There’s a very easy way to get around the fact that Assad is unable to pass for a teeenager if the show wants to adapt TVA and that’s to rely on the theme of unreliable narration. Armand begins retelling his history and according to him, he looked like he was in his early adulthood. No older than twenty four, for sure, but also not any younger than twenty. And then, just when the audience has bought it, just when this version of events has been presented as the truth for long enough, someone questions it. Asks if he really looked like that. Asks if he’s being honest with himself. And for the briefest moment, we flashback to Amadeo, the age he was when Marius first saw him. Beaten, shackled, afraid. And undeniably a child.

Had. An extremely funny vision to revamp Moe's staff.

The design isn't super final, I can never really decide how I want the accents to look... trying to keep them in line with how the Askr trio's weapons look. Especially the signature color magic glow that's present in their special arts!!!

Anna has it too!!!!! You just don't see it bc her art gets cut off in game. Also, additional image bc you don't see the handle v well in her special.

Which is why, here, the green gem is most prominent on Moe's weapon.... geen....... idk if I'm keeping the other ones that look like the summoning circle orbs. It was just something I wanted to try out!

BUT. BUT. The Main Idea here is that Moe added its own touch to the staff. Yeah, the dangly halo was a Neat idea, but this concept is just so much funnier to me..... says SO much about Moe as a character... it is ALWAYS. Making and customizing things. I can also see Moe using the carabiner practically as well! Now, I wonder why it held onto those two feathers in particular... 🤔

FINALLY, YOSHIOKA THROUGH THE YEARS.

Beware of my heacanon backstory below:

At five years old, Yoshioka lived with his mother in China. His mother was a good person who took care of him, although she was always busy. But Yoshioka didn't see his father often because he was always on 'business trips' in Japan. I think he was a reserved child and perhaps somewhat lonely, but he was happy anyway. Originally his last name was given by his mother and his first name was chosen by his father, and I think in Chinese it would be written 闞周平 (Kàn Zhōupíng) and in Japanese 闞秀平 (Kan Shūhei). I'm sorry if I make mistakes, I'm not good at kanji/hànzi.

At the age of ten his father took him to Japan, his mother did not agree but neither she nor Yoshioka had a choice. His father wanted to take him to Japan when he was young so he could learn the language, the traditions, and so on. Since his father was a yakuza, he wanted Yoshioka to be one too, and to make him fit in better, his father got him fake identification, naming him again as 吉岡 真守 (Yoshioka Mamoru), since he doesn't work within the law anyway.

At the age of fifteen he had already gotten used to live in Japan and his life was almost that of a normal teenager, he went to school normally and he was allowed to have hobbies and friends, and all of that, although he was still somewhat lonely and a bit socially awkward. The only thing that made him different from an ordinary boy was that his father raised him to get used to the life of a gangster, and that he had not seen or heard from his mother since he left China.

At twenty-five his life was completely focused on the mafia, and you could say he was just any yakuza, except he was always looking for ways to leave that job and get one away from crime, and that's how he ended up as a simple security guard, not really leaving the life of crime yet but at least he didn't have to do anything but keep an eye on the doors.

Kandreil is like this: Andrew reminds Neil of Mary, both Andrew and Neil remind Kevin of Kayleigh and Andrew also shares strong similarities to Wymack. I don’t think either of them remind Andrew of Tilda or even Cass (well, feeling hopeful and hating it reminds him of Cass which is associated with both of them but not exactly what is being addressed here) but Andrew sees Tilda in the mirror every day.

the backstory of vash and knives as kids is a lot sadder in the manga… i think stampede did a lot of things well but the way they’ve handled knives is a little weird so far, they make it seem like he was some little psychopath child right from the start but that’s so far from the truth? he loved rem and saw her as his mother just as much as vash did. if anything he was initially even more desperate to be with humans than vash was. he literally broke down into happy tears the second he received acknowledgment from a human who wasn’t rem because he was so relieved to be accepted as a being who could live amongst them once everyone woke up :( seeing all that actually makes his feelings of betrayal/anger and desire for vengeance once they find tesla even more understandable, and i wish they had shown more of his perspective, but maybe it’s being saved for season two? they didn’t show this to us until like 8 volumes into the manga after all
