Artist and Merch Artist Submission Guidelines:

We’d like to see YOUR style, so if there’s one piece that fits your style/brand/etc, we would like to see it. 

There are three different types of art we are looking for: small doodles to be included with stories and for merch, full page illustrations, and comics.

You should try to show off art that fits the styles you are hoping to draw for.

What we are looking at for the different styles:

Small doodles: color, compactness, use of space

Comic: pacing, composition, placement of words, how well an idea or actions are displayed 

Full page: color usage, composition, use of space, background

NOTE! If your work is black and white or doesn’t contain color we will be looking at linework and/or shading instead. 

Please have one work be Drarry at least, or include works with Harry and Draco, so we can see how you draw them.

Works do not all have to be fandom related. Pick things you are proud of and that will show off what you can bring to the zine!

You do not need to know how to do the formatting for any of this beforehand. The mod team will instruct and guide you on the formatting process.

Cosplayers are allowed! We will be looking at the quality of cosplay and the composition of the photos and posing. The outfits for the submission are not required to be professor related, though the zine submission will need to be. 

NSFW submissions for the digital version should not contain any major trigger warnings including non-con, underage, or anything generally considered dead dove. A useful guideline is: keep NSFW content safe, sane, and consensual. If you have any questions about NSFW content or ideas, please reach out to the mods for clarification.

AI art will NOT be allowed.

How many pieces can I submit?

Please submit at least three. The form will allow you to submit up to 10 since we provide options for links or files, but the minimum is three.

What if I have an idea that isn’t art or fic?

We would love to see it! We are open to all types of creative media. Crochet, knitting, collage, cosplay, sculpture, poetry, the sky is the limit! If the applications don’t fit your needs to submission, please reach out to us so we can accommodate!

Will I be allowed to make changes to my application after I submit it?

Unfortunately, No. If you wish to change anything, you are allowed to submit again, but changing them won’t be allowed due to the fact the mods might see different versions of the app depending on when we see them. Therefore, please submit a new application, and we will be using the most recent version for judging. If you need to see something from an application you already submitted, just contact us, and we can help you out!

Can I sign up with my friend as a writer/artist pair?

You would need to submit separate applications. If you were to both be accepted into the project, you would be allowed to collaborate together.

Artist Participation Guidelines 1. You agree to create at least one piece of art or a vid to accompany one of the 2024 Big Bang stories.

2. Art can be of any type: original illustration, cover art, photo manip, etc. (Soundtracks and mixes do NOT count as art for this challenge.)

3. Art or vids can be of any rating you choose but must be in keeping with the fic you have claimed. By creating and posting mature/explicit art, you agree that you are of legal age to do so. Note: Works can absolutely depict happy moments and do not have to be extreme!

4. You must be able to post your artwork or vid at your AO3, tumblr or website, and we'll create a master list of links and summaries at the community.

5. You have to choose to either write a story OR create art, not both.

6. Art and vids cannot be posted anywhere prior to your assigned posting date.

7. Artists must agree to stay in communication with mods and with their assigned author. Disappearing with no explanation will result in being dropped from the challenge.

Sooo...gumroad is shutting down NSFW content sales because of Stripe and Paypal. This is also why Wishtender has been down as well, if you weren't aware. And why Patreon is also cracking down on anything remotely kinky.

(If you're wondering why your favorite FICTIONAL sexual content isn't allowed on most platforms, it's payment processors.)

Please be extra kind to anyone who works with NSFW content right now, whether it be art, writing, audio, photos or video. Whether it be tasteful erotica, or the kinkiest BDSM porn you can think of, we're all in the crosshairs right now.

And, judging by trends from these past few years, this is only going to get worse.

Support NSFW creators where you can, whether by tipping or buying our content (where you still can) or just helping boost content on sites where algorithms want to drown us out.

Call representatives where you can and complain about payment processors acting as arbiters of what YOU are and aren't allowed to pay for and enjoy.

This may be about porn right now, but censorship of this caliber doesn't just stop with porn. Any transgressive (read: non-conservative) media is fair game.

Fight against it where you can. Support creators where you can.

Art is important. Reflections of our sexuality are important. We don't want a world where people aren't free to make or see the things they love and enjoy.

psst. Artists. If you need a place to post lewd art that isn't twitter (I just don't want to touch twitter with a ten foot pole), pixiv no longer allows it but weasyl still does. It's just about the only art website I can find that actually allows sexually-themed art and nudity and is clear about what is and isn't allowed.

also, impressively, Weasyl doesn't allow flashing/seizure inducing images and I respect them for that. They also prohibit AI art.

I’m very glad you enjoy that piece; that series is still a personal favorite of mine. The short answer to your question is yes, that is perfectly fine with me, and I’m flattered by the request. But I am also going to take this chance to elaborate for any other interested parties, since you’re actually not the first to ask!

So long as you check with me first and credit your source:

1. Anyone who wants my fanart for personal use (tattoos, printed out, etc.) is welcome to.

2. This should be a given, but also anyone who wants to riff off of my ideas is welcome to create their own fanart incorporating those ideas.

Crediting is self-explanatory, but one reason I ask for people to ask me first is so that I can offer higher res versions of my artworks on a case-by-case basis — so if you are looking to use my art as a reference for a tattoo, please feel free to DM for that.

I don’t charge for use of my fanart right now (and probably never will) but if you feel like giving something I do have a Ko-fi and lots of art ambitions that could use extra funding.

1. Consent! Ask for it. 💥

Ask for my consent beforehand if unsure. I am very quick to reply in Messages section and love to talk to you guys. Yes, you have a consent from me to reblog, download, get inspired and use my artwork as part of your own as long as it’s not used for profit, posted in sites, that includes sexual/harassing/violent/racist/sexist and overall negative content or has any aggressive/political intent. My artwork can be printed out, made into a gift/non-profit wall-art etc. Ask me privately, if you're still unsure about anything.

Some of the characters are underage and I would like to keep them out of reposting/using for smut/fluff/sexual/violent content. If the character is an adult version of themselves you will know it from me clearly (it will be mentioned in the original post or in case of a canon character fan art you know it yourself from the original creator).
