(throws them into a modern AU)
So since Ymber wouldn't be a deity there are some things he lacks physically - such as no pointed ears and no bright blue undertones to his hair. Just the basic blue. (does he dye it in a modern AU ? who knows) Also while he doesn't have a collar to symbolize his servitude to humans I still think he should have a choker.
I had some help a while back brainstorming how there would be some form of "superior" dynamic could still exist and I really liked the idea given that he's a famous architect. (he does design all constructs for his city as a deity so it checks out - he likes buildings) And Deacon just admires all the guy's works and never expects to run into him but of course they do! Gotta have a very awkward "oh it's you I'm going to melt into the earth" and "I have no idea who you are but we should hang out".
Sooo Deacon still just really admires Ymber and feels like they're on totally different levels and doesn't understand why Ymber would want to associate with him since he's just a "boring human".
#my characters#then deacon proceeds to ask a lot of questions about designing buildings and somehow they manage to be weird questions#you cannot take the weird questions away from him i wont allow it#this man has to accidentally make things even more awkward with ymber#also i was thinking about drawing them then was like mmmm maybe different ocs ?#and then spun my RNG wheel that is just colors and it landed on blue so whatever they're blue coded lets go#ymber the architect is just a fun idea and i love it let the man design things#and let deacon just appreciate all the work without having met the guy but accidentally meet him#there are only two problems with this kinda au and that is now that ymber ISNT a deity and DOESNT have a deity aura glow#how does deacon with facial blindness just know its him right away#and the other problem is aside from ymber just liking his neck in all universes ive decided - hes also injured when they meet in two#so its important to figure out how hed be injured in an au where he just is sort of reclusive and designs buildings#like how does mr ymber get injured here#there are things i need to figure out#also up for debate is ohime and ohiwe since they were originally just one person#i think i might use oh solo for the modern au instead of a duo since they wouldnt have the magic to be divided for misbehaving#i dont usually do the mermaid may stuff but i wanna do something for these two even if just as my sole contribution to the month

It's always interesting to hear about people's weird/unexpected "alternate life paths". Like, something that you could have done with your life, a job you almost took, a school you almost went to, etc - that was still actually realistic enough that it could have happened, but NOW it seems to not suit your current personality.
Like for example, I currently hate advertising (how manipulative it is, brands trying to be 'relatable', social media amplifying it to an obnoxious extreme, etc.) so much that even seeing a little ad before a youtube video is grating to even witness, but there was a point in time where I was genuinely seriously considering going into marketing/making commercials as a career lol. Or like, I have a relative who was very inclined to be a pastor when they were younger, even though today they're a super strong atheist, etc. etc.
#BECAUSE I knew I really liked filming and editing things and doing set design and costume design (from having done little bits of that#here and there in media classes and my own stuff - i used to be a lot more into making videos than I am now). BUT I was always thinking#that a movie is WAAY to big and long. even a short film. So I was trying to think of ways I could still like#have the fun of scouting locations to film and dressing up actors and etc. etc. without it having to be a Huge Million Dollar Production#on tv show or movie level. SO then I was thinking about like... just doing commercials. Or music videos. Like shorter things where I still#get the fun of the filming and everything but it's less of an intensive long term project.#So there is an alternate version of me (I suppose if i somehow did not end up having physical and mental health issues#as badly somehow.. or like.. randomly came into wealth and was able to pay my way through a nice college despite missing#days constantly being out because I'm sick or something lol) that works in some corporate advertising office coming up with commercials#and directing or filming them or doing the sets for them or something in that general vicinity.#I also was considering being a corporate psychologist. or whatever its called.. oh from google:#''Industrial and organizational (I/O) psychologists study and assess individual group and organization dynamics in the workplace''#I don't think I even knew what the job entailed. I was at the time just thinking like.. the type of person that comes into a business offic#and gives everyone personality assessments or does MBTI or big-5 testing crap for whatever reason that some businesses get that#done for people. Really i just wanted to be in a Corporate Big Office setting yet still do psychology. Because I used to be really fixated#on living in a big city. Like the ideas of everything being walkable. picking up a coffee in the morning. walking to my job in a Big#Skyscraper Building. people watching in a huge hotel lobby for lunch. flying frequently (I love airplanes and airports aesthetically).#living in an apartment with a giant window overlooking the city. etc. etc. BUT that was before i had really BEEN to a city. Then I actually#hung around a city a few times and went places and I was like... AUGh... The Sensory Overwhelm.. cars people lights loudness noise scary#everything happening all at once. etc. etc. (though even when I wanted to live in a city i NEVER strove for the Night Life. when i say I#enjoy city imagery I mean like... in the day time. Many people who like cities talk about The Night Life and post pictures of cities all#lit up at night and clubs and dancing and restaurants. none of that EVER appealed to me. perhaps a sign I am not a real city person. Like#I am NOT standing in a crowded bar full of loud people in the middle of the night lol.. get AWAY from me!!) but I do adore the#architecture of like bright white clean sterile modern spaces like huge airport lobbies or malls or etc. I think thats what reminded me of#city and what I liked about the idea of that life. Like I always LOVED the layout of schools and hospitals and trainstations and public#transport in general. Though even then I knew enough that I would not be a good architect/city planner. so I guess my adoration for those#spaces was merely to be channeled into LIVING there. but then I realized I didn't even really want to do that that much. I mean I still#definitely aim to live NEAR a city. like the little areas outside of it. I would never live in a rural place 4 hours from anything. I liter#ally just COULDNT since I need close access to hospitals sometimes lol. But I used to want to live in the CENTER of citites like high rise#condo. and now I'm like.... eh....... perhaps a smaller quieter walkable space nearby lol.. ANYWAY.. alternate me in my Business Suit eheh

as a user of websites i do absolutely respect really good front end developers because there is nothing worse than a poorly designed website or unpleasant interface like that shit will send me into a blind rage like i literally chose which universities to apply to based on how intuitive their website navigation was. however. as an engineer i straight up refuse to touch any html/css for the rest of my life. i don't have a visually creative bone in my body. to the point where if someone asked me to make a diagram or powerpoint i would probably quit on the spot. let me work on your behind the scenes data processing and leave me the hell alone.
#ux/ui designers are to front end devs what architects are to civil engineers#lovely idea! not building it tho

Little Mario Movie headcanon: Toadtown use to look more like the Toadtowns of Mario and Luigi and Paper Mario, just with a lot more stairs because Mountain.
Peach, who had just recently learned the power of moving platforms and floating blocks with her Mario Maker Obstacle Course, revamped the town when she was like 14 to include these and pipes so all the stubby legged Toads wouldn’t have to climb so many stairs to get everywhere.
#Mario Movie#I just#I was thinking about her cool Obstacle Course and it's relation to like. Mario Maker spesifically#And like SOMEONE had to make it and something tells me it wasn't the Toads they just don't seem like the types#And then how the town is clearly constructed by someone with the same design signature right?#What I'm saying is; Architect Peach#Mario and Luigi are plumbers Peach is an Engineer are you picking up what I'm putting down?#I just think a Peach who likes to work with her hands and Make Things is very canon#She likes to Bake she likes to Paint she likes to Sculpt she likes to Build#She's a hands on kind of Princess she always has been that's!!! A canon Peach character!!!!#And I like the idea She's the reason Toadtown looks like that!!!!#Peach built the course when she was like 10 or so and ran it like a champ#All of this would give Toadsworth a heart attack btw no wonder he wasn't in the movie he's already dead Peach stressed him to death

There is literally no way to crop my drawing that isn't both an instant dox and also idk not allowed because of disclosure, BUT I am selling one of the first products I designed. 5 year job anniversary is today!
#totes bro#i recently went through my personal tag 'totes bro'#and i really am happy i made so many stupid personal posts over the years because 10 years later its fun to look back#wish i could show my products lol#sometimes its very surreal to know people buy things that i design. not that its like complex or anything#i was watching some videos about like idk art/industrial design idk from people who major in 'design'#i will be real i have no idea if i work in 'design' as a space tbqh because theyre talking about a lot of stuff that i dont encounter lol#well thats not completely true i do have 'pushback' prohibiting me i guess like sometimes people dont buy the thing i design#i don't think people who work in design have like hundreds of products they design it sounds like they work on teams for a dozen or somethi#not me tho i just draw up some stuff and go 'this is your only option'#recently i designed like a product line for a guy only to find out he completely lied about volumes#i also design a commodity product so nothing is like special i think this one is like a dozen lines#with my dolls i try to make scenes like the rooms that architects live in lol#they have such particular spaces which are the literal opposite of my life#where everything is cheap and sometimes disposable. nothing is meant to be looked at.#my house is kitch and filled with stuff

16 OF THE MOST ENTHRALLING WALL PATTERNS AND DESIGNS
From early ages, humans have sought to decorate their spaces with mark makings which include inscriptions, and pictures to tell their stories. Whether these early cave paintings or the traditional wall art signifies the notion of belonging and ownership. Though the decoration and wall art was not exactly a priority for them. However, by the 17th and 18th centuries, decoration became a status symbol which generally meant showing off that you have enough wealth to decorate your walls with patterns.
From being a symbol of status and now pretty easy to find in every home. Wall art, wall paintings, patterns, and designs are the most common sources of decoration you can find in every household. These do not just make your lifestyle modern and stylish but also help us to introduce elegance and comfort that raises the functionality of life. Wall art is one of the important aspects of interior design. It creates a finishing element that brings aura and aesthetics to the room and combines all the elements such as furniture, lighting, decor, etc.
You can create a variety of themes through art such as nature, modern, abstract, etc. some common types of art includes photography, sculpture, and paintings. Knowing more wall designs and patterns, will definitely up your design game. Go ahead and continue reading:
Some of the Most Enthralling Wall Patterns and Designs
Tiled Wall
If you have Small Kitchen Interior Design Ideas or bathroom design ideas then tiled walls are the finest choice you can make. Tiles are usually for bathrooms and kitchens but can be incorporated into any room. They are usually thin sometimes thick, rectangular coverings manufactured with a hard material such as metals, stones, baked clay, glass, etc.
They are generally fixed to cover roofs, walls, floors, edges, etc. They often come in bulk to cover the walls and the floors. They are so creative and innovative in themselves only, they are also available in many shapes, sizes, and textures which gives the area complete look both interior and exterior area.
Murals
A mural is a form of ancient artwork that consists of paintings directly on a wall, ceiling surface, or other permanent substrates. Muralism is a popular painting method that includes several artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo Buonarroti, etc.
Murals have been around from the beginning of the early ages when the first humans created cave paintings and pictures on walls. They have been observed in classical architecture and became a dominant form of public art. Nowadays, you can find murals on the exterior of every building such as temples, tombs, palaces, churches, libraries, etc.
Pondicherry is a city famous for murals. You can find murals nearly in every exterior of the houses.
Paint
Most of us will agree that painting is the most prominent way to refresh and update your home. Paint is commonly used to protect, and provide texture or color to both the interior and trim as well as other home surfaces like doors and windows. It helps these wall areas to hold up under normal wear and tear situations.
You can decide different themes such as autumn, winter, spring, and so on and then you can decide or finalize the color that will suit your home.
Collage
A collage is an easy way to display and demonstrate a collection of photos. It helps in developing, structuring, analyzing, and presenting visuals on issues that are difficult to express in words. You can also learn new skills such as tapping, cutting, tearing, sticking, gluing, etc. you can also be creative about learning design, dimension, composition, etc.
Four different types of collages are Papier collé, Decoupage, Photomontage and Assemblage. It helps to give homeliness and comfort it also adds a personal vibe to your space.
Geometric Patterns
Geometric shapes and patterns can be seen everywhere. They can be two or three-dimensional and can also be angular or as smooth as an arc. These shapes can be anything circular, triangular, rectangular, etc. Any closed figure is created by using two points that meet each other.
They can be very appealing and can provide soothing aesthetics and can incorporate unconventional patterns into your space.
Stone Walls
Stone walls are natural stones, especially used in vertical coverings. They are easy to care for and maintain their beauty against time and also contribute to the healthiness and safety of living space. They are made up of local materials like limestone, granite, flint, sandstone, etc. The quality of the stone wall greatly matters both in endurance to weathering and resistance to water.
They are inflammable and do not encourage the development of fungi and bacteria. They are great decoration material for rooms in any style and usually reflects traditional classic or retro style. These stones depict luxury and royalty. You can also go for simple stone slabs or intricate carvings. The most common stone wall ideas used for interior design can be brick, slate, coral stone, sandstone, limestone, and granite.
Textured Wall
Textured walls are commonly used to hide the sign of the drywall along with other impurities and to give a finish and classy look to those interior wall surfaces. These textures transform flat walls into a finish and charismatic look that reflects light and adds interest to any room.
Since these walls hide both flaws and dirt or dust impurities as it accumulates, they also add a visual depth to the surface and help the walls look clean for a longer period of time. Textured walls look good for any color palette or any type of house or room, be it subtle, complicated, or eccentric shades. The most popular types of wall textures are orange peel, slap brush, sand swirl, skip trowel, knockdown, hawk and trowel, Venetian plaster finish.
Empty Frames
Frames can be crucial in experiencing art. The whole idea behind this type of wall art is to let the frames that stand out on their own. This not only enhances the way that the piece looks but also plays a key role in protecting the art. You can mix up different shapes and designs that make it looks more charming and adorable.
The main purpose of empty frame walls is to create a focal point, that is a point where your eyes are immediately drawn upon. It's a great conversational piece and provides a sense of texture to it and also it helps you relax.
Marmorino finish
Marmorino Veneziano is a type of plaster that produced a classic natural mineral look with a glossy finish yielding a multicolored marble-like effect that is used to decorate interior and exterior walls. The plasterer is composed of crushed marbles and lime putty and can be infused with various tints to suit your desired color palette.
It is an eco-friendly product and has waterproofing and antibacterial qualities as well as visual effects made it look more luxurious in bedrooms bathrooms etc. It is one of the oldest designs and was popular during the reign of the roman empire.
Color Blocking
Nowadays, color blocking has become one of the favorites of most designers, as it can enhance the look of your home. It refers to the use of contrasting colors and shades to bring in a fresh look that helps the interior design create an unexpected twist in the way the space is designed. This trend is originally from the artwork of the dutch painter, Piet Mondrian.
The character of your room will totally depend on the color palette you choose. For a cool vibe, you can go for brighter colors, and if you want more of a sophisticated vibe, go for subtle and darker colors. Just choose the color palette that suits your taste and preferences.
So this was the list of some of the finest wall art and ideas from which you can choose the one that perfectly blends in with your taste and preference. That assumes the ice exists long enough to do anything, is the problem. These things say they take one month to generate a single small iceberg, not the sort of deep long-term ice shelf that actually creates albedo.
This is like fighting global warming by turning everyone's AC up and opening all the windows. The AC unit meanwhile is pumping an equal amount of heat into the same space, negating the cooling it is providing. Refrigeration only works in a closed system where you can dump the heat outside of that system. Any attempt to insulate inside the system will quickly make ice generation impossible, and dumping the heat into their own environment would just melt the ice it's making.
It would actually be more efficient to just build a bunch of simple rafts of the same size and paint them white and set them floating out there, or any other artificial albedo generation idea that doesn't involve running a metric fuckton of refrigeration compressors in an open system.
#besides it's not even a scientific team proposing the idea#it was a design competition for architects
