"I heard he fucked his cousin."
Everyone collectively groaned as Felix reached up to cover my ears with his hands. I playfully batted them away as I giggled at his protectiveness.
"Farleigh, I will pay you to stop talking," Felix said as he gave up on prohibiting my hearing. He wrapped a possessive arm around my shoulder, pulling me close and tucking me into his side like I was before Farleigh spewed such ridiculous information.
"That can be arranged," Farleigh replied. "Though, you should know I will only accept payment in diamonds and gold bars. But that shouldn't be too difficult for you." An impish smile was painted on his face, which glowed under the sun that graciously shone down on us. We had gathered at a table on the quad during a brief break between classes.
Felix rolled his eyes as his fingers lightly traced my arm, raising goosebumps under my shirt. I snuggled closer to him and rested my head on his shoulder, feeling content.
Life had been good. I hadn't seen Eric since he attacked me a month ago, and a couple of days after the gruesome event, he was kicked out of school for possessing multiple "illegal substances." I had a feeling Felix had something to do with that. Usually, my moral compass would cause me to feel poorly about someone being falsely accused of something. But I didn't care how Felix got rid of Eric in this case. I was just glad he was gone.
"Mum has a fat ruby that she keeps locked up at home that I think you'd quite like, but knowing you, you'll shove it up your arse at one of your orgies," Venetia snickered.
"Wait, you have orgies?" I asked, joining the conversation. "That oddly makes sense."
"What is that supposed to mean?" Farleigh shot back, turning his attention on me with a sharp raise of his sculpted brow.
"I think it's pretty self-explanatory."
Venetia and I exchanged glances before we burst out laughing. Farleigh tried to retain a sour expression, but I didn't miss how his mouth curled up on one side, showing his true feelings. I stole a quick look at Felix and saw him chuckling. He was relieved to see me getting along with his sister and cousin. It had taken some time, but I was finally accepted into the group, and I could hardly contain my joy. For the first time, I finally felt like I belonged somewhere.
"Shit," Venetia cursed harshly, wiping away the happy haze that had surrounded our small group. "I'm late for my next tutorial. I don't know why I signed up for History of the Theatre. I don't give a fuck about the theatre."
"Is it on Madison Road?" Farleigh asked.
"Yup. I'm going to ruin my new Dior shoes walking over there," she whined.
"Don't worry. I'm sure Daddy will buy you a new pair," Farleigh muttered. "Anyways, I have a class over there later this afternoon, so I'll walk with you. That way, you won't have to face the death of your shoes alone."
"You're too kind, cousin."
After gathering their belongings, they stood in unison and bid us farewell, immediately falling in step together as they departed. Like always, their heads gravitated towards each other, almost touching as they prattled back and forth about various topics, such as a classmate caught wearing a dreadful array of clothing or the latest scandal involving two teachers hooking up in an empty lecture hall. Felix and I watched them cross the grassy quad before they took a sharp turn behind a building, rendering them impossible to see.
"I'm glad you all are getting along. I was worried for a bit that they wouldn't come around. Especially Farleigh," Felix said quietly.
I peered at the crease between his brows and placed a finger there, attempting to smooth the lines and ease the tension on his ethereal face.
"I know me too. But it seems my irresistible charm finally won them over."
Felix smiled, closing his eyes and shaking his head. He then grasped my chin in his hand, bringing my mouth to meet his in a tender kiss. I sighed happily against his lips before I wrapped my arms around his neck, deepening our embrace. Using my teeth, I dragged his bottom lip out, and a deep moan spilled from Felix's throat.
"Fuck," he whimpered. The sound shot straight to my core, and I gazed around quickly before I stood, pulling my boyfriend with me.
"Come with me," I said, lacing our fingers together.
"Where are we going?" he questioned skeptically, sensing I had something mischievous up my sleeve.
"You'll see," I grinned as I quickly walked to a clump of trees in the far corner of the quad with Felix in tow. It was void of any classmates, and my blood surged with anticipation. The trees were arranged in a particular fashion that would prohibit anyone from breaching our privacy if we huddled behind them.
I had been eyeing this spot for weeks and was waiting for the opportunity to bring Felix here. He had let it slip a while back that he occasionally liked to mess around in semi-public spots. But he had made it clear that he wanted to respect my limits and not force me into anything I was uncomfortable with. Since then, I have been searching for the ideal place that was considered public but not so out in the open that we still had an essence of seclusion.
Felix and I reached the group of trees, and I immediately pushed him up against the bark of one and rose onto my tiptoes, brandishing his lips with a searing kiss. He reacted just as I had hoped and wrapped his arms around my waist before greedily palming my ass. I could already feel him hardening against my stomach, and I pulled away, licking my lips. I gazed up at him wide-eyed as I sank to my knees.
I watched his pupils dilate before he glanced around to ensure we were hidden from any passerby's view. "Are you sure, pretty girl? I don't want you to do anything you're uncomfortable with."
I kept my eyes locked with Felix's as I slowly pulled down the zipper of his jeans and ran my fingers along the waistband of his boxers. "I'm sure. I want to make you feel good. Can I do that, Daddy? Please?"
Felix swallowed as he struggled to maintain his composure. "Ok, darling. Show me those pretty lips wrapped around my cock."
I didn't bother to conceal my smirk as I slipped my hand into his boxers and wrapped my hand around his hard length. I never doubted my ability to convince him of this escapade.
As I eased Felix's shaft from the confinement of his boxers, his head fell back against the tree, and I watched in wonder at the sharp line of his jaw and the smooth skin that encompassed his throat. He breathed deeply as I slowly licked from the base of his length to his swollen, red tip that was already leaking pre-cum. My mouth watered at the sight, and I eagerly swirled it around with my tongue before swallowing.
"Jesus Christ. You're going to be the death of me," Felix gasped as he ran his fingers through my hair, creating a makeshift ponytail, urging me to take him in my mouth.
"I can't think of worse ways to die."
My smile was wicked before I closed my lips around his tip and sucked, earning a moan from the man above me. One of his hands came to rest on the side of my jaw, and I took that as my cue to ease more of his length into my mouth.
"That's it, sweetheart. Take my cock like the little whore you are."
I groaned around him, which caused my throat to vibrate in the most glorious way for Felix. With both hands back in my hair, he tugged me forward so his length began descending down my throat. As a natural reaction, I started choking, and my eyes watered, making my vision of Felix blur, and I whined softly.
"I know, darling. Your throat is so full of me, but you'll be a good girl and take it because you want to please me."
Tears ran down my face, and I knew my mascara was surely smudged around my eyes, which Felix loved. He said I never looked prettier than when my makeup was ruined, and my mouth was stuffed with his cock.
Felix pulled himself out of my mouth, much to my dismay, and said, "I'm going to fuck your throat, sweetheart, and then I'm going to cum, and you'll swallow every drop like a good girl. Do you understand?"
I nodded, but Felix pulled my hair, eliciting a whimper from me as my scalp burned. "Use your words, pretty girl-"
"Yes, please, Felix. Use my mouth and throat however you want. I don't care; I just want to make you feel good."
Felix smiled smugly, pleased with my needy behavior. He lined himself up at my lips, and I promptly parted them. His length filled my mouth once again before he pulled out and hastily thrust back in. He soon found a pace that was both punishing and pleasurable, and each time he entered my mouth, his cock eased farther down my throat until I couldn't take any more of him. I drew my hands behind my back as Felix had taught me to do whenever he was using my mouth. I loved showing him how I could remember to be obedient.
His fingers dug into the base of my skull, and drool began dripping down my chin and covering my neck. I hollowed out my cheeks as Felix increased his pace.
"That's it. Just like that," Felix praised. His voice was tight, and I knew it was mere seconds before he would climax. I pulled my hands from where they rested behind my back and cupped his balls, gently squeezing them to send him over the edge.
A low, guttural cry left his mouth as hot ropes of cum shot down my throat, and I eagerly swallowed, not wanting to waste a single drop. Above me, Felix panted heavily as he leaned against the tree behind him and gently messaged my scalp to soothe the lingering ache of his rough actions.
"You did so good for me, darling. I'm so proud of you," he whispered as he gently pulled out of my mouth and quickly tucked himself back into his pants. He guided me to my feet and directly into his warm embrace, and I nuzzled my face in his neck and inhaled, breathing in his familiar scent—a combination of his usual cologne and pure Felix.
He drew random shapes on my back as he held me in his arms and continued to mutter soft words of praise. I would've gladly stayed here forever, but the annoying reminder that I had class popped into my head, and I groaned into the confines of Felix's chest.
"What is it, lovely?" he murmured.
"I have class."
I glanced at the small, gold watch wrapped around my wrist, a recent present from Felix, and saw I only had three minutes to get to a lecture all the way across campus. But I only had myself to blame, considering it was my idea to bring him here and fool around.
"I have a better idea."
I peered up at Felix with curious eyes. He gave me a chaste kiss before wrapping my hand in his calloused one and leading me away from the cover of the trees.
"Where are we going?" I giggled, trying to keep up with his long strides. I had an intense feeling of deja vu.
Felix turned back to look at me playfully. "Back to my room."
"But what about class?"
"What about class? I say, we skip it."
We stopped walking and stood face to face. I tried fixing Felix with my most displeasing stare but failed terribly and gave into the smile that was fighting its way onto my face.
"You're a terrible influence, you know that?"
"You love it."
I love you.
I closed my mouth before the words could fall out and gazed at the ground before looking back into his amber eyes and nodding as soft laughter shook my shoulders. "You're right. I do." I cupped his cheek and pulled his mouth down to mine. The kiss was short, yet it held many emotions and feelings I couldn't share.
When we parted, Felix wore a sly expression. "I take that as a yes, then?"
I shook my head in defeat. "Yes, it is."
"Then right this way, m'lady," Felix announced with a teasing voice as he wrapped an arm around my waist, guiding me toward his dormitory quarters.
✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉
"What are you doing for the summer?"
Felix had an arm flung across my back, holding me against him, and my head rested comfortably on his chest while he asked me about my summer plans. Our clothes had been shed when we entered Felix's room, and the only material covering our bodies now was a thin cotton sheet on his narrow dorm bed.
I snuggled closer to him as I answered, "Home, I suppose. Though I can't say, I'm looking forward to it."
My mother died when I was nine, and since then, my father has run through a long list of wives. I felt like London Tipton with a new stepmother every other month. He recently divorced Synthia, my tenth stepmother, and was already courting number eleven. I would miss number ten, though. Oxford had hosted a family day a few months ago, and of course, my father failed to make an appearance, but Synthia happily showed up in his place. She was the first stepmother to make an effort in a long time, so I was bitter that my father had dumped her, and I was already planning on hating number eleven no matter how "great" she was.
"Hmm," Felix hummed as he traced the outline of my shoulder blade. He seemed deep in thought when I tilted my head up to see his face. His brow furrowed, and he bit his lip before swiping his tongue across it. I would've used that small action as a reason to pounce on him for the third time that day, but I was too curious about the thoughts I could see circulating his mind.
Felix met my eyes, and for the first time, I saw shyness inhibit his features. Bashfulness was not a typical trait for Felix, so I was immediately concerned. "What's on your mind, baby?" I asked as I brushed my hand across his cheek comfortingly.
"I..." He smiled sheepishly as his gaze shot downward. "I was wondering if you'd like to spend the summer with me. At Saltburn."
"Saltburn?"
"Yeah, that's the name of my family's estate. It's where Venetia, Farleigh, and I always spend the summer, and I'd like it if you joined us this year."
I could feel the surprise cross my face, which quickly turned to excitement as I stared at Felix, trying to find words to formulate a response. I knew we hadn't been together long, but what I felt for him was so intense and passionate that spending an entire summer without his warm, consuming presence would drive me mad. I would gladly spend the summer with him anywhere, whether it was a deserted island or his family's estate.
Felix looked at me with a hopeful expression; his eyes searched my face anxiously, and I saw his relief when I finally replied. "I would love to, Felix."
"Really?" He became giddy as he sat up. I joined him in a seated position and grasped his hands.
"Yes. I couldn't bear being without you for the whole summer. It would be pure torture. Plus, I love our little group and can hardly imagine spending the break without Farleigh or Venetia-"
Felix kissed me unexpectedly, swallowing the rest of my sentence. His hands cradled the back of my head before he drew back and sprang up from his bed. He began haphazardly searching for his clothes as he rambled his plans. "I must phone Mum and Dad right away. They knew I was going to ask you, and I've got to tell them you're coming so Duncan has plenty of time to prepare the room next to mine. Of course, you can stay in my room, but Mum prefers everyone to have a certain level of propriety and decorum at Saltburn. I mean, I'm not even allowed to wear my fucking stud there. But it's ok because a bathroom will connect our rooms, so you can sneak over without ever being caught."
Felix was panting by the time he finished his speech. Fully dressed, he rushed back to his bed, falling beside me and covering my face with kisses. I giggled before he captured my lips in a deep, slow kiss. Gone was his high level of energy as he claimed my mouth most sensually. Reluctantly, we parted, and a smile, so happy, so joyful, stretched across his beautiful face. He radiated pure bliss.
"I'll be right back." He pecked me lightly on my nose before grabbing his cell phone and departing from the room, shutting the door softly behind him.
I fell back into his bed and stretched my arms above my head. Elation soared through my body, and I turned my head, spotting the pack of cigarettes and lighter on my boyfriend's bedside table. I had never smoked before meeting Felix, and when I tried it for the first time, I was quickly scolded by him as he said, "You're lungs are too pretty to be damaged by smoke. Give it to me, darling." I had made a show of pouting as I claimed that he had made it look so sexy, and I had just wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
I had tried to convince Felix that I was not interested in anyone telling me what not to do, but I secretly adored how much he cared for me and how my well-being was at the top of his priority list. I had only attempted smoking twice since then, and both times, Felix had promptly hauled me back to his room to "teach me a lesson" for not listening to him. I thoroughly enjoyed both "lessons."
The cigarette was balanced between my lips as I expertly picked up the lighter, flicked the flame to life, and held it to the end of the small, white stick. I breathed in deeply, relishing the way the nicotine reminded me of Felix. Memories traveled to the forefront of my mind of him wrapping his mouth around his own cig and effortlessly inhaling. The images caused my pussy to clench painfully, and I squeezed my legs together tightly. I had spent most of the day in bed with Felix, but I still craved him. I was insatiable when it came to Felix Catton.
Well, speak of the Devil. I saw the doorknob turn before Felix's tall form appeared in the doorway. His eyes immediately honed in on the small object between my lips, and they darkened. "I thought you had finally learned your lesson last time. At least, that's what you promised me when you were on the brink of cumming with a red ass and tears falling from those pretty eyes."
I audibly swallowed as I pulled the cigarette from my mouth and exhaled, letting a puff of smoke spill from my lips. "I don't know what you're talking about," I innocently said before taking another drag.
It took Felix three strides to reach my side and pull the cigarette from my mouth. He harshly ground it in his ashtray before flipping me over onto my stomach. "I guess I won't be as nice this time since you're so intent on being disobedient."
I gazed at him over my shoulder as I felt my pussy flood with wetness. There was no way I was making it to any of my classes today.

a/n: this account has been through so many changes, but it feels good to finally get something out. I loved saltburn and farleigh’s character (archie madekwe). if this gets some love, I’ll write some more!
Tumblr media
You’d walked around the estate so many times, you were starting to memorize the layout. You even began to whisper ‘Hi, Mrs. Catton’ every time you walked by her supposed spirit. You really made yourself at home in Saltburn, ever since Felix invited you. You couldn’t really recall what he said when you asked why, but you didn’t care. This summer was supposed to be unlike any other for you. You were far from home, and you needed the getaway. This was just that.
You roamed the halls, examining each historic object. You often had to look around and ensure Duncan wouldn’t sneak up on you. He was known for that, but you couldn’t stand it. It made you feel uneasy, despite the family having been so kind to you upon your arrival. Felix’s mother had taken a liking, you oftentimes helped out his father, and you and Venetia had become attached at the hip it seemed. It was incomparable to your American household. Your life wasn’t horrible, but it was nothing compared to Saltburn. Wearing a dress and heels to play tennis and drink booze was not something you did back home, but you loved the thrill.
You walked about for a few more moments, before noticing the time on the clock. It was near time for dinner and you really wanted to look your best. You recalled receiving a dress from Elspeth. She’d said you looked ravishing in it, but you were most likely zoned out. All you recall is Elspeth having the maids press and tailor it perfectly so that it accentuates your figure.
You traversed the corridors, whistling softly. That was until you felt a rough grab on your arm. You wanted to scream, but only a gasp escaped. An angered hiss accompanied with a hand rushing to cradle your elbow that was impacted by the door frame. At first, you imagined it would’ve been Felix, but it couldn’t have been. Not with eyes like those ones.
He didn’t pay that much attention to you, or so you thought. He towered over you, with a large grin. His hair was slightly covering his eyes, and only for a moment did all the anger leave your body. But only for a moment.
“Look what I caught~”, Farleigh taunted, hooking a finger beneath your chin. You immediately turned your head, maintaining your look of displeasure for his actions. It was difficult, but you managed something of a pissed off expression.
You glanced down at your elbow, and sighed before meeting his gaze again.
“Fucking hell, Farleigh.. What’s your deal?!”, you scowled. Your brows furrowed, but he seemed amused by it. He always did like the little wrinkle between your eyebrows every time he’d piss you off. It was something he seemed to look forward to. Something he enjoyed all too much.
You couldn’t be mad for long, not with that smile. His smile was too cute for you to hate.
“Aww, I’m sorry. Did I scare you?”, and then he looked down at your elbow. He gave an exaggerated pout, and tilted his head. Not to mention that stupid, poked-out lip. Seriously, how stupid and cute could he look at the same time? “Do you want me to kiss your boo boo and make it all better?
The way he spoke reminded you of how your family would talk down to you, or the boys back home would constantly drink a hot cup of condescending bullshit every morning, just to piss you off. Luckily, your tolerance for any of it was little to none.
“How’s about you kiss my ass?”, you snapped quickly. You hadn’t realized just how close he had been until you took a deep breath and inhaled the fresh scent of Egyptian Musk. You didn’t want to be bothered with his shenanigans. Especially not this close to dinner time. “Hell do you want, Farleigh..? I need to get ready for dinner.”
“Don’t be so harsh, Y/N, I just wanted to talk to you. Come. Sit.”, he strides from you to his bed, and gestured for you to sit beside him.
You knew better than to sit anywhere with Farleigh. It seemed like every girl that was simply within 5 steps of Farleigh had either slept with him, made out with him, lined up with him, or all three. You wish you had done two out of the three.
“I’ll stand.”, you spoke while rubbing your elbow. The tingling began to start and you only took a step or two away from the door, leaning on a nearby dresser.
Farleigh stared at you from the bed and glanced out the nearby window, dragging out a sigh. He was silent for a moment, and for that moment, he looked like a guy. A handsome one with even skin, gorgeous hair, a wonderful smile. His voice made your heart skip one too many beats at a time, but it’s his words that always seemed to ruin everything.
“Why are you here, Y/N?”, he asked in a low tone. He turned his attention back to you, with a sort of expectant look, like he was waiting for you to say something specific.
What the fuck was that supposed to mean? What did he mean, why were you here? Because Felix invited you, that’s why! But that’s not his business. Even if he was the reason, what’s it to him? Nevertheless, you glared at him from where you stood.
“That’s not your business.”
“Isn’t it? You befriend my distant cousin and his family, who already see you as a second daughter. You and Ven, painting your nails and walking around the front lawn with your matching see-through nightgowns. And don’t get me started on you helping with Uncle’s work? You are such a suck up, Y/N… I could read you like a bad magazine.”
What a creep.. How hard was he watching you? He must’ve been watching long because you only helped Mr. Catton every other Sunday, and you and Venetia simply related on a deeper level. You were never a smoker, but you started a social habit. Was Farleigh bothered by the fact that you were warming up to his distant family? Was he feeling left out or something?
“So you’re a stalker? What’s next? You wanna drink my fucking bath water, you freak?”
Farleigh was always entertained by getting a reaction out of people, especially you. Your temper was short and easy to tick sometimes, which only made the show better for him. He laughed and crossed his legs, leaning back slightly. His head tilted back and his curled bounced beneath the rays of the lowering sun.
He was seriously laughing about this? Laughing about watching you so attentively that he could notice the material of your nightgowns or realize where you disappeared for like five hours of every other Sunday. You couldn’t deny that you did enjoy the attention. Venetia was right, those dresses did exactly as intended. Venetia saw how you would glance at Farleigh or look for him like a lost puppy in your free time, she was the only person who knew. You made her promise not to tell a soul, but she promised to make sure he noticed you more by the end of the summer. And by the ghost of Felix’s grandmother, he was practically a certified professional. He knew everything.
You hid your smile, and masked it with a look of displeasure. You planned to squeal about it to Venetia that night whilst you and her walked about the front lawn on your matching nightgowns… right below Farleigh’s window.
“Oh, fuck, Y/N… Be real for once! You know exactly what I mean! You’re a fucking suck up and the only reason you’re doing it, is to get to Felix! You’re like every other bitch at Oxford! You want to fuck him, be his new favorite toy, and then try your best to stay with him… Really, you’re pathetic!”
You closed your eyes, trying to process the words he said to you. Suck up. Every other bitch. Fuck Felix… Pathetic?! Either he was high off of his ass or truly needed a rise out of you.
“Did you just call me a slut, you prick?”
“If the shoe fits, honey..”
“Fuck you.”, were the last words you muttered to him before you turned away and left Farleigh’s bedroom, slamming the door behind yourself and quickly going further down the hall, to your bedroom.
You closed the door behind yourself, and sighed. You pressed your forehead against the wooden engravings of the door, and locked it. That was.. tense. Unnecessarily tense, at that. He could always be crass, but out right calling you a slut didn’t seem like his forte. At least, it didn’t seem to be, but what did you know? You just wanted to fuck Felix, right? Farleigh was many things but he wasn’t stupid, there was no way he could’ve been that oblivious to what you’ve been doing…
“Ahem.”, a familiar voice said from your bed. You wondered why it smelled like roses, perfume, and smoke.
“Ah.. Ven, hey. I- uh.. Wha-… Fuck. What are you doing here?”, you asked and pulled your cardigan off, being only left in a bra.
You walked over and sat beside her, whilst she turned and rested her legs atop your lap. You rested your arms over them, and glanced over to which she handed you the lit cigarette in between her sloppily painted nails.
“Well… I was going to ask if you knew what you were gonna wear tonight ‘cuz I wanted to match, but you weren’t here so I thought I’d just wait. What took you?”
You gulped slightly, and sighed whilst allowing the smoke to seep out of your nostrils. You maneuvered the white stick in your hands, while trying to figure out how to word it. He called you a slut? He called you pathetic?
“I.. was in Farleigh’s…”
You blew the smoke from your lips and nose, before handing the cigarette back to her. To which, she laughed and wrapped an arm around you.
“What?! Oh em fuck, tell me everything! Did you guys kiss, make out, make plans for later~?”
You laughed at Venetia’s response, but it had you thinking. You wish that was the case, but it wasn’t. He had everything totally out of line. He believed that you wanted Felix, and you still didn’t have the right mind to just come out and tell him that it was him you wanted… You made a slight face of disappointment and shook your head to which Venetia cooked and held your face comfortingly.
A few seconds later, you hear a small knock at the door.
“Excuse me! Y/N, are you in there? I’ve got your dress pressed out for you!”, a meek voice called out.
It was one of the handmaids. You weren’t really supposed to see her, but you were able to catch her once. When you did, you asked her to be more.. friendly with you. To appear more, and whilst she was hesitant, she did it nonetheless.
“Come in!”, you called back.
She opened the door, to reveal a dark red dress concealed by a plastic dress bag. The small woman opened your closet door and hung it upon a hook that was screwed into the door.
“It’s perfect! Thank yo-“, you started, but before you could finish your sentence, she had scrambled off, and out the door, making you and Venetia giggle.
“What happened then?”
You sighed, before taking and handing back the cigarette.
”He caught me off guard, and pulled me into his room. He said he wanted to talk, but then he asked why I was here! Fuck, Venetia! He said I wanted to fuck Felix! Are you fucking kidding me?! All this just for him to think it was fucking Felix, of all people!”
Venetia snickered and wrapped her arm around you, whilst she hummed, blowing out more of the smoke. The small white paper was stained with her red lip stain.
“Farleigh’s not that aware of… uhhh… cues? He’s dumb, like super socially stupid! I literally do not get what you see in someone who’s that fucking moronic.” Venetia chuckled to which you let out a soft sigh, filled with disappointment.
Venetia got up and planted a small peck on your nose and got up from her place, patting your thigh. “I’ll see you later, Y/N!! Gotta get ready!” She smiled and winked, before leaving your bedroom and closing the door behind her.
You waved and sighed as you sat on the bed, pondering about your conversation with him. You weren’t even really processing anything. You kept going back to his hair, his eyes, his scent, and that stupid playful personality that made you want to kick him, but then pull him right back in for a kiss. You’d have to fangirl later though, dinner was in an hour and a half.
It never took you long to get dressed. You wore light makeup, did your hair, and chose a few golden accessories. Something that would really please Elspeth. Damn, were you actually sucking up to her? You loved gold. You admired the way the shining bracelets adorned your wrist, and smiled. You felt so pretty. But you were starting to prove Farleigh’s point. It was a stupid point, but valid, nonetheless.
You stood in the mirror, adjusting your dress to perfection and ensuring you look just as Elspeth said you would. Ravishing. You touched up your make-up and teased your hair, until it was just as you liked.
“Y/N? Have you dressed? Mr. And Mrs. Catton are awaiting you and young Farleigh.”, a monotone voice of seriousness shot through your doors.
“Yes, Duncan. I’m ready. I’ll be out in just a minute!”
“Very well…”, was said before you hear the sound of sharp steps being made away from your door.
You truly didn’t have much to do before you finally considered yourself ready for dinner. The rule was dress up, which included a small bag for you. So you stuffed lipstick, a powder pallet, a highlighter, and lip gloss into the bag.
A final check was made before you finally went your bedroom door, and you were met with a fine surprise.
“Oh? Was someone happy to see me?”
Your eyes went wide while Farleigh stood there with his fist up, assuming he didn’t even get a chance to knock.
“Shut up, Farleigh. Why aren’t you at dinner? You’ll be late, waiting on me.”, you scowled once more, that little wrinkle he enjoyed seeing becoming prominent.
“Actually, I wanted to walk with you again. After dinner.”
THE END.

"I'm sorry," I said with an evident crack in my voice as I sank my teeth into my lower lip to keep my emotions at bay. The last thing I needed was to break down in the middle of the quad.
"Save it," Eric, my boyfriend, snapped. "Your apologies don't mean shit."
His glare was lethal before turning to walk briskly toward the dining hall for lunch, and I hurried behind him, attempting to catch up. But I halted my movements when he whipped his head around, regarding me sternly.
"Don't follow me. You're not allowed to eat lunch with me today."
"But-"
"No. You can eat by yourself. That way, you'll finally learn your lesson."
My eyes stung with tears as I grew desperate not to be shunned by him, whimpering, "Please, Eric, I-"
Eric raised his hand above his head, and I instantly cowered back, trying to avoid the impending blow.
"Don't make me do it," He whispered darkly, referencing his hand in the air that could strike me at any moment.
Before I could form a coherent response, my boyfriend spun back around and continued on his way while I hastily wiped the few stray tears tumbling down my cheeks and glanced around the quad to ensure no one had seen what had transpired.
Students were lying down on the lush, green grass as they attempted to soak up the few rays of sunshine England rarely offered, and luckily, they all seemed completely unaware of my presence.
All except for one.
I almost hadn't noticed him. I was about to turn toward the library when we locked eyes. Deep brown. Warm like the sun and soft like the grass beneath our feet. He was beautiful. But I couldn't miss the look of pity on his face.
My cheeks warmed when I realized that he had seen the altercation between Eric and me, and I was sure he considered me to be as pathetic as Eric did. Because I was...right?
My shoulders drooped in shame as I looked away from the beautiful stranger, but the sound of footsteps caused my eyes to shoot right back up, and I stared wide-eyed as the man gracefully swept over the emerald landscape in my direction.
I ceased to move. I was utterly shocked that someone like him would approach someone like me willingly.
"You alright?" His melodic voice washed over me, and a calmness accompanied it.
"What?" I asked, dazed and confused.
"I was just wondering if you were all right. I saw that bloke giving you a hard time and wanted to ensure I didn't need to straighten him out."
A surprised laugh bubbled up from my throat. The idea of anyone being able to straighten Eric out seemed preposterous.
I regained my composure before replying. "Uh, no, everything is quite alright. My boyfriend is just having a bad day. School seems to be stressing him out at the moment."
I mentally applauded myself for how smoothly my lie rolled off my tongue while the the stranger regarded me curiously.
"You're American," he said, referring to my lack of an English accent.
"Yup," I answered, shifting my weight from one foot to the other.
"Well, does the American have a name?" he asked, teasing me gently. I couldn't miss the twinkle in his eyes as he waited for my reply.
"Iris."
"Like the song?" He stepped forward, closing the distance between us.
"Yeah, my parents were massive Goo Goo Dolls fans," I chuckled softly.
"Well, Iris, would you like to have lunch with us?" He threw his thumb over his shoulder, directing my attention to one of the groups of students sprawled out on the lawn.
"Oh, that's ok. I couldn't possibly intrude."
"Rubbish. You wouldn't be intruding at all," He said, slinging an arm over my shoulders. "Besides, someone's got to welcome you to this country properly because, by the looks of it, your boyfriend has not done a very good job."
I let him guide me towards his friends as I asked, "So, what's your name? It's only fair that you return the favor."
I lifted my chin, and our gazes clashed, causing my heart to beat erratically.
"Felix." The name tumbled from his full lips, and I relished the sound of it. His name was perfect. Just like him.
We arrived at a tangled group of limbs on the grass. Felix's friends prattled on together as they lay in a small heap on the ground.
"Ignore them if they start bothering you," Felix whispered, leaning in close, "They can have a habit of coming on too strong. Especially Farleigh."
"Which one is Farleigh?" I wondered aloud
"You're about to find out." His breath tickled my neck as he drew his lips away from my ear. Tiny tingles danced down my spine, and goosebumps littered my skin most deliciously.
"And who do we have here?"
The question came from one of the two boys on the lawn. His skin glowed a golden brown, and his eyes swam with many questions.
"This is Iris, and she will be having lunch with us today," replied Felix merrily.
The one, who I assumed to be Farleigh, did little to hide his assessment of me. His dark eyes ran the length of my physique before a sly grin stretched across his face.
"Nice job, Lex. She's even prettier than the last one."
I didn't miss Felix's sharp glare at Farleigh but was quickly distracted by the other brunette boy as he attempted to pass his snicker off as a mere cough. He sat beside Farleigh but made no move to interject himself into the conversation.
I loitered before them awkwardly. They didn't even know me, yet I could feel their judgment wafting off them potently.
"Play nice, Farleigh," Felix chastised.
"My apologies," Farleigh replied as he rose to his full height. He stepped forward and courteously extended his hand. "I'm Farleigh, as I'm sure you've already figured out. And that's Oliver over there," he said, nodding his head towards the previously snickering boy who hadn't bothered to stand up.
"Just Ollie," he muttered from his place on the ground.
"Iris," I mumbled quietly.
Farleigh continued to hold my hand for several beats too long before Felix cleared his throat loudly. My hand was promptly dropped.
Felix made himself comfortable on the thick grass before reaching up with his hand and gently tugging me down with him.
"Where's V?" He asked as I gingerly sat beside him.
"Blowing her TA," Farleigh casually replied as he picked up today's paper and pretended to examine its various articles.
"I knew you transferring here was a terrible idea. She's learning all your bad habits," Felix retorted.
Farleigh merely snorted before changing the subject to gossip about the World History Teacher. A student had found Mr. West's Grindr account, and now the pupil was threatening to tell his wife unless Mr. West gave him an A for the rest of the year.
I resorted to picking the fraying cuff of my jeans out of sheer awkwardness and boredom. My eyes wandered the quad full of laughing, elated students before finally resting on the meager boy still seated beside Farleigh. His gaze flew back and forth between Felix and Farleigh as if he were watching a riveting tennis match. It was impossible not to miss the adoration and longing painted on his features. I felt his obvious emotions had nothing to do with Mr. West and everything to do with the two people in front of him. His silent reverence would convince one that he was in the presence of gods and not men.
But maybe that's what they were to Oliver: gods, not mortals.
"Sorry, I'm late!"
I whipped around to locate the voice that rang through the air and saw a majestic sight. Blonde hair flew behind a brightly smiling, pale girl as she hurtled towards our huddle on the ground.
"It's about time, V," Farleigh said. "We were beginning to think Jason had kidnapped you."
It's Mr. Fellcraft," she corrected as she flounced down on the other side of Felix and made herself busy spreading her long, floral skirt around her on the earth.
"Yes, but it's Jason to you. And that's what matters," Farleigh countered.
The girl known as "V" only responded with a scowl before returning her attention back to her skirt.
"V, we wouldn't tease you about it if it wasn't so glaringly obvious that you're shagging the guy. And as your brother, I need to know if everything is consensual because I will happily have a chat with the fellow if need be."
"Calm down, little brother. All is well. It's just a bit of fun.”
I wasn't sure I would regard hooking up with a teaching assistant as a "bit of fun."
"Besides," She said, "I don't particularly want to discuss my time with Mr. Fellcraft. I'd much rather talk about the girl sitting next to you, Felix, who looks like she'd rather be elsewhere."
Felix gave a small roll of his eyes before swiftly introducing me to his sister.
"V, this is Iris. She's going to be joining us for lunch this afternoon. Iris, this is-"
"Venetia. Venetia Catton," she cut in before her brother could continue with the introduction. "The pleasure is all mine, I'm sure."
Venetia extended her hand, palm down, as if she expected me to kiss it. Unsure of what to do, I grasped the ends of her slender fingers in what appeared to be an uncoordinated handshake and she giggled at me as if I was a small, confused child who was too stupid for their own good.
I adverted my eyes as a quiet fell over the group, and breeze came by, sweeping my long, honey-colored hair off of my shoulders.
"Let's head inside, yeah?" Felix asked, breaking the silence. "Since everyone is here."
"Everyone and a guest," Farleigh muttered under his breath as we all stood in unison.
I stuck close to Felix's side so as not to hear what other snarky things I was sure Farleigh and Venetia were saying about me. They walked several feet ahead with their heads bowed together, whispering back and forth. No wonder this group was so small. They obviously didn't like newcomers.
Except for Felix.
I looked up at him and found his eyes already settled on me. He offered a soft smile. "Don't mind them. We're all rather protective of each other, so new additions can be met with some skepticism."
"I don't know if I would call it skepticism. It seems more like downright disdain to me," I chuckled faintly.
"No," Felix replied, shaking his head adamantly. "Once they see how I've accepted you, they'll follow suit."
"Are you their leader or something?" I asked, suspicion and curiosity lacing my voice.
"Or something," He murmured, shifting his gaze straight ahead as we entered Oxford's primitive dining hall.

But I’ve had a lot of motivation for writing, so I’ve been able to finish some projects, continue working projects, and make new projects! With all that being said, please enjoy! <3

You stared in awe at the request, and while it was a simple request, it was Farleigh you were talking about here, it was never *just* what he said it was.
After a few moments, the lack of sound became awkward and you cleared your throat before averting your gaze from his, and in record time too. You would stare for hours more if he let you, drowning in the warmth of him.
“Uh.. Yea. Sure, we can talk after dinner. Just, I don’t want to be out late. So this had better not take long.”, you sighed and made a step to wake past the taller.
As you walked, you could hear him following behind you at a rather long distance. Likely, he didn’t want to be seen late with you. You practically strutted into the dining hall, greeting Duncan with a nod and taking your place beside Venetia, who waved at you.
“Y/N, dear, are you alright?”, Elspeth asked, whilst nearing her glass to her lips. “The dress, dear, how do you like it?”
You smiled at the woman and straightened your posture, before nodding. Before you responded, the doors opened again and there he was. He took his place, across from you, beside Felix. You stared for a moment, whilst he thanked Duncan for filling his glass before turning to Elspeth again.
“The dress, yes, it’s perfect just as you said. It fits me perfectly, and I didn’t realize how well it fits the season.”
Elspeth smiled at your response, as if impressed by it.
“Wonderful. Please, try to get ample rest tonight, won’t you, dear? I have ordered a tailor to come and mend some dresses I used to wear back in the day. Is that alright with you?”
You opened your mouth to answer and caught Farleigh’s gaze on the corner of your eye, who’s cheek was stretching by the way his tongue pushed at his gums. He was expecting you to say something, and you were compelled to obey. You couldn’t imagine a world where you didn’t..
“Could we reschedule it? I.. I- I’d wanted to try and contact my family, and I want to make sure I tell them everything! I don’t want to forget a single detail.”
Elspeth thought for a moment, and sighed.
“Yes, I see. You are from America, perhaps Farleigh will be of assistance then. He is from there, but his time at Saltburn is practically unmeasurable. Farleigh, you’ll help Y/N with her letter to her parents, yes? Perhaps, you’ll even contact your mother, it’s been a while.”
Farleigh clearly hadn’t been listening, because his gaze was still fixed on you. Focused even, it made your heart stop. Felix had probably kicked his leg or something, because it was almost as if he was woken from a trance and nodded, smiling at Elspeth.
“I’ll help her, auntie. She’ll be just fine.”
“I’d hope so.”, she said with a nod and turned her attention to Duncan. “We’re ready to eat.”
“Understood, I will begin serving.”, he said in a deadpan tone.
Dinner went as it usually did. You held conversation with Venetia, laughing like two preschool girls. Felix maintained conversation with Farleigh, but no matter what, you felt his eyes boring holes in your skin. You and James, or Mr. Catton, had shared a few words about your previous meeting in his study, discussing his businesses.
The food, per usual, was cooked to utter perfection and you enjoyed it just as you had the entire summer. However, you couldn’t help that you were being watched. Sure, you didn’t eat like everyone else but nobody cared. That is until you looked up and saw him, eyeballing the way the prongs of your fork disappeared in between your plush lips. You stared back at him, arching a brow. In response, he only smiled.
This was some game to him, and part of you loved the thrill, but it wasn’t all that enticing. You were set, confident, that Farleigh had no interest in you. No serious interest, that is. You still held a small anger towards him for accusing you of wanting to get with Felix. You and Felix were friends, but anything beyond that just didn’t seem in the cards for you.
You knew that for a fact when you considered devising a plan to make him jealous, but that only sounded even more childish. You couldn’t believe how hellbent you were. All over the likes of Farleigh… All over a 6’5, slender, curly haired beauty… With the voice that would make an angel cry. It sure made you cry, because you couldn’t have it.
After dinner and dessert, you had tried to prolong leaving the table as much as you could. Part of you was eager to get up and excuse yourself from dinner, but being alone with Farleigh was something that you weren’t sure about completely. Even the way he slouched in his seat made you slightly nervous.
First Felix, then Venetia, Elspeth was the last to leave the table that night and all that was left was you, and him. You stared at the cloth of the table, evading his direct gaze before lowering your glass for the final time. The silence was starting to cause a small ringing in your ears, but he shifted and leaned forward, with a stupidly adorable grin on his face.
“Are you finally done avoiding me? Or can you fit more dessert?”
You grumbled and grabbed your purse before standing up and turning to the exit. What were you doing? You said you’d talk after dinner, where were you going?! You didn’t know.. maybe you thought if he really wanted to talk to you, he’d come for you. He’d chase you like a beast, trying to catch that one meal.. that got away.
You expected it, nonetheless. Farleigh loved games, and he was never one to back down from a challenge. You traversed the hallways, listening to excited and hushed chuckles trailing behind you. His presence made the hairs on your nape stand at attention, before you felt warm hands on your wrist.
“Trying to run away, hm? I thought you said we’d talk…”, he gave you that teasing pouty face. The one that made you want to slap him and then kiss him all better. “Is it because I called you a whore for my cousin?”
You stared at him and snatched your wrist from him.
“I am not trying to run away. I… What do you want?”, you asked. Your tone was cold, and you spoke with a sort of exasperation.
“I want to talk. Outside.”
“Right here is just fine, Farleigh. It’s cold, and I don’t want this dress getting messed up.”
Farleigh watched you for a moment, and bent down, being now only a couple of inches from your face. His eyes stared into yours and you averted him, like oil and water. You could feel his breath on your lips, and you’re sure he could feel your breath on his.
You couldn’t deviate much longer, until you met his gaze. Once you were in, he locked you in. You couldn’t turn your head, were you scared too? Did he really have that big of a grip on you?
“Do you really want to do this here? Anybody could see us, hell, Felix could walk out of his room now.. and see his new toy becoming *my* new toy.”
The breath in your chest was gone, and you couldn’t inhale for any. You stood there, unresponsive and wide-eyed like a deer in headlights.
Maybe he was trying to get a response out of you because he edged closer, his gaze moving down to your lips. With a swift hand movement, you grabbed his hair and moved his head aside. He hissed and whined slightly, before you quickly released his hair.
“I’m- shit! I’m sorry!”
He returned to his full height and rubbed his head, checking his fingers for any blood before hooking a finger under your chin and moving you closer to him.
“You’re a kinky one, aren’t you? Really. I think Felix might like you!”
Your look of concern and worry turned to once of dullness and a slight rage. You bit your tongue, and brushed your eyelashes with the pad of your finger before turning around.
“Let’s go. We are going to talk, and that’s it. Do I make myself perfectly fucking clear?”
Farleigh practically jumped to your side and offered his arm with a cheesy grin, before you looked at him for a split second and continued walking and you could hear the defeated sigh behind which caused a small grin to appear on your face.
Outside, the air was brisk and cold, causing a shiver to cree up your spine. You didn’t want to be outside like this. Your dress was spaghetti strapped which still tended to slide off every now and then. You stared up at the moon, and sighed. Saltburn was beautiful at night, like a dreamland, almost.
“Do you think.. I’m stupid, Y/N?”
What a way to ruin such a majestic moment… You turned to face the taller and arched your brow.
“What are you on about, Farleigh? What kind of question is that?”
“A simple one. Now answer me, do you think that I am stupid?”, he repeated in a low tone, as if demanding you.
You were slightly taken aback by his tone and shift of mood, before he moved ahead. He walked down the stairs and before he could get too far, he turned back and gestured for you to follow him.
As if being pulled by a string, you followed behind him and tried to catch up to him. His long strides were equivalent to about three of your steps, so you lifted your dress as to avoid any collateral to the dramatic fabrics, before falling a step behind the male.
Where he was going, you could’ve say… He could be trying to pull you into the fields, or.. go skinny dipping in the pool?
“A little fiend, with the habit of smoking and using cheap perfume to cover it up, told me… that I could be so stupid”, he started. “Pfft, she didn’t even stop there. She said I was clueless, oblivious! I just have to know, is that what you two giggle about all the time?”
Your lips straightened tightly as the response, as you lowered your head. You felt cornered in the wide yard of Saltburn. You knew Venetia would eventually sing like a bird.. but she sung in riddle, so maybe Farleigh wasn’t.. because he didn’t ask anybody else, or not that you knew of, but he certainly asked you, and to go this far, it’s something serious, right? Like your feelings for him..
Before you knew it, you were walking into the maze. You hated mazes. Ever since the big accident when you were six, you couldn’t stand a maze. You never dared set foot in another one, but you just couldn’t stop following him. It’s like he had a leash around your throat, and even if you tried to defy his motion, he’d still just pull you along. But you trusted something in Farleigh.
When the four of you had spent the night in the field, you all told each other your childish fears. Felix was afraid of doppelgängers, Venetia was afraid of ugliness, oddly similar to her mother, and Farleigh.. well.. he didn’t really answer. He said he was afraid of not having enough to sniff, but that just didn’t seem genuine, and yet even now, you trusted him with your darkest fear.
It felt likes dreary hours of walking had passed you by before you were met with a menacing figure that was stationed atop a stone pedestal. Farleigh stood at a distance, staring up at the still depiction. It was creepy, almost as if Farleigh and the being shared a conversation. You stood only a step behind the taller, hands resting at your side.
The tension was thick, you could tell. He had asked you so many questions thus far, it was so clear that he wanted a direct answer for once…
“I don’t think you’re stupid… but, you are.. really oblivious.”, you sighed and began to pick at your nails, a nervous habit you’ve had since sophomore year of highschool. “Farleigh.. I have.. never, ever wanted Felix. He will always be a friend.”
He glanced back, a stupid grin on his face followed by a snicker.
“Then what did you want? Don’t tell me you did all this to get up under Uncle? Or rather.. on top of Uncle..”
Your expression soured and you huffed, dropping your hands back down to your side. You wanted to cry, being reminded of that nauseating embarrassment. Being teased and made fun of, especially when it was funny.
Without a thought, you moved in front of him to which his eyes fell to yours, and by surprise, you weren’t bewitched. You pointed your finger at him, before repeatedly poking at his chest.
“You half witted, dense motherrfucker! Goddamnit, Farleigh! You, I wanted you! All this time, I wanted Felix to be friends with me so I could get to you! I’ve liked you since we got assigned that reading project! Even after you treated me like shit! You got me wasted as fuck, and then.. you.. you fucking left me to do it all alone! Ugh! You are so self absorbed and inconsiderate. God, Farleigh! I hate you!”
Each word poured out of your mouth like a never ending bottle of wine, tainted with the spices of your passionate emotion and raw feeling. You panted as you finished, realizing you hadn’t breathed once after all of that. You could feel his eyes on you, and when you looked up, he seemed calm. It was unsettling.
He was just.. staring at you with a mellowed smirk. You hated it, and yet you wanted to kiss him so badly. You wanted to lock your lips with his, having always wondered what they could possibly taste like. Would they send you on a high? Would they be as bitter as his tongue?
As if he read your mind, he stepped closer. You stepped back. He stepped closer again, and you stepped back. This time, whilst he stepped, he grabbed your hand and interlocked his large digits with yours. You tried to step back, but you were met with the cold stone of the statue, not daring to look up.
He leaned closer towards you, this time leaning down. You could feel his breath against your lips. You.. really wanted to kiss him.
“If you wanted me, then why didn’t you just say that?”, he asked softly.
He moved closer, but instead you turned your head from him. It was.. odd. You’d wanted this. You wanted his attention. You wanted him to care. You wanted him to react. You wanted him to like you, and that’s what stopped you. Did he even like you?
“I… I don’t want you to do this.”
“Do what? If anything, I thought you’d want me to kiss you.”, he said and detached from your hand, and instead grasped your chin, using his thumb to caress your bottom lip. “Isn’t that what you wanted from all this?”
“I do.. it’s just. Do you want this?”, you asked in a soft, inquiring tone.
“What do you mean?”
“Do you want me too? Don’t just.. kiss me because I want it. Kiss me because.. you’ve been thinking about my lips the way that I’ve thought about yours.. I don’t want this, I don’t want us to be forced because of my desires. Farleigh, I want you to want me. I want you to love me..”
You hadn’t realized it until the wind blew, as if a warning for what you’d just said. You used the L word, but you were sure Farleigh knew what you meant, right?
“Fuck, you sound like a lovesick puppy. If I’d known you wanted me this badly, I’d have skipped all the other bullshit..”
You sighed and chewed on your bottom lip, looking at him. Begging for a genuine response. You wanted to know. Did he even feel a slight spark? Anything? But.. he said nothing. He just stared into your eyes, almost with something of an apathy for your emotions. It made you want to cry, and you did. Your eyes got glossy and stung from the cold air, as you searched for anything in his eyes. A feeling, a thought, anything. But there was nothing.
“Just… forget… I.. just forget I said anything..”, you mumbled shakily, and moved past him. You started to walk away, until you felt an arm grab your hand, pull you in, and hold your arm.
“What if I said I did love you?”
You sniffled, refusing to look into his eyes again. You knew you’d fall under his spell in a matter of seconds of looking. You didn’t want to fall for it anymore, you couldn’t. It hurt too much.
“You can’t just say it, Farleigh. You have to mean it, with everything. You have to be so sure, more sure about it than your own name, that you love me.”
For a moment , it was silent whilst the two of you stood there. You shivered and shook, wiping your eyes and breathing softly. You didn’t want to, but you looked up to try and assess him. This time his expression made it worse.
He looked confused; perplexed; simply dumbfounded. That made your blood boil with anger, and you felt nothing but pure humiliation. You stared and snatched your arm from him, slowly stepping back. The words were there and they banged against your lips, begging for you to let them fly, be free of their cage.
“…D..— Do you even know how to love?!”
THE END.
