270 follower celebration og post
Warnings: none. Echo being a cute lil shit from across the galaxy. Reader works at Cid’s tavern
Flimsi love notes (Tbb!Echo x Reader)
The first one you found was in your apron. His Aurabesh might have been a little screwed since his left hand wasn’t his dominant, but you could read Echo’s handwriting anywhere.
“If you’re reading this I’m probably thinking of you cyare. Love you and be safe. I’ll be back soon.”
Ever since the Bad Batch had stumbled into Cid’s tavern, you’d had your eye on him. To this day he couldn’t understand why out of every member of the batch you chose him, but hey. He couldn’t complain.
There would always be one where he knew you’d see it every time he was away. Sometimes they would be tucked behind the mirror in your ‘fresher, other times in your bag, or under your pillow where he knew you’d slide your hand before you went to sleep.
Cid’s growl came from across the room.
“Hey laser brain! Bar needs to be cleaned off. There’s another note over here for ya. You kriffing lovebirds are going to be the death of me.”
You sighed and picked up the washrag, only stopping to take a peek at the aforementioned note.
“How’s my Mesh’la doing today, huh? Call me later tonight.”
Maker, this man might not be perfect, but he was certainly trying. You finished your shift at the bar and walked home, anticipating to hear his voice after a long day. You dropped your bag at the door and flopped down on the bed, pulling out your comm.
“Mesh’la?” He answered. You smiled at the warmth in his voice.
“I got your note, Echo. You are the sweetest.”
He laughed, voice low and raspy. “I try my best. How was your day?”
“Long and boring. I’m about ready to quit and demand that Hunter let me join you guys.”
“That wouldn’t be a bad idea, but some training would be needed.”
“Well lucky me I’ve got one of the best ARC troopers for a boyfriend.”
“I’m the only ARC trooper you know, Mesh’la.”
“And you’re the best in my book.”
“Can you do something for me really quick?”
Your eyebrows scrunched. “Sure?”
“Unlock your door.”
You didn’t move. “What?”
“Unlock the door!”
Something clicked in your head and you scrambled off of the bed to your front door. Throwing it open, you practically burst with happiness when you saw him.
“ECHO!” You screeched, throwing yourself into his arms. He laughed lightly. “We got done early. Figured you could use another surprise to keep you on your toes.”
“I’ve come to expect anything and everything from you, Echo.” You mumbled into his shoulder. “Just never know what’s next.”
He pressed a kiss to your temple and nuzzled his nose in your hair.
“Love you Mesh’la. So much.”
You tighten your arms around him. “Love you too, Echo. Even more.”

Echo Of Your Mind (One-Shot)
Help, I'm officially an Echo girlie now. Thanks to @nahoney22 for helping me cross that line with her one-shot That Floral Dress. I got inspired to write my own one-shot after reading hers, and finished it in two days (I may have neglected my sleeping scedule again). I should have focused on other things (like my job), but this gorgeous man doesn't leave my mind alone.
Besides this story being some appreciation for Echo, I dedicate this to all the anxious/introverted/super shy people out there. I feel you, I've been there (I still am), but I found my place in this galaxy. You'll find your place as well!

PART I | MORNING
19 BBY, Ord Mantell | Ord Mantell City
Ord Mantell City is a miserable place. To you, at least. You were born here, and are still residing here as an adult. You don't know anyone or any place else in the galaxy, for you've never been away from this forsaken planet.
Of course you have read about the war on the HoloNews, heard stories from seedy strangers roaming the city. But nothing of significance had happened on this planet, nothing that had affected your life. Now that Ord Mantell was under Imperial command, you find nothing much has changed. The place is still awful, and you prefer to remain near your home.
Sudden shouting from the upstairs neighbours disturb your thoughts. You sigh as you get up from the uncomfortable, worn out sofa in your living room, walking towards your front door. You grab a broom on the way and walk outside, taking in the sultry air that holds a grasp on the City.
Your porch is probably the cleanest of Ord Mantell City, since every time you need to clear your head, you find yourself sweeping it. Out of habit, you keep a lookout for any sinister individuals, ready to jolt back inside if you feel something is off.
Which has happened a lot, since Cid’s Parlor is located right across the alley. The bar isn't a crowded one, but most visitors provoke an unpleasant feeling inside you. There was a time during the war it got visited by elegant individuals in static robes occasionally, but times have changed.
The only usuals now are an Ithorian and a Weequay, lurking around the place on a daily basis. You had wondered if they didn't have anything better to do, places to be, only to realise this was Ord Mantell City; there wasn't anything better to do.
A shiver down your spine makes you look up. It is morning and the sun is up, but the narrow, dark alley is mostly lit by the neon signboards hanging from the adjacent buildings. They shed a light on a group of strangers as they come walking around the corner, into the alleyway.
Clumsily, you fidget with your residence’s keycard, nervous feelings taking over as you try to get back inside as quickly as possible. The front door whooshes open and you enter your home, making sure the door closes right behind you.
You take a moment to steady your breathing before walking towards the small, dirty window beside the front door. You clean it quite often, but the city's filth keeps finding its way back to it.
As you wipe some condensation from the inside of the window, you see the strangers halt right in front of Cid’s. You know you shouldn't keep lingering at the window like this; what if they spot you? But something about the strangers piques your interest, and you find it hard to pull away.
“This is the place,” you hear one of them remark in a determined way, before another responds cynically with: “Charming.”
The group consists of four adults, wearing mostly dark, battle-worn armour, their faces hidden behind intimidating helmets. In between them, there is a young, energetic girl with short, blonde hair. You raise a brow as you watch them descend the stairs into the bar, not averting your gaze until they disappear from your view.
With your mind racing, you find yourself strolling back to the sofa, sitting down when you reach it. You have never seen anything like these strangers at Cid's before, and you wonder what the Trandoshan is up to now.
Although obviously customised, their armour did remind you of the attire worn by clones, the former Republic's soldiers. You have never seen any with your own eyes before, but you remember seeing pictures and holovids on the HoloNet.
As your thoughts wander, you finally find something to do, distracting you from what you just witnessed. You continue your daily activities and leave the strangers to Cid.
---
During the following days and weeks, you get occasional glimpses of the strangers. They seem to have some business going on with Cid, because you can't imagine them revisiting the bar for its atmosphere. You even get some glimpses of the adults without their helmets, which only confuses you more. You thought they were clones, but they look nothing alike?
Since you have a lot of time alone with your thoughts, you find them on your mind more often. Who are they, where did they come from, did they fight in the war? Are they really clones, were they soldiers, and what are they now, perhaps bounty hunters? But what is the young girl doing with them? She looked happy and enthusiastic. What is a kid like her doing with such companions?
---
One of those days, you find yourself walking through the alley with some groceries in your arms. You hold everything together clumsily, admitting you're probably carrying too much in one go. When you finally make it to your front door, you reach for your keycard in your right pocket - only to find out it isn't there.
You scold yourself softly as you fidget through your pockets, hoping you just put it in a different one. Your groceries start sliding away, a piece of fruit falling on your porch and rolling away into the alleyway.
“Let me help you with that,” you suddenly hear a voice behind you. Eyes wide open, you look up in shock, previously unaware of the fact you weren't alone. You look right into the face of one of Cid's newest associates. Your breath gets caught in the back of your throat as you stand frozen to the ground.
The male walks up to you, the fallen piece of fruit in his hand. He puts it back with the other groceries, before taking the load out of your arms. When you don't move or reply, he takes a step back. “I'm sorry if I startled you,” he says whilst averting his gaze from you for a brief moment.
You look up at his face. It somewhat reminds you of what you've seen from clones on the HoloNet, but it isn't an exact copy. Pale skin, sunken cheeks, dark rims below his eyes. On the top of his head, you see numerous cybernetic implants, and bend around the back of his head is a metal headpiece. He definitely doesn't look like a typical clone.
When you look back into his eyes, you can see them filled with kindness, concern even. You regain yourself, as you don't want to come over as rude. “I-I’m sorry,” you stammer, your eyes darting back and forth as you don't know where to focus them, “I'm not really used to..”
“Clones?” he finishes your sentence, as you clearly didn't know what term to use. A comforting smile appears on his face, and you feel a bit more at ease instantly. “Well, social interaction in general,” you blurt out, immediately followed by a blush on your cheeks. He chuckles amused, as you shuffle on your feet awkwardly.
You suddenly realise you were in the middle of a keycard crisis, and you continue your search. It proves way more effective without any groceries blocking your arms, and it doesn't take you long before you find it - in a different pocket than usual, of course. You put the card in the slot and the front door whooshes open.
With a cautious smile on your face, you gesture to the clone to enter your very humble abode. He enters, and once inside, you pass him to show him a spot in your kitchen to put down the groceries. He manages without any more falling food, which you find rather impressive, given the fact how you had struggled with them earlier.
When he retracts his arms once the groceries are on the kitchen's counter, you notice one of them is partly machine. You freeze again, and the clone catches you staring at his mechanical limb. “Comes in handy sometimes,” he says jokingly, as he reaches out the scomp at the end of his socket-arm to show it to you.
You cannot help but laugh at his remark, lifting some of the tension. He smiles at you genuinely, pleased he was able to put you at ease. “Name's Echo, by the way,” he finally says. You give him your name in return. “Nice to meet you. I already thought I'd seen you before,” he says, as he looks at the window beside the front door.
You swallow as the blush on your cheeks reappears. You could slap yourself in the face; how did you think none of these trained men would notice you observing them, day in, day out?
“I, er- This isn't exactly the most safe neighbourhood around, you know, so I tend to keep an eye out,” you stammer, turning around to aimlessly rearrange your groceries. Echo chuckles, turning towards you again. “You don't have to defend your actions. It's your window, use it however you like,” he says, tilting his head slightly whilst observing you.
He thinks your shyness and awkwardness are endearing. In this vast, wild galaxy, sliding from the war into the Empire's cruelties, he rarely encounters innocence anymore. He notices you still hold yours, and he finds it soothing.
“Since you caught me.. ‘Using my window’,” you finally start saying, slowly as you consider your words carefully, “How can Ord Mantell City possibly be of any interest to you and your friends?” You regret asking immediately after your words are out, but Echo doesn't seem to mind.
“We just need to work some jobs to pay the bills, so to speak,” he replies casually, shrugging as if it isn't anything out of the ordinary for them. Of course you wonder what jobs and what bills he's talking about, but you would never dare to ask; your previous question was already quite bold for your standards.
So you don't inquire any further, but you gather all your courage to heed a warning. “Just.. Be careful around Cid. She's not the most.. Reliable individual around,” you say softly, afraid someone outside your home will hear it if you speak out louder.
Echo's lips curl into a smile, as he puts his hand on your arm for a brief moment. “Thanks for the heads-up, I'll keep it in mind,” he says, grateful for your concern. You finally find the heart to look up into his eyes, and you find yourself losing in them instantly. They are soft and kind, with a glister of confidence and certainty. But you cannot help noticing the pain, the hurt and the fatigue behind those eyes.
You don't know anything about this man except for his name, but the mixture of emotions in his eyes, the invisible scars you feel he is hiding, the unspoken reason why he's clearly on the run, it gives you the urge to comfort this man. A feeling deep down inside you, which you haven't felt before.
Of course you don't, because it would make you even more uncomfortable than before. You abruptly break your eye contact and turn around again, scolding yourself for your very own behaviour, but you can't help it; this is who you are.
Since you turned around, you cannot notice, but Echo's smile widens. You actually told him quite a lot by the words you didn't speak, by the way you did behave and how you just looked into his eyes.
Although he wouldn't mind staying for a bit longer, because he appreciates some quiet time away from the Batch and he finds it pleasantly soothing being around you, he realises you need some space, and he doesn't want to intrude on you any further. “Sorry for bothering you in your home, I'll be on my way,” he finally says, nodding at you in a respectful way once you've turned towards him again.
He walks over to the front door and pushes the entry button, and the door whooshes open. You rush after him, afraid he'll just disappear out of your life like that, but as always, you are lost for words. He walks across the alley, and just before he makes it to the stairs to descend into Cid's, you find your words.
“You- You aren't a bother,” you say shyly, as you hope he doesn't notice the blush on your cheeks from across the alley. He turns around, with a warming smile on his face, which makes you melt. You had no idea who these men, these clones were, but you definitely didn't think them to be the gentle kind.
“See you around then,” he says to you at last, making a very small salute with his scomp, before turning around again and disappearing down the stairs. You get back inside your home, and when the door closes behind you, you lean your back against it and let out a heavy sigh.
Who would have guessed any of Cid's visitors would awake such feelings inside you?
PART II | AFTERNOON
19 BBY, Ord Mantell | Ord Mantell City
It's been a while since you've seen Cid's latest associates, so you start to assume they moved on to find a new job, somewhere across the galaxy. An aching feeling inside you yearns for something you seem to have missed out on, something that could have been.
You sigh out loud as you lean back on your sofa. Your days were already long and lonely, but now it seems like they are even more meaningless. You wish you had the courage to get out into the galaxy, to be someone.
You suddenly hear sounds coming from the alleyway out front, and something tells you it's not your upstairs neighbours. With optimism you feel is misplaced, you dart over to the small window beside your door. You've been cleaning it on a daily basis since that one day, making sure you can get any glimpse possible whenever you peer outside.
Your heart skips a beat when you realise what - or who - made the sounds outside; it's Cid's associates. And Echo is still one of them. You pull away from your window to catch your breath, as a warm feeling starts emerging inside you again. He is safe, and he is in town again. You couldn't hope for anything more at this moment.
If only you had the courage to go outside. If he had been on his own, you might have dared to step outside, to walk up to him, but not with his friends around. So you stay put, awaiting a better moment patiently. You've become quite good at that.
---
It is only the next day when you catch him on his own. As you walk casually past your window (you weren't lurking around to catch any glimpse of him at all), you spot him as he comes walking out of Cid's and into the alleyway.
When he reaches the top of the stairs, he halts and starts rubbing his closed eyelids, his head slightly hanging. It looks like he is having a hard time, and your urge to comfort him reappears. You swallow as you gather all your courage.
This is your moment. If you loiter now, you might never get another chance again - let alone the courage. As you put aside all your thoughts and try listening to your heart for once, you push the entry button and your front door whooshes open.
Echo looks up at you, and a smile appears on his tired face as he is pleasantly surprised to see you. He utters your name softly, and a blush appears on your face; he had remembered your name.
“Would you- Would you like to come in for a caf?” you stammer, shifting on your feet as you await his answer. You don't have to wait long. “I would love a caf,” he replies, before crossing the alley, walking up your porch and entering your home. You can't help noticing he was taking big steps, almost running to your door, as if he couldn't wait to reach you.
Inside, you move aside a chair at your small table, inviting him to sit down. He does so gladly, and you walk towards the kitchen's counter to make a fresh pot of caf. Your mind races as you wait for it to finish, but Echo waits for you patiently, not in a hurry at all.
When the pot is finally ready, you pour two mugs and join him at the table. “I, er- I was afraid you weren't coming back to Ord Mantell,” you admit softly, whilst handing him one of the mugs. His fingertips touch yours for a very brief moment when he takes the mug from you; was that intentional? A warm feeling emerges in your head, and you're sure you're blushing - again.
“I appreciate your concern,” he starts, as he holds up the mug of fresh caf under his nose, inhaling deeply. He closes his eyes for a moment as he is appreciating the scent; he was clearly in need of it. He opens his eyes again, as they focus on you. “But you, er- You shouldn't worry about us,” he says with a wry smile on his face.
Seeing the expression on his face makes you do the exact opposite of his words; you start worrying. And now that you look at him, you notice he looks overworked and exhausted; he looks worn. You put down your mug, hitting the table harder than you anticipated, as you were putting all your emotions in that small movement. It startles you, and he chuckles in amusement.
“Really, there's nothing to worry about. We've been around and we know our way through the galaxy,” he reassures you, both his eyebrows raised as he slightly leans forward, towards you. Your heart skips another beat when you look at his gentle face.
Suddenly, his expression shifts to a confused one. “Why do you care so much?” he asks, shaking his head in his confusion, not sure why a stranger would worry about his well-being. But if he was being honest with himself, you didn't feel like a stranger anymore.
You swallow, your eyes darting back and forth again, searching for the right words. Your fingers fidget around the rim of your mug nervously. “You seem like a.. Like a good person. I don't see those around here often,” you finally falter, before looking him straight in the eyes.
The planet around you seems to die down when you lose yourself into his golden-brown eyes. They are the prettiest eyes you've ever seen, but then again, you've never stared into someone's eyes like this before. But you can't imagine eyes being prettier than his.
He puts his hand on yours, stopping the fidgeting, as your nerves make place for something else. Your heartbeat rises and your breathing becomes heavy. “Echo, I..” you stammer, but you don't finish your sentence. You have a hard time handling your feelings, not used to this kind of intimacy.
You jump out of your seat, accidentally knocking the chair over in the process. The noise of it hitting the floor startles you, and you do not notice Echo getting up as well. He gently touches your shoulder with his hand, and when you turn to him in surprise, he is standing right in front of you.
You've never been this close to him before. You see his eyes glisten comfortingly, his nostrils moving as he breathes, his Adam’s apple going up and down as he swallows.
Without thinking, you slowly shift your hand towards his cheek. Before you reach his skin though, he moves his head towards your hand, pushing his cheek against it, as he longs for your touch. Letting out a content sigh, he closes his eyes for a moment, and you see his eyebrows twitch in delight.
Now he finally feels your touch. You notice his chest heaving faster than before, and you realise that - maybe - he longs for you as much as you for him. You lick your lips and leave some space between them, making your heavy breathing more audible. It makes Echo open his eyes, as he yearns to touch those lips.
This time, he reaches his hand towards your face, and he gently caresses your cheekbone. His fingertips slide softly through your hair to the back of your head, and when he reaches it, he gently pulls you closer.
It feels like an eternity to reach each other, and your mind is racing. But all your thoughts are quieted down when your lips finally touch. You gasp as your breathing stops for a moment, your eyelids closing instantly as your eyes roll back.
Echo puts his mechanical arm around your waist, and with the utmost care, as not to hurt you with it, he pulls you closer. Your lips are pressed together, moving passionately against each other as you both finally give in to your longing.
You feel his breath on your skin and you let out a deep sigh, brushing his tender lips. He thinks yours are the softest, and he can't get enough of tasting them. As he indulges in you, you cannot help yourself by letting out a soft moan of pleasure.
He tightens his grasp around your waist when he hears your expression of content. He thought being apart from you was driving him insane these last few weeks, but now that he is finally close to you, he feels like he is losing it. Your innocence, your genuine and comforting soul, your beautiful appearance, your soft skin and your perfect lips..
Abruptly, he pulls away from you. He is afraid he will lose himself in you, going too far, ruining this perfect afternoon. He knows you'll need a little space after this, and he doesn't want to push you - although you might have complied if he'd asked for more.
Your eyes shoot open as you look at him confused; did you do something wrong? But his expression is all soft and loving, and you instantly melt by his sight. He leans forward to you again, but instead of kissing you, he gently puts his forehead against yours.
Not aware of the meaning - or even the existence - of a Keldabe kiss, you return the gesture anyway, as you think it's sweet. But to Echo, it means the galaxy.
After a long moment, the two of you pull away slowly. You wish it could have lasted forever, and Echo would have liked to hold you for a bit longer, but it had to end at one point. You look up at him, a loving smile on your face. He gently strokes your cheek with his thumb.
“Thank you, cyar'ika*,” he whispers, as he gently places a kiss on your forehead. You haven't heard that word before, and don't know what it means, but you're too caught up in the moment to spoil it by asking.
*cyar’ika = darling/sweetheart
At that moment, Echo's comm device starts beeping. He answers it without hesitation. “Echo, where are you? We need you to break a tie. Wrecker and I think Cid's next job sounds exciting, but Hunter and Tech.. Not so much.”
You see Echo's eyes soften as he responds to the girl. You'd like to hear more about his companions, but it seems like you have to wait until next time. You really hope there will be a next time.
Echo puts his comm device away before turning towards you, ready to apologise for his departure. But you beat him to it. “It's okay, go to them. Just- Just don't forget to come by whenever you're back in the City,” you tell him, as you put your flat hands on his chest armour. He puts his hand and scomp on top of your hands, as you swallow away the lump in your throat; you're well aware his coming back isn't a certainty at all.
He feels your worries, and although he knows he shouldn't be making any promises he can't keep, he wants to ease your mind. “I'll come find you,” he says determined, as he gently nods towards you. You smile back in return, gently placing a kiss on his cheek before you walk him to the front door.
Just before he reaches the door, you grab his hand. “Please, Echo.. Be careful out there,” you whisper, as he steps over your doorstep. He stretches his arm, keeping hold of your hand for as long as possible. “I'll do my best,” he replies, before letting go of your grasp.
You stand in your doorway, watching him cross the alley again, disappearing into Cid's. And after that, you keep standing in your doorway a little longer, hoping to catch another glimpse of him.
PART III | EVENING
c. 19/18 BBY, Ord Mantell | Ord Mantell City
As the sun slides away, looming shadows fill the alleyway. The neon signboards on the adjacent buildings cast their flashing lights about. The alley is empty, abandoned, apart from an occasional straying stranger.
You're lying on your sofa, your back aching from the uncomfortable hardness of it, but you don't have the will to move. Your thoughts wander as you gaze up towards the ceiling, thinking, hoping you will see him again.
As always, it's been a while. Echo has visited you a few times after that perfect afternoon, but his visits had been short; barely enough time to check on each other. You yearn to spend some more time together, maybe pick up where the two of you have left off.
But you know he is working a job with his squad, as you haven't seen them in a while. You put away your desires and hope he is doing alright. He told you not to worry, but you do worry a lot; you cannot help it.
---
You have almost dozed off when you hear excited voices coming from outside, immediately shaking you fully awake. Your body stiff, you manage to get up, and you stumble towards the window. Echo. A hopeful smile appears on your face as you finally see him and his squad again.
You still haven't mustered the courage to run outside to meet him as long as his friends are around, but you've grown a tad bolder; you push the entry button and your front door whooshes open.
As your heart races in your chest, a feverish feeling washing over you, you wait against the wall between the door and the window, out of sight. You're hoping he notices the open door and sees it as an invitation.
“Go, we'll manage Cid,” you hear a low voice from across the alley, a slight tone of amusement in the voice. Your heart skips a beat when you hear the sound of someone stepping closer and closer to your front door..
When Echo finally makes it to your doorstep, you spin in front of him and land in his arms, wrapping your arms around his neck. He is caught off guard for a moment, not used to you being this kind of initiative. But he doesn't mind; he wraps his arms around your waist to pull you closer, before kissing you tenderly.
When you finally pull apart, you look up to him, your eyes full of concern. “I-I was afraid something had happened,” you confess softly, almost in a whisper. He gently strokes your cheek before wiping a strand of your hair behind your ear. “I told you not to worry,” he replies, a bit stern, but his eyes soft.
You cannot help but scoff as you cross your arms, raising one eyebrow. “And you never worry about anyone?” you shoot at him teasingly. His expression softens. “All the time,” he says softly, before pulling you close again, continuing the kissing.
---
After your warm welcoming, you manage to get him some well deserved caf. As always, he doesn't give you any details about their latest job, because he knows your worries will multiply if you know what he's up to. And he doesn't want to drag you into the ugliness of the current state of the galaxy, as you're still as innocent as the first day he met you. And he loves you for it.
“So, er- how long will you stay this time?” you finally stammer, afraid he'll walk out again and he'll be off for another few weeks. Of course you meant to ask how long he and his squad would be staying on Ord Mantell in general, but he takes the leap.
“We're not gonna make new plans until the morning, so I'll have all night, if you'd like,” he replies, his soft smile sliding into a faint smirk as you see a sparkle in his eyes. You swallow; you really like his answer, but your nerves are playing up again, not sure what the evening will bring. And as always, you're lost for words.
Is it you, or is it getting hot in here? You're sure your head has turned red by now, and you need to cool down. You excuse yourself to him as you stand up, making sure to not knock over your chair this time, and walk towards your bedroom.
You open the door to the adjacent room, but something inside you decides to leave it open. You take off your thick shirt and slide into something more breathable.
When you turn around, Echo is leaning against the doorpost, his arms crossed and his foot bend around the other. You didn't turn on any lights when you entered your bedroom, so you cannot see the expression on his face. The only light comes from the room behind him, shedding a highlight around the contours of his body.
You freeze to the floor as you stare at each other in silence. Echo finally straightens himself, getting clear of the doorpost, and starts walking over to you slowly. Your heart skips a beat; you feel slightly vulnerable in your own bedroom, not sure how long he'd been standing there, watching you. But although you don't know how to go on from here, you definitely want it to continue.
When he reaches you, he starts caressing your cheek. You look up to his face, your eyes wide as they glisten, your lips apart in full anticipation. Before he reaches for them, you find your words. “I.. I’d like you to stay for the night,” you whisper shyly, yet honestly. There's nothing you want more at this moment.
“Then I'll stay,” he replies tenderly, a gentle smile on his face before he leans towards you, pressing his lips on yours. You close your eyes as you indulge into his kiss, forgetting everything around you.
After some passionate kissing, Echo slowly shifts his lips to your cheek, sliding down to your neck. You feel his warm breath on your skin, making something awaken inside you. His lips reach the spot between your neck and shoulder, starting with soft, tender kisses, but slowly evolving into something more confident, something more eager and desirous.
He is still very tender with you. Although he doesn't bite, you feel his teeth against your skin, the tip of his tongue dancing on you as he tastes you. A moan of pleasure escapes your throat, and you feel a shiver going through Echo's body.
He gently leads you backwards, towards your bed. You comply willingly, and when you reach it, you sit down whilst you guide him down as well, your hand grasped around the rim of his chest plate, below his neck. He kneels down before you, and you gaze into each other’s eyes for a moment before continuing.
“Are you.. Are you alright with this?” he asks softly, concern in his voice. But there is nothing he should be worrying about right now. You nod determined, a smile appearing on your face. “Yes, very much,” you finally muster, before you land another kiss on his lips. You feel his lips curl into a smile below yours.
You start fidgeting with his armour, but taking it off proves quite difficult, since you haven't interacted with anything like it before. He chuckles softly before aiding you in your conquest. When the pieces start coming off, and you start taking off his black jumpsuit, you pull away in shock and disbelief when you notice what you revealed.
“What did they do to you?” you blurt out, as your eyes wander his body, where you find mechanical ‘adjustment’ after adjustment. He swallows, slightly pulling away from you. He was so caught up in the moment, caught up in you, that he didn't think about this. Didn't think you would be taken aback by him.
“It's.. It's in the past,” he mumbles, averting his gaze from yours. A moment of silence, before he softly adds: “You can leave those on, if it disturbs you.” He reaches back for his blacks, but you stop him by grasping his hand. You cup your other hand below his chin, and gently guide his gaze back towards yours. “No, I'd like to have you like you are,” you say in a sweet way, and your words make him melt.
Taking your clothes off happens in a heartbeat, compared to Echo’s attire. Both your chests are heaving and your breathing is heavy with anticipation. As Echo slowly reaches up to you, you let yourself fall backwards onto the sheets, your arms stretched above your head. He slowly crawls on top of you, admiring your beauty, wondering how you’re able to still retain your innocence as you lay naked below him.
When you're finally face to face, you wrap one arm around his neck, careful not to hit his mechanical spine too hard. Your other hand starts caressing his metal sternum, as you take in every detail of his body. Your hand slides towards his face, where you touch the metal headpiece around the back of his head.
“Is this.. Is this detachable?” you ask softly, cautiously, as you don't want Echo thinking you like him any less with him wearing it. He smiles, and takes it off. It reveals his ears, and you can't help smiling in the most affectionate way; he has the cutest ears.
This time, it's Echo who's blushing. You let your fingertips wander the rim of his ear, and you find out he's a tad ticklish around there. He twitches his brows as he tries to regain himself. You chuckle, before you let your hand slide behind the back of his head and pull him close.
Your lips touch again, and you start kissing tenderly. The tips of your tongues touch, as they shyly meet halfway. Echo groans as you softly start biting his lower lip. You cannot help it, but the sound arouses you. You gasp and slowly part your legs, and finally wrap them around his pelvis.
He gladly accepts the invitation, looking at your face when he slowly enters you at last. Your eyes are closed, your head slightly tilted backwards. You bite your lower lip, your eyebrows wrinkled as it hurts, but he continues as gently as possible. Once he's fully inside, you let out a sigh as the tension from your face disappears.
The hurt turns into pleasure as he slowly moves his pelvis against yours. He is still looking at your face, making sure you're alright, that he's not hurting you anymore. When he finds a pleasing rhythm, you let out a moan, which would have startled yourself if you hadn't been this caught up in the moment. A shiver runs down Echo's body, which you feel inside.
You open your eyes with a gasp, and you look up at his face. His golden-brown eyes are admiring you, and his lips are curled into a smile. You feel the blush reappear on your cheeks, but you don't worry about it too much; Echo is used to it by now.
Without thinking too much about it, you sit upright as much as your intertwined bodies allow. A bit awkwardly, you try to swap positions. Echo helps you out once he realises what your intentions are. He is slightly surprised, since this is clearly your first time, but you want to take the lead now. But he isn't complaining.
Echo lays down on his back as you position yourself on top of him. You taste his lips again, before straightening your back. You guide him back inside you and start moving your pelvis up and down, starting slow but increasing the pace as you gain a bit of confidence in what you're doing. You close your eyes as you focus on the moment.
Echo looks up at you in both admiration and adoration. He positions his hand and scomp on either side of your moving hips. He is careful with the metal part of his right arm, because he doesn't want to distract you. Slowly, his hand and scomp slide upwards, reaching higher, until they reach your breasts.
He keeps his hand and scomp at the sides of your breasts, caressing your warm skin with his thumb. He doesn't feel the need to go further, as he doesn't want to objectify you, he doesn't want to take your innocence away. But he is touching sensitive skin and you let out another moan, your eyebrows wrinkling again, this time out of pleasure.
He's never seen your face this expressive before, and it feeds his excitement. He wants to get closer to you, and in a sudden, abrupt movement, he sits up straight, supporting his body with his socket-arm. You open your eyes in surprise and find his face just centimetres from yours. Your noses brush, your lips almost touching.
You continue your movements, and you notice the angle you find yourselves in is even more pleasing than before. Echo wraps his arm around your waist, pulling you close, your breasts against his chest. You put your hands on his back as you continue, your fingers sinking into his pale skin.
Your gazes keep locked as you quicken your pace, feeling your pleasure is reaching its climax. And Echo's too; he groans through clenched teeth, tightening his grip around your waist. You feel the muscles in his lower abdomen tighten. You moan from the tingling sensation you experience down below, and as you softly whisper his name in ecstasy, he releases all his tensions.
Still holding you, Echo falls backwards on your bed, taking you with him. When he lands on his back, you roll off him, to his right side. Your chests are heaving and you both are panting from your fusion, your intimacy. Your heads turn towards each other, and you both smile when your gazes meet again.
You start caressing his metal arm beside you. You would have liked to hold his hand, but it doesn't matter; this is Echo, and you love all of him.
PART IV | NIGHT
c. 19/18 BBY, Ord Mantell | Ord Mantell City
The evening has elapsed into the night, but your sense of time is gone. After your intimate get-together, Echo is still laying on his back on your bed, and you wish he could stay forever. You are curled around him, your leg arched around his pelvis, your head on his shoulder, your arm on his chest as you softly caress his skin and his cyborg parts you encounter on the way.
Eyes closed, he has his cheek pressed against the top of your head, his socket-arm wrapped around your upper body as he only focuses on your gentle touching and gentle breathing. He groans softly in content as you trace your fingertips over his skin.
“Why, er- why are you guys on the run?” you ask suddenly, in a soft and cautious way. The question has been on your mind for what seems like forever, and now that you've been this intimate with Echo, you finally have the courage to ask him.
He swallows as he slightly turns his head away from yours, his eyes opening and his gaze on the ceiling. “I really don't want to drag you into it,” he finally answers with a sigh. You heave yourself up slightly, your body still against his, but being able to look at his face.
“Echo, I'm worrying about you anyway. So I think it's only fair to me to know what I'm worrying about,” you shoot at him, and you're surprised by your own boldness. Echo looks at you, a smile appearing on his face as he thinks the same. “You're right, cyar’ika*.”
*cyar’ika = darling/sweetheart
“We're on the run from the Empire. We were soldiers of the Republic, but when the Imperials took control, well.. Let's just say we didn't part on good terms,” he finally tells you, a wry smile on his face. You're silent for a moment. As the war and the political takeover have had no impact on your personal life, you try to imagine how it must be for Echo, for his squad.
“What was the war like?” you ask in a whisper, so soft he almost missed it. Your head is still turned towards his face, but your gaze slides away. He looks back at you, and with his hand, he cups your chin, caressing your skin with his thumb.
“It was- it was both dreadful and.. And familiar, I guess,” he starts slowly, searching for the right explanation, being mindful to spare you from any details about the suffering and the losses. He wets his lips before continuing.
“We clones were created as soldiers for war, so there wasn't anything else for us. We were all brothers, fighting side by side, under the command of the Jedi. There was.. A lot of death and devastation, but we knew what our purpose was. We had each other.”
He pauses for a moment, his eyes blank as his gaze is unfocused. You want to comfort him, as it's clear to you he hasn't processed all the events during and after the war very well. But you lay still, as you feel there's more for him to tell. You don't want to interrupt him, distract him from finally speaking out his feelings, pouring his heart out.
His gaze returns to yours, as his hand shifts away from under your chin, and he wipes a lock of your hair behind your ear. He smiles for a very brief moment before continuing. “When the war ended, we lost our purpose, I guess. The war was awful, but at least we knew who we were, what we had to do. But when it ended and the Empire emerged, none of us really knew what was happening.”
You notice he's lost in thoughts again. He is thinking about Crosshair, now doing the bidding of the Empire. How they had to leave him, their brother, behind back on Kamino. How the squad had saved himself prior to those events, from the torture of his mind back at Skako Minor. How the Skakoans had experimented on him after the explosion at the Citadel. How he hadn't been around when Fives had needed him the most, how he had held 99 in his arms after his death. How he hadn't been able to save Hevy, Cutup and Droidbait, which seems an eternity ago now.
When you see tears forming in his eyes, you finally decide it's the right time to comfort him. You lean towards him, put your right hand on his jaw, and place the most tender, loving kiss on his forehead. You feel his grip around you tighten as he pulls you close. You wrap your arms around his neck and start cradling him, as silent tears run down his cheeks.
---
The night progresses with a lot more talking and comforting. Tonight, you have learned more about Echo and his squad than all the previous times you two met up combined. As Echo continues his experiences and confessions, you notice he's opening up to you, finally sharing details.
Although his stories are devastating and you had never imagined all this could happen to one person in only a couple of years, you love listening to his voice, as your naked bodies lay pressed against each other in a loving embrace. Your head is positioned on his chest, as it slowly rises and falls with every breath he takes.
You wish he could stay forever, just the two of you in your humble abode, but you know he can't leave his squad behind. The Empire will keep looking for them, for Omega. And you know what that means; they can't stay on Ord Mantell forever. You knew this beforehand, before you got yourselves close with one another, but the thought is still devastating to you.
But after all of Echo's stories and explanations, you understand. You finally have a better view of the galaxy beyond Ord Mantell, the advantages and the flaws of the Clone Wars, and how the Empire currently reigns with terror and oppression. Something is rotting in this galaxy, but there are still people out there trying to fight it, to fight for the good, for the well-being of the galaxy's citizens.
---
When the morning breaks, you know by the gut-wrenching feeling inside you it's time for Echo to go. He has to meet up with his squad to discuss their next step, to prepare their next mission, and you know he can't let them down. He won't let them down.
You slide into something comfortable and watch him get back into his blacks and armour. The easiness of his movements tells you he's done it a hundred times. A smile appears on your face, but there is sadness in it as well; you hate to see him leave.
At your front door, you both take the time to prolong the moment, to delay his inevitable departure. Your lips melt together in a passionate kiss one last time. You hug each other tightly, before moving apart reluctantly. You look each other in the eyes, taking everything in one last time, to never forget the moments you shared together.
“Thank you, cyar’ika*,” Echo whispers, before he presses his forehead to yours. You swallow, and after you both pull away, you finally ask: “What does that mean?” An affectionate smile appears on his face, his eyes somewhat sad but incredibly thankful for what you've given him. “That you mean the galaxy to me.”
*cyar’ika = darling/sweetheart
Epilogue
You don't know if you will see him again after this, but he has given you something. He ignited a spark inside you, as you now are fully aware there is more in this galaxy, more than just Ord Mantell City. He has given you the courage to free yourself from this place, even if that means diving into the unknown. But you are ready now.

Sitting across from Echo in the cabin of the Marauder, you twirl a strand of your hair mindlessly around your finger, trying to figure out a way to convince the latest member of Clone Force 99 to go out with you. You were determined to get Echo to cut loose a little tonight. He seemed so uptight and stressed out after the last several missions with his new squad and while he may already be used to the chaos of being apart of a close knit group, Clone Force 99 was something entirely different.
He had been diligent in filling out mission reports since Hunter never had the desire to complete one in his entire life. If Echo wasn’t submitting reports, he was helping Tech with the numerous projects the bespectacled clone had going on simultaneously throughout the Marauder. He’d exchange a few words about their different weapons of choice with Crosshair and would occasionally modify his own blaster to make it more effective and efficient. Stories of different missions and jokes were shared between Wrecker and himself and for the most part, Echo was quite content with his new squad. He felt as though he had found his place in the galaxy again and he was doing what he knew how to do best: being a soldier, and a damn good one at that.
And then there was you. It was well known among the rest of the squad that Echo hated anything to do with medical treatment, given his excruciating ordeal on Skako Minor. Obviously you didn’t blame him for keeping his distance from you for a while upon your initial introductions, but you were determined to gain Echo’s trust.
Well, you ended up gaining a whole lot more than just trust from the cybernetially enhanced clone. Echo, despite his initial wariness of you, found that he had grown the most fond of your company. You were confident, kind, and sweet on all of his brothers. But what Echo wouldn’t admit to himself was that you were especially sweet on him. You went out of your way to spend a little extra time here and there where you could with him between or after missions. Most recently, you had been bringing him caf in the mornings since you were usually awake before the others, save for Tech who more often than not was awake around the same early hour as you.
Echo had noticed, and the others had, too, but he tried his best not to read too much into your kindness towards him. Most of his self confidence when it came to girls in general was one of the many things that had been stripped from him on Skako Minor. He knew Fives would tell him that, if anything, chicks dig a guy with battle scars, and Echo had more than plenty of them.
Regardless, Echo tried his hardest not to get his hopes up for something more from you than you might be willing or wanting to give. He would never blame you if you didn’t feel the same way, but it was getting harder and harder to ignore the feelings he was beginning to catch for you.
“C’mon, Echo.” Your voice took on an exaggerated pleading tone. You playfully nudge his prosthetic leg with your foot, “You really should take some time to relax. You’ve been working nonstop for the past several rotations, you’re going to burn yourself out.”
“I’m a clone, we don’t really burn out, or we’re not designed to, anyway.” Echo says without looking up from the ship’s computer console.
“Hm, I beg to differ on that one.” You stand from your chair and take the few steps that would bring you to lean against the console Echo was engrossed in. “Clone or not, you’re still human. And humans need rest and relaxation.”
Echo paused and considered you for a moment. “I have to finish this mission report. Force knows Hunter isn’t going to do it.”
One thing Echo had never been great at, at least without a little coaxing, was relaxing. In their early days with the 501st, Fives would tease him about it relentlessly whenever the Domino squad had a few days to rest and recoup between missions. Downtime and quiet for Echo meant catching up on the latest reg manuals, but for Fives and the others, it was time to party and let loose a little.
“Echo.” You call out his name, this time with more softness. “Why don’t you come to 79s with me? It’ll be fun.”
This, the way you said his name, pulls him from the fleeting memory of his days with the 501st. His heart was thumping faster inside his chest and he tried to maintain his composure so as not to give away his nerves. He rotated his chair to look up at you leaning against the console. Even dressed in your medic gear Echo couldn’t help but admire how pretty you were. He had to remind himself not to stare so he averted us gaze back to the report on his screen.
After a moment Echo sighed, flicking his eyes back to yours, “Doctor’s orders?” He raised a brow and let a playful smile cross his lips.
“Yep, now go put on some civies.” You wink at him before pushing yourself off the console to head to the refresher to clean yourself up a bit and change.
You could hardly suppress the grin that spread across your face as you turned to walked away, feeling triumphant that you just might be able to draw Echo a bit more out of his shell and show him just how much you enjoy his company without the eyes of the rest of his brothers on you both.
Tumblr media
You were more than happy to change out of your gear and put on something cute for the first time in a while. You slipped on a top with flowy sleeves and plunging neckline, thanking the Maker you’d decided to buy it the last time the squad had been on Coruscant. Once you pulled on a pair of pants and slipped on your casual boots, you pulled your hair out of its usual neat bun at the nape of your neck, brushing it through and letting it fall down around your shoulders. After a few more coats of lipgloss and another swipe through your lashes with the mascara wand, you were ready to go. You took one last look in the small refresher mirror and smiled at your reflection, feeling confident and a little jittery for what the night possibly had in store for you and Echo.
Truth be told, you had fallen for Echo quite a while ago. There was something magnetic about his dedication to his brothers and to being a good soldier. His determination and confidence in the field was mesmerizing; you just couldn’t help but fall for him. There was no denying the part of you that hoped he felt the same way.
Exiting the refresher, you found Echo leaning against the hatchway of the Marauder, dressed in his civies, with a barely noticeable etch of nerves settled in his expression. Crosshair was standing next to him, arms folded over his chest and toothpick slotted between his teeth.
“Don’t be so dense, she’s never invited any of us out on our own with her. It’s a date.” Crosshair smirked while sliding his toothpick to the other side of his upturned lips.
“Eh, I’m not going to get my hopes up. She said it was to get me to relax so, I doubt it.” Echo said sheepishly while rubbing the back of his neck.
“Even if that’s the case, try not to kark it up.” Crosshair snickered, having caught sight of you before Echo did and turned on his heel, heading back towards the bunks.
You caught Crosshair’s jab and Echo’s reply as you turned the corner to the hatchway.
“Get your hopes up about what? And what on earth could you possibly kark up?” You ask sweetly while adjusting your top. Despite having seen Echo in his civies before, you couldn’t help but think how good he looked out of his armor. While his frame was lean, his muscles, where they still existed, were defined and his shoulders were broad.
“N-nothing, Crosshair is just being, well, Crosshair. Are you ready to go?” Echo’s eyes snapped up to yours as you came into view, hoping you hadn’t heard any other part of the short conversation he had been having with Crosshair.
“Yep!” You flashed him a bright smile while flipping your hair over your shoulder.
You looked him up and down and smiled, “You look good, Echo. Do you think my outfit is alright?” A flirty smile pulled at your lips as you observed his eyes beginning to wander over your body.
His cheeks flushed when he realized you had definitely caught him checking you out before you had even asked about your outfit. Echo shifted his weight from one leg to the other and cleared his throat before bringing his gaze back up to yours.
Come on, Echo. You used to be good at this. Relax, like she’s been telling you to!
“You look great. Amazing, actually.” Echo smiled. He meant it, you did look amazing, and the small glow of hope in his chest that this might actually be a date was growing brighter every second he was in your presence.
Echo’s compliment caught you a little off guard, making you blush. You were not expecting him to answer your question so smoothly or sincerely. He smiled at the mildly surprised expression on your face, then offered his scomp arm to you so you could descend the ramp of the ship together.
“Shall we?” Echo smiled at you, waiting for you to take his arm.
Tumblr media
79s was crowded, as per usual, with clones from several different battalions and posts filling up booths and seats at the bar. You expertly maneuvered your way through the bustling scene with Echo in tow right behind you, his flesh hand in yours.
A couple of the boys from the 212th were sitting around a table close to the back of the bar, all of them enjoying drinks when you and Echo walked past them. Upon recognizing you, a few of them hollered your name and motioned for you to join them.
“Hey, boys!” You waved, flashing them all a bright smile.
“Come join us, sweetheart! Drinks on us!” One of them shouted while tipsily patting his lap.
Echo followed your line of sight to the table where his brothers were all sat with several empty glasses cluttering their table.
The slight twinge of jealousy stung a little more than Echo tried to let on. “You know them pretty well..” He had to raise his voice to be heard over the thumping music.
“Yeah, I was their medic before I was briefly assigned to the 501st to work with Kix, then after that I was reassigned to your squad.” You called back to him.
You turned back to face him, realizing he had slowed down a little from the tugging you were having to do on his hand to move through the crowd. You took note of the uneasy expression settling on Echo’s sharp features, then turned back to the boys who had called for your attention.
“No can do, guys, I’m on a date!” You holler back to them, drunken disappointment apparent on all of their faces. Ever so slightly, you tightened your grip on Echo’s hand.
“Come on, let’s get some drinks.” You smile sweetly at his surprised expression. Echo’s footsteps came to a sudden halt in the middle of the bar, wide amber eyes staring back at you for a moment.
You grew uncharacteristically shy for a moment under Echo’s gaze, a blush beginning to blossom on your face. You decided to be a bit bolder and took the few steps into his personal space which made you have to tip your chin up to look at him. Regaining your usual confidence and flirty demeanor, you playfully rolled your eyes at him and tugged again at his hand.
“Well, are you just going to stand there or are you gonna get me a drink?” You whispered in the space between you before stepping away and flashing Echo a flirty smile.
Tumblr media
After a few drinks and more flirtatious words and touches were exchanged between you and Echo, you noticed a few more clones with their respective dates beginning to crowd up the dance floor. Leaning over just enough to brush against Echo’s shoulder, you fluttered your lashes at him as you slowly looped your arm through his.
“Come dance with me?” You posed the question with a playfully pleading pout.
“Eh, dancing isn’t really my thing..” Echo rubbed the back of his neck shyly. He wasn’t lying, dancing really wasn’t his thing, at least not since Skako Minor, and definitely not since he found out what had happened to Fives. Echo hadn’t even been back to 79s until now, despite the Batch occasionally hitting up the place whenever they were docked on Coruscant.
Tuggging him over to the dance floor, you turned back and shot Echo a playful grin, “That’s not what the boys in the 501st told me.”
“And what exactly did they tell you?” Echo smirked while raising a brow at the endless list of possible things his brothers could have told you about his time in the 501st.
Pulling Echo a little further onto the dance floor, you began moving to the beat of the music thumping over the speakers, swaying your hips in small circles.
“They told me you were difficult to drag away from your reg manuals, and that getting you to have fun always took a little coaxing, but that once you were worn down enough, you were the life of the party, along with Fives.” You leaned into Echo’s space a little more so he could hear you over the music.
Echo raised an eyebrow, a smirk pulling at his lips, “Ah, well, they weren’t wrong. Fives was usually the one to drag me here and get us both absolutely wasted and singing at the top of our lungs.”
“Now that’s something I’d give a ton of credits to see.” You giggled while wrapping your arms around Echo’s neck. You began swaying to the beat of the music, letting yourself feel the rhythm as your hips brushed up against his.
Echo couldn’t help but smile down at you and he had to admit, feeling you move against him under the lights and music of 79s was driving him crazier than he’d like to admit.
Deciding right then in there, Echo let himself cut loose for the first time since his 501st days. The way you were looking up at him through your lashes and how your body moved with his made it that much easier for him to let go of his troubles for a while. You were a comforting presence in the midst of his troubled whirlwind of thoughts and feelings.
You smiled at the sight of Echo before you, looking like he was finally enjoying himself. Seizing the opportunity, you spun around pressed your back and butt against Echo’s front, moving in perfect rhythm with him.
“Whoa, you’re quite the dancer.” Echo chuckled in surprise over the sound of the thudding music.
“I’ve always loved to dance!” You smile back at him while pushing even closer into him. You brought your arms up and behind you to graze the back of Echo’s head with your fingertips, while gently pressing further into him while you both moved in time with the beat.
Echo hesitated for a moment before bringing his flesh hand and scomp to rest on either side of your waist. He felt as though his heart was going to thump right out of his chest, but he kept a steady hold on you as you both continued dancing.
Spinning back around to face him, you giggled contently, “See? Isn’t it nice letting loose a little?”
Echo smiled while tugging you a little bit closer, “Yeah, it is. Reminds me of the old days with Fives and the rest of my brothers.”
“I’m glad I was able to help, then.” You smile sweetly up at him. “And from all I’ve heard about Fives he sounds like he was quite the life of the party.”
Echo chuckled softly in response.
“You would have liked him. You’d probably be here with him instead of me, knowing Fives, he would have swept you off your feet before the rest of us even had a chance to.” Echo remarked, a hint of sadness at missing his brother lacing his tone.
“Hm, something tells me I’d still be here with you.” You admitted, a blush blossoming across your face. You brought your hands to rest on his chest as you both began swaying slowly near the edge of the dance floor.
Echo’s bright eyes widened in genuine surprise. “I, uh, didn’t think anyone would take a romantic interest in me after becoming, well, this.” He lifted his scomp, waving it between the two of you before returning it to rest on your waist.
“Why not? Battle scars are hot, you know.” You teased him with a flirty smile.
“Well, I’ve definitely got plenty of those.” Echo let out a slight laugh.
A beat of content silence passed over the two of you as you swayed back and forth slowly in Echo’s grasp. Your eyes wandered from his face down to his chest where your hands were still resting against him. It made you a bit sad that Echo didn’t feel as desirable as he once did before Skako Minor, and while that was understandable, it made you almost desperate to show him how attractive he still was.
Bringing your eyes back up to his, you noticed that Echo was gazing intently at your lips. Seizing the moment, you slowly lifted yourself up to your tiptoes to meet his height, giving him time to pull away if he felt uncomfortable. But Echo didn’t retreat, instead he leaned down to meet your lips. The kiss was sweet and fleeting, only lasting a moment before Echo pulled away, a shy smile tugging at his mouth.
You hummed happily as Echo’s forehead came to rest against yours. Your fingers were tracing small circles in the fabric of his shirt, while his hand had pressed more firmly into the small of your back. It felt as though the atmosphere of 79s had completely faded away until a couple of clones seated in a booth behind you started cheering and making whooping sounds directed at the two of you . You spun around in Echo’s grasp and shot them look, feigning annoyance.
Echo let out an embarrassed laugh then spun you back around to face him, his face was tinged the slightest shade of pink. “Maybe we should get outta here? Go somewhere less crowded?” He suggested coyly.
“I know just the place.” You replied then places a quick peck on his lips before taking his hand in yours and leading him out of 79s into the warm Coruscant air. You walked at a brisk pace, eager to continue what you and Echo had started in the bar.
“Where are we going?” Echo prompted, matching your quick pace, his fingers still laced with yours.
“My apartment.” You offered suggestively, fluttering your lashes ever so slightly as you looked up at him.
Echo’s steps faltered as he slowed to a stop, tugging on your hand to get you to slow down, too. Before turning around to face him, you heard him call your name.
“What is it?” You asked as you turned around, your steps slowing to a halt.
“It’s just that I haven’t..uh” Echo paused while rubbing the back of his neck shyly with his scomp, “Been with anyone since Skako Minor.” He admitted, avoiding your gaze.
His admission made something in your heart break a little. Guilt welled up in your chest at the potential insensitivity you may have shown him by only kissing him once then taking his suggestion that you drag him to your apartment.
“Oh, Echo…” You uttered quietly. All of a sudden you felt very small and completely unlike yourself. The confidence and allure you had just moments ago was all but zapped from you. Your eyes dropped to the ground as you mindlessly shifted your weight from one foot to the other.
Echo noticed the sudden change in your demeanor from alluring excitement to worry and concern.
“I’m so sorry—”
“Don’t worry—”
You both started to speak at the same time. Your eyes shot back up to his then down to your hand still intertwined with his.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t realize I was moving so quickly. I just got caught up in the moment and—“ You stopped yourself short while bringing your gaze back up to his. Echo’s expression had softened from the previous look of hesitation he had only moments ago.
“We don’t have to do anything if you don’t want to.” You insist earnestly.
“Oh, I definitely do, ah, want to, it’s just that I’m a bit…out of practice.” Echo’s face flushed a bit as he spoke, tightening his grip on your hand.
“You do? Are you sure? It’s perfectly okay if you want to call it a night and just head back to the Maraud—”
Before you could finish your sentence, Echo’s lips were on yours, pressed much more firmly than they had been in 79s. Letting go of your hand, he wrapped his arm around your waist so that his hand was pressed to the small of your back while his scomp rested gently against your cheek.
Your eyes widened at the sudden feeling of Echo’s lips on yours but you quickly melted into his touch, your eyelids falling shut as you deepening the kiss. You brought your arms up to wrap around his neck, pulling him in closer so that your chest was pressed against his. Echo thought he should pull away so that you both could continue the walk to your apartment but the way you were kissing him back erased all thoughts from his mind and replaced them with a mounting desire that was starting to bubble up and spill over within him. Instead, Echo let his eyes open as he continued to kiss you and quickly located a small alleyway between the shops you both had stopped in front of.
With one smooth motion, Echo slid his arms down your body slowly, stopping just under your ass and pulled your legs up to wrap around his hips. You let out a small gasp into his mouth as he moved you into the small gap and pressed you up against the wall. His kisses were growing hungrier by the second and yours followed suit. Your tongues danced in a hungry quest to taste as much of each other as possible and without realizing it, you started rolling your hips against Echo’s to gain some much needed friction.
Echo placed open mouthed kisses down your neck and chest, the soft moans you had been letting out were growing louder the further down your body he kissed. You silently thanked the Maker that you chose this particular top to wear, as it allowed Echo unfettered access to the sensitive skin of your chest.
“How much further is it to your apartment, mesh’la?” Echo muttered against your skin, his lips never leaving the spot he had decided to bite gently.
“Ah! Echo..it’s um—it’s—I can hardly think while you’re doing that!” You let out a playful whine.
Echo chuckled darkly against the very top of your breast, then slowly began kissing back up your neck.
“Well, unless you want to do this here..” He trailed off before capturing your mouth in another deep kiss.
You pulled away from him just enough to speak into the tiny space between you, “It’s just another block down.” You manage out breathily before pulling Echo back into another heated kiss.
“That’s my girl.” Echo whispered against your lips. “Let’s go.”
His simple praise at your answering him whilst he distracted you with his kisses only heightened the desire that was growing with every kiss, nip and touch he pressed to your body. Your breath hitched for just a moment before Echo gently set you back down on your feet. An audible whine escaped your lips at the loss of feeling him slotted between your legs. Echo stretched out his scomp, motioning you to exit the alleyway first, and with his other hand placed firmly on the small of your back.
Both you and Echo could hardly contain yourselves on the short walk to your apartment building, often times stopping to steal heated kisses along the way. You couldn’t help but imagine what he’d look like tangled up in your bedsheets or how he’d feel underneath your straddled legs. By the time you made it to your door Echo was already messing with the tie that kept your shirt in place, tugging at it with his one hand while the sleeves began sliding off your shoulders.
“You’re so hot when you’re confident.” You said in between trailing kisses along his sharp jaw.
Echo paused his messing with your top for a moment.
“Well, I was a lot better at this sort of thing before..maybe it’s just force of habit?” He queried more to himself than to you.
“Force of habit, huh? I shouldn’t be surprised that you had tons of girls knocking on your barracks door then if this is how you are anytime a girl takes an interest in you.” You teased him with a smirk on your face.
Echo snapped out of his thoughts, chuckling at your words. He gazed down at you still entangled in his grasp, with your shirt ties wrapped fully around his hand.
“Uh, no, I haven’t been with a ton of other girls…” He trailed off shyly while dropping his eyes to the floor, the tips of his ears growing pink.
You stared up at him through half lidded eyes while gently reaching up and turning his face back to yours.
“We can take this slow if that’s what you need, Echo. I don’t mind at all, really. It’s actually better that we take this slowly. I have a tendency to rush a little, anyway.” You insisted with a more serious but still gentle tone to your voice. With your palm pressed gently into his cheek, you began tracing delicate circles with your thumb just over his cheek bone.
Echo’s amber eyes searched yours for a moment while he tried to regain his wavering confidence. So many thoughts and feelings were running through his mind when he finally let out quiet sigh.
“Maybe slow would be better.” He considered out loud.
“Okay.” You smile sweetly up at him.
“Would you still like to come inside?” You asked after another beat of silence while reaching for the door panel.
Echo’s eyes flickered back and forth between yours, then something darker overtook them as they wandered back down to your lips, then even further down to your loose top. His previous confidence began to surface again and he had a feeling it was not going to be fading again soon.
“Yeah, I’d like that.” He nodded.
You leaned to the side to press the button on the door panel, waiting a moment for the lock to disengage before it slid open with a quiet whoosh. Turning to step inside, you looked down between you and Echo to find that his flesh hand was still holding onto the ties of your top.
“I’ll need those back.” You giggled softly, placing a hand over his so as to take the ties from him.
But Echo didn’t release them. Instead he slowly walked you backwards into your apartment, hitting the door panel as he crossed the threshold.
“You know, I really like this top you’ve got on. But I think it’d look a lot nicer on the floor.” Echo said, feigning his best impression of his brother that he could muster.
Your eyes grew wide at his incredibly cheesy pick-up line and you couldn’t help the laugh that bubbled up past your lips.
“What was that, Echo?” You managed out between giggles. You placed a hand over your mouth as you watched Echo’s expression change from a somewhat forced smolder to a grin.
“Something Fives used to say to try and pick up girls.” He said between laughs of his own.
“Oh, and I supposed that worked out well for him?” You dabbed at the tears that had formed at the corners of your eyes from your fit of laughter.
“But I meant it. It would look nicer on the floor.” He said while gently tugging at the ties of your top again.
In an instant, the energy in the room changed. Your heart beat had quickened at the lustful look that took up residence in Echo’s sharp features. Wordlessly and almost without a second thought, you let the top slide off of your shoulders onto the floor. Echo’s eyes widened at the sight of you topless before him as he let go of the ties of your discarded shirt.
Echo placed his hand along the side of your neck, guiding you just a hairsbreadth away from his lips.
“Maybe we could move just a little faster than slow.” He whispered into the tiny space between you.
“That sounds good to me.” You whispered back before pressing your lips to his.

Whatever You’ll Let Me
Week 5 ~ hanging Christmas lights ~ snowball fight ~
Word Count: 937 Content: suggestive at the end so 18+, cold, ambush
@clone-wars-winter-challenge
Tumblr media
Omega looked so cold. You could tell she was trying to seem like the frigid temperature wasn’t affecting her—like her brothers were—but her clothes and tiny scraps of armor just didn’t have the same multi-weather protections that the boys did with their old GAR issue under suits and armor. Not that your own was much better.
It had been suggested that the two of you stay on the ship, but you were on a little side mission and no one had expected Omega to stay on the ship alone.
Tech was tasked with keeping Wrecker out of trouble while he fulfilled their meager grocery list and while Hunter and Echo haggled with various dealers and shop owners over parts and other necessities, you had started to sneak around the open-air market to look at other shops.
“Do you want my scarf?” you tried to ask casually, doing your best to hide the sympathy in your tone as Omega failed at suppressing a violent bout of shivers.
She looked up at you. You could practically see the gears turning in her head and hear her teeth chattering. After a moment, almost sheepishly, she nodded. You smiled, unwinding the length of cloth from your neck and crouching down to help wrap it around her.
“Thanks,” she grinned, giggling as you tapped her nose.
“Omega,” you hummed. “Would you like to help me with a… secret mission?”
The girl perked up instantly. “A secret mission?” she said, her lips pulling into a wide smile.
“Yep,” you answered, popping the P. “We’re going to have to sneak away from the others right now without them questioning it. Got any ideas?”
Omega thought for a moment, her hand coming up to her chin. You smiled at how much she reminded you of Tech. “What if we just tell them it’s a secret?”
You chuckled. “Alright, but you have to tell Hunter.”
A wicked grin that reminded you more of Wrecker spread across her face as she grabbed your hand, pulling you toward the former sergeant.
“Hunter!” she shouted, distracting him from the items the shop owner was displaying. “We’re going on a secret mission!”
Hunter’s brow raised in suspicion, though his lips pulled into a smirk.
“Got your comm?” he asked.
Omega held it up in response. “Yep!”
“Then I guess you’re ready to go,” he smiled. He then looked up at you. “Everything… okay?”
Stars, it felt like he wasn’t just looking at you but staring deep into your soul. You could feel your face flushing. “Oh, it’s just—”
“She can’t tell you! It’s a secret!” Omega interjected with an edge of an irritated tone. She grabbed your hand before you could say anything else, pulling you away from Hunter as he chuckled.
When you glanced back, you saw Echo lean in close to whisper something into Hunter’s ear, Hunter’s brief shock, recovered into a sharp elbow to Echo’s side.
“So, what do we need to do?”
You were panting hard as you and Omega trekked back to the ship. The snow was getting deeper and you were starting to realize how out of shape you’d gotten since the squad had escaped the Empire.
“C’mon,” Omega encouraged from the front. “I don’t think they’re back yet!”
Your hands felt freezing as you adjusted the strap of the bag of string lights you’d gotten over your shoulder. You hoped the two of you could set it up before the boys got back.
Omega stopped suddenly, clearly picking up on something you couldn’t.
You looked at her uncertainly, your breath coming out in foggy huffs. ”Ome—” you started to call, but were cut off by the thunk of a ball of ice hitting your chest.
You shared a fleeting, wild look with Omega.
“We’re under fire!” she squealed, dodging one of the lobbed snowballs.
“Get to the ship!” You cried as you began to run after her.
But just as she called to warn you of your impending capture, arms circled your waist, hoisting you into the air while small snowballs rained down over Omega.
You burst into laughter, struggling in vain against the strong embrace keeping you from your co-conspirator.
You didn’t need to see who was behind you; you already knew it was Hunter, but the soft chuckles emanating from behind you and that woodsy scent—from the cologne he pretended not to own—had given it away in an instant.
“Let me go!” You laughed, playfully pulling at his arms.
“Not happening,” that rich, smoky voice hummed behind you.
Somewhere further ahead, Wrecker had cptured Omega both laughing and cheering as they teamed up against Echo, while Tech feigned disinterest—despite the lit-up recorder on the side of his goggles—but you could barely notice any of it over the way your heart threatened to beat out of your chest. You knew he could hear it, and you knew he could tell it wasn’t just from the ambush.
“Don’t forget to breathe, cyar’ika,” he hummed. When had his lips gotten so close to your ear? You fought to suppress a shudder. You prayed he dismissed its cause as the cold, but some part of you quietly hoped he wouldn’t.
The world around you seemed to slow as you managed to turn to face him, still held tightly in his embrace.
“So,” you said. It was barely a nervous whisper. He could hear it loud and clear. “Now that I’ve been captured, what are you going to do with me?”
Hunter’s grin grew into a crooked smirk. “Hmm,” he nearly growled, bringing his lips to just barely brush against your ear. “Whatever you’ll let me, gorgeous.”

To Keep Memories Alive
Tumblr media
Pairing: Echo x f!reader
Fandom: The Bad Batch; Star Wars
Summary: The Republic might be gone, but that doesn’t mean the war is over, especially not for the clones. You and Echo manage to find solace in each other. And memories would always remain. But sometimes you just need someone to listen to you.
Based off the song “Ghosts That We Knew” by Mumford & Sons
Lyrics: “And the ghosts that we knew will flicker from view // And we’ll have a long life”
Warnings: angsty, talk of death and loss, hopefully a touching ending!
Author’s note: Happy @cloneficgiftexchange day!! As usual, @ghostofskywalker hosts an amazing event and I’m so grateful to participate! This was such a fun prompt to work with! I saw the characters and the song and knew exactly who I had to write for! Thanks to @akaanade for such a fun idea, and I hope you like what I have for you babe! Happy summer to all the clone lovers <3
━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━
No one exactly knew who decided to create the clones. One day, Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi ventured to a planet called Kamino, and the next, the clone army served the Republic.
They fought side by side with their Jedi generals, helping to bring about the end of the Separatist army and restore peace to the galaxy.
Until it all changed.
Suddenly, the Jedi were deemed traitors of the Republic and the clones that once fought with them now had orders to eliminate them.
You remember that day. The smoke from the Temple, the panic in the senate, the day the Republic turned into the Galactic Empire.
And now the Empire was trying to phase out clones, the clones who fought so valiantly in the name of the Republic, and now in the name of the Empire.
As an aide for the Pantoran Senator Chuchi, you worked with her side by side to fight for the rights of the clones.
That’s how you ended up in ties with the unofficial clone rebellion.
There were familiar faces, like Captain Rex and Captain Howzer, distinguished clones you had met before during assignments with Senator Chuchi.
But among the group of identical faces, there were some you knew you hadn’t met before like Fireball and Gregor.
And Echo.
The ex-ARC trooper was unlike any other clone you had met. His bravery and intelligence were unlike anything you had ever seen, not even in a clone trooper.
Between missions, when you had downtime and weren’t required by the Senator. You’d find yourself seeking him out, hoping to hear another story, to hear about his brothers that he held in such high esteem.
You’d hear tales about his days stationed at the Richi Outpost with the Domino Squad, his missions alongside the 501st as an ARC-trooper, and then there were stories about his most recent adventures alongside Clone Force 99, more commonly called the Bad Batch. His stories about the special troopers and the young girl, Omega, who joined them never failed to make you smile.
While you loved all of his stories, the ones about his brother named Fives were always your favorite. You could watch the wistful look in his eyes grow as he recounted their adventures and heroics—and of course, their (mostly Fives’) accidents.
“And when Rex walked in, Fives stood at attention hoping Rex wouldn’t notice the fact he had gotten his bucket stuck on his foot.”
Your laughter echoed through the night air as you listened to the tale from Echo’s ARC-trooper days.
“What did you do?” You managed to get out between your giggles.
Echo chuckled and shook his head. “When Rex asked what Fives had done, I looked him dead in the eyes and asked ‘who’s Fives?’”
“You didn’t!” You gasped, grabbing onto his shoulder in an attempt to keep yourself steady as another bout of laughter came on.
The clone nodded, chuckling quietly to himself at your reaction. Recounting stories of his fallen brothers was often painful. Even the mere thought of them was enough to put him in a stupor for the rest of the day.
But somehow you made his recollections a little lighter. The way you listened so intently, the way you asked questions and got involved in the conversation, the way you would rest your hand on his knee when you noticed his words start to stall and voice started to waver.
As you finally recovered from your fit of laughter, you turned your head to look at Echo only to find him already looking at you with a soft smile.
A warmth bloomed in your stomach at his expression and you found yourself matching his smile. There was something about the way he looked at you that made you feel giddy despite yourself.
“What?” You asked.
Echo’s answer was immediate. “Thank you for listening.”
Although it was a simple thanks, there was a deeper meaning behind his words.
It wasn’t just a thank you for listening, it was a thank you for being there with him, a thank you for your kind smile, a thank you for reminding him that there was still good in the galaxy after everything he had lost. You gave him hope that one day he’d see the light again.
And maybe he’d express all of that to one day. But for now, his simple thank you would have to do.
You grinned at him. “Anytime, Echo. I love your stories.”
You laid your hand on his shoulder, leaning towards him and planting a kiss on his cheek.
A small part of you relished the way he flushed at the action.
“They’re hard to tell sometimes,” he admits, glancing up at the stars above your heads.
You nodded, keeping your hand on his shoulder as you noticed his somber tone.
“But that’s why it’s good to tell them. Your brothers live on in your stories, they’re not just memories anymore.”
You let your hand slide down his shoulder until it reached his own good hand. You tangled your fingers with his, giving his palm a gentle squeeze.
He turned his head to you, gently pressing your foreheads together. He had told you about this gesture before. It was a Keldabe kiss, a tradition of the Mandalorians. And in moments like these, it felt more intimate than a normal kiss.
Maybe one day the fighting would stop and things would settle down once the peace returned. And as Echo sat with you in a moment of serenity, he was sure of it: the ghosts that he knew would flicker from view, and the two of you would have a long life.

I'd make sure the light defeated the dark
Tumblr media
(Echo x F!reader X Fives)
Warning’s: Angst, canon character death (And Un-death?), Happy-ish ending
Words: 2201
It was never easy being a strategist for the grand republic army, but it had its perks. She had met some amazing people that she never would have if she hadn’t joined up. Including her two closest friends. Echo and Fives where Arc troopers for the 501st Battalion, She had worked with them several times, and after another successful battle they we’re relaxing at 79’s having a celebratory drink, the two clones playfully competing for her attention, each in their own unique way. Echo stands next to her his hand just barely touching hers, occasionally looking in her direction with a smile as his brother Fives is doing every weird trick in the book to try to make her laugh.  Fives tells an elaborate story about Captain Rex and General Skywalker, that may or may not be based in fact, but was certainly hilarious. Her laugh fills the air with its melodic quality, and Fives smile widens, a victory in his eyes. Echo rolls his eyes with a soft smile lingering on his lips. As she looks between the two of them she has a feeling swelling in her chest, warmth and love. These are her boys and that will never change.
~
She eagerly awaited for them to return from the citadel. She was pacing the barracks as she waited. She had helped them plan every detail, but there are so many unpredictable factors in their plan. Not to mention that Commander Ahsoka had taken General Plo Koon’s place in the mission. There was so little known about the Citadel and what they did there. She thought back to the last time he saw them.
“Are we sure this thing is safe? I don’t want to end up a wall decoration.” Fives remarked as they got ready to enter the carbon freezing chamber.
“You’ll be fine Fives, just breathe.” She said giving him a smile.  She had glanced at Echo and gave him a reassuring nod before they descended into the chamber
Was it reckless of her to make such a promise? Why had she not said something to Echo before they left?  But before she has any more time to think about it she’s interrupted by the sound of the door sliding open and Fives staggered in.
“Fives!” She rushes to him side holding his face in her hands but as she looked into his eyes she saw only sadness. “What’s wrong?” she asked, worry etched in her expression.
“Echo…Echo, didn’t make it. They had us outnumbered. He went in to help…he’s gone. He’s gone.” Fives could barely hold himself up, leaning on her for support. The devastation of the loss of his brother was too much to bare. She gently guided him to a bunk where they sat together, his head resting on her shoulder as she held him gently, starting to process her own feelings. Echo was gone, sacrificed himself for the cause. She knew that there was every chance this would happen, but she would have done anything for this not to happen to them, not her boys. She hadn’t even noticed the tears streaking down her face. The pain was almost too much.
“H-he loved you, you know that right? He…wanted to…after the war… I wanted to, but Echo, he told me that night at 79s, that he wanted to take you out, but he was…so afraid you’d say no… So I…” Fives started to incoherently babble, it wasn’t like she didn’t know how they felt, and she wasn’t blind.
“I know fives, I…I know.” She moved so that they were facing each other and pressed her forehead to his. Tears running down both their cheeks as they looked into the others eyes. They had both lost someone so special to the both of them, but they had each other. “I… I loved him, but, I love you too.” She looked into his amber eyes. “Is that okay?”
“Yeah…Yeah that’s more than okay…” Fives managed to give her a small smile, and in a brief moment of powerful emotions, he pressed his lips against hers. Maybe it was too soon, maybe he wasn’t thinking. But He needed this, needed her. Needed to feel, something other than the overwhelming loss of his brother. She kissed him back, because yes, it was too soon, they weren’t thinking, but they needed something good in a galaxy of bad.
~
The war had taken a toll on them, over time it felt harder and harder to keep going. Finding time for the two of them was even harder. Chaste kisses in empty hallways and moments alone were few and far between. The rumors were that the war was nearly over, but she didn’t get her hopes up. As wandered out of the strategy meeting for an upcoming battle she felt the weight of the galaxy on her shoulders. She was tired, the last two years had been more than one being could possibly handle. As she walks through the all way towards the hanger she feels the familiar feeling of a hand from behind her pulling her hand, guiding her to an empty alcove. Fives sneaking her off for a moment alone. He smiles at her cupping her face in his hand.
“Mesh’la, Glad I caught you before I have to ship out again.” He gave her a smile as he ran his thumb across her cheek.
“I am also glad, Feels like forever since I’ve seen you.” She leans into his touch, savoring the moment she knows is all too fleeting. “Where are they sending you next?”
“Ringo Vinda, it’s a big one, joining up with Doom and his boys. We’ll probably be gone for a while.” He says, trying to be enthusiastic, but being away form each other for so long was hard, It had become harder since She had been promoted and spent more time on Coruscant, and less time out in the field.
“Well, I’ll be thinking of you, every minute.” She said with a sad smile. Fives leans in and presses a quick kiss to her lips, lingering for just a second.
“I’ll think of you every second.” He mutters as he pulled away. She laughed
“Show off.”
~
The reports that came in from the battle of Ringo Vinda were horrifying. She had read over everything, she couldn’t understand what would make Tup do that. It made absolutely no sense. And talking it over with Kix and Jessie at 79s made even less sense. When Kix got up to use the refresher she joined him sliding into the ladies to cool off a little. It was a very busy night at the bar, she would feel better if Fives was with her, but with everything going on she had more questions than answers. Something was very wrong, Fives would never attack the Chancellor. She just hoped they found him soon and figured out what was going on. As she steps out into the hallway she runs into a trooper.
“Oh, Kriff. Sorry I wasn’t-” She was interrupted by an all too familiar embrace.
“Mesh’la, thank the maker.” Fives gasped, he pulled her against him and burrowed his face in the crook of her neck, taking in her scent once more.
“Fives! What is going on, what are you doing here?” She asked, she was happy to see him, but also shocked. He pulled away from her and looked around scanning for anyone looking for them.
“I don’t have time to tell you everything. There’s, a plot, there’s these chips in our heads and…All of us are in danger. Mesh’la I…  I’ve gotta see this out.” He looked into her eyes pleading. She reaches up and touches his face.
“Fives please, I…I can’t lose you too.” She whispers.
“You won’t I promise” and with that he was gone.
~
“He said it was bigger than any of us, that he only wanted to do his duty, and the the mission and the nightmares…were over. Then…He was gone. I…” Rex had sat down with her in a secluded place in the Temple, trying his best to explain what happened. She was shaking, she couldn’t believe what he was telling her.
“No…Rex, please tell me their looking into it at least? He couldn’t have died for nothing!” She was practically begging him, for answers. He looked so downtrodden, He knew how much She had lost, what he had lost, what they shared.
“I’m sorry…but the chancellor’s doctors are sure it was a parasite.” He tried to be comforting, he wasn’t fully convinced himself, but he had to try to convince her, so she can move on.
“A Parasite? Rex…” She was skeptical, this was more than a virus or a Parasite, there was more to this. She felt the sting of tears in the corner of her eyes, she leaned forward to put her head in her hands. She felt an ache in her chest. She just wanted to hear his laugh, she missed that. She missed the feeling of Echo’s hand just barely touching her own, the sparkle in his eyes. She missed her boys.
“I Know. I guess we’ll just have to see” Rex spoke softly and reached out to touch her shoulder. They were clones, made to fight in this war, but at what cost?
~
When the war was over, it didn’t take her very long to figure out something was very wrong, Despite having deciding to step down after fives death and having lived a civilian life style for a few months everything about this new empire felt wrong. The second Rex reached out saying he was trying to organize a clone resistance movement to help clone defecting the empire she was onboard immediately. But she definitely wasn’t expecting what was to come. Neither was Echo. After being with the bad batch for a while, and coming to terms with his new way of life, he wasn’t expecting the day that he decided to join the clone underground was also the day he was going to be face to face with the love of his life. She felt like her brain was brain short circuiting when he saw him. He had changed, obviously but, at the same time he was exactly the same. Echo is the first to approach putting his good hand on her face as tears come to his eyes.
“I never thought I’d see you again,” His voice was whisper soft and full of emotions, He traced the shape of her cheeks and Jaw, in awe of the woman in front of him.
“Neither did I. I thought. I was sure, you were dead.” She fumbled over his words as she reaches for him, trying everything in her power to keep herself together.
“Not dead just…Very far away.” He said with a smile. “I’m sure, Rex told you…” his voice trailed off, he didn’t really want to talk about everything that had happened to him, He just wanted to see her, hold her, tell her how he felt. “I thought about you, all the time, at least…I’d like to think I did, I know I did once I was out of there.”
“I…I know. I thought about you too, Fives…He helped but, there was always someone missing.” She felt a tear roll down her cheek, she hadn’t talked about Fives in a long time. Echo felt the sadness in her, felt it in himself.
“Fives…You and Him…I heard.” Why was it so impossible to say a whole thought right now? Everything he wanted to say kept getting stuck inside him.
“Yes, He and I were together, after you…He told me…you loved me. And I…I love you too, I just…Kriff this is-” Echo didn’t hesitate, pulling her close and pressing his forehead to hers, he needed to be closer to her, metal limbs be damned.
“I still love you. I know, I know it’s been a long time but, I’ll do anything to keep you safe, keep you with me, keep this… I won’t give up a second chance. If you’re willing to give it.” His breath on her skin, her arms around his neck, it wasn’t the same, but it was damn good.
“More than willing, happy to.” She mutters. “I…Needed this, Needed you to comeback. And now…”
“I’m here. I won’t leave you behind. I promise.” He says sincerely. She flinches.
“Don’t…Promise things, Fives…He made a promise he couldn’t keep and It haunts me.” She closes her eyes as she felt even more tears peaking though. He understood, all too well, he understood.
“Got it, No promises.” His brow furrowed. “What did he promise?”
“That I wouldn’t lose him.” She murmurs as she looked back up at him, watching as the realization flickered in his eyes.
“I see. I’m sorry Cyar’ika, It seems for a while you lost us both.” Echo’s voice cracked slightly at the idea that she’d been alone all this time.
“I’ll be okay, now that you’re here.” She pressed her forehead closer to his, the sensation of having him close again was soothing, after missing him for so long. They had each other now. And they would, for a good long time after.

Echo x Fem!Reader Oneshot - The One I Love

Fluffy (Might rot your teeth)/ Strongly Suggestive/Foreplay/Body Worship/Oral18+
_______________
He's actually relaxed, but he keeps tightening up depending on where your eyes are wandering. Of course, you notice this. His hand is on your cheek, yours over his, and you look into his eyes with a gentle smile.
Echo smiles back. He loves it when you look at him with that look, like he's the center of your world. You bring his hand to your mouth, kissing his palm before your fingers gently trail down his arm to his shoulder, slowly, gently, adoringly.
"My beautiful man," you say dreamily.
He looks at you with a shy look and rolls his eyes, more or less seriously. Echo is very fond of being admired by you, but part of him still thinks that this admiration can't be entirely genuine. This is not because of you, however, but because of his self-perception since the Citadel.
You playfully flick a finger against his prominent chin and gently admonish him, "Stop that echo, that eye roll."
He takes a deep breath and laughs softly.
"Sometimes I still can't believe I actually get to enjoy your affection"
You kiss his palm again, your fingers stroking along his chin.
"You better believe it, because it's more than real. You're the one I love"
Echo lets out a shaky breath before saying, "You can't love me as much as I love you"
You chuckle, and your hand rests on his chest where his heart excitedly beats a wild rhythm.
"Why is that?"
Echo replies as a matter of course, "Because there is no increase from that, my beloved".
He blinks and tenses again as your eyes travel down his naked body. Noticing, you look back up into his face.
"What's wrong?"
He clears his throat and says evasively, "Nothing, I don't know what's wrong."
"Whenever I look at your body, you tense up".
Echo sighs softly and finally says, "Well, it's not an ideal body"
You place his hand on your chest, where he can feel your heartbeat. His gaze follows the movement, and for a moment it wanders along your unclothed shape. He swallows, moving a little restlessly.
"It is a ravishing body, the one I love and desire", you say seriously, "The one for which my heart beats faster when I see it, when it touches me".
Echo looks at you, a smile creeps back into his features.
"You really do love me" he says softly, and the happy glint in his eyes is to die for.
With a gentle nod, you lean over him, your lips moving over his face, to his chin and neck.
"Every inch of you"
Another shaky breath comes over his lips as yours begin to travel over his shoulder and chest, as your hands slide along his sides, and you move lower and lower.
Sitting between his legs, leaning forward, you feel his swelling length touch your belly and finally your breasts as you move further down. With a cheeky little smirk, you squeeze his now hard cock between your breasts and watch with satisfaction as he looks down at you leaning on his forearms with a low moan.
"You're too good to me," he says a little breathlessly.
"That's not even possible," you say with a wide smile, "I love the look on your face when you're horny and clearly want me"
Blush creeps into his cheeks, but he returns your smile in a suggestive way.
"I always want you, my love"
With fingers and lips, you explore his abs while his length is still pressed between your boobs.
"How could you not love this body," you say dreamily and finally wander even further down, releasing his cock from the erotic clasp of your breasts again. Finally, your kisses wander insinuating close around his shaft, making him gently jerk up and moan softly again and again.
"Look at that, so beautiful, the perfect complement to the rest of your body, a glorious cock. Long, thick, gently curved," you kiss its tip teasingly and watch it twitch, "And so wonderfully sensitive."
He laughs softly, then moans again as your tongue slides along his length from root to velvety, slightly reddened tip. His thighs automatically open a little wider, making room for you, and you lie down between his legs, your upper body propped up on your elbows, your breasts touching his testicles as you do so, your stiff nipples tickling against them.
Echo bites his lower lip. He knows what's coming, he's in for a real treat. You feel his whole abdomen tense in aroused anticipation, including his thighs, as your lips open and very slowly slide over the tip of his cock further and further down.
A soft, "Fuuuuck," comes over his lips.
Echo feels the wet heat of your mouth close around his cock and drops back into the sheets.
Pressing your tongue to the underside of his veiny length, you bob your head up and down, sucking passionately on his cock.
You enjoy every sound you elicit from him this way, and as you put your hands on his thighs, you feel them tense, his muscles stone hard. It's been a long time since the last time, Echo is getting close.
You can't wait to hear, see and feel him cum. You like that you can push him so far that he seems to dissolve completely in arousal. Echo should enjoy it, you want him to let himself fall, he has more than earned it.
You take his cock as deep as you can into your mouth, your gag reflex overcoming. Saliva drips down his length as you give it your all to suck him into release.
A particularly loud moan comes from his lips, then he says in surprise, "Woah, that's more intense than last time."
You let him penetrate deep, with each bob down of your head. Echo gasps in rapid succession, his thighs trembling. Your hand carefully moves to his firm testicles and gently grips them. They contract and the next moment, with an almost startled loud moan, you feel Echo squirt his cum down your throat.
You quickly relax your throat and carefully swallow around his length as he drifts twitching, quivering and surrendering through the aftershock of his climax.
"Oh, my love, that was… wow"
You gently release his slowly softening length from your mouth, wiping your lips with the back of your hand and grinning at him as he straightens back up onto his forearms. Echo grins back, his cheeks slightly flushed. His hand grabs your wrist and pulls you up to his height.
He wraps his arms around you and pulls you close, kissing your neck, your face, your forehead, your lips. Your legs carefully intertwined, his tense thigh presses close to your heated center, and you automatically press closer to him.
Echo can feel how wet you are and grins suggestively. He flexes his muscles and gently rubs his thigh between your legs. The friction sparks a pulse in your center and makes your heart flutter.
"Give me a few minutes, my beautiful, and I'll show you my love," he says suggestively, whispering close to your ear.
You smile, you feel aroused, loved and completely relaxed at the same time. Being loved by Echo is like a constant flow of gentleness, security, familiarity and eroticism, something in which you can be completely absorbed and let yourself go.
"Everything you do, every day, makes me feel your love," you say honestly.
He blinks, pauses for a second, then says softly, surprised, "I didn't think you'd really notice."
You laugh softly.
"Why?"
Echo looks at you shyly, shrugs gently, and says, "I'll do anything for you out of love, always have"
You lean your forehead against his and say softly, "I'm the luckiest woman in this Galaxy"

“Pour me a glass, baby.”
Tumblr media
(Gif not mine :))
Part two with Fives! Sequel to ‘cold hands and a hot drink
Reader is gender-neutral but an implied fem reader
First meet with Fives!
Character(s): Fives, reader, Echo, mentions of Anakin, unnamed roomate
Genre: Crack, fluff, this is a pretty normal fic
Overview: After the encounter with the small barista (you), Echo couldn’t seem to keep his mouth shut about you. Of course, a certain twin of his starts to get curious, and what was is better to finally meet you than a frat party where you’re serving alcohol?
Warning(s): Fratboy! Fives, Poor, shy baby Echo!, Tubetwin Fives and Echo, Language (in both Mando’a and Basic), sexual innuendos, suggestive themes, alcohol, grinding, it’s a frat party, reader is called ‘mesh’la’
950 words (?)
———————————————————————————
“—oh- and you should’ve seen the way they stood up for me, Fives- it was just- wow, I- I never seen anything so attractive-“
Yes, he knew. His dear vod Echo couldn’t seem to shut up about it ever since the encounter happened. Which, I mean- good for him, but Fives could not continue hearing his brother blabber on about this mysterious barista without Fives knowing them!
“Ugh, yes, you have told me about your very attractive barista that you’ve had your eye on for a while and stuck up for you- what’s their name again-?” Fives asked, rolling his eyes before huffing out a sigh and sinking further onto his bunk.
Echo merely gave a cricked smile to his twin before answering. “Name.” He murmured, and Fives shivered a little, never seeing his brother act like this before.
And frankly? He didn’t know whether to be proud, cringe, or curious. All three. Yeah. All three were good.
“Name...” Fives repeated, testing the foreign name on his tongue before shrugging.
“Well. Have you kriffed her yet-?“
“Shut the kriff up.”
“-yeah yeah, whatever.” He said with a small chuckle, pulling his phone out and scrolling through it lazily. Most likely going through his own posts and checking himself out.
Before receiving a text from Anakin, who said he was hosting another frat party and wanted Fives to be there.
Of course he did!
Fives was the life of the party, of course. He smirked, immediately accepting the invite and looking through its details.
“Ay, Echo- there’s another frat party tonight. Ya wanna come this time?” He asked, looking up from his phone to look at his pale brother. Echo grimaced, his nose scrunching up a little as the corner of his mouth pulled down slightly.
“I dunno, Fives. Frat parties ain’t really my thing-“
“Ooh! They’re gonna be serving drinks there!” He cut Echo off, before snickering and nudging him with his elbow. “Maybe your pretty barista might be there- you should come.” He teased. Echo side-eyed him, frowning a little, before huffing. “Don’t play like that, Fives. We don’t know that-“
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
Honestly, you had no idea why you agreed to this.
You were a barista, not some alcohol bunny.
But here you were, at this stupid party with stupid sick LED’s, loud, thumping music, many people grinding and flirting and making out or going to another dorm to do… other things.
You sighed, resting your cheek on your palm, watching the party lazily.
Anakin had practically begged the you to come out and make drinks for his party.
‘Please? You’d be doing me- everyone, a huge favor! I’ll pay you anything, just come, dude-“
‘Who knows. Maybe you’ll get laid. S’gonna be fuckin’ sick, so please come.’
Wow. Yeah. What a very convincing argument coming from the popular frat boy of the college, yeah? You didn’t know if it was demanding or whiny. Both, maybe.
But, anywho, you, of course you did, agreed just because Anakin looked like a kicked puppy and he wouldn’t shut up.
So there you were now. Handing out drinks, pills, cleaning up, yeah.
“Hey! Mesh’la! C’mere for a sec, yeah?” You perked up as a certain goateed man beckoned you over with a curl of a finger, giving you a smirk.
“Yeah?” You responded, raising a brow. “Y’see that man over there?” He gestured over to a rather familiar pale male lurking in the corner- oh! “Echo-!” You beamed, before nodding at the other male.
Fives grinned at you. Ah. So he was right. That was the same person that Echo had been nonstop babbling about. “Yep. that’s him. Y’know him?” You smiled and nodded. “Yeah! He’s a regular at my cafe.” You explained. He laughed a little, extending a hand, which you shook.
“Name’s Fives. Name, right?” You nodded, before gasping. “Oh! Yeah! You’re Echo’s twin,” you said, nodding. He laughed a little, running a hand through his hair. “Yeah… that’s me.” He purred, eyes smoldering.
Ew. You paused for a second, fingers twitching as you cringed a little before clearing your throat. “Yeah! Well- s’nice to meet you-“ you then waved at Echo, grinning at him, making the male approach them shyly.
“Hey, name.” He greeted shyly, making you smile fondly at him. “Hey, Echo. Didn’t expect to see you here.” You commented, making Echo laugh. “Same goes for you.” He shrugged.
Fives just rolled his eyes at being ignored, before shrugging. “My roommate knows you. She mentions you, sometimes.” You then spoke up to Fives, pouring Echo a glass of water, before grabbing vodka and filling another person’s cup. Fives immediately smirked at that. “Oh yeah?” He asked, you nodding at him. Of course your roommate knew him. That’s the one he fucked the other night, right? Yeah, well, at least you heard of his skills.
He laughed a little, observing you and Echo, before leaning his cup towards you. You were a good person, he could tell. Maybe a bit of a goody-two-shoes. You didn’t throw herself at him either. He couldn’t help but find that frustrating but entertaining. He did enjoy seeing you interact with his brother, though.
“Pour me a glass, baby.”

Forgive Me (Echo x Medic Reader) Part 19
Tumblr media
Words: 2K Warnings: None - Does mention Clone Rebellion Pronouns used: She/Her - (Y/N) and (Y/L/N) also used
"Calm yourself, Echo," called Rex as he put the freighter he shared with the Arc Trooper and Gregor on autopilot. "Wolffe won't let anything happen to her, whether they're together or not," added the great captain, swiveling the pilot's chair around to face his companions, noticing Gregor seemed preoccupied with something.
"She's with him," confidently replied Gregor, throwing his feet on the dashboard as he leaned back and relaxed a little more, a grin appearing across his lips mere moments later. "Didn't you hear?" asked the Commando, not wording he'd recognize Snap's giggle anywhere, especially when he purposely wound up Wolffe.
"How do you know it was (Y/N) and not some civvie Wolffe picked up?" asked Echo, almost as if he assumed Wolffe was similar to Fives and Jesse, even Gregor himself, when it comes to the charm and ladies. His question only served to amuse Gregor, who loudly laughed while Rex shook his head as if trying to rid himself of unwanted mental images.
"Wolffe ..." started Rex with a sigh before stopping, almost as if he searched for the right words. "He doesn't trust those outside of his circle, especially civvies..." continued the great captain, recalling the times in 79's when Wolffe had been somewhat relaxed but still on guard. "After the judgment and fear he received because of his eye, he grew colder to outsiders," explained Rex, trying to word the explanation in the kindest ways possible, determined not to offend the Commander even if he wasn't there.
"Upon my return from The Void, I was assigned as her protector alongside Gruffles; I'd recognize her laughter anywhere," answered Gregor, once again nicknaming Wolffe, similar to how he'd nicknamed others around him based on their personality and his knowledge of them. "Plus, we have Cody's account; that has to count for something," he added, returning his gaze to the ordinary colors of hyperspace, almost welcoming the distraction despite knowing it wouldn't last long.
"You'll see her soon enough. I'm sure Snap will be just as thrilled to see you as you are for her," spoke Rex, changing the subject to the impending reunion once more, almost seeing the irony. The scenario was almost an exact repeat of before, except now it was just Rex himself and Gregor instead of Clone Force 99, General Skywalker, and Rex. Instead of returning to a military base of operations on Anaxes, Snap is within the ranks of the GAR, serving with the 501st. Now, she was touring the length of the galaxy with Wolffe, hiding from the empire and their unknown desires and motivations.
"I'll tell her about her family," voiced Gregor, seemingly lost in the swirls of hyperspace, although it was clear he was thinking of an impending reunion too. Rex and Echo glanced at each other, both still debating if it was a good idea to tell her Devika was the only family she truly had left. Octavius and Isolde had both been killed at the end of the war, and (Y/N)'s parents and other immediate family members had been killed not long after for one reason or another. Her parents vocally protested what happened at the Military Base. The others for trying to protect both Snap and Devika. "Good idea or not, Snap deserves to know the truth. It's better it comes from someone she trusts than allowing the imps to weaponize it."
"Where is Devika now?" asked Echo, recalling the younger woman with a love for politics. Despite everything, she stood as a fighter for Clone Rights alongside senators Chuchi, Organa, and Mon Mathma. "I don't recall seeing her around the senate building," added the Arc Trooper, concern beginning to flood his voice, even more so when Omega had mentioned some she'd met when with Riyo.
"The Queen of Naboo extended an invitation to her, she's been helping survives of the purge get away and hide" replied Rex, recalling briefly meeting the young politician when on Naboo before, at first he thought she was (Y/N), the two being almost identical. "The queen keeps her protected until the times right for her to return to the Senate, likely as a fully-fledged senator," added the great captain, hearing Gregor chuckle, noticing something few others seemed to recognize.
"I wonder if they did that on purpose?" questioned Gregor, purposely being vague with his line of thought. Another chuckle fled his lips mere moments later upon glancing at Echo and Rex, seeing the confusion written across their features. "Snap and Wolffe running across the galaxy is distracting the imps to the point they haven't even realized Devika is probably the bigger threat. One refuses to give the empire what they want out of sheer stubbornness, and the other is basically building a rebellion," explained the Commando, seeing the irony in the situation. Almost as if the (Y/L/N) sisters had used the divide and conquer tactic against the empire.
"If that was planned, they're doing a good job at it," replied Echo, a proud grin coming to his lips, even more so when their plan seemed to be working. "Tech would be proud," laughed the Arc Trooper, thinking of how Tech and the rest of the Bad Batch would respond.
"So would the rest of the boys," added Rex, knowing all their brothers would be proud of what the (Y/L/N) sisters had managed to do, even if it was unintentional. "And General Skywalker," he added, thinking of the unorthodox Jedi Knight he'd served under for the entirety of the war. Deep down, Rex liked to think the General would be pleased his creative thinking had rubbed off the civvie medic and the senator. "I think Senator Amidala would be proud too; I'm sure if she was still here, she'd be doing as Devika is now," sorrowfully added Rex, sadness glimmering in his eyes to think of all those lost at the end of the war for various reasons.
"Speaking of planned things," started Gregor, pulling his feet from the dashboard, being careful not to catch any buttons and leavers. "How do you plan to sway old Wolffee to join your rebellion?" curiously worded the Commando, suspecting it would be no easy feat to convince the Commander to join the ranks of the growing clone rebellion. "And the rest of Clone Force 99?" he added with haste, suspecting Rex had a plan to convince the three remaining lads of the Bad Batch to join them.
"Hunter, Tech, and Wrecker have Omega to think about; her safety is the number one priority for them," voiced Rex, acknowledging in order for the rest of the bad batch to fight, they would have to be sure Omega would be protected. "As for Wolffe, it shouldn't be much trouble; convincing Snap will be far harder," he replied, knowing the plan Cody had thought of would certainly help, but it relied on (Y/N) and put her in more danger than she was already in. It involved putting her into the heart of the empire's secret goings-on.
"Convince Snap of what?" asked Echo, quickly deciphering he wasn't going to like the answer. Still, he pushed the growing fear and judgment of the situation aside to listen with a clear mind. Rex could only sigh, whereas Gregor clearly displayed his disagreement with Cody's plan; even if it would help them, he was still insistent it wasn't worth the risk.
"Before Cody went looking for General Kenobi, he shared a plan with Rex. It would help with the rebellion and freeing our brothers, but it will also put (Y/N) in the heart of all the danger," worded Gregor, displeasure dripping from his normally smooth voice as he slumped back into the co-pilot chair he'd occupied as if protesting against the idea once again.
"We know clones within the imperial ranks and prisons are disappearing. They're transferred to a secret facility somewhere and never heard from or mentioned again. Cody theorized they were doing experiments on them, he'd heard whispers of a top secret project, Death or Dark Troopers" wearily began Rex as if he was doubting his own judgement for agreeing with the idea in the first place. It was dangerous, and (Y/N) was no soldier, "Snap was supposed to be transferred to the Advanced Science Division when the war ended, but Wolffe, with help from Fox, got to her first. The Science Division is also involved in the disappearances; at first, I thought it was a coincidence, but the more time that passes, the more I believe whoever runs the division had a purpose for wanting (Y/N)," added Rex, sighing as the truth was slowly dawning on him, why the empire wanted to send Snap to such as place.
"To use her as a weapon against us," voiced Gregor, pointing out the obvious answer as well as displaying his disagreement with practically handing Snap to the Science Division on a silver platter. "We clones are loyal to her. We're her army. Who better to use against us?" added the Commando, thinking like the enemy to come to the only logical answer there was. Snap wasn't going to join the empire willingly; the imperials knew it, so her purpose was to be a tool, leverage to force clones to do what the imperials wanted.
"I agree with Gregor," stated Echo, not willing to put Snap in danger, especially if there was another way to get what they needed without taking such a risk. "I know (Y/N) would be willing to do this, especially if it meant furthering something she believed in, but I couldn't bear it if she were hurt or killed. I almost lost her once; I can't take that risk knowing this time she might not come back," added the Arc Trooper for once, listening to his heart rather than his head. Finally, he admitted how it felt being parted from Snap for almost a year, how it felt like he had lost her. He'd already mourned what could have been had the war ended differently, mourned the life he could have shared with her. He didn't want to go through the grief of actually losing her, as he had done with so many brothers, as he had done with Fives and Jesse, and so many others.
"Told you," victoriously spoke Gregor. "Old Wolffee isn't gonna be a walk in the park either."
"And if Snap agrees to the plan?" asked Rex, knowing the opinions of his brothers mattered, but so did (Y/N)'s. What would they do if she agreed to do as Cody suggested? What would any of them do if she willingly joined the Advanced Science Division as a mole? "I know Wolffe would protest, but he'd also do what he could to protect her, even if that meant telling her she's an idiot," added the great Captain, recognizing the danger and Wolffe protesting. After all, protecting Snap was the only duty Wolffe likely felt he had left; there was little doubt the Commander wouldn't be so quick to let it go, especially if he were aware the civvie medic still needed him as much as he needed her.
"I would reluctantly agree. I know better than to argue back with her," quietly replied Gregor, as if he were a cadet again being scolded on Kamino. After all, he was well aware it was pointless trying to convince Snap not to do something, especially if she'd already made her mind up about it. "I'd do everything in my power to make sure she's as safe as possible and has the support needed to complete her mission."
"I would say try and convince her otherwise, but I know she's more stubborn than a Rancor at feeding time," commented Echo, knowing his Civvie Medic could be far more determined and stubborn than the best of soldiers. She could be more savvy than the politicians in the Senate if she had to be, and she was as fearless as the Jedi once were. But that didn't mean he wasn't afraid of losing her; they'd both survived one war, but there was no guarantee they would survive another; the Empire was far crueler than both the republic and the separatists combined, cold and ruthless when it came to dealing with their enemies.

Babe Across The Bar [LGBT+ Fem!Reader]
Tumblr media
Warnings and Information: Feminine LGBT+ reader who expresses romantic/sexual attraction for more than just men. HOMOPHOBES BEGONE! List is primarily TBB centric, with a few bonus Clones. Minor suggestive content/dialogue. Pining. Gay Panic™. Mentions of alcohol. Sprinkling of Mando'a. Minor language. There's one line that could be interpreted as the reader experiencing being outed against her will, but kept vague in Tech's section of these snapshot scenarios. Hardcase's section deals with homophobes. Doesn’t follow the typical headcanons put into bullet points format because I ended up being a little too inspired for these! Some of these also deviated from the original prompt, but I feel they still relate enough to warrant inclusion.
Word-count: 4,694
Tumblr media
Prompt: How would the boys (any boys, all the boys, whomever boys) react to their gal friend/crewmate and/or feminine S/O commenting on how stunning another girl is?
Tumblr media
Hunter (Crewmate offering to be your wingman)
His eyes often flit to the door whenever someone walks in out of habit in large part to his senses. Keeping an eye on his surroundings. Things he was trained to do. So he notices the attractive woman who's just strolled in through the front entrance of 79's. Her clothing, her hair, her nails are all beautiful and immaculate.
And he notices how your breath hitches in your throat when you see her. But it's not insecurity or jealousy that made you do that. He's caught on for a while now that you "swing more than one way" as it were. But you've never been explicit in your words, or given him the big speech, so he's kept his mouth shut. If a member of his crew has something to tell him, he wants to give them a chance.  You're no different.
But the comment under your breath is enough to finally ask. "Oh Maker, she's gotta be one of the angels from Iego…" You've just compared her to the Diathim of Millius Prime, practically swooning.
He takes a sip of his drink, eyes trained on the bombshell beauty you seem to be pining for. "You wanna go talk to her?"
You shake your head rapidly at him, trying not to choke on the drink in your hands with the fruit-flavored and colorful, jelly-like particulate. (It's new to the novelty drinks menu at 79's, so Hunter's not sure how it tastes, but you seem to like it.) "Oh stars no!" Did he misread the situation before him, were you looking at her with jealousy after all?
You sigh, putting your head in your hands with a groan. "She's so out of my league… She's probably only here for the troopers, anyways." you add solemnly, finally slumping forward in your seat at the bar top. Hunter sets down his glass and plants a steady hand on your shoulder in a gesture of comfort. He's still getting to know you as a regular part of his squad, in all fairness, but he should have trusted his instinct. You did seem to have a thing for women.
So maybe he could offer to help.
"Well… if you've had enough liquid courage and want to try your luck, I'll be your wingman, cyar'ika." he says, giving you a friendly pat after slowly sitting up. You'll think about it, you murmur.
You never end up making a move to so much as introduce yourself to her, much, much too nervous. At the end of the night, Hunter, who had tried to coax and encourage you several times throughout the night, just gives you another pat on the back. "Maybe next time, cyare. Don't feel too bad." As you walk back to the Marauder together, Hunter won't pressure you into it of course but he offers to help you practice for next time, if you think it'll cheer you up. As part of his squad, there'll always be the banter and the teasing of course, but Hunter will always offer to help.
Tumblr media
Crosshair (Initially confused (+ insecure) partner)
Sight sharper than a knife, he was not quite afraid to check out the beautiful woman hanging off another Clone's elbow once upon a time. But now, with you, he keeps himself in check for the most part. You've briefly had that talk as a relatively new couple, that really it’s okay. It’s only natural to look. We’re all kriffing human, after all, aren’t we? The whole possessive ownership aspect is weird and icky to you, and you’re not gonna get yourself in a twist just because you catch him glancing at another woman. But he realizes there's probably something else you should have talked about together.
You like women too, and you’re looking at them just as much. It's hard to miss by the fifth instance of a remark like "Oh, she's cute!" and subsequent gestures with your glass to indicate who you're looking at. He's trying so hard not to feel like you’re testing him. Like you’re playing some little game by calling his loyalty into question, just how “obedient” he’ll really be. "Oh, yeah?" There's a strange twist of discomfort in his guts that he can't figure out. Is he jealous? Is he upset? (Should he order something to eat from the overpriced appetizer menu?)
"Yeah, I mean, look at her," you invite him with a flashy smile, "she's cute!"
He blinks at you with mild concern. He's heard alcohol brings out a different side in people, and he can't recall the full array of what you've had to drink. "Are you feeling alright?" He's unsure why he's so bothered. Is it because you're not paying attention to him?
"Better than alright, Cross. What's wro-? Oh. Oh shit didn't I tell you?" you set down your drink with a soft laugh and an apology, face looking flushed in a way that has nothing to do with the red and purple club lights. "I, uh, I play for more than one team, romantically at least. I'm sorry if I never told you, Crosshair."
He frowns for a split second, but he quickly answers that there's no need to apologize. He was a little confused at first sure (and perhaps slightly envious that you were commenting so openly on other people who weren't him), but he takes a look now at the woman you had indicated. She's not just cute, "Oh, the smoke show in the red dress?"
"Yeah. That's the one." you nod approvingly, the movement slow and deliberate. "She's a stunner, ain't she?" Certainly is, he agrees. (One of his brothers sighs playfully and makes the remark that nights out to 79's, or any bar for that matter, will get a lot more interesting from now on.)
The rest of the night carries on this way, you making the occasional glancing once-over of another trooper's arm-candy for the night, but most of your attention is given to Crosshair. You're with him for a reason. You know how to behave yourself, for kriff's sake. Any inkling of the horrible, hateful stereotypes of your orientation being true are so far from reality. You don't make passes at everyone you see. You keep your comments innocent and general if you decide to get a little gutsy and talk to one of them.
The redhead's got curls to die for, what kind of product is she using?
That is such a cute dress (with pockets!) that you have to know where she got it, because you swear you've seen fashion like that on Naboo.
Sorry if this is weird to ask but she's totally wearing a designer fragrance from one of the Core Worlds, right?
By the end of the night, Crosshair is reassured that you're not playing any kind of game with him, and perhaps the two of you will be having another talk to smooth out any wrinkles he has in his understanding of your orientation; but you promise him over and over you're with him for a reason in case any of your comments tonight made him feel any doubt. Just because you swing more than one way does not mean you're going to leave in the event you feel a stronger preference for women for a while. You love him.
And he wholly believes you.
Tumblr media
Wrecker (Your enthusiastic hype-man)
"Oh shit." You hunker down in the booth seat, wide-eyed and breathless.
Wrecker reflexively glances down at the casual fatigues he wore to 79's tonight instead of the dark red and gray armor he typically wears. "Wha'? Did I get dip on myself again?" He doesn't see anything, so he takes a look at you, and that's when he notices you practically halfway under the table. "Did you drop something? I can lift the table so it's easier to-!"
"No!" you blurt out, sitting up. "That won't be necessary! Don't lift the table!"
You're starting to confuse him. "Then what's wrong?"
"She's here." A slightly shaky finger is pointed across the Clone bar, where seated at the counter, is the woman who's only ever shown interest in the other girls often brought here, or the dancers. You've had a not-so-silent crush on her for ages but didn't want to go and try anything. Until last week when she turned down what must've been the hundredth trooper. "Sorry fellas, afraid I'm not interested. But you'd all definitely be my type if I was into men." Oh Maker you'd been a hopeless mess.
The endless inner cycle of 'do I want to BE her, or do I want to be WITH her?' had finally sorted itself out in your head after that.
Wrecker knew from the jump that your romantic and sexual interests did not begin and end with men when he caught you staring at the same woman as him in a dirty jumpsuit on the airfield. And then literally caught you when you tripped over Tech's box of tools in your distraction. Ever since, he's done his best to help you make a move over someone you were clearly feeling something for.
"Go talk to her!" Wrecker encourages you, nudging your ribs with a careful elbow, "Say hi!"
"Maker, I can't, she's so pretty a-and like-? Oh Wrecker I can't even explain it… It's like I look at her and I just-"
Wrecker chuckles softly, leveling you with a look that tells you he knows exactly what you mean. "Have trouble thinkin' straight because she's gonna be paying attention and you don't want to kark it up?"
You bite your bottom lip so hard he's worried you'll make it bleed and get it all over your pretty little outfit. "Y-yes! I'm so nervous…"
He tells you not to worry about it too much, you're overthinking it! "Introduce yourself, mesh'la. You'll kick yourself for days if you don't." Okay, okay, he's right. Here goes nothing, you say. You slip out of the booth seat and sidle up to the drinks counter under the notion of ordering another drink first, but your crush takes notice of you in her proximity, and all she manages is a pleasant hello before you're a grinning mess. Wow, you had it bad for her. You stammer through your introduction, and give her your name as you say it was nice to meet her, and sure, you'd love to chat while the drink slinger whips something up!
In one of your many nervous glances around the club, he makes sure you get a clear view of his approving thumbs up. You're doing great! You end up talking to her for nearly forty-five minutes before she has to leave, she's got work in the morning, but she's scribbling something down on the bar top that Wrecker can't see.
"Hey, look at you! You did it, kid!" Wrecker cheers as you walk back over to the booth in a daze, your eyes focused on the slip of flimsiplast in your hands.
"Sh-she gave me her comm frequency… What does that mean?"
Wrecker can only laugh. Oh man, guess even you will have your help-how-do-I-function-around-a-girl-I've-never-even-met-a-girl moments he's seen many Clones have.
"I think that means she wants to keep talking to ya, ad'ika."
"O-oh." Is all you simply say. "Holy kriff I did it. I talked to her." you add after a long, long pause as Wrecker adds the number into your contacts for you, just in case the flimsi gets wet and you end up losing the number before the night is over.
"You sure did! I knew you could do it!"
Tumblr media
Tech (Not-so-surprised friend)
To him, the fact that you have a romantic, perhaps even sexual interest in women is as obvious as the fact that the phenotypic eye color for (most) Clones is brown.
That's simply just how it is, in his world. But he has extensively researched how significant a coming out is for people such as yourself who do not fall under a heteronormative scope. He does not ask. He does not hint to you that he knows. And if he has let it slip, he is careful to express that it is not a big deal.
Not a big deal in the sense that he would end a friendship with you, or view you as if there was something "broken" and "defective" about you. That would be rather hypocritical of him after all. Well, sort of. He's more deviant than defective, because his genetic mutations do not hinder his ability to perform as a competent soldier of the GAR, and much like your inclinations, that is not something he has control over. He is simply a Clone from a "bad batch" much in the same way that you are a woman who fancies other women.
If you were to even come out to him, he has already carefully considered what he would say to you. He values your friendship and your company. He would very much like to maintain this by saying the right thing.
That he is glad that you trusted him enough to share such an important facet of yourself. That though, quite honestly, he has questions, he will save them for another time. That he understands you must be nervous, scared even, but he will never treat you any different than before you told him. And he most definitely will not tell you that he deduced this months ago.
But blast him, when you sent him a message asking to meet up at 79's a little earlier before the typical meetup, he was so certain that this was the conversation. So he had been mentally coaching himself on what to say, but more importantly what not to say so much, that when you slipped into the booth and said "I wanna tell you something, Tech…" it slipped his mouth faster than a Mon Calamari in water.
"That you like women?"
Oh shit. Oh shitshitshit. That was the thing he was supposed to refrain from saying or asking!
"Hah… Was I really that obvious? Did I worry for nothing?" You ask with a sincere laugh. You're not offended, or angry, or anything in the slightest. In fact, you look relieved. "...Tech?"
"I'm so sorry." is all he can offer. Oh Maker, he's so incredibly sorry, he tells you. He's robbed you of the chance to have a very significant conversation about what many deem unnatural, but in fact it's not; just before you joined him in their usual booth at 79's he was reading an admittedly rather heartwarming article about same-sex couples occuring in the galactic animal kingdom before you arrived, actually! (Everything from the little nuna to the mighty and magnificent purrgil!) But he's suspected this for some time and didn't think it was his place to ask. He's sorry he's ruined this chance for y-
You interrupt him with a laugh as you take one of his hands and squeeze it reassuringly. You just laugh and laugh, a grin from ear to ear the whole time before you settle yourself. "Oh, Tech… It's okay! I don't care if it didn't end up being surprising to you. I'm just so glad you understood that you shouldn't say something just because it was obvious in this case. Thank you. You're a good friend. Not everyone has been."
He's sorry to hear that, first and foremost. "But I am… glad that you trusted me enough to want to tell me."
Tumblr media
Echo (Friend who's known for ages)
Echo carefully tests whatever fun and colorful drink you ordered for yourself as you give his a try. The two of you have been friends for ages, since before the Citadel. So that means Echo's known nearly as long as you've been friends that you swing more than one way. In fact, it was surprisingly comforting to know that had not changed since ending up in a Techno Union chamber.
"Hey, cyar'ika. Can I ask if you… Would it be weird to…" he sighed sharply and says he's just going to rip off the bacta patch and ask. "Do you still like women in addition to-?"
"Don't worry. That hasn't changed while you were gone." you told him, wrapping him up in a careful hug on one of those first nights since he'd been freed and given time to rest. To fill himself in on what happened in the galaxy around him since being plugged into an algorithm. "Welcome back, Echo."
He sets the drink down and shakes his head, and you give him back his beverage with a disgusted shudder. "Ugh. How can you stand that?" you both tease each other in tandem.
"I don't understand your taste in beverages, but at least I understand your taste in women." Echo rags on you with a mischievous smile, indicating someone across the club who's been staring at the drinks menu for the last three minutes. "How about her? Clone News Network suggests she's a little shy, perhaps, but I've heard you have a similar hobby. That's something, hm?"
You scoff, knowing well enough that the rumor mill requires taking things with a grain of salt. "Oh no, that's not enough to just-"
"She's also of 'multiple persuasions'." Echo assures you, quelling that particular anxiety. "Believe me, I asked around rather… extensively." he suggests.
"Oh, did you now?"
"Mhm."
"Are you trying to set me up on a d-?"
Echo shakes his head. "Mm-mn. Only asked if any of the boys had gotten a vibe, or heard anything. She's pretty forthcoming about it, turns out, so it's not like this was something I found by invading her privacy or betraying trusts." He's a skilled tactician, he reminds you gently, and he understands that asking around takes delicacy and knowing that you can't just ask any ol' brother.
He's nothing but mindful, as ever. "If you wanna do anything about it, that's up to you. You get more out of something when you want it, I wasn't going to set you up for something against your will."
You take a thoughtful swig of your beverage and set the glass down on the bar top once more. "If I did… would you help me plan on how to make a move? You know I'm a little hopeless with this stuff. Guys are one thing, but, I dunno, it's different when trying to flirt with another woman as a woman." you admit with a nervous laugh.
Of course he would, Echo promises sweetly, kindly as ever.

BONUS CLONES
Fives (Gives you advice)
Between reminding Hardcase not to go in rotary cannons blazing nearly every mission, and coming up with sufficient battle strategies as an Advanced Recon Commando, Fives is nearly convinced that he'll go gray by the time he's, what, technically fifteen? Nearly.
So in a way, he loves when you send him a message asking for his input on low-stakes stuff. No one's in any danger, he's not worried about a brother's safety, and he still gets to show off how smart he is.
>Oh Maker Fives help there's a total babe here tonight I think she's super cute but I don't know if it's safe to make a move or say anything what do I do
It's 21:00: are you at 79's?
> Yeah why
79's is a pretty accepting establishment, so see if anything she brought with her or is wearing has any kind of pin, or keychain or deliberate color scheme, Ka'ra. Take a deep breath.
He chuckles as he watches the bubbles start and stop at the bottom of the messaging feature repeatedly. Poor you. Must be so nervous. So worked up on your own anxiety and panic that you might benefit from a second, teasing reminder.
Ka'raaaa. Did you take a deep breath, silly? I don't care what the song says, love is not a battlefield, you don't need to panic.
He thinks for a second and changes his mind.
Actually no, scratch that. It is, but it isn't. You still need a strategy, but you need to have a level head first.
> You're right, you're right. Taking a deep breath
Captain Rex seems to materialize behind him and over the shoulder like a hologram, peering down at the screen out of curiosity. "Those don't look like reports. One of our brothers having a little lady trouble at 79's again?"
Fives laughs in good humor. "I'm not exactly sure why I got designated the 501st's biggest flirt, but I'll take it, Captain." He can get plenty nervous and unsure of what to say like anyone else, but Fives cares about his brothers; of course he's going to do his best to help them. "No, it's our favorite mechanic here on Coruscant." He trusts his Captain will exercise his discretion and make no mention of knowing the romantic and sexual persuasions of their friend if she hadn't made explicit mention to him. "I see. Well, wish her luck for me. I've got my own reports I've put off long enough."
"I'll have mine in by 21:30, Captain!" Fives promises, knowing he'll probably be helping some of the Shinies learn to fill them out properly once again. A little extra guidance and another source of advice goes a long way for many, brothers and friends alike.
> Good call about looking for pins, Fives. I think I'm in the clear
He's not totally sure what that color scheme ties to when you describe the personal touch this "total babe across the bar" has added to her handbag looks like, but the simple fact that you're now fairly sure you're safe to flirt with her (if that's what you decide to do) brings you a lot of relief.
Him too, honestly.
You gonna go for it, mesh'la? The Captain and I wish ya luck if you do!
> I'd have to think of the right words first, but thanks Fives. You coming to 79's later tonight?
Have reports to finish up, so we'll see.
> Your's or some of your brothers'? (Is it Hardcase's again?)
Very funny, Ka'ra. I just try to be helpful to whoever asks.
> I'm only teasing~ You're a very smart dependable brother, and friend, Fives. Next time you come to 79's if it's not tonight, I'll buy you a drink as a way of saying thank you.
Fives smiles. He'd like that, he responds. He wishes you luck once more, and says he should get a start on wrapping this particular report up since it contains information the Captain will need to report to General Skywalker with.
Never told us there'd be this much damn paperwork to do as part of our training on Kamino if you're gonna be made an ARC trooper.
> Good thing you're smart, Fives. I'm confident you'll figure out something wicked intelligent, like how to stop this war one day. 🩷
Tumblr media
Captain Rex (Doing his best to learn and support you)
"Huh… gotta say, there's certainly a lot to try to understand; I might still have a few questions about it, but I'm not gonna pry into it if you don't feel like explaining it." The Captain admits, scratching the back of his neck with a soft chuckle. "I'm not quite up to speed on all this, but-"
"Rex, it's okay." you assure him. "I know you're doing your best. I only told you a short while ago, remember? And hey," here you take his hand and give him a friendly squeeze, "it took me a while to realize this stuff about myself too. It's not always like the media where it just… "clicks", suddenly! It's almost like a building suspicion, or passing thoughts that you try to excuse at first, but then you realize that you're feeling these feelings and thinking these thoughts more and more. And that's when you tend to figure out "Oh, hey, that term I found on the Holonet describes me!" and it all makes sense. For the most part."
"Oh?" Rex asks, intrigued.
"Sometimes you find a label or orientation that fits you better than one you were first using." you explain, scribbling down a few labels off the top of your head onto a scrap of flimsi you had among your things as you met up with the Captain for a cup of caf on your day off, "Like say, you think this one best explains you," you circle an example, "so you use it for a while. But then later you hear about this-" you x-out the first label and circle a new one, "and you find it does a much better job of explaining how you feel. And there was nothing wrong with identifying with the first one for a while until you found what fit better and changed it, either."
He nods thoughtfully, very clearly mulling this over. Then it hits him. "A little like, well, when a Clone finds their name?"
"Yes!" you cheer, "Yes, kinda like when a Clone finds his name! Maybe he thought he wanted to be called Skip for a while, but he decided he felt more comfortable with naming himself Tripper after hearing someone else say it for the first time."
He thinks he better understands this now when he thinks of it in this context, he explains with a smile that suggests a lot of relief. He's just so busy, but he wanted to understand what you meant after the last night out you had with the 501st and you were all sharing embarrassing stories. Rex wasn't a stranger to the fact that men could like men and women could like women, but some of these other labels were lost on him.
"I've been around a while, but I have to admit I don't know what that means." he sheepishly replied when you explained what your orientation was as part of your embarrassing situation. But now that he knows, Rex wants you to know you'll always have his support.
Tumblr media
Hardcase (Identifies as a Kriffing Problem if you don't respect his friends)
It's good news for you, bad news for the nasties when they decide that they want to be antagonistic in a safe space. You wanted to check out a new, very accepting bar in the area, and had asked Hardcase to come along with you to help ease your nerves about it.
His lively energy would do everyone some good, you figured. He was friendly and personable, so he'd get along with everyone. And you were right; Hardcase truly does get along with everyone from the snappily-dressed bartenders to the other allies who are there to support their friends in case there's trouble.
Everyone except the bigots. He's always been all-smiles off the battlefield due to his energetic nature, and you've never seen him drop a smile so fast. When it's time to get serious, Hardcase gets serious. "What the kriff did you say?" He's not asking because he didn't hear what insults had been lobbied your way, he's giving the other guy a chance to back down and leave if he knows what's good for him. "I know you didn't just say that about my friend."
The other guy repeats himself, louder this time. "I said anyone who identifies as a-"
"I'm about to identify as a kriffing problem if you don't shut the hell up." Hardcase warns him one last time, putting himself between you and the antagonizer who overheard you mentioning there were a lot of cute girls here tonight.. "Sorry that you feel so threatened by a woman finding someone other than you attractive, but that's a "you" problem that you should take somewhere else." He suggests they take a hike to 79's specifically. He conveniently "forgets" to mention that it's a Clone bar, and as the troublemakers leave, he tips off a few of his brothers about what's headed their way.
"Don't worry about them. They'll find out how many of us identify as a kriffing problem before they think about trying this again anytime soon." Hardcase promises, his sweet and charming smile present like it never even left as he checks on you after the fact.

@eclec-tech You say fun but you chose one of the saddest ones...
Prompt: Kissing away their tears
This could work both ways so I did half as 501st Echo and half as TBB Echo, taking a page from this AMAZING fic by @moonlightwarriorqueen
Warnings: angst, Hurt/Comfort, You break down about the war. Echo misses Fives and has self-depreciating thoughts. Crying.
Fall (TCW&TBB!Echo x Reader)

Tumblr media
The night had taken a depressing turn when Echo told you about the fates of the domino squad. He hadn’t expected you to be so sentimental over his fallen brothers, yet lo and behold here you sat crying in his arms.
“How do you handle all of this?” You cried, gasping for little breaths as tears fell uncontrollably from your eyes.
Echo tightened his hold on you and rested his forehead against yours. “Unfortunately we we’re conditioned to withstand a lot of stress.”
This did nothing to quell your sadness.
“I’m so sorry about how the Republic treats you and your Brothers, Echo.”
He gave a humorless laugh, pressing his lips to your temple. “I appreciate the sentiment, cyare, but there is absolutely no need to apologize. You’re genuinely the nicest person I’ve ever met since I was decanted.”
You looked up at him with tears gathering in your lashes. His sad smile fell into a worried expression. So tenderly that you’d never know he was a rambunctious ARC trooper, he pressed a kiss to each tear track on your flushed cheeks. Another sob escaped you at the gesture.
“Now that was supposed to stop the tears.” He teased. “I promise, Cyare, it’ll be alright. After the Lola Sayu mission, we’ll have a long leave. You and I can go somewhere nice and forget about the war for a while, huh?”
You nodded, nuzzling into his warm chest.
Tumblr media
You stepped out of the kitchen with two caf mugs and returned to your bedroom.
Echo sat on the edge of the bed facing the wall. You could tell he was fiddling anxiously with his scomp, causing your smile to fade into a frown.
"Echo, baby." you cooed, setting the mugs down and crawling across the bed to hug him from behind. You kissed one of the studs in his scalp. "What's going on in that beautiful mind of yours."
His eyes met yours, and you saw the tears gathering in them.
"Everything, cyare. Just....with the techno union, I had no idea how many brothers were being killed because I knew the plans, and then I wake up and my best friend, is dead and I couldn't have said goodbye to him, and I made you wait all that time thinking I was dead, and--"
"Hey, Hey." you stopped him. "None of that was your fault; you know you can't keep dwelling on it. Somewhere, Fives is smiling, because in the end, you managed to cheat death and get the girl."
You kissed each tear that fell from his eyes, wiping others away with your thumb while he held you close. Perhaps it wasn't the happiest way to start the morning, but you and your Echo were healing from a lifetime of pain.
That mattered the most.

The squad was almost ready to go, finishing up loading the Marauder for their next mission. It was mostly Wrecker doing the heavy lifting, working his thrusters off to get everything inside. You wanted to be helpful, contribute to the preparations being made, so you started pushing and carrying around crates.
A stinging pain when you scraped your lower arm against something sharp, protruding from one of the crates. “Kark,” you whispered under your breath, scolding yourself for being so clumsy. You weren't even engaged in battle and you managed to get yourself hurt.
You had gone back to aiding Wrecker when you heard Echo's voice. “You're bleeding,” he called at you, his voice a mixture of surprise and concern. You shot him a quick smile before replying: “It's nothing.” But as you did, you looked at your arm, and noticed the cut was deeper than you had realised. That was going to leave a mark.
He walked over and gently took your arm, carefully examining the wound. “Let me fix that for you,” he smiled at you. “It's alright, I've had worse,” you replied, your lips curling into a wry smile, because unfortunately, that was the truth. Tagging along with the Batch hadn't been without risks.
Echo chuckled, releasing your arm. “At least let me stop the bleeding. It's gonna be all over these crates,” he light-heartedly responded. The corner of his mouth was slightly raised into a smirk, and you noticed an amused flicker in his eyes. You finally nodded in agreement. He was right, of course; Echo always was.
He sat you down on a crate in a remote spot of the hangar, kneeling in front of you with a medpac at his side. You let your arm rest on your leg, the wound directed towards Echo. With a clean bandage, he stopped the bleeding. He put a bit of pressure on it, and shot you an apologetic look when you winced.
When the bleeding had stopped, he cleaned the wound with a cleansing fluid before applying a small bacta patch, nicely covering the cut. His touch was so soft, tender even; he made sure he wouldn't hurt you more than necessary. It was nothing like what you'd seen whenever he would patch up one of his brothers.
“There, that should be enough,” he cooed when he was ready, but he didn't stand up just yet. "Thanks for always patching me up," you smiled at him, and he returned it with a subtle smirk. "I really wish you wouldn't need it so much; but you're welcome anyway.”
He started rummaging through the medpac, taking out the empty packaging of the materials he had just used. You weren't ready for him to leave just yet, so you took the opportunity to keep him there for a bit longer; to keep him with you.
“Thank you, Echo,” you said genuinely, your voice soft and your eyes straight at him. He chuckled before replying: “Not a problem.” He looked back at you, and when he did, he noticed you staring right into his eyes. He abruptly stopped rummaging, instantly forgetting about the medpac at his side.
“No, I mean- Thank you for everything,” you continued, and slowly, you put your hand on his cheek. He was taken off guard by the sudden touch, and you noticed his pale cheeks colour a warmer shade. “It's, er- it's nothing,” he stammered, averting his gaze from you, but you gently cupped his chin in your hand and guided his gaze back to meet yours again.
“Not to me,” you whispered, and an affectionate smile appeared on your face. You slowly leaned forward and closed your eyes as you did, and finally let your forehead touch his. You heard Echo gasp softly, and after he regained himself, you could feel his weight slightly shifting forwards as he returned the gesture, leaning against you.
After a moment - you wouldn't have minded if it had taken forever -, you both leaned back again, and you noticed a smile on Echo's face you hadn't seen before; he looked happy.
Now it was his turn to put his hand on your cheek, and he gently caressed your skin with his thumb. “Thank you for everything,” he said in return, his voice low but kind. You knew he meant those words, but you didn't realise how much you meant to him; you were the bright spot within the squad's mayhem, the light at the end of his tunnel, a beacon in his darkest days. And you had just brightened that light for him.
The noises in the hangar brought you back into reality, and when you noticed all the crates intended for the mission were gone, you chuckled: “Looks like Wrecker finished up.” The squad was probably waiting for the two of you. “Yeah, time to head out, I guess,” Echo replied, scratching his neck a bit awkwardly before getting to his feet.
He offered you his hand, and you gladly took it. He helped you get back on your feet before the both of you walked back to the ship, and you noticed how he gently put his hand on your back. You smiled at each other before boarding the Marauder, ready to see what the future would bring.

“It’s obnoxious is what it is.” Crosshair spat, biting down hard enough on his toothpick to snap it in two.
The source of his irritation was the scene unfolding amongst the men of the 501st. During another last-minute mission as General Skywalker's backup, you and Echo had settled in with your former squad before it was time to turn in for the night. Gathered in a loose circle were Echo, Rex, Jesse, Fives, Kix, and you, catching up while the Batch observed from a distance.
Perched on a crate, with Fives at your side leaning on an elbow and talking your ear off, you crossed your ankles and swayed your feet lightly, clearly enjoying the conversation. When Fives' hand casually landed on your thigh, emphasizing his point, Wrecker couldn't suppress a low groan.
"What's so special about those guys, anyway?" Wrecker grumbled, tossing a hand in your direction as a loud laugh escaped you. "I bet it's not even that funny!"
Paying as little attention to the situation as possible, Tech interjected, "There's nothing 'special' about them. It’s simply a shared history." He glanced up to see Fives stand a bit taller, gesturing animatedly as he dominated the conversation. Fives leaned closer to you, his hands gripping your knees for balance.
Logically, there was nothing wrong with their behavior. As Tech understood it, such comradery was not uncommon amongst the regs. Yet seeing you at the center of it set his teeth on edge.
Kix and Jesse had picked up on the Batch’s attitude the moment you stepped off the Marauder. Rex warmed up to the 99’s but the rest of the 501st maintained their distance. That distance solidified into distaste when you left the 501st to join the Batch.
As Rex and Echo broke away on their own, Jesse sidled up to your side, opposite of Fives, with Kix at his side. While Fives pulled every laugh out of you he could, Kix noticed the scowl Tech was leveling him and subtly nudged Jesse.
“Looks like we’ve got an audience.” Kix muttered.
Jesse glanced briefly towards the four Batch members who were watching intently. "Oh, really?" Jesse scoffed, his gaze sweeping over the group before returning to you with a renewed, cocky smile. “Well, then let’s give them something to look at.”
Hopping up next to you, Jesse leaned into your space to position behind your back and hovering over your waist. “Say, Shorty?” He finally interrupted Fives ramblings, getting the ARC trooper to push off of you.
“Oh!” You laughed. “Back to ‘Shorty’ are we?”
Fives crossed his arms and grinned, “Well, seeing as how you are shorter than us - you’ll always be a shorty to us.” He nodded towards his brothers at your side. You rolled your eyes, but the small smile tugging at you betrayed your enjoyment
Catching this, Jesse and Fives shared a knowing look, Fives briefly glancing at Jesse's hand still poised near your side. Fives then uncrossed his arms and nodded subtly.
“As I was saying…” Jesse continued, his tone teasing. “You ever get over that little twitch of yours?”
A confused look passed over you. With a small shake of your head you asked, “What ‘twitch?’”
Without warning, Jesse’s hand snapped to your side, his fingers wiggling into your ribs, eliciting a yelp as you jumped into him. In a desperate attempt to escape his tickling, you shimmied forward, laughing through the discomfort. The sudden movement toppled you off the crate, straight into Fives’ waiting arms. Without missing a beat, he caught you with one arm cradling your ass and the other holding you by your waist.
Jesse and Kix chuckled as you shoved against Fives, your feigned anger fooling no one. Kix leaned over to Jesse, musing, "Oh, they didn't like that one bit."
“Looks like someone should go lend them some comfort.” Jesse said sarcastically, sauntering off towards the four troopers.
From their side, the Batch watched on in disgust as you sat in Fives’ arms losing yourself in laughter. He hoisted you over his shoulder, bouncing you a couple of times for show, before setting you back on your feet.
"Show off," Hunter muttered under his breath, rolling his eyes as he turned from the spectacle. He gestured to his brothers with a brisk nod. "C'mon lads, let’s head inside." Despite the order, Tech, Wrecker, and Crosshair remained firmly in place as Jesse approached, his presence igniting further irritation.
A guttural growl rumbled from Crosshair as Jesse closed in, his tone playful yet provocative. "You're not heading out so soon, are you, fellas?" He jerked a thumb back in your direction, his grin sharp. "You’re missing all the fun over here."
“Oh goody.” Crosshair angled a mean smile at him, placing a toothpick between his lips. “Tell me, are all regs as dull as you?”
Maintaining his composure, Jesse leaned in slightly, his confidence unshaken. “With her smiling like that, I can’t say I’m too worried about being dull. We always kept her smiling. In fact, most nights with us ended with her being happy.” He casually rested a hand on his hip, his smirk widening. “Guess you fellas are only good with clankers.”
Tech, standing next to Crosshair, frowned deeply, his eyes flicking between the men of the 501st and you. His voice was sharp, clinical. “What exactly are you insinuating?”
Before Jesse could reply, Wrecker pushed forward, his massive frame towering as he stepped between his brothers. His voice was deep and menacing, each word dripping with threat., “Yeah, what are you in-sin-ua-ting?”
Jesse stepped closer, meeting the challenge and smirking up at the large clone. “I’m saying, we must’ve been doing something you aren't.” His gaze briefly flickering over to where you were mingling with others, finally realizing where Jesse had strayed off to. While he could, Jesse snuck in one more jab. “Guess Echo didn’t tell you everything. We were more than a squad to her.”
The implication ripped a growl from Crosshair, but before he could escalate the situation, your warm voice broke the tension. “You wouldn’t be causing trouble now, would you, Jesse?”
Jesse turned toward you with a feigned innocence, his chuckle light. “Of course not,” he replied smoothly. “Just catching them up on the old days.” As he clapped a hand on your shoulder and gave it a playful shake, he threw in, “Speaking of which, why don’t you bunk with us tonight, Shorty? It’ll be just like old times.”
His use of your nickname in front of your squad heated your face. From the noise Crosshair made, you were going to have trouble living that down.
With a laugh, you rolled his hand off your shoulder, your tone light but firm. “Oh, I don’t think so. I actually need to get some sleep.” You poked a finger into Jesse’s chest plate playfully yet pointedly. “Which I’m sure wouldn’t happen with your lot around.”
Wrecker's eyebrows flew up as he shot a look at Hunter, who wore a similarly stunned expression. They were just beginning to catch glimpses of your unfiltered self, and while they had suspected the men of the 501st were trying to rile them up, they never dreamt of the level of intimacy you just admitted to.
Seeing you banter so comfortably with the regs, with laughter and playful jabs, left the Batch glowering. For the first time in their lives, they were truly jealous of these regs. They were getting used to being the closest to you, the ones you leaned on during missions, and this unexpected side of you—closer with regs than them—struck a chord.
“Let’s go, lads.” Hunter ordered with a firmness that turned your head. You knew your squad was on edge with the regs, but Hunter sounded almost angry. He left without another word and his brothers trailed behind shortly after. Crosshair was the last to leave, flicking his toothpick past Jesse, barely missing his face.
Watching them retreat to the makeshift barracks adjacent to the 501st’s, you turned to Jesse, your expression one of exasperation. "What did you do?" you demanded.
Jesse put his hands up innocently, saying, “Not my fault your squad doesn’t like to share.”
Share? Weighing the worth of further questioning him against checking in with the Batch, you grumbled in frustration and pointed a warning finger at your former squadmate, “You’re just as bad.” Not allowing him to get under your skin as well you made for your barracks.
You walked in on the Batch quietly conversing, standing around Wrecker as he sat on a bottom bunk. Out of the lot, Tech and Wrecker turned slightly to see you walking in their direction. You gave a little wave as you neared. The conversation fell silent the nearer you got, widening your nervous smile. They are not happy, you inwardly groaned
Attempting to break the tension you said in a light tone, “Can’t believe we’re actually sleeping in the barracks.” Pulling up to the corner of Wrecker’s bunk, you leaned against the post, arms crossed. “Echo will be pleasantly surprised.”
Crosshair snorted, “It fits. He’s full of surprises.” His odd response, again, pinched your brows.
Widening your eyes and raising your brows in the awkward moment, you flared your fingers out around your arms. “Well, I’ll just pick a bunk.”
You pushed off the bunk only for Wrecker to catch you by the elbow and tug you into his lap, teetering on his thigh, with a hand at the small of your back.
You twisted in your spot to smile at Wrecker, who was looking unexpectedly bashful. “What’s all this?” They boys had only recently started toeing past physical boundaries, this was a bit of a jump for them. Further trying to dissipate the tension, you rocked into Wrecker with your hip. “Scared of sleeping alone suddenly?”
Wrecker swallowed hard, his eyes darting briefly to his brothers as if seeking support or reassurance.
Maintaining a polite, albeit confused, smile you followed his line of sight.. While Tech kept his nose in his datapad, Crosshair stepped up next to Hunter, prompting the Sergeant to step forward and take a knee in front of you.
Hunter's gaze was heavy as he took a deep breath, then slowly lifted his eyes to meet yours. The intensity there caused you to catch and hold your breath, something going taut between you.
"We've been thinking," Hunter began, his voice cautious, as if testing the waters. His hand gently came to rest over your knee, his touch causing you to straighten instinctively, pressing you further into Wrecker’s lap. Until then, you had almost forgotten your position with Wrecker, but his large hand then settled more firmly around your waist.
The dual sensation of their touches sent a shiver through you, a subtle tremble that Wrecker evidently felt too, eliciting a soft, strained noise from him.
“There’s something we’d like to do for you.” Hunter smiled, his hand sliding north of your knee.
You went stock still, eyes blown wide as Hunter leaned in. You shot a look at Crosshair to find him twirling a toothpick between his fingers with a satisfied smile. Next to him, Tech caught your eyes. Where Hunter’s eyes had stilled you, Tech’s thrilled you. You were happy to be seated with Wrecker, because having Tech’s full attention made you feel weak.
“What’s that?” You asked, voice just above a whisper, as you broke away from Tech to find Hunter still watching you. You heart jumped into your throat when Hunter’s thumb smoothed over your inner thigh.
“Have you ever thought about-” Hunter paused, clearing his throat to cover up his hesitation. Slowly and calmly he started again, “Have you ever thought about spending the night with us?”
“I already-”
“Think a little harder.” Crosshair cut you off with an amused tune. Your eyes snapped to Crosshair and, somehow, the arrogance in his stance filled you in on Hunter’s meaning. Heat flared through you, flushing your face so quickly you knew even your ears were red.
On more than one occasion you’d found release lost in the fantasy of being the center of their attention. Every time you witnessed them sans armor you had to manually breathe through professionalism.
Again you looked to Hunter, pulling your bottom lip between your teeth with a slow nod. Hunter dipped his head, hiding the way his smile widened. Barely lifting his head, he chuffed and followed up with, “Would you like to spend tonight with us?”
You were able to swallow the whine in your throat enough to nod another affirmative. Hunter opened his mouth but was interrupted by Tech.
“That will not suffice.” Both you and Hunter looked to Tech for clarification. Tech adjusted his goggles but shook his head. “If this is something you want, you will need to agree to what we are asking verbally.” Your legs squeezed together at Tech’s stern tone.
You felt Hunter’s gaze shift back to you, but you eyes were trained on Tech. A smile, wobbly and excited, fluttered over your lips. “Yes,” Heat pooled between your legs, you squirmed in Wrecker’s lap, and you said. “I want to spend the night the night with you guys.”
Wrecker’s other hand found your side, firming his grip to hold you in place. He laughed through his nerves, “Watch it with that.”
Suddenly, you became very aware of where you were seated in his lap. Pushed back over his knee, just an inch or so from his crotch. If you twisted even the slightest you’d pressed him. With intent, you carefully turned into him to offer a smile. As Wrecker groaned against the pressure of your leg you offered a half-assed apology.
Wrecker took one look at you and crashed his lips into yours. A moment of shock hit you before your started moving against him, melting into the feel of his tongue against yours. When Wrecker leaned you back and deepened the kiss, a little needy noise escaped you
It was enough for Crosshair to kick Wrecker’s foot.  “Ease up.” Crosshair. Wrecker did indeed ease up, breaking the kiss and leaving you dazed and panting in his eyes.
“Sorry,” He chuckled, lifting a thumb to wipe your lips dry. “Got a lil excited there.”
All you could manage was a hum as he righted you in his lap. Hunter tilted his head back, his smile turning into a challe, “You sure wanna do this?”
You answered by sliding from Wrecker’s knee onto his, slipping your arms around his neck, and stopping just as your lips hovered over his. Lightly squeezing his thigh between yours, you said on a breath. “I’ll only say it once more. I want this.” Grinding onto him, you added. “Badly.”
Catching his lips in a slow kiss, you moved with his hands as they found your hips and pressed you harder onto his knee. With every brush of your clit against him, an ache, hot and desperate, grew in your core. The sound of shuffling armor only reached you as Hunter tapped your thigh, easing you back into reality. “Let’s get you out of those clothes.”
Eager to continue as quickly as possible, you bounced off of Hunter’s knee to make quick work of your attire. By the time you were down to your underthings they were all down to their blacks in some way. Tech’s was still zipped up, Crosshair and Hunter had theirs stripped to the waist, and Wrecker was stepping out of his.
Just the sight of them fully dressed was enough to fluster you, finally seeing them bare made you feel downright feral.
Wrecker stepped over to you, his already erect cock swaying with him. Your mouth went dry at his size, though it was fitting for a man of his stature. He tilted his head with a grin and gestured for the bunk behind you.
As you sat, you came face to face with his massive member before he dropped to a knee. The idea of taking him first, after not having anyone for a long time, thrilled you as much as it intimidated you. A warm body pressed against your back as a pair of long legs, still dressed in black, appeared on either side of you.
Wrecker hooked his fingers into your panties and pulled them off as Tech, in a low tone, said into your ear, “He’s going to warm you up.”
The chill his voice sent through you hit at the same time Wrecker’s tongue slid over you. Arching into Tech, you whined as Wrecker picked up a steady pace of long flat licks that ended with covering your clit with his mouth.
Tech wormed a hand between your bodies to discard your bra and give him access to your chest. Gloved hands cupped around your breasts, gently tracing the shape of them before rolling your nipples between his fingers.
Your entire body tensed as Tech played with your nipples. From between your legs, Wrecker chuckled as he slid his middle finger into you, “Oh, she likes that.” The ache Hunter had ignited grew as Wrecker kissed and sucked on your clit while working his finger into you.
“Is it true that you enjoy this?” Tech asked, applying more pressure as you writhed against him.
“Yes,” You barely managed to pant as you quickly reached your peak. “I do, I do, I-”
As you tightened around Wrecker’s finger, he suddenly broke away from you, leaving you empty and at the painful edge of release. “Not yet.” Wrecker left a kiss on your inner thigh as you grabbed to pull him back, only stopped by Tech holding you against him.
“Not yet.” Tech repeated sternly, again stilling you with his voice in your ear.
Wrecker stood as Tech slid out from behind you. Wrecker took his place, positioning you on top of his lap to spread your knees with his. Taking his finger, still wet with you, he traced your slit all the way to your ass. You were starting to tense at the sensation when Wrecker cooed as he slid his finger into you. “Don’t worry, I gotcha.”
Spread wide as Wrecker fingered you, Hunter could see how badly you ached to be filled. With each stroke of Wrecker’s finger, you visibly clenched. Hunter finally released the length of him when you pressed a hand over your mouth to restrain a moan.
Crosshair stepped in to pull your hand away, letting the tail end of your noises loose. “They could hear.” You whined louder than you wanted.
Crosshair held your face in his hand, angling you to face him. With a hand braced on the top bunk, Crosshair leaned down to your eye level. Sucking on a tooth, he smirked as his eyes roamed your writhing form. Meeting your gaze again he gave you a gentle shake as he practically purred, “Then let’s give them something to listen to.”
He’d distracted you enough that Hunter’s sliding into between your legs startled you. Crosshair released your face when Hunter’s cock made contact with you. You leaned forward for a glimpse of him. His swollen head slid over you until he brushed up passed your clit. Precum leaked from him and slid down to mix with your own wetness. Hunter traced you a few times before he tipped your chin up.
Lined up with you, Hunter asked, “Ready?” Wrecker buried his finger in you as they both waited for your answer.
“Hunter, please.” You quickly whined, bracing your hand on his shoulders, truly desperate to be filled with him.
Hunter leaned in and rolled his hips into you, slowly breaching you until he was completely inside. “You feel,” Huntered groaned, “So good.” As he started pulling out, Wrecker timed his fingers with him.
Standing within reach of you, Crosshair pulled himself free of his blacks as he watched on. Your attention only pulled away from where you and Hunter were joined when you caught sight of Crosshair stroking himself.
Your noises grew in volume as the Hunter and Wrecker filled you over and over. Only a few strokes in and your toes were already curlling. Feeling your sudden grip, Hunter fully sheathed himself in you as Wrecker left you empty.
“You good?” Hunter asked in a strained voice as he throbbed within you.
You nodded, a blissful smile flashing over you. “Really good.”
Beneath you, Wrecker squirmed to reposition himself, even raising you out of his way as he did. You heard Wrecker spit but couldn’t tell what on. Hunter pulled you against him for support as Wrecker pressed up against your ass and slid over its entrance. You tried to whip around but Hunter held you firm.
Pressing a kiss into your neck, Hunter mumbled, “Tell us to stop and we will.”
While Wrecker waited, throbbing against you, Hunter lightly rocked his hips, moving just enough to rub into your cervix. You watched Crosshair’s head angle to get a view of your ass, then your heaving chest, before settling back on your eyes. He continued stroking himself, smirk growing as a needy expression flooded you.
You swallowed hard when precum spilled out of Crosshair’s cock. “Keep going.” You moaned, granting Wrecker the permission to pull you down onto him. Your body went taught when the flare of his glans pushed past your threshold. Inhaling, you whined and waited for more of Wrecker.
You only waited a second longer before you were grinding yourself over him, not only taking more of Wrecker but grinding farther onto Hunter. “That’s a good girl.” Wrecker sighed happily as he leaned back on one hand and supported your ass as you moved over him.
The two of them had you completely filled, stretching you in a way that made you see stars. You knew you’d never be the same after feeling this. Hunter angled your hips enough that each thrust pushed into your G-spot. Each of their thrusts had you whimpering louder as you felt the ache in your core tighten.
Giving your ass cheek a firm grasp, Wrecker’s head fall back in ecstacy. It took everything in him to not move faster and push harder into you. He wanted to feel you make you come completely undone around him, break apart for him even, but he sat back and let you pleasure yourself on him.
Eyes still on Crosshair, you extended an open hand to him, urging him closer. The sniper snorted but obliged you, giving you full access to his body. Resting back on Wrecker, you let Hunter take over the rhythm as you pulled Crosshair closer.
Swiping a thumb over Crosshair’s slit, his precum spilled over you. Crosshair ran a hand over your hair and around to your jawline. “Of course that’s not enough for you,” Crosshair mused. His cock, thick in your hand, had a small patch of silver hair at its base you brushed as you pumped your hand over him.
Each deliberate move of your hand challenged Crosshair’s composure. He clenched his jaw to hide the pleasure he felt. His resolve cracked as his eyes fluttered and he leaned in to your grasp.
The rare sight of Crosshair’s softened features made you whimper and writhe in Hunter’s hold. Your tightening grip rushed Hunter to his limit. He rested his forehead in the crook of your neck. “Mesh’la, keep doing that and I won’t last much longer.”
Allowing himself a few shallow thrusts, Wrecker groaned, “I’m right there too.” He’d barely gotten the words out when Wrecker groaned loudly, pumping hard into you as he throbbed and lost control.
Hunter picked up his pace until he quickly pulled out and, a second later, coated you in cum. His hips kept rocking against you, rubbing over your clit and fueling the ache in your core. “Right there, right there.” You encouraged him as he kept moving over you until completely emptied himself.
With Wrecker still throbbing inside you, paired with the sudden pressure on your clit, your orgasm hit you hard. It wracked your body until your legs quivered. Fucked into an euphoric state, you leaned towards Crosshair, still aching for pleasure. You’d never dreamt this would be a reality and you were quickly becoming greedy.
“Easy now,” Wrecker murmured and, as gently as he could, eased out of you. Without him and Hunter, you felt emptier than ever before.
Hunter scooted back enough to sit back on his knees, panting and pushing his hair back out of his face. He watched as Wrecker pressed a kiss to your shoulder and helped you crawl over his legs to face Crosshair.
Prying your mouth open with a thumb, Crosshair hummed down to you, “If you want a taste, you better do it quickly.” A chill ran down your spine as Crosshair pulled you by your mouth, guiding you to the tip of his cock.
You stuck your tongue out to swirl around his head. He hissed as you eagerly took him into your mouth, bobbing over him and swiping your tongue side to side as you did. As promised, Crosshair only allowed you a small taste of him before pulling you off him.
He knelt to your eye level, crouching on the balls of his feet, to ask, “Do you want more?”
Your brows pulled together and a lazy smile lifted your lips. “I want you, Crosshair.”
Crosshair stilled for a moment, something striking a chord in him. His eyes quickly scanned yours before he caught your lips in a fast, hurried kiss. He broke the kiss just enough to murmur against your lips, “On your knees.”
The sniper helped you to your feet and got you onto the neighboring bunk. He guided you onto your hands and knees, facing his brothers. There was no teasing nor dragging out the moment. No, Crosshair immediately lined himself up with you, leaned over to cage you in his arms, and whispered, “I’ve wanted to do this for a long time.”
In one smooth thrust, Crosshair buried himself inside of you, immediately taking up a steady pace as he fucked you into the bunk. Crosshair draped himself over you, sneaking a hand around you and right to the apex of your thighs.
“Incoming.” Tech chimed from across the room.
Crosshair held you in place as the barracks door swooshed open and Echo walked in. A drop of panic hit your stomach when Echo’s sweeping look found you. Confused, horror overtook the cyborg and as he hurried over.
Nearly stumbling over Hunter, still regaining his composure on the floor, Echo ripped around to you. “Crosshair, what do you think you are doing?!”
Crosshair pushed off of you, straightening to posture over you and face Echo. Using your hips as leverage, Crosshair slowed his pace and confidently answered, “Whatever what she wants.”
Echo’s expression went stunned as he knelt in front of you. Slightly dazed, flushed, and cum covered, you tucked your face into the mattress in a rush of embarrassment. Still, you whined each time Crosshair’s hips hit yours.
Echo reached a concerned hand out, encouraging you to lift yourself again. His eyes searched yours, but you were too far gone to do anything but reach for the man in front of you. You ran your hand as far down Echo’s torso as you could and turned to press a kiss into his palm. “Echo.” His name came out on a moan that brought heat to his cheeks.
“Looks like there is something else she wants.” Crosshair chuckled behind you. He leaned back over you, bringing his mouth to your ear but holding Echo’s stare. “Why don’t you tell Echo what you want?”
You could barely think through Crosshair’s relentless thrusting and the rhythm of his fingers. “Echo.” His eyes slid to you to catch you kissing his hand again. “I want to taste you.” Licking the length of his hand, you wrapped your mouth around his forefinger.
Echo had been growing hard from the moment he saw your bare skin until the softness of your mouth got him instantly hard. Glancing between you, Echo kept an eye on the hand still reaching for him and slowly brought his hips to meet your touch.
As you pried off his codpiece with one hand, Echo assisted in pulling himself out of his underlayer.
You pulled Echo by his thigh so that he overshadowed your face. Starting at his base, where his balls met his shaft, you flattened your tongue and ran it up the length of him. Reaching his tip, you steadied him with your hand.
Echo mumbled under a grunt as you moved your mouth over him, “Oh, stars.”
The taste of Echo narrowed your focus on him, seeking to hear his pleasure. When Crosshair heard your own muffled moans, felt them with his chest against your back, he lifted off you. He traced a finger down your spine, feeling you arch into his touch as he went.
Echo was still adjusting to the reality he’d walked into when you started working your hand in tandom with your mouth. His hand flew to your head, his fingers threading into your hair. He couldn’t help himself as he kept his hand firm and met your rhythm with his own. You slackened into him as he pushed against the back of your throat.
The way you twitched around Crosshair, pulled a moan from him. Sensing your little struggle as you tried to take more of Echo, Crosshair again reached for your clit. “Relax.” He whispered as his hand made lazy circles around you.
Sliding off of Echo you swallowed and looked up to find him watching you with wide eyes and mouth slightly open. You didn’t look away as you opened wider and took him into your mouth. With a deep breath you relaxed as best you could and pushed him to the back of your throat. Moaning around him you pressed on until you felt him squeeze down your throat.
A moan, breathless and low, finally escaped Echo and he held you fast against him. The sounds you’d worked so hard for twisted that familiar ache in your core. Your eyes watered against the pressure as his cock twitched in your throat. You tasted him spilling inside you as he came undone.
Crosshair grunted, shuddering as you clenched down on him. Unwilling to finish before you did, Crosshair focused his touch on your clit into light, fast strokes.
You tapped Echo repeatedly until he pulled his softening cock out of you. Gasping for air your fell onto your elbows, head hanging over the side of the bunk. Face down, ass up you sounded on the verge of tears as you warbled, “Cross, I can’t. I’m gonna-”
His thrusts become long, slow, and angled right into the soft spot inside you. “Go on then.” Crosshair urged you on. “We all want to hear you.”
The low tone of his voice finished you. Your eyes rolled back and you cried out as you lost yourself in Crosshair’s hold. He continued pushing you through your release as long as he could until Crosshair had to pull out. Gripping your hips tight, he thrust one final time against you and sent ropes of his cum down your back. In the throws of his own pleasure, his groans matched yours in volume.
It took a few moments for your both to settle back into the present. Your legs were so weak that you were at Crosshair’s mercy to keep you upright. He felt you relax and sag into his him, prompting him to gently lay you to rest on your side. He brushed your hair out of your face, letting you look up at him without moving your head.
He watched you pant a second longer, swallowed and asked, “You okay?”
A little smile came to you. You coughed out an affirmative hum, and warmly croaked, “More than okay.”
Echo came around to your side, looking over you with concern. “What can we do?”
“Relax.” Hunter, already half dressed, came behind Echo and gestured casually towards another area. “Tech’s on it.” His gaze softened as he smiled down at you over Echo’s shoulder. “You really are something.”
His praise sent a wave of warmth through you, though you could only muster a pleasant hum in response, your energy still recovering.
“Tech’s gonna help you get cleaned up. That okay with you?” Hunter waved someone, presumably Tech, over.
Taking a deep breath, you raised onto your elbow. Tech was indeed inbound carrying some supplies and still full dressed. Suddenly you felt as bare as you were. You couldn’t look away, but gave Hunter the nod he and Crosshair needed to step away.
“C’mon boys, let’s give her some privacy.”
Echo looked you over once more, nodded and followed his brothers lead.
Soon it was just you and Tech in the quiet. For most of what happened, you’d lost track of Tech. Who had, by the looks of it, had steered completely clear of the scene.
Tech settled down next to you, placing a stack of necessities beside your head—clothes, towels, all topped with a bowl of water. You pushed yourself up to a sitting position with one hand, inspecting the items he had brought. “Thank you,” you mumbled shyly, the simple kindness in his preparation bringing some softness you very much needed.
“Sit up.” Tech instructed as he brought the water closer. You followed his order, positioning yourself with your back slightly turned. Looking over your shoulder, you watched Tech dip a small towl in the water before bringing it to your shoulder.
The towel was cool against your flushed skin. Jumping you said through a chill, “That’s cold, Tech.”
“You do not want warm water for this.” Tech said matter-of-factly. “Heat will denature the proteins in the se-”
“Oh! I didn’t know that.” You said quickly, cutting him off while also doing terrible job at covering your embarassment.
Tech rotated between wiping your back and ringing out the towel. When silence again fell over you, Tech asked softly. “Are you in any pain?”
You thought for a moment, doing a mental sweep of your body, and replied, “No, I’m okay.” You squeezed your eyes shut hearing yourself stuttering your words.
Tech immediately questioned you again, “Are you having regrets?”
You flinched to turn around, but kept your back to him. “No.” You replied softly. It went quiet again as Tech did a final swipe of your back.
“Now turn around.” Tech swapped out the towel for a fresh one as you slowly turned to face him.
Again, Tech dampened the cloth and brought it to your skin, the cool touch hitching your breath. As his hands carefully wiped your skin, he observed your slow, controlled breathing. His eyes darted to yours.
“You are uncharacteristically silent.” Tech noted bluntly with no follow up theory as to why.
Shoving your nerves to a manageable level, you blurted out, “Why didn’t you join?”
Tech’s hand stilled, but he kept your gaze for a beat. Moving to dampen the towel, he followed it with his eyes. He shrugged, saying, “Not really my thing.”
Your stomach dropped at his simple dismissal. Under your breath you said, “Oh.”
You kept watching Tech as he brought the towel back to your chest. When it came time to wipe your breast, Tech found your gaze again. He flattened his hand under the cloth and ran his whole hand over your breast, his thumb catching on your nipple.
A brazen surg hit you and you pushed, “So, I’m not really your thing?”
Tech pulled back slightly with his hand wiping you. Raising a brow he asked cautiously, “My thing?”
Despite slightly regretting your line of questioning, your fingers fidgeted together as you clarified, “As in, you’re not interested in being with me.”
His wariness faded as he focused back on his work, again rinsing the towel. “That… is not entirely accurate.” He lowered the towel down between your breasts to your stomach. He wore a cocky smile as he said, “Besides, something such as after care requires a more delicate touch.”
You caught his hand before he made it to your navel. “Then what would be entirely accurate?”
Tech looked up through his goggles, his lip pulling to the side as he weighed what to say next. He wanted to make sure he was indeed being entirely accurate as he confessed, “I’m not interested in being with you in the company of others.”
His insinuation caught you off guard. Sitting a little more upright, your angled your head for a better view of those brown eyes. “So… you do want me?”
Tech’s head sagged slightly as he deadpanned. “Well, of course I do.” In your surprise, you released Tech’s hand and allowed him to finish wiping you down.
Steeling yourself against the warmth following his touch, you prodded further, “What if it was just you and I?”
Missing the subtlety behind you question, Tech simply replied, “That would be different for me.”
“It’s just you and I now, Tech,” You reminded him, voice barely above a whisper.
He was mid rinse when he heard you. The thought caused him to pause only for a moment before he wrung the towel out and turned back to you. Tech didn’t move to touch you. Instead, he muttered, “I did consider that, but I was not certain such an arrangment would interest you.”
Unable to let the chance pass, you grabbed Tech’s wrist again and flat out admitting, “It very much interests me.”
His attention fell to your hold on him for a moment. Gently he pulled out of your hand, moving the cool towel between your legs. Leaning closer as the fabric met your skin, Tech asked, “Does it interest you right now?”
“Well, of course it does.” You repeated his words in an impression of him. He hadn’t anticipated the sudden playfulness in your voice, but it brought a small smile to Tech.
Carefully, he wiped you clean, noting the movement in your face as he found every sensitive bit. When he was satisifed with his work, Tech set all the items he brought on the floor. He sat in front of you, one leg over the side of the bunk, and adjusted his goggles as he took in the full view of you. “You are beautiful," He marveled.
You got to your knees and scooted closer. With bated breath you asked what you've wanted to for weeks, “Can I kiss you?”
Tech blinked once, then twice before responding, “Given the circumstances, that wouldn’t be unwarranted.” There was a hint of sarcasm in his voice that forced a smile from you.
Your reaction pulled a mirrored smile from Tech that had crawling into his lap. With no restraint, you moved in to kiss him. Pecking him with feverish kisses, Tech quickly relaxed into your rhythm to deepen the sensation. It seemed he'd been waiting just as long as you.
His hands slid around to your back and tugged you against him. You held Tech’s face in your hands and ran your tongue across his bottom lip. It took little coaxing for Tech to give you access to his mouth, eagerly meeting your tongue with his.
You sat intertwined, blissfully lost in the taste of each other and comfortable in each other’s hold. Tech hardened beneath you and the angle your were sat on Tech had your crotch directly against his. The realization hit you both at the same time as started moving against one another.
The friction of his blacks made the pressure between your legs that much more mind numbing. Moaning into your kiss, you retreated a fraction with Tech chasing your lips. “Get out of this.” You managed to say.
Tech straightened himself while keeping you in his lap and his mouth on yours. Without breaking away from you, he peeled out of his blacks. Only when he couldn’t budge them farther did Tech pull away. You both were desperate for air, but more desperate for each other.
Dodging Tech’s hands, you helped him the rest of the way out of the clothing and hurried back into his lap. Tech leaned back against the bed post when you were saddled on top of him. With Tech’s assistance you raised yourself over him. The natural curve of his cock allowed you to line up with him without your hands.
You tried to lower yourself, but Tech’s hand on your ass held you in place. “May I record this?”
Without question you nodded. After he tapped the side of his goggles, he returned your nod and released his hold on you.
As soon as he eased up you sunk onto him. The sudden fullness of him immediately brightening your smile. Tech firmed his grip on your back, pulling you and your clit against his abdomen. “I’d like you to start slow.”
You gave in to his request, supporting yourself on his shoulders as you patiently rolled your hips. He had you pressed against him in a way that constantly stimulated you, sending more warmth between your legs. When he felt what it did to you, heard his name on your tongue, he started moving beneath you, saying almost in warning, “I’m going to move faster.”
Tech was stronger than you'd imagined, effortlessly sliding you over him and thrusting into you from below. The pace at which you moved against each other, completely intertwined, quickly sent you into delirium. He pressed against you in every way, against the walls of your pussy and the ache in your clit. By the grip you had on Tech, there was no hiding your rising ecstasy.
“That-” Tech grunted out, leaning you further so you were completely against him. “Must feel good.” His tone was confident, arrogant even and it made you want to fuck him until he couldn’t speak.
Still, your new position gave Tech the leverage he needed to find your G-spot. As he grazed it, you cried out his name, encouraging him to maintain that specific angle. “Tech! Keep going right there, please.” Your encouragement ended in pleading.
Doing exactly as you asked, Tech held you in place and drilled into you. Keeping a careful, steady rhythm that in moments took you right to the edge of an orgasm and shoved you right over.
You couldn’t speak as you shook in Tech’s arms. Every inch of you quaked as a softer wave of heat spread through you. Lolling against Tech, he held you close and he rocked you both forward.
Still seated inside you, Tech rested you onto your back with your legs hooked behind him. Turning your cheek with a kiss, Tech exposed your neck. He pumped into you while he trailed kisses to your ear.
“This is the only way I’ll have you.” Tech purred into your ear. You locked your ankles and pulled Tech deeper inside you. Tech noticably throbbed and chuckled softly, “That is not going to help me last.”
You used your legs as leverage to move over him, humming, “Good, I don’t want you to.”
Tech pulled back to flash you smirk. “In that case…” He rested a elbow by your head, held you by your waist and pulled out to thrust back into you. “I’m already close. You need to tell me where you want me.”
Feeling him deep inside you made it an easy decision. You pressed him with another kiss as you said, “Inside.”
Tech rocked hard into you, thoroughly filling you as he came inside you. The two of you settled into each other, spent and panting through mutual trembling.
“Well,” Tech took a deep breath and pushed up over you. “Let’s get cleaned up.”
After all the heat died down and you were all in fresh clothes, you laid out on your cot with an arm over your eyes. In their respective cots, Crosshair and Echo lounged on the edge of sleep while Wrecker and Hunter and Tech were quietly chatting.
Before the night ended you had one last relentless question.
Popping up on an elbow, you looked towars the still awake men. “Hunter?” You singled out the leader. Once you caught his eye you asked, “What caused all that?” The silence that fell pulled a suspicious smile from you.
With his back to you, Crosshair snorted, broadening your smile. You laughed and asked again, “What?”
Wrecker groaned, rolling his head back. “It was the regs.”
Echo immediately perked up, twisting to exchange a look with you. “What about them?” Echo asked warily.
Hunter sighed, “Jesse told us about how they used to…” He took a deep breath and rolled his hand as he continued, “Make you happy, let’s say.”
“And Echo knew.” Wrecker grumbled.
“Wait-” You and Echo tried interjecting, but Tech cut in.
“Not to mention you said how you wouldn’t get any sleep with them.”
When the dots connected for you, you covered your mouth, hung open, with a hand but couldn’t back the laugh that bubbled out of you.
From his cot, Echo covered his face with a groan, “Oh, no.”
Even Crosshair now sat up, exchanging confused looks with Tech, Wrecker, and Hunter.
Crosshair glanced at you and with an annoyed undertone he asked, “What?” He clearly did not like being on the outside of whatever you and Echo knew.
You shook your head and couldn’t fully answer through your laughter. “I never…”
Echo waved his prosthetic in the direction of the wall shared with the 501st. “We never did any of that. Jesse was just getting under your skin.” He groaned again, looking upwards and  begging the Force for help. Gesturing in your direction he added, “And we wouldn’t get any sleep because they’d never stop yapping.”
You took deep breaths to settle down as Crosshair started chuckling.
“In retrospect, that is the more plausible option.” Tech said, shocked Jesse got the better of him.
Collapsing on your bunk, you called out warmly, “For the record, I am much happier as a part of this squad.”
Crosshair got the last word in, scoffing the last of his humor away, “Better be.”

Pairing: Tech x Fem!Reader (our lovely medic line) Warnings: female insults, gross man being a jerk to reader, violence, cursing, Mando'a cursing, fluff, not proof read I just needed to get it out as my mourning, nothing else I don't think Word Count: 4.5k Summary: Needing something from town, you're stuck with going with Tech, as everyone else is busy. You're not used to his response when a man decides to be rude to you.
Requests are open if you have anything you'd like to send in!
______________________________
"Echo," your mirthful voice reverberated around the walls of the Maruader as you laughed, "please?"
Laughing at your shameful display as you childishly hung off of the man's shoulder, playfully pouting at him with eyes as wide as a loth kitten. He chided you with an amusingly stern use of your name, dragging you alongside him as he walked down the gangplank, "I've already told you that I can't go with you into town. I'd love to but I have to help Hunter gather the rations and make sure we have enough for the next trip."
Whining dramatically, you pull at his hand, "I can wait! Really! I'll even help count so it'll go quicker!" Though you tried your most convincing grin, hoping your innocent tone would win him over as it had multiple times before, the Arc trooper shook his head.
"Sorry, sarad, no can do." His simple decline made you groan in frustration and drop his hand indignantly but he continued, "It's already getting late, anyway, the sun'll be gone before we even finish counting. Why don't you see if Tech will go with you?"
At the mention of the clever clone, your cheeks immediately warmed and you pulled away from Echo a bit in fear he might catch your sudden change. "I-I'm sure he's busy...he's always busy with some kinda tinkering." Your mumbled response was met with a raised brow from the cybernetic clone before you, his trained eye-catching the evergrowing red color staining your cheeks. Though the planet had a warmer temperature than some others the Batch had stopped on recently, Echo knew this couldn't have affected you so suddenly. You noticed his scrutinizing squint and quickly tried to move the subject elsewhere, "Maybe Wrecker or Cross could go with-"
With another shake of his head, a knowing grin starting to grow over his pale lips, arms crossing over his armored chest, Echo interrupted you, "Busy with rearranging the cargo hold so Tech doesn't get rid of their explosives again." Then he smirked at your obvious dilemma, "Besides, I'm sure that if you ask him, Tech'll set whatever he's doing aside. He seems to like you more than any of the rest of us."
Stammering at Echo's teasing, you fumbled with a response. He couldn't be serious, right? Tech was nice, of course, he was just as nice as any of the others- just in his own way.
The way that sent butterflies screaming into your stomach...
The way that made your hands tremble sometimes when he forgot about the social decency of personal space...
Tech was nice in the way that you adored and couldn't get enough of even when you'd been around him for hours upon hours, even when his brothers wanted to strangle him.
"Uh, w-well, I don't-" You started as Echo tapped his chin with his scomp-link, in thought when footsteps from the gangplank sounded.
Walking down a step at a time, Tech emerged, face ever plastered to his datapad. A miniscule glance was sent from Echo to you then back to the device in his hands. "I heard whining from the pilot's seat," he began, his precise tone sounding uninvested as it typically did when he was observing a situation unbiasedly.
Echo grinned over at Tech, "Just the clone we were looking for," he praised with a welcoming wave of his scomp. "Our dear medic here is in dire need of heading into town and no one has any time to go with her."
As soon as Echo mentioned you needing to go into town, Tech put away his datapad, eyes meeting yours. "It would seem I am currently unimpeded by any projects that require my immediate attention, for the time being, that is." He stepped further down the gangplank, standing in the unoccupied space before you and Echo. "An appropriate solution would be that I accompany you into the nearby town."
Echo slowly turned his head to meet your red face, smirking proudly at you, "It would be, wouldn't it?" He chuckled at your incredulous expression, then looked back at the taller clone. "Then make it quick the two of you, it's going to be getting dark soon and I'm sure the town isn't the best place to be, even for us." He rested his hand on Tech's shoulder, walking back up the gangplank to head inside the ship, momentarily turning around to salute you with a wink.
You stood there for a second in disbelief, trying to understand how the situation left you with just Tech....alone.
"I cannot believe him." You muttered to yourself under your breath, shaking your head.
"He is correct, actually" Tech interjected into your thoughts, causing you to start a bit, forgetting his proximity. Looking up to see him fixing his goggles on his face more comfortably, you noticed the way his brown eyes caught the sun, as light snuck behind the frames to speckle the golden hues decorating them. "The town we are heading to is known for its rather," he searched around the area for the appropriate word, "sordid, is perhaps the best term I can use for it. We would be safer grabbing what it is you need quickly, then returning at a proper pace." His explanation continued but you began to get lost in your own thoughts, admiring the man before you. It seemed to happen, sometimes, that you would find yourself marveling at how someone who was supposed to be a clone- "defective" or otherwise- was so uniquely designed. However, no matter how smart Tech was, he was so clueless of his beauty (unlike Hunter who was exhaustively aware of his looks). The way his freckles brushed over the thin bridge of his nose to paint his tanned cheeks. The way his honeyed eyes were just a few shades brighter than his brothers, the way the light lingered in them even after all was dark. He was oblivious to how handsome he looked when he raised that one eyebrow in challenge, or when one of his brothers said something entirely incorrect. He was just as strong, just as well adept in battle, as any of his brothers (other than Wrecker), but he had the added allure of his intelligence that made you fall that much quicker. Tech's straightforward behavior, the endearing seriousness, his misconception of certain social cues, and the way his heart was still as open as any of the others- more so, you could argue- just made cherishing him so much easier.
A gentle call of your name caught you off-guard and you shook your head to refocus. "Hmm? Yes?"
Tech's face had grown adorably perplexed as he searched yours inquisitively. "I had asked if you were ready to leave, though I was met with only your vacant expression. Are you alright?"
A burning crept up your neck as you blinked dumbly at the clone trooper, "Y-yep! I'm perfectly fine!" You winced at the crack in your voice, hoping that if he asked any further questions you could blame some of it on the slightly elevated temperature of the planet.
Tech seemed gracious, or oblivious, enough to move on from the situation and nodded at your reply. "Then I suppose we should leave," he gestured for you to go ahead of him, "after you, mesh'la."
-
Once in town, you had noticed quickly what Tech had meant about the town being a little less desirable. The people seemed to even shy away from one another from time to time, going about their own business and then skittering away.
Tech kept a close pace behind you, placing himself directly behind your shoulder, his impressive height becoming even more pronounced. People seemed content to avoid the two of you and you hadn't noticed any issues with the trip so far until you felt Tech press himself further into your back, the smooth front of his chest piece cramming into your shoulder blade. "Tech?"
You glanced up as you continued forward, noting how his eyes narrowed behind his goggles, analyzing something further into the crowd. If you hadn't been in what seemed like a rather precarious situation- based on his current manner- you would find his closeness thrilling and unusual, but by his squared shoulders, you knew he was locked onto something questionable. "Apologies for my proximity." He spoke in a low, curt tone, eyes never meeting yours.
"Is...everything alright?" You questioned, trying to look around the crowd of people to see whatever was bothering the trooper.
Tech hummed in response, the rumble of his chest shaking through his armor and into your shoulder. "Our safety is secured for the present moment. Though it would be wise for my presence to be as near to you as comfortably possible for the duration of our outing."
You hadn't been out by yourself very many times with just Tech, possibly a time a two, but any time you had been it was always causal and friendly places. You'd seen Echo, Wrecker, or Hunter get protective in the face of social danger when you'd gone out with them before and it seemed like an evident connection to make that Tech (or even Crosshair) would've as well even though it hadn't been something you'd actually thought about before. However, now, you couldn't stop the way your heart ached at Tech's rapid transition from relaxed to defensive, the strong line of his jaw the first thing you caught sight of whenever you glanced up to make sure he was still on the lookout.
"Alright," you rushed out, "I'll be quick then. Sorry for the hassle, I didn't expect there to be an actual problem." Any more guilt you had been about to express died when you felt a large hand on the other shoulder blade, the warmth spreading through your entire body.
"Your apology is unwarranted. You required something, it is only sensible that one of us accompany you for protection. Although you are a reputable member of the GAR whom I have seen manage precarious situations rather exceptionally, I am certain every one of us would prefer to maintain your safety as much as we are capable." Tech finally glanced down to give you the slightest hint of a smile, accompanied by a reassuring nod. "Please, continue."
"Th-Thanks," was all you could dumbly reply as you tore your eyes away from the clone to search around for any pop-up stand that had what you had dragged Tech out here to get. It was some form of balm that you had needed to add to your collection for healing cuts and scrapes that the GAR hadn't entirely said was a part of the standard order of supplies but it worked as a wonderful substitute for bacta. It didn't take much longer to find a stand that was selling medical salves and the like, though the warmth of Tech's steady touch- whether from his chest or his hand- distracted you desperately.
While shopping through the procured items laid out, you felt Tech's hand fall away from your shoulder and a voice that was unknown to you spoke. "Listen goggles," the gruff man spoke, "just walk away from the woman and nobody has to get hurt, alright?"
As you began to turn, you were met with Tech's broad back blocking you as his hand came behind him to tuck you closer. "I regret to inform you that I am incapable of doing so." His voice was as steady and casual as typical for Tech, if you'd not known any better you would've thought he'd been speaking to Hunter or one of the others.
Choking out a gurgled laugh, the man pulled out a blaster, clicking off what you recognized as the stun. You were hardly terrified, Tech was highly skilled, though faced with a blaster you were worried he might be injured. Tech wasn't the first to respond with violence, opting instead to de-escalate the situation with a straightforward and disarming method. "I don't think you heard me, prick. I don't think you want to die over a whore, do you?" The insult hit you, surprised by its accusation and you placed a steadying hand on the backpack Tech wore, to steal a glance of the situation. You felt the hand that was placed on your arm tighten its grip protectively at your movement.
Tech was caught off guard by the insult as well, inclining his head at the shorter man. "Pardon me?"
"The whore, you fool. I want to whore. Move away so I can have her and we can part ways without anyone getting harmed." The man motioned with his blaster for Tech to step aside, though he remained unmoving.
Tech adjusted his goggles with his free hand, "by my estimation, it would seem that the only fool in our current location would be you. I will not be moving, so in light of our impasse, how would you prefer to proceed? By the tremble of your blaster, I would venture that you are incapable of properly wielding the weapon, which is a dangerous decision in and of itself. Again, it would seem you are the fool." Tech took a step forward, calm assurance complimenting his candid tone.
"B-Back up, freak! I'll blast you without a second thought." The man snarled as he raised his blaster higher toward Tech's chest. As you noted what Tech said, he was right- as always- the man's hand shook prominently. Though the sight of a blaster pointed so blatantly at the trooper was unsettling, you trusted him.
"Proper blaster decorum is to hold higher on the handle, finger over the trigger, and placed securely at the target of the blaster bolt." Tech's nonchalant lesson to the man seemed to only set the situation more on edge, which was surprising to you. He wasn't de-escalating, he was...antagonizing. "Is it standard practice here that any chakaaryc is allowed to carry a blaster?"
"A-Any...what?" The man asked confounded by the word he didn't understand, using his other hand to stabilize the blaster now as Tech approached closer to him.
It was normal for the Batch to use their Mando'a around one another, though they didn't use it much around others outside the GAR and even you didn't understand the language so you never paid attention to the words. Though now you were silently cursing yourself for not studying it, wondering what it was that Tech said.
"Di'kutla," Tech's voice lowered to a tone you hadn't heard him use before, it sounded almost...dangerous, "It is a Mandalorian translation for a filthy low-life, such as yourself."
"Why you!" The man's finger began to push the blaster's trigger and you felt your heart drop, stomach-churning, until you blinked and nearly missed the effortlessly elegant way Tech disarmed the man of his blaster. Crying in pain as his hand was bent backward while Tech placed the rogue blaster in his belt after switching it off, the man spat curses at the trooper. "She's just a whore, man! What's your big deal?!"
At the man's insistence on your status, Tech furthered his grip, causing him to yell out, Tech’s stoic composure- in contrast- never faltering. "I believe I have heard quite enough from you, mir'sheb."
"But-" Interrupting the man's argument, Tech's fist connected directly to the criminal’s face in a surprising display of brutality, effectively silencing him- and bloodying his nose.
"I said enough."
Standing in absolute awe of the current events, you were speechless, and before you could muster anything to say you watched as Tech yanked the stumbling man toward you by the grip on his wrist. "Forgive my lack of decency, mesh'la, though regarding his offense, this man owes you an apology."
"Tech, I-" You began, only for Tech to twist the man's arm behind his back and press him forward a bit harsher to which the man stumbled onto his knees, causing Tech to bend down with him, muttering apologies at your feet.
"Are you pleased with his display of atonement, cyar'ika?" Tech's honeyed eyes rose to meet yours, his tall frame bending over the man on the ground, refusing to let him free until you were satisfied. At your nod, he released his hold.
The man scurried to his feet and scuttled away as quickly as he could, nursing his wrist. Confusion washed over you as you glanced at the trooper, dusting off his hands and shuffling things around on his belt to make room for the blaster he had acquired. Once satisfied with his work, Tech met your eyes once more, adjusting his goggles nonchalantly. "Have you found what it is that we came to find?"
Still stunned by Tech's uncommon display of brute force and his complete willingness to act as if it has been just a normal day of the week, you stood there silently holding up the salve. "Wonderful, then we should return quickly." He sent a look around the sky to notice that it was dark now, "I am sure-" and as if on cue, Tech's comm link made a sound. Echo's voice rushed out with a stern use of Tech's name as soon as he’d answered it.
"Where in the galaxy are you two? I said to be quick!" The clone complained on the other end of the comm. Motioning for you to join at his side, Tech explained that you were momentarily disrupted but were unharmed and returning shortly.
While he spoke with Echo, you stared stupidly at the salve in your hand, replaying Tech making an absolute fool of the criminal. You'd never seen him react in such a way and you could feel your cheeks burning at how attractive the response had been to witness. What could've caused such a change in his approach? Of course, the Batch was known to be unconventional, so maybe Tech just thought the only way to dissuade the man was to use brute strength, but it just seemed like something bothered him. Could it have been when the guy insulted you?
A call of your name brought you back to the present, where Tech was standing in front of you, his hand extended. "Take my hand, please, it is quite dark. I do not wish to lose you in the crowd, it would seem this town is worse than I had originally read about. I will make a note to update the Republic's records properly." His hand enveloped yours delicately, pulling you closer to his side to guide you through the mass.
-
The walk back to the Marauder was quiet, your mind reeling from what happened. You were no stranger to difficult scenarios such as that one, so it wasn't as if you were scared just baffled.
"Stars! Finally, you two are back." Echo huffed in frustration as you emerged from the treeline. "Come on, we gotta get out of here. We're wanted back on Kamino for some new mission. Everyone else is already prepped to leave."
Tech merely nodded, saying something about how he'd set up the ship to be ready for the journey, and departed with a casual 'see you inside' as he let go of your name.
"What's wrong with you?" The accusation behind Echo's voice elicited a glare from you, none of this would've been an issue had he not forced Tech to go with you. You wouldn't be standing here struggling to erase the image of Tech decking a criminal right in the face. Replaying the sound of his voice when he demanded his apology to you for his insults...
This was Echo's fault. For sure.
"Tech punched someone, Echo." You explained with narrowed eyes to which the pale clone laughed as if the joke you tried to tell him was the funniest thing he'd heard. "No, I'm serious. He dropped this guy. He pulled a blaster on us and Tech just...punched him in the face."
"That's weird. Tech's not usually the type to-"
"TRUST ME," you raised your voice, "I'M AWARE."
Echo started laughing again, "I told you that he had a soft spot for you, sarad." He motioned for you to follow as he began his ascent up the gangplank, and punched the closure button when you joined him.
-
Later into the night, while you lay awake in your bunk, you tossed and turned trying to quieten the memory from earlier though it was a futile effort. The thought was driving you crazy.
Why had Tech reacted that way? It was just too out of the ordinary for him. It seemed far more personal than he ever responded.
And Echo's comments about him having some sort of bias toward you weren't helping the racing of your heart.
So you crawled out of your bunk, making sure not to wake anyone up as you tip-toed up to the main hull where there were small sounds of tinkering echoing. Of course, he was still awake.
"Mesh'la," Tech commented as you walked in, surprising him. "You are supposed to be asleep, what are you doing awake?"
Flashing him a grin as you took up residency in the co-pilot seat across from him, you pulled your legs up close to your chest. "Much like yourself, Tech, I couldn't sleep."
Adjusting his goggles, Tech blinked a few times in consideration. "Well, are there any extenuating circumstances that are barring you from getting the rest you usually require? Such as Wrecker's snoring? Crosshair mumbling in his sleep? Echo has a bad habit of shifting a lot during the night, could it be that?"
Shaking your head at his list of options, you took a breath, "I, actually have a question."
A glance in his direction showed his brow raising in confusion. "A question for me?" Upon seeing your nod he prompted you to continue, setting his tools aside to give you his undivided attention.
"Earlier..." you began, nervously playing with the hem of your GAR-issued pajama shirt, "in the town." Tech's intent gaze spurred you to continue, though you were anxious about how he would take the question. He was always truthful, but would he find the question odd? Would he think it was a stupid question? "You reacted differently than normal." You pointed about, changing directions a little, instead of asking a question.
"I am obligated to point out that your statement is not a question, cyare. However, your assessment is correct. It is not my usual course of action to resort to physical altercations in such situations..." He responded evenly. "Though, this circumstance required a unique response from me." His added comment confused you even more.
"Why?" You inquired, eyes now meeting his.
Tilting his head to the side slightly, his brows furrowed as if he were the perplexed one now. "I thought it would be obvious." His simple response was mildly bothersome. Of course, it wasn't obvious! That's why you couldn't sleep!
"Tech, you have to remember, sometimes, some of us need you to explain what's going on up there in that exceptional mind of yours." You clarified as you tapped your temple, gesturing for him with a soft smile on your face.
It dawned on him then, that perhaps it probably wasn't obvious to you. Though he struggled to find how to put it into words. "I was required to respond irregularly because he had offended you. Pointing a blaster at me is less of an issue, one I am perfectly well adept at discouraging," Tech's voice was unchanging until he glanced at his hands and his tone dropped. "It wasn't until his unwarranted comments regarding you that I felt my common strategy of de-escalating was not suitable enough. Your virtue demanded more than my words to right the occurrence." His eyes were still downcast as he spoke, seeming...embarrassed?
"My virtue?" You repeated his term of use.
Nodding, the clone finally met your eyes, the emotion behind his brown hues causing the breath to catch in your lungs. "Yes. I will never allow someone to speak so disparagingly about you in my presence. You deserve far more from those who say they care for you."
The blue streaks of hyperspace highlighted the contours of his handsome face, highlighting his features. It seemed as if time slowed to a crawl between the two of you at his admission. Was it a declaration of love, no, but it still burned in your chest as if it had been. "You care for me, Tech?"
"Considerably so, yes." The speed and certainty of his response felt as if it knocked you against the seat, like your first trip into hyperspace, kicking you back. His honesty was staggering every time. "If I can be forthright, I find that I am more partial to you than even my brothers are. I have spoken with Hunter at length about why this may be. The solution we have come to at the very moment is," Then he paused for a moment, considering his words carefully, "that I have a romantic interest in you. The signs of psychical attraction I have are evident, or so I thought. I desire to be close to you as often as possible, and the ability to speak with you about things is a welcomed one that I look forward to regularly."
As you listened, the burning in your chest only worsened. Tech not only punched a man because he insulted you, but punched a man who insulted you because of how much he cares about you and your honor? And now he was telling you how much he'd cared for you? This had to be a dream.
"Forgive me if this is not the answer you were envisioning, however, that does not change the truth of the answer to your query." Tech finished with a resolute nod, though the emotion did not leave his eyes.
You sat there across from him for a while in silence, reflecting, assessing, and gathering, but once everything sorted itself into place in your mind you rose from your seat to stand before Tech. He'd always been so straightforward, so honest with you...he only deserved the same in return.
Your hands hesitantly reached out, testing the waters of his current mood. When he didn't pull away, you caressed his jaw on either side lovingly, tilting his chin up to meet your eyes. The astonishment in them betrayed his outwardly calm demeanor as you leaned down to graze your lips against his, a whispered 'thank you' tumbling from your lips before you kissed him.
As if your confusion and amazement had been transferred to him, Tech merely sat in his seat, numbly. However, as you began to pull away, his hand quickly reached out to rest around the back of your head to stop you from going too far. Brown eyes explored your face as if you were an illusion, "you captivate and baffle me," he breathed out in wonderment, pulling you back in for another kiss, "show me more, please."
Laughing under your breath at his request you lowered yourself into his lap gingerly, "I'd love to, but right now, I just want to kiss you a little more."

hi i hope you’re doing amazing ! i recently discovered your account and have been blessed to see such amazing work🤩
recently i had to get a spinal fusion surgery. which also means i have metal rods and screws in my back :( it’s been tough for sure and most days i’m fine but there are days where i can’t just stop thinking about everything that happened before my accident and how this will change how i do things in the future. i know this may seem like a long shot but i was wondering if you could do a little one shot with echo about post surgery and how supportive he would be during the recovery process and those hard days ? he really is my comfort character and i know he would just be so understanding😭
Aloha!
How are you doing by now? Wishing you a speedy recovery, strength and love to deal with this new situation 💚
Echo is indeed a perfect comfort character, especially for something like this, I assume. Let me see what I can do for you.

You slowly open your eyes, you are still hungover, everything feels strange and as if you are wrapped in absorbent cotton, at least for the moment. You feel dizzy, sleepy, the anesthesia hasn't really let you go yet. Blinking, you try to get used to the light and immediately realize that you don't like your surroundings, but you didn't expect that. Hospitals are rarely pretty to look at. "Finally awake, sleepyhead?" Echo's soft tone with his deep voice, immediately creeps under your skin, to your deepest core, like soothing balm. You want to say something, but your mouth is so dry that you barely get your lips apart. Not a second later, you see Echo's hand, a cup and a straw. "Drink slowly," he says gently, "The doctors say your stomach might rebel if you take in food and liquids too quickly." You are incredibly thirsty, but you force yourself to take small, careful sips. "That's it," Echo says with a satisfied smile. Finally, you can speak again. "You're here," you state, smiling at him. Echo raises his brows. "Of course I'm here, by your side. Where else would I be?" He puts the cup back down and gently clasps your hand with his. "How do you feel?" he wants to know. You think for a small moment before answering with a sigh, "Fine, I guess, considering the circumstances. Tired, groggy from the anesthesia, and I'm not very comfortable in hospitals in general, but I guess that's beside the point." You glance at an imaginary point on the opposite wall and drift off in thought for a moment as you feel Echo's hand apply gentle pressure to yours, and he asks, "What's wrong? What are you thinking about right now?"
You look at him thoughtfully and reply, "About my recovery, the healing process, the physical therapies needed, and how everything will change in the near future." "That worries you?" You nod tentatively. Echo smiles at you, unperturbed. "You don't have to go through this alone, you have me. Don't worry, I'll help you with everything, support you. It will all seem hard at first, but it'll go away in time, you'll see." And Echo keeps his promise. He is always there when you need him, whenever he can, he is by your side, at doctor's appointments, therapeutic measures and in everyday life. You never once hear him grumble or complain. The only times you see him upset is when you neglect yourself or want to go too far too fast. He reprimands you now and then, but he does it out of affection and genuine concern for you. Echo makes sure you are always taken care of, even when he can't be there himself. He calls regularly from the road to hear how you are doing and to make sure you are recovering well. Still, of course, you worry, fearing that all this might become too much for him or that he might see you with different eyes than before. One day, when he comes back from a mission, he goes straight to you, carrying shopping bags with ingredients for a delicious dinner. The moment he walks in the door and smiles at you, all the fears and doubts that plagued you in his absence vanish. The genuine joy on his face to see you again, tingles under your skin, every time.
"Did you miss me much?" he asks with a grin, kissing your forehead. "Hell of a lot," you say, beaming at him. Echo lifts his bags in the air and says, "I'll be in the kitchen making us a decent dinner, then we'll take some time just for us" "That sounds wonderful" Echo takes care of everything, you don't have to ask him for anything, he does all these things by himself. He has a sense of what you need and what needs to be done. He has a talent for calming you down, taking away your fears and making you relax, even in moments when you don't think it's possible. As you become thoughtful again over dinner, Echo gently but firmly tells you, "Love, look at me. I know what you've been through is scary and healing is exhausting, but there's no need for fear or doubt. You are still you, still the person I love, don't let your gloomy thoughts take away your joy for the future. And above all, enjoy the good food." He smirks at you, and you automatically smirk back. "What would I do without you?" you ask, amused. Echo laughs softly and says, "Eat much worse for sure."
