I'm finally done
The 3.74 meter reticulated python is finally finished, I am extremely proud, I feel like a peacock
There were probably more than a thousand pieces and I still have a 2.5 meter burmese degreasing and two other snakes in the freezer waiting to be cleaned and articulated

This was from a while ago ago but still very proud of it
This was actually my first ever bleach work, it went surprisingly well. It took me basically a whole day to do

Finally done with the rattlesnake skeleton articulation, after yrs of sitting as a pile of bones I had since 2012 I finally put it together.
Wasn’t in the best shape as the person who dispatched it used a shotgun, plus I’m assuming I lost some over the yrs of moving around, but it’s finally done. I’ve had to replace some of the missing parts using wire. But it’s finally done!
I hope you like him, he came all the way from the outskirts of Amarillo tx and was a male diamondback rattlesnake, and my first ever skeletal articulation!

Im thinking of naming him Jake after the infamous rattlesnake Jake
Anyway enjoy!

Another one of my favorites in my collection. This fully intact snake skeleton was found in an attic along with the mouse skulls.

Well, one more comes out

3.27 meter reticulated python
There are still another 15 or 17 snakes to work on, the good thing is that every time I do it faster, it only took me five days to organize and two to glue everything together

Sorry I haven’t been posting regularly, been busy with articulating and getting this rattlesnake skeleton I’ve had prepped for yrs now finally mounted. It’s been a lot of organizing and getting it in order.
I know the pose is exagggerated a bit, was going to with how the spine wanted to move. But this is my first ever skeletal articulation and with a specimen that wasn’t in the best condition, so bear with me.

I get to attach one side of the ribs tomorrow before I get to organize and get the other side prepped for attachment and then have it finally mounted to its base. It’s been a ton of work.

To add to my mysterious cave of shinies and trinkets, I impulsively obtained a framed snake skeleton ahhhhh! (IM SO EXCITED ITS BEAUTIFUL SHGDHJDGJYSGJS)
Bought it from a local who does taxidermy. All their specimen had died from natural causes. This one was a pet (I don’t know the species) that had been donated from a vet clinic.
I think it’s absolutely gorgeous, snake anatomy is so fascinating! Definitely giving me some art inspo :)

I have a snake skeleton and now a cicada molt and I want to figure out how I can display them beautifully in my home. The snake skeleton is fused in the stereotypical winding pattern and it's about the size of my palm. I'm thinking of maybe a clear display with some pressed flowers and the snake and cicada. I had a preserved bee too but I have since lost it. But I would like some ideas if you guys have any!
I know this isn't witchcraft, but it's bones and bones adjacent and I know a lot of witches who like bones and taxidermy displays. I've never built a display myself and I don't know where to begin or even what to really look up, so any and all advice is appreciated! Thank you!!! I put a picture of the cicada molt below. I find tons of them but this one has a beautiful split and all the hairs so I want to display it somehow.
