THA OTHA NIGHT

Tha otha night I got a call from this artist I know…actually I knew him since high school…in 2003 he and I moved to elmont a small town on the border of queens and long island well I moved back…Idk if he lived there before…side bar: I this I’ve met some of the most talented people in the world in this town…anyway he asked me to come out and take some pics while he did a live portrait of at this place in the city…I said “I’m down hit me up”…he didn’t hit me up til later at like 6 sumtin…I hopped in the shower and called my boy Mike to see if he could give me a ride to the LIRR…before he picked me up he questioned me about some shit that popped off the other day…people were saying when shit popped off mike didnt do shit but when I spoke to him he told me what really happen…I knew if was all bs because my nigga thorough…anyway i hopped on the train just in time and made it to the city…when I got there artistemor was waiting for me outside…I gave him dap and we went up stairs.

Eatmore came back to NY to do an art project in which he plans to sketch over 1,000 paintings in a few months…for the most part he is doing portraits of NYC homeless population…the funny thing is he told me that portraits are not his strength…I love his work and I think you guys should def check out his tumblr artistemor

when we got up stairs I felt completely out of place but like the real ass nigga I am I adapted…We linked up with the dj and got to work I was snappin photo and EATMORE was sketchin…I’m not gonna lie drawing is like a natural afrodisiac…because my boy was gettin much love from the ladies…I have to say this tho…almost everyone in there was european and I don’t just mean white…like they were all from some where in europe and for the most part anytime one of the women would be talking to us there would always be some european guy that would come out of nowhere doing some stupid shit…like just acting a fool…and we wasnt event on it like that...anyway... we only stayed for like 3 hours it was like 11 when we left…side bar: dj martial held it down his mixes were flawless no homo

Eatmore and I kept walking and ended up on 42st some how…I fucking hate 42st it always makes me feel like a tourist…we chopped it up before we headed back to the town…when we got back I talked the guy in 711 into giving me all of yesterdays donuts lol

Earlier this week I finished up on a super hero illustration for the: https://www.superheroprojectkids.org They provided a wonderful prompt and background on the child who these are commissioned for along with some tid bits on the family life. It made this project smooth and easy, great communication between admin and myself made all corrections very free flowing and non-restrictive. This project was a lot of fun and for a great cause. I would totally volunteer again. Artist Emor - Kirby’s Dreamland (available for sale) A couple weeks back, I remembered a good colleague of mine opened an art gallery not to far from where I lived so I decided to stop in and say hello. The Artsemble Underground Gallery @artsembleunderground at #belltowershops in #FortMyers and has a nice prime location for visitors. The gallery has a full show room of art from variously local renown creators and features everything from #furniture and #sculptures to #paintings and smaller retail goods. A perfect place to explore some abstract concepts revolving around counter culture and social dichotomy. i spent last Friday there finishing up this painting Inspired by the game “Kirby’s dreamland” which was my first experience with the series back in my youth. Last month, I was recommended for a pretty generous position in a big industry house hold name. I completed a career test that was to say the least tedious. I did have a fun time with building out the architecture and furnishings for this home. Scandinavian urban sprawl was the idea I was going for.
