#THIS TOOK ME FOREVER RAAHHHH#i had help from my mom with stuff like the parts of the traje de mestiza which is the outfit shes wearing#this trend looks so much fun and i wanted to join in.. im first gen canadian though so ive never been to the philippines and only#know thru stories of my parents growing up. im proud of my heritage but there are some things i didnt grow up with that#make me feel disconnected from my culture. so it was nice to talk to my mom abt it and ask for her help with this :3#the pleated tapis is meant to resemble her skirt.. i had no way of adding her stockings but i noticed the piano key design#so i used that for the saya. the bandana is meant to resemble her hairties and shes wearing bakya wooden slippers with embroidery#i kinda wanted to add the panuelo to resemble her tie as a finishing touch but i forgor ;w; just imagine it i guess#my mom really likes this. shes a little confused abt the blue hair and i had to explain her hair is like that but she thinks shes pretty#originally i wanted her holding the woven pamaypay and fanning herself because ITS HOT ITS 25 FUCKING DEGREES TODAY#but i couldnt get the pose right so i settled for this. i wanna draw her and brazilian miku high fiving ill do that tmrw#my art#myart#hatsune miku#miku worldwide#philippines#vocaloid#miku

For no reason whatsoever /gen I'm compiling a list of artstyle things that really make my brain happy. . Pastels: love me some pastel pinks and purples and mint greens! Taste so good in my brain! Like fresh strawberries and snow and gently sweet things! . Jewel tones: particularly orange, red, and green. Gimme that emerald and ruby pairings! And sunset golden oranges! Fuck yeah! . Wiggly line art with a thick brush: i don't know why, it makes my brain go "ooh yes! wiggly good!" . Sharp line art with varying thickness: Example being Bungo Stray Dogs anime, i don't know what it is about that particular artstyle, its just good. . Gravity defying hair/sashes/belts/scarves/ribbons/etc: yes. . Mono-duo chrome colour pallets: good shit good shit! especially if it's being used to highlight an intense emotion or an important feature! Like glowing eyes or a shocked expression or intense grief. . High contrast and complimentary colours: reds and greens or blues, blues and oranges or yellows, yellows and purples, pinks and greens or blues. I had a huge phase where I would only use a "one cool and two warm/one warm and two cool of complimentary or contrasting colours" to render my characters. Particularly for the sci-fi characters. Loved that.

this is a poster i made for my call to action assignment in humanities! it's a bunch of basic and easy stretches for people who sit and work at a desk all day (me)
the idea is that you'd put the poster up above ur desk and do the stretches every 30 minutes or so,, the whole routine won't take more than about 6 minutes to complete and when done regularly it can prevent wrist, shoulder, neck and back pain! :)
all these stretches can be done while sitting (although i HIGHLY recommend you stand up and move around while taking a break from working)
