for that reason, I'm swiping left.
Pero Tovar
If for some ungodly reason Pero was given Internet access and had a dating profile... it'd be a disaster. His bio reads something along the lines of "I don't open this app. If you wish to see me meet me at this pub" with approximate days and times he's there.
The first picture on his profile is a way too far away blurry shot of him training. If I was feeling brave enough to continue scrolling through his photos...the rest would certainly be borderline explicit highly suggestive photos of his torso and groin. And whilst I might think about it for approximately .25 seconds any remaining sense of dignity would kick in before I actually did anything about it. It'll sting momentarily, but I will be swiping left.
Ezra
Another man on this list who should absolutely NOT be given internet access. His photos are beautiful but uninformative...the only shots of him are blurred and artistically obscure. He pads the rest of his profile with photos of books he's reading and grainy shoots of the forest.
The bio...if there's a word limit best believe that Ezra has hit it. He used every given character at his disposal and managed to say very little with all of it. Something about a wandering spirit longing for companionship and a couple sexual innuendos for good measure.
While visually and verbally not the worst profile on this list, his pretension is so utterly palpable through the screen I actually don't think I'd be able to make it through the end of his bio without cringing...also his music selection is all just banjo instrumental???

Agatha All Along episode 4 discusion and theories!
Episode 4 spoilers ahoy! Also, I'm going to discuss the FunkoPop leaked spoilers as well, so if you want to remain in the dark, turn back now!
This was SUCH a good episode! I really had fun with it, and we learned a LOT and had a lot of development this go-round.
So they summon Rio Verde to fill Sharon's place as the resident Green Witch in this episode, and already I am LOVING what she adds to the group. The way she's just so casually bloodthirsty and dangerous is genuinely really fun, and I really like how this episode confirms that she and Agatha were lovers in the past and still seem to have feelings for each other. I am mad that the FunkoPop leak spoiled that Rio is Death because this episode did some GREAT foreshadowing regarding that revelation that I'm sure would have thrown us all for a loop if we didn't already know her identity. But her being "in the neighborhood" after Sharon dies, her wanting "more bodies" during her talk with Agatha, Agatha saying "don't" directly at her when Teen was dying, and her hurting Agatha fulfilling her duty. That last one makes me think that she was responsible for taking Nicholas Scratch's life, and that's why she and Agatha had their falling out. I'm thinking maybe Agatha did something to obtain the Darkhold that inadvertently traded Nicholas's life, and maybe she thought whatever she did WOULDN'T kill him because she and Death were lovers (but of course was mistaken). I'm very excited to learn more about Death and Agatha's history.
Although, I am curious about two things with regards to Rio being Death: 1. She's a Green Witch and in fact says she is THE Green Witch. Why is Death of all beings considered a Green Witch? What's the lore there? 2. Were all the signs indicating that she might be Blackheart intentionally misdirections, or is there something else going on here that pertains to Blackheart? Keeping these questions in mind going forward, and I want to marinate on them.
Alice, her mother, and her family's curse was at the forefront of this episode, and I really enjoyed having some additional development for Alice. She was by far the most "normal" of the main cast, so it was nice that we got answers about her first so that she didn't fade into the background. Last episode, I deduced that Alice was cursed by some malevolent entity that plagues her family bloodline and would be after her now that the mother is dead, and on that I was correct. I thought the entity would be Dark Tonji from the comics, but the curse demon was given no name. I'm just gonna call it Dark Tonji since it never got another name XD I loved the reveal that Alice's mother's cover of The Ballade is a protection spell that has been keeping Alice safe for years because of how prolific it is played. I thought that was a really fun touch, and I LOVED the performance of the cover. It was very emotionally powerful watchiing the demon be destroyed by it. I am curious if we'll learn more about where the Dark Tonji curse came from and what that entity was. I'm inclined to say probably not since this episode tied a neat bow on top of everything, but we very well might! I'd love to know more if they have more story to tell.
I also liked the reveal that Alice's mother died "on the road" but not the Witches' Road, she died "on the road" because she was on tour. I like the wordplay there, and I thought it made for a nice subversion to expectations.
We got more of Agatha having a genuine affection for "Teen" in this episode, and seeing how much she cared when Teen got hurt and was close to dying in contrast to how she basically used Sharon as a meat shield to die for her and then never bothered to learn her name speaks VOLUMES regarding how much Agatha cares about Teen. This episode basically spells out that Agatha thought Teen WAS Nicholas Scratch, but Rio confirms at the end that he is not. It also seems to suggest that Teen doesn't even know who put the sigil on him at all. I'm still very much of the opinion that it's Wanda's magic, and that he's Billy Kaplan (the latter seemingly confirmed by FunkoPop spoilers - thanks a lot guys). But I'm interested in if Agatha might suspect that about him, and I wanna see how their relationship changes now that Rio has confirmed that he's not Nicholas.
Jen talks about a man without magic binding her, and I'm fairly certain the man she talks about is the same one she saw in her hallucination. She states specifically that he did NOT have magic though he did bait her into trap. I'm calling it right now that he DIDN'T bind her, she bound HERSELF unknowingly as a trauma response to his attack. I'm pretty sure about that one.
We see more of Lilia having visions and then saying things without remembering that she says them. I almost wonder if the mysterious dead woman she saw in her hallucination last episode is somehow literally inside of her. Two souls trapped in one. I also just want to note that I enjoy the consistency in her characterization as being the one who takes the most umbrage with witch stereotypes like she did in the previous episodes. It's a small thing, but I like characterization bits like that that help set her aside from the others.
Aaaaaaaand now I really don't want to wait until next week for the new episode. These continue to be SO good, and I NEED more.

Gojo headcanons bc ive got too much time on my hands
bro ate chalk as a kid and ive got proof
look at his kid self for a sec, he’s got a grown out buzzcut and the blue eyed stare. thats a chalk eater
you can’t convince me he’s a good swimmer
he’s lanky and tall, bro gets swept away the min he is near the ocean. he’s built to be shark food, sorry luv
the cloth he wears to cover his eyes is raggedy as hell
let me explain. he wears it constantly both in and out of battle, he wears it in any weather, and let’s be real he’s so odd that he probs sleeps in it sometimes
this leads me to believe that even tho he almost never gets hurt during a fight the blood and grime gets all up in the cloth
no amount of Tide or even acid could get rid of the STENCH that mask holds
it smells like ten cans of bounce that ass. one whiff could, quite literally, kill an old man
he’s a chronic podcast listener
tried to become one of those skater kids, failed miserably. geto never let him live it down
i think he’d make a great partner but if you listen to Hozier he will cause a scene
basically what im saying is he’s jealous of Hozier
Gojo knows that no matter how strong he is he will NEVER compare to that man’s vocals/lyrics and what they do to you
que Gojo trying to sing your fav Hozier song(s) but he can’t match the pitch which sends you into cardiac arrest
other than that he’s a pretty good singer, could probs serenade you to sleep
you know how everyone has an irrational fear? yuh his is birds
you ever see him interact with one in a normal way?
you see a bird, he sees a sack of organs with hollow bones that sore through the sky and sometimes they can talk
he pisses his pants when he sees a macaw
he’s a rich bitch and it’s a problem. not cuz he’s an ass abt it but bc he spoils the hell out of the teens
we know he would buy Megumi anything in the world but Yuuji and Nobara get the same treatment
he saw Yuuji’s orphaned ass and immediately transferred HUNDREDS to Yuuji’s bank acc
ain’t no student of his gonna be broke, that’s for sure
probs carries around pics of Megumi from when the teen was a kid
some are cute such as Megumi at the beach or having a fun at the zoo. others are of Megumi fighting for his life
i feel that when Yuuji entered the equation he also started taking pics of him during cute, fun, or important moments
very much sentimental older brother energy
whenever Gojo gets sick or injured he either becomes a massive baby or denies it until he’s dead
depends on the problem tbh. if he’s got a head cold he needs to be hospitalized but if he got his legs cut off he’d ignore it for weeks
you know how most men’s body wash or shampoo is named in, what’s considered, “masculine scents”
like redwood, campfire smoke, whiskey, fucking piss water
yuh he’s not a fan
i don’t think he’d really like those scents. in his mind, why does smelling like burnt coal or salt = masculine?
he probs just grabs whatever he likes, maybe orange scented stuff or even subtle vanilla
whatever cologne he wears tho is fucking delicious. you smell it and immediately your knees give out
i think if you gave him a huff of old spice tho he’d just disintegrate
im thinking of his general hygiene now, he has a solid routine
it’s not a million steps, probs just good quality face wash, serums, and moisturizer
that being said he suffered horrific back acne as a kid. dont ask how I know this, i will eat you alive
he looks and acts flawless but we know the truth. he sucks at card games
Yuuji’s biggest flex is he beat Gojo at go-fish 28 times in a row
he says calabunga and not a single person can stand it
that’s it for now, i’ll probs add more headcanons later
thanks for coming to my ted talk, i hope this post finds you before Sukuna does
(this is all mildly unedited, soz for mistakes)

Another cute scene I thought of:
Kitty: what did you guys get on question 6?
Pietro: I got 7
Wanda: I got 9
Kitty: Damn, I got 42, guess I flunked this math quiz… Reader, what did you get?
Reader, with this expression 🫠: I got George Washington…
-Later-
Professor Xavier (who’s favorite student definitely isn’t reader, what are you talking about?): I got your tests back. Except for Readers, sadly your test…drowned. You get an A though
- ❤️ Anon
🤣😂😅 Oh dear... I can see that happening! But I raise you this: What if Reader actually was correct? Now that would be hilarious 😆...
• I headcanon Reader is great with things like algebra and multiplication, just maybe not word questions in math or English
• Reader is good with drawing notes, charts, and diagrams/pictures for science, biology and anatomy classes. Scarily accurate, in a way, at least compared to the other teens closer to their age
• Reader has weaker arms, but really strong legs. They're a good defense on sports teams, so they're more likely to block someone or hit/kick/strike the ball to someone else (they accidentally kicked someone in the shin, hard enough for then to fall over in agony)
• Reader is good at baking/cooking. They tend to be okay with measurements, but struggle a bit when it comes to dry vs. wet ingredients and diffent oven temperatures
• I'm going to say the campus appears similar to a boarding school: Everyone lives there, basically
• Reader does not have a roommate; they are invited to stay over with others, though... or have a few platonic yans invite themselves to stay over with Reader in their room
• The town near the school (it's a few miles out) is pretty much like a ghost town, save for a few odd individuals... There are places to go for field trips, such as a science and history museum, an aquarium, an art museum, and some landmarks/environments such as a mountain range, the beach/coast, and a few forests...
• The Town has a few places to visit, for food or clothes or movies, it's just... really, really quiet... If it weren't for the few people living there, one would think they're in the middle of nowhere...
• Is there a uniform? Not exactly? Everyone has to wear a wristband that states their name and school number, but otherwise? There isn't much of a dress code
• The campus has dorms, it has a few built-in cafes and galleries, as well as an auditorium, gymnasium, pool, garden, library, and a few other places... (Don't look beneath the /&>=# &!))... )
• The students and teachers have their own living areas and recreational rooms. Sometimes the students throw large sleepovers in one or two of their rec rooms, because no one's room is big enough to hold everyone; Reader, once they join the school, is being invited to these sleepovers almost every time
• The students, the mutants ones, have their mutations. Sometimes they have to take a day or two off, due to them (namely those who have feral mutations and instincts, those with mind-reading or telepathy, those with specific needs where their mutation has to be controlled, ex. Rogue wearing gloves, Scott wearing glasses, etc.)
• Reader has a mutation, but for some unknown reason, it isn't showing or known to the students or teachers... They've had tests done and had the feral mutants see if they can scent the X-gene from them (it causes a distinct scent), and so far Reader has passed each test... It's confusing for a lot of them...
• There is a dark secret buried beneath everything, something pulling a few characters' strings and forcing paths and actions... But this secret keeps itself hidden and unknown... What I can say, without spoiling anything, is that it's not one person who's behind it... It's several...
And these are a few fun facts to know about the 📒Mutant High🧪 AU!
(Thank you, ❤ Anon, or Bee🐝!) (Or BeaBee🐝!)

so who's khun macau really?
some of my thoughts on macau so far, because i don't speak about him as much.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
macau comes in asking for his father. fanon theory suggests he knows about the abuse gun puts vegas through, but if what we know of macau is true, he loves his big brother very much. he trusts him. he looks up to him. now if he knew about the abuse, why would he go to gun instead of vegas?
in some ways, it could be the culture. I'm asian, i grew up in a similar household, sometimes you don't even realise it's abuse. i didn't when i was macau's age. and macau doesn't go through the *physical* abuse. he goes through the emotional one. not once do we see gun interacting with him except in this scene. macau is a victim of parental neglect.
so another theory could be that he goes to gun with only these thoughts in mind : "I'm hurt, maybe now he will notice me".
we know macau doesn't hold contempt for vegas, not something that is visible outright at least, but i can safely say he doesn't. he doesn't begrudge vegas the fact that their father is more involved in his life, probably because he understands it's because vegas is the next in line.
but with that in mind, even if macau knows of the abuse, he is just a child, after all. he wants what all children want ; parental affection. and he is starved of it. sure he gets its from vegas, but not from his father.
to me, this scene seems just that. i don't think macau knows about the extent of the abuse. he probably knows vegas gets berated by their father, but how often? macau goes to school. macau is not involved in the mafia business. macau is just a sheltered spoiled child who is so neglected by his guardian that he might just think getting hurt would gain him that affection.
the interaction between macau and porsche preceding this scene is sort of an indication. macau is bored, or is he upset? he is throwing stones into a koi pond, but his expression doesn't speak of boredom. he seems to be having fun, skipping stones, you know? like normal teens do. just harmless bullshit. but maybe he had something on his mind before this. maybe he was just contemplating stuff, who knows? and then porsche comes and opens his mouth and reminds macau exactly what he was trying to forget and adds fuel to fire, even after macau asks him to leave him alone. he calls him a "maid's kid" and we know it gets to macau, because he brings it up later. why though?
does macau also harbour the same thoughts that vegas does about being part of the minor family? does he think porsche is taking an indirect dig at his side of the family? or is it more personal? does that comment upset him so much because he is the second child, the neglected child, the one who is unimportant, the one who could as well be a "maid's kid" for all that it matters.
is macau just a spoiled brat or is he just the second son who never gets seen? we'll never know. but there's more to macau theerapanyakul than meets the eye.
(also, vegas was so going to throttle porsche after he heard what he did to macau. look at his face, all scrunched up pomeranian)

Dawn Summers (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Tumblr media
(cw abduction)
She's the classic "people are annoyed because she acts like a teen" character. There's a variety of spoiler reasons why people feel this way, but they are wrong to hate her as a whole. She introduced interesting conflict, and is a fun character to contrast the college aged cast around her. She's a babby and deserves the world despite the world constantly traumatizing her
-
Dawn could have burned down a couple of buildings and id still be like you know what that’s fair. She learned she really only existed for about a year and then her mom dies and then her sister dies in her place and then her sister comes back but she’s different and all distant. Then the only other parental like figure who helped take care of her while her sister was dead dies. Just a whole lot of life changing things happening in like two years.
-
Oh man, this poor girl has it so rough. She gets accused of being whiny and annoying (which she kinda is. in like. one episode.), but she's been through so much! She was created from a glowing ball of green energy and given fake memories of being Buffy's sister, then she goes through the trauma of finding out she's "not real" and watching both her mom and sister die within a few months of each other... but some people still think she's annoying, I guess.
-
Dawn is brought into being as 13 year old girl. Unlike the rest of the main cast she is played by an age appropriate actress and acts the most like an actual teen would. Within her first year of existence her mom gets brain cancer, seems to get better and then suddenly dies anyway after they all thought she was out of the woods, Dawn finds out her entire existence and all her memories are fake because she’s a cosmic key made to look and act like a teenage girl so her chosen one sister would protect her, she gets kidnapped, her close family friend gets feeble minded trying to protect her, and then her chosen one older sister dies to save Dawn’s life. In her second year of existence she manages to bring her sister back from the grave only to have her sister become horribly depressed while also having to give up her education and take whatever job she can get because she’s basically Dawn’s single parent now. Dawn reacts fairly normally for someone who goes from the slightly spoiled younger sibling to a massive source of pain and trauma for herself and everyone around her. If anything the show doesn’t give the time and focus necessary beyond a couple of episodes to do this storyline properly. Of course she’s annoying, younger siblings usually are. Of course she makes bad decisions, NO ONE IS CHECKING IN WITH HER ABOUT ANY OF THIS AND THE ONLY PROPER ADULT IN HER LIFE FUCKED OFF TO TEACH HER SISTER A LESSON ABOUT BOOTSTRAPS.

Gotham!Dad!Jonathan Crane x Reader Headcanons | Scarecrow As A Dad
Tumblr media
• NUMBER. ONE. DAD. 💖
• The second he heard your child cry when you were giving birth to him/her, he promised to himself he would protect you two, no matter if that meant killing someone.
• He's the one who had everything prepared for the child as soon as you 3 arrived home. He bought clothes, toys, diapers, everything a child could possibly need!
• He loves carrying & holding your baby in his arms 💞 He'll hum a kids lullaby so your child can fall asleep in his arms🥰
• If you're the one holding the baby in your arms, he'll stay by your side rubbing you back and just admiring your child with heart eyes♥️
• Beyond all the excitement he has about being a dad for the first time, he's obviously nervous. He really never properly thought about being a dad or parenting someone. But luckily, he has you to comfort him, flattering him for his new-dad skills.
• His phone gallery is full of pictures & videos of your baby tbh, he just thinks he/she is the most adorable thing he's ever seen 🥺
• Always playing with your child. He does the classic "peek-a-boo" play with your child either when the child is laying on his/her crib, or when he/she is sitting on his/her baby chair.
• He loves cooking and feeding your child! Even if you insist on doing it, he'd tell you not to worry and relax because he's going to take care of everything 🥰
• He would always place several clothing options in front of your child so he/she can choose his/her own clothes! He thinks that's a fun thing to do
• If the child is a girl, he'll be extremely overprotective of her...as she grows up, he'll teach her to defend herself. He's also already nervous about thinking about her teen years and her future boyfriends 😅 He's already to kick ass if some asshole hurt his baby girl's feelings 🥺
• If the child is a boy, much like the girl, he'd be prepared to teach him everything he might need on a future from a very young age. I mean, he's a well-known villain in Gotham, his kids need to know how to defend themselves! If the baby is a boy he would probably have a lot of fun with him 😂
• Of course he can't harm children, but he'll make it very clear to the bully to stop molesting his child. You have no clue how he stopped the bullying to your kid, but what matters is that your child is now respected at school 😅
• Constantly takes him/her to the park or to an ice cream shop and spoil him/her all the time 🥰
• If he has to go do a villain duty with the Legion, he'll always leave you in their base with a gang member he trusts and stayed behind so he/she can take care of the two of you, and his mind is at peace.
• When he comes back to the base after a mission, he'll always greet you with a kiss on your lips and wouls grab the baby and playfully raise him/her to the air and then he would smooch his/her little face 💗
• He doesn't care about showing off to The Legion of Horribles about how soft he is not only with you, but also with his baby 💖
• He would bring the baby's crib to your bedroom and place it next to the bed where you two sleep together.
• He loves taking your child to school! Mostly when he finds out someone bullies his baby. He'll take him/her to school, and would probably make his child tell him which kid is molesting him/her.
• If he sees your child crying, he'll immediatly rush to him/her and comfort the baby, asking him/her to tell him what happened so he can take care of it🥺 He would also comfort him/her by buying his/her favourite chocolates & candies and watching kids movies!🥰
• He looks like a bad boy on the outside, but on the inside he's just a teddy bear when it comes to you & the beautiful child you two had.

Alright, I’m caught up on PLL: OS and I have some...thoughts/theories
First, I should preface this by telling everyone who might be reading (and some of you are aware) that I am a moderator on the Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin reddit and a few weeks ago we had someone aggressively spoiling major plot points that turned out to be confirmed as true. It was unfortunate, but the moderators catch it all in the filters. We worked our asses off to keep the spoilers from reaching the sub.
NONE of what I’m writing about includes anything that I know. I will never disclose that information, as I believe everyone should go unspoiled. So anything that I talk about in PLL: OS has absolutely no correlation to what I know. I won’t bring up those plot points at all. I talk about things I don’t know. So you won’t see anything true here. Only speculation.
Now...so episodes 4 & 5: (spoilers below cut)
A lot happened in episode 4, notably Imogen’s stages of grief. I try to remember that Imogen is grieving the loss of her mother, but if she talked to me the way she talked to Tabby’s mom…ohhhh, chile. Then again, after seeing what horrible people the moms were in the flashbacks...maybe her lil pregnant ass is right.
I love Faran. I love that she takes no bullshit.
The Sheriff is an asshole. Still. And the fact that Noa’s mom had drugs, but WAIT...
CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE FACT THAT THE BOTTLE SAID “Rivers, Caleb” ON IT?!?! Is Caleb in Millwood?? Whaaaaaat? It might have just been a callback, but still.
My heart broke for Imogen during the Ouija board scene, because I said the same things to my mom after she died. It hurt. Bailee really nailed that, and so did the others. This is where they are bonded. This is how it happens. This is where their friendship blooms. I don’t think Davie killed herself.
The whole Psycho movie concept is awesome and it answered a ton of questions about Tabby as a character. Her control pinged my radar as someone who has lost control in the past and that ties back to the locker room cams. I had a hunch a while ago that Tabby was date-raped. This episode all but confirmed it for me. Explains why she buries herself in movies. She can’t get away from what happened to her, so she redirects and internalizes and uses movies as a way to cope.
I think Noa is up there as a favorite. She’s scrappy AF and her self-defense moves are on point. I shed a lil tear when she called to turn her mother in after being attacked. She’s got a hard outer-shell, but seems soft inside.
Ep 5:
Holy shit. The mothers were terrible to Angela. JFC. Maybe they deserve what they get. Maybe they deserve the Davie treatment. That’s horrifying. They were worse than Alison in PLL. A little pack of bullies. I would like to side note that I really love that we’re seeing characters we should like (adult moms) and their teen counterparts. Personally I’m conflicted, because I want to like the adults, but their teenage actions were despicable. I like having unlikable characters more than I thought I would.
Fun fact: Mouse wanting to tell someone what’s going on mirrors how Emily felt in the first season of PLL, which is kinda cool since Lea Salonga is related to Shay Mitchell.
“I’ll bring walkie-talkies from my moms’ pawn shop.” Omg, Mouse is such a dork and I love her. But we have got to talk about the old dude she is talking to. I am SOOOO uncomfortable. It’s so dangerous. What is she up to? I have theories.
The Faran/Kelly scene in the diner was really sweet. I like that Faran was 100% open to talking to her about self-harm. Despite her actions in the episode, she really does care.
Umm...so the creepy pedo Wes apologizes and then immediately goes back to “I do care about you” even though he’s sorry? Nah, not buying it. I don’t like that Tabby is back under his authority again. Hate it.
Halloween party when some dude it stalking you? Sure, sounds like a splendid idea.
Shawn is the only good man on this show. Change my mind. Well...okay, I’ll concede and say that Chip seems real sweet and that Mouse’s friend (I’m sorry, I can’t remember his name) is chill, too. But the whole football team (besides Shawn) can get rekt.
Tyler is the worst. He just hangs on to women like slime. My theory is that he sexually assaulted Tabby or Imogen (or both).
JFC, I am cringing so hard at this Mouse dinner roleplay scene. Stop. STAHP!!! This is weird. I don’t like it. I was literally physically uncomfortable watching it.
Faran going off on Kelly (or Karen? IDEK) was epic.
Stoned Mouse rivals Drunk Emily. I can’t choose though.
Noa’s, “Settle down, Tyler or I’ll get Shawn to beat the shit out of you” followed by Mouse’s “Or I’ll just do it.” Damn. Girl went from meek to killer. The girls are really coming into their own. Their friendship is wholesome. I’m here for it.
I am in love with the Faran/Tabby team up against Tyler. Faran’s little laugh after Tabby punched him. I died. “Should have shut your fucking mouth.”
I knew what was coming as soon as Tyler went into that bathroom. I mean…I might have just become a Masked Creeper fan. Cleaning up the town, one asshole at a time. Maybe I’ve just watched too much Dexter. But the thing is he had Imogen alone and didn’t hurt her. He could have gotten to any of the girls to hurt them...but he didn’t. It leads me to believe he only truly wants to punish the guilty.
Theory: Mouse was kidnapped as a child and that’s what’s up with all the missing posters and the survivor’s guilt and wanting to comfort parents who have lost their children.
Another theory: I always had a theory that Imogen’s baby was a product of rape. Though, still not confirmed, I highly suspect so. That’s why I was a little infuriated when she panicked and went to the school counselor to talk about abortion. It’s a hot topic. I won’t say more. But that scene pissed me off. She was a school nurse. She should have referred Imogen to talk to a doctor.
Girl’s secrets/theories:
Mouse- I believe she was kidnapped as a child on Halloween.
Imogen- I believe the baby is a product of date-rape. Explains why she’s detached from the baby and doesn’t seem to care when she puts herself in danger.
Tabby- I believe Tyler (or someone else...God if it was Wes, ugh...) raped her.
Noa- As of now I think her secret is that she was simply protecting her mother and I don’t know where it’s headed going forward.
Faran- Still trying to figure out what she has going on beneath the surface.
Anyway, that’s all I got for now. Here are some highlights I quite enjoyed.
Faran channeling the fandom re: Tabby’s movie references.

Yes and no. The Layton franchise tends to write women as either sideline support like Flora or the catalyst for a man’s character development I.e. Katia from Pandora’s Box, Claire from Lost Future, Angela from Miracle Mask. And that’s just side characters. But I think this is the one franchise that can both write women really well and not at all. In order to keep this essay short, let’s use two prominent examples: Flora and Emmy. Two main characters from their respective trilogies
The original games had Flora, Layton’s adopted daughter was the only recurring female character in the gang since the end of the first game Curious Village, and yet shes still relegated to the sidelines and is often used as a plot device or a damsel in distress. In Pandora’s Box, she secretly followed the professor and Luke on the train they were taking cos she didn’t want to be alone again and Layton was happy for her to join. But an hour later into the game’s story, she’s kidnapped and replaced with Don Paolo in disguise. That’s it. She’s completely gone from the rest of the game. This was lampshaded in Lost Future where Flora gets rightfully angry at Layton and Luke for not letting her take part in their adventures, yet because of the severity of their mission at the time, Layton decides to break the promise he made to Flora and just up and leaves her at his apartment, leading her to chase after them and join them in “Future” London to force them to bring her along and yet…she ultimately does nothing substantial until she’s kidnapped again.
The writers really have NO IDEA what to do with Flora after the events of Curious Village and instead of dropping her entirely, they always bring her back cos she has the cute uwu anime girl appeal. It not only makes Flora feel like a nothing burger of a character, it makes Layton look like a neglectful guardian.
Which is even more depressing when you remember Flora’s story in the first game, Curious Village, was her losing her mother to illness, m her father building an entire village of robot people to keep her company until she grew old enough to live on her own and when the father died, he put her in a giant tower cos she couldn’t stand the robot replacement of her new mother (yeah sure let your socially malnourished daughter live in a tower away from everyone) And he set up her own adoption to be treated like a grand prize rather than just…letting the village look after her after her dad died? I mean yeah they’re robots programmed to be her friend yet they have their own lives and jobs so it’s not like there’s any ethical complications there.
Now on the opposite end of the spectrum, we have Emmy, an adult character introduced in the prequel trilogy who serves as tritagonist and assistant to the professor. She’s fiery, energetic, resourceful, inquisitive and can kick all kinds of ass. She’s the ultimate girlboss and I freaking love her. And while the end of the trilogy gave us a shitty twist regarding her I won’t spoil here, she still had much more characterisation and personality than Flora.
I also love how despite initially wanting to be Layton’s assistant, she isn’t set up to be a love interest for Layton but to just be a companion, mostly cos Layton proved her innocence after being framed for pickpocketing when she was a teen and treated her with kindness (bare in mind this is in late 50s Britain, a teenage girl being treated with respect and dignity by a grown man back then was fucking unheard of)
So Emmy is patient zero of how to have a cool side character by just writing fun scenes with her. And it’s clear Level 5 had a lot more fun writing her. She also isnt perved on by the camera and isnt drawn with big cute eyes and an uwu sad face unlike a lot of anime women.
The only exception to Level 5’s rather blase treatment of women is with Katrielle, who debuted in a spinoff game where she was not only manager of her own agency, runs circles around politicians and lawmen with her razor sharp instincts, is a fashionista with an arrogant personality yet is kind to everyone she meets. She has no love interest, not an emotional catalyst for another person’s character development. She’s unlike any woman in any previous Layton game, which is why I love her so much.
Also, I want to shout out to Arianna from Spectre’s Call cos Luke is the one serving as the catalyst to her character development cos she’s his best friend and nor the game or main characters force her to come out of her shell cos the traumatic stress she went through having no parents and only having her brother as companion/caregiver and internalised the rumours of her being a witch understandably makes her closed off to the world so Luke tells her “when you feel better, you can open up to people again.”
Like. Level 5 you can be legit GOOD if you put your mind to it and don’t resort to standard anime tropes and shit, so PLEASE! YOU CAN DO BETTER

Fair Trade Masterlist | Joel Miller Masterlist | Back to Main Masterlist
Fluttering your lashes open, you blinked back the sleepiness and cringed with the white light blaring into your eyes. Being a little disorientated and woozy, you slowly sat yourself up and rubbed your face with your hands, but looked through the gaps of your fingers to see a small, young looking brunette haired girl staring back at you with a big smile.
“Hi! How are you feeling?” She greeted you at the foot of your hospital bed while seated in a chair with her legs crossed. She had a notepad in her lap and waited for your answer, smiling still.
“Uhm, I’m ok?” you answered her and she heard your confused tone, the brunette sat up in her seat and explained “You’re in Jackson, if you don't remember. You’ve been asleep for sixteen hours and you have a hairline fracture to your ankle, so you’re stuck in a cast. I hope you don't mind but I signed it.”
“A cast?” Pulling back the sheets, you were surprised at hearing that you have a cast of your foot and sure enough you saw it with your own eyes. Wow, the doctors around here have done a good job, maybe you underestimated Jackson, y/n. But who is this girl? I wonder if she is a volunteer.
Speaking to yourself inwardly before looking back up to the girl, you cocked a brow and asked “You signed my cast as Savage Starlight?”
She nodded her head happily. After grabbing a comic from her bag and showing it to you, she pointed to a girl on the cover and you saw the words ‘Savage Starlight’ written on the front.
You thought to yourself that this girl must be younger than you thought, maybe mid or late teens. After smiling at her, the young girl relaxed and shared more. “I heard about what you did to the man who trapped your foot and I thought it was pretty cool.”
“Was it Savage Starlight kind of cool though? Because the girl on the cover of the comic looks awesome and I merely told a guy to have fun dying” Laughing to her, you quickly placed a hand to your mouth and apologize “I’m sorry, I shouldn't say those things to a kid”
“Pfft! It’s ok, everyone in Jackson has heard about it anyways”
“Oh” you lay your back into the pillow and look embarrassed. Everyone knows about how you told Max to have fun dying. You shouldn't really care, but you now wonder what people think of the new girl in Jackson, after quickly piecing together that you are going to be staying here for a few days, you’re not looking forward to meeting anyone.
This girl at the foot of your bed seems cool though. She grabbed a small handbook from her bag, showing you the front cover and read it out for you “No Pun Intended, Volume Too.” Then, after reading a few puns to you, she made you laugh. So she is funny too.
Some were good, others you have heard of before and a few were just downright cheesy, but you chuckled with her nonetheless and even offered one of your own “My dog can do magic tricks, it's called a labracadabrador” You ruined your own joke by explaining it to her but she laughed anyways. Then you asked where your dog was.
“Joel took her out for a walk, he shouldn't be too long.” She smiled and settled your arising anxiety on the whereabouts of Fizzy, but she could see your face light up at the mention of Joel's name and added “So, are you like boyfriend and girlfriend?”
Hm, it was just dinner and sex after all, nothing else Y/N . After shaking your head to her, she grinned mischievously and teased “Joel did the same thing. He said no but his face said otherwise”
Smirking yourself, you were just about to speak but Joel entered and addressed the young girl “Ellie. You know you shouldn't be in here, you have to let y/n sleep” She kicked up a fuss with the man while your dog jumped up at her, happily wiggling her tail.
With the curtain drawn, Joel didn't see that you were awake and only when you exaggerated a cough did he turn. Fizzy jumped onto the bed and whined during her licks on your face. She pushed you back through her excitement at seeing her mama and you had to stop her “Ok. Ok, I'm here girl, relax.”
Then you looked up to the pair staring at you. Joel greeted you shyly and Ellie laughed at him, she hadn't seen Joel nervous around a woman before and she found it hilarious. He sighed, closing his eyes and shook his head. You found it funny too and looked at Ellie to smile at her.
“So, this is the Ellie I've heard so much about then.” Speaking to them both, you looked down to your cast and chided yourself openly “I should have caught that sooner, Joel did mention you liked reading comics”
After looking back up to the pair, you formally introduce yourself to Ellie and she does the same before Joel interjects “All right young lady, It’s late and you’re supposed to be at home, so let's go.”
Joel told you to hang on a moment and Ellie said her goodbyes as he walked her out to the hallway. You loved how he spoke to his daughter and hearing him say ‘home’ felt wonderful but what made you giggle was when you could hear her taunting him outside. “Joel and Y/N sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g. First comes lo-”
“Ellie that is enough. You are fifteen not five”
She laughed more to him and defended herself “Well you’re the one who told her about me, that's getting serious Joel”
Their voices grew quiet as they walked away but you could hear Joel grunt to her. Laying in the bed with your dog, you bit your lip and smiled to yourself at what Ellie said. You knew Joel wasn't much of a talker so maybe it did mean something that he shared these personal details about his life with you.
At some point during your thinking you had closed your eyes and fell asleep. The next time you awoke it was from the touch of a cold hand running across your cheek, when you opened your eyes Joel leaned down and kissed your lips. He surprised you with how forward he was being as he slipped his tongue inside your mouth.
Craning the back of your neck with his hand, he sat on the edge of the bed and lifted your head towards him. His hands ran down your back and when he reached underneath your thigh, he squeezed your flesh, then he moved his hand further in between your legs and squeezed again.
“J-Joel…” moaning out his name, you went to shift your position to give him better access but grimaced over the pain in your ankle and pulled back “Fuck! That shit hurts.”
“Well I can't ever imagine being caught in a bear trap feels good y/n.” He chuckled to you and after pinching his side from his teasing comment, Joel jerked and apologised.
Judging from his reaction, you saw that he was ticklish and when you bit your lip, expressing a devilish smile he smiled too and warned you not to do it again.
Fizzy came up between you both before you could even contemplate doing it again, and he spoke to her “This little girl hasn't left your side until I took her for a walk to, uhh… You know”
You knew what Joel was implying and while it was funny to watch him avoid saying it, you thanked him and said it for him “Thank you. I can’t have my dog shitting all over Jackson, what will people think of me?”
He laughed and shook his head, then you looked at Fizzy and spoke to her while Joel listened. “That’s right, you can't be making a mess around here little girl. People already know the reason I am here, so we can’t give them another reason to judge, right?”
Even though you were joking, Joel had picked up your query. He no longer laughed or smiled, instead he looked as serious as ever and placed a finger under your chin, lifting your head to look into his eyes as he declared “Don’t worry darlin, no one would do that around here…”
He stopped midway what he was saying to brush his lips over your ear and what he said next, sent a surge of arousal straight to your heat. Joel dropped an octave and whispered into your ear “...If anyone were to say something to you or your dog, I’d hurt em’ anyways baby”
Pulling back to look into your eyes, Joel witnessed your irises expand. With your eyes wide, he knew it wasn't from fear but from surprise. You were surprised that hearing his threats of hurting anyone that may upset you, had actually turned you on, so much in fact that you pulled him in to kiss you again.
As you both came closer together, Fizzy moved away and that is when Joel began pulling down the strap of your vest shirt.
Kissing his way down your neck slowly, Joel nipped at the top of your breast and tucked your shirt underneath to have better access. Looking up at you, he licked his lips and stated “Still got my mark, huh baby?”
“Yes… It’s beginning to fade though” Closing your eyes and blowing out a sexual sigh, Joel attached his lips over your nipple and swirled his tongue around it while mumbling into your chest “let me fix that”
Your hands found their way through his hair and when he sucked on your sensitive skin, you grabbed handfuls of it between your fingers, moaning at the sensation.
Before it could go any further, Fizzy jumped off the bed just as Tommy entered the room with Maria. Instantly, they turned to look away while Joel’s younger brother jibed “Oops, sorry brother. Didn't mean to interrupt, we’ll just give you guys a moment”
Over Joel’s shoulder you could see that the couple had stepped behind the curtain to give you a second to cover yourself back up. When you cringed to Joel and tried to pull up your strap, he stopped you and shook his head.
You understood just how filthy he could be as he placed a hand over your mouth before ducking his head back down and biting onto your nipple, hard.
Thankful. That was how you felt towards him after he released your breast and pulled up your shirt. Placing his hand over your mouth stifled your moan and you were thankful that he did it, otherwise you would have looked like a deer in headlights to Tommy and Maria.
When they came back from around the curtain, it was Joel who did the talking and yet again, you were thankful. Tommy looked at you both and asked how you were feeling. Lifting your leg off the bed to show him, it was Joel who answered “Never better”
He chuckled nervously, and your cheeks began to redden. Joel and Tommy are brothers, they know each other like the back of their hands, so you know that with Joel answering for you, it was a silent message to his younger brother to kindly, fuck off.
“I uhh, I’ll make this quick. Y/N, you’ll be staying with us until you're healed up, after that we need to talk about making improvements to your bunker. To make it safer. We’ve thought that maybe setting up an alarm of some kind might help, in case you ever need to signal us.”
“Ok” nodding to them sheepishly, Tommy then offered to feed your dog. When you said yes, he said his goodbyes and called Fizzy’s name to follow. As soon as they were out of sight, you dropped your head and gasped.
“I can’t believe you did that!” with your hand over your mouth, your giggles were muffled as Joel turned to ask “Did I make you uncomfortable, doll?”
Dropping your hands and grinning to him, Joel realised that you weren't angry at him, just shocked. Then he was taken back by your questions “You really like playing with my nipples don't you? What is so special about them?”
Joel huffed a chuckle before shifting himself to sit behind you. He lay your head on his chest, like the same way he did when he bathed you after sex, then Joel admitted “It’s no secret that I find you and your breasts sexy y/n, that cat is out of the bag…”
Shaking on top of him as he laughed with you, Joel stopped to continue what he is saying more seriously “But I am not a man who has casual sex with women…” Turning your head to look at him, Joel’s voice almost broke “I’d certainly love another date y/n but I ain't beating round’ the bush anymore. I've wanted you since our first trade together.”
“Even though I damn near killed you? When I didn't believe you were Tommy’s brother?”
Joel leaned in to brush his lips over yours, whispering “Precisely. When you easily subdued me and pointed a gun to my head, you had me then and there”
You moaned to him and planted your lips on his. Joel slipped his tongue inside your mouth and began pulling your vest over your head, along with pushing your pants and underwear down to your knees. Joel opened his legs and trapped you between them as he ran a hand down your torso.
You stopped him from reaching your pussy and broke the kiss to tell him no. Before Joel could ask what was wrong, you spoke first “Please baby, just fuck me instead..” giggling into his mouth as you added “no beating round’ the bush”
He laughed too, shaking his head at your humour before lifting himself up off the bed to pull down his own pants. “Let me do the work baby”
After shifting positions to give you both easier access, Joel laid you flush against his chest and bent your knees, then he lined himself up and penetrated you deeply in one swift motion.
“God! You’re so fucking wet y/n” Holding onto the back of your thighs, Joel pistoned his hips up into you and set a steady pace. He could feel and hear your arousal squelching around his cock and he loved it. Very soon, he struggled to move as your walls began to constrict around him and he moaned “Nughh! So tight too baby”
“H-Harder Joel, P-Please - OH GOD!” Wailing out to him as he wrapped one arm under your legs, he slipped out when increasing his pace and lined himself back up and shoving his cock back inside of you. Knocking the breath from your lungs, you could barely speak as Joel fucked you deep and hard, “Yes. Just. Like. That, fuck, fuck, fuck!”
Joel kept to his brutal pace in and out of your cunt, even when you began clenching around him, he groaned deeply when penetrating through your tight grip. He kept hitting a spot so impossibly deep inside, that you felt a familiar sensation and warned “Joel, I think I'm gonna wet myself”
Joel didn't stop though. Gripping onto your leg tighter, he kept fucking you and slapped your ass, demanding “Squirt on me baby and cum on my cock”
Moaning highly to him as the stars erupt behind your eyes, your orgasm blows over your body beautifully and you do in fact squirt all over Joel. His hips falter before he pulls out and spills his seed between your folds, it feels warm and you wish that you could feel it inside but you know you can't.
“God damn baby. You are fucking perfect” he pants from beneath you and gently lowers you on your side, beside him. After catching his breath, Joel stands and removes his clothes fully then turns his attention to you. When he sees you avoiding his eye contact, he looks directly into your eyes and repeats what he said “you hear me baby doll? You are perfect y/n”
Joel removed your clothes too and was careful when handling your ankle. He ran the water in the shower that was in your room and placed a bag over your cast to keep it dry. While you were in there, he quickly replaced the sheets on the bed and joined you.
Wetting your body under the spray, Joel ran his hand up your back and rubbed them around to your front. Holding them out for you to give him the soap, he stood close to your back while washing your front. After bubbling up the soap around your breasts, he ran his hand down your stomach and towards your legs.
You wobbled slightly so Joel held you tightly while finishing off washing you. When he stood, you took the soap from his hands and returned the favour and ran the soap up his chest. Still holding onto your hips, Joel kissed you and let the water ripple down your bodies.
After telling you to hold onto him, he turned to let you get his back. When you were done, you had a very rude idea pop into your brain, so quickly acting on it, you slapped Joel's ass before he turned to you and teased “How does it feel, huh?”
He looked you dead in the eye and retorted “You wanna play games like that baby, then bend over and let me show you how to properly smack an ass”
Biting your lip, you were excited when you turned around and placed your hands on the wall. Joel kneaded the flesh on your ass but the spank never came, instead he held onto your hips and thrusted his dick back into your cunt.
"Oh fuck! Joel..." You wailed with content at the intrustion and it felt so good to be full of him again. Pushing yourself back into his cock, you whined "So fucking big baby"
“C’mere darlin” Pulling you back, he held you close to him while slowly grinding his hips. Joel never fails to surprise you, as he now changes his pace from earlier and makes love to you.
His thrusts are gentle and passionate when he wraps an arm around your chest to hold you still, and with his whispered praises into your ear, it didn't take long for you to climax.
Joel was a pleasing type of lover, and he loved to please you. He could have gone all night with you, but he couldn't as he knew the doctor would visit soon and didn't want them seeing you exposed this way.
Luckily, Joel had some clothes for you and he helped you get dressed after getting dried off. When he offered you something to eat, the doctor knocked on the door so he moved towards opening it and greeted her “Sam. Hi. Y/N’s just through here.”
“Hey there Joel, how have you been doing?” She came through and beamed a big bright smile to him, and he replied “Ok” Her smile dimmed down a bit when introducing herself to you, at first you thought it was a little weird but kicked yourself instantly for thinking it.
C’mon y/n, you might’ve not been around people for a while but that doesn't mean everyone is against you. She did take care of your ankle after all - Speaking to your inner voice, you thought that the poor woman is probably just a little nervous, like yourself.
Sam checked over your cast carefully and spoke to Joel about your fractures. Without addressing or looking at you. So you told yourself again - she’s just shy, y/n…
Joel turned and smiled obliviously at you, that eased your arising anxiety and you smiled back. After Sam was finished talking, Joel told you “I’m going to run to the canteen and see what I can grab for us. Won't be long, doll” Then he nodded to Sam before leaving you alone with her.
Looking at Sam, you smiled and spoke first “Thanks for patching me up by the way, you did a good job” She expressed a fake smile and replied “Thank you, I’m pretty good at what I do” Keeping the conversation going with her, you asked what it is like in Jackson.
“It’s really nice here. Safe and homey, the people are great too, especially the Miller family, why? You thinking about staying with us?”
Looking down to your cast briefly before looking back to her, you nodded your head and confirmed “Yeah, just a short stay until I can walk again.”
“Good.” She spoke back quickly and it left you feeling confused. Good for visiting Jackson or good for not staying?
You couldn't help feeling like this woman had some ill feelings towards you. It’s unexplainable but you feel something behind her fakery. Her tone when speaking to you sounds like it’s put on and you’ve caught her rolling her eyes twice now.
“So, where will you be staying?” her question pulled you from your thoughts and her face dropped when you said Joel’s house. Just as she was asking why you would be staying there, Joel himself re-entered and she went quiet.
With wrapped up sandwiches in his hand, he gestured them to you and cheered “We we lucky baby. They were closing” You saw her face contort even more when he called you baby, now you thought maybe she was jealous.
You thought a lot of things, maybe she was an ex of Joel, someone he’s affiliated with in the past or someone he has turned down, or maybe she’s just head over heels for him. The fact was, you weren't one hundred percent sure, so you couldn't let these thoughts of yours spiral.
“Am I good to go, doc? My ankle is ok?” Breaking the tension with a couple questions, you watched her face shift. Her whole body did too when Joel looked at her, she puffed out her chest, fluttered her lashes and smiled widely “Yep, all good. I should get going”
Joel looked back to you and even though it may have been a sly move, you pulled him down to kiss your lips. Opening your eyes during it, you saw Sam look over her shoulder and scowl at you before storming out, that was the hammer hitting the nail on the head for your thoughts. Sam was jealous of you.
Joel noticed something was off and asked if you were ok. Nodding your head slowly, you smirked and almost giggled “Mm-hm. I'm just hungry that's all, handsome.”
“Was she nice to you?” Joel was serious when asking you. He heard your stifled giggle and thought maybe she had made you feel uncomfortable. Pulling him to sit on the bed beside you and grabbing the sandwiches, you lied to him “Yes. She was nice to me”
You didn't want to lie to him, but when Joel told you earlier that he would hurt anyone that upset your feelings, you wholeheartedly believed him. After the incident with the bear trap and the bandits, Joel helped you stand and handed you over to Tommy to take care of the bastard who hurt you.
While he went over to Max, who was struggling to breathe on the floor, you watched Joel put the final, killing bullet into his head before he walked back over to you. He kissed you again and whispered into your ear “No one hurts you and gets away with it” So you know he means what he says.
You know he wouldn't go and kill Sam over her jealousy, that would be ridiculous but you didn't want to start any unnecessary drama or cause a rift between the residents here in Jackson. So if lying to him would keep that peace, then so be it. Sam didn't make you feel threatened anyways.
A little while later, Tommy called Joel through the radio and teased “Dear old brother of mine, is it safe to enter? Are you guys *ahem*... Decent?” In the background of the call, you could hear Maria telling him off and it made you laugh. Joel pinched the bridge of his nose and chuckled before answering him.
You wanted to tease Joel so bad during his answer but decided not to, just in case it’s not the type of humour Tommy or Maria enjoys. After he turned off the walkie, you admitted to him what you were going to say and he nearly spat his food out when laughing and asked “What made you change your mind?”
“I knew you would find it funny, just wasn’t sure about Tommy or Maria.”
Joel smiled at you and told you to listen when his brother gets there, that you would understand. As soon as Tommy entered the room with Maria and your dog, Joel began teasing him “Oh, come to interrupt us again, did you?”
“Shit, it didn't look like I interrupted much. No offence Y/N, but what you see in my brother is a mystery cause’ he’s a dull and grumpy looking motherfucker.”
Your mouth fell open over their brotherly bickering, both you and Maria laughed at the pair. They were like children. Two, fully grown man babies passing insults back and forth to each other.
It was all fun, nothing was said maliciously but you loved to see it. You loved seeing Joel act this way with his brother, it’s different to the way he treats Ellie but both were amazing to see.
He is protective over Ellie, and maybe even you, but you see Joel very differently here with his younger brother, it makes your heart open up more to him than it already has. Now you can understand a little more why he is so cheeky, it’s because he’s had plenty of practice with Tommy.
As he stood to laugh and talk to him, Maria came and sat beside you instead. She nudged your arm gently and joked “I've always wanted you to visit Jackson, but not under these circumstances.” Smiling to her, you shook your head and laughed. “Right?”
Tommy cut in on your conversation, adding “Y/N, if you really wanted to come see us, you should have just said so instead of sending Fizzy” Picking up his banter, you retorted while looking to her and stroked her head “Actually, I sent her to bring your brother back to fix my generator again.”
When Joel snickered, dropping his gaze, Tommy’s mouth fell open as he realised what you were insinuating. Tommy had a feeling something sexual had happened over dinner but obviously didn't ask his brother about it, it’s none of his business but he knew something happened. He could tell simply by the way Joel was walking, when he came back to the hydroelectric dam.
“We’re having a party tomorrow in the rec hall for Thanksgiving, would you and Fizzy like to come?” Maria pulled your attention away from Joel winking at you, with her kind invitation you smiled nervously “A party… Is the whole town going to be there?”
“Yes, and we promise that we will make sure you have fun.” Trying to convince you while she smiles, her use of ‘we’ made you chance a look over to Joel to see what his expression says about it.
It didn't help, because he only licked his lips in a sexual manner while he slowly looked up and down your body and leant against the door frame. You had to stop yourself from biting your own lip at the sight of him.
Looking back to Maria and telling her ok, she expressed her excitement when talking over the details with you. Tommy made a sexist jibe, muttering ‘women’ under his breath to his brother and they laughed. You and Maria heard it, so you handed her a pillow and together, you both launched them at the men.
Snapping your attention to each other after saying ‘asshole’ in unison, you both giggled about it. You saw that there was something in common with her, and that was calling either one of the Miller brothers an asshole..
After some more chatting with the leader of Jackson, you realised how nice she was when in her own environment. When she was comfortable, not at work with running a community of god knows how many people, basically, when she was just Maria. It was nice seeing her this way and you got along really well.
An hour later, the couple were saying goodbye to you and Joel. When they left, his lips were on yours once again and you asked what was wrong. He broke it off and pulled you close to him instead “Nothing is wrong doll, just nice to have you here is all.” After smiling at him, he got himself comfy on the bed beside you.
Laying together under the sheets with your dog, Joel told you he would take you to his home tomorrow as it was too late at night to go now. Ellie would be asleep and he doesn't want to disturb her, you didn't mind either way so long as it meant you slept next to him.
Surprising to yourself, sleep came fairly quickly but Joel was still awake. He figured that all the activity today was a lot more than what you were used to and settled his head onto the pillow after placing another kiss to your cheek. Then, sleep finally came to him shortly after.
The next day when you awoke, Ellie visited again and you were happy to have another conversation with her. More so now, knowing that she is Joel's daughter as you wanted to get to know her better.
Joel stood after a while of you two talking, more like listening to her joke about her old man, and made his way over to the canteen to grab breakfast for you all.
When he left, you asked Ellie an honest question “El, help me out here. I had a strange encounter with the doctor yesterday, but I don't want to talk about it to Joel or Maria. If I tell you what happened will you tell me if I'm crazy or not?”
“Was it Sam?” Ellie didn't even have to listen to what you had to say, she cut straight to the point and knew exactly who you were talking about.
When you nodded, she brought her voice down to a whisper and shared “She’s had a crush on Joel for a while, but she’s kinda crazy about it. Countless times now she has tried to come onto him and he always declines. She's weird, man. I’m telling you but listen, you didn't hear any of this from me”
“Of course.” Nodding your head and silently promising her that you won't say anything, you now realise why Joel was really asking if Sam was nice to you. It didn't anger you, but you worried about how the night was going to go at the party, knowing what you know now.
Just like the saying, call on the devil and they shall appear. Sam walks into the room and cheerfully beams to Ellie to greet her. She toned down her voice again to greet you. but Joel entered shortly after and her voice went up a notch again. You and Ellie looked to each other to cringe.
You had to turn your head away from the sight of Sam putting her hands on your man. She cackled to him and grabbed his bicep over their chat, you could see Joel looking to you in the corner of your eyes and you knew, tonight was going to be an interesting time…

Random Disorganized Thoughts on Marcus
1. Lately I’ve seen a rise in people discussing Marcus. The fandom has always been highly interested in Marcus. I can see why. He is the first real villain of Lab Rats. The actor who played Marcus had great stage presence along with amazing chemistry with the rest of the cast of Lab Rats.
2. Unlike Krane or Gisele who are the cackling villain, Marcus plays mind games. Krane only something close to this in “Taken”(making Donald leave the trio in the lab so he could them out. While Donald tries to save Tasha and Leo) and ”You Posted What?!”(using S1 to expose the trio leading to government arresting them. It gets the trio out of the way). Though, it’s not really on the level of manipulation of Marcus. Krane’s plans are actually quite smart. Marcus, on the other hand, played the long-game. He waited and learned, then he struck.
3. The Marcus and Leo dynamic is one of the most memorable villain/hero dynamics we had the show. Most of the other villains, it’s pretty standard. With Marcus and Leo, it’s almost a battle of wits. Leo knows Marcus is up to no good and is bionic. Leo is trying to prove Marcus is the bad guy and bionic. The problem is no one will believe him. Marcus is enjoying messing Leo. Granted a few times he tries to kill Leo, but the most part, Marcus sees Leo as a non-threat. He messes with Leo because, he can.
Tumblr media
4. Douglas is the second most memorable villain on the show. I’ve discuss Douglas impact on the show in the past. Douglas has another interesting dynamic with cast due to being related to most of it. Another discussion for another time. I do think it’s worth pointing out that Douglas and Marcus do have a very unique relationship during the Marcus’ villain days. As Douglas is revealed to be one pulling all strings. It’s interesting to find out that Marcus, the villain we have seeing for most of the show, isn’t actually the big bad.
5. The whole bionic showdown episode and Marcus storyline reminds of the New Teen Titans storyline by the legendary team of Marv Wolfman and George Perez called “The Judas Contract”. This is the storyline in the comics that is basis for Terra’s storyline in Judas Contract Movie, Season Two of Teen Titans cartoon, and Young Justice’s Terra(there are likely other places this story has been adapted that I am forgetting). It is one of the most famous storylines of this run and the Titans in general.
Slight spoilers for comics ahead. Terra in comics(unlike her adaptions) is straight up evil. From the get-go is a mole with the intention of betraying the Titans. She was never their friend and is only using them for information which she passed on to Deathstoke(Slade Wilson) and the HIVE. Later she helps Deathstoke systematicly take out the Titans(except for Dick Greyson as he wasn’t Robin at this point. Fun Fact: This is the storyline where he takes up the Nightwing mantle). Jericho(new friend and future teammate) helps Dick Greyson(now Nightwing) save the Titans and take down Deathstoke. Without spoiling too much, Terra has mental break and ends up trying to killing everyone in HIVE (both hero and villain even herself. Like I said she is straight up evil in the comics) by using her earth powers to bring the whole building down, but only ends up killing herself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The parallels are there(I am going to assume you the plot to bionic showdown). Marcus being pretty much straight up evil, never a friend the heroes, being a mole from the start, and always planning on betraying the heroes. He even dies by the end of the story. Though, Marcus doesn’t commit suicide like Terra does(both die by building falling on them). I see the parallels with the heroes being taken out systematically to have the hero that got away end up saving everyone. There even is a “I am your father” twist in both(don’t want to spoil it). It’s very interesting how many similarities there are.
Now there are a lot difference since the New Teen Titans comics are much more mature than Lab Rats. The comics do have 1980s Bronze Age fun, but the New Teen Titans comics is a high-stack character drama at its core that just happens to have superheroes in it. Lab Rats was sitcom at its core that just happened to have action, story, and drama elements.
Tumblr media
It worth pointing out that Judas Contract storyline left the audience and Titans with important message of everyone is not what they seem and be careful who you trust. The impact of this storyline stayed with Titans for years in a big ways and subtle ways. The impact of this storyline only went away with the 2011 New52 relaunch and the Judas Contact Storyline was published in 1984. That’s how much of an effect Terra’s betrayal had on the Titans.
There is no real message of Marcus’ betrayal for the Lab Rats other than maybe listen to Leo. The effects of Marcus’ betrayal, you can see hints of. There is nothing as massive as the comics. Like seriously, Beast Boy was so messed up after this. He went manhunt for Slade and pretty much almost murdered him. Gar the youngest, most naive and happy-go-lucky, member of the Titans at point turned into this ball of angry and hurt. It was hard to read Gar in this state. Again, the New Teen Titans was much more mature title than Lab Rats so it is to be expected.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both stories are really good stories, but I do find the similarities interesting. I wouldn’t be surprised if the creators of Lab Rats took inspiration from Judas Contract storyline since at one point, the New Teen Titans was the best selling comic in the world. The comic was outselling Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Spider-Man. Even outselling Chris Claremont’s run on the X-Men.
6. I think what interests me is that a lot people want to give him a redemption story. I can see why people want that. Marcus is a fun character. He has unique relationship with pretty much all the cast. A redemption would be fun to see. I don’t know how that would actually happen, but it would have been fun to see.

Showing the Bird
(A/N): This was requested by an anon, I hope you have fun reading it!
Summary: Spencer's daughter always is quick to pick things up she shoudn't do, this includes a certain gesture with her hand and middle fínger.
Warnings: A kid showing her middle finger
Wordcount: 1.6k
✨Masterlist✨ _____________________________
Spencer is a technophobe. That’s why (Y/N) has limited access to any kind of electronics, which is a good thing for a three year old. The only sort she is allowed to use is the TV in the living room and even there her choices are limited to the several DVDs the little family owns and cable TV. Emily is in the process of persuading him to get a subscription to a streaming service for (Y/N)’s sake.
“Ok, Sweetheart. One hour of TV today before eating dinner and getting ready for bed, like we negotiated”, Spencer reminds his daughter before turning it on a kid’s channel. She nods, already engrossed by Peppa Pig hanging up on that sheep for being able to whistle.
Earlier the two Reids made a deal: If (Y/N) got all the states and their capitals right, she is allowed one hour of television. This may sound like he forced her to learn this information, but it’s really just a way to stimulate her brain and the toddler is eager to learn. Spencer only has to make it look like she has a gain in it.
The young doctor doesn’t like to leave his kid alone while watching TV. It’s not because he can’t leave her on her own for a few minutes. Spencer wants full control over what (Y/N) sees and what not. Especially he can tell what effects something has on a child and he doesn’t want her exposed to things she shouldn’t be subjected to at her age.
“Daddy, why are the animals talking to each other? I know they are translating all languages to us, but a pig speaks not sheep language.” Spencer is slightly baffled at her question. It’s mostly cute that she explains most things to herself in such a plausible way.
“Uhm, well Sweetheart. You have to-” Saved by the bell. Or more like the ring of his cellphone. Still he hesitates to get it. It’s Morgan, who probably calls because the team needs help with the case.
Spencer had to stay behind for this one, because he planned on taking his vacation days with (Y/N) to fly up to Las Vegas to visit her grandma. But Diana spontaneously took the opportunity to go on a trip with the sanctorium. Now the two do all the things they don’t have the time for in their regular day.
They already were at the aquarium, visited three different museums and even went to the movies once to watch the latest disney movie. Spencer really had to keep himself from pointing out the inaccuracies to not spoil (Y/N)’s fun.
Now the father debates taking the call. He doesn’t want to leave his daughter alone while the TV is on, but also doesn’t want to talk about a case right in front of her. The option of turning the TV off is also from the table, because this would be just plain mean.
So he answers it, afraid that the voicemail will turn on. “Hey Morgan, wait a second, I’ll have to leave the room”, then he puts his hand over the speaker and turns to the toddler. “Sweetheart, I have to talk to your Uncle Derek real quick. I’ll be right back.” She nods and goes back to her cartoon.
But while her father is in the room next door, the audio gets awfully quiet. Frustrated, because she isn’t able to understand properly what they are saying, (Y/N) looks for the remote. And there it is, waiting patiently for her and her little toddler hands.
But instead of turning the volume up, she accidentally changes the channel to an old cop movie. Curious about what is happening on the screen, the girl leaves it on for a few seconds. Upon entering a room, another man greets him with his middle finger raised. (Y/N) looks at her own and tries to copy that movement. On the third try she kind of gets it.
Getting bored of not knowing what the plot of the movie is, she turns it back on the cartoon she watched earlier and settles back down on her little chair next to the table full of books (Spencer put it there to avoid her sitting too close to the TV and straining her eyes while watching her shows, the distance is perfectly measured).
Just as (Y/N) sits down Spencer re-enters the living room, feeling relieved because he was able to help his team. “Hey Sweetie, is everything alright?” Happily she nods, showing him the bird.
Spencer’s face? Just imagine the shook Pikachu. “(Y/N)! You don’t do that! This is really mean!” He tells her in a stern voice. Where did she learn that from? He doesn’t know it, but the genius is almost a 100% sure she saw someone on the street doing it, (Y/N) always was quick to pick things like these up.
The toddler looks at him with a sad face, close to tears. “I-i-i didn’t know. I’m sor-sorry”, she says, beginning to cry. Oh no, this is not what Spencer was aiming for. “No no no, don’t cry. It’s alright. I’m not mad at you. You just don’t do this, people can get really hurt by your gesture.”
After calming her down, he thinks of something they can do outside of their apartment, to forget the little incident. “Do you wanna go to the office with me? All your aunts and uncles are going to get there soon and maybe we can go eat dinner with them?” Excited by the thought of seeing her family, (Y/N) nods and jumps up to get her own little go bag.
It’s a bright pre-packed backpack with small coloring books, normal books, pencils and other knick knacks she might need when she goes out with her father. The only thing that they have to put in is her favorite stuffed animal of the day. They call it like Spencer’s work bag, because the toddler once overheard the word at the office and refused to call it something different than his.
“Hey, look at who decided to give us a little visit!” Penelope exclaims as soon as the team leaves the elevator. (Y/N) tries to keep up with her preppy step, desperately holding onto her hand to not lose her.
As they finally come to a halt in front of everybody, the little girl smiles sweetly at them. “Hi”, she says in the most adorable voice. But instead of doing her usual wave, she raises her small hand with her middle finger standing out.
You just hear a faint “NOO!” and a crashing noise before Spencer comes along in a jog. He scoops his daughter up, looking her into the eyes. He takes a few steps away from where the team is standing.
“(Y/N), what did we say about this gesture”, he asks her in a serious tone. Instantly tears start to form in her eyes again, but Spencer knows he has to be strong now. “(Y/N), you have to stop doing it. It can really hurt people. Do you remember when Jason made fun of the braids Auntie Penelope put your hair in?” She nods.
Meanwhile the team stands awkwardly in the background, not knowing what to do. They never really witnessed the genius reprimanding his daughter in front of them. Though it’s not directly in front them.
“You were hurt by his words. The same is with the gesture you just made. We don’t do this to people, we don’t want to make them feel bad. Now, I don’t want to punish you, because you didn’t really know the meaning. Just apologize to your Aunties and Uncles. Next time you do it, there will be a hard no on TV for a week.”
Quickly wiping her eyes, the toddler mutters a small “Ok Daddy.” Spencer’s heart hurts a little at that, but he needed to be stern in this one.
She wiggles out of his grasp and slowly makes her way over to the others. (Y/N) gives each of them a hug, apologizing individually to them.
“So, who wants to see the new pictures of Sergio I got on my desk?” Emily asks in a cheerful tone to break the awkward tension. Immediately the girl takes upon that offer and bounces off to the desk with her godmother in tow.
Spencer still stands near the elevator, watching the interaction going down through the glass doors. Hotch pats him on the shoulder. “I know it’s difficult to be mad at them or strict even, but you did the right thing”, he reassures him briefly before making his way to his office. The genius smiles, as a parent you seldom get encouraging words about how you raise your child. It kind of feels like walking down a path with closed eyes. But on both sides are deep rivers with piranhas in them.
Derek takes a place beside his best friend. “You know, as serious as this is, it’s also as funny. I mean how she just smiled sweetly as a cupcake and deadass pulled her middle finger up like nobody’s business? My man, in your case I would keep a close eye on her during (Y/N)’s teen years.” Both laugh at the bizarre situation.
But luckily the toddler learned her lesson from this and stopped showing people the bird as a greeting. This is until she learns the next inappropriate thing, she should rather not do.
