You are a record of fear, both in mind as you walk the shuddering record of each statement, and in body as the Powers each leave their mark upon you.
I have a bit of a problem with wanting to put my blorbos on tarot cards, and I’m hyperfixating on my own own Archivist!Luke AU. so. This exists now

Magnus Protocol Theory: Luke Dyer’s band is sacrificing people
Idk if Luke knows this is happening or not. But “Penny For a Well” and then there’s a drowning victim immediately after their concert?
The episode title “Well Run” could also refer to the band name, as well as Lady M’s line. Their titles usually have double meanings.
Luke mentions his band is “picking up” and he didn’t expect it.
Dredgerman is the name of his other band. Dredging is a type of fishing that can destroy coral.
What does the victim say?

What does this mean? No idea. Also @archivists-plus-one came up with a lot of this

Protocol thoughts I have before s2 starts because I have a lot of them and I want to see what gets answered/what I’m right and wrong about. These are all based on my notes from my relisten and on the alchemy research I did today. This post is long lol, sorry in advance.
Has a Bouchard worked for the OIAR before/did Gwen get her job because of it? This is entirely based on a line from ep1 where Gwen says “Oh, nepotism is it?” And Alice says “I learned from the best”. This could just be in reference to the Bouchard’s being rich and stuff, but this line has stuck with me.
What happened to the Response Department? I think it’s suspicious as hell that Response was closed down and not the OIAR. This also links into how do missfiles happen and who is rating the accuracy of the staff?
What’s the deal with Starkwall? I hope Gertrude is involved with them somehow. I just think it would be funny if she was involved in burning down the Institute.
A huge theme is balance. It shows up in a lot of episodes, which makes sense because alchemy. Not to go on a massive alchemy tangent since I did some research on it today, however the philosopher’s stone wasn’t just about immortality, it was about purifying the human body and soul. This is also referred to as the “Great work”, which is directly mentioned by who I’m going to assume in Jonah Magnus in ep 27. There are also a lot of body doubles and stuff like that, which I’m guessing is that concept of making a perfect human gone wrong. I mean, there is literally an episode where that woman is trying to make the idealised version of herself.
How did Celia find out about the OIAR?
Jon and Martin are clearly reaching out as much as they can. Jon gets name dropped as sending the email to Sam. The true question is why they’re encouraging the investigation into the Magnus Institute considering everything that happened lol. Also, who sent Gwen the documents? I’m thinking it’s Augustus? I have no evidence though, it’s just a hunch.
Will we see Klaus (the IT guy Lena failed to kill)?
What’s the deal with Gerry and Gertrude? Gertrude is suspicious as hell and clearly knows more than she’s telling. Also, she calls Gerry her grandson, which brings up the question what happened to Mary and Eric?
The Merchant guy from ep 4 might be relevant? The reason I say this is because in ep 4, he has some dice, and ep 9 is all about supernatural dice and considering how the violin acted I’m assuming they’re the same dice that he had.
Will the key come up again? I know Sam dropped it, but I do wonder if it will come up again.
I just need y’all to know every Bonzo episode I have variations of “oh fuck” written down because I hate Mr Bonzo so much.
The OIAR are there to help with “balancing” stuff out and I don’t know exactly what that means it’s definitely relevant.
The quote “the world is filled with opposing forces, some benevolent, some not” was really interesting to me.
Lady Mowbray seemed to know Celia wasn’t from their world which was fascinating to me.
I can’t 100% confirm this but is Alice the only one to get jmj errors? If so, idk what that means but it’s weird.
How much does Lena know? Also, why is she so determined for things not to change where possible?
So, I made a post previously on this, but I’m pretty sure the Archivist is an amalgamation of all the TMA fear entities. Celia saying “It’s not acting how I would have expected” is a line that I think supports it.
The biggest question to me is how Jon, Martin and “Augustus” ended up in Freddy.
I am absolutely convinced either Luke or Teddy will die. I don’t know which, but one of them is going to at somepoint. Idk, but I’m sure of it.
Anyway, that’s like 90% of my thoughts on everything from s1. There are a few others but they’re very vague and I can’t phrase in a way that make sense lol.

Theories/predictions I have about season 2 of TMagP that i have scheduled to post a few days before the first episode releases so I can laugh at my foolishness!! Bold = Confident, Italics = Not Confident
i'm casting a WIDE net (i started this in NOVEMBER) and i have a lot of predictions, so they're under the cut!!
- The JMJ Boys are beyond reality in the same way the Fears are, and can manipulate technology to a certain degree, they are NOT "in" the computers
- The fears still exist on the fringes of TMA (ex. the London Exclusion Zone) (CONFIRMED!)
- Martin is the one who killed (or had the idea to kill) Colin (very iffy on this it's mostly just funny)
- Episodes will alternate between Alice/Celia getting cases read out to them + some Gwen stuff and Sam taking statements from people
- The Archivist was a completely different person from Jon (CONFIRMED!! kinda...)
- The tape recorders still belong to something akin to the Web
- DPHW theory is correct
- We get to hear Elias, this isn't a theory i just really miss og Elias and want to know what he actually sounded like bc Jonah probably spoke differently with his voice than he did
- Celia's plan didn't work and shes still drawn to the Rift, either because of the Archivist or because the Rift just doesn't work like that
- Somebody important dies
- The Fears are called Phobias in Protocolverse
- Alice starts actually listening to the cases for any trace of Sam
- Teddy's new job is directly tied to the supernatural in some way
- Luke (and his band) are aligned to the supernatural in some way

maybe they'll name a hurricane after us | SJS midseason vibe check
song: "hurricane" by cheat codes & grey, feat. tyson ritter
i was gonna sit on this one for a bit and then i found out we have a back 2 back against nashville and i said, maybe this will lighten my mood.
this got blocked on youtube for copyright infringement. google can meet me in hell nobody wants to listen to tyson ritter without his band that badly smh.
the number of times i found alexander wennberg at the scene of a celly really makes me wonder if he's the actual goat of the team. this isn't ALL the players bc i was only downloading reels and the sharks play favorites :/and i did not want to dm our load-bearing sharkivists (sharks archivists) for specifics. also i haven't made a fanvid in about one million years and a fancam never so be nice.
videos from the following sources, i am not linking individually bc i did not save them: san jose hockey now youtube channel, nbc sports bay area & california youtube channel, bay area sports wrap youtube channel, and the san jose sharks instagram. society if the sharks uploaded their own media availabilities....
transcript under cut:
Video transcript: a fancam made of clips featuring the 2024-2025 San Jose Sharks set to the first one minute and thirty seconds of "Hurricane" by Cheat Codes & Grey, feat. Tyson Ritter.
[Transcript note: clips in order for the first 37 seconds of the fancam (before the beat drops) are all from media scrums filmed and posted by local sports beats.]
1: Jake Walman looks down, then up, sighs, and looks down again.
2: William Eklund frowns, rolls his eyes, and then looks neutral faced at the camera.
3: Macklin Celebrini tosses his head, eyes wide, looking frustrated.
4: Alexandar Georgiev looks stonily at a reporter's question, pokes his tongue into his lower lip, and looks down.
5: Tyler Toffoli crosses his arms looking irritated, bites his lip, and looks down.
6: Luke Kunin looks upset as he answers a question, shaking his head and then scratching it.
7: Shakir Mukhamadullin shakes his head and shrugs multiple times as he answers a question.
8: Mikael Granlund looks at a reporter the looks away, frowning. he sighs and shakes his head.
9: Will Smith looks back and forth at a reporter, nodding minutely and keeping his face neutral. he sighs and shrugs and he starts to answer.
10: Henry Thrun sighs, looking at the reporter, than looks down.
11: Mario Ferraro looks to the side at a reporter, frowning. he looks at the camera, frowning more, shakes his head, grimaces, then opens his mouth to answer.
[Transcript note: when the beat drops it switches to all clips of players on ice for the next 50 seconds.]
12: Alexander Wennberg scores a goal on a Utah Hockey Club goalie, and lifts his head with a huge grin.
13. Mario Ferraro hugs Wennberg in the locker room, both of them without jerseys and in underarmor shirts but still wearing their breezers. They pat each other's backs.
14: William Eklund screams on ice as Mikael Granlund skates towards him. Granlund's arms are raised in celebration.
15: Sharks players pile onto each other after a goal. All that is visible is the backs of jerseys and helmets.
16: A brief flash of Alexander Georgiev's face, and then a shot of him taking the ice for his first game with the Sharks.
17: Fabian Zetterlund hugs Macklin Celebrini from behind as Celebrini screams. They are skating the entire time.
18: Will Smith yells, staring directly into the camera (behind the glass) as he celebrates a goal. He is then tackled by Zetterlund.
19: Vitek Vanečěk sweeps a puck away from the goal and stands up for the rebound.
20: Macklin Celebrini screams and jumps onto the glass. Camera view behind the glass, so what is visible when he jumps is his jersey and the #71.
21: Zetterlund, surrounded by Kings players, pumps his arm at the crowd, grinning as he skates along the glass.
22: Tyler Toffoli, fistpumps, screaming, on one knee on the ice.
23: Nico Sturm passes by the glass, arms stretched out to the side. His face is serious even though he just scored a goal.
24: Jan Rutta hits a goal from the blue line. The camera tracks the puck going in, then swings back to Rutta who fistpumps.
25: Rutta fistbumps his teammates as he passes the bench after a goal.
26: Smith and Klim Kostin envelop Granlund in a hug, both grinning. Granlund's face is barely visible between them.
27: Shakir Mukhamadullin is buried in a hug between Smith, Celebrini, I think Barclay Goodrow?, and a player whose face and jersey are not in view. Goodrow tips Mukhamadullin off balance into Smith. All of them are grinning.
28: Toffoli, Wennberg, Thrun, and Luke Kunin hug Cody Ceci, all grinning.
29: Jack Thompson gets on one knee, fist pumping as Goodrow skates up behind him.
30: Shot from the back of Toffoli and Wennberg hugging Eklund. Two other players stand behind Wennberg, indistinct.
31: Walman skates across ice in front of the glass, fistpumping and screaming.
32: Ferraro yells as Smith and Sturm come towards him and then hug him.
33: Toffoli wraps his arms around Vanečěk's head and shoulders in a goalie line, grinning at him.
34: In a goalie hug line, Marc-Édouard Vlasic wraps his arms around Yaroslav Askarov's head and shoulders, shaking him.
35: Kostin embraces a visibly grinning Askarov and they rock back and forth.
36: Mackenzie Blackwood hugs Askarov, cupping the back of Askarov's cage with his goalie glove. Askarov wraps his arms around Blackwood's chest.
37: Mackenzie Blackwood raises his arms, dancing, at the end of a game.
38: Askarov skates onto the ice and then skates on one leg with his hand cupped around his ear, grinning.
end video transcript.
Lyrics from the first 1:30 of the song (copied from az lyrics...i'm tired lol)
[verse 1] Some people fall too fast, crash too hard Some are fighting demons that never seem to leave them And some people cut too deep, hard to reach Never answer phone calls, it hurts less if they don't talk [refrain] Holding our hearts in our hands Bury your head in the sand Give but we never get back Folding the cards we been dealt Feelings we shouldn't have felt I'm goin' outta my head [beat drop] [chorus] Three cheers to the ones that don't grow up 24 forever till we self destruct Lifestyles of the broke and dangerous Maybe they'll name a hurricane after us Three cheers to the ones that made it Top spot of your favourite playlist Who cares how we got this famous but Maybe they'll name a hurricane after us [verse 2] We don't wanna go home, we ain't in a rush Never hear the alarm when we coming up Coming down in a hotel hot tub Twenty two missed calls when we wake up [repeat refrain, "I'm going out of my head" is echoed after the final line.]

I have an idea of making a PJO X Tma crossover where after getting fired from her previous job for "being too abrasive" and "asking too many questions" at almost the same time she becames responsable for her underage cousin, Magnus, as his only surviving family member, Annabeth Chase sees herself in high need of a job.
So when Luke Castellan - an old friend she has not sawn in ages - reaches her to talk about a head archivist position on the Chronos Institute (where he works as the Head Director) she decides to put her own skepticism about the paranormal behind and accepts it.
Her new assistants - Jason, Piper and Leo - seem to not be as happy about it as her, since all members of the trio were former researchers and Jason even had a degree in library science. But at least the cute librarian, Percy Jackson, loves to hang on the Archives. Even if he seems very worried about the crew (and specially Annabeth's) safety.
Now Annabeth has no idea why.
The Paranormal is not real.
Ignore the worm woman and the distortion and the worst encounter with a spider lady ever.

Didn't know about that Corruption theory before (and didn't wanna reblog the post for spoilers) but now I'm curious, what other theories did people have while the show was still airing? I joined the fandom around 160 so anything before that is a mystery to me.
Referencing this post (beware, it has spoilers for The Magnus Protocol).
Oh goodness, so so many. Only a few that I remembered off the top of my head, but I spent some time today trawling the depths of my "magnus archives speculation/analysis" tag and found a couple more fun ones.
Most of the ones I did remember are either still popular headcanons (Web!Martin), or actually turned out to be canon (Jonah!Elias). The Gertrude one always stuck in my head because it's very silly on the surface but also draws attention to the fact of like - how was her skin still in good enough condition to wear after being buried for months? (And Lietner's too, for that matter). Was Nikola just wearing really tattered rotten shreds???
Anyway. Some that I remembered, which all relate to Martin for some reason:
Backup Archivist: Heading into the Unknowing, Elias had Martin reading statements specifically to train him to be a stand in Archivist in case Jon died. Also included sub-theories that he could end up able to compel people on his own, share the role with Jon, or take over entirely if the show pulled a bait-and-switch and Martin was the real protagonist all along.
Who's the Father?: Every single possible theory about who Martin's dad was and what implications that could have on the show, from Leitner to Elias to Peter Lukes to that one dude Peter banished to the Lonely in his statement in 159.
Schwartzwald Cousins: Albrecht von Closen says he and Clara/Carla had trouble having kids in his first statement, but in a later episode says they have two boys. Part 1 of the theory was that the kids were actually avatars who'd emerged from the mausoleum after Albrecht disturbed it, and been adopted by the childless couple. Part 2 was - well - it's canon that Gerry is descended from one of these kids. The theory was, what if Martin was descended from the other? Gerry seems to have some Eye powers linked to his heritage and upbringing, so it was speculated that Martin might turn out to have some as well and be important to either Elias's plans, or to thwarting him (this tied into the Backup Archivist theory nicely). A sub-theory was that they were significantly closer cousins, Martin's mum's maiden name had been Keay, and Martin K. Blackwood was Martin Keay Blackwood all along.
And the ones that I found in the tag (credit in brackets):
Martin’s mum was a runaway Lukas (@/centaurianthropology, here)
The lighter was linked to the Desolation (@agnesmontague) + an addition by me that I'm so proud of in hindsight - "I think the web design pretty much confirms that it’s linked to the Web, but if it’s the Desolation as well, might it be linked to the other occasions we’ve seen those two powers interact? Namely, the ever mysterious Hill Top Road?" (Here)
Another of my posts that I'm delighted to reread (here) reminded me of the many, many, "what's up with the tapes?" theories. I remember "the tapes are sent by the Web", "the tapes are sent by Elias", "the tapes are manifestated unconsciously by Jon" (my personal favorite, sadly disproven), and I think there were also some "the tapes are Gertrude's ghost" posts???
Elias was the Eye the same way Michael was the Spiral - Gertrude sacrificed him to stop the Watcher's Crown (@/statementbegins, here)
Also reading through these is reminding me that there was a stretch where we were calling the Vast and Lonely the "Void" and "Isolation", which I love.
This is just a select few posts from 2018, so there's a lot more under the tag if you're interested in looking! Link below, copy and paste into a web (lol) browser because the archive (lmao) page doesn't work on the app.
https://cirrus-grey.tumblr.com/archive/tagged/magnus%20archives%20speculation%2Fanalysis
If anyone else remembers other old theories please feel free to drop them in the notes! I know there were so many more that I don't have saved.

Tales from the Archive: Of pranks crushes and tired lunatics
read it on AO3 at https://ift.tt/twa4O1j by Vinyara It took Jon all of his self-control not to collapse on a stack of statements from those… people, who mostly just wanted to waste his precious time. A quick glance through them told him who he had to deal with now: Anna Pond (a cursed chair), Mary Higgins (fire ghosts, apparently) and Luke Webber (he couldn’t even read that… faflry???, family???, faeries???), all probably as accurate as the fact that Elias was a good boss. The archival assistants prank Jon. It does not go well. Words: 3229, Chapters: 1/?, Language: English Fandoms: The Magnus Archives (Podcast) Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings Categories: M/M Characters: Jonathan "Jon" Sims | The Archivist, Martin Blackwood, Sasha James, Tim Stoker (The Magnus Archives) Relationships: Martin Blackwood & Sasha James & Jonathan "Jon" Sims | The Archivist & Tim Stoker, Martin Blackwood/Jonathan "Jon" Sims | The Archivist Additional Tags: Humour, Pranks, Arachnophobia, Book: A Guest for Mr. Spider (The Magnus Archives), Mental Health Issues, Apologies, Panic Attacks, Self-Worth Issues, Fluff and Angst, Elias being a bad boss, we all hate leitner in this house, there isn’t that much jonmartin up to now but i do kinda want to continue this so we’ll see, Texting, group chats read it on AO3 at https://ift.tt/twa4O1j

Alright so in the final part of act III of inscryption P03 does a monolog about the great transcendence being him uploading the game to the public, and how Luke was fooled into helping him by defeating the uberbots, sense each of them having some secret thing that would make the great transcendence happen.
And I mean Golly and the archivists thing makes sense (access to the internet and the game files) but the photographer and the unfinished boss don't actually... do anything valuable?
The photographers section would take screenshots of act III, obviously this would be a big spoiler so none of these screenshots Luke made are in the gamepage.
And finishing the unfinished boss would probably be confusing if executed in the way P03 frames it, the whole mechanic of the boss IS you 'finishing' it, messing with the rules messes with the board to do things like completely wipe every card off the board. How exactly would a finished unfinished boss work?
Thinking about it made me ask more questions like what version of the game did P03 canonically upload? I mean you'd probably assume it's the one uploaded on the steam page sense that'd be SUPER meta but half of p03s rant would make 0 sense- (neither the photographers screenshots would be used nor the 'finished' unfinished boss)
The entire existence of the other two uberbots implies (or at least FEELS like it implies) P03 made and uploaded its own game, but it's not shown so we NEVER KNOW???
But then there's the more plausible reason that Daniel needed to add the uberbots for leshy and the magic bush guy that needed to also represent them in some way, but couldn't think of a good reason as to why P03 would need them in the first place- and I need to go to bed. >.<
#inscryption#inscryption p03#p03#made this at 5 in the morning so for all i know none of this makes sense#inscryption spoilers#but if you're looking it up on tumblr you're probably too far gone

Obey Me zombie apocalypse AU except everyone is human and nobody dies because I'm not good at writing character death. Less focused on MC/you and more about world building and random ideas
Literally did this in class on a time limit so it's not edited </3
★•—–-
"Demons" and "angels" aren't real, they're just the names of the two most major survivor groups for good reason; demons are ruthless and unforgiving, rough on the outside and ridged on the edges towards outsiders. Generally it's very hard to join their group, if not flat out impossible past a certain point.
Angels on the other hand, while just as hard to become, tend to be kinder to people not in their group. They're more willing to house someone they can see the good intentions of, more willing to help someone out of a sticky situation with no strings attached.
Of course, "reapers" exist, but they're less of a group and more of a web of mercenaries willing to take long lasting missions to hunt down other survivors or clean out large zombie infested areas on their own.
Demons:
A town around the beginning of the apocalypse had been overtaken by them, more specifically, by Diavolo's father and made into a highly fortified base with the help of many people over the course of a long period of time. Eventually one day he went missing on a serious hunt and everything was left to his son. The city was named Devildom to play into the whole demon theme going on.
Leader + second in command: Diavolo, Barbatos
Overseers: Lucifer (general manager), Mammon (scavenging + look out), Leviathan (weaponry/arsenal), Satan (archivist), Asmodeus (hygiene), Beelzebub (food storage + production), Belphegor (defense/strategist)
Honorable mention: Mephistopheles
Role meanings:
General management — does whatever is needed, helps keep other overseers on track and in line, reports weekly agenda and past week's events directly to Diavolo
Scavenger + look out — organizes groups to go out scavenging for material that cannot otherwise be grown or made, also keeps people on the lookout around Devildom in case of any hoards in the area or survivors with bad intentions
Weaponry/arsenal — keeps track of the creation and distribution of weapons, including but not limited to things such as guns, explosives, melee, and chemical warfare
Archivist — writes down and keeps a library of information regarding the apocalypse, types for zombies, people in the Devildom, and any important information on other survivor groups and natural phenomenon
Hygienist — creates and distributes items of hygienic need, such as clothes, soap, feminine products, razors, and helps to manage the clean water
Food storage and production — despite the name, the role keeps track of rations and oversees the agricultural parts for the town
Defense/strategist — keeps a general eye on the surrounding area and infrastructure of the Devildom in the event of an emergency, and helps plot out the best means of evacuation and the best places for guards
Ages of lest to youngest:
Barbatos — 33
Lucifer — 30
Diavolo — 29
Mephistopheles — 28
Mammon — 26
Leviathan — 24
Asmodeus — 22
Beelzebub & Belphegor — 20
Satan — 17
Angels:
The upper class part of a city was overtaken sometime around when the Devildom was created, nicknamed Celeste, it mainly consists of several tall buildings, the lower levels left clean but vacant as most angels are in the higher floors to allow for ensured safety during the night. It was created by a man named Father, who nowadays is very rarely seen and uses Michael to speak to his followers.
Leader + second in command: Father, Michael
Known overseers and honorable mentions: Simeon (ex overseer, what his job was remains unknown), Luke (a young angel), Raphael (overseer for defense/strategy)
Role meanings:
Defense/strategy — keeps a general eye on surrounding area and infrastructure of Celeste in the event of an emergency, helps to plot out the best means of evacuation, often getting his hands dirty for the safety of other angels
Ages oldest to youngest:
Father — unknown, last seen appearing to be in his kid 60s 8 years ago
Michael — 33
Simeon — 30
