6 women sculpture. My husband figured out a great way to set sculptures to make a template using Styrofoam, so I'm experimenting in putting these 6 women together. I'm going to change them a bit and see if they look better than this. earth bound sculpture. I have to say that everything about these curls has been difficult and painful. Casting them took a long time and I filled the insides with paper paste. That shrank, a lot. The outside coat of paper pulled away. Then, although I marked them so that I would know where each one fit, they didn't fit. They had shrunk so much that they didn't seem like they belonged. I can rebuild them, but I think it will take the same amount of time to sculpt on them in place. earth bound sculpture. I cut the flanges off of the legs and then placed them, just to see how it's looking. I'm very pleased. I didn't get the paper applied on the legs the way I would have liked. It doesn't cause structural problems but means that I have to do more work to fix the surfaces. In order to make plaster molds, which are rigid, I have to cut the curls off and make separate molds of each of them and the head. Once the molds are made, I can make countless casts and sculptures.
