Yes, she is an idol! As for singing style, I think it would vary from J-pop to (sort of) screamo J-rock, if that makes sense. Artists that I personally listen to that I think would emulate her style best are PinocchioP, Kairiki Bear, & WADATAKEAKI KurageP, to name a few. (And yes, her hair (intentionally) gives it away💀)

Sorry for late response bestie, i wanted to scavenge thru EVERYTHING (im talking old social media accounts, my abandonned youtube music playlist, several old phones, soundcloud and my fucking soundboard) to give you a definitive answer, made me realise that i listen to more than i think

Adding my own thoughts, but I think that Yuno would get Fuuta into Vocaloid, and it would slowly become his special interest (not that he would admit it, of course...). He'd say it's cringe at first, like OP said, but I think he'd definitely make a separate private playlist for just Vocaloid songs. I think his favourite artists would be ones that focus more on J-Rock/have songs with J-Rock elements, like Neru, MikitoP, Jin, Surii, KurageP, & (of course) DECO*27. Some other ones I think he'd like are Utsu-P, Guchiry, Kairikibear, Giga, and PinocchioP. Not to mention underground and Western producers! I think he'd actively search for new producers to support (which may be self-projecting, but whatever).

Semi-related to this, but I think his interest in Vocaloid would then branch out into other softwares, such as UTAU, SynthV, CeVio, etc. & he would actively follow any news surrounding vocal synths. I bet he would be one of those people that would freak out (/pos) when Teto AI was announced.

Haruka would for sure listen to Kikuo & Usablue (which is a stretch, but their songs sound...so calming...), maybe even Siinamota (rest in peace), but she doesn't. know what Vocaloid is. She thinks they're real singers. But she does have a favourite Vocaloid, & it's Kaai Yuki! :3 Her voice is so gentle and childlike that even heavier-sounding songs don't phase Haruka because she's paying attention to the voice...

Like OP said, Mahiru is so a HoneyWorks girl. I bet she would have Kawaikute Gomen on loop for a week. Emon is another one I think Mahiru would listen to, even songs they made for games like Souvenir in 14 Square Meters for The iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls.

Which actually leads me to what I think for Mikoto & his system! I think Mikoto would be super interested in rhythm games, and some cover Vocaloid songs. That, I think, would be his main "exposure" to it (until Project Sekai came out--at that point, I think he'd have a greater appreciation for Vocaloid). Of course, he would only listen to the major producers that have songs in those games, but that is still okay!

Yuno so far is the only character we see canonically listen to vocaloid, and tbh I can't see the others actively listening to any, mostly because they haven't been exposed to it enough yet

Muu isn't online enough to get into vocaloid, but if she did, she seems like the type who doesn't listen to the producers themselves but the vocaloids. They are all miku songs to her. She would listen to alot of kairiki bear without realising it

A friend told me that Haruka would love kikuo if he ever got to listen to their stuff and i agree so so much. I think if he listened to "searching for your love" he'd cry. Not only do the songs hit close to home for him but the way they sound feels nice in his head
