Three mistakes beginners who get on a fitness transformation journey make are - 1. Not doing enough research on what are the specific exercises you need to do in order to get from where you are to where you want to go- 2. Taking on too much or getting too fancy in the gym or even at home following online workouts. Now simplicity is the key. Meaning the simpler the exercise is the more effective it will be. Example- pushups- when done with the right technique and approach can YEILD more benefit than an hour long workout with poor exercise selection and poor technique. 3. Not having a realistic timeline and timeframe to assess results and measurable metrics- example- most beginners do a month or an 8 week program only to be disappointed because they don’t see a COMPLETE transformation. This is an extraordinary exercise to lose that annoying loose fat on your arm. What you need is just a chair which is stable on the ground and has a satisfactory height. A bed can be also used. So which ever piece of furniture you are using, face away from it. Bend your knees to come to the level of height of the furniture. Place your hands on the top of bed/chair. Press your body to the ground like in sit-ups. Repeat to complete the set. Do 3-4 sets.

The “all in or all out” attitude or “I will work with a coach when I am in good shape” or “I will start taking care of myself when my work is slower” attitude is destroying your health and wasting valuable time. None of these will help as life is a journey not a destination and for you will always have challenges and obstacles. The surest way to start is not to complicate your life and your fitness. After coaching for over 18 years my team and I have noticed a certain pattern. Most beginners to intermediate start a transformation, weight loss and or muscle building program and often quit working 2 to 3 months. Why? Is this you? Yesterday we had three strategy/ consultations with beginner level people to weight loss and strength training and we found a common pattern- they all had the wrong workout program and exercises. They all had no clear and set expectations. And they all had some sort of back, shoulder, knee or developed these issues when they got on the program. Many of these issues happen because etherium wrong technique and the wrong exercises not only further damage a new person who has no foundation of strength training, stability and flexibility in their body but are infact too high impact.
