LETS GO CLANGEN TIME: Moon 0 - The Beginning

Meet the four founders of PoppyClan- a group of kits washed away by a flood into the wet plains miles away. Their home destroyed and loved ones gone, the eldest apprentice, FallenPaw, steps up to lead them out of the dark. Taking the name FallenDapple, she guides her three young clanmates out of the much and into a warm clearing to dry. That night, she is plagued by haunting dreams of cats clawing their way out of the water, pulling her under the waves- until she resurfaces in a cold, dark place. There, she is greeted by her lost brother, OleanderPaw, who tells her that this is all who could follow them from their once bursting StarClan. She can feel his loneliness. Begging for answers, she pleads with her brother to tell them what had happened; why had StarClan punished them so? "None of that now, FallenDapple. I've come here for a reason." Solemnly, he blesses her with the last of his strength as a spirit, gifting her eight extra lives to make it through the coming moons. When she awakens, a single Poppy has grown between her paws, watered by the excess droplets that had clung to her wet fur.

Hazelshade's Deepdive-ish

Hazelshade was one of the founders of NectarClan, who fled her home clan of AspenClan due to the wars.

Hazelshade was born within the rocky plains of AspenClan, to her mother Mintpool and her father Bristlegorse. She was the final attempt for the older cats to continue their lineage of grand warriors.

Bristlegorse and Mintpetal were well known within AspenClan for being formidable warriors and fighters for their clan. Bristlegorse himself being the deputy of AspenClan. When the two were blessed with Hazelkit, they were thrilled their lineage would live on through her and they were certain that she too would be a grand warrior just as they were. Already there was so much weight and expectation on Hazelkit's shoulders.

Hazelkit was barely able to leave the nursery when Bristlegorse wanted to get her started on her training. Little things here and there. How to do the hunter's crouch, Leaping and pouncing. He was determined that she would follow in his footsteps.

When it was her time to become an apprentice, it was to Bristlegorse and Mintpetal's dismay that Hazelpaw was assigned to none other than Leaptail. A cat that the two parents believed would serve no good to Hazelpaw. If anything he'd be a bad influence on her, that was if he would be planning to actually stick around to train her. Hazelpaw herself saw her parents' dismay and too mimicked it, if her parents weren't happy with Sagestar's choice then perhaps she shouldn't be either. Although she wasn't going to sit around and mope about it. No. This just meant she had to train all that more harder.

Despite it all, Hazelpaw would pursue in her training and would eventually earn her warrior name, Hazelshade. While Leaptail wasn't the best mentor, he certainly stepped up to the challenge of getting her battle ready as soon as possible. Although Hazel's parent's opinion of the tom, certainly caused a wedge between the relationship the mentor and apprentice could of had. From what she had seen from many mentor and apprentice pairings, the apprentices often saw their mentors as another figure they could find solace within, trust, wisdom and even friendship. But Hazelshade put her barriers up so Leaptail couldn't even attempt to get close.

During the fateful battle were Leaptail's brother, Fleetfoot lost his life, Hazelshade noticed how Leaptail grieved for his brother. She also noticed the lack of emotion that flowed through the clan and herself. Much of the clan kept their emotions to themselves, Hazelshade included. But she couldn't help but feel for Leaptail.

Hazelshade was a little surprised when Leaptail approached her with his outlandish plan to leave the clan and make a new clan. Frankly if she wasn't so curious about what was beyond the borders and the fruitless fighting, she would of laughed at him. But when he left saying she was welcome to come with, she couldn't help but feel the pull to leave on this new adventure. After all, if it was as ridiculous as it sounded, she could always come back,,,right?

That night she lay in her nest thinking about what it would be like beyond the territories. She couldn't get the thoughts of the adventure out of her head. All the while she also couldn't stop thinking about, what were these battles all about? Nothing ever seemed to come out from them. All besides bloodshed and loss. What WERE they fighting for? Territory? Honour? Pride? Was it something she could even stand for?

She mulled on it for days. It was only within the last few moments when she truly decided that she would leave everything she knew for the greater world. It was there where she decided that if she didn't know what she was fighting for...she wasn't going to fight!

Once the ragtag group of cats had settled she was once again surprised when Leaptail, now Leapstar approached her asking her to be his deputy. She was about to argue that she hadn't got the experience or anything, before she was cut off by the leader as he explained his reasoning for choosing her. Unsure, yet she still hesitantly accepted.

Throughout the moons, she kept trying to decide if leaving was the right thing to do. She often wondered if it was worth heading back. But as each day passed the harder it was to reason with herself to go back. She found herself coming to enjoy this new life. The new friends she was making and all the while she had actually made her father's dream a reality, she did in a way follow in his footsteps and here she was deputy of her clan, her home.

The moons continued to pass and as NectarClan continued to feel like home. She found comfort and solace within Dreamfreckle. A cat who had also joined from the previous territories. The more time she spent with the dark furred molly, the more she found she couldn't live in a world where they would be separated. Dreamfreckle was the only cat that she could truly trust and rely on. The only one would saw her true emotions. If she had stayed in AspenClan she would of never felt this overwhelming comfort and happiness. No, if anything, Dreamfreckle would of been her enemy.

With that final thought put to rest. It was clear that yes, NectarClan was Hazelshade's home and it always would be.

Hello clangen enthusiasts! To be clear I’m not doing an entire clangen drawing challenge about this clan (especially since I’m nearly on my 300th moon with them) but since I’ve already posted the founders drawing I thought I’d fill you all in. I’m mostly going to be focusing on aesthetics and the basics of the clan:

First off, I choose this lovely camp type:

Going off of this and the name I choose, I picture it as a green mossy forest littered with large sycamore trees. It’s shady with a rocky ground covering. Only thin beams of light pass through thick canopies of ancient branches.

Sycamoreclan cats hunt squirrels, mice, and voles primarily. And must worry about the badgers, red and grey foxes, and dogs around them.

Their neighbouring clans are Wetclan, Whirlclan, Morningclan, and their on and off rivals Swiftclan. I’ve used a fantasy map creator to outline their territory here:

Sycamoreclan and Swiftclan often fight over a smaller grove of trees divided from ordinary Sycamore territory by a river, but not yet into Swifts mountain range.

Above is the generated backstory of the clan a warrior told their apprentice on patrol. And my drawing of the founding cats.

Godric and Luxia were of similar ages and both were brave warriors and remarkable wizards, and both they developed feelings for one another. Godric’s sweet and gentlemanly manners quickly betwitched Luxia, as well as he was taken by her Herculean bravery and the fact that she always challenged him, which he loved: a challenge. They were together for five years, planning to marry after the Mage Wars were over. 

However, when she found out that he have had another relationship resulting in a son during those years, she instantly flipped, having their most severe argument, where Luxia broke things off and vowed to never be alone with him in a room. After Hogwarts was founded, they mended things and even supported Godric’s relationship with Rowena, whom she had a deep respect. Luxia went to found her own family, which still prevails today. 

Evander Mountmorris ( @foundersofhogwartslegacy​ ) 

Evander joined Godric’s forces soon enough, given the brewing war happening. Luxia, as Godric’s second in command (and after ensuring she was not bearing his child just in case) trained the best promises, and Evander was among them. 

The two of them had a special emotional connection, and although Luxia was prickly and reserved at first, something about Evander made her open up and give love a second chance. They spent what was considered as a long engagement before marrying after Luxia was sure she was making the right choice this time. They had three children together: Kenna, Kemina and Leonidas. Their line would result in the Thorne family through their son Leonidas.

Luxia is the ancestor of Marcellus and Semele Thorne 

She was given the nickname ‘Rose With the Thickest Thorns’ for surviving unscathed a fall to a thick rosebush 

She was an advocate for women’s rights of the era and often persecuted men who abused their wives and daughters, slaughtering them 

She never liked being subjected to the highest bidder’s will and was key on Godric joining Rowena’s cause 

She was responsible of hiding the Gryffindor sword so only a worthy member would find it and weild it

I'm somewhat brainrotted with these guys rn so there are a few ideas about them. Falcon is the founder of the group known as "Serpents". It started with two old cats (Stoat's Roar and Frostbite), who rescued him from humans (he is a longhair bengal cat). They occupied a huge cave with no intention to take more cats in, but somehow they got several cats who needed help (Falcon brought them). Hawk Feather was one of them. Stoat and Frostbite were too old, so Falcon became a leader, which was obviously not his place. Hot-tempered and impulsive, he didn't take any criticism and fought back anyone who tried to argue with him (though he is not the best fighter). Hawk's former apprentice, Goldfish, died because he tried to challenge Falcon. His wounds were infected. Hawk is a really talented fighter, but he didn't interrupt them, he prefered to watch and he was more than pleased with how it ended. But why "Serpents"? It was Falcon's idea. Though he has a bad temper and is not really strong, he is pretty smart. There are many poisonous bright snakes in vicinity and cats are afraid of them, but Falcon noticed that there weren't just one species. There were two of them! The first one is poisonous (not really dangerous for adult cats if they're not teasing them), the second one is completely harmless. He used them to scare enemies away, cause no one else could see the difference. But later some of the dead members of Serpents started to come back as poisonous snakes. Goldfish was the first one. He wanted to kill Falcon to avenge himself, but Hawk was faster. When cats looked closer at the abnormaly aggressive snake they found familiar tiny bite scars. Lately cats who wanted to help their group or kill someone returned as a snakes, and that's why Serpents prefer to have scars. What about Hawk Feather? He is a cold and heartless jerk, who wouldn't really hurt someone without a good reason, but wouldn't help without it either. The only cat he really cares about is Falcon, who saved his life when he was a teen. Hawk tried to get his attention for a long time, but Falcon only started to notice him after he killed his own reincarnated apprentice to save Falcon's butt, so now Hawk was closer to the leader than anyone could ever be. He is the only true snake around here. Falcon.. is not as bad as he seems to be. He deaply cares about cats he knows well enough, he has empathy (unlike Hawk). But new cats should be really careful with him, because he judges foreign viewpoints to be a danger for the group. 1-2 pics: Hawk Feather and Falcon (Frostbite and Stoat's Roar as snakes)! 3: 1) Young Hawk wakes up in the Serpents' cave, while snakes warm up against him. Very surprised, lol 2) Aspen (tortie she-cat) and Robin (disabled tom) trying to save Goldfish, Falcon is irritated 3) Hawk is killing aspid-Goldfish (it's almost like murdering your apprentice when he is already in Starclan). Hi ! This is my first post and it's cats. I am not part of the warrior cats fandom but I plan to read the books !

My friend @willicewc (check them out ) introduced me to clangen and I decided that I would , indeed , play with them and also try the challenge of drawing my cats every 12 moons !

This is Bitestar , and she is the leader of the SycamoreClan ! She is 110 moons old (I didn't realized she was a senior until I finished the drawing). She is loving (unless it's Copperpaw ) and an excellent speaker ! She is the mate of Tallnut and is very good friend with Lavendercloud ! Despite her leader position she can be very childish and even fought with Copperpaw when he was a kit for a feather , that they ended up destroying. She doesn't hate him , tho. She doesn't like Carnationroar that much and have a lot of respect for Budbird , the first medecine cat of the clan. She is a clan founder !

This is Tallnut , he is the deputy and the mate of Bitestar ! He is a very strange cat and also an excellent fighter. He has a tendency to be romantic with others cats , despite having a mate that isn't aware of this behavior. He got romantic feeling for Fawndapple and Chickennuggets and his very friendly with Smallsprout. He is neutral or friendly with every cat , except Budbird which he found to be annoying sometimes. His former apprentice was Moonblur , who was killed by the poison of a sea creature very suddenly . He is pretty suspicious of Chara. He is a clan founder !

This is Budbird ! She is a medecine cat and she is 39 old ! Her former apprentice was Copperpaw , who died from hypothermia. She had a conflicting relationship with him , hating him and liking him at the same time. She is a compassionate cat and is a good fighter and sometimes which to join the warriors on their patrols. Her mate is Lavendercould and she is a good friend of Smallsprout ! She doesn't like Tallnut at all and thinks Carnationroar is weird and therefore doesn't like him either. She is a clan founder !

This is Carnationroar ! He is 116 moons old and is a warrior ! His former apprentice was Lavendercloud. He is an ambitious cat and have a strong connection to StarClan. His mate is Chickennugget , and he only feels safe around her. He doesn't understand why he is such an outcast in the clan and struggle socially. He has a good relationship with Smallsprout and Fawndapple. He doesn't feel good near Budbird but still has a lot of respect for her work. He is a clan founder.

This is Chara ! He is 21 moons old and made quite the impression when he got accepted into the clan ! Despite being a abandoned kittypet , he has many qualities that are very useful for the health and quality of life of the SycamoreClan. He decided to be medecine cat. He is very smart and is a responsible cat. His mate is Fawndapple but they are only discovering each other. He doesn't have a lot of relationship in the clan because he is very new , but appreciate Bitestar and get along well with Jalebi , an other ex-kittypet. He doesn't feel safe around Tallnut .

This is Chickennugget ! She is 70 moons old and is a great fighter , and a very confident warrior. She is currently injured and tries to rest at the medecine den. She is the first cat that didn't judge Carnationroar for his social struggles and ended up being his mate. She got a chaotic energy and enjoyed spending time with Copperpaw when he was still alive. She is one of the only cats that missed him. She is a good friend of Lavendercloud and has some romantic feelings for Tallnut but doesn't want to act upon them. There is no cat she dislikes. She is clan founder !

This is Fawndapple ! She is 99 moons old . She is fantastic hunter and a vengeful warrior. Her former apprentice was Smallsprout and her mate is Chara. She feels neutral towards most of the others cats. She doesn't get along Firemunch for some reasons. She still has a good relationship with her former apprentice. She is currently injured because of a fox attack. She is a clan founder !

This is Firemunch ! He is 67 moons old and was a kittypet. He joined the SycamoreClan by choice and is an extremely smart and lonesome warrior. His mate is Jalebi and is currently injured and resting at the medecine den. He doesn't feel close to any cat and probably got with Jalebi because she just joined too. He wish to get along with her on the long term. He doesn't like Fawndapple at all and is on the fence about Chickennugget.

This is Jalebi ! She is 35 moons and got abandoned by her humans because of her sickness. She is an ambitious warrior with a strong connection to StarClan. She , somehow , is a very good warrior. Her mate is Firemunch. She starts to get along well with Bitestar mostly feel neutral toward the others cats. She just joined and still feels a little bit uneasy and sad that Paquitoplume , a former kittypet , died from their sickness. She thinks they could have get along very well.

This is Jollyspeckle ! She is 35 moons old and also was abandoned by her humans. She is a faithful warrior and a great hunter. She isn't very experienced but tries her best to be a good addition to the clan. She doesn't have any friends nor a mate , but thinks Chickennugget is nice and funny. She just got healed from her sickness by Budbird and feels a little jealous to not be as useful as her. Chickennugget introduced her to Carnationroar and they slowly start to be friendly with each other.

This is Lavendercloud ! She is 28 moons and is a new warrior ! She is righteous and have a strong connection to StarClan. Her mate is Budbird and they get along very well. She doesn't have much friend but get along with Tallnut , Smallsprout and Carnationroar. She had a complicated relationship with Moonblur. She somehow feels some jealousy towards Firemunch , maybe she would like to be stronger faster ? She is a clan founder !

This is Smallsprout ! He is 24 moons and the only mediator of the clan ! He is wise and very smart , and also very kind. His former mate was Moonblur and he still him everyday. There is not cat he dislikes and get along with most of the clan. He is good friend with Budbird , Fawndapple and Lavendercloud. He felt he was the more fitted for the role of mediator , but misses the cats he grow up with a lot. He has some romantic feelings for Lavenderpaw but doesn't act on them. He is a clan founder !

This is Copperpaw ! He was 11 moons when he died and has been dead for 10. He was daring and was a medecine cat apprentice. He often feel guilt for leaving the clan with only one medecine cat. He is very sad that almost no one missed him , and that some cats had a "wonderful time" talking about his death. He doesn't understand why he was unliked by so munch adult cats and why Bitestar stole his feather. Poor Copperpaw. He deserved better. He was a clan founder !

STARCLAN

In my universe, unlike in canon, StarClan can interfere with the world of the living but also functions much closer to our concept of the afterlife. It is a spiritual and supernatural place that cannot be observed but there are occasions when cats with "special" abilities can communicate with StarClan under certain conditions.

Cats with these abilities can communicate with StarClan at Three Trees, the burial site of the Fang Trio, and can receive prophecies and messages. These cats act as messengers between the Clans and the cats of StarClan.

THE WARRIOR CODE

The Warrior Code is a concept that doesn't strictly exist, however, there is an unspoken set of rules that the Clans and Clan cats follow in their daily lives to ensure a peaceful existence alongside each other. There are a handful of rules which are universal, such as protecting the young and elderly, though the stances on other rules can vary from leader to leader.

HISTORY AND CULTURE

The clans were founded in the early 1900s, though how they actually came to be is unknown to the current generation of Clan cats, however, many legends and stories surround the founders of the original three clans. Of these legends and stories, only one has ever been believed by Clan cats to be truthful, though some cats are even doubtful of this since these stories all come from the elders.

Due to the introduction of herbs and plants into the Clans and the training of Herbalists, the Clans are a lot larger than they were in the past and this has made survival more important than ever, especially due to the current famines that are occurring.

Though the Clans were originally created to be a unification of cats under the Fang Trio, eventually there were periods of infighting and conflict which led to separation into four clans rather than the original three.

Currently, the political state of the Clans is complicated. Some moons, they are living peacefully, though other moons are wrought with conflict and violence. Right now, they are somewhere between the two, with WoodClan still recovering from the reign of their previous leader, Woodstar, who had led the Clan to the brink of starvation.

RANKS WITHIN THE WARRIOR CLANS

The ranks within the Clans are much different in my universe than they are in Warriors canon. There are many more ranks, as well as titles that the most prestigious and honoured cats may receive. Other cats may also receive significant titles based on achievements, and a special ceremony is held in order for a title to be bestowed. Among the Clans, this is known as the Honouring Ritual.

WARRIOR RANKS

Sentinel

A Sentinel is a highly respected and crucial role within the Clan, typically filled by the most vigilant and experienced Warriors. These seasoned Warriors are entrusted with the vital task of guarding the Clan's territory and ensuring the safety of their fellow Clanmates. Their duties include conducting border patrols to detect and respond to potential threats, such as intruding predators or rival Clans, as well as performing nightly vigils at the camp entrance. Sentinels must remain alert and observant, ready to act swiftly to protect the Clan and maintain its security.

Beyond physical demands, the role of a Sentinel is mentally challenging, requiring not only combat skills but also the wisdom and experience to anticipate and address dangers. Their presence as the first line of defense is a key factor in the Clan's survival, and their unwavering dedication symbolizes the strength, loyalty, and protective values of the Clan. As such, Sentinels are held in high regard, their commitment and vigilance serving as a cornerstone of the Clan's security and peace of mind.

Mentor

A Mentor in the Clans is a prestigious role given to experienced Warriors who are responsible for training young Apprentices, preparing them to become full-fledged Warriors. This involves not only teaching combat techniques but also instructing in stealth, hunting, and other essential skills for survival. A key part of a Mentor's role is to instill in their Apprentices the Warrior Code, ensuring they understand the values of loyalty, honour, and respect that are central to Clan life.

The bond between Mentor and Apprentice is significant and often extends beyond the Apprentice's training period. Mentors serve as role models, shaping their Apprentice's character and guiding them in understanding their responsibilities within the Clan. The effectiveness of a Mentor is seen in the growth and maturity of their Apprentice, making mentorship a vital aspect of the Clan's continuity and strength.

Fighter

In the Clans, the rank of Fighter is a prestigious title bestowed upon the most ferocious and formidable Warriors, those whose exceptional combat skills and fierce demeanor have earned them high regard within their Clan. Fighters are often seen as the ultimate defenders of their Clan, possessing not only raw strength but also a deep understanding of battle tactics and an unyielding spirit. Their prowess in combat sets them apart from other warriors, marking them as individuals who can be relied upon in the most perilous situations.

The duties of a Fighter are extensive and vary from Clan to Clan, reflecting the unique challenges and threats faced by each group. However, common responsibilities include fending off predators that pose a danger to the Clan, such as large predators or rival animals, as well as engaging in combat with Fighters from other Clans during territorial disputes or wars. Fighters are often called upon during times of conflict, their skills pivotal in ensuring the Clan's survival and dominance. Due to their exceptional abilities and the critical nature of their role, Fighters are frequently honoured in special ceremonies, such as the Honouring Ritual, where they are often bestowed with significant titles that recognize their contributions and valor. This recognition not only solidifies their status within the Clan but also serves as an inspiration to other Warriors, highlighting the importance of strength, bravery, and dedication to the Clan's cause.

Hunter

The rank of Hunter is a specialized and respected position reserved for members who exhibit exceptional skill in the essential tasks of hunting, foraging, and scavenging. Hunters are the lifeblood of the Clan, responsible for ensuring a steady supply of food and resources that sustain their fellow Clanmates. This rank is typically awarded to younger and more agile cats, whose speed, sharp reflexes, and keen senses make them particularly adept at these critical tasks.

While most Hunters focus on honing their hunting skills, mastering the art of stalking prey and making swift, precise kills, they are also required to possess a basic knowledge of both foraging and scavenging. This versatility is crucial, as the availability of prey can fluctuate with the seasons, and the Clan must rely on other sources of sustenance during lean times. Foraging involves gathering edible plants, herbs, and other natural resources, while scavenging may require locating and retrieving carrion or other usable materials from the environment. Protector

The rank of Protector holds a critical role within the Clan, embodying the essence of loyalty, vigilance, and strength. Protectors are the backbone of the Clan's defense, ensuring the safety and stability of both the leadership and the broader community. Their primary function is to safeguard the Clan's leaders, such as the High Saint or Ambassadors, who rely on Protectors to shield them from any potential threats, both external and internal. These Protectors are typically the most experienced and battle-hardened members of the Clan, trusted for their unwavering dedication and exceptional combat skills. They serve as a personal guard unit, constantly by the side of the leadership, ready to act at a moment's notice to preserve the well-being and authority of those in power.

Meanwhile, the younger and less experienced Protectors take on a slightly different, yet equally important, role within the Clan. These Protectors are assigned to patrol groups, where they learn the intricacies of their duties under the guidance of a Sentinel. These patrol groups are responsible for scouting the Clan's territory and ensuring that it remains free from threats such as predators, rival Clans, or other dangers. Patrols are meticulously scheduled to take place at Sun Rise, Sun High, and Sun Fall, ensuring that the Clan’s borders are consistently monitored throughout the day. These patrols are not only vital for maintaining the security of the Clan’s territory but also serve as a rigorous training ground for young Protectors, helping them to develop the skills, instincts, and discipline required to eventually ascend to the ranks of those who guard the leadership. Through this structured and tiered approach, Protectors play an indispensable role in maintaining the integrity, safety, and continuity of the Clan.

HEALER RANKS

Prophet

Within the Clans, the role of Prophet is a revered and mystical position, reserved for those who have been blessed with the extraordinary ability to communicate directly with StarClan, the ancestral spirits who guide and watch over the living. Prophets are not merely Healers; they are considered the spiritual leaders of the Clan, serving as the voice of StarClan and interpreting the will of their ancestors. These cats are chosen based on their ability to establish a strong connection with StarClan, a gift that is both rare and sacred. The depth and clarity of this connection determine a prophet's standing within the Clan’s spiritual hierarchy.

The internal ranking system of Prophets reflects the varying degrees of their connection to StarClan, with the highest rank being a Cassiopeian Prophet and the lowest an Orion Prophet. A Cassiopeian Prophet, akin to a cardinal in human religious systems, holds the greatest spiritual authority and is often seen as the chief interpreter of StarClan's will. This Prophet guides not only their own Clan but also provides spiritual counsel to other Clans, making them a figure of immense influence and respect.

On the other end of the spectrum, an Orion Prophet, comparable to a deacon, may have a less direct connection with StarClan but still plays a crucial role in the spiritual life of the Clan. These Prophets may assist in rituals, offer guidance to younger cats, and support the higher-ranking Prophets in their duties. Together, Prophets at all levels work to ensure that the will of StarClan is understood and followed, maintaining the spiritual health and unity of the Clan.

Shaman

The Shaman within a Clan holds a deeply sacred and mystical role, standing apart from other Healers due to their unique and extraordinary abilities. Unlike typical Healers who focus on the physical well-being of their Clanmates, a Shaman serves as a crucial link between the visible world and the spirit world. This cat possesses the rare and revered gift of being able to leave their physical body and travel into the spirit realm, a skill that is both awe-inspiring and vital to the spiritual health of the Clan. The Shaman’s role is not only to heal physical wounds but also to navigate the complex spiritual landscape, ensuring harmony between the living and the spirits of their ancestors.

One of the Shaman's most important duties is to assist Cassiopeian Prophets during burial rites. In this capacity, the Shaman plays a key role in ensuring that a Warrior’s spirit is properly guided into StarClan, the revered afterlife where the Clan’s ancestors reside. This sacred responsibility involves intricate rituals and deep spiritual knowledge, as the Shaman helps to secure the safe passage of the deceased, ensuring they join the ranks of StarClan.

Beyond this, the Shaman possesses a unique and formidable ability unmatched by any other Clan member: the power to communicate with the spirits of both the Dark Forest and the Unnamed Residence — realms associated with the more malevolent or lost souls. This ability to interact with these darker aspects of the spirit world makes the Shaman an essential figure in protecting the Clan from potential spiritual dangers, as well as offering a chance for redemption or understanding for those spirits that dwell outside of StarClan's light. The successor of the Shaman is chosen explicitly by StarClan once the previous Shaman has passed on.

Herbalist

Within a Clan, the rank of Herbalist is a fundamental and highly valued position, despite being the most common among Healers. These cats are the medical experts of the Clan, possessing extensive knowledge of the various herbs and plants that grow within their territory and beyond. Although their role might seem ordinary compared to the more mystical ranks like Shamans or Prophets, Herbalists are actually among the most crucial members of the Clan. They experience vivid, often prophetic visions that provide insights into what StarClan is currently doing or revealing. Seers are expected to provide the Clan's leaders with guidance that aligns with the will of StarClan, helping them to make informed decisions that will shape the future of the Clan. This direct line to the divine and the foresight offered by their visions make seers invaluable assets, as they help the Clan anticipate and prepare for what lies ahead, ensuring that their strategies and actions are in harmony with the broader spiritual direction provided by their ancestors.

APPRENTICE RANKS

Trainee

The rank of Trainee is a fundamental stage in a young cat's development within the Clan, marking the transition from a carefree Sacred to a disciplined and skilled member of the Warrior ranks. Unlike other Apprenticeships that might be geared toward a specific role within the Clan, Trainees are given a broad and comprehensive education that prepares them for any potential path under the rank of a Warrior. This phase of training is designed to equip them with a well-rounded set of skills, ensuring they are versatile and adaptable, ready to serve the Clan in whatever capacity is needed when they reach maturity.

Each Trainee is assigned to a Mentor, an experienced Warrior who takes on the responsibility of guiding their development. Mentors usually oversee groups of three or four Trainees, creating a collaborative learning environment where young cats can learn from both their Mentor and each other. The training they receive is extensive and covers a wide range of essential Warrior skills. This includes combat techniques to prepare them for battles, hunting strategies to ensure the Clan is well-fed, as well as specialized abilities such as climbing and swimming — vital for navigating the varied terrains within and beyond their territory. Mentors tailor their instruction to suit the needs and strengths of their Trainees, often incorporating additional skills they deem valuable, depending on the specific challenges the Clan may face. This period of rigorous training is crucial, as it lays the foundation for the Trainees to grow into capable and resourceful Warriors, ready to uphold the honor and security of the Clan. The Trainee training period typically lasts until the Trainee reaches the age of twelve moons.

Junior Herbalist

The rank of Junior Herbalist is a specialized apprenticeship within the Clan, dedicated to training young cats to become full-fledged Herbalists, the primary Healers. This apprenticeship lasts as long as a general Trainee's, but its focus is exclusively on the medicinal arts. Each Junior Herbalist is paired with a seasoned Herbalist Mentor who teaches them to identify various plants, understand their medicinal properties, and apply them correctly. This hands-on training covers everything from treating wounds and infections to curing illnesses, ensuring a thorough understanding of herbal medicine.

In addition to their theoretical education, Junior Herbalists accompany Hunters on foraging patrols. These patrols provide practical field training in identifying and harvesting the necessary herbs in their natural habitats. This dual approach ensures Junior Herbalists are well-versed in both the knowledge and practical skills required for their role. By the end of their apprenticeship, they are fully prepared to transition into the rank of a full Herbalist, ready to maintain the health and well-being of their Clan.

Disciple

The rank of Disciple is a specialized branch of Apprentice within the Clan, distinguished by their unique connection to StarClan and their innate spiritual abilities. Unlike regular Apprentices who are trained for various Warrior roles, Disciples are carefully chosen by Prophets and Seers due to their remarkable potential to communicate with StarClan. Often, these young cats have already begun receiving messages or visions from their ancestors, though they typically struggle to understand or interpret the spiritual guidance they receive. This natural but unrefined connection to the divine sets them apart, marking them as future spiritual leaders or guides within the Clan.

Disciple training is an open-ended process with no fixed completion date. Unlike other forms of apprenticeship, which have a clear timeline, the training of a Disciple continues until they demonstrate sufficient proficiency in their spiritual abilities. This training is deeply immersive and involves learning how to interpret visions, understand divine omens, and accurately receive messages from StarClan. The Cassiopeian Prophet, one of the highest spiritual authorities within the Clan, plays a crucial role in this process, assessing each Disciple's progress. Only when the Cassiopeian Prophet is confident in a Disciple's ability to reliably connect with and interpret StarClan's will do they declare their training complete. This rigorous and deeply spiritual journey prepares Disciples for their future roles as spiritual conduits within the Clan, ensuring that they are ready to guide their Clanmates with wisdom and divine insight.

Apprentice Mentor

The rank of Apprentice Mentor is a distinguished position within the Clan, separate from the general Apprentice rank, and is reserved for those young cats who have shown a particular talent for assisting their fellow Apprentices during their own training. This role is not automatically assigned but is instead offered to those Apprentices who have demonstrated a natural inclination towards leadership, guidance, and teaching. Typically, a Mentor may recommend a cat for this role after observing their helpfulness, patience, and ability to effectively support and instruct others in their group.

Becoming an Apprentice Mentor is unique within the Clan because it is one of the few ranks that a cat can pursue by request rather than being assigned based on necessity or ability alone. Once an Apprentice expresses interest and is deemed suitable, they undergo a specialized training period that is notably shorter than that of regular apprenticeship, lasting only six moons. Despite its brevity, this training is intense and requires a great deal of patience and dedication. Apprentice Mentors are taught how to refine their teaching techniques, learn more advanced skills, and develop the qualities necessary to guide younger Apprentices through their training. The goal is to prepare them not only to excel in their own warrior duties but also to take on the responsibility of mentoring future generations of Clan members, ensuring the continued strength and unity of the Clan.

Mediator

The rank of Mediator is a specialized Apprentice role within the Clan, designed for those destined to become Ambassadors — cats who play a crucial role in mediating and overseeing negotiations between various parties, whether within the Clan or between the Clan and external groups. Unlike other apprenticeships, the path to becoming a Mediator begins only after a cat has completed twelve moons of foundational Warrior training under the guidance of a Mentor. This ensures that aspiring Mediators possess a solid understanding of the Clan's culture, values, and warrior skills before embarking on their specialized training.

Once the initial Warrior training is complete, Mediator training focuses intensely on the development of negotiation and diplomacy skills. This period of training is relatively brief, lasting only four to six moons, but it is highly concentrated and tailored to the specific abilities and previous experiences of the Apprentice. During this time, the Mediator Apprentice hones their ability to navigate complex discussions, mediate disputes, and foster understanding between conflicting parties. The training emphasizes the importance of neutrality, empathy, and strategic thinking, all essential qualities for an effective Ambassador. Upon completion, the Mediator is well-prepared to take on the vital role of ensuring peaceful and fair resolutions to conflicts, safeguarding the interests of the Clan while maintaining harmonious relationships both within and beyond their borders.

LEADERSHIP RANKS

Herald

The Herald of a Clan holds a position equivalent in rank to that of a Deputy in traditional Warriors canon, serving as a key advisor and right hand to the High Saint, the Clan's leader. This prestigious role involves a wide range of responsibilities that are crucial to the smooth functioning of the Clan. One of the primary duties of the Herald is to assist the High Saint in overseeing various ceremonial aspects of Clan life, such as Naming Ceremonies where young cats receive their official names and ranks, and Honouring Rituals that celebrate significant achievements or transitions within the Clan.

In addition to their ceremonial duties, the Herald plays a vital role in maintaining communication and diplomacy between Clans. They are entrusted with the responsibility of carrying official messages and representing the Clan during crucial gatherings. Every full moon, the Herald is tasked with attending the Gathering, an important meeting where representatives from all Clans come together to discuss matters of mutual concern, resolve disputes, and share news. During these Gatherings, the Herald serves as the voice of their Clan, delivering messages and negotiating on behalf of the High Saint, ensuring that the Clan's interests are well-represented and that relations with other Clans remain stable and constructive. The role of the Herald is, therefore, integral to both the internal harmony of the Clan and its external diplomatic relations.

Ambassador

The Ambassadors of a Clan are esteemed diplomats who hold the crucial responsibility of managing negotiations, trade agreements, and other diplomatic engagements on behalf of their Clan. These cats are more than just negotiators; they are the official representatives of their Clan's values, culture, and interests, ensuring that their Clan's voice is heard and respected in all external interactions. Ambassadors are carefully chosen for their keen understanding of diplomacy, their ability to navigate complex situations, and their skill in fostering positive relations with other Clans and outside groups. Their work often involves delicate discussions where they must balance the needs and desires of their own Clan with the expectations and demands of others, making their role essential for maintaining peace and securing beneficial alliances.

The High Saint is the revered leader of a Clan, a position of immense power and responsibility, chosen by the divine will of StarClan with the crucial assistance of the Shaman. Typically, the cat elevated to this esteemed role has already proven themselves as a Herald or an Ambassador, demonstrating the leadership qualities and diplomatic acumen necessary to guide the Clan. Once selected, the High Saint undergoes the sacred Leadership Rite, a profound ceremony where StarClan bestows upon them the extraordinary gift of nine lives.

Each of these lives is tied to a distinct personality trait, such as courage, wisdom, or compassion, which the High Saint must nurture and embody throughout their leadership. This unique blessing not only extends their physical lifespan but also deepens their spiritual connection to StarClan, enhancing their ability to lead with a multifaceted perspective.

OTHER RANKS

Elder

The Elders of the Clan are esteemed senior members who, due to age, injury, loss of sight, or illness, are no longer able to fulfill the physical demands of hunting or fighting. These cats, who have dedicated much of their lives to the service of the Clan, are held in high regard and treated with deep respect. Their advanced years and accumulated wisdom make them valuable sources of knowledge and experience, though their contributions are now more often in the form of guidance and counsel rather than direct action.

In their retirement, Elders receive dedicated care from younger Clan members, particularly the Apprentices. The Apprentices are responsible for bringing fresh-kill to the Elders, ensuring their dietary needs are met, and performing tasks such as picking out fleas and changing their bedding to maintain their comfort and health. Most Elders are retired Warriors or Healers, who have served the Clan in various capacities before stepping down from their active roles. However, Shamans are an exception; they often continue to practice their spiritual duties until the end of their lives, contributing to the Clan’s spiritual guidance.

Despite their retired status, many Elders are viewed as repositories of invaluable Clan history and tradition, offering insights and wisdom that continue to shape the Clan's values and decisions. Scholar

A Scholar is a revered position held by an Elder within the Clan who undertakes the crucial role of documenting and preserving the Clan's history. This role, while not officially recognized as a formal rank within the Clan's hierarchy, is highly valued for its importance in maintaining the Clan's collective memory. The Scholar meticulously records significant events such as births, deaths, and other key occurrences that shape the Clan's legacy. This record-keeping is essential for ensuring that future generations of Clan cats have access to a detailed account of their history, including the achievements, struggles, and milestones of their predecessors.

Although the role of Scholar is not formalized with specific duties or rank, it is considered integral by the Clan due to its impact on cultural continuity and historical preservation. Scholars often possess a deep understanding of the Clan’s traditions, legends, and lineage, making them vital custodians of the Clan's heritage. They work to ensure that the knowledge and experiences of past generations are not lost but are passed down to younger members. By documenting the Clan’s history, Scholars play a significant role in shaping the identity and values of the Clan, fostering a sense of continuity and connection among its members. Their efforts help to ensure that the Clan's legacy endures, providing future generations with a rich tapestry of their shared past.

Blessed

The rank of Blessed is a revered status within the Clans, conferred upon she-cats who are either expecting kits or are actively caring for their own. This rank is not merely a functional role but is imbued with deep spiritual significance. A she-cat who becomes a Blessed is often viewed as having received a divine favour from StarClan, as it is believed that only by the will of StarClan are these she-cats blessed with the gift of motherhood. Consequently, Blesseds are highly esteemed by the Clan, embodying the Clan’s reverence for the sacred cycle of life and the belief that StarClan’s will is directly intertwined with their role in nurturing the next generation.

In addition to those who are pregnant or nursing, the rank of Blessed can also extend to she-cats who, while not bearing kits of their own, choose to assist and support other Blesseds in the nursery. This selfless dedication to helping raise and care for the Clan’s young reinforces the communal aspect of Clan life, where the well-being of the young is a shared responsibility.

Regardless of their personal situation, Blesseds are honored for their role in ensuring the future of the Clan, and their position is seen as a testament to StarClan’s blessing and the importance of fertility and nurturing within the Clan’s spiritual and social structure. Sacred

The rank of Sacred refers to kits or kittens who are younger than six moons old within the Clan. These young ones hold a special status and are deeply revered by all Clan members, who regard them as divine gifts from StarClan. The reverence for Sacreds stems from the belief that their arrival is a direct blessing from the ancestors, and as such, they are afforded protection and care by every member of the Clan. Their presence is seen as a symbol of StarClan's favor and the continuation of the Clan's lineage and traditions.

Despite their significant status, Sacreds are typically unaware of the weight of their importance in Clan life due to their young age. The Clan places a great emphasis on ensuring their safety and well-being, viewing their nurturing as both a duty and an honor.

The loss of a Sacred, whether through stillbirth or miscarriage, is considered a profound tragedy and a serious omen from StarClan. Such events are deeply mourned, and although the occurrence is often interpreted as a sign or message from the spiritual realm, no Seer, Prophet, or Shaman has ever formally sought to clarify the meaning of these omens with StarClan. The interpretations surrounding these losses are left to the Clan’s collective beliefs and emotional responses, reflecting their deep spiritual connection and the significance they place on the lives of their youngest members.

AGE WITHIN THE WARRIOR CLANS

Moons

Being the Warrior equivalent to months, I prefer to use this concept of aging to refer to cats under a year, twelve moons, old. It makes aging a lot simpler to understand once the cats get older, as surely counting the seasons that pass is easier than counting every moon that passes.

Seasons

Using the number of a specific season passing to count a cat's age is done to simplify the work of a Scholar when noting a cat's age at time of death or some other important aspect of the cat's life. It also makes aging relatively easier for me to work out, as well. The season chosen to age a specific cat against is done so by choosing whichever season they were born in, for example: a cat who was born in winter would age 1 winter every time winter passes. It is the same for every season. This version of aging is only used once a cat has passed twelve moons old.

CEREMONIES AND RITUALS

The Blessing Ceremony

The Blessing Ceremony is a significant and intimate rite performed by the Shaman and the High Saint when a Blessed she-cat gives birth to her kits. This ceremony marks a momentous occasion, celebrating the arrival of new life and affirming the sacred bond between the Clan, StarClan, and the newborns. The ceremony is held with great reverence, underscoring the importance of the Blessed’s role in continuing the Clan’s lineage and fulfilling what is believed to be a divine will.

During the Blessing Ceremony, the Shaman and High Saint conduct a series of rituals designed to honor the newborn Sacreds and ensure their well-being. The Shaman may perform prayers or chants to invoke the protection and guidance of StarClan, while the High Saint, as the Clan's leader, blesses the Sacreds with a special ceremony that often includes ceremonial markings or offerings to symbolize the Clan’s acceptance and hopes for the new lives. The ceremony is attended by key Clan members, including other Blesseds, who gather to witness and celebrate the event. This rite not only serves to bless the new kits but also reinforces the Clan's spiritual and communal values, highlighting the interconnectedness of life and the divine favor believed to be bestowed upon the Clan.

The Naming Ceremony

The Naming Ceremony is a significant rite in Clan tradition with two distinct versions, each marking important milestones in the lives of Clan members.

The first version of the Naming Ceremony occurs when an Apprentice reaches the end of their training and is ready to assume their role as a full-fledged member of the Clan. This ceremony represents the culmination of the Apprentice's journey from youth to maturity and their readiness to take on the responsibilities of a Warrior or other designated role within the Clan. During this ceremony, the Apprentice is formally given their adult name, signifying their transition from an Apprentice to a recognized and respected member of the Clan. The ceremony is often a communal event, celebrated with the presence of other Clan members who witness and honor the new name, marking the Apprentice's official acceptance into the Clan's ranks.

The second version of the Naming Ceremony takes place in conjunction with the Blessing Ceremony, celebrating the birth of new kits by a Blessed she-cat. In this version, the ceremony is dedicated to the naming of the newborn kits. The Blessed has the honour of choosing the names for her kits, which are then presented in the ceremony. The Shaman plays a crucial role in this version, ensuring that the chosen names are recognized and blessed by StarClan. This dual ceremony serves to both celebrate the arrival of new life and integrate these new members into the spiritual and social fabric of the Clan. It symbolizes the Clan's commitment to honoring the divine connection and continuity of their lineage, with the Shaman’s role reinforcing the belief that the names are spiritually significant and protected by StarClan.

The Honouring Ritual

The Honouring Ritual is a significant ceremony led by the High Saint before the entire Clan to recognize and celebrate the exceptional achievements of individual members. This ritual acknowledges various accomplishments, from reaching notable ages and completing challenging tasks to receiving scars in combat. It is a formal event where the High Saint highlights the contributions and milestones of the honoured cats, emphasizing their impact on the Clan.

The ceremony serves to publicly honour and celebrate these achievements, reinforcing the values of courage, dedication, and service within the Clan. By recognizing the efforts of its members, the Honouring Ritual fosters a sense of pride and unity, reinforcing communal bonds and upholding the Clan’s traditions.

The Leadership Rite

The Leadership Rite is a sacred and pivotal ceremony that marks the elevation of a cat to the position of High Saint, the leader of the Clan, who is chosen by StarClan. This important rite is conducted during a full moon, symbolizing the alignment of the Clan's spiritual and temporal realms. The ceremony is overseen by the Shaman, who guides the chosen cat through this profound transition, ensuring that the sacred aspects of the rite are honored.

During the Leadership Rite, the cat receiving this prestigious role is bestowed with nine lives, each representing a distinct personality trait. These traits are intended to shape and influence the High Saint's leadership, guiding their actions and decisions throughout their time in office. The nine lives symbolize not only a divine favor but also the diverse qualities that the High Saint must embody and cultivate to effectively lead and inspire the Clan.

The new High Saint also receives a new name with the suffix -star, signifying their elevated status and connection to the Clan's spiritual heritage. This ceremony is not only a formal transition but also a spiritual reaffirmation of the High Saint’s role as the Clan’s leader and the embodiment of its values and traditions.

The Burial Ritual

Before the Burial Ceremony takes place, the deceased Clan cat’s body is carefully transported to the center of the camp, where it is laid out for the Clan to pay their respects. Family members, close friends, and the cat’s Mentor or Apprentice gather around the body, keeping vigil through the night. This period of reflection and mourning allows Clanmates to share final words, offer comfort, and honor the life of their fallen companion. This communal gathering provides a time for personal farewells and emotional closure before the formal burial rituals begin.

The Burial Ceremony itself is a solemn and sacred event. The Shaman, with the assistance of the deceased’s loved ones, prepares the resting place for the body by encircling it with a row of carefully placed stones. This arrangement includes two symbolic gates: one for the living to pass through and another for the departed’s soul, signifying the transition between the mortal world and the afterlife. As the final ritual, the Shaman speaks words of blessing and guidance, invoking the favor of StarClan to ensure the departed’s soul is gently guided towards its eternal resting place in the spiritual realm. The ceremony serves both as a final act of respect and as a spiritual send-off, aiming to honor the deceased and facilitate their journey to StarClan.

Just some random Clangen angst thrown in my face when I’m casually playing and skipping a moon.

Russetstripe (blue text, top cat) and Caverneye (Yellow text, bottom cat) drowned together when Russetstripe jumped into a rushing river to save Caverneye but they both ended up dying. Now here’s some lore:

They’re littermates and look the most alike out of the litter

They’re the last ones of their siblings alive.

They both have kits that are apprentices together.

Russetstripe is a medicine cat.

Their father, Coldslash, has gone through a lot from his siblings dying and being the only potential heir, (I’m doing a kingdom challenge where basically the only cats allowed to be deputy/leader are from the founder cats also I started with only two of them, any descendants of them are royalty.) to being taken away by twolegs, to returning and being deputy again for a while to his niece and also I think he might have been from the first litter of the third generation. To being an elder then mediator and mediating several wars (which he also participated in earlier, there’s been a lot of wars). Then he’s also lost two mates and now all of his kits are dead. Yes the grief messages were sad. I imagine he’s trying to bind more with Russet’s and Cavern’s mates despite initially disliking them and with his grandkids who are now almost warrior age.

FOUNDER: Star Thunder

SCENT: Musty, earthy scent like the forest they live in. They rub their pelts in fresh plants.

PREY: Mice, voles, squirrels, shrews, stoats, weasels, occasional birds and rabbits.

CULTURE: ThunderKin are a rather courageous group of cats, known for their success in battle and powerful force in numbers. They aren’t afraid to speak their minds or fight for what they think is right. They have been known for their pride and strength for as long as any cat can remember.

These cats take the concept of legacy very seriously; it’s common to learn that members— even entire litters— will be named after those who are influential to the Kin.

TRADITIONS: At the end of every season, primarily in the winter and autumn, there are festivals held in honor of the Stars. They are done in hopes of pleasing their ancestors, allowing the cats a mild winter and plentiful summer ahead. The main event during these festivals are sparring matches.

At the beginning of every Newleaf, competitions are held within the kin to elect a “captain” of the septs and blacksmiths. Through various shows of strength and strategy, every able cat participates in challenges with the goal of winning every round. The competition is overseen by the kin’s tanists, mediators, and general, who has the final say. When a cat wins, they will keep the role until the following year, where they can participate again if they want to keep it. Cats can earn the role more than once. An apprentice version of these competitions are also held; the reward is early graduation into sept-hood.

During Greenleaf, ThunderKin invites the other four Kins to participate in a week of further competitions known as the Storming Quarter. They are similar to the format of those held in Newleaf, though it is only septs and apprentices participating. The winner is not given a new rank; instead, they are given an honorary title: the Lightning Strike. There is a winner from each Kin (known as the Warning Thunder), which, at the end of the week, all face off to be the finalist.

Every three moons the blacksmiths of ThunderKin hold marketplaces at the Four Trees for their wares. It is common for cats to commission new armor from them at this time. RiverKin artisans and ShadowKin scholars frequently show up as well; crafting materials and prey are the most common forms of payment. The ravens and other corvids in the territories may also show up to the marketplaces, seeing it as a perfect opportunity to trade with the Kin cats.

UNIQUE RANKS: The general and blacksmiths.

The general of ThunderKin is a unique rank that dates back to the days of Nimbus and Cirrus, implemented officially by Star Thunder as an homage to Star Wind and her expertise in battle-planning. A general’s role in day-to-day life is intertwined with the tanists’; they often help organize patrols and keep records of what is happening in ThunderKin. They are seen as headmasters of sorts to the mentors and their apprentices, overseeing training and approving what is taught. An apprentice’s mentor can declare when they think their apprentice is ready to graduate, but the final assessment and ultimate decision is made by the general.

When it is time for ThunderKin to go into battle, the general may lead and participate, but it is primarily expected for them to plan. Battle tactics are drawn in the dirt and bones are used to represent those in the fray, helping determine their positions; it is very similar to the layout of human chess games. (A playable version of the general’s tactics is considered a riveting pass time for those in the Kin, especially apprentices and elders.)

The rank of ThunderKin general is not something that is trained for like a blacksmith or druid; it is earned over time. Promotions are made directly by the Kin’s leader and are primarily given through acts of courage during conflict or disaster. Sometimes the role can be given outside of these things, but a cat must truly prove themselves to deserve it.In times of peace, if there is no current general, tanists will take over the duties until conflict arises and/or a new general is appointed.

Blacksmiths are taught how to handle fire and various tools in order to create weaponry and armor. They use scraps of metal found around the twoleg villages or through trade. my third leader (apricotstar) was mates with a she-cat named rowanpetal, the only daughter of the lesbian leader/med founder power couple. they were cute and apricotstar had close relationships with his mothers-in-law. the leader shiverstar eventually picked him as deputy

he became leader after she died of heartbreak/old age a few months later. he had kits with rowanpetal and they were happy

then rowanpetal dies giving birth to their second litter (she was 156 moons old...) and apricotstar contracts lasting grief. he makes petalpaw his own apprentice and, literally the event after, he wounds her for disobeying his orders. every other month he hurt petalpaw for something or another-- SPECIFICALLY petalpaw-- while having statuses like "apricotstar considers petalpaw his best friend." petalpaw's own older siblings hated her too, her only friend was her sister plumpaw

so petalpaw becomes petalbranch and plumpaw becomes plumpounce. around the same time, a former loner (emeraldpatch) and her 4 kits seek shelter, and she becomes apricotstar's next victim (alongside petalbranch). poor girl is completely battered in-game

plumpounce challenges apricotstar about his treatment of her sister and emeraldpatch, so he blinds her. he winds up losing a life, too

so he keeps being a violent prick to his younger daughters, random pregnant women, and deputy (daisyheart) until emeraldpatch challenges him one last time and they both kill each other. which should be the end right?

peachpetal, petal and plum's older sister, gets into an argument over kits with her mate (rootshiver) and they break up. so rootshiver starts hanging out with petalbranch (not as a rebound, he had no romantic feelings toward her and she had a mate herself). peachpetal is PISSED and MURDERS petalbranch. peachpetal anticlimactically dies from old age

THEN rosedrift, peach and root's daughter, murders daisystar and her brother nectarstar becomes leader (nectar was a pretty chill guy so he wasn't involved). she has 3 outsider kits (spoilers, 2 are bloodthirsty but don't kill anyone) and is killed by a dog

cardinalflower and driftsky (the bloodthirsty twin brothers) have pretty normal lives and so does peonypetal, until she becomes leader and kills her deputy-niece robinshiver??? and is exiled alongside her daughter (azaleadance) who murdered her medicine cat cousin and step-sister

skip forward a couple generations where cardinalflower's granddaughter flowerstar is leader, and her daughter ambertail kills her. literally all this because apricotstar inflicted generational trauma on his children. i hate him so much

Honeystar is the founder of Laburnumclan. She and other 7 members of her old clan had to flee because they’ve lost their territory to the other 3 clans. For 4 moons they had to travel to find a new home. On their journey, Honeydapple sort of became the leader of the group, and was also declared to be the leader of their new Clan, LaburnumClan. The reason they called it “Laburnum” is, that when they finally found a place to stay, (with 3 other Clans :)) a Leaf of a Laburnum tree showed them the direction of where their new camp should be. Lemonshade interpreted that sign, but Honeystar mostly named it to honor her dead mother Laburnumstar, (our SC guide) who sadly died defending their old territory. Honeystar really loved her (Laburnumstar is kinda annoyed of her) so it’s even better that she has a deep SC bond so she can visit her many times :D (Laburnumstar is suffering)

After all, Honeystar is very optimistic and open to a lot of things. Her bestfriend is Lasagna who she really trusts. It’s not that easy to bring her mood down or make her dislike you. Insert “happy happy happy” sound

Lasanga was formerly kitty pet, then a loner, a kitty pet again, but after her last owner died in tragic car accident she became a loner again (I totally did not just improvised this). One day Lasanga stumbled across that group of sad and traumatized cats that were looking for a new home, and since she had nothing better to do, she decided to join them :) Lasanga became best friends with Honeystar in a short time and proved herself being very reliable and loving to the others. Everyone was fine with her being the new deputy and she takes her role very seriously (but in a fun way yk) Lasanga is very outgoing and tries to be friendly with everyone (she’s like pinky pie but CAT). Sometimes she challenges with Blizzardtail and others may think they have a little rivalry. They do. Batpaw and her have a good relationship, Lasanga often makes her laugh and cares a lot abt her apprentice :)

Lemonshade adopted Lavenderpaw when he was only 2 moons old because his parents died. Other than him, has no special cats in his life but it’s not because he wants to be alone, he’s just introverted and there was no extrovert that adopted him yet.

Sparkclaw gives off Claire Vibes from modern family. Mhm. She’s always very awkward with her apprentice Lavenderpaw. One reason for that is Sparkclaw constantly misgendering Lavenderpaw because she thinks his name is ✨too girly✨.

If Blizzardtail were a human, his favorite music would be Justin Bieber aaand Justin Timberlake. His human name would probably be Justin too. Blizzardtail is very charming to everyone, even to the ones that don’t like him. Sometimes he’s bragging about his skills and mostly his EYES 👁️🫦👁️ He’d sat in front of a puddle and look at them, then turn around to any poor cat walking by and give them the Flynn rider look. He has too much self esteem. But all in all he’s a pretty nice guy :) He does a pretty good job in mentoring Shimmerpaw etc. (what else am I supposed to write???)

Batpaw is like that cool gothgirl you wanna be friends with so bad but you’re too afraid to talk to her because she looks a bit mean. But she’s not really, Batpaw just need the right cats around her, like Lasagna or Lavenderpaw :) She’s hardworking and popular around others but that’s not interesting for her. She’s interested in stalking that one gay couple from PineClan.

Shimmerpaw acts like Sasuke and likes to think of himself as a cool mysterious guy, while stumbling over his own feet. He’s still nice to everyone, just has a little maincharacter complex. He secretly admires Batpaw and after accidentally telling that Blizzardtail, he always wants to give him tips on how he could get closer to her. The last training session he wanted Shimmerpaw to learn his extremely seducing Flynn rider look. Shimmerpaw cried after that.

(Since I love comparing them to other characters) Lavenderpaw ist most likely like Sebastian from stardew valley :D Lemonshade is his adoptive father, since both of his parents died shortly after he was born. He’s not very close to anyone else in the clan, but likes Batpaw very much. Sparkclaw kind of annoys him, atleast Lemonshade is there to cheer him up :)

Iciclecatcher is a sneaky little grandma (actual grandma of Blizzardtail) that everyone likes :D She’s kind and determined to always do the right thing (mostly for herself) but that doesn’t mean she’s egocentric or smthing like that, she’s always there to lend a helping hand. Not only because of that, she adopted little Silverkit, a loner kitten that wouldn’t have survived without help. She loves him with all her heart and loves to tell the younger ones stories.

Silverkit is living his best live :) Even though he wonders what happened to his real parents he would never give up the life he has now. He’s optimistic and loves spending time with the other clanmates, especially his adoptive (grand)mother Iciclecatcher. Best cuddler in LaburnumClan. 10/10. 5 of 5 stars. Slay.

I didn’t want to write much more abt the family status of the cats, but just assume that every other familymember either died or joined other clans/groups that will never meet up with LaburnumClan. i've never completed a full 10 generation legacy, but the closest i ever came to was my mahi'ai family legacy--link to plumtree in case anyone's curious--that i made probably about four or five years ago. both of these girls are cousins and were my next gen heirs, sharing the title, but i never played passed their teenagehood because my cc became outdated and then my laptop died 😔

gunnaifer glock ⭐ vampire legacy founder

okay gunnaifer is..she's special to me, ok. my first semester at college, as a joke i had two of my friends make vampires in the sims and then i made gunnaifer so we would each have a vampire. because vampires (technically) don't die, the legacy didn't get very far...but maybe someday i will share her heir, and apprentice, kovo'lettre.

sienna kibo ⭐"i'm surrounded by idiots" challenge gen2 heir

i don't remember much from this challenge other than it being a lot of fun, and showing me the extent of the parenting skill (lol). maybe i'll pick it back up with sienna, but it has stayed unplayed for years so...who's to say.

okay !! so cyra was created with a friend of mine a couple years ago, i think i played the challenge for about a week before outdated cc made me drop it (exactly like the classic legacy). cyra got to husband number 5 and she had 2 kids, and i don't remember her last name and i didn't write it down anywhere and i think that's both funny and sad. curse the game for automatically updating it when you get married !!! 😡

anika dreamer ⭐ nightmare legacy challenge gen2 heir

i don't remember much from my nightmare legacy, so when i opened it for the first time in a long time i was surprised to find all the sims i did remember had DIED. which. given the challenge made sense, but anyways so i revived anika to make her over. she had already completed her challenge and passed it on to one of her three sons, but she was a globally-renowned comedian and a stylish old lady. i love and miss her.

himiko kibo-tan ⭐ not-so-berry legacy gen3 heir

the one and only time i tried to do the nsb challenge, i got to himiko and i lost a lot of the motivation to play. i've thought about starting over, if not the whole thing than just generation three, but haven't gotten around to it. again, maybe someday !

THE LEGEND. im not even lying when i say that i spent multiple hours in the middle of the night, crazy out of my mind, trying to find this save. i must have deleted it for some reason ??? anyways, after accessing my old hard drive i finally found an older version of the save that had my baby rosalie in it. her makeover is probably my favorite. and yes, one of her parent's is morgyn ember. 🧙‍♂️

(reads tags) Ahh so I misunderstood the prompt a bit. I think the deities would be like the founders of the clans who got mythologized as time passed. Palkiacat being said to see anywhere across space and while Dialgacat was able to see anywhen across time. As for the wardens and the nobles, my first though was make them cats (and I like the idea of Sneasler being Ingo's mentor when he first joins Pearlclan), but if we really stretched the wc rules [1/5]

[ The nobles could be like other animals that are living in the area that have developed a mutual relationship with the clans for several generations. The wardens have similar roles to pla canon, but with slightly less of a religious bent. They're more ambassadors than attendants. There's a friendly badger that speaks cat in later series so it could work. And other predators are implied to be similarly sapient as the cats (sometimes) [2/5]

Canon warrior naming styles would be the most fun but just sticking to pla canon would be less potentially confusing. I don’t think Ingo would be super comfortable being renamed though. It’s like the one thing that he remembers and gives him a sense of identity in the aftermath so I don’t think he’d give it up even if it would make things easier for him. [3/5]

Hardest part of translating hisui to a smaller scale would trying to figure out how to make the alabaster icelands and the crimson mirelands work right next to each other. Though i guess you could rely on seasonal weather to do the heavy lifting. Winter and summer would be the times of year the respective regions most resemble their ingame counterparts. [4/5]

Also, its funny mentioned the leaders not being chosen and having only one life because in the current arc one of the clans is going through a succession crisis after the death of their leader and deputy and due to starclan being contactable right now due to events in the previous arc that's actually a pretty pressing concern. oooh mythologized clan founders (pearlstar and diamondstar?) is really fun. and then by extension would they also be like, the Founders of starclan? admittedly my recall for the starclan lore is not super fresh but maybe in this au there's something where like. they were the first cats that went to starclan when they died bc their souls like, created it, and subsequently all the clan cats got to join them in death. and the NOBLES BEING NON-CAT ANIMALS... that's very very fun i like that. i remember the badger i liked the badger this is fun. and then the wardens being like, apprentices/assistants to the nobles in whatever task they work with the clan for... but then it's also kinda hard to assign all of them to their own unique animals. like some of them are obvious but what about electrode? lilligant? avalugg? and idk abt the vibes of having these ten different animals all involved it might get to be a little Much on top of the regular warriors stuff

otoh sneasler being ingo's mentor at first is VERY fun yes. and that's an ez warrior name like she's direclaw bam done. idk if dire is a valid prefix but i also dont really care considering i already said "iridistar" earlier so i think we're past that point. i DO think warrior cats-ifying their names sounds like a fun challenge esp. if we want to pull occasionally from the fact that a lot of the pla names are derived from different plants. melli is now tea-something. sabi is spicepaw. and like... ingo being a clan cat but keeping his old name is kind of an interesting reverse ravenpaw thing BUT if we want to REALLY angst him up, and considering pearlclan would probably really prefer if he took a "normally" formatted name, we could just. say that he forgot even his name. and then eventually Remembers it later and gets to have that crisis

that's true abt the climate shift hmmm. WELL if it's similar to the regular landscape of hisui, we could say that they live on a mountainside and the climate shifts are due to verticality, w/ the "icelands" being the highest-up point that the cats usually venture to? which you still probably wouldn't get AS dramatic as canon hisui is, but you can get a pretty significant temperature change by moving up and down. and then you can maybe have diamondclan runners vs pearlclan climbers too.

MMMM the one thing i like more than worldbuilding for stupid things: interpersonal political drama. so juicy to me. and dont apologize this is very fun!! this is what we're here for! kicking ideas around!!

This hands-on approach was highly regarded as the most effective means of acquiring tattooing expertise. Unfortunately, many established tattoo artists would withhold their knowledge and fail to adequately educate or guide their apprentices. Furthermore, some would exhibit a sense of superiority and outright decline to share their expertise. Some others even went to the extent of exploiting their apprentices by making them clean the studios and toilets and made them run errands that were completely unrelated to the learning process. If they were lucky, they’d get a few hours of learning by standing and watching the artist create a tattoo on their client’s skin. Without even feeling confident or assured about their abilities, they were handed a tattoo machine and were told to practice on real human skin. Some were even practicing on fruits, which didn’t have the same texture or feel as human skin.
