“Ares!” you gasped, clutching your side, blood seeping through your fingers. The pain radiated through your body like wildfire, your vision blurring as shock set in.

Something curious I’ve seen is that absolutely everyone reacted the same way about what Ares tried to do with Persephone this season, wether they liked the season or not

The fandom, unlike many other fandoms to stuff related to Greek mythology, is mostly made up of people who know the stories very well

We all would’ve accepted some other gods trying it, because heck, finding a god who was decent enough no to do so is nearly impossible.

It could have been Apollo, who I love, and while angry, it would’ve made sense

It could’ve been Hermes

It could’ve been Dionysus

Heck, they could’ve used Pirithous, as the guy did try to kidnap her in the myths

But using Ares, one of the few male gods who never tried that?

I think that it is definitely wrong because there are so many other ways they could have portrayed his character but instead, they chose to make him the way they did. I understand why he may have been rude to Heron or his other siblings because that does make sense since Hera probably just told him to but what he tried to do to Persephone was wrong. The writers of Blood of Zeus should have written him differently to be more like he was in Greek mythology.
