i must cope with canon by posting cringe aus on main
thinking about my inquisitor!solas and hahren!lavellan au.
what if every lie had been true. what if he really was just a fade walking apostate hobo, but also a young dreamer, “hot blooded and cocky, always ready for a fight.” what if it had been him at the wrong place and the wrong time, with the world saving mark on his hand.
what if her plan had worked, and she slipped in with the other elvhen servants attending to the powerful humans at the conclave. what if she escaped the rubble of the explosion that killed the divine and watched a prideful young elf reach up to the sky and sew a tear in the world.
what if he called her hahren, and she called him lethallin. what if he told her of everything that the dalish have forgotten, and she told him about all the elves have made and loved.
what if he was the past, and she was the future.
what if she was an unabashed flirt. what if she was warm, and gentle, and cunning. what if she deflected with flattery and batted eyes when he asked about her ring.
what if he lead them to skyhold, and found her in the gardens. what if she hated the cold of the castle and loved the grass between her toes, and the sun on her cheeks, and the colorful people to talk to. what if she said she had the brownest of thumbs but the smell of fresh herbs reminded her of her late husband, poq.
what if he was drawn to her dreams, a moth to the sun, and kissed her in the fade. what if she kissed back. what if it made her cry, just a little.
what if she needed time to think, but started calling him somni’len. little dreamer.
what if he exiled the wardens and he could taste her disapproval on the air around them.
what if she flirted with Blackwall, and swapped bawdy stories with the iron bull, and refused to stop telling sera how much she reminded her of her daughter.
what if her late husband’s brother passes, and she must go to his clan to grieve. what if she needs him, and he goes with her. what if he was surrounded by dalish elves, and their pride chafed against his. what if they said things that were untrue, what if they did not believe the things he saw in the fade. what if he watched her hold her kin and share their grief and quelled the desire to debate. what if her daughter was there, and she had her eyes and a nose he didn’t recognize.
what if he offered her his wolf jaw necklace. what if he called her vhenan. what if he wanted to spend every day in her arms and every night in her dreams.
what if she refused. what if she clutched the hand with her wedding ring to her chest. what if she knew she loved solas but still loved her late husband. what if she never wanted to stop loving him. how could she give solas her heart when part of it would always belong to poq. how could she ever have called poq the love of her life and fall in love again. could she really be that greedy, that selfish. she could not do that to solas.
what if she was love, and it terrified her how much she had to give.
and what if he could share. what if he was glad to wear the mantle of vhenan that poq had left behind. what if he was happy to make his home in her heart right along side poq and their daughter, because he knew she’d cherish it like no other could. what if he had wisdom to see her love was bountiful enough for them all.
what if he travels to emprise de lion, with the cold that she hates, and she waits for him at skyhold. what if she puts the ring away in little bag with her daughter’s letters and wraps the chain of the wolf jaw necklace around her waist.
what if, when he returns, he finds her in the little gazebo at the back of the garden. she’s chatting with mother Giselle, as per usual, and spots the dark wolf jaw resting at the soft swell of her hip. he goes to her, a moth to the sun, and she beams up at him.
what if he tried to kiss her and instead of the softness of her lips on his he feels the glide of her fingertips. not here, she said. take me upstairs, she said.
what if he could not help himself (what if he never could with her). what if he had not even stripped himself of the leathers and metals of his traveling gear and swooped down and lifted her into his arms. what if she flushed down to the tips of her toes as they passed through the great hall.
what if varric calls out as they pass the fireplace. any words inquisitor? he would say.
not for you, master tethras. solas would say.
what if when he had her in his bed, he must force the air in and out of his lungs. what if when he ran his fingers over the places where the pale lines of her valasllin and the pale lines of her stretch marks met, he trembled. what if he watched the place where they were joined and felt the heat of another’s body for the first time, he cried. just a little bit.
what if she held him.
what if they held each other. what if they kept holding each other.
what if they buried their hearts in each other and made a home together.
the end?

Please tell me more about Ellana Lavellan x Eludysia Lavellan in your Arlathan AU. I’ve read one fic of them (I believe… with Solas and Felassan, yes?) and loved their dynamic. Gimme DEETS
Friend I would love to give you the deets. Eludysia belongs to the lovely @roseategales - who wrote the foursome you read - and this au is only one of many we have for our girls.
In this particular au, Eludysia is in Ghilan’nain’s service as an ambassador and Ellana is an archivist for Dirthamen. Ellana is also a recently embodied spirit of curiosity- she wanted the knowledge in Dirthamen’s libraries badly enough that she took on a physical form to get to it. She develops a friendship with both Solas and ‘Dysia, and ‘Dysia and Solas have a sort of… well. They’re at odds because of their patrons and tend to butt heads, but they also sleep together. It’s a complicated relationship, which gets more complication after ‘Dysia and Ellana start sleeping together (I have a fic for their first night together, actually - it’s called Modeling Expectations) and Solas is Very Concerned that ‘Dysia is taking advantage of Ellana’s newness to the embodied world. She’s not, it’s fine. He’s also definitely a little jealous. Figuring out all their conflicting feelings leads to them deciding to see if the three of them could make a relationship work - a first night which involves much wine-ing and dining and a very fancy rented room - and turns out they’re all quite compatible as a throuple. Felassan gets involved later as a friends with benefits after the girls find out about his past with Solas and get a bit curious. He’s not a part of the romantic dynamic, but they’re all very good friends.
Solas and ‘Dysia are very alike in their pride and stubbornness, but also in the depth of how much they care. Ellana has that same deep caring for others but, despite being the youngest, is generally more level-headed and willing to find compromises. She helps them keep their heads on straight. It balances them out. Not that she isn’t also prideful and stubborn, she’s just more likely to ply them with smiles and sweetness than to get bratty. Which is a theme in all aspects of their relationship lmao.
The au actually ends up bleeding into the inquisitor timeline since they help him with the whole veil thing. ‘Dysia and Ellana manage to stick together, but they get separated from Solas (he assumes they died)- they manage to track him back to skyhold eventually where they tearfully reunite and the whole of the inquisition is shocked to find out their local apostate hobo has two gorgeous girlfriends.

On Solas
Decided to try to organise some of my thoughts on Solas, so here it goes.
What we first know of Solas is that he’s an elf and a mage, the elven hobo apostate. From the game we can learn he’s an electromancer (in autolevel he prioritises the Storm tree abilities), and later on a Rift Mage, one could assume because he’s the “Fade expert” but further on we learn is because he’s the one responsible for the creation of the Veil.
There have always been elements linking him to Fen’Harel and then to the Fade and the Veil, as seen in the Fade Wall Shield dropped by Gaxkang (one of the Forbiden Ones) in DAO, a shield with a name that basically means Veil (what’s the wall in the Fade?) and has a wolf head design on it, design that somewhat resembles the Mask of Fen’Harel as seen in DA:Redemption. That Mask of Fen’Harel can be used to open portals on the Veil and into the Fade, and is activated in Redemption through an ritual that includes blood ( in the miniseries it turns out to be an elven girl’s blood).
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/9f63a95fa4f54114811ef0c215a4671a/df41409feb5c436c-c5/s540x810/0da201f93e640d4726e3f84559562013d703fdde.jpg)
Considering his stance on blood magic (remarkably similar to Merrill’s, by the way), I think it’s safe to say he has used it before. That’s possibly why the Mask of Fen’Harel is activated with blood, and that’s why in order to break the Veil open time and time again we’ve seen big bloody sacrifices must be made. First record of this is the Magisters Sidereal using blood magic and almost all lyrium available in Tevinter to rip the Veil open (lyrium also being blood, and elven slaves prefered for sacrifice for their special elven blood, this means a lot of blood with magical properties of one or other nature is required to break through the Veil), second instance of some form of blood offering meant to grant one physical access to the Fade is when Corypheus kills Divine Justinia during a ritual we only saw a glimpse of and was never explained. Thridly, we have repeated mentions of how spirits feel drawn to the Veil there where there’s been bloodshed, particularly battlefields. So it’s safe to assume blood in enough quantities weakens the Veil enough to make an opening.
The red lyrium idol is his. In Tevinter Nights he claimed it so, and i’ve already discussed this idol at length in a previous post. In TN however we get other bits of information, like how the idol seems to have a self-regenerating property (when it’s found intact inside Meredith’s red lyrium statue after she had used the idol to craft a sword), and most curiously, how it seems to be hollow and have some liquid inside that makes it feel like when one holds a bottle. We also learn in the Mortalitasi account that the idol may have a hidden blade and become a ritual knife. Perhaps the value of the red lyrium idol is not in it being made of red lyrium, but on its content. Say the idol we see is a hilt, it can produce a blade, and it’s filled with ...blood. I think it’s possible its content is blood.
As per Cole’s comment in Trespasser, “the wolf chewed its leg off to escape the trap”, that sounds more like he sacrificed a big part of himself, most likely his power, that he may have concentrated and stored in the very same idol used for the Veil ritual. It would also explain why the one who created the Veil would wake up from Uthenera so weakened. There’s his foci as well, but I think that one mainly held memories, and in those memories there was knowledge that could grant great power (rather than containing actual power). Why he’d be after the foci first and not the idol could be because the foci was the safest option, or the one he already knew the location of. Clearly, the Anchor was plan A, and the red lyrium idol seems to be plan B.
Then I suspect Solas has what I call Word power, a form of influence or manifestation magic. I’ve found two distinct instances where Solas seems to use this, the first being when at Skyhold he tells the Inquisitor to “wake up”, revealing their conversation was taking place in a dream in the Fade. Upon realising “this isn’t real” the Inquisitor doesn’t wake up, they only do it after Solas gives the command. The other instance is after Solas leaves the Inquisition, when the Inquisitor can talk to Cole and he speaks Solas’ words, a message Solas delivers through him.
Solas is also a Dreamer, possibly why the Inquisitor walks in on him while dreaming at Skyhold, and surely how Solas can manage to kill people in their sleep in TN (granted, those were dwarves and dwarves allegedly don’t dream, but as far as we know they may still have a presence in the Fade while asleep, just have no memory of dreaming, no awareness of it). In fact the first appearance of Solas in DA media was in TME where he meets Felassan in the Fade, while he dreams to contact him. It’s widely believed that Solas killed Felassan then and there.
Then he is clearly an artist. Seems murals are his primary medium for storytelling. He adorns the rotunda in Skyhold with murals depicting the story of the Inquisition as it unfolds. Trespasser has several more murals telling stories of what happened, and I think it’s safe to assume there’s more than one self-portrait in them.
He’s a shapeshifter, as pointed by some codex entries that imply the Evanuris took dragon forms on ocassion, and in the Evanuris propaganda against him found at the Vir Dirthara. He is twice the shapeshifter or perhaps not a good one, depends on your perspective, if we consider his chosen form, the Dread wolf, is described as either a giant wolf with dragon-like scales, or a dragon of some lupine features. Is the Dread Wolf a wolf that looks like a dragon, or a dragon that looks like a wolf? I found it kind of funny how in TN his appearance description includes spirits forming as wings of fire to fly him around. Personally I don’t consider Regret’s description here because that was a particular demon feeding off what he had left behind, not his actual image.
He is, in a way, the Maker. Of present Thedas, shaped by his creating the Veil. The implications of this interpretation brings forth many more questions i’m not currently dwelling on.Let’s ignore this for now and possibly forever, it gives me a headache.
He was a warrior, as expressed in his banter with Blackwall. Considering how in post-Arlathan wolves were guardians to the Emerald Knights, and how in Trespasser’s Deep Roads his statues are described as guarding alongside Mythal’s, it’s possible he was once one of Mythal’s soldiers, perhaps part of her personal Guard, becoming a friend -or more - favoured enough, maybe rewarded for his service reaching to a point where he became almost an equal? From this analysis it could be that Solas ascended to Evanuris status after his contribution in the war against the Titans. He was rebel fighter too, as evidenced in his banter with Sera, he possibly started as part of a large army but then started a revolution that operated in much smaller cells.
He was Skyhold’s former master. That fortress belonged to him. The very name of the place, elven in origin, hints at it being the location from where the Veil was placed, or at the very least where the ritual for it was initially performed. I suspect he also had a significant presence in the Exalted Plains, something about it reminds me of the landscape from the Elven Ruins at Trespasser, also because it’s the one and only place so far where we see a shrine dedicated to Fen’Harel. In an area with an electric dragon ( yet another hint at his electromancy). More importantly, while the shrine’s codex leads us to believe the reason why elves would make the Dread Wolf any offering would be to appease him and be spared his evil doings, this shrine depicts a black wolf figure and a white wolf figure, which are reminiscing of Solas’ tarot cards, The Tower (big menaching shadow wolf figure) and The Hierophant ( fluffy white companion wolf figure). Whatever the reasons for the Dalish to erect a shrine to the Dread Wolf it seems somehow in some way a certain knowledge of his dual nature is not entirely lost. Also, there’s the gigantic wolf statue atop a mountain in the distance, biggest one i’ve seen so far:
Which brings me to the main point of this ramble, his latest symbol depincting three wolf heads on a brooch he’s wearing in DA4 concept art.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/105604a4512baed433b5f9ed65c4dae3/df41409feb5c436c-dd/s540x810/80daa3a0d191b24e0e9b3019b06a41ec951710d8.jpg)
It may be symbolic in a couple of ways. First in regards to his identity as in the elf, the creator (Evanuris), and the betrayer. Secondly as in the man, the spirit, and the “god”. As well as the three different realms he is connected to: the physical world, the Void, and the Fade. Personally I doubt this is the strange symbol used by some self-identifying Agents of Fen’Harel in TN, I think what they may be wearing could be an elven rune or ancient symbol we haven’t seen yet, hence why it was described as “strange”. I mean, if I see three wolf heads, I say it’s three wolf heads. Interestingly enough, he still wears the wolf jawbone (in this new concept art, it has some new circular designs on it as well, if you zoom in on a better quality picture) and i’m forever curious why he even has that in the first place. Did he just pick it up to use as a subtle hint of his true identity, or did the bone belong to a wolf he cared about? Why has its design changed?
So far this is what i have in mind about him.

Wolf Statues and the Tower of Bone tinfoil!
A theory about wolf statues crossed my dash again which...got me thinking along a somewhat separate train of thought of all the different places we find them. I’ve seen the posts about the Dales/Exalted Plains, but not much about somewhere like Emprise du Lion. I’m not sure if this has already been talked about, but I’ve been searching and can’t find any posts elsewhere.
This is going to be a long and rambling post about Wolf statues and Emprise du Lion, so a two in one theory 😂. I’ve never actually written a meta and I generally hoard my theories and write them in fic...because I’m not good at writing anything that isn’t in story format. You’ve been warned lol
First, some really long and tangential exposition about statues.
There are a ton of Wolf statues across the game. We’ve got a whole pack of them across the Exalted Plains watching over various locations. But they’re also located in a lot of the elven temples we run across as well. @serial-chillr and I were talking about the possibility that, assuming the Wolves are all Fen’Harel statues (unless the ones in the Dales are Emerald Knight wolves, but I kinda doubt that), then what is the likelihood of Solas himself having built these statues?
We know from Solas himself that elvhen nobility used to mark their slaves to honour the ‘god’ that they subscribed to. Sooo, why wouldn’t the more zealous ones build great big monuments in addition to marking their slaves?
What I fail to see mentioned in a lot of fics and theories is much mention of these nobles or the politics of Elvhenan. I’m sure that higher ranking elves probably owned land within Evanuris territory, and they probably needed permission before doing so, but I’ll bet that if a kiss-ass noble came up to one of the gods asking to build a pretty statue (hoping for bonus points) the narcissistic bastard god was probably like “You want to build a statue of moi? BUT OF COURSE!!!” and maybe gave the noble a pat on the head and a cookie for kissing butt.
For posterity:
That being said, because I can’t help but mention my own worldbuilding fic, The Guardian, I’m assuming the statues were built of Fen’Harel, and while Solas might not have really approved (or maybe wasn’t even able to stop them from being constructed ‘nu stop I’m not a godddd‘) he would instead have found a way to use them to his advantage. I write that he begins placing statues where allies (both agents and freed slaves) can find them and follow them back to safe places marked for the Rebellion. I go into slightly more detail regarding these special wolves (how he would get statues into the temples/palaces of the Evanuris and how to distinguish them from regular ones) in a plot involving infiltration of a compound in Chapters 111-120. I can’t give away all my secrets!
Anyway, moving onto statues in specific locations:
The one in Emprise du Lion
hewwoh big boi
What I find fascinating about this one specifically is that it’s also located in the same region as Suledin Keep (which also has wolfies inside of it ofc). Because of the landmarks codex in Emprise I’m hedging that this land used to belong to Elgar’nan. Look at Pools of the Sun for reference - THAT’S ALL I GOT FOR NOW
Anyhow, floundering, but my attention was next drawn to the Tower of Bone
In this story, a blood mage summoned a greater pride demon, who then possessed the entire tower. When the mage died, his sons were unable to control the demon, so they commissioned eight monstrous iron chains intended to hold it. The touch of the cold iron chain is the only thing holding the stone abomination in place. Should they break, the tower will pull itself off its foundations and walk, destroying everything in its path.
I know that they found human bones in the tower, but bear with me. I’m tinfoiling hard and trying to read deeper and tie it all together but I’m just a humble apostate hobo.
Anyway, some blood mage summoned a greater pride demon who in turn possesses the tower - of the companions, Solas has the Tower tarot card. The next sequence in the story, the sons bind the tower with 8 chains. The only mention I could find of the number 8 is in the Draconis codex where it mentions there being a possible 8th Old God being stricken from records.
Should all the chains break, the Tower will destroy everything in its path.
The Tower tarot, as we’ve seen in a hundred other tin foils, is commonly interpreted as meaning danger, crisis, destruction, and liberation. It is also associated with sudden unforseen change. WHICH ISN’T NECESSARILY A BAD THING! (Look, despite everything, I’m hanging to that thread of hope that Solas will have a good ending).
So, again, I’m probably totally wrong but the symbolism here has some pretty interesting potential if it is referring at all to Solas and the Evanuris.
Recap:
>random thought (because I’m totally writing this on the fly) but IF the 8 chains symbolise something more, then maybe it’s possible that the 8th ‘God’ could be the Sun that is briefly mentioned in elven legend (referring to the codex I mentioned above). And the Sun could be symbolism for yet another thing we aren’t aware of. Whether that’s some sort of dragon or spirit or entity we haven’t been introduced to in game (yet).
>The chains themselves could also be representative of holding back...again, something we don’t know. Blight? Something worse? (thinking about the Dread Wolf Rises mural and the seals, but there are only 7 there. Maybe the 8th is the thing they’re holding prisoner if it isn’t free?) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
>While I’m down this rabbit hole, maybe the 8th is part of this: “A final eluvian is situated in a peaceful bolt-hole where Solas has painted murals. Fen’Harel was here and wanted to make sure nobody ever found what the other gods were doing.” - this can be found in the game files under bolt_hole (in other words, maybe it has to do with whatever they found?)
>A big ass, greater Pride demon (more Sooooolllasss symbolism? looking at Tevinter Nights and some other cool theories on Dread Wolf - Pride demon connections)
>Reoccuring tower symbolism (does the little wolf Rook that Mark Darrah tweeted a while back count?)
>Breaking chains (liberation?)
>ALSO THE TOWER IS COVERED IN RED LYRIUM (AAAAAAAH)
>Someone’s gonna go wreak havoc when a Specific Thing Happens (*cough* Solas? *cough*)
I realise I flew off the handles here and I’m not sure if anyone is going to even be able to follow this tangent 😂
Anyway, that’s it for now until I think of something else. If you’re into a long winded fic of worldbuilding and lore weaving, check out The Guardian where I do a lot better job of putting my thoughts into words. I swear I’m not usually this scatterbrained and I spend a LOT of time weaving theories...that I then hoard like Smeagol. :3
As a closing message, I’d like to include this shot of my dear friend @schoute ‘s Piper Lavellan who doesn't know where the fuck she is.
Thanks for reading and I apologise if you’ve lost any braincells in this thought spaghetti orz

Call me weirdo, but I feel like I discovered the mystery of universe *dramatic organ music plays*.
I think, Solas' greatest lie is: he don't lie. Boom.
He doesn't told the whole truth, but it can hardly called a lie. Half-truths maybe?
Ehm.. the orb belongs to elven god? yes. the romance end up badly? yes. need to aware of ally's betrayal, not an enemy's? yes. dangerous to drink from well of sorrows? yes. vallaslin is a slave markings? yes (as we seen it on frescoes in dlc).
That's comfortable for him to be a liar in the eyes of others. It gives a freedom to say anything he wants. During the one of the dialogues Solas said, if you expect to see a demon - spirit can become a demon. Same thing, I suppose. If person thinks he's a liar, he would be okay with that.
(Yet I remember a few moments with actual bullshit: "I don't know how Corypheus got the orb" and "veilfire? wtf? never seen before").
Actually, during the inquisition there was a dozens of hints. Solas doesn't try hard to hide (carelessness or fast understanding everyone's negligence?). Nobody paid attention.
I mean.. He was at war (talk with Blackwall) - like.. what war? He's not a dalish and never was.. what kind of elven war it could be? Great Apostate Fight for last pair of pants? And he knows a lot. A LOT. Giant baggage of different knowledge and skills. That's impossible for his "age" (40-45, like he supposably pretends). Ancient technique of drawing? Elvhen language, lost and forgotten by dalish, proud keepers of elven history? Manners and intelligence, but hobo lifestyle? And all this "this age made people cinical" or "I miss court intrigues". The next step could be a howling or a flag with "Dread Wolf is here, bitches".
All were so busy with running around Corypheus and couldn't stop just for a minute to think and put two and two.
So, yes, basically, he doesn't lie. Just nobody listens.
After all, inquisitor didn't ask right question. Like, "hey 'sup, dude.. so.. are you kinda Fen'Harel or not?". Maybe, he would answered honestly.

Dya'hel's relationships with companions & advisors
@lavellanlove asked me what her relationships were like with the other companions & advisors, so I decided to make a post about it because I found the question pretty interesting ^^ I hope you wouldn't mind the tag!
(Btw, if you are interested, the link for asking questions should have been enabled. I'm sorry I did not noticed before it was blocked!)
Companions
CASSANDRA:
Her relationship with Cassandra is quite hard at first. Basically, Cassandra scares as hell her because she always feels like the woman is about to draw the sword and cut her apostate throat. The two of them then, slowly become friends especially when Cassandra starts to open a bit. She reveals herself to be as pure as Dya'hel and a mother-like supporter. At the end of the game, they are bestfriends.
(You can find more on Headcanon#6: )
VARRIC:
Although Dya'hel will never be like Hawke to him, He treats her like a friend. Maybe more like a precious cinnamon roll to protect like "Daisy". In fact, she reminds him a lot of Merrill and sometimes he makes jokes about this. At first, he sure likes her because the fact she's part of a ethnic minorance and her innocence gives him the chance for doing some funny storytelling. In the end of the game, he becomes to Dya'hel like the uncle she never had.
SOLAS:
You probably already know a lot about their relationship since he's her love interest and I keep spam the two of them together hahah. Almost certainly soulmates and very close since the very beginning, it was love at first sight. They let things happen between their two without even noticing it at first. Forcing to end their true and inconditionate love it's what brokes them eventually in the end, knowing that they are losing the person who really belongs to each other.
DORIAN:
He finds Dya'hel truly beautiful in a matter of an objective point of view. He enjoys to be sassy with Solas and very caregiving with her, and secretely is one of the best supporters of their relationship. He values Dya'hel like a great companion and during the time they spend together, he manages to see in her some kind of hidden strenght that leads him to have an high consideration of her. In the end of the game, He stays with her for a long time after Solas leaves and becomes a sort of big brother to Dya.
SERA:
Sera finds her scary at first. Dya'hel is everything she dislikes in a single person: An elf, a mage and an "herald of Andraste". She pranks her a lot in Haven and Skyhold, making fun of her not-yet-relationship with Solas, turning their attempt of flirt in something awkward. But Dya'hel is too kind to get angry and tell her to leave the inquisition. So she kills Sera with kindness until Sera herself understands that Dya'hel is nothing of dangerous for her and that she can be trusted. Sera feels strange after realizing this, and also a little bit guilty. So she takes Dya with her on a pranking adventure to bother others and see how it goes. Revaluating her, they slowly become friends.
IRONBULL:
In the beginning, Bull thinks Dya is a fragile and shy lady elf who doesn't know how to relate with others. But in their first fighting together, He sees her as the war machine she's inside and completely changes his mind. Despite that, He's convinced by Sera to prank Dya'hel together and take her to the tavern to make her drink like there's no tomorrow. Dya'hel's low alcohol tolerance always guarantee the maximum fun on each trip. In the end of the game, Bull sees Dya as a friend and as a great companion, seeing other aspects of her character beside her shiness and her awkwardness.
BLACKWALL:
He's surprised at first to see an elf as the herald of Andraste. But her open minded character and her pure soul, makes his heart skip a beat. He has a crush on her for a very long time. And that's so big, he feels like he's competing with Solas at a certain point, even if he NEVER tells nobody about his feelings for her. Probably, only Cole knows. Anyway, Dya'hel sees him just like a friend and a good companion. He always has her back and protect her during fightings. Even in the end of the game, after Solas' betrayal, he doesn't confess his feelings knowing that Dya'hel would never love nobody else as much as she loves Solas. So he stays at Skyhold, silent, trying to confort Dya'hel as best as he can, serving her with determination. I think his love can be seen as one of the purest form, since it's based on the concept of letting free and see the other one happy instead of being selfish and wanting to be absolutely loved back.
VIVIENNE:
As well as Dorian, Vivienne sees Dya'hel as one of the most beautiful and classy creatures of the whole Thedas. The only thing she finds indigest about Dya, is her far-too-much-Solas-like humilty. She thinks that one apostate hobo in the party is enough. So she tries to convince Dya'hel in dressing up a little bit fancier than usual, and she proclames herself the inquisitor's "fashion advisor". She becomes the fashionable Aunt taht Dya'hel never had before. With this, Vivienne becomes also one of her closest friends after her breaking up woth Solas, remembering how Dya helped her in her darkest moments when her beloved duke died. Vivienne and Dorian in the end, are like Dya'hel's “feelings body guards”. They keep Solas in the distance to prevent her mental breakdown and they make fun of him in a very sassy way. Their poisonus tongues are like a wall between Dya and Solas after their break up.
COLE:
In my game, Cole becomes a Spirit. Before this, though, Dya'hel is one of the ones that tries to understand Cole's strange manners, feeling close to him due to his being emarginated from everyone. They have long talks about the fade and sometimes, even Solas takes part to their chit chats. Dya'hel wants to protect him to the bad of the world and let him be what he feels right to be. Cole owes her his life, so he becomes a devote spirit to her. He wants her and Solas to be together forever, so after his betrayal and also after the very end of the game, he travels everywhere to find him and make him come back to Dya'hel. Cole becomes the very link between Dya and Solas even after the events.
Advisors
CULLEN:
He doesn't talk much to Dya'ahel. He feels shy in her presence and limits their talks on organizational matters. Their relationship is trictly professional and Cullen really admire her for her actions and her will to make Thedas a better palce for everyone.
LELIANA
She really doesn't know how to handle Dya'hel. Her researches tells her very slightly informations about the girl so she has no idea about who she really is or what she should say to her. Her eagerness to know her more tho, scares a lot Dya'hel so they end up not talking much. Despite that, Leliana really tries hard to get close to her by giving her The Hero of Ferelden's grey warden outfit as a present (like descripted in one of the headcanons). Dya'hel reminds her of her disappeared friend, so Leliana is always kind but a little bit malinchonic when she tries to approach Dya. In the end, their friendship is stronger on leliana's side, since Dya'hel is too shy and she still feels like they are not that close to be called friends.
JOSEPHINE:
She feels like that asking questions to Dya'hel could always hurt her elfy feelings. Everytime she tries to know something deeper about Dya, the girl becomes silent and leaves. The truth is that at the beginning, Dya is still confused by the events and doesn't know who she should trust. Plus, Dya'hel has always had difficulties in trusting people with high roles in the community, due to her turbolent past in the Dalish tribe. With time, they manage to talk a bit but it takes forever to Dya to open up with Josie. So, her relationship with Josephin stays on a level of not-yet-friendship. Like it's freezed in the step before turning out to be real friendship.
NOTES IN THE END: They all become like a big family, even if someone might be not that close to Dya. Eventually, the fact that in my head she becomes pregnant at some point (see Cassandra's headcanon), makes everyone get closer to the kid and act like a real family. Nobody is left alone! (Except Egghead, but he deserves it XD)
