I'm finally done
The 3.74 meter reticulated python is finally finished, I am extremely proud, I feel like a peacock
There were probably more than a thousand pieces and I still have a 2.5 meter burmese degreasing and two other snakes in the freezer waiting to be cleaned and articulated

Finally done with the rattlesnake skeleton articulation, after yrs of sitting as a pile of bones I had since 2012 I finally put it together.
Wasn’t in the best shape as the person who dispatched it used a shotgun, plus I’m assuming I lost some over the yrs of moving around, but it’s finally done. I’ve had to replace some of the missing parts using wire. But it’s finally done!
I hope you like him, he came all the way from the outskirts of Amarillo tx and was a male diamondback rattlesnake, and my first ever skeletal articulation!

Im thinking of naming him Jake after the infamous rattlesnake Jake
Anyway enjoy!

Not to have really weird thoughts when first waking up, but it's a shame that Durge doesn't get to take Gortash's body to be able to eat it.
Love the idea of Durge taking Gortash's body back to the first camp site, going into the little ruin and just eating him raw. A companion walks in and Durge just screams at them to go away and goes back to eating him, and doesn't stop until all that is left is bones and blood stains.

I never posted here to Tumblr! This is my best work to date.
This post is long overdue, but finally, this long anticipated project is ready to share. Pictures just don’t do this sweet little soul justice for how unique he truly is. This stillborn kitten was born with a deformity known as Diprosopus, which causes two faces to form in the same skull.
Diprosopus is a rare, life-threatening developmental defect during embryogenesis, and a subtype of conjoined twins, characterized by partial or complete duplication of the facial structures on a single head, neck, trunk and body.
Diprosopus often occurs in combination with other congenital disorders, particularly anencephaly, neural tube defect and cardiac malformations. When present, the brain may show abnormalities ranging from partial to complete duplication of brain structures, and/or underdevelopment of brain tissues. Cats with the condition are known as 'Janus cats', after the Roman god.
This was such a strange and yet amazing specimen to be trusted to work with. I’m so pleased with how he turned out and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

*Edit* Theres ANOTHER major mistake I missed cause Im fucking useless
Another Sparrow complete and one we're pretty proud of.
Unfortunately we took photos then realised there was a mistake, can you spot it? But crisis averted and it is safely on the Sparrow Tree 3.0.
This particular Sparrow was a cat kill with various bits of damage to the skull, sternum and broken legs.
This ones head is also removable giving a degree of movement to the pose.
Im glad Al finally had the confidence to pick it up again. This is the first time everything has gone nearly to plan. Not one single broken rib or lost bone in the process of building the ribcage, no bones glued to fingers. Its a little overwhelming to see the progress

was thinking last night about how toriel, asgore and asriel are super stuck to the past while the two main human characters are related to the future ("You are the future of humans and monsters"/"You are our future!") and then i started thinking. is papyrus legit the only main (monster) character who isn't tied down by their past at all??
like it feels like every other character has SOMETHING in the past that ties them down. alphys has the amalgamates, sans talks about wanting to "go back", and flowey wants to be happy with his best friend again. papyrus just doesnt really have anything like this. he's always aspiring towards a goal for the future rather than reminiscing on something from the past. this (among a bunch of other things) makes him really stand out from the rest of the cast
idk. is this anything

3.27 meter reticulated python
There are still another 15 or 17 snakes to work on, the good thing is that every time I do it faster, it only took me five days to organize and two to glue everything together

Sorry I haven’t been posting regularly, been busy with articulating and getting this rattlesnake skeleton I’ve had prepped for yrs now finally mounted. It’s been a lot of organizing and getting it in order.
I know the pose is exagggerated a bit, was going to with how the spine wanted to move. But this is my first ever skeletal articulation and with a specimen that wasn’t in the best condition, so bear with me.
Tumblr media
I get to attach one side of the ribs tomorrow before I get to organize and get the other side prepped for attachment and then have it finally mounted to its base. It’s been a ton of work.

what skeleton has been your favorite in your personal collection? (not work)
My old geriatric Binturong! He's going to be a very fun build once he's fully degreased, the poor guy only has a few teeth left. He's an old captive-bred individual.

Finally got the last of the fawn remains put together. Time for other projects! Cause I am sure burned out!
Tumblr media
This fawn was a challenge from the start. @bigolbuzzard was the one to find it, her intentions are to taxidermy them and she very kindly gifted me the skeleton to articulate. The poor thing was hit by a car, it’s head was ruined. But fortunately, or unfortunately, I had found my own deceased fawn months prior, and I had kept its head.
Tumblr media
In taxidermy, it’s common you keep the feet bones- so I also had to find a replacement for the feet(which are mummified). Luckily a kind soul on Reddit sent me the feet of a roadkill fawn they ran into and were pelting.
Tumblr media
Once I had managed to clean the bones- I had to spend hours just gluing the skull/destroyed bones/and caps on the bones back together. When an animal is younger, the bones aren’t fused- so they fall apart when cleaned.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyway. I am going to call this skeleton “Frank” due to the fact I had to “Frankenstein” all the fawn pieces together. I know it’s not perfect, but I am proud with the end result! Off to the Nature Center they go for display!

Monster High Skullector Jack's lack of flesh contour and resultant extreme forward hip mobility gave him so much authentic physicality and he was a delight to pose. I sold my NBX set and I don't miss Sally, but Jack was such a treat with his articulation and new sculpt. If they do a Sandy Claws reissue, I'll need that just to have this base doll back. Read my full review of the Skullector duo here.
