I did a 7 day challenge the other day to brush up on some things I wanted to practice. I used 05 microns in various colors and the same size uni pins for light and dark gray. Kinda fun.

The Lambrou Pens LN2 Harvest artist proof shown here was made in July 2020. It’s a 6 inch long Lambrou Pens Oversize Legend hand crafted by Paul Rossi from Flame Red diffusion bonded acrylic with a Rossi made sterling silver floral design clip. The artwork is by Yoshitsugu Nakama, and because Nakama is allergic to urushi sap the decoration is made with an inert material he seals with epoxy resin. The Harvest design is based on the an original watercolor by Jenny Lambrou that was used for the other Classic Pens / Lambrou Pens Harvest models and represents harvest time on the island of Cyprus. Nakama’s interpretation is painted the cap and barrel with grapevine leaves, bunches of grapes, wheat stalks, and morning glory flowers over a pale yellow-brown coating to highlight the wheat artwork.

選擇適合自己的西洋書法工具(平頭筆篇)

在英文書法的世界裡，特定的工具只能用來寫特定的字體，首先得搞清楚你想寫的字體要搭配哪種筆來寫！

工欲善其事，必先利其器。筆不是貴就好，但也不必便宜將就。每個人的需求不一樣，找到符合自己預算、書寫習慣的工具最重要！好不好用見仁見智，我列出一些心得僅供參考囉！

義大利體、哥德體、安瑟爾體、基礎手寫體

(由上至下)

這類的字體是用平尖的筆書寫的，較常見到的工具有平頭麥克筆、平尖鋼筆、平頭沾水筆等。

平頭麥克筆

(NT.40~NT.90元不等)

市面上有ZIG Calligraphy 雙頭平頭麥克筆、Molotow平頭麥克筆、Pigma Calligrapher 麥克筆、Staedtler雙平頭書法筆、Manuscript藝術麥克筆、Faber-Castell 藝術筆扁頭型、…..等等

優點：便宜、顏色選擇多、開蓋即用，省去鋼筆沾水筆事前準備的麻煩，不像鋼筆沾水筆那樣挑紙，好一點的影印紙就綽綽有餘。能做出豐富多樣的混色變化。

缺點：筆頭非金屬製所以寫久了會開花、缺乏墨韻的變化之美。

因為它便宜、方便、輕鬆上手、不挑紙的特性，我會推薦給沒有接觸過西洋書法、想試試看但還不確定要不要花大錢投資下去的初學者試試！

其中我最推薦ZIG的麥克筆，顏色選擇最多，粗細兩頭很超值，而且畫出來的線條較為細緻。

平尖鋼筆

（NT.140~NT.900不等）

平尖鋼筆有超～多～品牌啦！這裡僅列出我摸過的：

2mm以下：

百樂藝術鋼筆(1.5mm)

寫樂HighAce neo Clear Calligraphy 藝術鋼筆 (1mm、1.5mm、2mm)

三文堂stub尖(1.1mm、1.5mm)

西華藝術鋼筆(一組三筆頭1mm＋1.4mm＋2mm)

英雄美術鋼筆(一組三筆頭1.1mm+1.5mm+1.9mm)

百樂彩虹鋼筆(B尖約0.9mm)

SKB NOTI 淘氣鋼筆 (1.1mm、1.4mm)

Lamy 喜悅鋼筆(1.1mm、1.5mm、1.9mm)

Rotring Artpen(1.1mm、1.5mm、1.9mm)

Manuscript藝術鋼筆(0.85mm、1.1mm、1.6mm )

2mm以上：

百樂藝術鋼筆(2.4mm、3mm、3.8mm、4.5mm、6mm) 

Rotring Artpen(2.3mm)

Manuscript(2.2mm、2.8mm、雙線2.5mm、雙線3.6mm )

Manuscript左手平尖鋼筆(1.5mm、2.7mm) 

優點：寫感滑順流暢、可享受鋼筆墨韻之美、可替換不同品牌的墨水、攜帶還算是方便、外表好看(見仁見智啦～) 

缺點：根據你搭配的墨水可能會挑紙（比如寫字暈開長毛），需要具備基礎的筆墨和鋼筆使用知識、價格略貴。 

哥德體的筆劃較密集，建議挑選寬度3mm以上的平尖鋼筆���寫，其他義大利體、安修爾體、基礎手寫體，根據你的喜好挑選寬度即可。

字跡的墨韻濃淡，是寫字時的一大樂趣。鋼筆雖然需要挑紙、挑墨、上墨、洗筆等等，但這些過程都是使用鋼筆的療癒之處哪～ 

如果你的預算足夠，對於書寫的手感較為講究，或是原本就有使用鋼筆的習慣，那麼平尖鋼筆就很適合你！！

平頭沾水筆

(筆尖NT.80~200不等)(筆桿NT.80~萬元不等)

勁大的朋友：Brause（上圖左一）、Manuscript Leonardt Tape（上圖左二）、Speedball（（上圖左三）

手勁小的朋友：William Mitchell（上圖左四）、Manuscript Leonardt Roundhand（上圖左五）

優點：價格不高、有左手專用的筆尖、筆尖尺寸非常齊全，比麥克筆鋼筆還要齊全、還要寬，可享受墨韻之美，可寫出精緻富墨韻、古韻的字體、可沾取水彩金粉墨水等鋼筆不能用的媒材寫字

缺點：挑紙(比如暈開)、挑墨(比如墨水下不來)、第一次使用有時需處理筆尖、寫幾個字就要沾墨水有點麻煩、筆尖是消耗品，日子一久會生鏽、刮紙感。

購買時需要注意，英文書法的沾水筆尖大多為歐規，日規的沾水筆桿可能會無法裝配，因此購買時需要和商家確認筆尖和筆桿是否相配。

幾乎深入西洋書法坑的人，最後都會入手沾水筆，因為沾水筆獨特的寫感和呈現的墨韻古韻真是難以取代啊！

不過如果是剛接觸西洋書法的新手、完全沒有書寫底子的人，我會建議當作是進階的工具。因為沾水筆對於紙墨的要求更高���書寫時步驟也較繁雜，對於部分的新手來說可能難以全神貫注在字體架構上，所以我會建議入坑一陣子再考慮囉！

其他種沾水筆

（NT.210~NT.650）

下面三種沾水筆，構造和上面介紹過的沾水筆尖不同，有兩片鋼筆夾起/一片鋼片彎折的構造，因此對於鋼筆墨水的適應性還不錯，如果角度抓對的話，可以像百樂藝術鋼筆一樣用筆尖的角角畫出細線唷！

Automatic Pen

筆尖尺寸從最細1.58mm，到超級寬的6.35mm，相較於傳統的沾水筆，寫起來較無刮紙感。 可惜的是因為筆尖構造是兩片鋼片的關係，寫起來的字精緻感略差一些。

Standargraph藍色沾水筆

尺寸有2.2mm、2.9mm、4.6mm、5mm、6.4mm對於鋼筆墨水的適應性較傳統沾水筆好一點點，可惜是支大水槍！

William Mitchell Witch Pens

尺寸有2mm、2.8mm、4mm、4.5mm、6mm 寫感和standargraph相近。

"Dr. Kniseley Covered Bridge" ... new version. A beautiful covered bridge near #Bedford #PA is surrounded by vibrant autumn foliage. It was built in 1867 and is an 80-foot-long (24 m), medium Burr Truss bridge with a shallow gable roof. I hand-painted this one in #CorelPainter with a #Wacom tablet and #artpen ... loosely based on my own photo with lots of artsy fun stuff added.

These cast iron Dragons mark the boundaries of the City of London and are often mistaken for griffins. The shield bears the City coat of arms including the cross of Saint George and a red sword (symbolising St. Paul). They are based on the dragons above the entrance to the Coal Exchange in Lower Thames street (demolished 1962). Designed by City Architect, J.B. Bunning. The original statues can be seen in Temple gardens on Victoria Embankment. There are 14 dragons around the City. There is a replica at Lake Havasu City, Arizona next to the reconstructed London Bridge (1971). Pen, ink with Rotring Artpen.

Here’s another shot of this beautiful pen!

When I pulled this pen out of the box, I was immediately struck by the cool touch of the sterling silver, combined with the sharp edges of the deep engraving. The piece is heavy and cool, like a Flighter, and warms up in the hand the same way, but no Flighter has the feel of this pen! This piece was made by Sergio Kullock, and is hallmarked "STERLING SILVER" and "SK" on the back of the cap. The Parker name is engraved on the cap front, as on the Parker 51 Aero-metric Signet all gold-filled pen. I've seen three examples of this engraved sterling silver pen, one of which had a chrome plated clip.
