ANA to Operate International Flights Out of Haneda T2 and T3 from 29 March
All Nippon Airways (ANA) has confirmed that it will start operating both domestic and international flights out of Terminal 2 at Haneda Airport (HND) in Tokyo, and continue to serve international flights out of Terminal 3 starting on 29 March 2020. With domestic and international flights at Terminal 2, passengers will no longer need to transfer between terminals to reach their connecting flight. The minimum connecting time (MCT) for domestic to international connections within Terminal 2 will be reduced from 70 minutes to 55 minutes.
“ANA has expanded its international service in order to meet the growing demand for travel to Japan, and the changes at Haneda Airport will equip us to meet passenger needs,” said Masaki Yokai, Senior Vice President of ANA. “We are excited about the prospect of strengthening our ability to offer convenient and efficient travel to our growing customer base.” Terminal 3 was formerly known as the International Terminal, and its new name was initially announced in February 2019. Officials at Haneda Airport chose to rename the terminal to simplify the flight experience for passengers. In light of these changes, ANA encourages passengers to check which terminal their flight will depart from before arriving at the airport. India’s Shuttl raises $18M to expand its app-based bus aggregator
Shuttl, a startup that runs an app-based bus aggregator service in India, said on Monday that it has raised $18 million in a new financing round as it looks to scale its business in the country.
Toyota Tsusho Corporate and SPARX Group, through its Mirai Creation Fund II, funded Shuttl’s Series C financing round, the four-year-old startup said. Shuttl — which is based in Gurgaon — has been backed by Amazon and raised about $66.5 million to date.
Shuttl operates about 1,800 buses that clock over 100,000 rides each day in six cities in India. Customers book their rides through the app and on-board the bus through specified bus stations.
The buses on the platform are equipped with a range of safety features such as an emergency button that automatically slows down the bus until completely stopping at the nearest bus stop. It also offers a live feed that any passenger could share with their loved ones.
Another mandatory feature requires drivers to identify themselves before starting the journey and take an instant alcohol test. Passengers, who are required to book a ticket in advance of riding the bus — different from how traditional buses operate in India — are also authenticated before they can get on with their rides.
These safety features have made the service especially popular among women, Amit Singh, cofounder and chief executive of Shuttl, told TechCrunch in a recent interview. More than 40% of Shuttl’s passengers are female, who find the rides on its buses a safer commute option. This is a promising feat, as women only make up for about 20% of India’s workforce, according to industry estimates.
Singh said that Shuttl, which recently added new routes in New Delhi, Chennai, and Kolkata, will use the fresh capital to grow within and beyond its circle of six cities.
Unlike Ola and Uber, Shuttl has been slow with its expansion. Singh explained that Shuttl’s business is different from any other app-based transportation service provider. “If they sign up a large number of drivers, they can service a city rather quickly. For buses, it is different. For one, a bus is not going to show up to a customer’s door. So you have to first figure out different routes. You have to identify a route, establish pick-up points, train drivers, and persuade customers to follow these routes,” he added.
But he is optimistic that Shuttl is inching closer to reaching “escape velocity” — which when it has hit, it would be able to scale at a faster pace.
In a statement, Shigeru Harada, chief operating officer for automotive division of Toyota Tsusho Corporation, said, “Shuttl has taken the lead in solving for traffic congestion and air pollution through a technology-enabled mass transport solution. We look forward to work together with them to disseminate relatively energy efficient MaaS solutions, such as Shuttl’s app-based mass transportation service, through our global network.”
Earlier this year, Shuttl started to provide meals on its buses. Singh said he continues to explore what all value-added services the startup could offer to customers and also to make best use of its logistics network.
As for numbers, Shuttl doubled its revenue in the fiscal year that ended in March. Its revenue crossed 100 crore Indian rupees, or $14 million.

West Bengal announces relaxations for standalone shops in various zones; liquor outlets reopen as people flout social distancing norms
Kolkata: The West Bengal government announced a series of relaxations on Monday in various coronavirus zones, even as reopening of liquor shops witnessed tipplers giving a thumbs down to the social distancing.
The state reported 11 deaths in the last 24 hours, pushing the death toll to 61, and the number of cases climbed to 1,259, Chief Secretary Rajiva Sinha said.
Follow LIVE updates on coronavirus outbreak here
Sinha announced a host of relaxations for standalone shops in various zones — red, green, and orange. He added that these concessions might dilute the lockdown for combating the COVID-19 pandemic.
Four districts, including Kolkata and Howrah, fall in the red zone, eight are in green and 11 in orange zones in the state. The Union Health Ministry has, however, identified 10 districts in the red zone.
Representational image. AP
Home Secretary Alapan Bandopadhyay announced that the state had added 72 more places to the list of containment zones, taking the total number of such areas in the state to 516.
The government has also launched a mobile app on its official website, 'Egiye Bangla', for people from other states who are stranded in West Bengal due to the lockdown and want to return to their native places.
Sinha said though the Centre had extended the lockdown by two weeks, it had given liberty to the state governments to allow certain activities after assessing the ground situation.
"We are of the opinion that these relaxations allowed by the Union government will dilute lockdown, but we would abide by it," Sinha said, adding: "We want a balance between life and livelihood."
"The state government feels that the activities which the central government has asked to recommence will be beneficial for the economy and wages can be paid to workers and employees, but the way the relaxations are being given, it is diluting the lockdown," he said.
Sinha said mining activities would be started in green and orange zones, and standalone shops in all the zones would be allowed to open from 10 am to 6 pm, except in the containment areas.
Clarifying that those shops that are not situated within shopping malls or market complexes would be considered as standalone shops, Sinha said neighbourhood shops, sweetmeat shops, those selling beetle leaves, and tea could open, but people would have to carry the tea back home where they can consume it.
Appealing to the private operators to run the buses in intra-district routes, the chief secretary said intra-district private bus services had been allowed with a maximum of 20 passengers in green zones.
"I have been told that in many places in green zones, buses are not operating. I would appeal to them to start services as government buses are busy in other duties," he said.
Construction activities in rural and urban areas were also allowed with workers being put up at the site, he said.
Noting that the private offices would be allowed to operate from 10 am to 6 pm with 25 percent staff strength outside containment zones, Sinha said all the guidelines had to be followed as a violation of the guidelines would call for legal action under the Disaster Management Act.
"Persons willing to go back to their native states can apply online through this 'Exit app' and permission for the same will be practically automatic and extremely easy," Bandopadhyay said.
Reacting to the state government's order on relaxations, several traders' bodies welcomed the decision but wondered whether it would be business as usual.
The bus operators, however, have rejected the proposal of running busses with just 20 passengers as "financially unviable".
Bus Minibus Coordination Committee general secretary Rahul Chatterjee said it was not at all viable to run buses with only 20 passengers since the amount earned from ticket sales would not be enough for meeting fuel expenses.
"We urge the government to requisition the buses as is done during elections for movement of polling personnel and security forces. The government can then run the buses on payment of a daily fee to the owners," he said.
Meanwhile, standalone liquor shops were reopened in green, orange and red zones, except in containment areas, after 42 days since the beginning of lockdown in the state on 23 March, but the police had a hard time in several areas of the city in ensuring tipplers adhere to social distancing norms.
Customers were seen waiting in queues outside liquor shops. But the moment the shops opened the shutters, they started elbowing each other in many places like Dumdum and parts of Kolkata.
The police had to rush to these shops to maintain law and order and some of these shops were shut within an hour.
"Police had to come to maintain law and order in front of the shop and ultimately closed it down. Several other shops were also shut down by them," an official said.
The liquor shop will operate from noon to 7 pm as per the latest government order, which also stated about the do's and don'ts, both for the customers and the shopkeepers.
In the past week, a total of 4,042 people have been arrested for violating lockdown in the city and 684 cars have been seized.

An A-Z Guide for the Magnificent MP Investors' Summit 2019
Magnificent MP 2019 Investors' Summit is all set to go live in the Indore city on 18 October 2019 at the Brilliant Convention Center. The event is supposed to attract angel investors in India and would be inaugurated by the CM of Madhya Pradesh- Kamal Nath. The MP government has been actively engaging with industry giants to explore the massive untapped potential of the state. It's an exhibition showcasing the strengths of Madhya Pradesh along with an investors’ summit.
The summit will bring out unprecedented waves of industrial development and socio-economic inclusion! Earlier it was supposed to last for 3 days, but now it has been reduced to just one. Now, Magnificent MP Investors' Summit 2019 will be held on 18 October 2019. It’s an exclusive platform for industries and countries to showcase their capabilities and achievements through a ‘Global Trade Exhibition’.
The event has been a flagship biennial business summit of the Madhya Pradesh government since 2007. It also goes by the name "Global Investors Summit". In the last summit organized in 2016, a whopping 2630 investments worth ₹5.63 Trillion were proposed! The government is really positive about this year's event being even more successful.
Let's take a look at the Magnificent MP Investors' Summit 2019 in detail:
An Ideal Platform For Key Stakeholders:
At the summit, industrialists will be interacting amongst the people on industry scenarios and technology advancements across 15 focused sectors. A complete gamut of sectors including Agriculture & Food Processing, Automobile & Engineering, Information Technology and ESDM, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, Logistics, Tourism, amongst others would be present at the event.
Notably, CM of Madhya Pradesh, Mr. Kamal Nath will be inaugurating the program. Some of the leading industrialists of India including Mukesh Ambani, Anand Mahindra, Kumar Mangalam Birla and Gautam Adani are amongst the invited guests. This exhibition provides a forum to promote the initiative ‘Make in Madhya Pradesh’.
Massive Opportunities for Madhya Pradesh:
According to a statement released by the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee, there has been a capital inflow of approximately Rs 30,000 crore in the Indore-Pithampur region. "The forward development-oriented measures taken by the state government are resulting in an atmosphere for investment." -media in-charge Shobha Ojha tells us. Also, she claims that the Magnificent Madhya Pradesh 2019 Summit shall be a historic success.
Numerous prestigious magnates are among the invitees. This centrally-located state is ideal for outlay as it boasts a road network of 2.3 lakh km, quality transport including air cargo facilities besides sharing borders with five states."
The state of Madhya Pradesh is a host to excellent opportunities for financing in agriculture and food-processing. It is because of the fact that the state tops in orange, tomato and garlic cultivation besides leading in milk production.
Special Focus on Key Areas-
The state government has focused special attention on investors in the medical sector in Madhya Pradesh. As per reports, big investors from the USA and Europe have also shown interest in this regard. To create a special identity, the government will hand over the investors of this region. Hence, it's an opportunity for big hospitals to open up in Bhopal, Indore and other cities of the state.

According to the Finance Minister Tarun Bhanot, during his recent stay in America, there had been a preliminary discussion with many investors in the region. Many of these investors have shown interest in the medical sector and especially in MP, so it is more likely that more people will be coming from this area. The government's effort is that after this investment, MP will emerge as a "hub" of medical tourism. People from all over the world would be coming here for treatment because the cost of medical treatment in America-Europe is very expensive.
Apart from this, the government has also placed a condition of giving 70% employment to the regional youth in the "agreement" with investors. This will increase employment opportunities in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It has been decided that only those industrialists would be invited who are committed to bringing investment in MP. The government has also assured to provide all possible facilities and infrastructure to such business investors.
The Preparations for Magnificent MP Investors' Summit 2019:
The Global Trade Exhibition 2019 will have a 77,500 sq. ft. of exhibition area. It will have a dedicated space for industries promoting the latest technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Robotics, Mobility, etc. People can participate in the ‘Global Trade Exhibition 2019’ to showcase what their companies have achieved. This includes– design, products, services and other technological advancements.
Indore International Airport is going to be decorated along the route leading to the city. As told by the Divisional Commissioner of Indore, a liaison officer and security officer would be appointed for each guest industrialist. Also, Municipal Corporation will ensure proper signage, street lights and repair the roads at all the major places.

From Smart Address Search to Plus Codes, Here's How Google Maps Is Indianising User Experience
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
India isn’t a new market for Google. The growing penetration of data already convinced the company to bring its innovations to the Indian market at a faster pace than many other markets. However, it is Google Maps that has been helping the search giant nowadays to bring end consumers, businesses, and the government under one roof. On the sidelines of a press conference in New Delhi earlier this week, Suren Ruhela, Director of Google Maps Next Billion Users, revealed the difficulties in localising the mapping service in the country.
“We want to make our maps more and more relevant for people across the world. But there are very few specific markets such as India where we have special strategies,” Ruhela told Gadgets 360.
Silicon Valley-based Ruhela arrived in India to launch three new features of Google Maps on Tuesday. Among the new features, there is the ability to search for addresses and add an address directly from the Google Maps app, localisation of plus codes, and voice navigation support in six additional Indic languages, including Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.
Ruhela and his team observed the significant differences between India and developed markets (such as the US and Western Europe), which were used to tweak Google Maps for use here. Street addresses are one such difference, as these are not nearly as standardised in India as they are in the more developed markets. Ruhela’s team blended machine learning with human inputs to deliver what it calls a Smart Address Search feature.
“In the US, every house has a number and every street has a name. This makes it easy to identify a place quite quickly,” said Ruhela. “But in India, those things don’t exist in the same manner. So, we need to adopt a lot more and innovate a lot more to make our product work really well.”
Google has provided an option for end users to add a specific address, to add locations more quickly. But to avoid any release of personal information, and to make sure that the provided information is accurate, the company reviews user submissions. “User-generated content for us is a very viable channel,” said Ruhela. “It’s not only just about adding addresses, there are people who are adding businesses and adding information about events and road closure. We believe that there is no other such way we will have for the information that we obtain directly from our users. We also have checks and balances in place and our algorithms ready to get as much information added to Maps as possible.”
Apart from household and business addresses, Ruhela tells Gadgets 360 that Google Maps offers information about public toilets for many cities. “Our nodal partnership for the public toilet listing is with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs,” he said. There are also partnerships with Zomato and Bookyourtable to let users directly book a table at a restaurant using the Google Maps app. Furthermore, Ruhela mentioned that the team behind Google Maps is working very closely with the traffic police authorities in Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai to surface information about planned road closures. “At the same time, we are also helping the authorities understanding the traffic pattern of the cities and proactively avoid traffic jams,” he added.
In addition to local listings, Google last year added real-time bus information for Maps users in Kolkata. The company partnered with West Bengal Transport Corporation (WBTC) to offer real-time updates for key WBTC transit routes. Ruhela hints that his team is now set to expand the initial development by expanding the public bus tracking to Delhi and Bengaluru. “We are talking to Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), and all of them in principle want to enable public bus tracking for their commuters,” he said, adding, “The authorities in question are currently at different stages of doing things, and in the next two to three years, you’ll see that [bus tracking] become more ubiquitous.”

At the Tuesday launch, the Google Maps team also announced the formal arrival of plus codes in India. Plus codes aren’t something all new for Google Maps users as these six-character codes have been on the app for sometime and are most simply the upgrade of Open Location Code (OLC) that was designed as a geocode system to identify places on the Earth with unique codes. Google Maps is now using the system particularly for India, in the form of a ‘six-character + city’ format.
Google isn’t the first to try and accomplish this in India. Earlier attempts have come from a company called Zippr, and MapMyIndia has a feature it calls eLocs as well, both of which aimed to standardise and simplify Indian addresses. Given Google’s massive scale though, it might grow faster than these alternatives.
MapMyIndia’s eLoc Wants to Be an Aadhaar for Your Physical Address
Unlike the original OLC system that was developed at Google’s Zurich engineering office back in October 2014 as an open-source solution, plus codes are meant to be a consumer-centric feature. “The plus codes addition is more relatable than OLC for sharing addresses from a consumer point of view,” said Ruhela. “The technology behind both developments is identical, though we improved it and made it more usable, and we now have a name which we believe makes a lot of sense.”
Google is projecting multiple use cases of plus codes in India, including their adoption by enterprises and even some government departments. “We are in initial talks with the Department of Post to understand if they have any plans to do something around addresses or are there any places where they find it is hard to locate the addresses and can plus codes be one of the solutions they can use. But nothing concrete yet, everything is at a very early stage right now,” said Ruhela.
Additionally, Google worked with BookMyShow in the past to offer plus codes on event tickets to help attendees navigate to the venue. Developers can also leverage the open-source nature of plus codes to integrate the coding system right into their apps.
At Google for India 2017 in December, Google Maps executives announced a two-wheeler mode that was designed by keeping in mind the Indian drivers. Ruhela says that in just three months of its launch, the two-wheeler mode has attracted 10 percent of the total Google Maps users in the country. “We are looking at more growth going forward,” he said.

Fun time again at Best Mobile App Development Company in Kolkata
It was a beautiful warm morning of a wintry day when the Supertronites boarded the office bus and headed towards Asha Cottage at Howrah for their annual picnic and it was clear from the very first moment that the day is going to one fun-filled day as all of them were in a mood to make a mark. After the hectic schedule of meetings, client presentation, and hasty arrangements, it is a picnic that provides us with much needed leisure. This annual picnic for the employees let them take the temporary relief from their routine life and work after which they feel fresh. And the Supertron picnic adds spice to the life of the supertronites. It provides the much sought after relief from the routine life. After this relieving and enjoyable picnic, the employers feel fresh and take up new work with renewed vigor.
It was the morning of 4th February when everyone gathered at the head office and two of the buses were waiting to take the cheerful crowd to their destination, Asha Cottage, Howrah. Everyone was handed the breakfast packet once the bus started and in no time it crossed the beautiful 2nd Hooghly Bridge and headed towards it’s destination. Once the destination was visible, everyone was shouting and cheering and was on their feet to jump on the breakfast table. It started with a great platter of Jalebi, Sandwich, Idly, Bada, Club Kachori, Samosha and what not! The supertronites were just finishing off their plates when the music was already at the full blow and games started. There were games for everyone. The children, women and men were on the full flow and the best web development company of Kolkata was seeing their best developers, android developers and digital marketing employees in the field with a whole different game. Hitting the ball, dart throwing, musical chair and lots and lots of them were there. And time was flying like a rocket. The photo-session, the gaming, the dance and music and small chit-chats were going on when the fuchkas, soups bowls, cold drinks and pakodas started to do their rounds. And it not long enough when the bells for lunch was on and it was the heavenly smell of the lunch that drew the crowd to the table. It was wonderful getting that splendid time while spending time outdoors, basking in nature, breathing fresh air and enjoying a great view with delicious food in the plate and not getting enough of the best of the lot.
And then it was time for the musical chair for the ladies and the fun was everyone was cheering and applauding while it was the four ladies standing, or rather say walking and was trying to grab the chair to secure at-least one prize. And then was the great event of HOUSIE. It was great to see the team winning the most number of prizes. Luck certainly favored the Supertronites!
It was a great time when the whole team gathered together and re-lived the moments and the camaraderie that they have. This is what keeps the team Supertron going. You can visit the moments here at https://www.supertroninfotech.in/2018-celebration.php
