as an aroace, i will see a character lacking a love interest or crushes and go oh yeah. they’re totally aspec. but recently i’ve realized the untapped aspec potential of characters that are overly flirtatious/constantly getting crushes. like this guy? always flirting with others but never seeming to commit to anything? this guy? “dating” a bunch of other people but never ending up with any of them long term? this guy? hooking up with others but never feeling fit in a romantic relationship? this guy? claiming they’re the love master and dating advice champion but being totally lost when they have to deal with their own affairs? seems a little like compensating to me but alright
