Here's a peek at the last artwork in progress from this lil' sad break-up series...for much to my shock the page I unconsciously chose to make it on in my Sketchbook Dares was directly across from the page about the beginning of our romance. L'histoire de Psychée et Cupidon

Psychée est une femme tellement belle qu’aucun home n'ose l’aborder. Aphrodite déesse de la beauté en devient jalouse alors elle envoit sons fils Cupidon pour qu’il rende un homme laid amoureux de Psychée. Dans sa manipulation, il se blesse avec sa flèche et tombe éperdument amoureux de Psychée.

Son père, inquiet que sa fille ne trouve pas l’amour, décide d'aller voir un oracle. Celui-ci lui dit qu’il doit emmener sa fille sur un rocher en haut d’une colline où son amour viendra la chercher. Alors son père exécuta les ordres, et l’abandonne en haut d’une colline.Mais alors qu’un serpent s'approche pour la dévorer, un vent doux, le Zéphyr emporte Psychée et l'amène dans dans un palais inconnu d’une extrême beauté .

A son arrivée, plusieurs servantes l’acceuillent et prennent soin d’elle. Arrivée dans sa chambre  Psychée trouve le sommeil. Pendant la nuit, Cupidon vient la rejoindre. Il lui promet de la rendre  heureuse à condition qu’elle ne cherche jamais à voir son visage.

  Un jour, Psychée veut voir ses sœurs. Celles-ci la persuadent que Cupidon est un démon. Elles lui donnent une lampe pour qu’elle voie son visage.

A la nuit tombée, Psychée allume sa lampe. Elle voit un être sublimement beau, mais, une goutte d’huile lui tombe sur le front et le réveille. Cupidon  s’enfuit.

Psychée follement amoureuse de celui-ci part à sa recherche mais durant son parcours Aphodite lui impose des épreuves pour la punir du mal qu’elle a fait à son fils (trier une montagne de grain avant l'aube, récupèrer de la laine d’or d’un mouton).

Pour sa dernière épreuve, Aphrodite envoit Psychée lui ramener un flacon de beauté venu du monde des morts, mais elle ne doit en aucun cas l’ouvrir.Elle descend alors en enfer, ramène le flacon mais elle l’ouvre. Celui-ci ne comporte pas un sérum de beauté mais de mort , encore une ruse d’Aphrodite . Psychée tombe donc dans l’oubli des ténèbres.

Mais Cupidon passant dans les parages voit sa douce inanimée. Il va donc la secourir et l'emmene voir Zeus et lui demande de lui redonner la vie et de la rendre immortelle. Zeus qui lui était redevable, accepte.

Par la suite ils se marient et ont une fille :,Volupté.
