They were a plant geneticist researching the digestive properties of Venus fly traps, who then got a bit too into it (fed their coworkers to their freak of nature human teeth hybrid flytraps that can consume much more complex proteins than horsefly guts)

A bit of Scottish safehouse soft angst. Martin will wash Jon's hair, and for a moment they can forget about all that awaits them. For a brief moment, though time does not stop (it will not stop for anyone, anything), they can pretend it did. They can pretend that the warmth of the bathroom is eternal.
