Decided to jazz up a pen drawing in my sketchbook while I ponder over my other, current bigger project! (it's going good btw, it's ready to color, I just need to decide 'with what')

The dots ARE in fact real screentone, actually the first time I ever tried using it! It was pretty fun! This paper is pretty thick and it held up great. Only minor downside is I have had this screentone sheet for quite a while so I think its probably not as adhesive as it should be, so I'm really interested in using up what I have and getting a fresher one. After scanning it I kind of felt like it needed another quick dose of Something so I added the additional lighting in photoshop.

I'm sorry to who this may offend but i genuinely hate people who make addiction their whole personality. No, I dont mean people who smoke, I dont mean people suffering from addiction, I dont mean people who drink. I mean people who make their addiction into their whole personality, constantly talking about it, making everything come back to their addiction, bragging about it, acting like it's cool and showing off?? Like, why is that a thing?

It's just so annoying seeing people showing off addiction as if it's cool and fun and acting like it's not a problem. It's okay to smoke/do druge/drink/vape and now want to quit, it's your life, do whatever you want. I just don't like the people glorifying it and making it so that everyone who's even met them once knows they're addicted because they won't fucking shut up about it. No, we don't need to talk about how you do drugs while I was telling you about my favourite bands, but thanks for making my life easier so I know I don't want to get to know you any further. AND THEN THIS GIRL IN MY CLASS WAS JUST BRAGGING ABOUT DOING A CERTAIN DRUG THAT WE WERE WATCHING A INFORMATIVE VIDEO ABOUT SAYING IT LEFT A WOMAN PARALISED AND SHE WAS LIKE "the high only lasts like 30 seconds, i do it all the time 🙄🙄" YOURE NOT QUIRKY OR COOL YOURE ADDICTED.

I will continue to stand by this forever. My problem isn't people who drink/smoke/do drugs/vape, if that's your thing then sure, I have friends who smoke and drink and I know people who've done drugs before or actively do. The problem isn't the substance. It's the people making their addiction into a shiny badge to wear on their chest all day long. I'm not saying be ashamed of it, but don't fucking tell me how you do drugs every day while we were literally talking about dogs??
