i do want jammer to lose his shit a bit. like, in a very real sense, he did not fucking sign up for this. the first time the wizard community reached out to him, it was a crazy political maneuver disguised as an innocent offer of education. he agreed to go to school just to find out these people won't let him go home and won't tell him anything and set him up to fail because they look down at him, so of course he left! fuck that! only now they reached out again, and he's told this is just a quick errand, a quick little magical adventure to deliver something while hanging out with his old friends and he'll be done before spring break ends, and somehow yet again there are wild power struggles that nobody told him about and now people are killing each other. he's been volunteered to save someone else's world while his friends get to party and have fun the way kids his age all do, AND he has no choice because his friends' lives may be in danger AND this fuckass rock doesn't like him even though he doesn't even want to be here. i don't think evan killing philtrum was bad, but i do think jammer deserves to freak out for once

Tim loves Danny like a wildfire—destructive, consuming, something that could turn the world to ash just to keep him warm.

If it ever came down to it, Tim wouldn’t hesitate. There is no line he wouldn’t cross, no price too steep, no force in the universe strong enough to keep him from protecting Danny. He would bring the world to its knees if it meant keeping him safe. He would set the stars ablaze just to see Danny’s eyes light up, would carve his devotion into the fabric of existence if it meant Danny would never doubt it. If all he ever did—if all he ever was—amounted to making Danny happy, then that would be enough. That would be everything.

Because there is no one Tim will ever love more than Danny.

There will never be another.

And yet—Tim doesn’t think Danny could ever love him the same way.

Danny does love him. He says it. He shows it. And Tim believes him.

But not like this.

He sees how relaxed Danny is around Cass, how she brings a peace that Tim never could. How effortlessly Steph matches Danny’s chaotic energy, turning their world into something bright and loud and fun.

Tim sees all of it. And he knows—he knows—that if one day Danny woke up and realized he could do better, it wouldn’t be a surprise.

Jason would love him better. Jason, who is fire and fury and unrelenting loyalty, who wouldn’t hesitate to wage war on the world for the people he loves.

Damian would love him better. Damian, who would turn his love into something timeless, painting Danny’s name into the stars, immortalizing him in every brushstroke and every verse.

Danny could have anyone. Deserves someone better.

And if one day, Danny saw that—if one day, Danny left—Tim would understand.

It’ll break him. It’ll shatter something inside him that will never heal.

But he will understand, and he will never blame Danny for it.

Because Tim notices how happy Danny is in other people’s presence. He notices how easily he fits into other people’s arms.
