When I think about it, it's not really common in Shonen anime in particular because usually the MC would be older than someone else, like by a couple of months, maybe years or they're an older sibling. Even has a timeskip or something.

I got an ask this morning asking me why they’d censor asahi which has since led me into a downward spiral in the form of a post that reads something like this

have you seen that theory about vbs not being the original owners of their sekai, and if so what are your thoughts about it?

i stared at this post for a few minutes wondering if you were talking about a post that was written by me and then i checked twitter and a post about RADder being the original owners popped up on my fyp so i'm assuming that's what you're talking about (also i realised that my post is. still in my drafts).

yeah anyway i do agree with that theory. kinda. The Street SEKAI is mentioned multiple times in the initial cards to have been around for a while, though this could be referring to the fact that SEKAI take time to grow before they manifest fully to the owners (think about School and Wonderland SEKAI, which probably took years to reveal themselves). But it could also imply that someone else contributed to the SEKAI before VBS. I actually talk about the theory briefly in that first linked post, so we'll continue from there.

so I don't think it was RADder. And yeah basically my only reason is that they're too old. MEIKO was released in 2006, considering the only date mentioned in the game is (Autumn) 2021, this is after An was born, when RADder was already pretty successful. Also we don't know enough about SEKAI physics to confirm this, but Miku seems to be more important than MEIKO so maybe space-time wasn't broken until 2007, and RADder is probably even more successful at that point because of the CDs they recorded when An was a baby.

the SEKAI just doesn't work in the time frame. What we know is that the Street SEKAI was formed by dreams and aspiration. Which is kinda the case for most SEKAI but Street SEKAI was more specifically formed by the passion its creators have for these dreams. and while RADder had big dreams to be top musicians in the world and was passionate about that, they were like realistically never gonna achieve that, but also they were at a point where they were doing very well and were very successful and on their way there. they didn't really need the help from Miku as much as VBS needs it.

Now the way Nagi talks about some things in Light Up the Fire definitely could be read a certain way, especially when she talks about passing on RADder's dream to the kids in the audience at RW, but I still don't think RADder being the original owners entirely works. Honestly the easiest point to argue for that claim is that the Street SEKAI has a very strong attachment to RAD WEEKEND, which on the one hand could be part of the fact that Taiga very clearly never moved past it and never fully processed the death of his sister, but it makes a lot more sense to be a trait tied to the people who aspire to surpass it. also MEIKO outright says that's why the attachment to RW is there in her initial 2*.

However,

I don't think it's entirely out of the question for some of the other side characters to have an influence over the Street SEKAI. As I've mentioned, the SEKAI has a strong attachment to RW, and all of them have the same goal of surpassing the event. Also the 4 older VSingers in the SEKAI (MEIKO, KAITO, Luka, Miku) all takes traits from the members of RADder. Which makes a lot of sense for the main mentor figures in the SEKAI to be based on the people that the kids look up to.

There is an argument to be made though that they gave up on their dreams to easily. In LUTF, Taiga decides to crush all their dreams and Tatsuya (+ his group), Arata and Kotaro all leave, like, they just give up while (an admittedly very shaken) VBS sticks with their dream.

Tatsuya and EVER leave because all this time they'd been just carrying on until they eventually saw victory, but after taking a beating from Taiga, they realised that there's some things that you won't be able to overcome and give up.

Arata leaves because even though he has skill, Taiga was able to get through to his weakness - Souma. Taiga realises that Arata has experienced a similar loss and grief to he did, and although Arata is trying to carry Souma's dream on his behalf, Taiga knows from experience that Arata is just clinging on to Souma's dream as a way of coping with his loss, rather than actually trying to uphold it (basically he calls him selfish). Arata isn't able to argue back, feels a lot of guilt over that, and leaves.

Kotaro is like. particularly interesting and also most eligible for Miku therapy. He's genuinely really scared and overwhelmed by Taiga's challenge, and gives a poor performance when he has to stand up to him, and straight up gets called shit and weak by Taiga and the audience. Dead serious. Afterwards he literally has a breakdown, calls himself an idiot for not being able to sing and then goes on about how he's shit at everything and apologises because should've given up ages ago because all he's ever done is drag everyone else down before literally running away and DAMN do I hope he gets development on that in the Toya event.

all things considered i'd honestly say that all of them to some degree could've contributed to the formation of the SEKAI, Souma included (honestly he seems the most passionate about it even though he was forced to give up). all of them were passionate about it but then there's always the fact that they all gave up really easily, although they were reluctant. that said, toya did the same thing in the main story so...

Although,

There's still an argument that the Street SEKAI was just formed by the four of VBS, and Kohane was just the final piece of the puzzle that made it reveal itself. Three passionate people who are wholeheartedly devoted to their dream and one ordinary girl who wants to do something that she can dedicate herself to and feel passionate about. inverse MMJ if you will. fate is probably canon in project sekai also like i've mentioned this a few times before so that could play a part in all this.

but come to think of it, the sekai doesn't even reveal itself to Akito and Toya until really late in the main story. supposedly they still heavily influenced it but that's a bit... odd? don't you think? like the only other times that happens is N25 and WxS, wherein the SEKAI was made by only one person and let the others in later, but this was a SEKAI that was supposedly made by all 4 of them. so if you think about it hard enough, could the street sekai maybe do that again?

Also,

Nagi is very important to the VBS story and lore despite the fact that she was very obviously written in much later in development. Going back to the fate thing, at RW she states that since RADder is over and she's over, she now has a new dream, that being that she wants the next generation to be inspired by what they achieved and carry on their legacy. While when she says that, she's talking about An and Akito in the audience at RW, it's stated multiple times that the "next generation" includes all of VBS, and all the side characters. so yeah, the fate thing. I doubt the game will ever do anything about it since they're side characters, but I think it can be argued that they contributed to the SEKAI a bit.

i wrote this in so many increments and in the wrong order and now it lacks any cohesion whatsoever and i have no idea what i'm even saying at this point and i think i sort of proved it and disproved it simultaneously but like. yeah. it's an alright theory. i have some thoughts on it.

As for OLD, it's kinda up for debate on if its an actual disorder or not, it's not in the DSM or ICD or anything but there is research on it, and it's usually linked with OCD, erotomania or BPD again;; here's a good article on it cause this response is getting long lol

Rei: “A place Fujieda would visit…. where would that be? Something related to work?”

Rei: “I’m so glad that it didn’t turn into a major fire. Junko and the others said they will come later too.”

Roost Manager: “I’m sorry for worrying everyone.”

Igarashi: “Is everyone alright?”

I said it before and ill say it again.

What I love the most about the TSGP is that it includes every characters in TG, and for someone who mainly likes minor characters like me, it brings me such joy.

Also, i dont know about you but i love thinking about the pairs. Sure they're opponents but what TG (and most manga) taught me is you can totally make friend and fuck your enemy so i like thinking about their similarities and scenarios for them.

Like i imagine Rio would take Houji to a coffee date because he feels like Houji is having too much stress (that boy is good at making friends). Or Takizawa and Tamaki would drink together and complain about how awful their teams are (they love their teams very much). I've never given a thought about these combination before but now Im drawing them instead of drawing my awful ship so that's good food for brain i think.

Moreover, the polls wake the fandom of that character up. I've never seen Arata's fans around until Arata beat Arima, or I couldn't believe Tomoe could go that far during the TGSWP. I got to read persuasive arguments, enjoy great art or even the screaming under the tags (love that so much).

Q.002. Did you hate your victim?

Akio: How many times I have to repeat it for you? I hated him. I hated him so much.

Aimi: Are we talking about the person that was killed only by me without any help? If so.. I think I started to hate him only a moment before I had murdered him. Saying that I hate him feels so weird, but I think it's time for me to finally be honest with myself.

Q.003. What is your biggest fear?

Akio: Not being good enough.

Aimi: Being left all alone.

Q.004. Would you commit the same crime again?

Akio: .. I don't know.

Aimi: I just couldn't let that person live. So yes, I think I'd still kill him even if I wasn't bullied.

Akio: He was weird. But surprisingly charismatic. I think I got to know his true self only when I saw his reaction to seeing Chise's corpse.

Aimi: He was very kind and very caring, I loved spending time with him, he always tried to make every single day of my life as fun as possible! He was.. very overprotective though. That freak wouldn't let me live a normal life.

Akio: Fine, if I say yes, will you finally leave me alone?

Aimi: Nope! I was always more interested in making friends, but I'd love to go on a date with someone.

Aimi: I try to wake up as early as I can now, so that I can take care of Akio-kun. He barely gets any sleep now.. You will forgive him, right? And I usually go to bed at 10 or 11 pm.

Akio: They were always anxious and stressed and under a lot of pressure because we all went to an elite school, so almost all my classmates were obsessed with their grades and being the best students in class. Arata and Chise were the only exceptions and maybe that's why my relationship with them was different from what I had with others.

a kiss shared during a game  ( truth or dare ,  spin the bottle ,  etc ) . // omg imagine them at a party & then it's truth or dare & niko gets asked to 'kiss the person he wants to kiss the most/is the most gorgeous.' & then he kisses chiyo & it's like !!!!

she'll never tell anyone this, but she's not really a fan of truth or dare.

chiyo might be in the minority, considering she isn't one to risk being tasked to do something truly outrageous, but she still plays because niko and their friends want to play, and she's nothing if not agreeable... some of the time, at least. she just wants to watch them laugh at each other, goad one another into ridiculous acts that she'll definitely never let them live down. she can handle being asked things like, " who would you kiss here? " if it means her friends have a good time, and she gets to make fun of them.

she answered, " no one, " by the way. a lie, naturally.

" alright, niko, " grins arata, clapping his hands together. " truth or dare? "

he picks dare.

" i dare you to... kiss the person you wanna kiss the most! "

chiyo stops paying attention, averting her eyes. it's embarrassing to watch anybody kiss, but most of all someone close to her like niko. she does wonder who he'll choose, then stops herself from wondering because why does it matter? it'll happen, they'll move on with the game, and then she'll forget about this dare by the end of the night.

niko's shoes come into her view, and her heart trips over itself. she keeps staring at them like they're going to side step and land in front of paige instead, but they don't. they don't, and she's panicking a little because... because why? because her best friend is about to kiss her? because that's so scary?

it is. it's scary because when she was asked who she'd kiss here, her honest answer would have been niko. and chiyo isn't quite sure what that means for her ( or maybe she knows, but she wants to pretend for just a little longer ).

she drowns in blue as niko gently tilts her face up to look at him; she's searching for an answer. why would he pick her, out of all the people here? he tugs her up and off the couch, and chiyo lets him. she can't be the most appealing option. some of their friends break out into ooh's when niko pulls her closer, a warm hand upon her waist. sure, he likes her just the way she is, handles her with the sort of care she's always craved from another person, but they're friends. he's leaning down, and chiyo isn't stopping him, still searching, heart hammering against her ribcage as he cups the back of her neck.

but maybe that's just it. they're friends, close friends, so maybe he'd rather kiss her than someone else who doesn't know him like her. that makes sense. it makes more sense than the tingle that works its way up chiyo's spine and into her scalp when niko finally kisses her. it makes more sense than rising on her tiptoes to gain a better angle, grabbing fistfuls of his shirt for leverage. it makes a hell of a lot more sense than the butterflies fluttering in her stomach when niko grips her a little tighter, still ever soft and slow as his lips move against hers, stealing the air from her lungs.

when niko pulls away but not out of her space, it's embarrassing how her lips follow after his for a second before chiyo realizes what she's doing. she opens her eyes and finds herself falling into pools of blue once again, more lost than she was before.

they're friends, but she'd never kiss a friend like that.

" ...are you guys secretly dating, or what? " arata teases, breaking the tension and reminding chiyo that she and niko are very much not alone. she scoffs, moving away from him and attempting to smile through the heavy feeling building up in her chest. she stuffs her hands in the pocket of her hoody and plops back onto the couch beside paige ( who, by the way, isn't hiding her grin very well at all ).

" what would the point of that be, arata? this isn't a tv show. " chiyo meets niko's eyes only to look away immediately. she can feel her cheeks growing warm. embarrassing. " let's just move on, alright? "

they move on with the game as requested. chiyo can't look niko in the eyes the rest of the night. she tries to not think about why.

Arata Shindo + First Time Headcanons

First off, it would need to be someone he is dating.

Arata isn’t one to fool around. So he would have to be in a committed relationship, which is challenging.

He would be nervous, but also an excited kind of nervous.

He would fumble over his words a little. Blush. Scratch the back of his head.

Hopefully his partner has some experience, since he has none, and they can build off that.

If this is their first time as well it would be awkward, but still sweet.

He asks for a lot of approval on things. “Is this ok?” “Am I doing this right?” “Does this feel good or should I stop?”

Arata wants to do a good job and make his partner feel good, but sex is a lot of trial & error.

Does not last long. Tries to at least get them to orgasm before or after to make up for it.

alright! arata fun facts!

his favorite food is spicy tomato udon and his favorite drink would be matcha tea! (he would probably drink lattes but only for the latte art)

secretly into v-kei bands like versailles or malice mizer. would dress that way if he had the money.

arata considers painting his way of memorializing someone. so the more he paints you, the more he can remember you

(it's also his way of showing affection. if he gives you a painting, he's down bad for you)

his favorite thing to paint besides people would be landscapes. it's the little details that count <3

he loves cats especially the fluffy ones, even if they're more work.

last one is aramiko coded ummm pre-romantic relationship, miko and arata watch movies together and sometimes arata will try and hold mikoto's hand but usually back outs. one day he will be confident enough to do it (unless if miko does it first but who knows)
