Digital Underground said it best : all around the world same song, so it's no surprise that during Stand & Deliver from the kick-off to the NXT title match the workhorses of these competitions got the short end of the stick. Starting things off was yet another qualifying match for the WWE tag titles.

As if the Spitfires and the team of B-Fab and Mia Yim taking that loss for the tag team opportunity a week prior on Smackdown wasn't enough,

the kick-off match featured virtually the same shenanigans for the Meta Girls as they went against several other tag teams. Twice in the same week, Jakara Jackson has been found on her back across promotions - from TNA to NXT.

Lash Legend was in nearly all the spots but the pin and still found herself on the losing end.

I dont understand how Lash was even jobbing to Roxanne Perez when she couldn't even perform a kip up without faltering in the middle of the match. This type of booking translated to the NXT women's division title match where Jaida Parker was the full on workhorse of the match, yet got done like Bianca Belair a night later.

How is Jaida Parker taking the pin from a one-trick pony like Vaquer who botched lifting Parker up for her finishing backbreaker? Parker and Grace were the most active women in that Fatal Four Way, but for some reason WWE is so obsessed with gaining international influence that they are determined to keep giving their biggest titles to non-naturalized foreigners, and it's no mistake why the WWE women's division contest was between Flair and Stratton later in the evening.

Irregardless, Parker displayed some fancy footwork sliding into her opponents with hip attacks like she was channeling M. Bison? She had a fun spot where she stacked all the other contenders in the corner and chopped their abs just to saunter off with her high knee taunt, and she started craziest spot of the match where all of the competitors got locked up in submissions like siamese quadtuplets.

Parker had all her competitors stacked up for her signature leg (hip) drop, and had combined her armdrags with shoulder tackles for maximum damage. Giulia almost took the ref out with a kick to head aimed at Vaquer early in the match. Vaquer almost gave the match to Giulia while botching a piledriver while all Grace could do was carry opponents - and not metaphorically.

Two opponents stacked on Grace's shoulders like she was going to hit the top rope and what did Parker do? Scout that and fire off a clean neckbreaker that created the best splash of the match. Parker's recoveries off those Fireman slams were transitioned into shoulder tackles to the corner. Grace's transitions weren't as noticeable. I would have switched the two women's wardrobe's - but that's it. Giulia's the big heel, Creative should have had her take the pin.

This is the second time in a row that Parker has busted her ass for the NXT title and instead ended up tacking a pinfall to her loss record to push Vaquer. I repeat what I said the last time this happened : Parker should focus on a North American title win before the big gold. That's the only way I see her getting out of this glorified enhancement talent position.

Just take a look at the ladder match for the North American belt. None of the women were shangheid.

Every woman shared solid spots : Zaria showed out with the spears Lola Vice scissorkicked everyone until she got cocky with her backfist. Thea Hall went Ultimate Warrior but ended up landing on her lower back when she backflipped onto the ladder and outside the ring.

Even Izzi Dame got in some notable offense, derailing favorites off the ladder, and of course Kelani Jordan not only sold the hardest bumps (like running split bulldog from Sol that should have pushed Kelani's nose back but instead sent her running to the corner early in the match, or the early scamper up the ladder that had Kelani showing off how durable and flexible her gymnastics background has made her) but also got in the wickedest offense : the way she slammed the ladder repeatedly on Zaria late in the match, was like a woman posessed.

I regret the fact Sol pulled Kelani off of her tag partner, truly this was the only misstep in this ladder match's script. Sol played the face, got in two crazy Sol Snatchers at the end and won the belt without losing a fringe on her tights. I love that, just like I loved her hesitation in knocking Zaria off the ladder to get the belt, but running the match back, Sol's loyalty didn't stop her from throwing the first punch.

I'm just upset that Creative missed the opportunity to have Jordan snap. Having her in that tan naked color looked great. I am especially glad she wasn't self conscious like her contemporaries in Mercedes Mone or Kayden Carter and showed off her beautiful abdomen even when it was bloated. Hell, that's when a woman is at her best.

Great as her ring gear (and hairstyle) was, Kelani was far from all black and leather. Yet again, WWE Creative missed a prime opportunity to turn Jordan heel. Having Ruca be the angel on Jordan's shoulder, when they should have been tag partners before Zaria and Ruca just was simply salt in the wound.

No post match beatdown from a fed up Jordan who has to be salty since she was the inaugural North American champ and has been showing signs of gold lust since dropping the title to Henley late last year.

I dont know why WWE Creative is so gun shy on turning Jordan. Just like with Bianca Belair a night later, this is WWE's biggest annual program, now is the time for a heel turn and for some reason Creative just decided to play nice. It worked for Ruca, but now there's no angle to have Ruca and Jordan work, proving yet again at Stand & Deliver that's what good for the goose isn't always good for the gander.

Zack Sabre Jr. vs Eron Sky

Smoke begins to pour in as the stage flickers with light as the opening , simulating stars and meteors streaking across the sky. The beat drops…BOOM! A burst of silver pyro arcs above the ramp like a shooting star. Eron Sky makes his way towards the ring energetically. Amping up the crowd with a big smile on his face and pure excitement and energy practically oozing from the young wrestler. Eron ran towards the ring and up the steps, jumping and posing on the top of the turnbuckle with his lightsaber pointing at the crowd before flipping into the ring. He then awaits for Zack Sabre Jr to come. 

When Zack Sabre Jr.’s music hit, the audience saw just how different the two of them were even in terms of entrances. Zack walks up the steps, wipes his boots with exaggerated disdain, and slowly enters the ring like he’s got all the time in the world. Cocky and lazy. He eyes Eron with that smug little smirk, arms crossed as the guitar riff fades and the ref comes in to officially start the match!

The two seem to circle one another for only about three seconds before locking up in the ring. Pretty quickly, The Technical Wizard has The Airbender locked up in a wristlock. He twists Eron’s wrist a few times, their bodies constantly shifting as they attempted to one up each other. However, Eron eventually rolls forward before backflipping to escape the wristlock! Eron was thinking of attempting a armdrag, but Zack had already moved and attempted to do a waistlock! But now it was Eron’s time to evade. Eron rushing forward and handspringing off of the ropes and flipping backwards to do a headscissors takedown! However, Zack manages to roll through it himself. But while smugly standing, he was unaware that Eron was already rushing forward and hit him with a hard dropkick to the knee! 

Excited to get some momentum as the audience cheers, Eron runs towards the ropes and goes for a springboard. But when he attempts the crossbody, Zack quickly managed to grabahold of one of his arms midair! ZSJ grounds Eron Sky with a Fujiwara armbar, making sure to slam him down onto the mat extra hard after the failed springboard. The two battle and squirm. Eron attempting to get out of the submission manuever. He eventually manages to after a few well placed elbow strikes and the audience clapping for him and giving him some much needed momentum. Eron goes to kip up, but the moment he does Zack sweeps his feet out from under him while still staying on the ground. As Eron falls, Zack locks in a kneebar this time. Attempting to ground him once more. He wrenches on it hard, causing the young wrestler to cry out in pain as Zack grins. The ref keeps asking Eron if he wishes to submit, but he shakes his head over and over again. But after awhile, Eron manages to kick free of the hold! And Eron uses the momentum of kicking free to roll backwards and to do a jumping mule kick right at Zack and propel his body in a forward roll motion. 

Now, Eron runs towards the ropes and hits ZSJ with a springboard moonsault and goes for the pin!

KICKOUT!

Eron grunts as the other man kicks out, but stays motivated and optimistic as both him and Zack stand up. Meanwhile, Zack Sabre Jr. seems a little annoyed that he can’t seem to keep the young man grounded. The two charge at one another, but Eron ducks under a lariat. Zack slams into the turnbuckle behind Eron, while Eron now charges towards him and hits him with a back handspring elbow! Quickly moving to outside of the ropes, Eron slingshots himself to do a dropkick, but after the slingshot he finds himself once more caught in the air but this time Zack hits him with a arm drag takedown. As Eron scrambles to get back up, he finds himself surprised by The Technical Wizard when he quickly goes for a European clutch pin!

KICKOUT! 

But even after Eron kicked out, Zack wasn’t going to let him build momentum. Instead getting him locked into his “Orienteering with Napalm Death” finisher! Eron cried out as Zack got him locked into the stretch muffler, but kept shaking his head when the referee asked him if he wanted to submit. But with his background in acrobatics and his natural flexibility, Eron was able to hold on long enough to roll out of the hold…But Zack was able to quickly hop onto his feet and hit Eron with a HARD penalty kick! 

Zack pulls Eron up and irish whips him against the ropes, but on the rebound Eron does a few handsprings and causes Zack to sidestep out of the way. Eron then does a dropkick right to the other man’s chest. As Zack stands up, Eron goes for a tilt-a-whirl DDT, but Zack manages to keep his head from slamming into the mat. And seeing the perfect opportunity, he quickly gets Eron locked up into a seated octopus stretch! It takes a few seconds, but Eron manages to pull both of them towards the ropes. Inching closer and closer before grabbing onto it and forcing the ref to make ZSJ break the hold. 

Eron and Zack both stand up. At first slowly exchanging blow after blow. But momentum seemed to be gathering as everyone waited with baited breath to see who comes out on top. Suddenly, Eron pushes Zack back and spins around and attempts to kick him. But Zack catches it! Hopping in place for a moment, Eron suddenly jumps and does another headscissors! Only this time, he makes Zack’s head slam right into the middle turnbuckle! 

As Zack falls backwards dazed, Eron slowly climbs up the top of the turnbuckle. Clearly going for his supernova. Clearly wanting the win and the opportunity that would come with said win. As Zack stumbled up, Eron suddenly lunged off and hit his Supernova diving corkscrew stunner finisher! Eron goes for the pin!

TWO!

THRE-WAIT, WHERE DID THE REF GO?!

Eron blinked as he saw the referee suddenly get pulled out of the ring by none other than Charles Mason. He finds himself being pulled off of Zack by a familiar face. “I was about to win!” Eron huffed as he struggled in Bambi’s arms. He was suddenly tossed towards Atticus! He tried to fight back and dodge, but Atticus suddenly raked Eron’s eyes leaving him stumbling towards Ophelia who hits him with a harsh Go to Hell! With Eron and Zack Sabre Jr side to side, Bambi urges her allies to help their “friends” up. ZSJ and Eron Sky being put in a kneeling position before Bambi would run forward and jump into the air to do a curbstomp on both of them at once! She smirked as she kept standing on both of them for a moment. The Doll House all standing strong in the ring with Bambi smirking at the camera.

Very interesting to see which moves and sequences were already around and which weren't, and what of the stuff they were doing was lost in time. So many armdrags. A backbreaker but the other way round, guess that's a stomach breaker. Haven't seen a single suplex yet, have seen several things that resemble hurricanranas from a standing position as well as people jumping up on their opponent's shoulder for a crucifix takedown. Also running the ropes with leapfrogs and all that is definitely a late in the match escalation and finish kind of thing, not how you start it off.

Watched some of that 60s Catch (translator's note: catch means pro wrestling) and I did not expect them to be doing lucha shit. Like what was that, Le Petit Prince??

Becky Lynch vs Eron Sky - Blue League - Night 9

The moment the bell rang when Becky and Eron was in the ring, it was clear that the audience was excited to see who would win this round. Would Becky advance up to the $6,000 dollar club? Or would Eron actually manage to get a win? Time to find out!

Eron and Becky began to circle one another. Both of them keeping their eyes on each other before locking up in the middle of the ring. Becky managed to maneuver Eron into a headlock. Wrenching on his head over and over as Eron struggled to get out. Eron pulled them both back towards the ropes and pushed her off of him. As Becky rebounded onto the other ropes, Eron went for a discus forearm but instead Becky caught it and turned her body so she could fling Eron over her in a impressive uki-goshi. As Eron stood up, she then did a dropkick right onto his chest before doing a kip-up. The crowd cheered as she seemed to get amped up. Becky ran towards Eron and he appeared to go for a leapfrog. But as Becky ducked under him, she grabbed onto one of his legs and pulled so he ended up falling flat on his stomach and face! But as he moved to push himself up, Becky went for a surprise pin with a Oklahoma Roll!

KICKOUT!

It appears that Eron wasn’t quite done just yet! Pushing himself up, Eron moved towards Becky only for her to suddenly attempt to do a hiptoss! Only Eron was able to twist his body midair in order to land on his feet! Becky then attempted to do a flying forearm but Eron did a splits to evade it! Next time she came running at Eron? Eron span and hit her with a back kick to the gut, before taking a moment ot prepare himself. He suddenly jumped into the air and twisted to do a leaping spinning back kick right onto her jaw! The crowd cheered as now it was Eron appearing to get more hyped up. When Becky got onto her knees, Eron ran forward and did a cartwheel knee drop right onto her back. However, instead of getting off? Eron stayed in that position before grabbing onto Becky’s chin and legs and positioning them in a bow and arrow stretch! The referee came over and asked Becky if she wanted to submit. The Man continuously shaking her head no as she tried to dislodge Eron’s hold on her. Becky managed to get out of the hold and quickly twist her body around to go for a pin. But Eron did a matrix evasion to slide out from under her. He then ran towards the ropes, but on the rebound he was hit with a hard snap armdrag! When he stood up, it was another snap armdrag. Becky was regaining the momentum that the crowd had previously thought she had lost. When he stood up, Becky ran towards him and did a hurricarana armbar! Now it was Eron’s turn to be asked if he wanted to submit by the ref. Shaking his head no over and over again as he attempted to drag them towards the ropes. He eventually got to it. 

Becky let go and waited for Eron to stand up before charging foreward. But Eron suddenly did a front flip clothesline! But it was reversed! Instead, Becky grabbed the arm and got him into the Dis-Arm-Her! The crowd cheered once again as Eron seemed to be struggling. And after the front flip towards becky, he wasn’t by the ropes anymore! He struggled and for a moment it looked like he was just about to tap when he suddenly managed to slip his arm free. He did a superkick to the back of Becky’s head to get her away from him for a moment. Cradling his arm as he picked himself up, it was clear that Eron was surprisingly livid. And as Becky leaned against the bottom turnbuckle, Eron took the chance to run forward and do a handstand on the top turnbuckle above her before swinging his body down and doing a meteroa right onto her chest! 

As the two stood back up, Becky move forward with a lariat which Eron ducked under. But he grabbed her arm and turned her around before doing a back kick to her stomach again, following by a kick to her shoulder, and then he span around for a spinning heel kick! But Becky caught it. And after a few seconds of hopping, Eron jumped into the air and did a headscissors on her! And when she got to her knees? Eron ran forward to hit her with a hard Shining Star Cutter finisher! Eron quickly went for the cover!

KICKOUT!

Eron let out a aggravated grunt when Becky managed to kick out, but knew that he couldn’t stay still for long. Pulling her up, he went to irish whip her towards the ropes but she twisted her body under his arms and pulled him forward for a Becksploder! Now it was Eron who was struggling to get up. But when he did? Becky attempted to do The Manhandle Slam on him, but he managed to elbow her to the side of the head to get her to let go of him. And when she ran forward, Eron hit her with a bridging fallaway slam for the pin!

ONE!

TWO!

KICKOUT!

Eron, desperate for a win in the tournament, took a moment to head towards the turnbuckle to do his diving corkscrew stunner finisher. Slowly pulling himself up it. But Becky managed to recover quicker! She ran forward and knocked him off his balance, but he managed to stay on the top rope with a grip to the ropes. Which Becky took advantage of as she now did a avalanche Manhandle Slam before going for the pin!

ONE!

TWO!

THR-KICKOUT!

Eron managed to kickout right in time. Growling in annoyance, Becky got him set up for a dragon sleeper and moved to roll them onto the mat so Eron would have a harder time. But Eron managed to use his flexibility to flip above her. She brought her legs up to attempt to kick him, but Eron caught her legs and flipped forward to do a bridging pin using his own shoulders as anchors to keep her legs and shoulders down in a modified rollup!

This is a set up for the same sweep I posted last night. After you hit a move a few times in the gym people will start to catch on. You will have to deceive them, make them think you are going for a choke then when they address the choke you can go back to the original sweep you wanted.
