(for your lolix headcanons) who drinks the coffee black, and who puts so much cream and sugar in it there's barely room for the coffee?
locus drinks it black and felix puts too much cream and sugar. i am 100% certain about this. felix orders obnoxious drinks at starbucks and then complains when his order takes too long

Fluff prompt: Sarge decides to put his own spin on a bubble blowing machine (may ir may not be for Caboose's benefit)

Sarge makes a bubble-making machine. It goes about as well as you'd expect.

“What the fuck is that,” Grif said flatly, stopping to stare.
Carolina peered around him. She studied the strange machine, which lookedcobbled together from salvaged pieces of the water-park and other equipment.Sarge crouched beside it, a wrench in hand, muttering under his breath as hehammered at the side of it.
“Sarge’s newest attempt to fight gravity?” she suggested.

I want to try my hand at a visual novel and was wondering if you had any recommendations for keeping the branching plot threads organized, like a Scrivener template, linked Google docs, notecards and string, etc. (I tried looking through your answers, but mobile is cranky, so if I missed it, I apologize for the duplicate!)
Get a physical corkboard.
Literally map it out like a Detective maps a case.
It helps to be hands on.
If you can’t, make something similar in a document or a painting program.

holy crap look at all those windows! This looks awesome, Sam
Soooo many windows. Quite a few of them have issues in one way or another, but it was a huge attraction for me, the sheer amount of natural light coming in.
Which is why we didn’t notice the power was off at first....

Wait, quick concern: you said you had western light through the windows. I'm a bit worried that the way your couch is now you'll get the sun in your eyes a lot before sunset/during sunset (I also have West facing light in my tiny ass living area)
It’s a concern, but honestly I a) usually sit sideways on the sofa and b) probably won’t be looking directly out -- and after all that’s what blinds are for :D

Why is the kitchen terrible?
It’s just kind of a poky hallway with super old cabinets and appliances. I love open-plan kitchens; my plot is to knock down the wall between the kitchen and dining room, then extend the counter out into the dining room to make a breakfast bar.

thats a significant amount of counter space for a kitchen that size
It’s way less than it looks -- the counters aren’t to scale and are shallow enough that it makes the room seem bigger. The kitchen is 8′x10′ but the counters only go about 6′ on the sink side (minus the sink) and between four and six on the stove side because of the fridge and pantry. Subtract the stove and it starts shrinking fast.
It’s not nothing, for sure, and for Chicago it’s way more than most. But it’s not the vast expanse of space it looks like :D

You and your trampoline condo.
Yes. Every service is trampoline. Walls, floor, counters. All bouncy. BOUNCE CONDO.

Please tell me you're tucking a comfy chair & tall-skinny-floor-lamp into the book nook, next to the structural column & backing up on the bookshelf facing the hallway of hello?
Eventually! I might move the armchair over there, but I’m not sure it will fit, it’s kind of a bulky armchair.

Ok, what's that free room planner? I've been hand drawing my new room and planning where to put shit, that online tool would be handy AF!

Oooo that looks so nice! Fingers crossed for you! (Also, what program are you using for design, because I'm getting tired of graph paper cutouts XD)
Roomsketcher.com! It’s reasonably intuitive, and it’s not great at precision but you CAN change the dimensions of nearly anything, including the thickness of walls and the depth/length of shelves, that kind of thing.

arirashkae replied to your post: my parents don’t like leaving Lilo in a harness...
Better to have and not need than need and not have. Besides, the fact that she normally sticks close to home doesn’t mean she might not get spooked into running off and have a hard time finding her way back!
That’s basically my fear/reasoning. Something might happen, and I want her to have all the advantages I can give her...

"#i love this#someone stop me from writing all these things with luckington#i need to be stopped someone help me" absolutely not b/c you know Tucker is the one sending the dorky messages in #2 😇
God, he so is. He probably alternates between dumb song lyrics trying to be sweet, random dirty messages, and pictures of things that look like dicks. Even better in like a modern au where they work at the same place and sometimes Tucker’s texts have the effect he wants... and sometimes he accidentally sends the really dirty ones to the wrong group chat and no one is surprised

@arirashkae replied to your post “so since tuesday i have read six of crows, crooked kingdom, and the...”
fantasy politics and worldbuilding you say
my pitch for the grisha trilogy: RUSSIAN INSPIRED SETTING AND ALL THE DETAILS THAT IMPLY. on top of that, characters of color! gorgeous descriptions and writing in general. fantasy politics like whoa, with the human element a critical, crucial part. WORLDBUILDING. queer characters! class examinations! realistic depictions of trauma! a truly fantastic system of magic, complete with realistic details and the kind of baggage you’d expect from “all these people with powers and uncertain status are running around and have been for centuries.”
my pitch for six of crows/the crooked kingdom: MORE FANTASY WORLDBUILDING. more queer characters! more class examinations! more realistic depictions of trauma! No love triangles! politics on a dirtier, messier scale. heists. narration from different characters that builds and keeps building and intertwining in a fantastic and utterly compelling way. tons of twists and reexaminations. also basically, fantasy leverage. like hot damn.
