Pinterest doesn't care about artists

Or basically anyone who uses their Site. Pinterest is already flooded by ai generatet pictures, and ai hasn't been around for that long now, so it's only getting worse. Besides that, literally EVERYTHING I see on that site is a stolen reupload.

Art, Photography, TikToks, Tutorials, Instagram posts all of these get stolen and postet on Pinterest by random accounts. No credit, no way to find the original (without a watermark). There are so many pieces of art on there with watermarks that state "Do not reupload!". And neither the thiefes care nor Pinterest itself.

We're living in fucking 2025, it should be possible to hire people or create an algorithm, that prevent thievery. But there is no such thing. If you report something as theft, literally nothing happens. Nothing get's taken down, no one gives credit.

I of course still use Pinterest for references but I NEED to know where they come from, if I want to post my drawings.

So since Pinterest doesn't care about us, we have to rely on eachother, support eachother and do the research to find out where our references come from. And of course inform eachother about reuploads

I don't have hopes that anything will change about Pinterest anymore. It's so damn frustrating and I have great sympathy with anyone who struggles with their artworks being stolen.

Haha! The way I feel this in my SOUL, but ty.

It's exactly because of this that I regret to inform everyone that due to demand, I am only able to answer a handful of Asks at a time between updates for my AU. It's the only way I could keep up between posting schedules and my real life commitments. Rest assured, I'll continue to read them all even if I'm not be able to answer them at the time. Still, there's always a possibility that I would do so in the future, so don't be afraid to send them my way and let me know how you guys feel about my work! Art really is a tough passion to pursue, but having you all enjoy them makes the hours I question if it's even worth it, well... worth it and I'm grateful for everyone's patience with me so far! TvT
