Poor Jonathan is forced to keep his relationship with you, his beloved girlfriend of over a year, a secret from his father because he fears that he would use you for his experiments to test out his fear serums and observe you like a wild animal.

You understand his concerns and agreed to keep the relationship a secret from his father after hearing stories about him, which weren't pretty ever since his mother's untimely passing from a fire.

Luckily, your family approves of your relationship with Jonathan because they can see that he's a sweet boy with good manners and knows that he doesn't act like his father.

One day, you and Jonathan were just hanging in his living room, cuddled up together on the sofa, watching TV and basking in the moment. After the movie, you received a text from one of your parents telling you to return home for dinner.

Before you leave, Jonathan gives her a sweet kiss on your lips before you leave his home, completely unaware that his father had watched the whole thing like a silent hawk, seething with rage in his eyes.

Needless to say, the two ended up in a nasty conflict where Gerald is upset that his only son went behind his back to get himself a girlfriend and insults you and said that you don't deserve him in a cruel tone of voice.

A week later

You haven't heard back from Jonathan and are growing concerned until you suddenly get a phone call from the local hospital and hear his voice begging you to come visit him.

You rushed yourself to the hospital with all sorts of thoughts running through your head, wondering what happened to him and what led to his hospitalisation. Once you've made it to his hospital room, you had to catch your breath after all that running before settling down onto a chair next to his bedside.

Poor Jonathan held onto your hand so tightly that you thought he might have crushed it by accident. You do your best to calm him down by gently drawing shapes with your fingers from your other hand which has managed to calm him down for a bit.

Eventually, he tells you what happened with his father, and the reason led up to where he is now. You can't help but feel guilty that your sweet boyfriend is in the hospital because of you, which has enraged his father to harm him with his sick experiments.

Jonathan reassures you that it's not your fault and that it is bound to happen at some time during the relationship. It feels like ages since you've arrived until a nurse comes in to tell you that visiting hours is over.

You reassure him that you'll visit him again soon and you give him a kiss on his forehead before leaving the room to make your way back home as you must have worried your family when you ran out of your house after getting the phone call.

She was known to everybody, really anybody, cops, criminals, people in power, tourists and many others.

Y/n was considered an untouchable figure meaning she could not be arrested because she was too useful to the police and could not be imprisoned in Arkham because she was considered sane despite her job and the environment in which she lived.

The job that was so useful and for which she earned so much was crime scene cleaner, she was therefore in charge of cleaning crime scenes to perfection without leaving traces or anything else in exchange for money and favors.

Y/n was a young girl with y/h/c hair and y/e/c eyes that were almost always dull, a consequence she had to get used to because of her job; the girl tended to always wear black clothes. She was used to always carrying a briefcase and a card that she used as a business card to gain new clients and advertise herself.

She was really good at what she did and was knowledgeable even did almost all of Gotham, she knew things that many people did not know, she had secrets from almost every person in that city but she had not yet become anyone's enemy since she was simply doing her job.

The young woman had bonds longer and more complex than a spider's web and they varied markedly, going from the GCPD to the Mafia families of that city, to people in power to homeless people; groups that were not at all connected to each other except for the fact that they were all part of the human species or almost all of them and they all lived in Gotham City, a city of crime where if you could do a grisly job you could get very rich.

Thanks to this path that began when she was only ten years old, improving quickly and gaining customers, fame and money along with favors, she was able to get a name that inspired her way of dressing.

The citizens of Gotham began to call her "the demonic angel," not because she was an assassin but demonic stood for when you sought her help and ended up selling your soul to the devil while angelic because she was a good-looking young woman, with a shy and innocent appearance who could fool anyone using her sweet, kind and strangely selfless personality.

That’s when Gordon gives him a file that was given to him by a “white haired ghost kid”. It’s a detailed report written similarly to a scientific journal with detailed sources that are mainly first hand accounts from deceased victims of the Two-Face drug.

At the very end of the paper there’s an address to a Gotham University dorm room with a sticky note next to it that says “if you need help with death or the undead. Yours truly; Danny Fenton.”

I’m thinking about Gotham Knights! Jason and his chain necklace-

He wears it because he knows the silver looks good on him. You gave it to him on his birthday and he always keeps it on him, he even wears it under the uniform. He fights with his hands a lot, so wearing a ring wouldn’t be the best option, but he can tuck the necklace under his shirt or zip it away safely under the suit. It’s a little piece of you he can always keep with him close to his heart.

Jason tends to rub his fingers along it while he’s thinking. It helps him focus. And the weight of it grounds him sometimes when he has some bad memories come up.

He’s smitten with you, he won’t admit it but he wears it to give you easier access to him. He shivers when you trail your fingers across the links. How your fingertips whisper over the sensitive skin on his neck nearly makes his knees buckle.

He likes when you use it to pull him close to kiss him. The way your fingers brush his skin as you yank him to you like you were pulling a collar. And god does he love that.

Hell, he’ll even put it on you. It’s his favorite thing for you to wear, especially if it’s all you’re wearing. When its links sparkle against your skin, glistening against you— the most beautiful jewel he has ever seen.

If the DC universe was an echo of Danny’s world. What if the continents of their planet shifted enough where Amity is now in New Jersey and had then become Gotham.

And when Danny died underneath the portal a part of his death fractured and imprinted itself into those various worlds. One of them being Gotham, where Danny’s home ironically used to be where Wayne Manor used to be.

So just imagine it, you’re coming back from patrol, grimy, sweaty, and with questionable intentions by dressing as an overgrown bat when suddenly the lights dim. It dims and brings darkness, only enough light to catch the beady marble eyes of the bats you fear.

And then electricity jumps in the middle of the room, flinging itself around like an agitated snake in wide open circles.

Everyone is backing away, some weary, some cursing, some just half way out of their own suit.

And then a child — barely as old as your youngest now, flickers to life before you, screaming and screaming, wailing in pain as the scent of burning flesh mingles into the air. You can see the boy, black hair and blue eyes that underneath the bright light that burns them is causing black to turn white, and blue to turn green.

The electricity crackles and when the boy is about the drop, limp, certainly lifeless, he vanishes as if nothing had ever been there.

But he comes back, he always comes back, in the moment of calm and in the moment of despair, echoing that painful wailing of death.

It’s so wrong.

It’s very, very wrong.

It didn’t even matter anymore why the boy showed up, only that this moment of pain continues to haunt the cave of heroes.

Continuously haunting, even as some whispered apologizes when the boy appeared. Continuously haunting, even as some provided songs of comfort when the boy appeared. Continuously haunting, even as stories of Gotham are told and promises (though uncertain and flimsy at best) are spoken to the wailing boy who always drops fast and disappears just as quickly.

Always, it was the same.

Until one day it wasn’t.

The electricity crackled like it always did. A spark, and then a calamity of light. And the boy would be there, uncurling himself into a tense position as he would wail.

But not this time.

Instead the boy curled himself in the air, calm as can be, almost as if he were sleeping. Even the electricity that they have learned to dance away from was calm, gentle, like ocean waves.

And when the electricity vanished, the boy did not, instead dropping to the floor where Dick was quick to catch him, grunting in preparation of weight only to show alarm at how thin the boy truly was.

On that face that has haunted them all for months is just a boy, sleeping, and scarred. A boy breathing very slow, slower than what they would like, but here in the physical realm with them.

Dick brushed back bangs of black hair, and slowly, ever so slowly, glazed blue eyes stared back.
